Ch. 271..275: Fatal Kiss Of The Vampire Chapter 271-275
Chapter 271: Get Away From Me
There was a loud sound as Ken’s head snapped back, and his body hit the floor. When he was able, he got up on his elbows and wiped his mouth. He looked down at the blood on the back of his hand and smiled. “You can hit me,” Ken said, “but you cannot contain the fact that you have been with another woman.”
Kylie looked at Ken and then at Dora. She walked to Dora, grabbed her by the sleeve, and began dragging her in the direction of the kitchen. “We need to talk alone,” she said. Before they’d left the room, though, she turned to Ken and asked him to wait in the hallway outside the apartment.
Ken struggled to his feet, and he said, “Call me if you need me.”
Entering into the dining room, Kylie saw two dishes of food on the table and a bottle of red wine. She looked everything over, smiled, and said, “I haven’t had dinner yet. Why don’t we have dinner together?”
Before Dora could answer, Ethan came in. He looked at them and said, “Eat if you want. If you want anything special, let me know, and I will make it for you.”
Hearing this, Kylie’s mouth nearly dropped to the floor. He had never made such an offer for her… She couldn’t believe it… Thinking quickly, she decided to pretend that it was no big deal. She turned to Dora and said, “My husband is such a great cook. Have you tried his cooking yet?”
Not wanting to be outdone by Kylie, Dora said, “I have, and it is very good. Usually, he brings a good wine to pair with it.”
Kylie shrugged, and as she ate, she looked up and noticed that Dora wasn’t eating. “Why don’t you eat something?” she wondered.
Dora merely shrugged. She hadn’t expected Kylie to show up, and now she had, and she found that she’d lost her appetite. She kept looking in Kylie’s direction. For the life of her, she couldn’t understand why Kylie was so calm. Feeling ballsy suddenly, she turned to Ethan and said, “I’ve got your room ready.”
Kylie smiled. She thought that it was funny that Dora thought that Ethan would be spending the night with her. Over my dead body, she thought. Kylie turned her head around to look at Ethan, only to find that he was staring at her. “Why are you staring at me?” she wondered. “You must like what you see!”
Dora stood akimbo and scowled silently as her face turned red.
Ethan chuckled. It seemed that, somehow, their rivalry had shifted the blame away from him and towards each other. Furthermore, it was a turn on to watch them squabbling over him. He had a plate of ribs in his hand, and he placed one of them on Kylie’s plate. “Your favorite,” he said. “Sweet and sour ribs – enjoy!”
Kylie took a bite, and her eyes widened in surprise. God, she thought. This is delicious! After swallowing a bite of the meat, she followed it with a crisp piece of celery. Looking at the food, she felt as though she’d been set up. Everything on the table was her favorite, and she found it highly unlikely that she and Dora shared the exact same tastes in food.
***
As she watched Ethan dish food onto Kylie’s plate, Dora was shocked. He hadn’t even offered to put any food onto her plate. Not only was she shocked, but the display made her tired and sad. This was supposed to be her special night. She wanted to cry, but she had no desire to give Kylie the satisfaction.
It was only now that she realized that everything on the table had been catered to Kylie’s tastes. She didn’t even like celery!
After the meal was finished, Dora cleaned up while Ethan and Kylie chatted in the living room. They sat down, and Ethan told Kylie a little bit about the apartment. It had been built ten years ago. It was well maintained. There were two bedrooms and a large living room. “When I returned,” Ethan explained, “This was my first gift to Dora.”
He tried to put his arm around Kylie’s waist, but she pulled away.
Ethan looked at her sadly and said, “I’ll give you an explanation.”
“I won’t listen,” Kylie hissed as she made a show of covering her ears. “At this point, I have no reason to care about anything that you have to say. I came here to see what you were doing because clearly, you’d lied to me about the business trip. Now that I have my answer, I really should be on my way. Ken is waiting outside. He can send me home.”
Ethan sighed, and he said, “I may stray; I am a man, and that is what men do. That is not what I am doing now, though, and you can rest assured that I will always come home to you. My whole body, including my cock, belongs to you.”
Hearing this, Kylie looked at him curiously. On the one hand, she didn’t like that he was cheating. On the other hand, though, she accepted his needs and was happy to know that no matter who he was with, she held the lease on his heart.
Suddenly Dora walked in but, as soon as Kylie saw her, she commanded her to get back into the kitchen. “Fuck off!” she shouted. “We’re talking in here!”
Dora ignored her, though. She turned to Ethan and said. “I have a movie. Should we watch it? It has Kylie Roberts in it…”
Ethan frowned, but he did not say anything.
“I heard the production is very good,” Dora continued.
“No, thank you,” Ethan finally replied. “I am tired. You go ahead. Kylie and I will sleep in the guest room.”
Ethan stood up and pulled Kylie to her feet. “Let’s go,” he said.
Dora stared at them in exasperation but, as they walked out of the living room, she found she couldn’t speak. She pressed her fist to her open mouth as tears streamed down her face, but still, she remained silent.
As soon as Kylie and Ethan were alone, she demanded to know what was going on and why he’d brought her into the room. “Isn’t this supposed to be your time with Dora?” she wondered.
Ethan looked at her and said, “Never mind that. I already explained that it is not what you think. You have no good reason not to stay with me.”
Ethan closed the door behind them, sat on the bed, and beckoned her to come to him. Kylie looked at him, defiantly. “Do you think that it will be that easy to win me over?” she wondered, “… and to forgive you?”
Without warning, Ethan’s hand stretched out, and he took hold of her arm. She tried to pull away, but his grasp was too strong. She looked at him angrily and hissed, “Let me go, you bastard. After everything you have put me through, you have no right!”
Ignoring her cries, Ethan laid back in the bed, pulled her in with him, and covered them with a quilt. “I don’t want you to go,” he said. “We don’t have to fuck or anything. We can just talk. Either way, you may as well not resist because I am not letting you go.”
As he spoke, he used his free hand to tear her shirt open at the front and undo the clasp that held her bra together. The cups fell to either side of her, and her humongous breasts happily billowed free from their confinement. Then, as he fondled her breasts, he reassured her. “I won’t fuck you unless you want me to,” he said.
He gave her boobs a tentative squeeze, a little harder than the first, and she moaned in discomfort. “Please,” she cried, “don’t hurt me…”
Ethan smiled, and he said, “I am just having a little fun. I promise that I won’t hurt you.”
Kylie turned around with a surprised look in her eyes. He had told her many times that he wouldn’t hurt her, but this was the first time that he’d ever promised… which made her wonder if things could be different between them…
“I wasn’t fucking Dora,” Ethan said, out of nowhere. “She just wanted me to stay with her for a few days, as roommates – nothing more. It’s the least that I could have done for her. In retrospect, I should have told you, but I didn’t think that you’d understand.”
“What if she asked you to have sex with her?” Kylie wondered.
“I already told you,” Ethan replied as he cupped her pubic mound, “my whole body, including cock, is yours.”
Kylie wriggled, and she tried to get away from him, but his grasp on her remained as hard as ever. “Please don’t go,” he cried. “I haven’t slept properly in days. You know I can’t get a proper night’s sleep unless I have my one hand cupping your cunt and my other hand on your breast. Be kind. I need you.”
“If that were true,” Kylie snapped, “you would never have come to stay here!”
“I already told you this was a mistake,” Ethan replied. “Must you punish me forever?”
Kylie glared at him and said, “Obviously, I cannot punish you forever, but it has barely been an hour since I walked in on you and Dora. Surely you can see that your punishment has barely begun. I will tell you this also; I will punish you, but, in order to settle the score, I will expect you to make reparation payments.”
Ethan misunderstood the meaning of her words, and he grinned like a Cheshire cat. He increased the pressure to her pubic mound and moaned in her ear. “If it is reparation that you want,” he said. “I will be more than happy to pay.”
“Gross!” Kylie shouted as she pushed at him with all of her strength. “That is the last thing in the world that I want right now – get away from me!”
Chapter 272: Submit
Not liking the way things were going, Ethan grabbed her hands and held them above her head. In her own defense, she turned her head and bit into his triceps. Ethan shrieked in pain, and Kylie smiled. “Do you want Dora to hear from you?” she laughed.
“I don’t care,” Ethan hissed as he tightened his grip on her arms. “She is a grown-ass woman. She knows what goes on in a bedroom between a man and a woman!”
“I thought you promised not to hurt me anymore?” Kylie growled.
“I don’t want to hurt you; I really don’t,” Ethan replied, “but what am I supposed to do when you put up such a fight all of the time. You are my wife. You are supposed to submit to me, it even says so in the Bible. You should thank your lucky stars we don’t live back then. If we did, I could have you stoned for your insolence.”
Hearing this, Kylie suddenly realized that she’d been in the wrong all along. She began to cry. “You are right,” she said. “You have been so patient with me. I apologize. How can I make it up to you?”
Ethan released her arms and hugged her as he might a prodigal daughter. He kissed her neck and whispered into her ear, “Submit. Follow direction. Do you understand?”
Kylie nodded.
“Take off your pants and your panties,” he ordered. “Lay back and spread your legs. I want to show you that I have your best interests at heart. It will be good for you when you obey, and you will be glad that you did. If you submit, nothing bad will ever happen to you; and never forget – Daddy knows best!”
Kylie met his eyes for a moment, and then she slipped out of her clothes. As soon as she was on the bed, Ethan climbed above her and kissed the skin just above her breasts. He kissed his way down her body. Occasionally, he traced his fingers around her areola, pulled at her nipple, or played with her breasts – but it was clear to her that his target has lower.
As Ethan kissed the area slightly above her pubic mound, Ethan took her legs, lifted them up, and had her hold them near her head. Then, without missing a beat, he took one slow taste of her wet core, from her clitoris to her anus.
At the feel of his tongue along with her most sensitive place, Kylie shivered, moaned, and begged for more.
Outside of the room, Dora sat with her back to the door. All she could do was listen, but if she closed her eyes, she could see exactly what was going on. It hurt her that Ethan had decided to desecrate her home in such a way. That being said, It was such an incredible turn on that she’d been dripping wet the minute they’d started fighting on the bed, and as Ethan’s tongue found Kylie’s clitoris, her hand found her own clitoris.
When Kylie climaxed, she had to cover her mouth with both hands to cover any sound that she might have otherwise made. Then, before she put her hand back in her pants, she made sure she licked the ejaculate off each finger. It tasted good. It made her want more.
Listening to the sounds in the room as they got louder and louder, she put her hands up under her bra to get at her breasts. She pulled her shirt and bra up over her breasts and brought her nipples to her mouth. It felt so good and, as she climaxed again and again, she imagined that it was Ethan’s mouth on her breasts and his tongue on her clitoris.
She knew, of course, that she would be mortified if someone caught her but, with the sound in the room, she felt safe. If they stopped, she could easily slip into the bathroom, and they would be none the wiser.
It was another twenty minutes before Ethan made that noise man make before they ejaculated. It was a kind of uh uh uh ahhhh. He had taken her from behind, and then she had taken him in her mouth and, finally, he had ejaculated all over her face and breasts. From outside the door, he could hear Kylie licking it up, thanking him, and telling him how good it tasted.
Dora bit her lip and darted quickly back to her bedroom. She closed the door behind herself and locked it. She couldn’t wait to take off her clothes and lay on the bed. While she had been masturbating, she’d made an audio recording of Kylie and Ethan, so, as soon as she was comfortable, she pressed play. Kylie and Ethan may have finished, but she had not!
***
The next day, Ethan drove Kylie to the set in person. On the way, he asked her how her stocks were doing. She told him that they were still gradually going down. “I think someone is helping Khloe, though,” she said. “I think that there is something illegal going on. It doesn’t seem coincidental that, just as the stocks go down, Khloe comes into money. If she bought up a shit-ton of stocks, and then the value of the stocks shot up overnight, she would have control over the company and be an instant billionaire.
“Will you sell your stocks?” Ethan wondered. “Just to be on the safe side… I mean, nothing is guaranteed in this world.”
“I’m not sure,” Kylie replied. “As long as I stay one step ahead of Khloe and Matthew, I should be fine. Khloe asked Matthew to help her deal with me, but his and Aiden’s business was ruined by you. Any money that he has now is probably nothing but credit. Once Garcia Entertainment’s stock falls low enough, he won’t be able to repay his credit, and all of his assets will be frozen and taken away from him.
“I know you hate Matthew, and you want revenge,” Kylie continued, “but you don’t need to lift a hand. Just sit back and watch him self-destruct.”
Ethan lit a cigarette and considered her words. For all that Matthew and Aiden had done, he didn’t think that their self-destruction was enough. That was punishment for what they’d done to themselves. It did not even the score between them and the people in their lives that they’d wronged.
As soon as Kylie arrived on set, Dinah ran to her and asked her why Ethan had returned early from his business trip. Kylie looked at her and made up some reason on the fly. It wasn’t like she would confirm it with him so she could have, literally, said anything!”
After dressing, Kylie contacted Ken and asked him if he was okay. As soon as he opened his mouth, though, he started to yell. He began to curse at her but, before he could get very far, she cut his words off. “Don’t pretend you are some angel,” she hissed. “You brought me there to ruin my marriage, and now you are angry because we worked through our problems!”
Kylie told Ken to fuck off, and then she hung up.
As soon as Kylie turned around, she saw Sally arrive. Sally walked over to where Kylie was standing, and she said, “I heard your argument. Was that your boyfriend? Are you alright?”
“He’s not my boyfriend,” Kylie sighed. She looked at Sally and explained the situation with Ken. Kylie suddenly recalled how she’d failed her on-set friend and said, “I am really sorry that we couldn’t do more for you. Luckily, all you need is some make-up, and you are fit as a fiddle. You look absolutely beautiful today!”
Sally thanked Kylie and then took her to leave. She said she had an important matter to deal with, and Kylie believed her. Once she was out of sight, though, Kylie ordered Dinah to follow her; just in case. She said, “If she is up to anything nefarious, I would like to know why – and don’t let her see you!”
“I can’t do that,” Dinah sighed. “Ethan is already paying me to follow you around. If he found out that I left your side, he would kill me!”
Kylie glared at her. “He’s not here,” she said. “What are you afraid of?”
“Alright,” Dinah replied. “I will do as you’ve asked.”
Dinah followed closely behind Sally, and it was difficult. Sally acted paranoid all the time. Every few seconds, she looked behind her. Midway through the day, Sally got in her car and drove to her doctor’s office. Dinah recognized quickly as a place that specialized in plastic surgery.
She updated Kylie by text, and a response came almost instantaneously: “Find a way to get her medical records.”
“Should I confront her, threaten her, or blackmail her?” Dinah wondered.
“Do what you need to do,” Kylie replied. “Once you have them, get them to Stephen. He’ll know what to do.”
Chapter 273: I Hope That I Don’t Let You Down
As soon as she was able, Kylie paid a visit to Garcia Entertainment. Upon arrival, she saw right away that their employees were on tenterhooks. She hadn’t realized that her absence caused them so much stress. As soon as she was seen, someone rushed up to her and said, “Thank God! You’re finally here. “The stocks are not going up. If they continue to drop, I’m afraid that our company could go bankrupt at any moment.”
“What is your biggest fear?” Kylie wondered.
“Someone has told me that I should begin looking for a new job,” she replied, “but I’m not young, and I still have responsibilities…. Furthermore, when I started here, I encouraged all of my relatives to buy our stocks. Now that the stocks are falling, everyone is angry with me. My grandmother could even lose her house. If that happened, she would have to come and live with me!”
“I don’t know what to say,” Kylie replied. “I am in the same boat as you. At this point, all we can do is hope and pray.”
“Hope and pray,” the woman laughed as she walked away. Once she was out of sight, Kylie walked towards her office, and as she went, she noticed that people were sluggish. Likely, the sensed impending doom, and it sat heavily on their hearts. If the company were to survive, though, she needed everyone to bring their A-Game every day. That being said, she did not know how to light a fire under their asses.
As she passed the water fountain, she was accosted by two other employees. They reminded her that it was nearly the end of the month, and they wanted to know if she would keep her promise to them. Before Kylie could answer, Lily, Fannie, and a number of artists, including Elizabeth Wilson, joined the conversation. They, too, were interested in the answer.
“I am doing my best,” Kylie replied sadly. “Don’t panic, though. There are still ten days left until the end of the month. I’ll try my best to keep my promise.”
Fannie looked at Kylie and said, “What can I do to help? We are like family here. If the company goes down, we all go down with it!”
Kylie smiled and said, “Just keep up the good work. If I need help in any area, I will call on one of you. As for now, we will be promoting a single artist. If we can show that we can bring an actor or actress from obscurity and raise her up like a star in the sky, our stocks’ values are sure to rise.”
All of the artists present wanted to hit it big, so they paid careful attention to see if Kylie would announce who she’d chosen to be the next rising star.
After a moment of suspense, Kylie pointed to Elizabeth Wilson and said, “I have made my choice.”
Seeing who had been chosen, everyone, including Lily, was taken aback. Elizabeth had only ever posed for print ads as a model. She also played the violin, but she never considered it an advantage in her career as an actress. After a moment, she looked at Kylie and said, “I am nobody. Are you sure that you want to take a chance on me?”
“I have faith in you,” Kylie replied. “Give this your all, and if you succeed, your star will rise, and you will be our savior. Don’t worry about the risk. The risk is mine to take, and in order for this to work, we have to prove ourselves to the industry with an unknown artist. If you need to improve your acting skills, don’t panic; I will provide you with an acting coach.”
Kylie turned to Fannie and said, “I’d like you to start promoting Wilson on Social Media. The sooner people see her face, the sooner she will become a household name. Never forget: this industry is built on hype.”
Kylie turned to Elizabeth and said, “After today, you will be under a kind of scrutiny that you have never previously faced. Until you are comfortable with the paparazzi, if they ask you any questions, I want you to smile and say, “I have no comment at this time,” until they leave you alone.
Elizabeth nodded and said, “I can do that,” and, “Thank you for this opportunity. I hope that I don’t let you down.”
***
Later that day, Fannie and Nina approached Kylie in her office to give her a progress report. “It is not going to be easy to promote Elizabeth,” they explained, “because she has nothing to promote. That being said, we could get you back on Harmonia TV. If you agree, they are willing to allow Elizabeth to join you.”
Kylie sighed. She was busy, and she had no desire to be back on the set of Harmonia TV, but she saw the wisdom in their suggestion. Harmonia had done a lot of good for her own career when she’d just started out, and she could see how it could help launch Elizabeth’s.
Kylie looked up and asked where Faith was.
“She said she had an important date,” Fannie replied.
Kylie’s heart sank, and she hoped that Faith wasn’t out with Ken before. Just to be safe, she phoned Ken’s cell phone. As soon as he answered, she snapped, “Where are you?”
“Why?” Ken laughed. “Do you miss me? Did you want to invite me to dinner?”
Kylie ignored him and asked if he was alone. Once he had assured her that he was, she hung up. As long as Faith wasn’t with Ken, she was confident that she was safe.
As Ken hung up the phone, he felt someone touch him on the shoulder. He turned and laughed. It was from Faith. “Oh, Faith,” he sighed. “As beautiful as ever.”
Faith smiled and showed him the papers in her hands. They were printouts of the stock exchange.
Ken laughed. “If you skip work,” he wondered, “aren’t you afraid that Kylie will get mad?”
She shrugged. She cared so much about Ken that her feelings over-rode her good sense. Ken continued to laugh and, the deeper his laugh became, the more she wanted him.
Ken took her hand and led her down the street. “Your hands are cold,” he said, “I want to buy you a hot drink.”
Faith looked at him, smiled, but said nothing. In the past, he had been mean to her. Now though, he was a complete gentleman. She knew that it had a lot to do with her looks, and that made her sad. That being said, she was still very happy to have the attention of such a handsome man.
They stopped at a café, and Ken bought them each a milk tea. As she drank her tea, she looked at him as if he was the only man in the world, but he warned her. He said, “Don’t fall in love with me. I will only break your heart.”
– But his words went in one ear and out the other. Over the course of things, though, he asked her a lot of questions about Kylie, which worried her. She prayed to God that he wasn’t using her to get to Kylie. It always seemed to her that everyone wanted Kylie, but nobody even noticed her, not even now, since she’d lost so much weight.
Acting on bravery she didn’t know was there, she looked at Ken and asked him if Kylie was the one person that he actually liked. Hearing this question, Ken’s ears turned red. He sighed and said, “I have always had a thing for Kylie. I have had a thing for her for a very long time. I admit that, readily. That doesn’t mean anything, though. Does it? She is taken, and I am single – and we are here, now, and together!”
In an attempt to change the subject, Ken asked her why she was so quiet and why she had to keep bringing Kylie into the conversation. “Aren’t we having a good time?” he wondered.
In a whisper, Faith explained that she had had minor surgery on her throat, and it wouldn’t be fully recovered for a few more days.
“That sounds terrible,” Ken replied. “I would hate that. I love to talk about it.”
As the stock market picked up in the afternoon, Ken kept his eyes fixed on Garcia Entertainment and was in constant communication with his broker. It was rumored that the price was about to double but, before that happened, the company was likely to take one more hit, and Ken wanted to get the shares at a rock bottom price.
Once he’d gotten his inside lead, he’d shared it with Kylie who, in turn, had shared it with Laurence. As he received the information, though, he felt guilty. After everything that had happened, Kylie still cared about him. As for himself, he had never cared about anyone’s interests but his own.
At the moment, Laurence had no money, but he still had connections, and his credit was good. Then, when the stocks turned a profit, he figured, he could pay his debts with interest and still have enough to live out the remainder of his life in luxury.
As soon as the tide began to turn in their favor, Ethan asked Kylie to go out for dinner and talk about the stock. He wanted to know what she’d been up to in regards to the stock market. He seemed to be very suspicious of her. “I’m helping you,” he said, “but every time I go to buy a stock, someone swoops in and steals it out from under my feet. Do you know anything about this?”
Of course, Kylie had done what she could to help her family, but she couldn’t tell Ethan that or he’d pitch a fit. He would think that she was taking their side over his, but that was not the truth. She loved Ethan and was loyal to him, but that didn’t mean that she’d turned her back on her family. Furthermore, her family needed this more than Ethan did. Ethan was already wealthy, but her family was nearly bankrupt.
“I don’t know anything about anything,” Kylie sighed. “Can’t we talk about something different…?”
Chapter 274: You Can’t Trust Him
Kylie looked deeply into Ethan’s eyes. She asked him about his relationship with Dora and what they did when they were alone. He gave her a dark look, but she didn’t back down. “I have explained it to you before,” he replied. “I have no desire to revisit the matter.”
Kylie nodded. Indeed, Ethan had told her much, and yet she sensed that he was still holding a lot back. She knew that she couldn’t push him too hard, though. He was defensive now. If she wasn’t careful, he would either shut down or go on the offensive. “At least tell me what you do when you visit her,” she said, “so that I don’t have to be jealous all of the time…”
Ethan smiled, and he said, “We watch movies and chat. Dora helped me a lot once. We have known each other for a long time, and we are the best of friends. In the future, I will tell you when I am going to visit her – and maybe I will ask you to join us so that you won’t be so worried all of the time.”
“If I trust you,” Kylie wondered, “would you trust me?”
Ethan nodded and said that he would.
Kylie smiled, and she said, “Stars has returned, and he is not doing well. I would like to stay with him for three or four days and take care of him.”
Ethan frowned. He could not imagine letting her go for one day, let alone three or four. He didn’t speak, though. He knew that after all that he’d put her through, he needed to be careful about what he said and how he responded. Finally, he said, “I am fine with that, but why don’t we help him together?”
Before Kylie could reply, Ethan’s phone buzzed. He pulled it out of his pocket and read the message. Looking up at Kylie, he said, “It’s Dora. She’s hungry, and she’s asked me to bring her an egg with fried rice.”
Kylie sighed and raised her hand to call a waiter over so that she could order the food for Dora.
“You can put your hand down,” Ethan said. “She prefers the food from The Alley Restaurant.”
Kylie frowned. She didn’t mind that Ethan had his friendship with Dora. Often though, it seemed like her marriage to Ethan took a back seat to his relationship with Dora, which was unacceptable to her. She understood what they’d been through a lot together, but a part of her no longer cared.
Kylie wanted her husband, and she didn’t think that that was unreasonable.
“Go and get food for your friend,” Kylie sighed. “It sounds like she’s hungry, and besides, I still have some work to finish.”
Ethan touched her hand tenderly, and he said, “I’ll pick you up when you’re done.”
“Don’t worry,” Kylie replied. “I’ve got a ride.”
The sense of loss that Kylie felt in her heart as Ethan drove away was unbearable. Once he was out of sight, she meandered over to her own car, unlocked the door, and climbed in. It wasn’t until the door was closed that she began to cry. Day by day, she felt little pieces of her soul, breaking away and dying as they flittered and flew away with the wind.
Once she had her emotions under control, she dried her eyes and began to drive. She had a hard time paying attention to the road, though, and she ran through at least two red lights. Other cars honked at her but, luckily, she didn’t cause any accidents.
Once Kylie was back in the office, Faith brought her a glass of milk tea. She took it, opened the lid and took a good sniff “It smells delicious,” she said as she took her first sip. “You’re so sweet. Thank you.”
Faith’s face turned red, and she said, “Don’t thank me, thank Ken. He’s the one who bought it for you.”
Hearing this, Kylie leaned over and spat the tea that was in her mouth into the garbage.
Faith frowned, and she asked Kylie what her problem was. “Is it too hot?” she wondered.
“It’s not too hot,” Kylie replied. “I just don’t want anything from that lying piece of shit! You weren’t with him today, were you?”
Faith sighed and said, “He is not as bad as you make him out to be. I met him earlier; yes. He gave me some stock market tips, and he even bought you this drink. And I think that he’s in love with you!”
Kylie tossed the tea into the garbage and sat back into her chair. She looked around the room as if she were looking for something. Then, when her eyes returned to Faith’s, she said, “Like you, I once trusted Ken, but I regretted it. He often does good things and wins people’s trust, but he never stops scheming. Whatever he does that is good is always a part of some nefarious plan. You can’t trust him. I can’t order you to stay away from him, but I hope you take my warning very seriously.
“Just recently,” she continued, “he actually tried to ruin my marriage…”
***
By the time Ethan reached Sunshine Garden, Dora was hungrier than she’d been in a very long time. Before she sat down to eat, though, she served him a cup of coffee. “I just made it,” she said. “You will like it. There is a hint of hazelnut.”
Ethan took it as he sat down at the table, across from where he’d placed the food.
Dora sat down, had a bite of the food, and then she looked at Ethan. “I only have one day left,” she said. “Could we talk about our history together? There are still so many gaps in my memory that I feel like a brick of Swiss cheese.
Ethan nodded, took out a cigarette, lit it, and placed it in his mouth. He took a drag and frowned. “I am a little bit afraid,” he admitted. “I haven’t even thought about those times in ages. I have pushed them so far back that, when the images come to me in my sleep, I am able to convince myself that they never actually happened. If I talk about those times, now, I wonder, will they be real again? Will I wear the events on my chest like a scarlet letter? Will Kylie be able to read the events in my eyes when I look at her as if they were words in a book?
“I don’t know,” he admitted. “When I speak my fears out loud, they sound crazy…” He frowned. “I can’t do this, and it isn’t fair of you to ask me to!”
Ethan crushed his cigarette in Dora’s bowl of food and removed himself from the table.
Dora watched him as he paced the living room. Occasionally, he ran his hands through his hair. At this moment, he looked like a madman. She said, “Every time I see you, no matter how excited I am, I have to pretend to be nothing more than a friend of yours. All you think about is Kylie, and you act as if we never had anything special between us…”
Ethan sat down on the couch, but he didn’t say anything.
Dora: “The first time I saw you, we were only nine, but I fell in love with you. I wanted to be close to you. I wanted to protect you, and I wanted to hurt anyone who had already hurt you.”
Dora put her hands over her face, and she began to cry. She sat down in front of him and took comfort from his proximity to her. “Do you remember when I bathed you?” she continued. “I always squatted outside of the bathtub. I was afraid that you would see my abnormality and that it would frighten you.”
Dora’s hand touched the leg of Ethan’s jeans and slowly inched up. It wasn’t until they reached his groin, that Ethan stood up and brushed her off. “If this is the way that you are going to be,” he hissed, “I cannot be with you!”
Chapter 275: You Have My Word
When Dora saw that Ethan was about to leave, she shrieked. “Don’t go,” she cried. “At the very least, can you give me one more day? If you give me that, I will leave you alone forever. You have my word!”
“How can I give you anything more than I already have?” Ethan growled. “I can’t – not after you hurt Kylie right in front of me. What had happened was my fault, but you had no right to take it out on Kylie!”
“It wasn’t your fault,” Dora cried.
“I beg your pardon!” Ethan exclaimed.
“You’re not to blame for what happened,” she explained. “It was me.”
“Explain yourself!” Ethan demanded.
“You excused yourself to go to the bathroom,” she said. “Once you returned, the executioners were going to arrest you. It was I who intervened. I volunteered to climb onto the operating bed. I did that for you because I loved you, but I still felt that you owed me, which was why I went out of my way to make you feel guilty…”
Ethan sat back down. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “Why are you telling me all of this now?” he wondered.
Dora smiled softly, and she said, “I am telling you because I want you to know that I love you and that I’m willing to do anything for you. I know that you are with Kylie, but I am willing to fight for your heart.”
“Don’t bother,” Ethan said. “Our past remains in the past. My future is with Kylie. Life will be easier for you if you accept that and move on.”
Ethan tried to stand up, but his head suddenly felt dizzy. “What’s this?” he wondered as he fell over in his seat and lost consciousness.
Dora got up and walked over to him. She was surprised at how easy this had been. He hadn’t suspected a thing. She smiled and touched his face. It was angular, and there was a little stubble on his chin. She was just about to undress him when her phone rang. It was from Tom.
“Hello,” Dora exclaimed impatiently. “What do you want?”
“I’m downstairs. I’m on my way up,” Tom explained and hung up before she could tell him not to come. She tried to call him back, but he didn’t answer.
Dora hardly had time to dump Ethan’s coffee when the doorbell rang. When Tom saw Ethan, she explained that he’d drunk too much and passed out. Then, with his help, they were able to carry him into Dora’s room and make him comfortable in her bed.
After that, she looked in the direction of her spare bedroom and asked Tom Thomas to go in with her.
There was a camera on the shelf in the corner of the room, and she had arranged everything perfectly. She looked at Tom and said, “We hadn’t planned on doing this today, but I assume you’ve found someone who is appropriate?”
Tom looked at her with an embarrassed look on his face and said, “I know what kind of person you are looking for, but it is hard to find such a man.”
“Bullshit!” Dora exclaimed. “You obviously haven’t tried hard enough!”
Dora’s mind was racing. She stared at Tom for a long time, which made him feel even more embarrassed than before. Seeing how upset she was, Tom was so nervous that his palms began to sweat. He looked her in the eyes and said, “I promised you that I did my best. I may have failed you, but I did my best.”
Dora looked at him, sighed, and said, “Well, if we don’t have the man I requested, you will have to fill in. Take off your clothes, and don’t be shy about it.”
Tom’s face turned red and, with a shocked look on his face, said, “Did you just say what I think you said?”
“You heard me,” she replied. “No dilly-dallying. I don’t want Ethan to wake up!”
Not giving him a chance to process the situation, Dora began to undo the buttons on Tom’s shirt. Once the shirt was open, she took off his belt. Then, before she could forget, she leaned over and pressed the record button on the camera.
Once Tom was naked, she embarrassed him, and they kissed passionately. Then he undressed her, playing with her naughty bits, one by one, as they were exposed. From the camera’s view, Dora could be seen plainly, but the only part of his body showed his back and buttocks.
After a few minutes of foreplay, Tom lifted her and carried her to the bed. Dora laid back, and he climbed on top of her. “I am inexperienced,” he whispered so that the camera wouldn’t hear him. “What do you want me to do?”
Dora smiled. It was the first time that a man had ever asked her what she wanted.
At first, she felt uncomfortable. She had always thought of Tom as a brother and not a lover. Who she really wanted to be with was Ethan. Hopefully, she thought, this will lead to that.
Over time though, as he kissed her and touched her in the right places, her body began to take over, and she was able to imagine that it was Ethan – and, because he only did as she told him to, it also felt a bit like some kind of interactive masturbation.
***
When Kylie woke up the next morning, everything hurt. She’d fallen asleep at her desk in her office. My goodness, she thought, this has never happened before… I wonder why Ethan hasn’t come looking for me…?
“Faith?” She called, but no one answered. She checked the time. It was still early. She checked Faith’s desk and found that all of Faith’s papers were still there. Kylie washed her face in the sink in her office, and she was about to leave when she realized that her safe had been opened. She took a look inside and saw that the only two items inside were a copy of Garcia Entertainment’s equity transfer agreement and a DVD.
Kylie laughed when she saw that the two most important things had been left behind. Nothing of real value had been taken, but she couldn’t imagine how she’d left her safe open.
This was not safe; she laughed.
When Kylie arrived home, she was surprised that Ethan was not there. She tried his cell phone, but he didn’t answer. Kylie scowled. The last time that he’d disappeared, it had turned out that he was at Dora’s house. After their conversation the night before, she sincerely hoped that he wasn’t there because, if he was, she didn’t know if she’d ever been able to trust him again.
