Chapter 541: Don’t You Dare Do That
“Kylie!” Ethan caught Kylie’s hand. “I’m sorry.”
Hearing Ethan’s voice, Kylie opened her eyes. “It’s a little painful.” She tried to smile but failed.
Ethan squeezed her hand and turned to the doctor. “Can we have a cesarean?”
“I’m afraid we can’t. The babies are already very down,” the doctor said in a calm voice.
Seeing Ethan was here, several nurses left because there was no need for so many people to stay inside the delivery room.
Only the doctor and two assistants were left.
Another round of uterine contraction attacked Kylie again, and she subconsciously squeezed Ethan’s hand.
Her hand was trembling in pain.
Ethan didn’t have the heart to witness his beloved woman being tortured by their babies. He wiped the sweat off her forehead and said, “If they don’t come out soon, I’ll beat them once they’re out!”
Kylie was amused. “Don’t you dare do that!”
“If they come out soon, I won’t do that!” Ethan said.
At this moment, his phone rang all of a sudden. He didn’t bother to glance at it and cut it off without delay, but it rang again.
Kylie fought for breath and said, “See who’s the caller. It might be something important.”
“Nothing is more important than you right now.” Ethan kissed Kylie’s forehead.
“It’s annoying if it keeps ringing.” Kylie had to make an excuse.
When Ethan saw who the caller was, his eyes were cold. “What?”
“Mr. Parker, I think Pupu is dying,” the housekeeper said in anxiety.
“Alright,” Ethan said and hung up, then turned his phone off.
“Who is it?” Kylie asked.
“Not important.” He lied and didn’t dare to tell Kylie that Pupu was dying because he doesn’t want to make her worried. Ethan placed his hand on Kylie’s belly. “Get out now, babies!”
Kylie felt like laughing but moaned in pain. “Ah!” She could barely lie still on the bed.
“Come on, keep trying. They’re about to come out!” The doctor sounded excited at short notice.
Ethan turned to stare at him.
Even Kylie, who was still in the torture of the agony, was distracted.
The doctor’s voice wasn’t disguised at all, and he turned out to be Stephen!
Ethan abruptly stood up, trying to catch the doctor, but Kylie stopped him by squeezing his hand.
It seemed the doctor didn’t expect he would expose himself because of the excitement either. His eyes became cold when his sight moved away from Kylie to Ethan.
“If you don’t care about Kylie’s safety, you can kill me right now,” Stephen said and kept on working.
“Do you think there is only a doctor in this hospital?” Ethan sounded aggressive.
It was Stephen who caused the early delivery for Kylie.
Ethan ached to tear Stephen to pieces.
“Try it as you like.” Stephen focused on Kylie. “Come on, they’re about to come out.”
Kylie clenched her teeth, and she was out of breath now.
At the same time, she felt confused. Stephen was worried about her because her eyes wouldn’t lie. Why did he escape at the theater just then and put her in danger?
An idea dawned on Kylie. The person could be wearing a human-skin mask!
Thinking of that, Kylie felt unusually relaxed after a sharp pain.
The next second, they heard a baby crying in the delivery room. Stephen carried the baby covered in blood with his own arms. “Congratulations, it’s a boy.”
Ethan couldn’t stand it anymore when his baby saw Stephen, instead of him, after opening eyes for the first time.
Besides, he was anxious that Stephen might use this baby to threaten Kylie.
He took a quick step forward to the front of Stephen’s face and reached out to grab his baby over.
Stephen stood still and stared at Ethan. “Do you know who to handle it?” He challenged him.
Ethan was struck dumb.
Stephen snorted, then kissed the baby’s forehead to show off his satisfaction before he handed it to a nurse to clean it up.
Ethan didn’t dare move his sight away from the baby. He witnessed the nurse clean, weigh it, and keep its footprint.
“Does mommy want to see the baby?” the nurse asked with a smile.
Kylie beamed and reached out her hands. The baby was as soft as cotton, and she hugged it in her arms, bent. “Ethan, he looks exactly like you.”
Ethan protected his wife and son from Stephen. “Thanks, Kylie.”
Kylie hugged the baby for a short while, then felt another round of uterine contraction. She clenched her teeth, asking Ethan, “Is mother here?”
Ethan nodded and took the baby away from her arm. “Yes, I’ll give the baby to her.”
Barbara stood outside the door in anxiety when she heard the baby’s crying but couldn’t see it.
Ethan opened the door from the inside, and Barbara asked him urgently, “Ethan, how is it?”
“It’s a boy,” he said to Barbara and gave the baby to her.
At the same time, Ethan talked to Nate in lip language. Stephen is inside.
Knowing that Nate was alert at once. He informed Vincent and told Vincent to surround this hospital with their people right away.
When Ethan returned to the delivery room, Kylie was ready to give birth to the second baby.
“Ethan.” Kylie grabbed his hand. “I think the person I just saw in the theater couldn’t be Stephen.”
Ethan had the same idea, and he believed it wasn’t a good thing.
Stephen was wearing a mask and also felt confused. “Did you just meet a person who resembles me?”
“No.” Kylie tolerated the pain and said, “He looked the same as you.” Stephen seemed to realize something. “Don’t worry, and I won’t allow anyone to hurt you.”
“He must be one of your people,” Ethan sneered. “The deal was ruined because you were dead. They must hate Kylie the most.”
Stephen ignored Ethan and said to Kylie, “It’s a beautiful drawing.”

It was impossible that he didn’t get jealous.
On the other side, Stephen also understood something.
Nobody could replace Ethan in Kylie’s eyes. She was happy when Ethan was happy.
No matter how much he had done for her, she only felt touched but would never fall in love with him.
“Kylie, I’m happy when you’re happy,” Stephen said, feeling sad, then checked her condition in silence.
However, the second baby refused to come out.
Chapter 542: I Mistook Him For Stephen
“Kylie, come one, push harder so your baby will come out!” Stephen was a little worried, although he looked calm.
There was a time gap of an hour between the two babies, which wasn’t good for the second child.
Kylie was already out of strength now.
“Ethan.” She held his hand. “What i-if…”

Stephen snorted with disdain, “You won’t do it no matter what happens. Idiot, I’m your twin brother,” He added in a low voice. Ethan once again sneered at him.
The two nurses in the room were scared by their aggressive argument. One of them summoned up her courage and handed a piece of medicine, then hid back at the corner along with another one.
“What is this?” Ethan caught Stephen’s arm, in case he injected anything harmful into Kylie’s body.
Stephen got rid of his hand with impatience. “It’s an oxytocin.”
Afterward, Stephen quickly picked a syringe and injected the medicine into Kylie’s body.
The medicine soon came into effect, and Kylie shouted in pain again, “Ethan, it’s too painful!”
“Hug her from her back,” Stephen said. “Only you can cheer her up now.”
It wasn’t a suitable time to argue against Stephen, so Ethan had to listen to him.
“I’m here, Kylie.” Ethan supported Kylie up with his arms under her armpits. “We won’t do that again. We won’t do that again.”
“D-Do you love this baby?” Kylie asked, gasping for breath.
“No,” Ethan replied without thinking. “I don’t love anyone who put you in great pain. I … I just want you to be safe,”
“Since you don’t love it, why don’t you send it to me?” Stephen laughed.
“Why should I send my kid to you?” Ethan retorted.
“Didn’t Barbara separate us apart? You’ll have the same feeling,” Stephen snorted and laid his hand on Kylie’s belly. It seemed he was going to take the baby away once it was out.
Kylie got anxious.
It left a deep scar on Stephen’s mind when Barbara sent him away. She understood how unpleasant it was, so she would never allow it to happen to her child.
“Stephen, listen to me…” When Kylie was about to say something, she felt a sudden force of falling and clenched her teeth again.
Seeing her using great strength again, Ethan hugged her body tight and kept encouraging her.
Stephen seemed to be an outsider, looking at Kylie struggling in agony. When she was about to give it up, he said, “Kylie, it’s the same for me to get your baby if I can’t have you.”
“No!” Kylie yelled.
The baby refused to come out just then but now kept moving down when she was terribly afraid that Stephen would take it away.
“No, No.” Kylie cried, feeling helpless. “No!”
Kylie’s tight body gradually softened in Ethan’s arms. She felt something was out but couldn’t hear the baby’s crying.
“The baby,” Kylie said through Ethan’s ears in a weak voice.
Ethan fixed his eyes on Stephen but didn’t loosen his arms around Kylie.
He was also furious when Stephen said that, but he understood Stephen simply wanted to make Kylie be protective. Her anger could be a great force, too, to deliver the baby.
Therefore, Stephen was very nervous when the baby didn’t cry after it was out.
He quickly picked up a straw and put it into the baby’s mouth to suck out the extra amniotic fluid from it. After that, he held the baby’s head down and beat its butt at the same time.
However, he was growingly worried as time went by.
Ethan was very sure that Stephen was rescuing this baby.
Kylie burst into tears when she couldn’t hear the baby crying.
She turned to hug Ethan tight. “Save the baby. Save the baby.” Ethan patted her back. “Trust me, Stephen is doing his best to save the baby’s life.”
Kylie stopped crying, then turned to look at Stephen.
Stephen was the best doctor she had ever seen. If he couldn’t save her kid, nobody else could.
After a total of three minutes, they finally heard a weak crying from Stephen’s hand, which sounded like a kitten’s meow.
Three of them were relieved, and Kylie fell unconscious in Ethan’s arm.
Stephen checked the baby’s condition, then said to Ethan, “This kid is very weak. You must take good care of her. By the way, congratulations, it’s a girl.

“It’s human law and I paid for it. Besides, you already made a death certificate for me. And I know you won’t dare to tell our parents that I still exist. Apart from that, would you dare to kill your twin brother, too? Ethan, I knew she loved you; that’s the reason I give up,” Stephen turned to look at the girl lying on the bed in a deep sleep. “Bear it in mind that I’ll take Kylie away at any time, so…” A touch of sadness flashed by his eyes, but he still raised a smile. “Take good care of her too.”
Once the door of the delivery room was open, a group of people blocked the entrance.
“Stephen, stay here today!” Nate raised his handgun and aimed at Stephen’s head.

Ethan moved a step forward to stand before Stephen. “I mistook him for Stephen, but he isn’t.”
Chapter 543: How Dare You?
“Seriously?” Nate was struck dumb for a second. “No way!” He walked near to Stephen and observed him around his face trying to find any hints of a human-skin mask.
However, he failed. If Ethan hadn’t been standing in the middle, he would have pulled the doctor’s face to feel its texture.
“He isn’t Stephen?” Nate still couldn’t believe it.
Ethan had never made such a mistake before. Since Ethan told him Stephen was in the room, Stephen must be in the room.
“Let him go!” Nate waved his hand. Ethan didn’t say anything, too, as he tends to let his little brother leave in peace.
Dozens of people who surrounded the door moved away at once but still pointed their guns at Stephen’s head.
Stephen glanced at Ethan, then walked ahead with confidence. He didn’t seem scared at all.
Seeing the doctor leaving, Nate waved his hand again. “Let’s go catch the jerk inside!”
Hearing that, Ethan stopped him at once. “Kylie is still on the bed.”
“Oh,” Nate nodded, “I can guard at the door. I must catch him today!”
The moment he finished his sentence, the door of the delivery room was opened again.
Two nurses pushed the patient bed out, and Ethan followed them up, walking to the VIP ward without delay.
Nate guided his people dashing inside, but there was nobody in the room. “What?” Nate turned to look at the two nurses, then suddenly smiled. “Good boy, Stephen. You disguise yourself as a female in order to escape.” Once he seized the nurse, she just snorted.
“What are you talking about? I am not Stephen,”
“What?! Common don’t pretend anymore,”
“I am a nurse who assisted the Doctor that let Mrs. Parker give birth. You’ve mistakenly identified me as another person,”
Nate was stunned, but he sure she’s not Stephen when he thoroughly checked the nurse’s face. Clenching his fist, he let go of the nurse, walked out, and then checked the other wardroom.

Kylie woke up when she was pushed into the intensive care unit. The first thing that appeared in her sight was Ethan’s hand.
“Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?” Ethan asked her with concern.
Kylie shook her head. She wanted to ask something about Stephen but was out of strength.
A nurse said to Ethan, “She needs rest and could only make some little movements after 12 hours.”
“Thanks.” Ethan moved the patient bed a little higher so that Kylie felt more comfortable lying on it.
At this moment, Nate dashed into the ward all of a sudden and stopped a nurse from leaving. “Good boy, what’s your breast, cotton or silica gel?” Saying that he reached out his hand and grabbed the nurse’s boob.
The nurse was struck dumb for a few seconds, then flushed in an instant. She raised her palm and slapped Nate across his face. “How dare you!”

“Yeah, I come here to see the babies!” Nate put on a broad smile at once.
“My mother has them,” Kylie said.
Nate nodded, then gave his people a look to tell them to retreat. “Thanks, I’ll leave you two some space.”
“Alright, leave now.” Ethan chased him away.
Nate could only wave goodbye to Kylie. “Have a good rest, Kylie. Fannie and I will visit you and the babies again tomorrow.”
Kylie nodded. When Nate was gone, she said to Ethan in a low voice, “Thank you, honey.”
Ethan smoothed her hair. “I should thank you. Now I have a son and a daughter at the same time.”
“Really? Is it a girl?” Kylie got excited with joyful tears in her eyes.
“Yes, a boy and a girl.” Ethan beamed. Knowing that Kylie totally forgot the agony and torture she just had suffered.
Ethan stood up and poured a glass of water for Kylie.
After resting for a while, Kylie asked, “Will you tell mother about Stephen’s existence?”
Ethan shook his head. “She just accepted the news of Stephen’s death. I don’t think it’s a good idea to tell her he’s still alive. At the right time, I will let her know. After all, she had suffered so much for the past few years. I can’t bear to see my Mom suffer again,” Kylie understood it. If Barbara knew Stephen was still alive, she would do her best to find him.
If the news that Stephen was still alive went abroad, he would have to live the rest of his life as an escaping criminal. Ethan doesn’t want his twin brother to live his life in a mess. He suddenly recalled those moments they were in a good relationship. Things had changed when Kylie appeared in their lives. Kylie was stunned, and tears fell from her eyes, “Ethan, you’re such a good husband despite the fact you’re not human. When are you going to change me into an immortal? Hey, I can’t live with you like this, watching you didn’t grow old and our children who inherited your blood,”
Ethan lowered down head and kissed her lips, “We will do it when you’re strong enough because it’s not as simple as you thought. We need to move back to the Island that my mother had gifted you earlier to protect our children. We can’t let the public know that they’re not human. Changes to our children might occur earlier, and I can’t let any mortals know we existed in this human world,”
Kylie nodded, “I understand, and for the sake of our children, I will follow you from now on,”
Before Ethan could answer, footsteps and laughter soon sounded outside the ward, and Barbara, along with Adolph, walked inside.
“Kylie, thank you for what you’ve done!” Barbara beamed. “The boy looks the same as Ethan when he was a little boy.”
“I think the girl is prettier.” Adolph also smiled with happiness. “She’s as beautiful as Kylie.”
Ethan stood up and let Barbara sit on the chair, while Adolph stood right behind her.
“Kylie, we finally have a pair of twin boy and girl in your generation,” Barbara said. She couldn’t be happier now. “My older sister and I always wanted a younger brother when we were kids, but I hoped to have a daughter when I became a mother myself.”
“We can if you want,” Adolph said.
Barbara flushed. “We can’t. We’re too old to do that now.”
“I don’t think so. We can do that anytime you want.” Adolph argued.
“Don’t embarrass yourself before, kids!” Barbara said, then turned to face Ethan. “Ethan, the housekeeper, just called me and told me that your phone is powered off.”
“Yeah,” Ethan said. “What’s up?”
Barbara looked sad all of a sudden. “Well, when you carried the babies in your arms out just then, the housekeeper told me Pupu passed away.”
Chapter 544: She Feel Like Crying
Kylie felt like crying when she heard the sad news.
She had promised to stay by Pupu’s side in the last few minutes of its life, but she failed to keep her promise.
Ethan held Kylie’s hand and squeezed it to comfort her. “It’s fine. Pupu will forgive you and feel happy for you if it knows you were in delivery.”
Kylie nodded, whimpering, “And? What should we do now?”
“We can bury it in the garden at our back yard,” Ethan said. “It can stay with us forever.”
“Great.” Kylie sniffed, fighting back the tears.
Ethan went to call the housekeeper, and Barbara suddenly thought of something. She asked Kylie, “Do the babies have names?”
Kylie said, “Ethan did make a name for the baby when he thought I was carrying only one in my belly. If it’s a boy, his name is Richard Parker. If it’s a girl, her name is Eva Parker.”
Barbara nodded with satisfaction. “I think the boy’s name is good, but the girl’s name could be better.”
“Mom, why don’t you help us think of a better one?” Kylie smiled.
She wasn’t lazy, but it was so difficult for her to think of a name now. She was out of strength, and even her mind couldn’t work.
Barbara turned to look at Adolph. “Do you have any advice?”
“Me?” Adolph pointed at his nose and looked surprised. “Did you just ask me for advice? Do you want me to make a name for the baby?”
“I just asked you for your advice. It doesn’t mean we’ll use the name you make!” Barbara rolled her eyes at him.
Adolph didn’t mind Barbara criticizing him right before Kylie’s face at all. Instead, he began to think about it with full attention.
When Ethan finished the call and walked back, he heard Adolph saying, “Ritchel Parker?”
“Great.” Ethan was the first one who approved of it. “I think it’s a good name.”
“See? Ethan thinks it’s a good name.” Adolph beamed.
Kylie was also satisfied with it. “I love the name.”
Only Barbara didn’t show an obvious attitude about it. “Fine, since you all like it, we can give the girl this name.”
To let Kylie have more quiet rest, Barbara made an excuse and left with Adolph to see their grandchildren in the babies’ room.
After Kylie fell asleep, she still kept sweating because of her weak condition.
Ethan arranged a doctor he trusted most to come here to make sure she was safe.
After the examination, the doctor said Kylie was fine, and Ethan didn’t feel fully relieved until now.
In her dream, Kylie was playing with Pupu on grassland. She threw the toy Pupu liked most away with great force, and Pupu chased it up, shaking its tail in joy.
She sat on the grassland, looking up at the blue sky and white clouds above her head. She enjoyed every second of her life.
All of a sudden, Kylie heard noises from the nearby grassland. She smiled and said, “Pupu, you’re a little slower this time.”
“Who is Bubu?” A little kid’s voice sounded from the grass.
Kylie was surprised and abruptly sat up, staring at the little boy staggering towards her.
He was about a year old with a round, cute face. Most importantly, he had exactly the same features as Ethan!
Although she was in a dream, Kylie still remembered that she just gave birth to a little boy who closely resembled Ethan today.
Seeing Kylie staring at him with surprise, the little boy asked her, “Mommy, who is Bubu?”
Hearing that, Kylie almost cried out. “It’s not Bubu, but Pupu.”
“Bubu.” The little boy repeated.
Kylie burst into tears and hugged the little boy with her arms. “You’re Pupu, my baby.”
“Bubu?” The little boy giggled. “Oh, is it my new name?” At this moment, Kylie felt someone lightly pushing her shoulder. She opened her eyes, then found the pillow was already wet with her tears.
“What did you dream?” Ethan wiped her face with a warm towel.
Kylie threw herself into Ethan’s arms and whimpered, “I dreamed about Pupu. Pupu didn’t go to heaven.”
“What?” Ethan was confused.
Kylie wiped her tears with his clothing, then raised her head to look at him. “Pupu became our son after it died.”
Ethan was amused. “Alright, Pupu is our son now.” He patted her back to comfort her.
“Are you laughing at me?” Kylie pouted.
“Nope,” Ethan said.
“I saw it!” Kylie argued.
“I didn’t.” Ethan smiled.
“You did.” Kylie insisted.
Ethan put on a serious face at once. “See? I didn’t laugh at all.”
Kylie pouted again. “Carry our babies here. I’ll prove it to you.” Even though it was just Kylie’s dream, Ethan thought it was time to let her see their babies now.
There were bodyguards outside the babies’ room 24/7, but Ethan still went to carry the babies over in person.
There was no need for Ethan to knock on the door because the baby’s crying was too loud to be ignored, and Kylie knew he was coming back from a distance away.
A blue and a little pink blanket were placed in the crib near Kylie. The boy was crying loud, while the girl was in a deep sleep.
Kylie lightly carried her son up in her arms and said to him in a gentle voice, “Bubu, Bubu, have some sleep.”
The next second, a surprising scene happened. The little boy really stopped crying and even looked at Kylie for a short while before it fell asleep.
“See? I didn’t lie to you,” Kylie said.
“Is it a coincidence?” Ethan bent to look at the baby. He even poked the baby’s face with his finger, but the baby was still in a sound sleep.
Kylie removed his hand from the baby’s face, then told him her dream with pride.
“You’re the boss,” Ethan said at the end.
The ward fell into silence again. Kylie fixed her eyes on her two babies, while Ethan stared straight at his wife.
Laurence arrived at the hospital in a hurry after he received the news. He pushed the door of the ward open and felt touched by the loving scene.
“Dad,” Kylie moved her sight away from the two babies.
Ethan stood up and moved a chair to the bedside for Laurence.
Laurence put a bunch of flowers down, then walked to the crib with a broad smile on his face. “Let me have a look at my little grandson and granddaughter.”
The two little babies slept together, and the younger sister’s head was placed on her older brother’s shoulder, which looked super lovely.
“Oh, this little boy knows to protect his younger sister at such an early age!” Laurence said.
“He’ll protect his younger sister during this lifetime,” Kylie said with a smile. “If the younger sister is bullied by anyone, I’ll beat his ass!”
Ethan gave her a glance. “Who just forbade me to beat the boy?”
“It’s different!” Kylie argued. “I gave birth to him, so I have the right to educate him. If you want to beat your son, go deliver one yourself!”

“If I could,” Ethan said, then stopped for a second. Kylie thought he would say something like he wouldn’t need her if he had the ability to give birth to a baby.
