Chapter 31 Selena pov

Emma takes a sip of her coffee before she answers my question.

"I don't blame my love for finding his mate and the bond pulling him away from me.I just wished he could have been in our daughter's life.Things would have been different if he was still in our life somehow.But then I wouldn’t have met you and had this amazing life we have now.When it comes to the rapes I blocked my mind out from what was happening to my body.They could take my body but not me, no one could touch me.My body carries the scars of what happened both the rapes and the fights.When I se the big scars on my face I am reminded of where I came from and what I have endured it makes me stronger.I remember all the love I have felt before in the arms of men and I know not all of them are bad.There is only one thing I am scared of"

"What is it?"

I have a hard time believing there could be anything that she could be scared of after everything she have to endure »“Finding my mate," she says and takes a bite of her cake.I can't understand why that would be a problem.

"Why?" I ask and sip on my coffee

“A mate should love you no matter what, we are made to fit each other like two pieces of a puzzle.What will happen when my mate sees me, sees all my scars? Will he get angry, can he handle it or would he be filled with rage because someone hurt me and frighten Ella and me? And me already having a child, would he accept her? A mate often gets possessive of its mate, I can’t have that.My mate needs to be kind and calm.That scares me more than anything, I can't have anyone ever hurt my daughter again."

I can se where she comes from and It hurts me what they had to endure.I wish things could be different for her.

She deserves to be happy.

"I promise to always protect this pack and with all the life in me, I will make sure you are safe.No one is ever going to hurt you or Ella again!" I say and take her hand in mine.

She turns her head and looks at me.

"I know you will Selena but I just hope I never find my mate.It will be easier that way" she says and look sad at me, it hurts hearing her say it.

After that we just sit in silence and drinking coffee, thinking about everything she said.I couldn’t bare it if any one of them got hurt again.

They are my family and I care about them more than my own life.

"i have to get back to work, I come and find you later," I tell her and get up from my seat.

Heading inside I walk over to the kitchen and place my dishes down before I walk over to my office again.

At this point, I can't fall behind on work.

When I sit down behind my computer there are a few new emails and I open them from the company first.

One is from my boss, we have a new account coming in and he wants me to travel to them and sign the papers.

My colleagues have been on these trips before but this would be my first time traveling outside the city in business.

Sitting back in my seat and thinking this over for a moment, the timing couldn't be more perfect than it is.

He has sent me the information on the company and I start to look into it.

It’s a few hours away by flight and I know I will have to take the flight, my boss would question how I got there otherwise.

But everything seems to be in order and I could take my time there and have the rest of the week off after.

This would be a good idea since I don’t know if I can get back to work or if they have found out where I work.

It would buy me some time to figure out what to do.

Jessie and Jacob can handle the pack and all that needs to be done until I come back.

I decide to take the offer and answer my boss, it doesn’t take long before he sends me a reply.

He will book the flight right away and I will be having a car waiting for me when I arrive in the city.

My Secretary will send me the contacts in my mail and the rest of the bookings I need.

After a few minutes, I get the flight number and my booking.I will be leaving tomorrow morning at seven.

It means I will have to start packing tonight and go through everything here with my pack before I leave.

If I will be gone a few days they need to know what to do.I mindlink Jessie and Jacob to come to my office when they are free.I start to go through what needed to be done and what to do with the king's

men.

The pack will be safe and hidden as long as they stay behind the barrier.

Even if anyone outside our pack would try and go through the barrier they would have painful brain fog and their sight would almost be gone.

Not to mention they would feel like they are sinking into a swamp.

It feels safe to leave my pack as long as they are inside and are careful when they step outside the barrier.

I hope Kian's men will have given up when I come back or I need to find another solution.I will not let my pack be revealed, they will stay hidden and safe whatever happens around me! They are my reason to keep fighting.

Chapter 32 Selena pov

Finishing the last on my computer I turn it off and gather all papers I need.

Looking forward to having some time away from the office and I might be able to relax.

Knowing they can't find me when I am away on business.

Placing the papers down in a folder I look at the things needs to handle when I am away when Jessie and Jacob walk into my office.

"What's the problem? " Jessie says while they walk over and sit down in the chairs in front of my desk.

I look between the both of them.

"I will be going away for a couple of days to work," I tell them

"where are you going?" Jacob ask

“There is a new account in another city I'm going over to sign some contracts.I will leave all my information about where I am going and what flight I will be taking.You need to handle the pack alone while I am away and if anything happens to me, you can under no circumstances come looking for me." I say and look stern at Jessie I know she is the one who would be breaking my orders if she thought I would be needing to be rescued.

“ But," she says and looks at me.

"There is no but Jessie! These are my orders and we all know I will make it, whatever happens.You know my codes if I only can connect a second you will be the one I contact" I say and se her have a

concerned look on her face.

"I have a bad feeling about this," she says.

"I promise I will be back and I am leaving the pack in your hands until I get back! I have written down a list of what needs to be done and what to do with the king's men.So calm down everything will be fine"

I try to reassure her.I know she doesn't like when I go away but I'm completely calm.

Knowing the pack is in good hands.

I hand them the list and the information about where I am going and the flight I will be taking tomorrow.

They take the time and look at the information, and I sit and wait for them to be done.

"Are you sure about this? You have no one around to help you if there is a problem, and what if another pack picks up your scent?" Jacob says and I hear his concern.

"Don't worry! I will bring myself enough potions to help keep my scent away until I come back again.No one will know what I am even if there is another pack!" I say and se him looking over at Jessie.

"Can't I come with you?" Jessie says and I sigh.

"I need you here to keep everyone safe! I will be alright, don't worry" I rise and they get I don't want to keep discussing it.

"I have to pack my bags and take a run around our borders to make sure it's fine.We can talk later I say to them and start to walk out of my office.I hear them both walking behind me."

“Can I come with you on the run?" Jessie says when she catches up to me.

"of course! I'm planning on starting on the south borders" I tell her when we make out way down the stairs.

"Sounds good to me! How far in the woods do you want to look?" I take a moment to think about it.

"I want to go by the cave and see if we pick up any more scents, there haven't been any more activity lately" we walk out of the pack house and start taking off our clothes on the porch before we shift and start running to the borders.

We have always been very synced when we are out and patrolling, knowing what the other thinks without having to mindlink.

Running in the forest we come closer to the cave where all rogues have been running and disappearing for weeks.

Searching the area we find faint traces of some activity but they seem to be a bit old and running away from the cave.

We have seen booth rogues going in and others coming out a part of me wants to go in there and have a look at what's on the other side, but the risk of being exposed is too high and I can't risk my pack.

Taking an extra run around we feel satisfied for now and start to head back.I will have a patrol going over here every day and check it out.I have a feeling something big is going on and we will have to keep a close watch until we figure out what to do.

Coming inside our borders again we head over to the pack house and shift back.

Taking on our clothes we discuss what they need to do and make sure a patrol outside our borders all the time while I'm away.

She goes to find Zoey and I head inside, need to start packing my bags and take a shower so I'm ready to go early in the morning.I don't see anyone inside and head over to the kitchen first, something to eat and drink would be good.

Heating up some leftovers I sit down by the counter and start eating.

If I could figure out a way to tell Kian about all these rogues and the strange activity we have been having around here without revealing this pack or me I would do it.

I don't think he would be giving it much thought if I sent him a letter anonymously, if it were me I would think it was a trap.

Sighing to myself I walk over with my empty plate and wash it up before I head up to my room and start packing.

I will have to figure out a way to let him know!

Chapter 33 Selena pov

Getting up to my room I start by pulling out some work clothes and underwear.

That’s when I get a message on my phone.It’s from Elijah.

"heard you were going to travel! It will be fun"

"I hope you are right! Have never done this before " I answer back

"It only means the owners trust in you! And I know you will do great" I get a warm feeling in my body from his words.

"Thank you, don’t know what I ever can do to repay you for everything you have done for me"

"I know I thing or two you could do"

I get as a reply and feel how my hands start to sweat.

OOh no! I seriously didn’t walk in that trap myself.

I practically gave him that opportunity and now I have no idea what to answer him.

"speechless? I would like to hear you moan instead"

Now my cheeks start to burn and at that right moment, Emma decides to walk into my room.

"Hey what are you up to?"

She walks over and snatches my phone from me.

"Stop it, Emma, don’t answer anything I will regret"

She just giggles and writes on my phone.

I try to get it back from her but she dodges my attempt.

When She is done she hands me the phone and I tossed it on the bed like it had burned my hand's men I read what she has answered him.

"Fuck Emma you can’t answer like that.How am I ever going to meet him at work again? I am fucked..I need to quit work.I will have to find something else"

"Calm down it wasn’t that bad.It's every man's dream to hear their crush think of them when they are alone in bed!' "

Good dammit Emma It sounds even worse when you say it out loud! I seriously need to find myself another job

"She laughs at me and I hear the phone beep again."

“I am not opening that one!" I say and raise my hands in the air.

"I can look at it for you," she says and reaches for the phone, I pick it up and put it in my drawer.

"Find yourself a man you can have fun whit and stop making my life painful"

"but it is too fun teasing you" I sigh and walk over to my closet again, getting my bag and starting packing it.

"I don’t have the best feeling about this trip," she says and sits down on my bed.

I walk over and sit beside her.

"You know I will always make it.You don’t have to worry about me" I say to her

"But you know I always do! We all hate when you are away even when you only are at work" she looks at me with sadness in her eyes.

"I know you will all handle it when I am away even if something happens and I will be gone longer than planned.And I promise to let you know what happens"

I try to reassure her.She sighs and takes my hand in hers, I just have a bad feeling about this"

"I will be back soon, don’t worry."

We chatted for a while and I finish packing.

When she leaves I pull out my phone and look at the messages he has sent.

The first one said “ forget the thinking and come join me instead when you are back" and the second he wondered where I went. I answered him that I was busy packing and needed to get ready for tomorrow morning.

He understood and we ended our conversation after that.

I had to stop getting any more messages before it goes out of hand.

I need to take a shower and catch some hours of sleep before I have to head over to the airport.

Decide to check in with Jessie about what the status was with the king's men.

"Anything new?"

I mindlink her

" Well what we can see all his men boarded a plain just minutes ago and left"

“ just like that?"

I have a hard time believing they would just give up.

"Yes it appears so"

"Alright let me know if anything changes"

I cut the mindlink and head over to my bed.It’s strange why would they leave just after a day's search.

I couldn’t get much sleep last night and I was tired the next day when I had to leave my bed and head over to the airport early in the morning.

When I walk down the stairs to the kitchen no one is up and I eat some breakfast before it's time to go.

Walking out of the house, Jacob is waiting by the car.He will drive me to the airport.

"Isn’t it weird they all left yesterday?" He asks me when I take a seat in the car.

"It doesn’t feel right but who knows maybe the king needed them back" I answer.

Have been thinking the same thing as him, finding it strange.

We chat the whole way to the airport.

"Well just look out for yourself and come right home if you suspect something," he says when I open the door and am ready to head over to check-in.

"I will! don’t worry! Take care of the pack when I am gone.See you in a couple of days" I say to him and walk out of the car.

Heading to the airport with my bag and checking it in.

I could have made this trip a lot faster than going on an airplane, but here I am waiting in an airport and then sitting on an airplane for hours just so my bosses don't start to question how I got there when they pay the bills on a business trip.

After I have checked in the bag I head over to my gate and take a seat.

We will start border in awhile.

I turn off my phone and put it in my bag, when they open the gate I am one of the first that needs to border the plane, my seat is the farthest away from the door on the plane.I walk inside I sit down and relax in my seat.I haven’t seen anything suspected.

When the plane is up in the air the flight attendant walks around and takes orders.

The seat next to me is occupied by a young girl and she is human.I order a bottle of water and the attendant brings me a bottle and opens it for me, I drink half of the bottle.

After a little, while I start to feel sleepy.I'm really sleepy! I can’t keep my eyes open.I try to fight it.

My wolf is numb, I can’t reach her! I just realize I have been drugged when I feel the seat next to me dip and someone big is sitting in the seat instead of the girl.I can’t open my eyes to se who it is, I don't feel anything.

Just before my head spins and I am about to pass out I hear a voice.

"Don’t fight it"

And I couldn’t even if I wanted. My mind goes blank and I pass out

Chapter 34 Selena pov

When I wake up again I try to reach my wolf but she is still sedated and I know we have been drugged with wolfsbane and I guess some sleeping drug.I have no memory of after the man spoke to me.I try not to make a sound when I look around where I am being held.I am in a cellar behind bars and with the smell of it, the bars are coated with silver and wolfsbane.

It makes it hard to break through.I am placed in a small bed with a blanket over me.

At least it smells clean.I hear someone opening a door and two people are walking down.I lay completely still.

Then I hear them talk.

“why is she being held down here," one of them says

"It’s just a precaution, she is a white wolf and we don’t know her mental state since she became rogue.Many become crazy after being alone"

I laugh inside when I hear what they are saying about me, if they only knew.I recognize their smell and I know my dear mate has found me.

"she won’t wake up for hours I guess not until tomorrow by the number of sleeping pills we put in her water.We just need to check up on her from time to time"

I hear the two men climbing the stairs again and closing the door.

There is a dim light in the ceiling and I turn around to look at my surroundings.

There are two cells down here in this large room.It’s high up to the ceiling and has some small windows with bars.

I recognize the type of house and guess I am in the castle of all places.

Well, he won’t be keeping me here longer than I have to.

I just need my wolf to wake up so I can pull on her strength and we will be leaving this place.I lay back down if anyone comes back I need to quickly lay down in the same position.

Times go by slowly when I wait for my wolf to wake up again.

It must be in the middle of the night when I hear the door open, laying on my side again and trying to relax I smell his intoxic scent and a shiver goes through my body.

I feel his presence on the other side of the bars.

My mate, he just stands there for what feels like ages before he walks up the stairs again and closes the door.I sigh a breath of relief when he locks the door.I guess it will be hours before anyone else comes down and look at me.I start to feel sleepy when I lay there and I let sleep take over for a while, I am going to need all the strength I have later.

After a couple of hours, I wake up again and see some lights from the window peering through, my wolf starts to stir again and I get a glimmer of hope to be out of here in no time.

Her strength is not back yet but she is awake at least, and I know soon she will be back to herself.I hear the door open and I lay down, his scent is back and I hear more footsteps on the stairs.I put up a wall so my wolf can't be reached.I can't let her and his wolf speak, I don’t trust my wolf with our mate at all.

She still wants her mate even after everything he has done.

Laying on my side I feel a lot of eyes on me, they are just standing there and not saying a word.

“open the door" I hear him order and I know he is about to walk into me.

The door creaks open and I feel him standing beside my bed.

I try not to make a move and my heartbeat is steady.

"I know you are awake! Get up" he commands me.

I go out of bed with a growl.

Standing in front of me with his tall and muscular body, I only reach to his chest and I know I look tiny against him.

"Look at me!"

He commands and I try to fight against him.

I have to give in to his alpha command since my wolf hasn't got her strength yet.I slowly turn my head up and meet his dark amber eyes.

He is breathtakingly gorgeous.

His eyes scanned my face and body, taking me all in.

"it's time you tell me the truth," he says and grips my chin with his large hand.

Sparks rush through my body from his touch and I can't help but shiver from the feeling, "you had the guts to run from me! Now I will get you to answer where you live" he booms at me.

If he thinks he is going to get any useful answers from me he better think again!

“At my land" and I wasn’t lying so it was an easy answer.

Booth persons behind him burst out laughing.

The grip on my chin increases and he pulls his face closer to mine.

"What’s the name of the pack you are living in" that is one question he will never get out of me.

Not even if he starts to torture me again, his alpha command washes over me, and sweat starts to form on my forehead.

I hear one of his men trying to make him drop his command but he doesn’t, and the pain is starting to be too much.

Black dots start to dance before my eyes.

The last thing I see before I faint is my mate's angry eyes.

I welcome the darkness, he didn’t get my pack's name out of me.

They are safe and I know he won’t be able to keep me here.

I will break free from him.

Chapter 35 Kian pov

The moment Cannon called and told me the plan had worked, she was on the plain and he had knocked her out with the drug I hada hard time containing my wolf.

We both wanted to meet her again.

“ It took several hours before they got here.When they landed at the first airport the private plane stood ready to bring them here.When they finally arrived she was still unconscious, she looked so small and fragile when Cannon carried her.When I took her in my arms I felt how sparks rushed through my whole body.I bury my nose in her neck, inhaling her intoxic scent.

I could devour her on the spot.

Since we didn’t know how she would react when she woke up and the fact she is a white wolf I decided to put her in the cellar.

Cannon and Declan strongly protested against it, but I only planned on keeping her there until she would woke up.

When I walked into the cellar this morning 1 instantly felt the change, she was awake but I still couldn't reach her wolf.

Finding it strange! When she finally looked up at me her ice blue eyes almost had me stumbling back.She is breathtakingly beautiful, My little mate.

And then she angered me to the point I had to use my Alpha command over her and still, I didn't get any real answer out of her again and now I stand here with a pass-out mate in my arms.

I put her back on the bed and turn around to face Cannon and Declan.

"you two stop laughing! " I bark at them

"that was hilarious," Declan says and I just glare at him

"I told you your hands would be full with this one! But I like her she will be a great Queen" Cannon point out.

"close the door," I say and start walking up the stairs.

"And you thought she was a weak wolf" now booth burst out laughing.

I turn around and look at them.

"If you don’t stop it I will put your booth in the cell next to hers"

"Well I bet she will be more fun than you," Declan says and push beside me walking up the stairs.

When I reach the top of the stairs he stands in my way.

"how long are you planning to keep her down there," he says.

"until she calms down and starts talking, give her a day or two and she will give up"

"Don’t bet on it"

Cannon says behind me I just turn my head around and look at him.

"well I am not letting her up until she calms down and talks, we have no idea what she can do"

I go over to my office and try to have something done today but my mind keeps going back to my mate.I get why she is angry with me but if she just could give me a chance.

Half a day goes by and a guard reports to me she refuses to eat, I tell him to let me know if she still refuses to eat anything when it’s dinner.

Declan and Cannon walk in when it’s dinner and tell me the guard came up and she still wouldn’t eat anything.

My anger takes over and I get up and walk out of my office and down to the cellar.

Coming down the stairs I see her sitting on the bed with her back turned at us and she is facing the wall.She hasn't touched her food at all.

"why won’t you eat" she doesn’t answer or move an inch.

"Turn around"

I order her and it takes a moment before she stops fighting my alpha command and turns around.

She keeps her head down but I hear alow growl coming from her, It is strange I still can’t feel her wolf It’s like she is behind a barrier of some sort.

"look at me when I speak to you " she tries to resist my command but I force my alpha command stronger on her.

She let out a whimper before she gives in and look up at me.Her beautiful blue eyes have me captivated for a while.I just can’t take my eyes off her.

"Eat"

I order and she's reluctant gets up from her bed and picks up the bowl from the tray.

She takes the spoon and slowly picks up some food and takes it into her mouth.

When I se her eating I drop the command.

She takes a breath and before we know it she throws the bowl at me I dodge it at the last second and food splashes all over the floor.

My anger takes the best of me when I quickly walk over and open her door.

Stepping inside I take my hand behind her neck and force her to look at me, holding her in a firm grip I press my body closer to her.

She refuses to have eye contact with me.

"look at me"

I let my alpha commands wash over her again and she wiggles in my grip trying to break free.I see her starting to sweat.

Slowly she raises her eyes and looks at me.

“ pull something like that again and wait to se what will happen " I growl at her

"so the big bad Alpha can’t handle a weak mate like me" she mocks me.

"Let's start by informing you when I find out what man touched you I will end his life the second" I growl at her and se her avert her eyes.

"What did he do with you," I say and place my command over her.

I see her trying to avoid answering before she looks defiant in my eyes.

"He gave me my first kiss and I enjoyed it" she spits at me.

I lose all control over her statement.

Forcing her back to the wall and caging her in with my body, my hand never let go of her neck.

Sparks rush everywhere, her plump pink lips too tempting not to taste.

I crash my lips against hers, feeling her warm breath against my lips.

Forcing my tongue in her mouth tasting her.

She bit down on my lip drawing blood but I don’t care, just kept devouring her until she gives in and let out a moan.

When I release her she is a panting mess trying to catch her breath.

I let her go and walk out of her cell, close it and head up the stairs, Declan and Cannon follow me and before I close the door I turn off the light.
