Ch. 151..155: I Will Never Be Yours Chapter 151-155
Chapter 151
Kian POV:
I was sitting inside my office and talking to Owen and my father, he arrived just a short moment after Selena portaled away to her pack. I knew she had to go alone but I instantly got a nagging feeling something was going down today and I picked her link up the moment she reached out to me.
She manages to say something strange where going on at their pack before the link where cut, my stomach dropped the instance and tried to reach her again, but nothing!
“Call Declan or Cannon!” right away I boom out to my father and pick up my phone to call Selena’s office, the moment I have dialed the number it doesn’t connect and I can feel how all my blood is leaving my head.
“It has started! They are under attack right now!” I say and drop my phone on my desk and get up on my feet.
“What are you saying? Right now?” my father asks when I push the chair back.
“Yes! Call the other packs and get more men over there and have our guards watch our borders, I’m heading over there right now!” I say in a hurry to my father while starting to rush out the door, don’t have time to wait for anyone, need to get to her right this minute!
“Wait for a second Kian, you need men with you, there could be a problem on the way!” my father says when he and Owen get up on their feet.
“I’m leaving half of my men here to help watch your borders, the rest will follow us over there!” Owen says and pushes by me before he reaches the door.
“We will wait for you outside the front door!” he says and quickly walk out of my office.
“Make sure the other packs we have as allies know how serious this is and have them over here and her pack right away!” I say and take a last look at him when I turn for the door again.
“A large group of our warriors will wait for you at the borders and come right behind you! Take care Kian and come back with your mate!” he says when I leave
out the door and run down the hallway until I reach the front doors, pushing them. open I find Owen and his men standing right outside and by the look of it he brought around a hundred vampires to help with the fight. He said he came here prepared and he didn’t exaggerate!
“We are ready when you are!” Owen says and I give him a nod when I see my old father’s Beta and Gamma come running in their wolves to where we stand, they shift right in front of me.
“Half of the Vampires are staying to protect the borders, more men will come from the closest packs, make sure to guard the borders against every direction!” I say and walk past them over to where Owen is standing.
“I will run ahead just follow!” I say and take a step before shifting and shredding my clothes, turning my head I see they are ready to go and I take off in the direction of the borders.
“I have reached the closest pack they will take off right away and meet you on the way!” my father mind links while we run toward the borders.
“Alright!” I say and cut the link when I see about fifty of my men standing in wolf form by our borders, I’m not sure if this will be enough by far.
When Owen came to my office today he explained they had managed to get four of his vampire men inside the rogue camp and the rogues believe they are on their side, it’s because of them he got some
insider information when they told him they are about four hundred men in the rogue camp and about sixty vampires have joined them.
Yesterday morning he got a note saying they are ready to attack their target and only waited for the right moment to hit Selena’s pack, I guess they waited until she where there!
If he had told me this yesterday when he gave my father the notice they were coming over I would never have let her go there.
“More men will meet us on the way, follow behind us!” I mind link the warrior in charge when I run right past them and head towards the outskirts of the kingdom, we have to pick up our pace to get there as fast as possible.
“We have more men coming from the other side of our borders, they will follow our trace!” he mind links back before I cut the link and run faster into the woods, I don’t know what’s going on over at her pack but the barrier should keep them safe inside until we arrive.
Trying once more to mind link her but she doesn’t pick it up, it only has me more worried they somehow have a way to get through to her.
Running for a while we reach a far bit into the woods when a scent hit my nose of rogues and I know they aren’t far away from here, we are no way near the cave or where they usually run past them which means they have come here only for one. purpose. Stopping in my track I shift so I can talk to Owen when he is fast beside me instead.
“They are close!” he says and I give him a nod when the rest comes walking up behind us.
“Yes, they are, we have to spread out and cover a bigger area!” I say when he starts to order his men and I shift to my wolf. He starts to run beside me when we make our way forward at a steady pace, it
doesn’t take long before we see a large group. of rogues standing ahead of us.
The moment they spot us they instantly take off toward our direction, I have my eyes locked on the one I believe is in charge of the group and head for them.
We have to take them out quickly, I have to get over to Selena as fast as possible.
Reaching the group we are attacking them from every way and it doesn’t take long before we have manages to take them all out, shifting I turn around to see how many we have lost! By the sight of it there isn’t anyone dead but some severely injured, walking over to Owen when I hear some running from behind us and the other group has reached to where we are.
“This was only a small group and I bet we will run into more on the way, I suggest we divide ourselves into three groups and run from different directions to attack them!” I say and look when there are more running to my side and by the smell of it, another pack has arrived. Their Alpha shift when they reach over to where we are, there is no time to waste and I quickly explain the plan when we shift and start running again in three groups mixed with wolves and vampires.
Running through a thick part of the forest we run right into a big group of rogues and by the look of it they knew we were coming and from what direction, my eyes. instantly fall on the big gray wolf in the middle.
I already know who he is and the one I’m coming at, he is the target to take out!
Our eyes meet and I get a second to react before he sprints over and attack me!
Right now he stands between me and my mate but that won’t be for too long!
Chapter 152
Selena POV:
The man in front of us knows before the barrier is moved back what’s going to happen and he turns his head and look right at me, an evil smile is spread on his lips when our eyes meet.
“You couldn’t keep us out any longer!” he says and start laughing when there is a movement to the side and I see several of the rogues start to run that way, turning my head I see a group of wolves running to fight the rogues, I don’t recognize the wolves and they come from a different direction we don’t have any pack close to but this is our only chance.
“Get ready!” I shout out to my pack members just before the barrier is drawn back to the second line in a much smaller area, now nothing is standing against us, and the rogues we have to fight!
“Get them!” the man barks out when the rogues and vampire start to move at a fast pace to where we are.
Both Declan and Cannon stand in front of me when I have several of my men close by, Jessie takes off with Jaden and Zoey accompanied by several others.
The fight is taking off right away and several come to attack us where we stand, the man takes slow strides forward as if no one can touch him, and with every attempt on him he easily takes out by snapping his hand and they get a flight through the air and falls to the ground a far bit away.
His eyes are locked on mine and never once does he take his gaze away from me!
I want to reach out and find Kian where he is but I know if I do I will be an easy target, taking a deep breath I let my gift sizzle under my skin and swirl around in my veins ready to defend us!
I see Cannon take a leap when he has ripped the throat out of the closest rogue and aim for the man, he doesn’t make it far when he gets blasted away and lands a far bit to the side. I try to look for my men and how it goes but still keep looking at the man for every step closer he takes, I know he will be at my throat soon.
All around me is the fight going on, whimpering and growls are heard around us, and before I get more time to take the situation in I’m drawn into an energy that starts to suck my energy out of my body, snapping my head in his direction I pull my energy back into my body and try to get my walls up, but he is quick and instantly place a strange heavy energy over me that makes it hard for me to fill my lungs up with air.
I try to push it off me when he is right in front of us and in slow motion I see him flick with his hand and Decland with my men end up flying to the side, taking a step back when he starts to place more weight over me and I hardly can’t stand up any longer, I have to fight back!
Forcing my walls up I try to push him off me and right now there isn’t anyone else around us, I have to fight him alone!
The warning to not let my children get exposed to dark magic goes on repeat in my mind and by this, I can’t let him take my energy from me.
Trying to force his weight off my back I have to use my strength and raise my head to look at him before I push some energy out and blast at him, he doesn’t even flinch!
Seeing Jessie comes running towards us from the corner of my eyes I’m about to tell her to stop, there is no point in trying to get him. Before she has reached over to where I am he pulls up a wall all around us, I can see the fight going on outside but no one is going to be able and get inside here where we are, I’m trapped inside with him!
“Finally, alone!” he says and tilts his head to look at me with his wicked smile. I don’t bother to answer him anything back when I see Jessie run for the wall but bounce back the moment she hits it, I’m trapped inside and there is no way out except taking him down!
I hear her roar out in anger for not being able to help me but in this case, it’s for the best she can’t do anything against him, and my options are small without being able to shift!
I feel him start to steal my energy from me and I try to fight him, cutting him off and pulling my walls high up to keep him out when I see him lift his hand in the air and my air gets cut in my throat.
I can’t get anything down or out! the airways are cut off completely, falling to my knees I try to fight it, I have to think of something quick!
“Let’s see how long you can hold your breath!” he says when I feel my gift sizzling under my skin and something happens when it moves down to my womb and place a shield around them, protecting them from the dark magic and I know what I need to do now, only hope it will work!
Lifting my head I pull on his magic and let it get drawn inside my body bit by bit, it’s cold and strong when it starts to intervene with my energy, it’s addicting and I love the feeling when I start to suck his magic out of him!
The pressure on my throat vanishes and I can take a deep breath and let the air fill my lungs, looking at him he has a surprised look on his face before he starts to laugh.
“Oh, you only make it easier for me!” he says and blasts me back a bit so I fall on my back, hearing Emma scream at the top of her lungs I turn my head where I lay on the ground and look at her. She is looking right at me behind from a distance when I get blasted with his magic and it hits me right in my stomach.
I feel how my walls crack when he hit me again and even if I try to block him out his dark magic start to sip into my belly, I scream out in pain when it begins to swirl inside and move down to our children. I try to block him out with everything I can but he is too strong!
Holding my arms over my belly I try to push his magic out of me and save them, but even with how hard I’m trying I can’t get it out the closer it gets to my womb, the magic feels colder and I hear him laugh out loud.
Placing all my strength on my walls and trying to protect our children I feel how it moves to my womb and something snaps when it reaches them!
Chapter 153
Selena POV:
I lay on the ground and try to feel my babies, did he kill them?
I feel my energy get pulled down to my womb before it blasts his magic back out in my veins and tears run down my cheeks, I feel her energy wrap around them both and push his away with a fast speed. Our baby girl has saved them both from his dark magick by somehow pulling on mine, my precious girl! How is it even possible?
He tried to kill them and when I couldn’t keep his magic out from reaching them she somehow pulled on mine and pushed it away from them, she saved them both and he won’t get away with this! I will rip him to pieces because of this, he tried to kill our children!
His magic is swirling around in my veins, this time I welcome it and pull new strength from it instead, our children are safe with what she did and now it’s time for their mother to fix this!
His magic gets mixed with mine and every nerve in my body gets recharged and filled with strength, closing my eyes and breathing in I open my eyes and see the air around us is covered with a red light and I know it’s his magic. Getting up on my hands and knees I slowly rise and lift my eyes to look at him before holding my hands out and pulling every bit of his energy from the walls around us, he will get it all back!
Looking at him he stands there with a smug smile on his lips like he doesn’t believe I can harm him.
“Oh, did I hurt your children!” he says and that has my anger to break when I blast him with every bit of my energy over him, holding him in place when I see his expression change and he tries to fight me
back. I’m too angry and welcome his every attempt to blast his magic on me, I’m like a sponge and suck up every bit he blasts at me and uses it to fight him back.
“You will not harm my children or anyone else in my pack! I will kill you for this!” I scream back at him and place more of my strength over him to force him down on his knees, he is stronger but by the rage, I feel for all this he will not walk away from here alive!
“Selena!” I hear Emma scream behind me when I feel her standing there with one of the witches, the walls around us start to shake violently before they begin to crack. The sound it makes has my vision to start spinning when I feel another energy pull out to help me with mine, turning my head slightly I see the witch push her energy into mine from a crack behind, feeding it with new strength!
Pulling on it I let it swirl and mix with mine and his magic, I’m strong and full off power this way, it’s addicting and I want more! My gift demand more!
“it feels good doesn’t it!” I hear him say and looking at him he tries to get up fight me when the walls around us start to shake worse before they go down in a loud bang, leaving me standing with him in front of me and the fight going on around us. I hear whimpering and screams from every direction, my pack members are hurt and several of the rogues lie on the ground, everyone is fighting!
Hearing him start to chant something in front of me I take all my strength and the ground starts to shake before I blast away all I can over him and send a shock wave over the fight around us, giving my pack a chance to get the upper hand when the rogues are temporary down on the ground. I know it won’t take long before they are up again!
“Was that all you could do!” he says and gets up from the ground he was laying at and blast me down on the ground again, I almost emptied my strength and have to draw from his and the witch behind me to get some more, I know she doesn’t have much left and right now it comes down to him and me.
Pushing off the ground I sit on my knees and pant, I’m not going to be able and keep this up much longer!
I have no strength to get up and once he blasts me again I suck it up in my body and push off the ground to stand right in front of him instead, I hear the witch fall to the ground behind me and I knew she gave me all she could!
Trying to pull more of his strength from him until he stops me and I can’t get more when he gets ready to blast me again, I take the opportunity to blast him back before he can do anything and hold him in place when I slowly take a step forward.
He sits up when I get my chance and pull on his magic, blood starts to run down his nose when he looks at me with yellow eyes and starts to chant something I can’t understand!
Emma screams behind me when I feel pain in my stomach and wrap my arms around it, I don’t know what’s happening and what I can do when I fall to my knees
and try to brace myself from the pain. I can’t let him hurt them!
In a pure rage, I start blasting him over and over again with my energy until he starts bleeding everywhere in his face, from his eyes and he spits blood out of his mouth.
I hear him laugh a wicked laugh when he turns his head and looks at me.
“You will never be free of me!” he says and keep laughing when I see a big black wolf comes running over to where we are and I almost sob when I see it’s Kian, he instantly aims right for him and everything goes so fast when he rips his head off before he rips his body to pieces.
I know the fight is going on around us but it’s blurred out when I try to feel for our children and what he did to them.
I feel them, they are there but he did something I know it!
A hand comes to my shoulder when I get shaken, I can’t focus on what is going on around me, I have to find out what happened!
“Selena!” I hear Emma’s voice from afar when I’m lost in myself
“What did he do!” I hear myself say while I try to feel what’s different, it’s there but I can’t figure out what it is!
“Selena, you have to go to Michael right now!” she says and shakes me harder, it has me snapping out of my trace, she is right I have to go!
Raising my head she is behind me and helps me stand up when I see Kian and the rest fight the rogues and vampires, I can’t stand here and fight with them I have to get to Michael instead. If I’m going to be able and save our children I have to go. and leave the rest to fight without me!
Opening a portal to my side I take a quick look and try to see our pack members before walking inside the portal with the help of Emma, making sure it’s closed behind us when we walk through.
I hope there is something Michael can do to help, I can’t lose our children!
Chapter 154
Selena POV:
It’s hard to leave them behind but I have to get some help for our children, I hope they will make it without me there to help them.
“Michael!” Emma screams out the moment we step out of the portal and reaches over to his door, he is right by our side and others come running when they help me inside the house and place me down on the couch.
“She couldn’t stop him before he throw a curse on her!” I hear Emma say while I try to feel again what’s wrong, she feels weaker than before and a sob leaves my lips when Michael places his hands on my belly. I feel him draw the pieces of his black magic out of my body and clean my energy before he pushes it back inside me again.
“Get the potion from the kitchen sink, I have two bottles ready!” Michael orders out and I hear some quick steps leaving his living room before the person comes rushing back quickly to where we are, Michael helps me sit up a bit before he places the bottle to my lips. Opening my mouth and swallowing the content in one go before he places the next one on my lips and once I swallow the content it feels like my blood is about to boil in my body, I know the potion Is there to help but it’s painful!
Sweat starts to form on my forehead and I keep my mouth shut close from screaming the pain out when it swirls around in my body, reaching my womb when it feels like my body explodes and now I can’t hold it in. Falling back on the couch I scream out at the top of my lungs before black dots start to dance in front of my vision and even how hard I try to fight it I can’t and at one point I give up and let the darkness suck me down.
I have no idea for how long I have been laying unconscious on the couch when I feel a wet cloth placed on my forehead, I try to feel what’s going on in my body when it feels a bit lighter even if I know whatever it was it’s still there Michael couldn’t get it away!
“How do you feel?” I hear Emma’s voice and slowly open my eyes to look up at the ceiling, the sun is still up but I have a feeling it’s already in the afternoon and I have been unconscious for several hours. I sigh and turn to look at her where she sits on a chair beside me with a concerned look on her face.
“The babies?” I say and feel tears prick behind my eyelids when she takes my hand in hers.
“They are both here! Your little girl saved them both but he hasn’t been able to take the curse away, they are doing everything they can to try and find out what he did. The potions he gave you have helped to strengthen them both!” she says when a sob leaves my lips, I couldn’t keep them safe from him.
“Whatever it was that happened we will figure it out!” she says while I wipe away my tears.
“Have you heard anything from the rest?” I say when I manage to talk again.
“Yes, I talked to Cannon before and they won! The rogues fled once the rest of the warriors got there, the shock wave you sent out gave them the upper hand they needed!” she says and gives my hand a squeeze
“How many died?” I ask her when I sit up on the couch instead and let her hand go, placing my hand on my stomach I feel some movement inside my belly, I only want to know they are safe.
“Some of the warriors didn’t make it and their mates died shortly after them!” she says and hangs with her head. I know if it were one of our closest men she would be crying right now, but she doesn’t and I know they survived the fight.
“How do you feel?” I hear Michael say from behind me and turn around to look at him where he stands with a cup of tea in his hand when he walks around the couch and hands it to me.
“What’s wrong with the babies?” I ask him and see him exchange looks with Emma when she takes a seat beside me on the couch instead and places her arm on my shoulder.
“I think you should portal Kian over here! I want him to be by your side when we talk about it!” she says and I hear pain in her voice when I turn my head and look at her.
I sigh and place the cup down on the table in front of us, this isn’t any good news they will tell us and I want Kian to be beside me for this.
Getting up from the couch I search for him and once I find where he is I open a portal in front of him, it doesn’t take many seconds before he comes running out of the portal and once he sees me he is quick over and wrap me up in a hug.
“Selena!” he says and holds me tight when I break down in a sob in his strong arms, he stands there with me for a long moment and holds me before he starts to talk again.
“How do you feel? Is everything alright?” he asks with worry in his voice, a lump is formed in my throat and I have a hard time swallowing.
“He threw a curse on our children, they don’t know what it was and can’t fix it!” | say when he let go of his hold on me and looks down on me instead.
“We will figure it out!” he says and place a kiss on my forehead.
“We wanted you to be here for what we have to tell you!” Emma says behind us and I look up at him when he wipes away the tears from my cheeks.
“Come let’s talk in the kitchen!” Michael says and I hear them walk away when Kian holds me close to him for a moment, wrapping my arms around his waist I let him hold me.
“You are not alone in this and we will figure it out, love! I will not give up until we find out and can fix it!” he says before letting me go and place his arm around my waist instead and start pulling me with him out to the kitchen.
Coming inside the kitchen Michael has fixed some tea and Emma is carrying the cups over to the table and placing them down when we walk over and takes a seat, my mind is a mess!
All I can think about is what kind of curse he placed on me and what they will tell us, I haven’t asked him anything about what has happened since we left the pack and who is there and make sure it’s safe for the rest.
Both Emma and Michael take their cups and walks over to the table when they take a seat, I lean my head against Kian’s shoulder when he places an arm around my shoulders and pull me closer.
“We both have seen the same thing and there was nothing you could do to prevent it from happening!” Emma says and looks at us when I see Michael look between us.
“We have seen you go through the whole pregnancy, but once the children are born we see your son clearly but we don’t see your daughter!” he says and when the words leave his mouth my heart stops beating
Chapter 155
Selena POV:
What do they mean they don’t see her? I can’t understand what they try to tell us, my mind is a mess when I hear Kian speak up instead of me.
“What do you mean you don’t see her, is she going to die?” he says and tears start to prick behind my eyelids, I can’t lose her!
“That’s one of the things! We don’t see her die, but we don’t see her live either! I know this is hard to understand and we only know whatever he cursed you with she has taken it all. Your son will live and thrive but there isn’t anywhere we see her!” Michael says and I lean forward and place my head in my hands when I feel Kian rub my back.
How could this be and what curse did he use
“I don’t understand! How can she be alive and at the same time not!” I say after a moment and raise my head and look at them. To me a person is either dead or alive you can’t be anything in between!
“We don’t know yet!” Emma says
“We both saw him throw a curse at you before it happened and I tried to learn you how to block it out, but let me tell you with the way his curse is you could never have prevented this from happening. He knew something we do not know about and if we don’t find any notes from him about what kind of curse he used or anyone else knows we can’t remove it!” Michael says and I lean back and turn my head to look at Kian, he looks between them and is in deep thought.
“What happens now?” Kian asks and I’m not even sure how to go anywhere from here, my mind is a mess right now!
“I will go to the witch council and see what information I can find out, if we can’t find anything we have to wait until they are born and hopefully know more once we see her,” Michael says and I lean my head at Kians shoulder and try to wrap my head around all this.
“I know she will be alive!” Emma says and I look at her.
“How can you know it if none of you see her?” Kian asks before I get a chance to when I place my hand on my stomach.
“Because we don’t see you bury anyone of them!” Emma says and it gives me some hope in this darkness in some strange way.
“But you can’t say anything else about her?” I say and look between them.
“No nothing!” Michael says and I feel how tears prick behind my eyelids and start to fall.
“If I ever got the chance to kill that man again I wouldn’t hesitate to kill him a hundred times over!” I say and feel Kian’s arm around my shoulders instead.
“We will figure it out!” he says and squeeze my shoulder, I have a hard time believing in his words right now.
Wiping away my tears we have to keep moving forward, trying to find any clue there is what he did.
Pushing my chair back I get up on my feet when Kian gets up and stops me from walking away.
“Where are you going?” he asks and grabs my arm with his hand, I guess he feels through the bond I’m up to something.
“I will head over to the rogue camp and try to find any clues to this! Either you come with me or I will go there by myself!” I say and he won’t get me to budge from this, I have to do everything there is to try
and help our daughter.
“I won’t stop you but we have to go by your pack first and let some of the others follow us over and you need to eat before we leave!” he says and we have a standoff, I want to go right away even if he is right about it.
“Fine!” I say and hear Emma push her chair back before Kian drops his hold on my arm.
“I’m following you back to the pack!” Emma says and takes a step away from the table, turning my head and looking at her before starting to walk around the table to where she is standing.
“I will leave for the council early in the morning, I’ll contact you once I know more!” Michael says when Kian comes over to where we stand.
We will be waiting!” Kian says when I open a portal behind us in his kitchen,
Emma is the first one to start to walk through when Kian place his hand around my waist before we start to walk inside. Closing it once we are on the other side, turning my head I look around and see several bodies of our men laying on the ground, and outside the barrier is a pile of bodies. I sigh at the sight of them all when Kian pulls me close to him.
“Don’t worry about it we have several of our men to handle the dead, focusing on what we can do instead!” he says and stops me from walking further when he turns me to look at him.
“We will figure it out even if we can’t find any clue as to what he did, we will face whatever it is together!” he says when I tilt my head up and look at him.
“I know!” I say when he leans down and gives my lips a peck.
Now let’s get moving!” he says when we start to walk.
“I didn’t see the leader of the rogues, he might still be at the camp!” I say when we walk closer to the pack house
“We meet him on the way over here, we outnumbered them and he fled with the rest of the rogues who were alive. I couldn’t follow them, had to get to you right away and some of Owen’s men followed after them for quite a bit before they disappeared. By the look of it they fled the opposite direction and won’t be anywhere near the rogue camp but in case we need some men to follow!” he says when we have reached the pack house door, opening it the house smell of food and my stomach instantly start to rumble.
“I want to head over there right away! Take some food quickly and get the men ready!” I say when we walk inside the hall, reaching the kitchen Emma is already in place when Jessie is standing and talking to Zoey.
“Your back!” Jessie says and sounds relieved in her voice.
“Yes, but it’s just I quick stop, has to head over to the rogue camp and try to find any clues!” I say and head over to the stove where Sari is cooking dinner.
“I’m coming with you!” Jessie says right away and I’m not surprised.
“Anyone that wants to follow is welcome but no one has to!” I say and turn my head to look at her when Declan and Cannon come walking inside the kitchen.
“Where are we going?” Declan asks when Sari takes down some plates, I don’t wait for her to say it’s done and instantly takes a plate and places some food on it. I hear when Kian tells them where we going when I take a seat and start to eat the hot meal.
When everyone is done eating and ready to go we head out of the kitchen to the lawn outside the pack house, outside stands an army of people both vampires and wolves ready to go.
I hope we will find something useful when we get there!
“Everyone ready!” I say and open a portal beside us, Kian grabs my hand and we are the first to walk through the portal. I’m not sure where to go more than the swamp he held me hostage, from there we can search the woods and find their camp.
Coming out the other side we stand in a field behind the swamp and when everyone is through I close the portal after us, looking around and trying to figure out in what direction we should go when I hear some running coming to the left. Turning in that direction when Kian takes a step in front of me ready to fight what’s on its way.
“It sounds like a large group!” Kian says and we all wait for them to show themselves.
