Chapter 391: It Was Pure Surprise
“What should we do now?” Kylie asked.
“He came here not just to see you win the award,” Ethan snorted, then hugged Kylie with one arm walking to the second floor.
The second floor was the VIP area, and the booths were all separated by glasses.
The glass was made of special material. People could see the outside view from the inside, but others at the outside couldn’t see what was happening inside.
Kylie sat down and sent a message to both Faith and Lucas, in case they couldn’t find her.
Just when the messages were sent out, she heard Ethan saying, “There are they.”
Kylie raised her head and saw the assistant director showing up from the stairs on one side. He glanced around with a pair of cold eyes, then walked to a dark corner with a frown.
Within a minute, a woman in a windbreaker walked to his side.
“Go.” Ethan patted Kylie’s shoulder. She nodded and walked out from the booth.
When she walked near the assistant director, she heard the woman’s snapping.
“Idiot! Couldn’t you handle a single thing well?”
“Why is Ethan here too? It’s not part of the plan,” the assistant director said in a low voice.
“Since we’re already here, let’s act in advance,” the woman sneered.
“I don’t think it’s great timing. Could it…” Kylie was standing behind the assistant director when he said halfway through a sentence.
“Hi?” she called him with doubt.
The assistant director’s body stiffened a little, and he turned around at a slow pace. “Kylie? Why are you here?”
Kylie shrugged with a broader smile on her face. “Didn’t you see it just then? Lord Ethan proposed to me in public.”
The assistant director seemed quite displeased and exchanged a glance with the woman standing by his side.
Kylie then looked at the woman. “Lauren? Why are you here too?”
A touch of strong hatred flashed by Lauren’s eyes, and she explained with a smile. “Oh, I’m shooting for an ad in Britain, so I came here to learn something with the help of my friend.”
“Oh.” Kylie nodded. “Did you see me on the stage just then?”
“Yes.” Lauren raised a smile. “Congratulations!”
Kylie seemed proud, even a little arrogant, and said, “It was a pure surprise! Lord Ethan also proposed to me right in front of everyone. I feel I’m the happiest woman in this world now!”

Seeing she succeeded in annoying Lauren, Kylie invited them. “Since we’re all here today, why don’t we gather together in Lord Ethan’s booth?”
She pulled Lauren’s hand and said with a smile, “Come on, I can share some of my luck with you, and you probably could soon marry the assistant director!”
Lauren wore an ugly smile, following Kylie walking ahead unwillingly.
The assistant director warned Lauren not to do that with his eyes, but Lauren insisted on meeting Lord Ethan.
In the booth, Ethan sat on the big sofa with his two slender legs overlapped, and his elbows leaned on the armrests.
Hearing the footsteps, Ethan looked over. “You’ve been away for the ladies’ room so long…” All of a sudden, Ethan’s face become cold when he noticed Lauren and the assistant director standing at the door.
“Lord Ethan, I just met Lauren here, so I told her to have a seat together!” Kylie pulled Lauren walking to Ethan’s side.
Lauren fixed her eyes at Ethan, and her lips trembled a little. “Lord Ethan…”
Ethan glanced at her, then turned to Kylie. “Since she’s your friend, have a seat.”
The assistant director seemed embarrassed, looking at Ethan. “Lord Ethan, what a big surprise!” Saying it, he glanced at Kylie. “Kylie, it’s your honor that you can be with Lord Ethan, and you must cherish it.”
Kylie sat next to Ethan, holding his arm, leaning against his chest. “I know, and I also know there are countless women who try to steal him away from me!”

Seeing Lauren was about to open the package, the assistant director opened his mouth all of a sudden, “Lauren, when did you learn to smoke?”
Lauren pulled her lips and lit a cigarette at once.
She dragged on it before she said with a wry smile, “No need to act any longer. Lord Ethan already knows who I am.”
There soon was light smoke in the booth. Ethan patted Kylie’s back and told her to left them and went inside the other room.
Kylie stood up, glancing around them, then walked into the other room. She understood Ethan didn’t want her to smell the smoke.
Once she walked inside, Kylie called Faith and Lucas. She told them to guard at the door, in case Dora and her brother would escape again.
“Lord Ethan.” Lauren looked at him with her eyes full of affection for him. “Thank you for your protection, but I can’t accept it.”
“Lauren!” The assistant director tried to stop her in vain. He sighed and turned his body aside, not to look at them.
Ethan squinted with danger. “What identity are you using to talk to me?”
Lauren smiled, then raised a hand to her ear and tore down a human-skin mask before she threw it on the table.
When she raised her head again, she was wearing Dora’s face, but there were bruises left on her forehead after she had fallen down from the stairs.
“Why ran away?” Ethan asked in his cold voice.
“Why?” There was a self-mocking smile on Dora’s lips. “You locked me in such a place and ignored our years of friendship just to protect Kylie Finch!”
The assistant director abruptly stood up, staring at Ethan, saying, “Lord Ethan, my older sister has loved you for so many years. She also has done a lot for you. Don’t you think it’s over after you abandon her right now?”
Chapter 392: You’ve Broken Countless Women’s Heart
“Harry, shut up!” Dora snapped.
“No! You’ve spent your half-life on him. You’ve helped him establish the film company, and now you let him take it over without any complaints once he’s back. Why? Does he feel grateful to you at all? He doesn’t!”
The assistant director was losing control of himself. He turned to look at Ethan, who was sitting on the sofa with a cold face. “What does Kylie Finch has? She doesn’t love you at all! She just wants your money! The person she’s really in love with is Stephen!”

“It’s your obsession that puts them in danger,” Kylie said. “If you hadn’t twisted the truth, and made them protective towards you, they wouldn’t have been hurt like that.”
“Kylie Finch, you’re not qualified to teach me!” Dora yelled in anger. It seemed she couldn’t wait for a second longer to tear Kylie into pieces. “You know nothing about love!”
“I don’t,” Kylie held Ethan’s hand, “but I do know I want him to be happy if I love him.”
“I won’t expose his mental scars again and again; I won’t slander him in front of anyone; I won’t hurt him when he’s abandoned by the whole world just because of my greed,” Kylie said.
Ethan looked at her with tender eyes and hugged her in his arms.
Kylie exchanged a glance with him, then turned to Dora. “I do thank you for your help when Ethan needed it.”
“Thank you for supporting his revenge and handing over the company.”
“Thank you for your long-lasting love for him.”
“However, I hope he won’t give the revenge up, because I don’t want to see him feeling regretful during his rest life just because of a contemporary impulse.”
“You know he’s hard on the outside but soft on the inside. He punished Tom, but he also feels guilty in the heart.”
“He hates you because you’ve hurt me, but he still chose to protect you the moment Michael showed up.” Kylie left Ethan and slowly walked to Dora.

However, no matter how thin Harry was, he was a man, after all, so Dora failed to support him up.
Kylie shouted to the outside of the door, “Lucas!”
“What?” Lucas pushed the door open, walking inside.
“Please send Harry to the hospital right now,” Kylie said.
Seeing the strange man in the assistant director’s clothes, Lucas was reluctant to give a helping hand but still carried Harry up on his back after hesitating.
When Dora was about to leave, Kylie stopped her. “What? What else do you want to teach me?” Dora looked at Kylie.
“Nothing,” Kylie said. “I just hope you can let Lauren and the assistant director go.”

Ethan held her face in his big palms and gave her a French kiss. He didn’t let her go until she couldn’t breathe.
“We’ll be together forever from now on,” Ethan said.
When hearing that Kylie laughed, “You must treat me well. Love me, admire me, spoil me like I’m the queen! You must listen to me and do whatever I order.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.” Ethan pressed her body to him, and his big hand slid in from the bottom of her upper clothing, then accurately caught her nipple.

“Director Keys already sent it to me, and I can use the navigation system,” Faith said.
“Where did you get this car,” Kylie asked Faith.
“Director Keys lent it to us,” Faith answered with a smile. “Lucas and I met him at the door. He was very kind and guided Lucas to his familiar hospital in person, and left his car key to me.”
“Wow, Mr. Keys is really a good man.” Kylie looked at Ethan. “I think he did that for your sake.”
“How did you know him?” Kylie was confused.

“Let me go!” Kylie laughed and pushed him.
When they arrived at the appointed hotel, Mr. Keys was standing there waiting for them.
“I should have arranged a driver for you,” he said.
“Don’t say that. You’ve already done a lot for us,” Ethan said to him.
All of a sudden, Kylie was very curious and asked Ethan, “How many languages do you speak?”
Ethan was silent for a while, then said, “French, Russian, Korean and Spanish.”

Dora gave Ethan a glance before she opened her mouth. “The doctor said he’s still alive, and his wrist is already moved back to its normal position. It could be swollen for a few days.”
“Can you arrange a place for them to recover?” Kylie smiled at Ethan. “Or they can stay in Stephen’s clinic?”
Ethan nodded. “Sure.”
Since Ethan agreed, Kylie said to Dora, “Once Harry wakes up, I’ll make the arrangement to send you home. Don’t worry, I’ll pay the medical fee during his recovery.”
Dora moved her lips, then still asked what she was thinking. “Will you go back with us?”
“We still have something else to deal with, and we probably will be back after a couple of days,” Kylie said with a smile.
Dora looked at Kylie again. It was apparent that she was unwilling to leave him.
Ethan, instead, seemed very cold. “Kylie and I will go on vacation, and we want to spend some time alone.” He didn’t give Dora any chance or hope.
