Chapter 531: Super Embarrassing
Kylie glanced at them with confusion.
Is Ethan bargaining with a drug-dealer?
Vincent was as confused as her. He asked Ethan in a low voice, “Lord Ethan, Tory is a drug-dealer. We can’t set him free.”
Ethan smiled. “No, he’s a friend.”
“A friend?” Vincent was shocked.
Ethan ordered them to withdraw their guns, and Tory’s people also stood aside to let them pass.
Kylie couldn’t believe that Tory was willing to let them go like that. Ethan also gave up catching them.
“Do you have another plan?” Kylie asked Ethan in a quiet voice.
Ethan stared at her. “My next plan is to teach a lesson when we’re home. And I owe you an explanation too,”
Kylie drew her hand out of his palm, but Ethan caught it again.
“What are you doing? Couldn’t you see that Tory’s yacht is about to leave!” Kylie got anxious.
“Lord Ethan, if Tory’s yacht enters the international waters, we can’t catch him anymore!” Vincent said.
Ethan didn’t open his mouth until they were all onshore. “Tory works for the FBI.”
“FBI?” Both Kylie and Vincent were astonished.
Ethan nodded. “I’ve worked with an agent whose code name is ‘Old Friend’ when I was fulfilling a task before. Although he has never shown his real face, Tory behaves like him.”
“How can you be sure that he’s ‘Old Friend’?” Kylie asked. “What if he says that to everyone?”
“Do you still remember the virus put onto your phone last time?” Ethan asked Kylie.
Hearing that, Kylie remembered the line of words which showed on the screen of her phone last time.
It has been a while, my old friend!
“Exactly because he works for the FBI, so we couldn’t find any useful information about him!” Vincent finally figured it out.
The FBI often performed special tasks, so the information of senior members was highly confidential.
Ethan nodded. “Send frogmen to find Stephen’s body now.”
“Yes, sir!” Vincent said.
The sea wind blew stronger, and Ethan covered Kylie with his coat. “You can go home before me.”
“No, I want to see Stephen’s body with my own eyes,” Kylie said but made a loud sneeze the next second.
Ethan was displeased at once. “Even if you don’t care about your condition, you should take good care of our babies in your belly. I promise I’ll tell you once I get any news.” Kylie rubbed her nose and nodded.
She should also take care of Dinah.
Dinah was still unconscious in great sorrow. Her body was also weak now, so she should leave here as soon as possible too.
Vincent arranged for someone to drive Dinah to the Central Hospital before he left, and Kylie called Fannie to tell her to come to the hospital. To her surprise, Dinah was gone when she came back to the ward with Fannie.
“She was unconscious just then. Why is she absent now?” Kylie was shocked, seeing the empty bed.
“Did she leave to search for Stephen’s body?” Fannie guessed.
Kylie called Ethan at once and told him Dinah was missing.
Frogmen kept working till daybreak but still failed to find Stephen’s body.
Vincent handed Ethan a cigarette, but Ethan shook his hand to reject it.
“Lord Ethan, I think we can’t find it,” Vincent said. “The wind and waves are so violent. His body could be gone for a long time.”
Ethan wore an expressionless face. “Tell the frogmen to have a rest for a while. Arrange a helicopter to search for his body around the nearby sea. We must find Stephen’s dead body.”
In fact, he didn’t believe Stephen was already dead because he knew him too well. He is an immortal and his twin brother, that alone was enough reason for Stephen to be alive.
Stephen’s ability to survive was unbelievable, and he could rescue himself no matter how dangerous the situation was.
Ethan even hoped he could survive again this time.

As time went by, they lost hope as they knew it would be possible to continue looking for his body.
After the golden 24 hours, Ethan had to give it up.
Because the FBI was involved in this case, most of the files were transferred to it. To close the case, Seattle could only claim that the Clown had committed suicide feeling guilty.
When Ethan was back in the Finch family’s house, both Kylie and Barbara were crying in the living room.
“Ethan!” Barbara walked to him in a hurry once he showed up, with tears in her eyes. “Tell me the truth. Is Stephen really dead or not?”
Ethan glanced at Kylie. “Nope.”
“Why the news said…” Barbara stopped crying.
“Oh, just a perfunctory explanation to the leader and media.” Ethan stepped towards Kylie and kissed her forehead.
Kylie remained silent because she understood Ethan said that to comfort Barbara.
Barbara felt guilty facing Stephen. Her second son had never lived a happy day with his mother by his side.
If Stephen had stayed by her side, she would have taken good care of him. In that case, he wouldn’t have committed the crime.
Barbara felt better hearing Ethan’s answer. “See? I know Stephen wouldn’t die. Ethan wouldn’t kill him, but hide him somewhere,” she said to Kylie.
Kylie nodded but said nothing.
Adolph stood up from the sofa at this moment. He felt nervous facing Ethan. Barbara glared at him. “Say it. Tell Ethan what you just told me.”
Adolph summoned up his courage. “Ethan, I know it’s hard for you to accept me as your father, but I can wait. No matter whether it takes a dozen or dozens of years, I can wait. Please, please don’t forbid me to see your mother. I-I…” Adolph flushed. “I want to be together with your mother!”

Barbara smiled. “Our son agrees!”
“Oh!” Adolph beamed and hugged Barbara in happiness.

When he was beaming, Ethan stopped at the master bedroom door and looked down at him. “Tell old Mr. Parker yourself.”
The broad smile disappeared from Adolph’s face in an instant, and he put on a serious expression. “I promise I’ll handle it well.”
Ethan didn’t say anything further, then walked into the bedroom, holding Kylie’s hand.
Kylie didn’t ask him until the door was closed. “Did you find the body?” Ethan remained silent for a short while, then said, “Yeah, but fish ate most of it. I don’t think the mother can accept that.” Hearing that, Kylie burst into tears.
She just hoped he could stop committing the crime but was astonished to see him die like that because of her.
Ethan carried her up in his arms, then gently put her down on the bed. He used a warm wet towel to cover Kylie’s eyes. “Don’t be so sad. He deserved it,” Ethan said to comfort her.
Kylie understood Ethan might hate Stephen if she felt sad for him. In order not to worry, Ethan, Kylie raised a smile. “I just think he shouldn’t have died like that.”
Ethan cleaned her face, then put the towel aside. He pressed his head on her belly. “Babies, you’re finally back.”
He sounded happy after getting back what he had lost.
Kylie smoothed his hair. Their life was back to peace at the end, and she should nourish their love towards each other now. “You owe an explanation about your real identity. I hope no more secret this as we stay together as husband and wife,”
For a few minutes, the room fell into a deep silence then Ethan began to talk. “When I was young, I never got the idea that I am not a human. Changes occurred when I was five years old. The two-man whose ages added up to above 100, argued against each other like two little boys.
Barbara, instead, closed her eyes sitting aside and enjoyed Taylor’s message.
Chapter 533: Ignore Him
When they were about to fight against one another, the housekeeper walked inside in a hurry. “Old Mr. Parker, Lord Matthew is home!”
Hearing that, Taylor stopped for a second and exchanged a glance with Barbara.
Matthew had been absent for a whole month, and they all thought he must be dead outside because he didn’t have money to buy the drug. Why did he suddenly came back?
“Mom, he comes back for money without a doubt. I’ll chase him away!” Taylor said and walked out of Barbara’s back.
However, before she could do that, Matthew already stepped inside.
Taylor was struck dumb when Matthew appeared in her sight because he looked totally different now.
He had been as skinny as a skeleton before, but now he had a ruddy face and was full of energy!
The second he saw Taylor, he gave her a big hug with a happy smile, and Taylor almost cried.
“Where have you been?” Taylor whimpered. “Go greet father and mother now.”
Matthew normally refused to be respectful of Barbara, but he greeted Barbara first today.
He didn’t find his father was arguing against a middle-aged man who was much taller than him until he turned to face his father. “Father, may I know who this is?”
“He’s Ethan’s biological father,” Barbara explained.
Matthew beamed at once, then asked old Mr. Parker, “Father, what’s going on here?”
Old Mr. Parker was still annoyed. “He forces me to divorce your mother!”
“Barbara is always mine!” Adolph argued.
Matthew remained silent for a while, then said to his father, “Father, I don’t think it’s a good idea if you separate them apart on purpose. Why don’t you…”
Before he could finish, old Mr. Parker hit him with a coffee cup. “Bullshit! Who do you side with?”
Matthew didn’t mind it at all and continued, “Father, Ethan has saved my life. Please do him a favor for the sake of me.”
Everyone in the room was confused. Matthew then told them how he had been able to come off drugs.
No one believed he could do that, but Ethan insisted on trying and helping him.
During the detox, Ethan also arranged a series of healthy nutrition recipes and fitness exercises for him.
He hated Ethan to death back then and even had promised to pay Ethan back if he could survive.
However, as he recovered day by day, he began to understand Ethan’s kindness. “Father, please, you can still be friends with Barbara afterward. Barbara is determined to leave, and it’s impossible that you can stop her,” Matthew said.
In fact, Old Mr. Parker was also aware of it.

Kylie withdrew her sight from the window. “Um, sweet-and-sour ribs, please.”
Fannie rubbed Kylie’s belly and said with envy, “I wish I could stay in good shape like you when I’m pregnant in the future. You don’t look bulky at all, but you’ve carried twins for almost seven months till now!”
Kylie smiled. “I eat a lot but don’t gain much weight. I think my babies are the same as me.”
“Don’t be so envious of Kylie.” Nate reached out his hand and rubbed Fannie’s butt. “Your ass is already bigger than Kylie’s now.”
“Leave me alone!” Fannie kicked Nate’s chair away.
Nate pretended to be hurt. “I just got rid of the cast. Do you want to break my leg again?”
Ethan handed the menu back to the waiter, then pulled Kylie’s chair near to his side. “Ignore him. His brain probably is also damaged.”
Fannie laughed. “Right! He might have water in his brain, so it doesn’t work well.”
“Come on, you should be the one whose head is full of water because you love crying,” Nate argued.
“I’m not!” Fannie glared at him.
“Don’t you remember that you always cry and beg me to be gentle in bed?” Nate raised his jaw with pride.
“Shut your mouth!” Fannie stood up and hit Nate with her fist. “How dare you say that right before Kylie and Ethan?”
Nate protected his head with hands. “You don’t need to be shy. We’re all adults here.”
Kylie laughed and leaned on Ethan’s body. Ethan laid his hand on her belly and said, “Mind your language. There are underage kids in this room.”
“Oh, right.” Nate moved near and said to Kylie’s belly, “Sorry, babies, it’s your Uncle Nate’s fault.”
“Get back!” Fannie grabbed Nate’s ear and pulled him back to his seat.
After that, she looked at Kylie and Ethan. “Have you found Dinah yet?”
Kylie shook her head. Ethan had sent out many people to find Dinah in vain. Unless she hid away herself, or they would have found some clues.
Dishes were placed on the table one by one, and Kylie stood up at this moment. “Excuse me, I need to use the washroom.”
“I’ll go with you,” Fannie said, standing up as well.
“Why do women go to the washroom together?” Nate couldn’t understand it. “Do they have to do that to show they’re good friends?”
Only two of them were left in the private room now.

“No problem.” Nate smiled. “Ethan, shouldn’t you hold a wedding for Kylie? It’s an announcement to the world that she’s your woman.”
There was a faint smile on Ethan’s lips. “Kylie plans to do that after giving birth to our babies. I have the same idea. It’s not easy to prepare for a wedding well.”
“You really love her deeply.” Nate beamed.

When Fannie walked out of the ladies’ room, she found Kylie gazing out of the window again. “What are you looking at? It’s completely dark outside.”
“The moon is very round tonight.” Kylie smiled.
“Yeah, it’s a sunny day today, and there are many stars in the sky,” Fannie said, then realized something was wrong. She held Kylie’s hand and asked in a low voice, “Kylie, are you thinking of Stephen?”
Kylie sighed. “I always have a feeling that he’s still alive.”
“It’s impossible!” Fannie smiled. “Ethan saw his body, and he must be dead now.”
“Kylie, I understand you feel grateful that he has protected you from being shot with his own body. You can’t forget him because you feel guilty, but you should know that even Nate would have done the same thing if he had been by your side.”
“They have received special training and will do the same thing to protect the hostage at the key moment.”
Kylie raised her head to look at Fannie’s eyes. “I hope Stephen is still alive for Dinah. She must hate me very much, so she left the hospital. The man she loves most was killed because of me.”

Kylie smiled but kept a distance away from him. The man thought for a while, then asked, “Stephen? Who? Is he your boyfriend?”
“No, just a common friend,” Kylie said.
“Well, since we meet each other today, why don’t we make friends?” the man said and reached out his hand to pull Kylie.
Fannie dashed to protect Kylie without hesitation. “Show some respect, please.”
The man lifted his glasses and snorted with disdain, “Respect? She’s just a woman who sells her beauty for money. Who do you think you are?”
With a clear sound, a glass bucket fell and broke into pieces on the ground. The man’s hand stopped in the air.
Everyone’s sight fell on the waiter.
Probably because the waiter was too excited when he met a famous actress or the man’s attitude had scared him, he failed to hold the tray steadily, and the glass bucket with ice cubes inside fell to the ground with ice cubes scattered around.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” The waiter squatted to clean them up at once.
“You’re useless!” The man was distracted and snapped at the waiter.
He raised his leg to kick the waiter, but unfortunately stepped on ice cubes and heavily slipped down on the floor.
When he tried to use his hand to support his body, he pressed on broken pieces of glass with accuracy.
It all happened within three seconds, and the man who had been so arrogant just then now screamed in great pain.
His friends in a nearby private room ran outside the second they heard his scream. “What happened?”
The man covered his wrist, which was bleeding, and shouted, “Send me to the hospital, now! F*ck!”
His friends helped him get back to his feet without delay, but the man wouldn’t stop swearing.
When he wanted to vent his anger on the waiter by kicking the waiter again, he screamed all of a sudden once more, “My leg! My leg!”
Kylie and Fannie witnessed a lot of blood coming out from the man’s calf, and his friends supported his body, walking out in a hurry.
The waiter didn’t get his mind back until they were gone. “I-It’s not my fault.”
“Of course, it isn’t.” Fannie walked over and pulled the waiter up. “If he dares complain about you, call me, and I’ll explain it to your boss.”
“Thank you, thank you so much!” The waiter thanked Fannie, then gave a secret glance at Kylie.
Fannie noticed his little movement and smiled. “Have you watched any shows Kylie is cast in?”
“Sure.” The waiter flushed. “I’ve watched Dangerous World 10 times, and her posters are everywhere in my home!”
Knowing that he was her fan, Kylie walked to him with a smile. “Do you want my signature?”
“Can I?” The waiter was surprised.
Kylie nodded, and he took off his working uniform at once, and there was a white T-shirt inside. He faced Kylie with his back. “Would you please sign it on my back?”
Fannie handed Kylie a pen, and Kylie signed her name on the waiter’s back with enthusiasm.
The waiter was excited and glanced at Kylie’s belly. She hadn’t attended any public activities these days, so the media wasn’t aware that she was pregnant. It was still a secret from the public.
Fannie blocked his sight at once. “You should know what you couldn’t tell others, right?”
“Yes.” The waiter nodded and thanked Kylie again. “Thank you so much. I wish you all the best!” Afterward, he strode away with the tray.
“We should go back now. They must be waiting for us,” Fannie said to Kylie and pulled her walking to their private room.
Kylie moved a few steps forward, then glanced at her back.
She had a strong feeling that Stephen was still by her side, especially when the rude man wanted to assault her just then sexually. However, the feeling disappeared once everyone was gone.
Was it an illusion?
“Kylie, what’s wrong?” Fannie asked her.
“Nothing,” Kylie said, then walked away with Fannie.
When the passage became quiet again, a figure slowly showed at its end. There was a gentle smile on a pair of beautiful eyes.
Like what Fannie just had said, Nate complained once they got back. “If you don’t come back any longer, we have to search for you in the washroom!”
“We just used the ladies’ room!” Fannie rolled her eyes at him, then said to Ethan, “We ran into a terrible man on our way back. He wants to assault Kylie sexually but is quite unlucky today.”
Hearing that, Ethan was annoyed. He asked Kylie with concern, “Are you alright?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Kylie said.
Fannie, instead, clenched her teeth. “He deserves to be injured, but I wonder how did he manage to cut his wrist by falling down on the ground?”
“No idea.” Kylie shook her head. “I think he must have cut the aorta given the amount of blood he lost.”
Nate interrupted them at this moment all of a sudden. “If I had met him, I would have killed him!” Fannie lightly kicked his leg. “Look at you. Who knows which one could win!”
Kylie laughed, looking at them.
When they left the restaurant, Ethan walked Kylie to get in his car but found he left his phone on the dining table. He turned to pick his phone up and told the restaurant manager to show him the surveillance video of the passage.
The manager looked confused, pointing at the waiter on the screen. “He doesn’t work here.”

Kylie opened her eyes, feeling sleepy when she heard the sound of opening a car door. “Did you get your phone?”
“Yeah.” Ethan raised the temperature in the car and covered Kylie in a blanket. “Have some sleep if you’re sleepy.”
Kylie turned herself to a comfortable position and pinched her face. “I sleep or eat all day long. Look at me, I’m fat now.”
“You’re pregnant, and you should rest more.” Ethan fastened the safety belt for Kylie and gently rubbed her belly. “Will you attend the activity held by your fundraiser to collect money in a few days?”
“Of course, I will.” Kylie leaned on Ethan’s arm. “William has agreed to help me gain more attention. The more people involved in it, the more influential the fund will be.”
“I’ll go with you.” Ethan tucked an unruly lock of hair behind her ear, then started the car.
“You don’t need to do that. I know you’re very busy dealing with your business yourself.” Kylie looked at Ethan in the blanket. “The Empire Hotel is also yours now, but you still need to run the Century Group well and keep a close eye on the Peak Pictures. You’re not a superman.”
“Do you care about me?” Ethan glanced at her, then focused on the road ahead.

Chapter 535: It Give It Up
Many things were going to be sold at the charity auction.
Some noble ladies would put their luxurious handbags or jewelry up for auction. Kylie, however, was unwilling to sell what Ethan had sent her.
Therefore, she decided to create a drawing on her own.
Unfortunately, she didn’t have the basic skills of painting, so she had to copy a masterpiece.
She planned to draw splendid sunflowers, but they gradually became rape flowers, then turned to be a mess of bright colors.
“Fine.” Kylie was annoyed and put the pen down. “I give it up.”
Ethan fastened the buttons of his shirt, walking towards Kylie. He hugged her waist from the back and said with a smile, “I don’t know my wife is a fauvism painter.”
“I can’t put this up for the auction.” Kylie turned to help Ethan fasten his tie.
Ethan bent for Kylie’s convenience.
“Help me, baby.” Kylie acted like a 3-year-old girl.
“What do you want to draw?” Ethan supported Kylie’s waist to help her relax.
“Whatever, it’s up to you now.” Kylie handed the pen to Ethan.
The oil brush turned two circles in Ethan’s agile fingers. “How about abstraction?” He observed the drawing for a while before he began to paint. When he focused on painting, he looked like a young, energetic artist.
Kylie stood right by his side. In the beginning, she didn’t see what Ethan was going to paint because he used a lot of dark colors.
It didn’t seem to be abstraction art, and Kylie even felt a little depressed.
She thought to herself that Ethan might remember some of his unhappy memories.
To Kylie’s astonishment, the drawing looked utterly different an hour later under Ethan’s help.
The rapeseed fields became a beautiful beach, and layers of mountains were large clouds now with faint moonlight falling from the gaps, which illuminated several shells and a line of footprints on the beach.
“Do you like it?” he said in a deep voice.
Tears welled up in Kylie’s eyes. This drawing was the picture of the night when Stephen was caught.
She couldn’t tell whether she liked it or not, but her heart ached for Ethan.
She blamed herself for Stephen’s death and couldn’t sleep well because of it.
Ethan felt for her and had said nothing to tell her to forget Stephen.
He must be in greater pain than her.
If Stephen were still alive, he could still compete against Stephen to get her.
However, Stephen was dead now, and he could never compete against a dead man, nor wipe Stephen’s name from Kylie’s mind.
“I like you.” Kylie threw herself into Ethan’s arms. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have ignored your feelings.”
Ethan patted her back to comfort her. “You’re willing to stay by my side. It proves everything. The more you want to forget a person, the better you remember him. Kylie, whatever will be, will be. Take it easy, alright?”
“Sure.” Kylie raised a smile and stood on her tiptoes, trying to kiss Ethan. Ethan pressed her waist to stop her from using great force and bent to let her kiss him in a comfortable position.
When their lips touched each other, Kylie closed her eyes to enjoy the familiar sweet smell.
After a long while, she let him go and snorted with laughter. “Oops, I stained your shirt. Put on a new one.”
“Your face is also stained.” Ethan beamed and carried Kylie up in his arms.
Her hands were covered in oil paint, and she just wiped her eyes.
In the bathroom, Ethan gently cleaned Kylie’s face, then walked to the walk-in closet holding her hand. “Help me choose clothes.”
“Will you wear whatever I choose?” Kylie wore a broad smile.
“Sure.” Ethan nodded.
Therefore, the moment Ethan showed up in the office building of Century Group later, it caused a great sensation. Within three minutes, everyone in the company was aware of his unusual outfit today.
Ethan, who was always in a black suit and white shirt, suddenly put on an orange shirt with a bright blue suit outside. There was also a scarf of bright color on his neck!
The cold man became funny in an instant. Many girls were amused when they saw Ethan’s handsome cold face, accompanied by a set of colorful clothing.
