Chapter 371

Ged whispered, “Bonnie, I don’t have anyone else to defend this gym.”

She glanced at the distressed Ged and said, “I didn’t ask if you had enough people. You wouldn’t have asked me for help if you had someone else, right?”

“Umm...”

Although that was true, it did not mean it was pleasant to hear. Ged asked, “Does that mean you can gather some fighters?”

Bonnie pulled out her phone, saying, “Give me a minute. I need to make a few calls.”

“You're calling them now?”

“Of course. All my fellow students are in Pyralis, too—except Maisy, who spends most of her time overseas.”

Ged’s eyes widened. “A-Are they also Master Arturo’s students by any chance?”

“Bingo.” Bonnie was on the phone already. “Hey, Channing. I need help with a five -on-five team fight to defend my friend’s boxing gym. Do you have time to drop by?”

Channing responded, “For you, Bonnie, anytime!”

“Perfect! While I wait for you, I'll call Alfie and the others, too.”

Ged was so happy that he grinned from ear to ear. Meanwhile , Trystan and his gang felt uneasy when they saw how happy Ged was.

“Hey, Trystan. Do you think he managed to gather strong fighters?”

“Do you think he’s the only one who called for backup?” Trystan asked.

His gang looked at him curiously and noticed his confidence. One of them asked, “Did you get some formidable fighters, too?”

“Of course | did! 1 can’t rely on you worthless punks. You couldn’t even deal with a little girl,” Trystan lectured his gang.

‘How dare he call us worthless? He doesn’t even dare to take on Bonnie himself."

Soon after, Trystan’s backup arrived at Ged’s boxing gym. They were shocked but quickly felt better about their chances. The fighters Trystan had called were formidable combat masters. Most of them won numerous championships in fighting tournaments.

“Son of a bitch! That’s cheating! Three of Trystan’s men are combat masters. They’ve won several championships to boot. That's just the trio I recognize. Who knows what the other two have achieved?”

Although Ged caused a commotion, his words did not reflect his thoughts , ‘Your men might be good, Trystan , but can they hold their own against Master Arturo’s students? My guys stand at the top of the combat world!"

Trystan and his gang laughed when they saw how “panicked” Ged was.

Trystan asked, “Where are you guys? What’s taking them so long?”

Bonnie looked at the door and said, “There they are.”

Trystan turned to look toward the door, thinking, ‘We’ll wipe the floor with them."

Immediately after, he became wide-eyed when he saw the team. “What the hell! That’s Master Channing Charles , Master Mike Fury, Master Alfie Ross, Master Fred Creed, and Master Rocky Marcello!”

‘Those guys are the best fighters alive. They leamed shadowboxing from the revered Master Arturo. Although my guys are tough, they’re nothing compared to those five!"

Initially , the fighters Trystan called were arrogant and confident. After seeing Bonnie's fellow students, they became scared and tried to flatter the combat masters.

“What brings you fine combat masters here?”

Channing replied, “Bonnie called us to defend this gym. Did she call you guys, too? Perfect! We'll kick some ass together.”

Trystan’s guys began to sweat as Bonnie clarified , “You got it wrong, Channing. These guys are our opponents.”

Chapter 372

“Oh, so that’s how it is! Then, it'll be a piece of cake. They're no match for us.”

Trystan’s fighters trembled when they heard Channing’s words. They exchanged glances before turning around and fleeing. Trystan realized what had happened and followed suit, yelling after them, “Hey, where are you guys going?! You can’t leave!”

The fighters Lurned and glared al Trystan. One argued, “We came because we consider you our friend. I never thought you’d set us up like this!”

“Why would you pit us against these combat masters, Trystan?! You must want them to beat us to a bloody pulp!”

‘How’s this my fault? Who could've known that seemingly defenseless girl to be one of Master Arturo’s students? I wouldn't have told my guys to cause trouble here if I had known."

Bonnie watched Trystan and his gang leaving the boxing gym and reminded Ged, “They’re getting away. You should stop them.”

“You got it.” Ged chased after them. ‘Where do you think you’ re going?

I’m coming with you. I’ll help you find a bulldozer to knock down your boxing club.”

Trystan turned and lowered his head, saying, “Ged, a wise man once said it’s better to make friends than enemies. Let’s move past this. You seem like a forgiving person. How about I buy you a meal instead?”

Before Ged could reply, Bonnie interjected, “Trystan, was it? If we were the ones who lost, would you have moved past it? T want an honest answer.”

She glared at Trystan so profoundly that he dared not lie to her. He was stumped at that moment.

Bonnie sneered and added, “You wouldn’t have done that. After all, you called your gang to kick us out of the area. You’re the one who picked a fight, lost, and went back on your words. What made you think you could fool us with some old saying and expect us to forgive you?”

Trystan was stumped.

Bonnie turned to Ged and said, “Since this is your boxing gym, you can decide what to do. I’m an outsider, so I won’t say anything.”

Initially , Trystan had almost convinced Ged to Ict things go. The latter was about to be the “bigger man,” but Bonnic helped him sce the truth.

‘People like Trystan aren't worth forgiving!"

“Fuck this! We'll bulldoze their boxing club!”

Trystan’s heart sank, and he was about to say something. However, Ged showed him their signed contract and said, “You won’t weasel out of it this time!”

‘Damn it!’ Trystan glared at Bonnie resentfully. ‘It isn’t over until I say itis!"

Soon after, Warrior’s Way Boxing Club turned into a wreck.

“It's so satisfying, Bonnie! I owe you big time! I know you a litile better now. Not only are you multi- talented, but you’ re also charismatic, especially when helping your friends. I would’ ve let it slide if you hadn't been there. Frankly, you’ve impressed me thoroughly.”

Bonnie smiled faintly. “You’re exaggerating. That’s just how we’re supposed to deal with such situations.”

“Well, it’s getting late. Why don’t I send you home, Bonnie? There was something off about how Trystan glared at you earlier. I’m worried he might do something rash.” Ged thought of Trystan’s glare and felt goosebumps.

“Pll be okay.” Bonnie waved. “They can’t defeat me even if they gang up on me.”

“T know just how formidable you are, but they could be moving in the dark while you're walking in the open. What’ll you do if they sneak up on you?”

“Don’t worry about me. I have to treat my fellow students to dinner later, so they’ll be around. I don’t think Trystan and his gang will dare to do anything funny tonight.”

“Okay then. That makes me feel better.”

Chapter 373

Ged texted Ivor, “Your fiancee is decisive and unyielding! She’s destined for big things in life.”

Ivor confidently replied, “Why do you think I fell in love with her? After all, birds of a feather flock together.”

‘Damn it, Ivor!’ Ged cursed inwardly , ‘I only have myself to blame for bringing Bonnie up. Everyone says we should learn from our mistakes, but I'm a fool who keeps repeating them."

That night, Bonnie finished having dinner with her fellow students.

Channing asked with concern, “How about I send you home, Bonnie?”

“You're doubting my fighting skills by saying that,” Bonnie said playfully.

“I'd never do that. ] heard about how you and Maisie fought and ended in a draw a while ago. Still, | noticed the guys from earlier today were looking at you pretty menacingly. Although they might not do anything to us, you’re still a lady. Sometimes, even the best of us get defeated in an ambush. You understand, right?”

Bonnie nodded and said, “I appreciate your concern, Channing. I understand what you mean, but you guys are busy during the day, yet you came to my aid without question. I'm sure you have responsibilities to tend to tomorrow.

“T don't want to take up more of your time. Also, I already asked someone to come and take me home.”

Channing felt at ease hearing that. Mike added, “Ts he reliable? I mean the guy who’s coming to pick you up. Can we count on him?”

Buzz!

Bonnie received a text. After reading it, she smiled at her fellow students and said, “He’s here—let’s go outside. You'll find out how reliable he is when you see him.”

Soon after Bonnie and the gang left the hotel, they saw an ordinary car waiting for her. She approached the driver’s side and said, “He’s in there.”

She knocked on the window, and her fellow students curiously huddled around the car. They wondered who had come to pick Bonnie up. From her tone, she probably knew the guy well. When the window lowered, they saw Jim’s rugged looks.

“T-Is that Jim Ray?!”

Everyone was stunned, but not because of his fighting prowess. After all, they weren’t necessarily weaker than him. What surprised them was Jim’s profession . Everyone in Pyralis or even Arvandor knew Jim was Ms. Bonita’s bodyguard.

However, he had come to pick Bonnie up and send her home. Of course, her fellow students would be surprised to see him.

“Pll take my leave now, guys. See you around!” Bonnie put her arm out the window and waved at them.

“Bye, Bonnie!”

The group watched as the car drove into the distance. One said, "

Channing, Master Arturo mentioned Bonnie being talented in scientific research, right?”

“Master Arturo mentioned that to me, too. Do you think Bonnie is who we think she is?” After some thought, Channing texted Arturo, “Jim Ray just picked Bonnie up.”

Arturo replied, “What’s wrong with that?”

“Isn’t he Ms. Bonita’s bodyguard? Why would he make such an effort to pick Bonnie up?”

Arturo replied briefly. “You just answered your own question.”

The rest of the group gathered around Channing. ‘They froze when they saw their master’s reply.

Chapter 374

Alfie gasped and exclaimed, “Whoa! I would have never expected Bonnie to be the nation’s leading researcher! She’s Ms. Bonita? Well, I’m proud to be her fellow student.”

“I agree with you wholeheartedly.”

“Me, too!”

“Me, three!”

Meanwhile, Bonnie looked into the rear- view mirror and noticed several cars tailing Jim's. “Huh?”

“What's wrong?” Jim asked puzzlingly.

Bonnie lifted her chin at the rear-view mirror and asked, “Do you notice the cars tailing us?”

“I did, but I thought it was just a coincidence.”

After some thought , Bonnie pointed at a nearby alley and said, “Turn here. Usually, no one passes through it. We'll know if they’re following us if they turn in, too.”

“You got it.” Jim was eager to see who was foolish enough to try something funny with them. Now that he thought about it, it had been a while since he punched someone.

Awhite car followed Jim, and the driver told Trystan , who was in the backseat, “They turned into the alley. Should I keep following?”

“Obviously , you idiot! That bitch ruined my family business. 1 want to show her that she messed with the wrong guy!” Trystan was furious when he recalled his boxing club turning to dust.

Jim looked into the rear-view mirror and said, “Yep, they’re following us,”

Bonnie rubbed her chin and analyzed the situation. “It’s probably Trystan and his gang.”

The white car sped up a moment later and motioned to ram into Jim’s car. It seemed they were going for the kill in the isolated alley. However, Jim had prepared for it. He swerved his car at the last second and avoided the white car.

Suddenly, six cars surrounded Jim and blocked all possible escape routes. Trystan’s gang exited their vehicles and closed on Jim’s. They were even holding weapons.

Trystan barked, “T’ll count to three, and then we'll smash your car if you don’t get out now!”

The driver’s side door swung open, and Trystan froze when he saw Jim.

Although ordinary folks might not recognize the latter, he was a boxing club owner. Naturally, Trystan knew who the King of Combat was.

“M-Master Jim!” Trystan was so stunned that he stuttered . Even his gang looked like they had just seen a ghost.

“In the flesh,” Jim responded. Then, he cracked his neck and knuckles, ready to kick some ass.

Trystan was terrified as he stammered again, “I-It was alla misunderstanding, Master Jim!”

“A misunderstanding , huh?” Jim looked around and said, “You're all armed and tried to ram into my car. You’ve even surrounded me. How is it a misunderstanding? Do I look like a fool to you?”

“N-Not at all, sir! It was an honest misunderstanding. We got the wrong person. Y-You’re not the one we're looking for!” Trystan slapped one of his guys. “You idiot! You told me she was in this fucking car, didn’t you?!”

Trystan slapped the guy so hard that the latter felt dizzy. Feeling helpless and mistreated , the guy said, “I didn’t get it wrong. I saw her getting into this car, and we’ve been tailing her ever since.

“Come on, you know I’m better than that. I've never made such a rookie mistake. I swear I saw her entering this car.”

Trystan knew his guy well. However , the former panicked even more after hearing what the guy said. Trystan slowly turned and looked at the car’s backseat.

Chapter 375

‘Is Bonnie in the car? Then, there’s no doubt that she knows Jim well."

Thud!

Trystan suddenly knelt before Jim, saying, “Master Jim, please have mercy on me. I didn’t know she was your girlfriend!”

Bonnie’s lips twitched when she heard that. Jim responded indifferently, “She’s not my girlfriend.”

Trystan smacked himself when he realized Jim was still upset. The former said, “I was stupid to think she was your girlfriend, sir.

Obviously, she’s your wife. Please forgive me!”

Before Jim could respond, a much more charming and profound voice echoed, “She’s my fiancee.”

Bonnie lowered her window and peeked around the surroundings . As expected, he was there. Meanwhile , Trystan looked at Ivor and noticed how imposing and menacing the latter was. Although he might not know who Ivor was, he could guess how powerful Ivor was.

Trystan almost cried. He would not have challenged Ged’s boxing gym if he knew this would happen. With that, he would not have offended these big honchos.

Bonnie finally exited the car and glanced at Ivor, who was wearing a coat. Then, she looked at Jim, thinking, ‘God, help me. Here we go again.

J Ivor’s expression grew colder when he realized Bonnie did not care to explain anything. He said, “It seems you and Jim are extremely close.”

Bonnie nodded and said, “You’re right. We’re super close. He’s more like my best friend.”

She was so straightforward that Ivor did not know how else to vent his jealousy. Hence, he asked Jim, “When will you finish repaying your debt to her, Master Jim? Since Ms. Bonita is the most crucial person in Arvandor, you should be around her 24/7.

“The nation will suffer a substantial loss if something happens to Ms.

Bonita.”

Jim chuckled and changed the topic, “Are you going to handle them, or should 1?”

Ivor tried to assert his dominance by saying, “I'll do it since you need to prioritize Ms. Bonita’s safety. I'll do my job and protect Bonnie.”

“If that’s the case, 1’1l back off and let you be the knight in shining armor.” With that, Jim entered his car and drove off.

Ivor looked at Floys and said, “I'll leave them to you.”

“Understood, Mr. Ivor.”

When Bonnie entered Ivor’s car, she heard several gut-wrenching screams in the alley. Each scream sounded more desperate than the last.

Soon after, she heard Ivor’s stomach growling. She looked at him and noticed how pale he was.

Bonnie asked, “You didn’t eat anything, did you?”

“I came as soon as I finished work.”

Bonnie knew Ivor had a critical project to work on that day. Otherwise, she would not have asked Jim to pick her up from the hotel.

“You were so busy that you had to skip lunch and dinner? You’re already the richest guy in Pyralis , so your health should matter more than money.”

Ivor was overjoyed to see Bonnie’s concern for him. He said, “I thought you knew | was trying to make more money for my future wife.”

“T don't need your money. I can make my own.”

Bonnie thought, ‘For that matter, 1 might just be wealthier than you."

Suddenly , Ivor stepped on the brake, bringing the car to a screeching halt. Before Bonnie knew it, he leaned closer. She could feel his warm breath on her cheeks, causing her heart to skip a beat. Still, she did not let it show. “Ivor, what’s gotten into you?”

He grinned and said, “You admitted it just now.”

“What are you talking about?”

Ivor's affection slowly chipped away at Bonnie’s calmness.

The former answered, “You just admitted to bcing my future wife.”

Finally, Bonnie noticed it.

Chapter 376

‘I shouldn’t have responded to him without thinking. Still, am I admitting I’m his future wife?"

Honk, honk!

A car behind them honked, bringing Bonnie back to her senses. She pushed Ivor away and said, “Keep your eyes on the road. “Of course, honey!” Ivor was so happy that he forgot that he was hungry.

Bonnie said, “There’s plenty of tasty street food at Appetite Avenue. I'd go there and cat everything if I had the time. Do you like strect food? “Of course I do. I love everything you eat. “Really?” Bonnie raised her brows with a hint of playfulness in her eyes.

“I love eating liver and onions. I don't see you liking something like that. Aftcr some thought , Ivor said, “That’s not truc. I like cating liver and onions, too. “Okay, why do you always watch and not join in whenever I eat that? “Since I love you so much, I want you to have as much as possible. Bonnie’s eyes glinted with humor as she said, “That makes me feel sorry for you. I’ll buy some liver and onions for us tomorrow. You know what? I'll let you have all of it. After all, you did the same for me. Ivor did not know how to respond. His stumped expression amused Bonnie.

Soon after, the couple reached Appetite Avenue.

They stopped at a barbeque stall, and Bonnie said, “I'll have ten grilled squid skewers, please. Make them spicy, okay? Ten minutes later, she gave some to Ivor and said, “Bon appetit. Ivor looked at the grilled squid with onions, which made him lose his appetite.

He asked, “Why don’t you have a taste first? Bonnie rolled her eyes at him, saying, “Are you worried they’re poisonous? You know whal? I won’t argue—I'll just eat it. She took a bite and savored thenoveldrama

taste. “Mmm, it’s the best place to go for grilled squids. Come one, have some! She handed Ivor the remaining pieces, and he bit into the piece she had just bitten. Bonnie said, “I just ate that part, Ivor. “1 know that,” Ivor said before taking another bite.

“What do you think? It’s good, right? “Mmm... It’s delicious because you ate it. Bonnie sighed, not knowing what else to say.

Later, Floyd entered Ivor’s room, and the latter asked, “Did you finish handling those guys? “Of course I did.” Floyd paused momentarily and then asked, “I thought you said Master Jim and Ms. Bonnie could never be a couple. I vividly remember you claiming he doesn’t love her that way, Mr. Ivor.

What that in mind, why do you get jealous of Master Jim? Ivor replied solemnly , “I might know they’re not a couple, but Jim is still aman. Put yourself in my shoes. Can you handle it if your wife’s best friend keeps showing up around her?

“Um...”

Floyd scratched the back of his head. “I don’t have a wife ora girlfriend. I can’t understand how you feel, Mr. Ivor. He felt his boss’s pitiful glance and got upset, thinking, ‘He’s been single his whole life and only recently fell in love with Ms. Bonnie. Also, he hasn’t even won her heart yet.

Ms. Bonnie hasn't even accepted him as her boyfriend for crying out loud."

Floyd kept his thoughts to himself. He knew he might not live to see another day if he said it out loud.

Ivor asked, “Did you do what I asked you to do last time?

Chapter 377

“Of course, Mr. Ivor. I sent someone to watch the film set. I’ll tell you when Bonnie goes there. “Good job, Floyd. The following day, the director invited Bonnie to ask about the open casting. Since she was the novel's author, and the characters were hers, Bonnie would be lying if she said she did not care about the casting.

Naturally, she agreed to meet him.

That afternoon, she went to the film sct and bumpcd into somcone from her past. Trina was as surprised as Bonnie. Moreover , the former had a bad feeling about their chance encounter.

After some thought, Trina approached her former stepsister and asked, “Are you here for the female lead role, too, Bonnie? ‘I probably won’t stand a chance if Bonnie’s also after the lead role.

She’s just too beautiful, after all."

“No, I'm not,” Bonnie replied dryly.

“Oh, are you just trying to catch me off guard?” Trina did not believe Bonnie because the open casting for the female lead role was today. She thought it could not be a coincidence that she ran into Bonnie now.

Bonnie hated it whenever people doubted her. She smirked and said, "

You got me there. I'm here for the audition. ‘Damn it! She’s here for the lead role, after all!"

Trina began to panic as she asked, “Aren’t you already rich? You don’t need this role, do you? Bonnie replied indifferently, “That’s none of your business. She tumed and left immediately after,

unwilling to waste a second more on Trina. The latter gritted her teeth and chased after Bonnie, saying, "

Bonnie, this role is huge for me. It’ll help my future. Can you please skip the audition? Bonnie stopped and casually looked at Trina. “I thought | was clear about it, Trina. We’re strangers to each other, even if we cross paths. If you're going to keep bugging me, I’ll get you kicked out of Pyralis University again. Then, your future will be utterly ruined. Her words were so intimidating that Trina paled.

Bonnic continued to walk away, ignoring her former stepsister . Soon after, Bonnie saw Nancy approaching. Nancy offered Bonnie a cup of bubble tea and said, “Mr. Orpheus told me you love bubble tea, so | bought you one. I hope you like it, Ms. Bonnie. Bonnie took the bubble tea and saw the guilt in Nancy’s eyes.

‘Nancy must’ve waited for me here for a long time."

Noticing Bonnie’s silence, Nancy explained, “Th-the bubble tea is fine, I swear! I can take a sip if you don’t believe me. As she motioned to do it, Bonnie stopped her and said, “I thought you said you bought it for me. I can’t drink it once you've sipped it, right? Nancy became misty-eyed. She stammered, “Th-thank you. “You have it backward , Nancy. I should be thanking you for the drink.

Thanks for being so thoughtful,” Bonnie responded warmly.

Nancy was moved when she saw how friendly Bonnie was. Then, the former noticed Trina glaring at Bonnic and asked, “Do you know that lady over there, Ms. Bonnie? Bonnie did not have to turn around to know who Nancy was referring to.

She said, “‘She’s one of the Shepards. Her name's Trina. Nancy’s eyes widened with shock when she heard that.

Chapter 378

‘Is Trina the rumored stepsister ? I heard she was gentle and graceful , but she looks like she wants to kill Bonnie."

Nancy pitied Bonnie, saying , “That reminds me. My stepsister is just like Trina. Bonnie turned to look at Trina. After some thought, Bonnie asked, “Is your stepsister also a hypocrite? Nancy answered, “Well, it’s certainly not because they look alike. She and Bonnie exchanged glances and giggled. Since the duo experienced a similar past, they knew what each other had gone through.

Meanwhile, Trina wondered what the duo was talking about.

‘What are those two giggling about? I can’t explain it, but I’m sure they’re making fun of me."

Bonnie and Nancy grew much closer to each other. ‘rhe former patted Nancy’s shoulder and said, “Although I’m the author of this novel and have a way to give you the lead role, I feel that’s the last thing you want me to do. If | understand you well enough, you’d prefer to fight for your merits. “Mhm!” Nancy nodded in approval. She determinedly said, “I’m only asking for a chance, not to rig the game. Bonnie had a newfound respect for Nancy after hearing that.

Soon after, the audition began. Trina was nervous, even though she had prepared herself for it. However, her confidence shattered when she heard Bonnie was also here for the audition.

Ultimately, Trina could not even perform to her usual standard. Even so, she did not fee] too bad about herself because she knew how beautiful Bonnie was. Trina simply stood no chance at the lead role, even if she had performed well.

“You may leave, Ms. Trina.” The director waved her off coldly. He whispered to the producer, “She couldn't remember her lines. How dare she come for the open casting. She must’ve thought we

wouldn’t lake this seriously. Is she looking down on us? The producer responded, “She must've thought she could land the role by relying on her looks. She assumed we'd overlook her inability to temember her lines because her looks would dazzle us. Also, she might think she can rely on dubbing. “That's low. What does that girl take the studio for? What does she take me for? I’m one of the best directors in Pyralis, damn it. I can’t believe she underestimated us. Give me her file. ] want to know who she is and ban her from our studio cntircly. Trina was still within earshot at that moment. Although the director and producer were whispering , they were still pretty audible . Hence, Trian overheard their whole conversation.

She gritted her tecth and balled her fists, thinking, ‘It’s all Bonnic’s fault! I wouldn’t have felt so nervous if it weren’t for her! She’s the reason I humiliated myself! Since that’s the case, the director and producer emphasize acting skills more than looks.

‘Honestly, I don’t think Bonnie can act even if her life depended on it. If she could, Mom and Dad wouldn't have disowned her."

Ultimately , Trina decided she was not in a hurry to leave. Instead, she stood aside and awaited Bonnie’s turn to audition.

Since Bonnie had just seen Trina’s embarrassing audition, the latter thought it was only fitting she saw Bonnie’s as well. Trina even prepared her phone to start recording Bonnie’s audition . The former intended to upload it to the internet to humiliate Bonnie.

Half an hour passed, but Bonnie’s turn never arrived . Instead , Nancy stepped forward to audition, and Bonnie cheered for her, “Give it your all, Nancy. You can do it. “All right!” Nancy took a deep breath and started acting.

Bonnie felt satisfied with her performance. Nancy had memorized her lines well and portrayed the female lead role flawlessly.

‘I knew Nancy would be perfect for this role!"

“Marvelous!” The director instinctively applauded Nancy. Afterward, he stood up and approached Bonnie.

Trina wondered what was happening.

‘wasn’t the director praising Nancy? Why is he approaching Bonnie instead?"

Chapter 379

The director humbly asked, “Ms. Bonnie, what do you think about Nancy? Did she portray your character well enough? Trina watched as everything went down and overheard what he told Bonnie. The former was shocked. Even an ordinary person could tell Bonnie was the author of the novel they adapted into the television drama.

Trina remembered the author's name as Jane Austin, a highly prolific author.

‘Bonnie is Jane Austin! That explains why she's so rich! She doesn't have a sugar daddy, after all. She’s already the wealthiest author on earth! Sheesh! Trina remembered something else that was essential.

‘Bonnie lied to me! She didn’t come for the audition!"

Bonnie smiled at Nancy and told the director, “I already knew she would nail the female lead role. Still, 1 couldn't just say that aloud. I didn’t want it to affect your judgment. ‘You’ re an excellent judge of character, Ms. Bonnie! It’s decided— Nancy’s our gal!” The director called Nancy over and shook her hand. "

I’m sure we'll work together perfectly. Nancy joyfully cried as she said, “Th-thank you, sir. I have you to thank, too, Bonnie."

Bonnie handed her some tissues and said, “You fought for that role and earned it. You don’t have to thank anyone but yourself.

Nancy said sobbingly, “Although you say that, Tatiana would have still been abusing me now if you hadn’t shown up when you did.

“All right, enough crying. You’re the female lead, and we’ll start shooting soon. How will you do that if your eyes are swollen from crying?

“Bonnie makes a fine point. Go home and get some rest, Nancy. We'll see you tomorrow and sign the contract to make everything official.

“Okay!” Nancy wiped her tears and asked Bonnie, “Hey, are you free tonight? I’d like to buy you dinner. Bonnie did not want to reject her offer, so she said, “Sure thing. As the duo motioned to leave the set, Trina took off after them, furious.

“Bonnie, you’re too much! You didn’t come here for an audition like you said! Why did you lie to me? Bonnie shook her head and said, “I swear, Trina. You always hit a new high of idiocy and shamelessness whenever you open your mouth. How can you be so bold? You’re the one who bugged me about whether or not I came for an audition.

“I told you I wasn’t, but you didn’t believe me. Instgead, you kept bugging me. I had no choice but to say yes. Trina’s breathing became uneven as her anger boiled within her. At that moment, Bonnie brushed past her.

Trina suddenly yanked Bonnie back, roaring, “You’re not going anywhere! You just don’t want me to succeed in life, so you lied to me!

Why did you agree to come to Pyralis when my parents offered to bring you here? They’re my parents, and they raised me. You had no right stealing their love from me!”

Nancy balled her fists and bit her lips. She saw Trina as a spitting image of her hypocritical stepsister.

Nancy said, “I know I’m an outsider , but I can’t stand this. You’re the one who snatched Bonnie’s parents and their love from her. What makes you think you’ re the Shepards’ rightful daughter?!”

Nancy was the same as Bonnie. The former was the rightful daughter of the Church family. However, her father disowned her.

Trina shoved Nancy’s face out of the way and retorted, “Who the hell do you think you are?! You have no right to poke your nose into my family affairs!”

If Bonnie had not caught Nancy in time, the latter would have fallen to the ground. Bonnie tumed grim as she took her phone and made a call, "

Russell, it’s me, Bonnie. | need you to expel Trina from Pyralis University with immediate effect.”

Trina froze in shock when she heard that.

Chapter 380

“No! Bonnie, you can’t do that! You have no right!” Trina yelled hysterically.

Bonnie casually said, “I did it because I can. If you’re dissatisfied , you can always call the university president and ask him to expel me, too. “You know I can't!” Trina pointed at Bonnie tremblingly. Trina turned ted with rage before passing out.

Nancy stared at the fainted Trina and then at Bonnie with a newfound respect . However , there was also a hint of confusion in Nancy’s eyes.

She said, “You’re so good at this that you even made your hypocritical stepsister pass out. I don’t get why the Shepards disowned you, Bonnie. Bonnie responded truthfully, “You might not believe it, but I’ve exposed Trina’s lies and true colors in front of my parents countless times. Still, they continued to believe her blindly. They even started thinking 1 forged evidence to set Trina up. That’s how my ‘bad reputation’ came around. Nancy’s heart ached for Bonnie. Unable to suppress her emotions, Nancy patted Bonnie’s back.
