Chapter 516: It’s Too Dangerous
Kylie trembled a little in fear and drew her sight back at once. “Mom, would you please say that again?”
“Kylie, Stephen locks Adolph up. Tell Ethan to figure out a way now!” Barbara whimpered. “Adolph is his biological father, after all.”
“Mom, relax, tell me everything.” Kylie bit her lips. What she worried about most still happened now.
Seeing Kylie’s expression, Ethan was concerned as well.
“Alright, I understand.” Kylie nodded. “I’ll tell Ethan right now.”
After hanging up the call, Kylie walked to Ethan. “Well, mom just called me…”
“What?” Ethan interrupted her with impatience.
Kylie didn’t dare meet his eyes. “Um, Stephen is going to take the couple Adolph and Agnes to visit his mother’s grave tomorrow, and mom is worried about Adolph’s safety.”
When Kylie said Stephen’s name, she made it faint.
She knew Ethan hated to hear that name, and she was unwilling to displease him again.
Ethan stares at her face. “Who?” he asked on purpose.
“Stephen,” she said again, but it still sounded unclear.
“I can’t hear you clearly.” Ethan wore a cold face.
Kylie felt cornered and summoned up her courage. “Stephen!”
“Oh.” Ethan nodded, then said with a sarcastic smile, “What’s wrong with it? I don’t think it’s dangerous at all.”
Kylie raised her head to look at Ethan. “Agnes has congenital kidney disease, and she persuaded Stephen’s mother to do a kidney transplant to save her life, but an accident happened, and Stephen’s mother died on the surgery bed.”
“Adolph knew how dangerous the surgery was, but he didn’t stop it. What’s worse, he also lied to Stephen afterward. Do you think Stephen will forgive them?”

Ethan walked downstairs at a slow pace. “I’m not going to save Adolph, but a hostage.”
Kylie smiled and went back to the bedroom as fast as she could. She sent Barbara a message and told her that Ethan would go to rescue Adolph.
It was easy to find out the address of the grave of Stephen’s mother, and Ethan received the detailed address a short while later.
At the same time, Barbara showed up at the Finch family’s house.
“Mom, welcome!” Kylie was surprised.
“Well, I always have a bad feeling that something terrible is going to happen.” Barbara frowned with worries. She held Kylie’s hand and looked at Ethan. “Ethan, no matter what happens, do rescue him.”
Ethan played his phone but said nothing.
“Mom, don’t worry. Ethan can handle it well,” Kylie said to comfort Barbara, but Ethan glanced at her once she finished her sentences.

Barbara pulled Ethan’s arm all of a sudden. “Ethan, how’re your injuries? Let me have a look.”
Ethan gently got rid of Barbara’s hand. “I’m fine.”
Kylie quietly pinched Barbara’s arm to stop her, asking again. Ethan wasn’t aware of his bad condition, after all.
If Barbara kept asking about Ethan’s injuries, Ethan might find out the truth, which Kylie thought was severe.
Barbara understood Kylie’s hint, then raised a smile. “Great, great. I’m glad to know you are fine. I still need you to support my rest life.”
Kylie was a little surprised; then, her sight fell on Barbara’s ring finger. There was only an obvious ring mark left on it.
“Mom did you…” Kylie held Barbara’s hand without the ring.
“Oh, I removed it.” Barbara glanced at her ring finger, then wore a wry smile. “I’ve been lying to myself to live a good life during these years.”
“What has happened…” Ethan opened his mouth but stopped halfway.
Given his ability now, he still couldn’t find clear evidence to prove that old Mr. Parker had been involved in that event years ago.
Without strong evidence, they couldn’t blame old Mr. Parker, who treated Barbara well.

Barbara loosened her hand. “Sure.”

“It’s possible.” Ethan looked ahead.
“Oh! Ethan, control yourself; there’s no need to expose your real identity,” Barbara reminded him and closed her mouth in shock; unexpected pain came across her heart.
He nodded and said, “I know, mother,”
“Take care of yourself, Kylie, and your children are waiting for you, son!”
“Yeah, I will because I need to tell her the truth after we seize Stephen,”
His Mom went silent. The car stopped at the gate of the graveyard. Ethan got off and walked to mid-mountain alone.

Ethan pinched the button on his chest and made an order. “Call the ambulance now!”
After that, he faced Stephen. “Let her go. What’s the condition?”
Although Ethan came here to rescue Adolph, he couldn’t stand aside seeing Agnes dying in his sight.
“There is no condition.” Stephen’s eyes were full of hatred. Seeing Ethan feeling confused, he pointed at a plate placed at the front of the tombstone. “She already returned my mother’s organ, and you can leave with her.”
As a doctor, Stephen was very sure that Agnes couldn’t stay alive now.
There was something covered in blood on the plate, and it took Ethan a long time to realize that Stephen had removed Agnes’s kidney when she was still conscious.

Barbara shook her head in floods of tears.
Agnes continued, “Please, d-don’t tell Adolph t-the truth. I-I’m b-begging you. I-I want to l-leave him a g-good impression on me.”
Barbara nodded with great force.
“Adolph…” Agnes’s head sank, and faced Adolph. Adolph moved over on his knees.
“Barbara is y-yours now. Please take-take…”
Before Agnes could finish that, she rounded her eyes and died.
“Agnes!” Barbara cried out loud over Agnes’s dead body.
“You’re a bastard!” Adolph swore at Stephen. “How could you remove Agnes’s kidney when she was still conscious? You’re so evil!”
When Barbara noticed the bloody scalpel in Stephen’s hand, she got angry.
She put Agnes down and walked to Stephen. “How dare you!” She slapped across Stephen’s face. To everyone’s astonishment, Stephen didn’t avoid it at all.
Stephen licked the blood at the corner of his lips, then snorted, “Mrs. Parker, I didn’t avoid it not because you’re Ethan’s mother, but because I have no grudge against you.”
Barbara’s eyes were ablaze with fury. She raised her hand, trying to slap Stephen again.
Unfortunately, Stephen caught her wrist this time. “You’re not qualified to slap me again.”
Ethan moved a step forward to help his mother out, but Barbara shook her hand to stop him.
“No one else is more qualified than me to slap your face in this world!” Barbara said with determination, which shocked everyone.
Stephen threw Barbara’s hand away. “You’re too old to be clear-headed.”
Barbara stumbled ahead, and Ethan supported her at once. “There is a scar at the sole of your foot, right?”
Stephen stiffened. “Did Adolph tell you that?” He couldn’t believe his ears.
Barbara shook her head with a smile. “I just met Adolph, and he didn’t have the time to tell me your secret. I know it because I’m the one who cut your sole with a scalpel!”
“Bullshits!” Stephen was displeased.
Ethan laid his hand on his mother’s shoulder and asked in a low voice, “Mother, what do you mean?”
Barbara glanced at Adolph, then, Ethan. “Ethan, didn’t you always ask me why our family’s genes of twins disappeared at your generation? Let me tell you right now. It doesn’t disappear because you and Stephen are twin brothers!”
Chapter 518: Helping His Son To Escape
“Impossible!” The bloody scalpel fell on the ground with a clear sound, and Stephen moved steps backward in shock.
Adolph was also stunned. “Barbara, you…” He knew Barbara wanted to rescue him, but there was no need to make up such a stupid lie. Let alone Stephen; even himself didn’t believe it.
They didn’t find out Stephen’s mother was raising a kid alone until she had worked as a maid in their family for a long time.

“Don’t touch my mother!” Stephen strode over, but Ethan stopped him.
He sneered and pointed at the tombstone. “I only have one mother, and she’s buried here!”
Barbara helped Adolph get back to his feet and asked with concern, “Are you alright.”
“I’m fine. Barbara is it…” Adolph still couldn’t believe that his adopted son was his biological son. A twin, to be exact.
“Great, I’m glad you’re fine.” Barbara smiled.
She pulled Ethan away and walked to Stephen, step by step. “There is another secret I need to tell you.”
Ethan was worried and followed her up, but Barbara stopped him.
Seeing Barbara stepping towards him, Stephen pulled his lips with disdain.
He was at an obvious disadvantage right now.
Ethan was stronger than him, and he knew his immortality. All the confusion that runs through his head over the past few years had gotten a clear answer. “Is it…” He couldn’t believe what she just said either.
“You know how to do DNA paternity testing better than anyone else.” Barbara stared at Stephen with her eyes full of care and love, making Stephen feel like crying.
The next second, Stephen caught Barbara’s neck.
“Don’t step forward, or I’ll kill her to keep my mother’s company!” Stephen threatened.
Adolph was anxious. “Stephen, she’s your biological mother!”
Stephen pulled his lips with disdain again. “She abandoned me when I was just a baby.”
“Stephen!” Ethan was furious.

“Ethan.” Stephen smiled all of a sudden. “Do you think Kylie will forgive you if you kill your mother and your twin brother?”
“It’s none of your business.” Ethan looked as cold as ice.
If Stephen dared force Kylie to be entangled with him again and again, he would rather kill Stephen right now, even though Kylie would hate him.
Stephen wore a proud smile. “It’s one thing whether she’ll forgive you, and it’s totally another thing that she’ll bear my name in her mind forever.”
Ethan squinted. He understood Stephen said that on purpose to annoy him.
Seeing that Ethan was unwilling to move away, Barbara stood next to Stephen and quietly knocked her elbow against him.
Stephen understood it would be less likely for him to escape if they wasted time arguing with Ethan here safely.
Therefore, he used greater force and shifted into his form. Ethan wasn’t shocked at all as he now knew Stephen was his twin brother.
Stephen pulled his mom to become his hostage, and Barbara was out of breath now.
“Move!” Stephen raised his voice.

Ethan was in a daze while listening to Stephen. Now he realized that the reason why his wolf form become weaker had something to do with Stephen whose body suffered the effect of the magical pill he created.
“Tell snipers and that police that surround them to retreat .”
Ethan had no other choice, and he shifted back into his human form then take back his power to return everyone into the current state, then made an order to retreat.
“Lord Ethan, we can’t have a better chance than now!” Vincent was worried.
Ethan took a long breath before he said, “The hostage overlaps the target. It’s too dangerous.”
Vincent bit his lips, then made a hand gesture.
Stephen didn’t move backward with Barbara until the red spots were gone.
“Don’t follow us, or I’ll kill her!”
Ethan and Adolph had to stand still and watch Stephen leaving with Barbara till he jumped in a car and drove away fast.
Chapter 519: She Had A Bad Feeling
It was already past 10 am when Kylie woke up.
She searched one room after another, then realized Barbara went to catch Stephen along with Ethan.
She had a bad feeling.
If Stephen was hurt, nobody could cure Ethan. Besides, Ethan could be injured again during the arrest.
Right when she was restless, her phone rang.
“Kylie, be prepared. I’ll treat Ethan’s injuries,” Stephen said on the phone.
“Stephen, are you alright?” Kylie asked without further thinking.
“Well, I thought you would ask me whether Ethan is fine,” Stephen joked.
“Today is full of surprises. I bet Ethan will tell you when he’s home later. And you should ask him the secret he’s been hiding from you,”
Shocked by his words, Kylie said, “A secret?”
“Yeah, don’t worry, as I said, I will not let him die,” He hung up the call immediately.
Kylie didn’t know what had happened, but she was happy that Stephen was willing to sure Ethan.
She turned to the doctor, who was responsible for Ethan’s treatment.
The doctor was super excited once he knew Kylie got the help of the Ghost Doctor.
“Can I really work with the Ghost Doctor?” he asked again and again with obvious excitement on his face.
“Um, I’m afraid it’s different from what you think.” Kylie felt a little embarrassed. “We’ll set a monitor on your chest, so the Ghost Doctor can see Ethan’s injuries through it.”

Kylie didn’t walk into the house with Barbara until the taxi driver was gone. “Mom, why do you come home alone? Where is Ethan?”
“Call him now, and tell him I’m safe home.” Barbara looked exhausted, sitting on the sofa.
Kylie called Ethan without delay. Knowing that Barbara was safe, Ethan took a long breath out. “Stay at home with our mother. I’ll be back in a minute.”
“Great.” Kylie suddenly thought of what Stephen had told her on the phone and asked Barbara. “Mom, did you meet Stephen?”
“Yeah,” Barbara sighed. “It’s all my fault.”
In the following minutes, no matter how Kylie asked her, Barbara wouldn’t say another word.
When Ethan showed up, Barbara stood up from the sofa. “Ethan, I’m sorry.”
Ethan shook his hand and told Barbara to be seated.
Kylie was confused, but neither of them explained it. She glanced at Barbara, then, Ethan. “Well, I think I should leave now.”

Nevertheless, Barbara stopped her. “Stay here; we’re a family after all.” Kylie glanced at Ethan, then sat back next to Barbara, seeing he showed no rejection.

“What?” Kylie blurted it out in shock.
It must be the surprise Stephen had mentioned on the phone. “Mother, do you mean Ethan and Stephen are twin brothers?” Kylie couldn’t believe her ears. “Why was he raised in the Cecil family?”
Barbara began to tell the story of that year.
The woman who raised Stephen actually was Barbara’s maid. They were at a similar age and were very close to each other.

“Ethan.” Barbara held Ethan’s hand. “No matter what he has done, he’s your younger brother. Please forgive him for the sake of me.”
Ethan raised his head at a slow pace and met Kylie’s eyes. “He’s entangled with my wife, and do you ask me to forgive him for that as well?”
Chapter 520: It’s Not A Big Deal
Barbara was struck dumb for a second. She glanced at Kylie, then said, “Kylie is always loyal to you. It’s not a big deal.”
Kylie felt embarrassed, then said to Barbara in a quiet voice, “Mom, it doesn’t matter whether Ethan forgives him or not, but Stephen has broken the law, and he should be punished.”
“I don’t care!” Barbara was displeased. “As long as you want to help, Stephen will be fine. And…” In case Barbara said something that hurt Ethan, Kylie pulled Barbara at once. “Mom, Ethan will figure out a way.”
Hearing that, Ethan stared at Kylie. “Do you want me to help him get away with his crime too?”
Kylie was a little scared. She had no intention to help Stephen get away with his crime at all!
She raised a smile and gave a quick glance at Barbara. It meant that she was making Barbara feel better.
Ethan understood it, but he demanded a clear answer to Kylie.
They fell into a stalemate for a long time, and Kylie could only say at the end, “I believe you can handle it well.”
However, this simple sentence annoyed both of the two people she was reluctant to displease.
Barbara rolled her eyes at Kylie, then went upstairs. Ethan snorted and walked out of the living room.
“Hey, don’t leave. Am I wrong?” Kylie sat alone on the sofa and gave a resigned sigh.
Lucy walked over with a glass of warm milk. “Mrs. Parker, don’t be mad. It’s not good for you and the babies.”
“Lucy, what do you think I should say?” Kylie felt aggrieved.
“Mrs. Parker, I think you’re right,” Lucy looked around, then lowered her voice when there was nobody by their side, “but Lord Stephen is old Mrs. Parker’s biological son after all. It’s not necessary to put him in jail.” Kylie had a mouthful of milk.
Stephen had made a terrible mistake. It was hard to say whether he could survive this time.
A while later, Kylie alone had a walk with Pupu in the back yard. Director Wyatt called her at dawn and told her the shooting of Oh, Mother was about to continue.
Kylie was worried that she might not have enough time in the future, so she proposed to finish her parts in the show in advance.
Director Wyatt agreed without asking why.
When it was about the time for the doctor to treat Ethan, Kylie was restless.
Her heart was in her throat the moment the doctor showed up at the door of the study.
She thought Stephen would disguise himself as the doctor’s assistant at least, but he directly disguised himself as the doctor!
Kylie avoided Stephen’s eyes and turned to look at the housekeeper. “Well, I don’t think I should go inside.”
The housekeeper understood Mr. Parker was still mad, so he didn’t insist and guided the doctor walking into the study.
Stephen put the first aid box down, then walked to Ethan’s back after disinfecting his hands. “Mr. Parker, how do you feel today?”
He had the same voice as the doctor, which surprised Kylie, who was eavesdropping at the door.

Ethan straightened his body up. “I feel the same.”
Stephen removed his shirt, and his injuries were bare in the air. “Mr. Parker, did you exercise again? It’s not good for your recovery.”
Looking at Ethan’s bare skin, he can’t figure out why Ethan’s knack healing power didn’t work this time. Stephen took out a bottle of medicine liquid and applied it to Ethan’s injuries.
Ethan stiffened in great pain. A few seconds later, Ethan felt the sharp pain become a burning sensation, and the hand started to rub his back.
Stephen’s sight moved away from the injuries to Ethan’s handsome profile. He couldn’t think of another man who could tolerate such cruel pain except for Ethan.
He did admire him.
If it hadn’t been for Kylie, Stephen thought he and Ethan might have become Damon and Pythias.
Unfortunately, except for Kylie, there were more insolvable problems between him and Ethan now.
They were twin brothers.
Stephen had mixed emotions ever since Barbara told him the truth this afternoon. His enemy became his biological father, while his enemy in love turned out to be his biological older brother. Stephen used to think the Moon mother was unfair and gave all the best to Ethan.
He had taken care of Kylie for a much longer time, but Kylie still fell in love with Ethan at first glance.
He had stayed by Adolph’s side for most of his life, but Adolph still gave his wealth to Ethan once he found out Ethan was his biological son.
Stephen couldn’t be more jealous of Ethan now.
He was just a B-plan!
If Ethan was taken good care of in the Parker family, he could go back to his mother’s side. If not, he had to leave his mother.
Barbara had never thought of him, her second son!
Thinking of that, Stephen rubbed Ethan’s back with greater force.
“Mr. Parker, do you know how serious your injuries are?” Stephen asked.
Ethan raised his head. “Mr. Cecil, you can be straightforward with me.” The second he finished, he turned his arm to catch Stephen, but Stephen easily avoided.
“You’re mentally agile as always. When did you find it out?” Stephen smiled at him, leaning on the wall.
“Are you an idiot? We are of the same race, and I could sense your presence. The moment you walked in, I know it was you no matter how great your disguise” Ethan put his shirt on. “Your eyes don’t lie.”
“Oh?” Stephen took off the human-skin mask on his face and joked, “I thought only Kylie could recognize me.”
Ethan was displeased hearing that. “Don’t call her Kylie.” He reached out his hand to catch Stephen, but Stephen shifted into his real form and stopped Ethan from moving. Lifted the flower pot and threw it to his brother.
Ethan moved aside, and the flowerpot was smashed into pieces on the ground.
The loud sound scared Kylie.
Only Barbara could stop Ethan right now.
Kylie dashed to Barbara’s room and ran inside without knocking on the door. “Mom! Let’s go! Stephen is in the study now!” There was no need for her to tell Barbara more details, and Barbara already realized what was going on now.
Although Ethan was injured, his anger strengthened him. He shifted into his hybrid form as his eyes turn gold and fierce. Stephen understood he wasn’t a match for Ethan, so he irritated him by words on purpose.
Right at this moment, the door of the study was pushed open, and Barbara showed up with a knife on her neck.
“Stop it now, or I’ll kill myself in your sight!”
