Chapter 76: I Want Love
He frowned but didn’t explain. His eyes were smiling.
She flipped the card around, and thought: Oh My, this is a freaking Black Card!
He had mentioned that he would give her some pocket money, but she hadn’t expected…this!
“So…this is my pocket money?” she asked him.
The man nodded and looked the other way. Kylie noticed that his ear was turning red.
Did he feel embarrassed?
After making the payment, Kylie kissed the card and put it in her purse.
“Damn, for this card, I will definitely quit smoking, drinking, and swearing.” Then she realized her mistake and covered her mouth, smiling.
When they were about to leave, Kylie overheard the manager telling the other two saleswomen: “I am pretty sure that they are not a couple.”
“Of course. Look at him. He is fucking heaven.”
“I would take my pants off if he would look at me just once.”
Kylie took his arm and smiled, asking him: “You can have as many women as you wish. Why did you choose me?”
“Because I resisted you? And that made you want me more?”
He stopped and looked down at her. She was smiling, but he knew that she wanted a real answer.
“You are right. I deserve the best.”
Kylie was confused. She scratched her ear and asked: “What do you mean?”
“I want love,”
In the beginning, she had married him, not because he had forced her to, but because, deep inside her heart, she wanted to avenge herself against Aiden and Khloe.
But now she almost forgot about their betrayal. And for once, she really wanted to marry him.
At that moment, she saw a couple walking towards them.
When she recognized who they were, she smiled with utter happiness.
It was Aiden Parker, and the woman next to him was not Khloe, but his mother, Taylor Parker.
Aiden also spotted Kylie and Ethan Parker.
Kylie was holding onto Ethan Parker’s arm. When Aiden saw that, his face became deathly pale. But he decided to walk towards them anyway.
His mother noticed that something had caught her son’s attention, so she followed his eyes. She was furious when she saw Ethan Parker and Kylie Finch walking so close together.
Kylie didn’t want to talk to Aiden, so she gripped Ethan Parker’s arm, and pretended not to see them.
But when they were about to pass by each other, Aiden Parker called out Kylie’s name.
Kylie pretended that she hadn’t heard him. She raised her head and asked Ethan Parker: “Do you want to go upstairs?”
Before Aiden had time to say anything, his mother stopped Kylie and sneered. “It’s really you, Kylie Finch.”
Kylie turned her head but didn’t say anything.
When she had been with Aiden Parker, she had addressed Taylor Parker as ‘Aunt.’ Now that she was married to Ethan Parker should Taylor Parker address Kylie as’ Sister-in-Law?’
Taylor Parker continued, looking at Ethan: “I see you are shopping. Why did you try to ignore us?”
“Let’s go upstairs.” Ethan Parker didn’t want to speak to Taylor Parker. He took Kylie’s arms and tugged at it, indicating that he wanted to leave.
But apparently, Taylor Parker didn’t want them to leave. She smiled, but spoke viciously:
“Ethan, you haven’t been home in the last few days, so I didn’t have the opportunity to talk to you. Since you’ve been in charge of the company, you haven’t allowed me to do anything, and you didn’t attend the charity gala. I want to know what you want? Aiden submitted several business proposals and you turned them all down. But I heard that you’re using your money to try to get the leading role for this woman. I think you are way out of line, trying to intervene with how we manage in the entertainment industry.”
“You invested in a Tea House?” After hearing what Taylor Parker said, Kylie was so surprised.
But she didn’t believe it.
If he had indeed invested in the TV drama, her role shouldn’t have changed from the leading role to a minor supporting role.
Ethan Parker looked coldly from Taylor Parker to her son, but he didn’t try to explain anything.
Kylie Finch smiled and looked at Taylor Parker. “You should watch our prime-time TV drama, and then you would know that he didn’t want me to play the leading role.”
Then she looked at Aiden and sneered. “If your mother hasn’t watched it, then you should tell her which role her future daughter-in-law has.”
When she looked at his mother once again, Kylie mocked her: “Or…are you saying that my husband wants to invest in your daughter-in-law?”
“You…!” Taylor Parker’s body was shaking.
Taylor didn’t like Ethan. This time, he even allowed Kylie Finch to make fun of her. She was furious.
“Ethan Parker, no matter what, I am your sister-in-law. You think you are so superior just because you are in charge of the Century Group. But I can tell you-my son, Aiden, is the real successor of the family fortune. If you still want to be part of our family, you should go back to the shithole from whence you came.”
After hearing what she said, Ethan Parker was not mad. Instead, he glared at her and said: “You should talk to my father. If you don’t have the balls, then get the fuck out.”
“You! Don’t think that I’m afraid when bringing up your father… You should know better than anyone why he wanted you back. You are just his pawn. When your mother was pregnant, our whole family knew what had happened. You bastard don’t even know who your real father is. You’re not a Parker!”
Taylor Parker’s beautiful face was twisted into a grimace, and spit even started to issue from her mouth.
Ethan Parker didn’t have a response, but Kylie Finch was furious.
She stood in front of Ethan Parker and sneered at Taylor Parker. “I finally know why Uncle Matthew didn’t stay home very often. It’s because of you! Do you think that Aiden is his only son? Just check at the hospital. See how many daughters and sons Matthew Parker really has.”
Taylor Parker was shocked, and Kylie continued: “As for the man who didn’t take care of Ethan, we don’t care about him. I will love him more than anything else.
Chapter 77: Apologize To Her
“You want to kick Lord Ethan out of Century Group, for what? So you can show us what you can do? A don’t talk about the proposals Aiden wrote. Think about it-if he and his father were capable of accomplishing anything, then the Group wouldn’t have needed to ask Ethan back in such a hurry. You want him to take the blame for you, but he managed to sign on a big case. Now, the Group is back on track again.
“And now you want to take the credit! Wait and see who will actually be kicked out of the Century Group!”
No one could mess with Kylie Finch. She had taught Taylor Parker a lesson.
She had known all this from the very beginning. She had never talked about it until now, because she didn’t want to embarrass anyone, and she didn’t want to get involved in Ethan’s family affairs.
But when she had discovered how shameless Taylor Parker was, she definitely had to say something. She was just as cruel and manipulative as Khloe, if not more so. Both of them were bitches.
Ethan Parker looked down at her, and his eyes grew tender as he watched Kylie defending him.
Seeing Kylie angry like this, Aiden felt like a net bound his heart. He had such a hard time breathing.
His mother was furious. She looked pale, and her lip was twitching. She held the bag in her hands so tightly. Some of her long fingernails even broke off.
After a long time, she stammered: “You…you little bitch. How dare you!” Then she raised her right hand and wanted to slap Kylie.
Kylie Finch didn’t need a man to take care of Taylor Parker, but Ethan acted quickly, holding back Taylor’s hand.
Taylor Parker was shocked and looked at Ethan Parker. “You…”
“Why didn’t you listen to me…” His eyes became cold when he looked into Taylor Parker’s eyes. With great strength, they all heard the sound of a bone-breaking.
“Ah!” Taylor Parker’s wrist was mangled. She screamed, and cold sweat dripped down her face.
“Apologize to her!” Ethan yelled at Taylor Parker.
He was frightened of his uncle. After a long time, he realized what happened, and he held his mother’s shaking body. “Ma…ma…”
Taylor Parker could barely stand up straight. She grabbed at her son with her other hand, and tried to speak: “My…hand…call 911…”
Aiden fumbled in his pockets, looking for his phone.
Ethan Parker sneered at her. “If you don’t apologize to her before the ambulance arrives, I will break your other hand.”
Her scream had already attracted so many people. They didn’t know what had happened, so they could only whisper theories to each other.
Taylor Parker gritted her teeth; she didn’t want to apologize. But when Ethan Parker looked at her with his cold eyes, she felt a greater stab of pain in her broken wrist.
She looked at Kylie Parker and said, reluctantly: “I am sorry.”
“Louder!”
Her sweat dripped into her eyes. She raised her hands and unconsciously messed up her makeup. She looked like a panda.
The strangers around her were sympathetic, but, when they saw her eyes, they started to laugh.
She began to panic. People like her were terrified of other, common people making fun of them. She tried to endure the pain, and said to Kylie, a bit louder: “I am sorry.”
“I still can’t hear you.” He was in absolute control of the situation.
Aiden couldn’t tolerate it anymore. He said to Kylie: “Kylie, my Mom made a huge mistake. She didn’t mean to hurt you. Please forgive her.”
Then he bowed before Kylie.
Kylie tugged at Ethan Parker’s shirt.
He looked at her, then decided to forget about tormenting Taylor Parker. He took out a handkerchief from his front pocket and used it to wipe his hand. Then he dropped it on the floor.
All the people around them stepped back to make way for him, as he turned to leave.
Ethan Parker held Kylie’s hand as they left the shopping mall together.
They stood in the sightseeing elevator, and Kylie looked at Ethan Parker with great sympathy.
“Ethan, she was talking shit. Don’t take it so seriously. You told me that you want real love. I promise you that I will take all the blame for you since I already don’t have a good reputation. If anyone has the balls to mess with you, I will kick their asses. I will always be your shield.”
A strong warmth overcame him.
“I never cared about what they say,” he replied.
Even though he said that Kylie still felt bad for him, thinking over what Taylor Parker had said back then, she realized that his familial history must be similar to hers.
They had both been placed in difficult situations, and they had both left home as a result.
He wasn’t as strong he seemed. If he didn’t do so many things for his family, they would probably treat him much worse.
Then she thought about something that Star had said to her.
If someone’s character is flawed, it must have something to do with the environment in which he or she grew up.
Kylie gently took hold of his arm. “Ethan, when did you move out and lived by yourself?”
“When I was very young,” he responded, in a very calm way.
He didn’t say the exact age, but Kylie could imagine that it must have happened when he was just a kid.
She stroked his arm in an attempt to comfort him. “Rest assured, and you can count on me from now on.”
He remained silent and smiled a little. There was no actual change in his features, but Taylor could feel his arm shaking.
Kylie knew that he was struggling inside. She didn’t want to be too dramatic, but she had to find out how he was doing. “Why are you looking at me like that? Your hands are shaking…”
Without finishing her sentence, Kylie was pushed up against the glass wall. He bent over and kissed her on the lips.
As soon as she’d said that she would be his shield, he had wanted to do this.
The sightseeing elevator was transparent. It went up slowly, and the sunshine hit the glass. There was a beautiful shadow along the floor.
Kylie felt dizzy, and she dropped the shopping bag.
Chapter 78: People Will See Us
She came to her senses and gently pushed him away. She spoke, her face red with embarrassment: “People will see us.”
“You mean…we can continue when we get back home?” he asked in a low, sexy voice. Kylie softly punched his chest and smiled. “I am going back. I still want to do some shopping.”
“Okay.” The man only said the one word, but Kylie could tell that he was shaken.
The elevator went up to the top floor, where the women’s dresses were sold.
Ethan Parker took her arm and led her to a specific shop.
Kylie didn’t think much about it; she simply followed him and generally looked around at the clothes in the shop.
She shook her head after looking at some of the clothes over. “These are not formal enough for those formal occasions, and they’re a little too conservative for everyday life. I like simple clothes. The ones that make me feel comfortable.”
He nodded. “You have enough clothes for formal occasions. But when you are going outside, you should wear more decent clothes.”
“Are you saying that the clothes I usually wear aren’t decent?” Kylie caught on to the keyword.
“People can see your belly button, waist, and butt. You call that decent?” Ethan Parker asked her.
Kylie rolled her eyes. Then why had he chosen to be with her?
He pointed at a blue dress in the closet. “Try that one.”
“Ethan Parker!” Kylie crossed her arms in refusal.
She would not try it on! Decent? The whole back of the dress was made of lace…
But when she remembered the shopping bag in her hand, she lowered her arms in defeat. She had just forced him to try on something he didn’t like, but he hadn’t said anything.
If he can make a compromise for her, then she could listen to him just this once.
Kylie handed him the bag and carried the dress to the fitting room.
While she was changing, a man appeared behind Ethan Parker and said: “Lord Ethan, here you are. I thought you were dealing with some big cases.”
Ethan Parker didn’t even turn his head.
Knowing that he was being ignored, Nate Bass walked around to face Ethan. “Shouldn’t you give me some compliments for today?”
Ethan Parker looked at him, and said coldly: “Forget about the proposal.”
“My Lord. I want to die for you!” Nate Bass smiled and bowed. Then he looked at the fitting room and got extra close to Ethan Parker.
“Lord Ethan, what happened that night? Are you just going to continue watching her, as though you want to eat her alive?”
Ethan Parker continued to look cold and stiff. He just said: “Piss off.”
But Nate Bass couldn’t stop talking. “How can you continue to not do anything to her? I mean, look at her body. If it was me, I would do her right now.”
After he said this, Ethan Parker’s face froze up.
Then Kylie Finch came out of the fitting room.
Nate Bass saw that Kylie Finch was wearing a navy-blue dress. He was shocked. “Holy Cow, didn’t you say that you wouldn’t allow anyone around you ever to wear that color? What, are you looking for a…replacement?”
Kylie walked towards them and only heard Nate Bass’s last words.
She was surprised to see him, and asked: “Who is looking for a replacement?”
Ethan Parker looked at Nate as though he would have liked to kill him. But Nate simply laughed and said: “You could never be someone’s replacement. I said you look so perfect in this dress. Just perfect. You look marvelous.”
Kylie rolled her eyes. “I don’t buy it.”
“I am just…speechless in front of you.” He coughed in embarrassment and felt Ethan Parker’s cold eyes on him.
She stood in front of the mirror. “What about it? Does it look good on me?”
Nate Bass was incapable of saying anything.
No matter from which angle, Kylie just didn’t like the dress.
The saleswoman walked up to her, said: “Miss, your white skin is so bright and clear while wearing this dress. And look at the waist… It’s perfect for you.”
Kylie nodded, but said: “This color is…too high-profile.”
“How so? People your age are still young. And your husband is such a handsome man. You should claim your ownership.”
Kylie looked at Ethan and then looked down at the dress.
Nate looked in the mirror at her. His eyes suddenly opened wide.
He walked behind Kylie Finch and pointed at the crust of blood on her neck. “Oh My God, Lord Ethan, you really don’t know how to eat a woman. Look at her! I’ll send you a video for you to learn how.”
Kylie followed his finger and saw the place where Ethan Parker had kissed her.
She blushed right away.
That wasn’t a kiss mark, but it was hard to tell that from the outside. Still, hearing what Nate said, Kylie was embarrassed.
She covered her neck and stammered: “This is not… It’s a mosquito bite.”
“The mosquito is that big?” he asked, pointing at Ethan Parker.
Ethan looked at him sternly and said to Nate: “Get the fuck out of here.”
“I am going to change my clothes.” Then Kylie ran into the fitting room.
After Kylie was gone, Nate Bass raised his eyebrows and looked at Ethan Parker. “My sister loved you for so many years, and you totally ignored her. I thought you didn’t love women. Now I’m relieved to see that you have tasted Kylie Finch.”
Ethan Parker was furious.
But Nate ignored the expression on Ethan’s face. He said: “You have made such progress the last few days, but you don’t seem very happy. Does that mean…”
Ethan’s hand had turned into a fist. Clearly, he was trying to hide something.
“So, you haven’t told her about your secret?” Nate asked. When he saw Ethan’s eyes, he seemed to change his mind about something. He shook his head and smiled. “Lord Ethan, I have to remind you that, unless you’re absolutely sure, do not get too deep into a relationship. Otherwise, when she leaves you, I will be the one who has to comfort you.”
The muscles on Ethan’s face were clenched tight. “I told you. Fuck off.”
“I’m your friend, but you’re always so rude to me. But then you always think of me when you need a punching bag.” Nate started to walk away but stopped before he had gone too far.
Chapter 79: You’re Still My Wife
He whispered to Ethan Parker: “Lord Ethan, you can ask me for help if you don’t know how to get along with her, you know.”
The man said, in an equally low voice: “Piss off.”
“Yeah, Yeah, I’m leaving.” Nate Bass smiled and left.
At that time, Kylie came out of the fitting room and noticed that Nate Bass had gone. She didn’t ask why, but she handed the dress to the saleswoman and said, looking at her husband: “This item…”
“We will take it,” he interrupted.

After dinner, Kylie took the two shopping bags to the bedroom.
She was shocked when she looked into his wardrobe again. She hadn’t noticed before, but now she could see that all of his white shirts had been specially made for him.
She knew that his clothes didn’t have any logos, but now that they were next to his new blue shirt, it was clear that nobody else in the world had the same white shirts like him.
He exercised for a while at the gym, then he entered the bedroom and walked towards her when he saw that she was clearing up the closet space.
She noticed his shadow coming towards her, and then someone put a hand on her waist.
He bent down and said quietly next to her ear: “Kylie Finch, do you know what I thought when I saw you in that dress this afternoon?”
“That I’m ugly?” She turned her head away to avoid his hot breath.
“No,” The man replied, putting his jaw against her beautiful collarbone and saying slowly: “I want to tear it apart.”
She didn’t have time to say anything before she was gently pushed towards the bed.
“You said that we could continue at home…” His sexy voice was like Mozart’s music. Kylie couldn’t resist it.
And he couldn’t resist his feelings anymore. He put his hands around her waist, then inside her dress.
She couldn’t think of what to do. It was the first time she felt that his kiss carried some kind of magic, making her lose all reason.
She looked at his beautiful face and eyes. He wanted to have all of her, and she wanted the same as him.
When they actually decided to do it, Ethan Parker didn’t bite at her madly like the previous night. Instead, he gently kissed her body and then…
When he finally put himself inside her, he felt some resistance, like a wall.
Kylie moaned in pain. He slowly pulled himself out and covered her with a blanket.
Even if she didn’t work in the entertainment industry, she had still been in love with Aiden for five years. She would have done anything for him. There’s no way that she was still…
But it was truly her first time…
“What…” Kylie noticed that he had stopped. She raised her head and looked at him. Her face was red.
Ethan Parker stood up and lay next to her. He tried to calm himself down.
Even her perfection made him feel worthless.
“Maybe we should do it some other day…”
“What do you mean?” Kylie looked at him.
Ethan Parker put his arm under her head and covered his eyes with his other arm. “I want to wait till you fall in love with me, instead of just being moved by my story.”
Then he held her inside his arms and asked: “Um…why, didn’t you tell me this is your first time?”
“This…” She blushed again. She hid her face against his shoulder. “You didn’t ask.”
But he obviously would have known about it eventually.
She looked pensive, then said, after having been silent for a while: “I know I asked too much of you before. Men like you have been with other women…I can let the past go. But I hope that you can break away from the past once you’ve been with me.”
He was surprised by her words, and his lips twitched a little. “It’s hard to say. But I can guarantee that you’re the only one in my life.”
She wasn’t very comfortable with his response. He had asked her to have a clean break with the past, but he couldn’t do the same for her?
She immediately changed her attitude and asked him: “Then did we do it or not?”
“Even if we didn’t do it, you are still my wife…” Then he sat up and spread open her legs. “Let me see if you are hurt.”
“What?” Kylie started laughing and covered her mouth. “I’m fine. Trust me.”
He was still dominating over her. He had wanted to see it, and she had refused, but he had no intention of moving just yet. After a while, Kylie started talking.
“If you answer my question, I’ll let you see it.”
“Okay.”
“You said that we have a fake marriage. That’s not true, right?” She looked at him intently, her face still red.
Their position was hard to describe…
“Yes, you’re right,” he finally said, very honestly.
“You…” Kylie wanted to kick him, but he was still holding onto her leg, “Then it’s also not true that you married me because your family forced you to marry someone?”
“Yes.”
“Ethan Parker!” Kylie kicked him with her other leg, but he grabbed it as well. She asked him, angrily: “Then you ran into me in front of the coffee shop on purpose?”
“Yes.”
“Tell me, what do you want from me?”
She tried to sit up, but he pushed her back down on the bed.
“That’s four questions,” he said, still insisting on looking between her legs.
It was the first time a man had ever looked at that part of her body. She was so embarrassed that she wanted to hide underground forever. “I’m fine! I’m not injured… You don’t need to look for such a long time,” she exclaimed.
“Just a bit more.” He burrowed his finger inside her.
“Ah!” She screamed and glared at him angrily. Did he want to take her virginity with his finger?
Their bodies, and their hearts, had grown much closer that night.

The following morning, she woke early, but he was already gone.
He always woke up before her. He was always so self-disciplined.
She changed her clothes, cleaned her face, and brushed her teeth. She went down to the gym and found him there.
Chapter 80: I Will Protect My Girl
When she saw him lift a heavy dumbbell with ease, she whistled.
“Cool!” She walked towards him and felt his arm muscles.
When he exercised, he wore a black top with sporty shorts. When he exerted greater strength, his muscles became bigger and more obvious.
Especially his biceps and chest muscles…
“Breakfast is ready…” She swallowed deeply and looked like a starving cat facing a delicious meal.
He dropped the dumbbells, and wiped some of the sweat from his body “I’m all sweaty.”
When he looked at her like that, smiling and covered in sweat, she wanted to touch him even more. But her phone began to ring.
Her eyes were still glued to his body, so she answered the phone without looking at who was calling.
Then she heard Lucas’s voice. He was furious.
“Kylie Finch!” Look at what you did! I told you not to get involved with this show! I told you that you would disgrace the company, but you didn’t listen. Now the company is in jeopardy because of you!”
She was shocked. “What did I do?”
“What did you do?! Go search it online. Now I’m telling you, I’m absolutely done being your agent. You can do whatever you want!”
She ran downstairs and logged onto Instagram.
But she couldn’t seem to get on. She tried one more time.
Lucas Jackson was both Khloe and Kylie’s agent. He took good care of Khloe’s Instagram account, but he ignored Kylie’s since she only had about a thousand followers.
When she was not busy, she would sometimes post funny stories, but very few people ever commented.
She was forced to log out again because the text she had posted in Connell was being commented on by more than ten thousand people.
She stopped and looked at all the comments. Then she realized what was happening.
Everyone was trashing her.
Yesterday afternoon, someone had posted a video on Instagram with the title: “Kylie Finch doesn’t need to play a bitch. She is just herself. Look at how she seduces male actors.”
In the video, a man and a woman were walking towards a black BMW. The next moment, the car was shaking seriously.
The camera zoomed in on them, and a strange sound was coming from the car…
Some fans recognized the man in the video as their idol, William Woolf.
A few minutes later, there was another video.
It clearly showed the man in profile…
William Woolf was trying to wipe the black paint from her face, but Kylie grabbed his hand. It looked like she was tightly holding his hand and forcing him to touch her face.
With just a bit of editing, someone had managed to make the video look like Kylie was taking advantage of William Woolf.
The post also said that this was what Kylie Finch was always like. Apparently, she had seduced the producer to land the leading role. But the director knew what kind of person she was, so he hadn’t cast her in the end.
Then the producer had given her a minor supporting role for sleeping with him.
But Kylie couldn’t accept that, so she had started harassing William Woolf, and had even made this video in an effort to threaten him. So, William had had no choice but to play her partner in the show, so that Kylie Finch could get more lines.
William was the person who had posted the second video. He didn’t want anybody else to get hurt, so he’d published the video for everyone to see what kind of woman Kylie really was.
What a coincidence. The text she had posted that day in Connell was: “What you want is not far away.”
William Woolf’s fans were so mad. They pleaded with the managers to replace her. Or they would no longer watch the show.
She was reading all the comments then she received another message. It was from Lucas Jackson.
“Post an apologetic statement to save the company.”
Kylie sneered. “Apologize?”
If any of the other actors and actresses in the company had encountered this kind of dilemma, someone would have taken care of it for them, instead of quitting on them. They would have wanted to minimize the damage, but Lucas…
If she were to apologize, then she would be admitting that it was all her fault.
Her eyes were cold.
She had just run into Khloe at Connell. Then the video came out. There’s no way that it was just a coincidence.
Kylie wanted to ignore Khloe; she wanted her out of her life. But apparently, Khloe was intent on provoking her, so now there was no way that Kylie could back down.
Before she had the time to explain the situation, her husband was standing next to her and reading the crap on her phone.
He took out his phone from his pocket and started searching through his contacts.
Kylie looked and saw him select a name from the list.
It was the CEO of Peak Pictures. She was a capable woman with many resources in the entertainment industry. She had helped many actors and actresses before. There were rumors that she had never received much of an education, but she was still one of the best in the industry.
Kylie took his phone away. “What are you doing?”
“I will take care of it for you.” He looked calm but quietly angry.
She nodded and gave him back his phone. “You should trust me. If I can’t take care of it myself, how can I work in the industry?” she said.
He closed his mouth, and his nose twitched.
Kylie knew that he was still mad. In other words, she thought that he didn’t believe she could handle it by herself.
She held his arm, and they walked downstairs together. “You are such a wonderful husband. I am just trying to be as good as you.”
“I will protect my girl.” He sounded aggressive.
