Chapter 521: The Truth Revealed
Howl and hisses and groans coming from Ethan and Stephen that currently shifted into their real form, were evidence that they were ready to kill each other. Barbara’s sudden appearance was a miracle to save them from the bloody fight.
However, it was already useless for Ethan right now.
He grabbed Stephen’s arm without hesitation and threw Stephen to his back by his shoulder.
The ashtray and water cups on the coffee table were all swept to the ground, then broken into pieces. Stephen’s body slid from the smooth desktop and rose in the air all of a sudden right when he was about to fall. Barbara was more nervous than ever during these several seconds.
If Stephen hadn’t been able to stand on his feet at the end on the ground, she could have cut her neck in that situation.
“Ethan, are you going to kill your brother?” Their mother yelled at him.
The metallic and gruesome stench of blood and torn flesh from both of them were intolerable. Ethan’s hands clutched on Stephen’s neck loosen as his eyes flew to the door where Barbara and Kylie stood. He was so furious and forgot that they were in the study room. It’s too late to shift back into his human form as Kylie had witnessed everything.
The horrible looks were clear evidence that Kylie couldn’t believe what she saw. His beloved husband was not human.
“Eth— Ethan?! You’re…. You’re a monster?” It’s almost a whisper that slipped from her mouth.
Ethan was forced to shift back and walk towards his wife that stood by the door.
“Honey, I… I can explain everything to you!” His voice was broken while he was approaching her.
“Explain? You want me to believe all your lies?” tears filled her eyes. “We’ve been together for many months, yet you chose to fool me? How could you do this to me?”
When he stood next to her, he tried to hold her hands, but Kylie gradually halted. He regretted that he didn’t tell his secret to his wife earlier.
“Kylie, it wasn’t easy for my son to tell you everything. I know how hard for him to hide his real identity,” Barbara interrupted them while Stephen shifted back to his human form too.
Kylie’s eyes flew towards Barbara, “Yeah, it’s easy to say that, Mom, because you alone lied to me. I don’t know why both of you hid the truth when you knew how much I love him!”
Ethan suddenly pulled her when she’s not aware. “Honey, honey, please, please, give me a chance to explain. I am not a monster at all. It’s not my intention to hide my real identity. Ten years ago, the first time I saw you under a vulnerable condition, I pitied you and promised myself to protect you. That moment, I know your sudden appearance in my life will change everything. You gave me hope at that time when I wasn’t able to figure out how I am going to live like a human,”
“Ethan, you could have told me because I can understand,” tears continue flowing from her.
Ethan lowered down his head and kissed her lips without giving her a chance to talk again. “I love you!” He said beneath her lips.
Stephen cleared her throat to call their attention. Ethan parted their lips, but he still hugged her tightly. They both gasp for air after that kiss.
“Ethan, I can’t breathe! Could you loosen your hug?”
“No! Tell me first that you will let me explain!” He growled.
She rolled her eyes and said, “You need to make sure to convince me later. Stephen, are you okay?”
Stephen adjusted his clothing, then turned to look at Kylie. “Kylie, I’m fine.”
Hearing that, Kylie was relieved.
Stephen was aware that his appearance would annoy Ethan, but he still made loving eye contact with Kylie.
Kylie wouldn’t respond without a doubt.
“Are you alright?” She turns her eyes to Ethan in a hurry. Ethan releases her immediately with a sullen look.
“I’m fine!”
“You…” Kylie gave Stephen a glance to tell him to leave right away so that she could explain it to Ethan.
Nevertheless, Stephen seized this chance and said, “Kylie, don’t worry about me. I’m fine.”
It sounded like Kylie cared about him very much.
Ethan was furious now. He stepped out to catch Stephen again.
Since Stephen dared walk into the Parker family’s house today, he couldn’t leave!
Kylie’s sight fell on Ethan’s back when he moved ahead.
His white shirt was soaked in blood now after fighting against Stephen, which was quite scary.
“Ethan, wait!” Kylie stopped him at once.

In fact, Stephen’s arm was dislocated by Ethan, and he must figure out a way to leave here as soon as possible.
Therefore, he smiled at Kylie. “Kylie, is our agreement still effective?”
Hearing that, Kylie was struck dumb.
She understood Stephen came here today to see Ethan’s injuries with his own eyes.
If he asked her that question all of a sudden now, he must be confident that he could cure Ethan. Therefore, he wanted to hear an affirmative answer from Kylie’s mouth.
He wanted to know whether Kylie was willing to leave with him as they had agreed.
The study fell into dead silence.
Kylie felt Ethan’s raised muscles on his arm. He was more jealous than ever now and could lose his temper at any second.
Barbara didn’t know what agreement Kylie had with Stephen, but she thought Stephen must leave here as soon as possible.
“Kylie, say something.” She urged Kylie.
Kylie glanced at Barbara, then to Ethan. Ethan didn’t turn to look at her but only left her a cold back.
She swallowed hard, then said, “Sure.”
The simple word made Ethan furious in an instant.
Kylie did have an agreement with Stephen!
Ethan threw Kylie’s hand away, and Kylie fell to the sofa under the great force.
No matter how mad he was now, he still wanted to protect her.
However, the sofa in the study wasn’t so soft as that in the living room, and Kylie felt dizzy the moment she was thrown away.
“Kylie!” Stephen was mad. “How could you do that to her?”
He couldn’t wait for a second longer to leave here together with Kylie at this moment.
Ethan glared at him. “She’s Mrs. Parker!”
“Ah…” Kylie covered her stomach with a pained expression.
Ethan turned around at once.
Watching his beloved girl curling up on the sofa, his heart ached. He ached to teach Stephen a lesson but was also worried about Kylie’s body.

Barbara stopped Stephen to let him see Kylie’s hand gesture. Stephen relaxed when he found Kylie was fine.
Barbara pushed him outwards, but he still fixed his eyes on Kylie.
Once Kylie’s plan succeeded, she withdrew her hand and covered Ethan’s big palm in her hands. “Um, I feel much better now with you by my side.”
Ethan’s face changed within a second. He wanted to draw his hand back, but Kylie squeezed it tight.
“Very well, you begin to act right before my face,” he said in annoyance. He thought he had hurt her, and he would never forgive himself if he broke their babies.
To his astonishment, she did that only to give Stephen a chance to leave.
Chapter 522: I Can Cure Him, And I Can Also Kill Him
The door of the study was closed lightly, but the sound was still clear.
Kylie felt like Ethan was a stranger now, and she was scared of this feeling. Ethan didn’t trust nor love her anymore.
They were going to be the most familiar strangers at the end.
“Let me go,” Ethan said. “I won’t stop him from leaving.” If that was what Kylie wanted, he could satisfy her.
After that, he moved backward, and Kylie lost support.
She had to sit up. “Ethan, I…” She didn’t know how to explain it because she just hoped to cure him. If only Stephen in this world could do that, she would do everything to make sure it would happen.
Ethan stood up and walked to the door without giving her a look.
Kylie thought he would leave in anger, but he opened the door wide and said, “Out.”
“Let me help you change the dressing,” Kylie said and raised her smile.
“Out!” Ethan raised his voice with impatience.
Kylie already touched the medicine box. “It won’t occupy you much time.” She bent to take out gauze bandages, but the lid was closed when she was about to take the ointment out.
If she hadn’t withdrawn her hands fast enough, her hands could have been hurt. “Ethan…”
Ethan wouldn’t listen to her and caught her wrist, pulling her to the door.
“The injuries on your back… And you have a lot of explaining to do about your…” Before she could finish, she was shut out of the room.
Kylie stood still outside the door. She wanted to leave, but she couldn’t help worrying about him.
Barbara patted her shoulder at this time. “It’s fine. I’ll talk to him, and you can go have a rest.”
“Mom…” Kylie felt aggrieved and threw herself into Barbara’s arms.
“I understand you did that for Ethan’s good.” Barbara comforted Kylie. “He’s mad now and lost his temper because he was too jealous. Don’t be so upset.”
Kylie wiped her eyes. “Mom, please help him treat the injuries on his back.”

Kylie held her hands, nodded, and then went back to the master bedroom but pressed her ear on the wall to hear the sound from the next room.
Barbara knocked on the door, then directly walked inside. “Ethan, let me have a look at your injuries.”
“Mother, I’m fine,” Ethan said in a deep voice. He was reluctant to show Barbara his injuries. He realized that his nature to cure his wounds has a connection with Stephen. Since his twin brother’s body had deteriorated lately, it affects his inner power, too, as they shared almost the same genes.
“Ethan…” Barbara lowered her voice afterward, and Kylie couldn’t hear their talk.
Right at this moment, Kylie’s phone rang.
“Kylie?” Stephen asked with concern on the phone. “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.” Kylie went back to sit on the bed. “You’ve checked his injuries. Are you confident you can cure him?”
“Kylie, what do you have to do?” Stephen sounded a little disappointed. “Ethan doesn’t trust you at all. Is it worth it?”
Kylie lay down on the bed with tears flew down from the corners of her eyes, but she still said with determination. “No matter how he treats me, I love him forever. Just tell me whether you can cure him or not.”
“Of course, I can. I’ll prepare the medicine right away, but don’t forget our agreement.” Stephen reminded Kylie again.
“Don’t kill yourself for love. If you’re injured, I’ll punish Ethan for it. I can cure him, and I can also kill him!” The call was hung up, but Kylie couldn’t calm down for a long time.

Kylie turned around and saw a tall slim figure walking out from the fog. He walked towards her step by step, then reached out his hand to her at a slow pace.
She tried to figure out who this man was but couldn’t raise her head.
The man waited for a while, then turned to one of the two little cute boys.
The cute little boy stood up with happiness and ran to hug the man.
“Come back!” Kylie yelled.
The man hugged the cute little boy in his arms, and kissed his cheek, then left with him. Seeing a stranger walking away with her kid, Kylie almost cried. “Come back now!”
At this moment, Kylie opened her eyes and woke up from her dream.
She wiped her eyes, then walked into the bathroom.
Luckily, it was just a dream.
The woman in the mirror had very obvious dark circles and didn’t look well either. Kylie finished brushing her teeth and washing her face, but Pupu was still absent.
She searched for it along the way downstairs, and the housekeeper told her Pupu was in a worse condition now.

Chapter 523: May We Have A Private Talk?
Kylie noticed the housekeeper walking inside with a new doctor when she just stepped upstairs.
It wasn’t surprising.
The previous doctor was fired because of Stephen. It seemed the new doctor was on the alert for her and closed his mouth the moment he saw her.
Before he entered the study, he even gave Kylie a strange glance.
Pupu stopped shaking its tail and stared at the new doctor, making a low warning sound.
“Pupu, it’s fine.” Kylie patted Pupu’s head, then walked back to her room.
She walked a few steps ahead, but Pupu didn’t follow her up.
“Pupu?” Kylie called it again, and Pupu followed her up. It turned to glance at the door of the study once in a while.
“It’s fine; it’s Ethan’s new doctor,” Kylie said to herself.
She moved the curtains aside, and it indeed was a bright sunny day. Yesterday’s revelation about Ethan and Stephen’s identity hadn’t sunk into her mind, not until today. She moved her hands and stroked her protruded belly and said, “Would you two tiny babies will inherit your father’s genes? He hasn’t explained to me anything about him because he’s mad at me,” A lot of thoughts ran through her head. The twin inside her belly seems to understand her pain, so it made a sudden synchronized movement. Tears fell from her eyes. She missed Ethan so much, yet her husband ignored her.
She chose to comfort herself, and after an hour, Pupu fell asleep lying by her feet when she memorized her lines with a script in her hands.
After a short while, the script slowly slipped down from Kylie’s hands, then hit Pupu’s head.
Pupu was woken up. It raised its head and found Kylie was in a deep sleep.
It got back to its claws at once and went to bite a blanket from the bed. When it was about to leave it on Kylie’s body, the door of the bedroom was pushed open.
Pupu was struck dumb for a second, and the blanket fell on the ground.
Ethan’s sight fell on the chair, then made a hand gesture to tell Pupu to be quiet.
The bright golden sunshine covered the beautiful girl’s body, and her smooth, shiny skin looked flawless. Her long hair was like a waterfall.
It was a peaceful, pretty scene, but the beautiful girl still looked sad in her dream.
Ethan bent to approach her hair.
He closed his eyes, and took a long breath of her unique lovely scent in, then picked the blanket up and put it on Kylie’s body.
Pupu walked to Ethan’s feet at this moment.
Ethan rubbed its head, then took out a clean set of clothing from the closet before he left the bedroom.
Within five minutes later, Kylie woke up from her dream. She was surprised when she found the blanket on her body, then beamed at Pupu. “Pupu, thanks! How did you make it?”
Pupu enjoyed the warm sunshine in silence.
Kylie checked the time, and she was about to meet Stephen as they had agreed.
“Is the medicine ready?” She called him.
“You couldn’t wait to get it, right?” Stephen smiled. “I just finished it. See you at the same place.”
“No problem.” Kylie changed her clothes and walked out.
The housekeeper guarded at the door of the study and wouldn’t allow anyone to enter it, including Kylie. “Mrs. Parker, are you leaving?”
“Yeah.” Kylie nodded. “I need to deal with something. Please help take care of Pupu.”
“Of course,” the housekeeper said with great respect. “Do you need me to arrange a car for you, Mrs. Parker?”
“It’s fine. I’ll take a taxi.” Kylie left the Finch family’s house and took a taxi heading straight to the commercial street.
She waited at the bus stop as usual, and a black private car stopped in front of her within 10 minutes.
Kylie glanced at the driver. Before he could say something, she opened the car door and sat in without hesitation. “Where is medicine?”
“We don’t need to rush.” Stephen started the car and took Kylie to the same abandoned building.
Kylie checked the surroundings when she got out of the car. Both water and electricity were cut off here without surveillance cameras.
It was impossible for Nate and Vincent to find out what she had done here.
“Give me the medicine,” Kylie said to Stephen again once she made sure here was safe.
Stephen took out two pieces of ointment from his pocket. “Fully apply to the wounds twice a day, and this is an oral medicine for the infection.” Kylie took them over and smelt the ointments.
Although she knew nothing about medicines, they smelt normal. “How long will they be effective?”
“Don’t worry, and I care about that more than you.” Stephen laughed out loud. “The earlier he’s cured, the sooner you can leave him with me.”
Kylie didn’t say anything but put the medicines into her handbag. “Are you still going to make a deal with Tory?”
“This is the final deal before we leave here together,” Stephen said with his eyes full of happiness.
“You won’t hurt my babies, will you?” Kylie was afraid Stephen might harm her children, thinking of the dream she had last night.
Stephen looked at her belly. “I love you, so I’ll love your babies as well.” He wanted to rub her belly, but Kylie avoided his hand.
When Kylie was back in the Finch family’s house, the housekeeper was still standing at the door of the study.
Kylie was anxious. Ethan could be in a worse condition after the violent fight against Stephen. The new doctor had stayed inside for a long time, after all.
Seeing Kylie fixing her eyes on the door of the study, the housekeeper walked ahead to explain it to her. “Mr. Parker is having a nap.”
Kylie nodded, then kept her voice low. “May we have a private talk?”
The housekeeper was struck dumb for a second. He didn’t know what Kylie wanted to do, but he would never betray his master.
He followed Kylie behind along the way to the guest room. Kylie took the medicines out. “These can cure Ethan, and please help me administer them to Ethan. Don’t tell him it’s my idea.”
“Mrs. Parker, I understand you’re worried about Mr. Parker, but…” The housekeeper felt cornered and didn’t take those medicines.
Ethan had criticized him for the replacement yesterday, and he was almost fired because of that.
Ethan left for work today, and he had to lie to Kylie and told her Ethan was having a nap in the study. Ethan and Kylie were in a tense relationship now, and he didn’t dare annoy either of them.
Kylie understood the housekeeper was under great pressure now. He was loyal to Ethan, and it was understandable that he was unwilling to help her.
“Well, I know you’re worried about Ethan’s safety, so am I.” Kylie smiled. “I promise it won’t happen again.” The housekeeper lowered his head in silence.
Before he could say anything again, he saw Kylie walking to him with a glass of water in her hand.
Right when he felt confused, Kylie poured the whole glass of hot water over her own arm.
“Mrs. Parker!” The housekeeper was frightened.
Kylie clenched her teeth and raised a smile. “It’s fine. Apply the ointment to my arm at first. If I’m still alive tomorrow, you can administer it to Ethan.”
Chapter 524: It’s Safe And Effective
“Mrs. Parker!” The housekeeper didn’t have time to mind manners at this moment. He grabbed Kylie’s hand and covered it in running cold water. “You don’t need to do that.”
Kylie raised a smile. “Even if you’re willing to help me, I must try this ointment in personally for Ethan’s safety.”
It was a matter of Ethan’s life, so she must be cautious.
“I’ll help you!” The housekeeper nodded with determination.
The shooting of Oh, Mother, would continue tomorrow, and he was worried that it would affect Kylie’s job before the shooting started. The housekeeper applied the ointment over Kylie’s hand before she went back to her room.
The housekeeper told Lucy to serve Kylie in her room in case Ethan aroused suspicion.
Once the ointment was rubbed into Kylie’s skin, it was itchy and painful, which almost drove her crazy.
She picked the script, walking forwards and backward on the balcony. She hoped the cold wind could cool her hand down. However, she found the burn on her hand got hotter after being exposed to the cold wind.
Lucy walked in with dinner later. “Mrs. Parker, do you feel uncomfortable?” Lucy was confused, seeing Kylie walking around in the room with sweat dropping.
“No, I’m fine.” Kylie smiled. “I just did some exercise, and I’m sweating now.”
“You’ve been pregnant for six months now. It’s not necessary to exercise anymore,” Lucy said and placed dishes on the table. “Well, I think being an actress isn’t an easy job. You have to keep in shape even though you’re pregnant.”
“There is no easy job in this world. And a lot of questions bothered me lately. I wanted to talk to Ethan and ask him the answer to those; however, he’s been in a bad mood recently,” Kylie had no appetite at all now.
Lucy understood what she meant. She even wanted to tell Kylie what she knew about Lord Ethan, but she hesitated to spit it out as she respected him. Once Lucy was gone, she flushed the food down the toilet.
Kylie didn’t hear Ethan’s voice for a whole night, and she’s busy searching over the internet about the nature of Ethan’s race. She dug out several pieces of information and kept it for a while. There was also a significant doubt that ran through her head as to why Ethan suffered internal injuries when she read a particular fact that werewolves can heal themselves. And she wanted to know what secret lies inside the secret room that Ethan has been hiding away from her for the past months. She decided to give Ethan enough time to fix his personal conflict against Stephen. It’s clear evidence that the twins have both loved her, and she knew it wasn’t easy for the three of them since both men hated each other, and no one wanted to give up.
Hours past she thought he was already asleep in the study, but she didn’t know he actually was planning how to catch Stephen.
Stephen also called Tory to finish the deal in advance in order to get Kylie earlier.
The competition between men against each other was climbing to the peak.
The next day, Kylie checked her hand the moment she opened her eyes.
She was surprised to find there was a scab over the burn now!
It was still very itchy where the new flesh grew, and Kylie felt like thousands of ants were crawling over her skin.
“See, can you believe it?” Kylie ran to the housekeeper and showed him her hand.
The housekeeper had witnessed the scary burn on Kylie’s hand yesterday, and it got much better over just one night.
“Wow, Mrs. Parker, where did you get this ointment?” The housekeeper beamed with happiness.
The smile faded a little on Kylie’s face. “Well, it’s not important, but it’s safe and effective.”
The housekeeper nodded and took the ointment from Kylie’s hand, then put it into the medicine box.
“Is Ethan up?” Kylie pointed at the study.
“Mr. Parker is out this early morning.” The housekeeper lowered his head and avoided meeting Kylie’s eyes.
“Oh.” Kylie didn’t think too much. “I need to go back to work in the set today. Do remember to apply it to his wounds twice a day.”
She walked to the door, then turned around. “The skin might be hot like it’s burning after using the ointment, but don’t cool it down with cold water, or it’ll get hotter.”
“Thanks, I’ll bear that in mind.” The housekeeper glanced at Kylie. She must have been through it herself.
Kylie really cared about Ethan very much.
She wrapped a piece of cloth around her hand in case she rubbed the injury with her nails.
After having breakfast, she went to the set.
When Kylie’s car just moved away, Ethan’s car entered the yard.
“Mrs. Parker went to work.” The housekeeper reported it to Ethan.
Ethan strode inside. “Was everything good last night?”
The housekeeper was touched by Kylie’s behavior, so he replied, “Lord Ethan, Mrs. Parker really cares about your condition, and she asked about you many times.”
Ethan slowed down for a short while, then sped up. He looked serious in silence but already melted.
The housekeeper followed him close behind to the door of the study. “Mr. Parker, it’s time to change your dressing.”
Ethan answered in a deep voice, then let the housekeeper in with him.
The housekeeper helped Ethan take off his shirt, and his back was already wet.

“Who prescribed this medicine?” Ethan asked all of a sudden.

Ethan straightened up his back in pain the moment the ointment was on it.
It felt different from all the medicines he had used before.
It was cool for a short while at the beginning, then started to grow hot till the burning pain.
Ethan caught his pants tight with great force. And his eyes dilated, and then he turns into his wolf form.
The burns on Ethan’s back were much more serious than the burn on Kylie’s hand, so it took nearly half an hour for the housekeeper to apply the ointment well. After the whole process, Ethan forces himself to bear the sharp pain.
“Lord Ethan…” When the housekeeper was about to say something, Ethan stopped him.
“Out now,” Ethan said in a low voice.
The housekeeper understood Ethan didn’t want others to see his expression in great pain, so he packed the ointment up without delay. “Lord Ethan, you also need to take this pill for your infection.”
Ethan was a little impatient in anxiety and swallowed the pill to shut the housekeeper’s mouth.
The housekeeper didn’t dare say another word and left the study at once.
The second the door was closed, Ethan abruptly shifted back to his human form.
He took a long breath out and clenched his fists. It was hard to describe the pain on his back now, but he felt utterly uncomfortable. In the end, he punched the wall with great force. “Fuck this severe injury! I suppress my inner power to work its natural healing process. I should figure out why this one occurs!”
The pain caused by the punch slightly relieved the pain on his back.
Kylie didn’t have a good day today, either.
She couldn’t help but scratch her hand a few times during the shooting. Although the director didn’t notice her little movements, she still thought it was nonprofessional and proposed to do more takes.
Kate kept nodding and complemented Kylie. “You’re a very professional actress.”
“Yeah, my mother is the best actress!” Ben also nodded like an adult.
Fannie handed Kylie a glass of water when they had a break. “Are you alright, Kylie? You’re sweating, and the make-up is damaged a little.”
Kylie fanned herself with her hand. “Well, I feel so hot now, and I ache to have some ice cream.”
Chapter 525: I Value You Above Anything Else
Fannie glanced at Kylie’s belly, then beamed. “Forget it! You can’t have ice cream in winter. What if you will have diarrhea after eating ice cream?”
Kylie walked towards Fannie, and sweetly smiled at her to stop her from yelling out her secret.
“Who wants ice cream? My treat!” Kate walked over, holding Ben’s hand.
There was no one else who knew Kylie was pregnant in the show crew, so she explained with a smile. “I was just joking with Fannie. I’m allergic to ice cream.”
“Me too!” Ben got excited. “Mother Kylie, we could be a biological mother and son.”
Kate beamed. “Are you staying in your Mother Kylie’s home these days? Your face is a little rounder.”
Ben covered his face fight at once. “I didn’t gain weight. I’m not staying in Mother Kylie’s home either!” Ben’s cute reaction amused everyone.
Fannie didn’t ask Kylie until they were on the way home. “I saw Faith wandering around the Finch family’s house when I went to pick you up this morning. Did she turn to you for help again?”
Kylie shook her hand. “Not really, I needed her help. Lucas took the 20 thousand dollars I told him to give her as his own, so I gave her that amount of money again.”
“Well, Kylie, you’re so kind, but why do people always have a bad opinion about you.” Fannie wore a resigned look.
Kylie understood she was talking about Ethan’s blood brothers. “It’s fine. They care about Ethan too. What bothers me more are those revelations about Ethan and Stephen’s identity. Honestly, I wanted to ask you a bit of information about them since I heard you’ve been with them for a couple of years,”
Fannie was stunned upon hearing her words. Fannie let out a deep sighed and said, “I am not the right one to answer your doubts, but one thing I can assure you, I am one of them too, but we tried to live like a human. We aim to help not to harm,”
The last part Kylie had heard from Fannie slightly changed her perspective. She threw a sad look outside the car window. “Yeah, I should let Ethan explain everything in detail later on. I was just so anxious about my children’s identity inside my belly. They’re growing too fast, and I dug out pieces of information about your race,”
“Kylie, I trust you whatever you’re doing, but I hope you can protect yourself well. I heard the truth from Nate that Ethan’s biological brother was Stephen. No wonder why they have a similar feature once I saw them both before. I thought it was just a product of my imagination and I trusted Lord Ethan when he introduced him to us, as a new doctor to help our race to retain our human form. Stephen hid his identity from us too, and nobody figures it out after we’ve known him. Lord Ethan’s mom might know all of these, and I think you better ask her,”
Fannie glanced at Kylie. “Feel free to let me know if you need my help.”
Kylie leaned on Fannie’s arm and acted like a 3-year-old girl. “Fannie, you’re the best! Why don’t we make a couple?”
“I’m totally fine with it, but can you?” Fannie laughed, then stopped the car at the front of the Finch family’s house.
Kylie compressed her lips. “I don’t know what to do.”
She hadn’t seen Ethan for seven days.
She only heard it from the housekeeper that Ethan’s wounds were much better now, and his voice was back to normal as well.
Stephen’s medicines weren’t enough now, and she must meet him again.
They met each other at the same place once more. Stephen didn’t give the ointment to Kylie but stared at her with confusion.
“Why are you looking at me? Where is medicine?” Kylie avoided his eyes.
Stephen snorted, “The ointment is enough for ten days. Why is it consumed so fast?”
Kylie panicked a little. “What do you mean? I won’t sell your ointment for money.”
After that, she subconsciously crossed her arms on her chest and did her best not to scratch the itchy wound on her hand.
“I bet Ethan’s wounds must be much better now.” Stephen wore a satisfied smile. “That means you can be back to my side a day earlier.”
Kylie turned aside not to look at Stephen’s eyes. “You know I’m a celebrity. Although I can’t work in the entertainment industry anymore after being with you, I still hope I can finish my current job well.”
“What does it mean?” Stephen laid his hand on Kylie’s shoulder all of a sudden, which scared her.
Kylie was nervous but forced herself to stay calm. “Didn’t you say you still need to finish the deal with Tory? I’ll leave with you after it’s done. What if you’re caught?” Stephen used force and turned Kylie to face himself.
When he looked at Kylie, he was as gentle as always. “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it well, and I’ll finish the deal with Tory in advance. Once it’s done, we’ll leave here together.”
“Advance the deal?” Kylie had doubts. It was an important clue. Should she tell Ethan?
However, Stephen knew her too well, and he already figured out her thoughts from her expression. “If you plan to tell Ethan, you must consider whether he’ll believe it or not at first.”
“I’m not dumb!” Kylie argued. “If I tell him, he’ll know I’ve met you behind his back.”
“Great.” Stephen smiled, then took out an ointment from his pocket.
Kylie reached out her hand, and Stephen didn’t notice the cloth wrapped around it until now. He caught her wrist and looked displeased.
“Let me go!” Kylie was anxious.
Stephen, instead, ignored her and rolled her sleeve up.
Her hand was wrapped in the piece of cloth, so it was useless even though she scratched it when it was itchy.
Kylie tried to get rid of Stephen’s hands, but Stephen was much stronger than her. He glanced at Kylie, then unwrapped the cloth without delay.
“What are you doing? Let me go!” Kylie got nervous and stepped on Stephen’s foot with great force. She used a lot of strength, but Stephen stood still.
He dumped the cloth to the ground and questioned her in a cold tone, “What is this?”
Kylie stammered, “It’s nothing. I-I burned my hand with hot water by accident.”
“Are you suspicious of me?” Stephen caught Kylie’s wrist harder.
Kylie felt the pain but refused to give in. “Yes, because you’re not trustworthy!”
“I’m not trustworthy?” Stephen got mad. “I’ve taken care of you for over a dozen years. I supported you when you were in the university till you found your first job!”
“If I’m not trustworthy, I would have killed Ethan when I found out he’s Adolph’s biological son!”
Hearing that, Kylie was struck dumb.
Stephen pulled Kylie walking to the car in great anger. “Does Ethan matter so much to you? You’re willing to test the medicine on your own body for him?”
Kylie was squeezed into the car, but she pressed her hands against the car door to stop Stephen from closing it.
“Yes!” She answered in a loud voice. “No one is more important than Ethan in my eyes! As long as he can be safe and fine, I’m willing to do anything for him.”
Stephen looked down at Kylie’s face. He gently rubbed Kylie’s cheek. “Kylie, your life is full of pain when you’re with him. Trust me, the right thing you should do is to be with me.”
“I value you above anything else. Your benefits are my first priority. Even if you want a star in the sky, I’ll do my best to pick it for you!”
Kylie turned her head to avoid Stephen’s hand. She stared at him with determination. “I only want Ethan to be safe and healthy. Can you do that?”
Stephen felt sad but put on a strange smile all of a sudden the next second. “I could if you made that request before, but the thing is different now.”
He lifted Kylie’s injured hand above her head. “You’re injured because of him, and I’ll pay him back!”
