Ch. 1261..1270: Chapter 1261-1270

Chapter 1261

Barrett looked nothing like Bonnie. However, Falcon kept staring to see if Bonnie was in disguise. Falcon felt distressed as he never expected "Bonnie" to misunderstand his sexuality.

'I like women, but he twisted my meaning. Of course, I'll feel uncomfortable!'

Bonnie crossed her arms and said, "You must miss your old friend so much that you see them in me. Oh, your friend was your boss, right?"

She knew what Falcon was trying to do but did not expose him. Instead, she played along to dispel his suspicions.

“I-I don't miss him. It's just that—” Falcon did not know how to explain himself, so he changed the topic by gesturing for her to look at the door. "Forget about it. We're hosting this party for everyone to relax and have fun.

“Let's go inside, enjoy ourselves, and forget our worries. It's meaningless to stand here and talk, right?"

"I guess so," Bonnie agreed, "Let's head in and see if anything interesting is happening. Go ahead. I'm right behind you."

Falcon could not resist chuckling. "I knew you were worried about seeing something shocking inside! Fine, I'll take the lead if that makes you feel better. I can do that, but Billy will be displeased if he sees you being submissive."

Bonnie readily agreed, "Yeah, Mr. Billy likes his people to have grit."

Falcon glanced at her sideways. "Although you haven't been here long, you already know him well.”

She looked at his curious eyes and

shrugged. "It's not that. I just

understood it by observing youel r all, you're pretty fearleel

n

Everyone loved being praised, and Falcon was no exception. He wanted to test "Bonnie," but his suspicions vanished when he heard that. "Hahaha, I didn't expect you to be such a sweet-talker! No wonder Billy likes you so much."

Bonnie played along and chuckled. "It looks like you like me a lot, too."Chapter

"Of course I do! No one can resist someone as capable as you," Falcon said joyfully. Although he did not realize it, he was also getting closer to "Bonnie." Therefore, he dropped his guard slightly. "Come on, show you how to party. It's time you learn to have fun!"

Falcon opened the warehouse door, and loud music echoed. Bonnie squinted when she saw what was happening inside. 'Did Billy build a huge bar inside his organization? It seems the only people who get to enter are the core members.'

Chapter 1262

Inside, each core member had sexy women in their arms. Since everyone there was from the organization, they behaved lewdly.

Bonnie's eyes brimmed with disdain. Falcon glanced at her and could guess her thoughts. Then, he looked inside and exclaimed, "Hey, guys! It's Barrett's first time attending our party. He's struggling to adjust, so try to rein it in a little, okay?"

Everyone looked over and noticed how pure “Bonnie" looked. They thought she was just a harmless sheep who accidentally entered a slaughterhouse. However, those thoughts only lasted a second. Since Billy valued her, they adjusted their behavior and became more reserved. Billy even said he intended to mentor “Bonnie” to make her his second-in-command. Everyone knew they would suffer if they ignored her feelings, and she told Billy about it.

Meanwhile, Bonnie felt a little more relaxed once everyone calmed down. They even cleared a seat for her and invited her over.

"Over here, Barrett. Have a seat."

"A show that every man loves is about to start. I guarantee you'll love it, too!"

"Mr. Billy prepared it just for you, so have some fun, will you?"

Considering what they said, Bonnie knew they were referring to a strip show. A potent disdain arose in her chest as she said, “I don't like such shows. Please call it off."

No one expected her to be so upfront. They could only exchange looks, not knowing how to respond. That was when Falcon said, "Billy prepared it for you. You'll have to tell him yourself if you don't like it. Complaining to us won't help."

Simultaneously, he gazed at Bonnie, thinking, 'The strip dance is one of the tests prepared for Barrett. Boyd couldn't stand these shows, either. That makes it the perfect way to ensure my old boss isn't disguising himself as Barrett.'

However, Falcon did not expect Bonnie to be so honest. After all, Bonnie's fearlessness reminded Falcon of Boyd.

'I thought Barrett would try to

pretend to like the strip show. I

figured he'd look at us in disgust but not be vocal about it. I guess that would seem like Boyd's infiltrating Billy's organization. However Barrett explicitly said he doesn't like strip shows. I'm not sure what to do now.' Chapter

Suddenly, Bonnie stood up and said, "I'm going to look for Mr. Billy. You said he arranged this show and party for me, right? If that's the case, he has to remove whatever I don't like about the party."

As she approached the door, Falcon motioned to grab her, saying, “Hold on a minute!”

Surprisingly, Bonnie dodged his grasp.

Chapter 1263

Bonnie frowned and questioned, "Are you stopping me from looking for Mr. Billy? You said he threw this party for me, right? I hate strip shows and shouldn't have to watch it."

She said that to dispel Falcon's suspicions. After all, Falcon knew Boyd was wise and mature as a leader. The latter was never impulsive, either. Hence, Bonnie acted recklessly as part of her character as Barret to stop Falcon from getting more suspicious.

As expected, Falcon's curious and suspicious gaze dissipated.

'Considering how Boyd used to do things, he'd never act this recklessly. Now, Barrett's making a huge fuss by wanting to complain to Billy about something he dislikes. That doesn't match Boyd's style at all.'

With that in mind, Falcon smiled and said, “Since you don't like the strip show, I'll call it off. Billy's resting now, so don't bug him.”

Billy had entrusted Falcon to handle the party and only wanted to see the results of the latter's tests. If "Bonnie" went to complain to Billy, he would scold Falcon.

'I can't bother with the drama. I should handle it myself.'

Bonnie raised her brows and asked, "You said complaining to you won't make a difference, right? The others told me to look for Mr. Billy, too. How come you can call the shots now?"

Falcon chuckled awkwardly and said, "We were just pulling your leg. I didn't think you'd take it seriously."

Bonnie was pleased to see him so embarrassed. Instead of arguing, she said, "Okay, cancel the show. I'm not interested in such things."

"All right, I'm on it." Falcon quickly

called one of the henchmen and canceled the show. Then, he looked at her and asked, "Are you happy now?" Chapter

She nodded. "Absolutely."

wn

Falcon pursed his lips, thinking Barrett was more challenging to please than Billy. “Bonnie" had so many requests that it made it harder for him to test her. Falcon could not even tell if she was doing it on purpose.

S

Bonnie subtly grinned when she noticed his reaction.

'Everything's going to plan. After all, I mentored Falcon. He might know me well, but I know him better. I can predict what he'll do next, too. Also, the strip show can't be the only test Billy and Falcon have. There must be something else, but I can't figure it out yet.'

Bonnie collected her thoughts and smiled at Falcon, saying, "Is that the only interesting thing you had planned for this party?"

Chapter 1264

"Of course not! There's more," Falcon responded smilingly, "I threw this party for everyone to have fun and experience exciting things. Why would the strip show be the only event? That'd be boring."

Bonnie was curious as she raised her brow and asked, "Oh, what are the other events?"

"Relax. You'll find out soon enough," Falcon said while winking at "Bonnie" mysteriously.

She said, "Just give it to me straight instead of being so evasive."

"That would take the fun out of everything, that's why." Falcon continued to keep Bonnie on her toes. "It's best to keep things a mystery."

Suddenly, someone opened the door, and he smiled creepily. "Speak of the devil. You're in for a treat now, Barrett.”

'What's that supposed to mean?' Bonnie wondered as she looked toward the stage. The lighting was bright, and all she saw were blurred figures. It seemed they were placing something massive onto the stage.

Once the light faded a little, the scent of blood wafted. Bonnie squinted, and what she saw made her shiver. Several mangled and bloodied people were in a locked cage. They had been tortured before getting put onto the stage.

She always knew Billy was ruthless, even before infiltrating his

organization. However, he typically maintained a degree of deceney. Still, this scene caused a chi to run down Bonnie's spine. Chapter

'Billy lives up to his cruelty. He ordered his men to torture

souls' misery, he keeps thes people. Instead of ending thes

poor

alive.'

Then, she turned to look at the core members and realized they were unfazed. It was as if they had grown accustomed to seeing such gory things.

Bonnie was still thinking when Falcon chuckled and said, "Do you know who those people are, Barrett?"

She played along, asking, "Who are they?"

"They're..." Falcon paused to keep her in suspense. Then, he observed her and said, "...the Nidhoggs."

Bonnie was shocked but did not show it. Even so, she had always cared about and treated those in her organization like family.

Meanwhile, Falcon focused on her

reaction as he told her who those

tortured people were. He wanted to see if Bonnie would launch a rescue mission for her fellow Nidhoggs. However, his plan had failed yet again.

Chapter 1265

Since Bonnie had maintained constant contact with Collin, he would have told her if anyone from her organization had gone missing. That meant those poor, tortured souls were not members of the Nidhoggs.

*Falcon thinks he can make up such stories without me knowing. He should consider himself lucky that they're not my people. Otherwise, I'll torture him the same way he tortured those guys.'

With that in mind, Bonnie asked curiously, "Is that like an organization? Are the Nidhoggs Mr. Billy's rival organization or something?"

Falcon realized "Bonnie" was unaffected by these "Nidhoggs." Instead, she looked curious about them. If she were undercover, she would have lost control of her emotions after seeing how those "Nidhoggs" had been tortured.

'Barrett's too calm about this. Did I misjudge him? Maybe he just shares some similarities with Boyd. They might not be the same person, after all.' Falcon might have thought about it that way but did not jump to conclusions. Instead, he answered with a smile, "That's right. The Nidhoggs are the most wicked organization, and Billy has been trying to defeat them.

“One of our future missions is to help him wipe them out. Considering your skill set, that won't be an issue." Falcon continued to monitor Bonnie as he spoke. Although he was not as obvious about it as before, he never stopped probing her.

Bonnie looked into his eyes and asked, "What did the Nidhoggs do that was so bad? Why do you think they're wicked?"

She looked at him coldly, thinking, 'Everyone treated Falcon so well when he was with us. I never thought he'd betray us and join Billy. What an ungrateful little prick!'

Suddenly, Falcon felt a chill down his

spine. He wanted to continue

slandering the Nidhoggs but

ultimately decided against it. "I can't make eany

more comments on that, but just keep that in mind. The Nidhoggs are Billy's rivals. If you run into them, kill them. Spare no one!"

W!

His eyes brimmed with hatred as he spoke, causing Bonnie to frown.

Calling Falcon an ungrateful little prick isn't enough. People like him are animals-no, he's much worse!'

Falcon sensed the shift in "Bonnie's"

1

emotions. He looked at her and caught a sense of coldness in her, eyes. "What's wrong? You look. uncomfortable. Do you disagree with what I said about the Nidhoggs?"

Bonnie tried her best to suppress her emotions. Even so, some of it spilled out, and Falcon noticed. No one could remain calm after hearing his bold claims, especially not Bonnie. Although she had genuinely mentored him, he talked about Killing everyone in the Nidhogg organization.

Worse, Bonnie spent the same effort on Falcon as with Collin. She never expected Falcon to return her favor with such cruelty.

Bonnie sighed and strained to keep her emotions in check. Then, she smiled and said, "That's not it. I've never seen something so gruesome and just feel sick. Still, I'll take your advice to heart."Chapter

Chapter 1266

"Not bad." Falcon smirked in satisfaction with Bonnie's answer. "I knew Billy liked you for a reason. You're true to yourself."

Bonnie smiled before resuming her usual disinterested look.Chapter

"Now, onto the next event!" Falcon cracked a whip menacingly. "Since Billy wants to make you his second-in-command, what do you think you should do to these Nidhoggs, whom Billy hates so much?"

Bonnie squinted as she thought, 'What an animal! He wants me to whip these poor souls when they're barely clinging to life as it is. If I did that, they'd surely die. I'm trying to dispel his suspicions, but I can't kill innocent people!'

Falcon did not give her a chance to negotiate. He handed her the whip and said, "What's wrong? This will be part of your daily life if you become Billy's right-hand man. If you don't get used to this, you can't handle working for him."

He looked at the stunned "Bonnie" and approached her. He squinted and asked, "Aren't you going to do it? Are you disobeying Billy's orders?"

He stared at her, trying to reveal her true colors. However, she stepped back, knowing what he was trying to do. Then, she grinned, took the whip, and struck it at his feet.

Falcon thought he was about to get hit, so he covered his head and screamed, "Ahh!"

However, he felt no pain. He slowly looked up and saw Bonnie's sarcastic gaze. He thought she looked just like Boyd.

'Boyd used to look like that during

lectures. Now, Barrett looks just like him. A Are they the same person?' Falcon gulped, anxious to confirm his suspicions.

Suddenly, he realized Bonnie no longer looked sarcastic. Instead, she seemed mildly confused when asked, "What's wrong? I only took

the whip from you. Did that took

scare you? You can't be this much of a coward, right?"

Falcon could just sense her mocking tone. He was furious, feeling like she had played him for a fool. Then, he pointed at the people in the locked cages and shouted, "Go on! Teach them a lesson on how tough you are Make them wail and torture them to death!"

His voice brimmed with wickedness to make Bonnie feel bad.

'Barrett shouldn't have made me look foolish! I'll strip him of his innocence and turn him into a twisted man!'

Chapter 1267

Suddenly, Bonnie did something out of Falcon's expectations. Not only did she disobey him, but she even tossed the whip aside, saying, "I refuse." Falcon said in disbelief, "Wh-what did you say?!"

Bonnie looked at him and slowly repeated, "I refuse!"Chapter

Falcon was about to say something when she added, "Are you going to say I'm disobeying Billy? You must want to threaten me with his name again. If so, feel free to tell on me."

Falcon asked coldly, "Aren't you afraid of him, Barrett? Do you have no respect for him?"

Meanwhile, Billy watched everything from the warehouse's second floor. He revealed a menacing smile as he played with the python "Bonnie" had gifted him.

Francesco noticed it and said timidly, "Barrett keeps pitting himself against Falcon. How do you want to handle him now, sir?"

Billy had always hated those who disobeyed and rebelled against him. It was apparent "Bonnie" was one of those people. Although she kept challenging Falcon, she lived on borrowed time, regardless of how talented Billy thought she was.

"Calm down. Let's listen to what Barrett has to say." Billy squinted mysteriously.

Francesco dared not make any more comments. He could only respond respectfully, "Understood, Mr. Billy."

Meanwhile, Bonnie told Falcon, “It's not that I don't respect Mr. Billy. However, my job here is to help him with my intelligence. It has been that way since I arrived. Nothing I do involves getting violent.

"Also, I've never tortured anyone. I

fear it'll traumatize me too much.

You're telling me to whip those people, but it will stress my mind What i tiff can no longer help Mr Billy because of it? Will you be

responsible for making him lose

someone as useful as me?"

Falcon wanted to retort but did not know how. On the contrary, he thought she had a fine point. Such torture and gore would take a toll on the mind, especially for someone as “inexperienced" and "innocent" as "Bonnie."

'It's Barrett's first time coming to our party. I shouldn't force him to partake in such a brutal event.'

Bonnie could şense Falcon's

hesitance. She squinted and

el.fo

stepped toward him, asking, "Why aren't you saying anything? Can bear the responsibility when I become mentally unstable and can no longer work for Mr. Billy? If you have no issues with that,

whip

those people on the stage."

She glanced sideways at Falcon as if to probe him. She knew Billy only wanted her for her capabilities and computer skills. Since that was the case, Falcon would have a hard time explaining himself to Billy if "Bonnie” had post-traumatic stress disorder.

'I knew Falcon would use Billy's name to threaten me, so I'm using his technique against him.'

Chapter 1268

As Bonnie expected, Falcon called her out, "Now, hold on just a minute!"

She grinned and feigned ignorance, asking, “What, did you change your mind again? Do you want me to whip them or not?"

Falcon gritted his teeth, looking like he was trying to say something. However, he did not know where to start. After some thought, he said, “I was just kidding. You don't have to whip them. You can return to your seat now."

'This Barrett guy is bugging the hell out of me! When I finally think I can expose him, he does something that makes me hesitate. I don't know if he's just playing dumb, but how does he keep avoiding my traps?!'

"Oh, okay," Bonnie dragged out her voice, her eyes sparkling with playfulness. "If it was a joke, why are you looking at me like that?”

"What do you mean?" Falcon felt his cheeks, wondering if he had revealed his thoughts through his expression.

"Well..." Bonnie rubbed her chin and grinned. Then, she observed his expression and added, “I can tell you want me to whip those guys. Fine, I'll do it, okay? I don't want you and Mr. Billy to fight. I bet you'll find it hard to explain yourself to him, too."

She thought by saying that, Falcon would stop wanting her to whip those people on the stage.

Falcon felt stumped. It had been long since anyone had made him feel so powerless. He sighed to suppress his frustrations before saying, "Billy won't scold me, but I've changed my mind. You don't have to whip those guys. Just stay put, okay?"

Bonnie grinned again and sat on the couch. "If that's the case, I'll sit right here. Why don't you join me? Aren't you tired of standing?"

Falcon's lips twitched before he strained a smile and said, “All right, I'll join you."

He admitted "Bonnie" was a tough nut to crack. The latter was just too good at making up impossible excuses to refute. Falcon felt drained when dealing with someone as intelligent as her.

'I'm no closer to knowing if Barrett and Boyd are the same people. He's like a concrete wall I can't prate!'

Meanwhile, Billy could not help but

laugh when he heard Bonnie's

response. "Hahaha, I told you

Barrett's a smart guy! Still, he's wiser than I thought. It won't be longe

before we can let him work

on the

chip."

Confused, Francesco said, "Mr. Billy, Falcon told Barrett that the people in the cage are the Nidhoggs. Barrett was unwilling to hit them. Doesn't that make you suspicious? Why would you let him work on the chip?"

Billy glanced sideways at him, saying, "I knew you were dumb, but not this dumb."

"Please enlighten me, sir." Francesco lowered his head, looking like he was eager to learn.

Billy liked his commendable attitude.

He said, "Although Barrett wasnoveldrama

unwilling to whip those guys, it doesn't mean he's a member of the Nidhoggs. Considering the

exelket

backstory Barrett gave us, he has lived a peaceful life and has never Witnessed anything so gory.

"I'd expect him to be scared of whipping those guys. Also, it shows how pure and innocent Barrett is, thereby reducing my suspicions of him being a spy. Otherwise, he wouldn't have feared whipping them."

Francesco nodded. "I get it now, sir."

Chapter 1269

"Mhm," Billy responded with a hint of coldness in his eyes, "Barrett is legit so far, but I won't jump to conclusions yet. Falcon has more tests for him. We'll see how everything plays out before making a final decision."

Francesco looked at his boss with admiration, saying, "You're such an intelligent man, Mr. Billy."

Billy enjoyed hearing that. He raised his chin proudly and said, "Stick with me and learn everything I'm teaching you."Chapter

Francesco nodded. "Of course!"

Since Falcon had failed to probe "Bonnie" again, he reined it briefly. That said, he continued to chat and laugh with her. He also did not show her too much of his emotions. He realized he did not need to rush and calmed down.

'I still have the last test for Barrett, and it's a big one. I'll find out everything I need to know after that.'

An hour later, Falcon wobbled as he stood up, pretending to be drunk. “I'm-burp! I'm wasted and need to sleep."

The others came over to help him, saying, "I'll help you to your room, Falcon."

"You look pretty exhausted. Why don't you head upstairs for a massage?”

"He's wasted. Why are you suggesting a massage? Just get Falcon to his room so he can rest."

The others helped Falcon to his room and forgot about "Bonnie." Only a few core members stayed back and continued chatting in the warehouse.

"I heard things will end horribly for

the Nidhoggs. Not only did we

torture them, but we'll also in

them with drugs later. I wonder if they'll last the night."

"What do you mean? Don't tell me you feel sorry for them."

“Why would I? I'm just trying to strike up a conversation. The Nidhoggs had it coming when they crossed Mr. Billy."

"Yeah, Mr. Billy is the last person they should've offended. The Nidhoggs deserved to be tortured!"

As the others did not intend to be discreet, Bonnie heard everything. She knew they wanted her to hear their conversation. Although the people in the cage were not

elne

members of the Nidhoggs, Bonnie could not help but feel sorry for them.

'They've already suffered so much, yet these guys want to drug them.1 don't know who those poor guys are,

but Falcon's using them to

me.

They're like his lab rats.'

Bonnie wanted to help the tortured men. However, she had to be careful if things did not go as planned. After all, she was in hot water, too.

Suddenly, she heard a series of screams, "Ahhh!"

Chapter 1270

Bonnie could only imagine the hellish torture these people suffered just by hearing their blood-curdling screams. She frowned as she balled her fists. However, she quickly lowered her gaze and suppressed her emotions.Chapter

'Billy's men are cruel and heartless. They're doing all this just to test me. It seems I have more work to do besides retrieving my chip. I'll have to tear down Billy's organization. That'll do the citizens of Yale a favor.'

Falcon was Bonnie's most considerable regret. Nothing could ever compare to him. Hence, she decided to deal with him herself. Suddenly, she heard a broken voice begging for help, "Chief, kill me and end my suffering! Please end my pain!"

The person's anguish caused Bonnie to shiver. She froze and remembered something that happened several years ago. It was her first time taking her men out on a mission.

One of them sacrificed themselves and ended up letting the enemy inject him with an unknown drug. When she escaped and brought another team to rescue the man, his body was already decaying.

The man was in so much pain that he could only roll on the ground and scream. Bonnie remembered the pain he experienced as he begged her to kill him. Despite his grim request, she did not give up on him.

Instead, she brought him back and treated him with the best medicine available. Initially, the man tried to survive. However, he ultimately took Bonnie's gun and shot himself,` leaving a massive emotional scar on Bonnie.

Falcon also witnessed everything and knew how much it affected

Bonnie. That was why he showed "Bonnie" the mangled and bloodied men inthe cage before telling Billy's men to chat about injecting them with drugs.

'Falcon must'ye told these guys to say these things. He did all this to get under my skin. Hmph, what a fucking animal! He has no shred of humanity left in him! He's having fun tearing open my old wound to make me blow my cover.'

S

Bonnie etched these moments into her memories. She wanted to make him pay for everything he did, including his betrayal.

Meanwhile, the supposedly drunk Falcon went to the warehouse's second floor. He stood beside Billy and saw how Bonnie froze. Falcon said excitedly, "We'll soon find out if Barrett's a spy."
