Ch. 91..95: I Will Never Be Yours Chapter 91-95
Chapter 91
Selena POV:
Slowly I start to come out of the darkness and start to register my surroundings. Trying to listening for any sound around me before I try to open my eyes.
I don’t hear anything at the moment and all I can smell is some herbs floating around me. I don’t recognize the smell at all!
Opening my eyes, I have to adjust my eyes to the brightness in the room. Blinking repeatedly before my vision becomes clear and I start to look around in the room. I’m lying in a bed in what looks like a large bedroom. Some heavy curtains are slightly covering the windows, trying to move my arms and legs I have to get up from the bed and try to get out of here!
Moving my fingers, I try to reach for my wolf but she feels cut off and I can’t pull on any of my gifts. I feel weak and I guess whatever they put inside the chocolate is still in my system!
Trying to move my arms I managed to get one up to my face.
I feel numb in my body and the moment I move a bit with my head to try and get up dizziness hits me hard and I have to lay back down again and close my eyes.
Remembering who it was that kidnapped me I try to find out why he would ever when I hear some heavy steps walk closer to where I am before the door is pushed open.
I see a dark person standing in the doorway before he comes walking inside with a smile on his lips.
He walks closer to the bed I’m lying on with a tray in his hands.
He places it down on the nightstand before he sits down on the edge of the bed.
“I thought I heard you being awake!” he says and I try to get up from the bed but there is no strength in my body and I give up and turn my head and look at him.
“Why are you doing this Elijah?” I say and look right into his eyes. None of this makes any sense!
“I thought it was obvious!” he says and starts to pull the blanket further up on me. I feel very thirsty and he places one hand behind my head and I let him have nothing to put against him at the moment. He takes a glass of water from the tray with a straw inside and places it on my lips. I take large gulps from the water without a hesitation, need to drink! he takes it and places it back on the tray when I’m done.
“I don’t understand!” I say when his hand comes up and cares my cheek. I get this feeling to instant get away from him but I can’t move from my spot.
“I want you! I have wanted you since the day we first met!” he says and leans forward. All I can do is to push my head harder down the pillow before I feel him peck my lips.
“No! Stop it!” I say in protest when he captures my lips with his. I try to move my head away when he holds it in place with his hand and pushes his tongue inside my mouth. I have no other option and bite him hard on his tongue until I draw blood and he lets me go. He pulls away and keeps his face inches away from mine when he wipes away some blood from his lips.
“You will come around! Just wait until the potion work and then you will be only mine!” he says and caress my cheek before he sits back up.
“No Elijah! This is wrong and I already have another in my life!” I say and try to plead with him when he starts to chuckle.
“Ah, you mean your mate! Don’t worry about him he will soon only be a bad memory!” he says and traces his hand down my shoulder and to my hand. Looking at him in shock! How can he know about mates and that Kian is mine! Elijah is just a human.
“But how can you know!?” I say in shock when he peels the blanket off my arm and places my hand in his.
“You mean about mates or that Kian is yours!” he says and turns his head and looks at me before his other hand comes to my neck and starts to trace down on my shoulder. I can’t find my words when he snaps his eyes up to look at me.
“I found out the day in the office when he came and started to growl at me for being close to you. It was fun to tease the great werewolf king by touching his mate! And it will be even more fun when he realizes I have taken his mate from him to be mine!” he says and gets a wicked smile on his lips. Just the sight of him now has me questioning if I ever really knew him.
All these years at work and all he has done for me I always thought of him as being nice and friendly. But this wicked man in front of me is anything but it.
“No Elijah! This isn’t right!” I say and try to move my hand out from his but he grabs it harder.
“I don’t care what’s right! You will be mine!” he says and a chill runs down my spine from his words.
“Please, Elijah! If you know about mates you know how important the mate bond is!” I try to plead with him when he chuckles.
“I know all too well what a mate is! You are not the only one who can mask their scent!” he says and my blood freezes to ice in my veins from his words. Have I mistaken him for being a human when he is
something else? I don’t feel any wolf by him and then there leaves him with being a witch or worse! A vampire!
Looking at him in shock I try to look for any signs of what he is when he takes my hand and lifts it to his lips.
“Have you figured it out yet?” he says and traces his lips over the back of my hand when I try to pull it out of his grip. I got a bad feeling about this.
“All the time we worked together you never picked up anything different. I tried to get you to fall in love with me for months and did everything for you. I have always known what you are from the first moment we met.
And I almost had you the day at the banquet! You started to give in to me and if it hadn’t been for your mate finding you that day I believe you would have already been mine right now!” he says in a darker evil voice that makes me scared for what he plans to do to me.
I’m an easy target this way without my gifts and strength.
“You know there is a reason why you feel so weak right now! When you have been unconscious I haven’t been able to stay away from you! I always knew you would taste good but nothing can ever be compared to your sweet taste and I might have taken a bit too much!” he says and my heart starts to beat harder in my chest. I know what he is before he turns his head and looks at me.
His canines are out and his eyes are pitch black when he lifts my wrist to his nose and starts to inhale on it.
Seeing several red marks on my wrist and arm he has s*cked my blood when I have
been out. Fear takes over my mind and I try to get out of his grip but I’m no match against him right now!
“You smell even better when you are afraid! And this I’m going to enjoy” he says. before he bit down on my wrist and start to s*ck out my blood. I can’t move out of his grip and it doesn’t take long before my body feels heavy and my vision starts to get blurry. I try to speak and beg him to stop but my mouth won’t corporate and it doesn’t take many seconds before everything become pitch black!
Chapter 92
Kian POV:
Jessie pushes by me and walks over to where Cannon is standing.
“This is Elijah’s office!” she says and I can’t help but growl out loud.
“You’re telling me Elijah is behind all this?” I say through gritted teeth and have to clench my hands into fists. When I get a hold of him he won’t take another breath.
“Yes, it is! But why would he be involved in this? He’s just a human!” Jessie says when I see Cannon walk inside the office and we all walk closer to see him sniff around at everything before he comes to stand right in front of us in the doorway. “He’s a vampire! Who can mask his scent, something strange is going on here!” Cannon says when I try to remember if I noticed anything when I met him that day in the meeting room.
“I didn’t pick up anything strange about him when we met at the meeting!” I say in anger and look at Cannon. How is it possible for us all to miss it? He has been right under our nose and none of us was alarmed about him!
“You ain’t the only one! And we have been working with him for a very long time and none of us has noticed anything unusual” Zoey says and start to walk back and forth in the hallway.
“I know where his apartment is! But it’s highly unlikely he has taken her there!” Jessie says and turns around in the hallway and starts to walk towards the elevator.
“Where are you going?” Zoey asks when we all start to walk after her.
“I’m going over there right now to look for any trace of where he has taken her and when I get a hold of that piece of sh*t he won’t take another breath!” she says in anger and pushes the b*tton repeatedly to the elevator.
“It doesn’t help if you break the b*tton!” Zoey says to her.
“I shouldn’t have let her go alone when we knew she was under a threat! And how the f**k can we have missed what he is for all this f**king time we have been working here! We are supposed to protect her and keep her safe and what a f**king good job we have done!” Jessie burst out and curse a long sentence after.
“You are not alone in missing it! We all have missed it. But right now we have to focus and find all traces we can to save her! So, pull your sh*t together Jessie!” Zoey barks out when the elevator arrives and the doors open.
She pushes by her and gets inside before we walk after her.
Seeing Declan pull her inside before the doors close and Zoey presses the b*tton to the entrance floor.
“If it helps you to feel better about all this Selena has missed it too,” Zoey says when the elevator starts to go down. Hearing Jessie curse again out loud.
“No, it doesn’t! We shouldn’t have let her go by herself since we heard what the rogue said!” Jessie says and it has me thinking.
“What if this isn’t connected with the rogues!” I mind link Cannon and Declan “or what if it is just that! Why would the vampires get together with the rogues?” Declan mind link back
“I thought they learned the last time they tried to invade our country. And the agreement they signed I have a hard time believing they would risk it all!” I mind link them when we have reached the entrance
floor and the doors are opened. We make our way out of the building and head to the parking lot. Jessie turns to look at us when we are outside the building and have reached the cars.
“Whatever you are not telling us we need to know!” she says and stands in front of the cars with her arms crossed over her chest.
“Declan can fill you in on everything later! Can we check out his apartment first?” I order out, have no time to waste standing here and discussing this. I’m waiting for her response when Declan walks over and places his arm around her shoulders before he turns her around and heads for the cars.
She surrenders and opens the doors before we all get inside. It doesn’t take long before we have reached over to his apartment building and we park the cars outside.
Cannon start to sniff around the area before he comes back after a little while. His apartment is located close to the forest. I can clearly see why he would choose such a place since he is a vampire and still needs blood. I bet if we start to search the forest we will find some dead bod*ies of his victims there!
He has chosen a perfect city to stay under the radar at. No close pack and no other vampires for several miles, he can easily have lived here without anyone ever finding out!
“I don’t pick up anything!” Cannon says when he comes to stand in front of us. I drag a hand through my hair in frustration! Somehow he has managed to mask his scent completely and he has to know a witch or have very good knowledge of herbs to make potions. That is something only witches have knowledge of and they p@ss it down over generations. For him to know it is strange!
“Let’s get inside!” Zoey says and starts to head over to the entrance. We all are right behind her when she opened the doors and we get inside.
Finding his apartment is easy! When we stand outside the apartment we can all smell his vampire scent.
“If we only had visited him once we would have known right away!” Zoey declares while Jessie tries to open the door.
It only takes Jessie one hard kick on the door before it flies open and the door hits the wall with a bang.
If anyone is inside the apartment they are alarmed we are here! Listening for any sound or movement from the apartment before we all go in.
Getting inside his hallway we all start to look around for any trace of them!
There isn’t anyone here and inside his apartment, there is no question he is a vampire. His scent is strong in every room.
Looking around I get a feeling he was in a hurry away from here! There is no sight of him or Selena when we walk around.
Clothes are laying thrown on the floor and papers are sc**ttered all over his table in the kitchen. I find a blood bag in the kitchen that’s empty but that’s all the food there is. Opening his kitchen cabinets I find several cans of herbs.
I get a feeling they could be important for Emma to look at and we need to bring them to her!
Starting to take them out and place them on the sink when Cannon shouts from the living room.
“Kian you better come out here and take a look at this!” he says and I drop everything I’m holding and quickly walk out of the kitchen and head for the living room.
Hope whatever they have found it’s something useful!
Chapter 93
Kian POV:
Coming out in the living room I see them all standing over the table in the room and looking down at something.
Walking closer I see some papers and a map on the table.
Stopping by the table I look down and the map and see it’s over the area behind the cave, where there aren’t any packs and we suspect the rogue to have a camp.
On one place on the map are some coordinates written, looking at it it’s just partly written and I can guess one part of the location but not all.
“He probably has taken her there! On the other side. But what are the coordinates pointing at?” Declan says out loud what I guess we all are thinking about.
“Is this everything you have found?” I ask them and start to gather the papers. They are coming with us.
“I haven’t found anything else!” Cannon says.
“There are some cans with herbs in the kitchen we have to bring back to Emma!” I say when I see Zoey walk over to the kitchen and come out after a little while with a can in her hand.
She looks at it and I can see she is lost in deep thought. Turning to her with the papers in my hand.
“What is it?” I ask her when she just stays there lost in her thoughts. She turns to look at me
“This herb is strange! I know in the back of my mind I have smelled it before but I can’t place it. It’s not a usual herb!” she says when Cannon walks over to her and takes the can from her. He opened the lid and start to sniff it before I see him get a troubled expression on his face.
“She is right! This one is strange” Cannon says and turn the can around to look at it when he has put the lid on.
“Grab them all! We are going back with them to Emma right now!” Jessie says and walks past them over to the kitchen. Zoey and Declan walk after her when I hear them gather all the cans before they come back out to the living room.
I have everything from the table and after taking another quick look around in the apartment to make sure we haven’t missed anything important I’m ready to leave.
Walking out of the apartment Jessie shuts the door closed before we head down the stairs and out to the cars.
The cars are too small for us all to fit in one and this time Declan, Cannon, and I get inside one of them. We need to discuss this the three of us!
“By the look of the map he is involved with the rogues! And we need to head over and scout the area!” I say and look ahead on the road when Declan starts to drive the car out of the parking lot.
“If he is and the vampires are in on this we have another problem and we have to let all packs know!” Declan says and follows after Jessies car.
“We have to know for sure before we get everyone involved. My father still has contacts on the vampire council I will have him contact them the moment we get back!” I tell them and look at Cannon. He is sitting in the front seat flipping the can in his hands and lost deep in his thoughts.
He doesn’t say anything and I know there is something that’s bothering him.
“Cannon, what is it?” I ask him after a long moment when he still hasn’t said anything.
“This herb! I know I have run into it before. It has to be rare by its distinct smell of it. I remember coming across it somewhere, I just can’t remember where it was!” he says and open the can to take another sniff of it.
I can smell the strong herb to the back seat of the car but I have never come across it before.
“I hope Emma or Sari knows more of it!” Declan says when the car turns off the main road and I know we have reached their pack grounds. The car comes to a stop inside their borders.
Opened the door and get out before we hurry over to their pack house to find Emma.
Coming inside their pack house Emma is nowhere to be found and we place everything down on the kitchen table!
“I’m checking for her out in the garden!” Jessie says and heads out of the kitchen with fast steps.
“I’m giving my father a call!” I say and walk out of the room and head over to an empty living room on the bottom floor. It’s better to have this conversation in private!
Seeing a big couch in the middle of the room I walk over to the other end of the room and lean at the wall.
Taking out my phone from my pocket I dial his number and he answers on the second ring.
“Found her?” he says right away and I have to take a deep breath before continuing.
“She has been kidnapped! By her colleague from work!” I tell him and the phone falls silent for a second.
“She has been what?” he raises his voice over the phone and he is just as angry as I am over this.
“yes, and we have just learned he is a vampire!” I say when I hear him take a large inhale of air.
“No there is no way they would breach the contract! I would have known long before they would do such a thing!” he barks out and I can hear how he tries to put these pieces together just as I try to figure it out!
“That is what we have found out! You have to contact the council! We need to go to the bottom of this before we alarm everyone else!” I say when I hear several voices talking loud in the kitchen.
“Let me know what you find once you have talked to them! I have to go!” I say and hang up the phone before placing it down in my pocket and heading over to the kitchen.
Coming to the doorway to the kitchen I find them all standing and talking with raised voices and the tension in the room is high. Once they hear me come inside they snap their heads and look at me.
Finding Emma standing beside Cannon and once her eyes meet mine she is quick to avert them.
“What’s going on?” I boom out to them.
Chapter 94
Kian POV:
No one says a word at first! Walking closer to where they all are standing I turn my head and look at Emma, I know there is something she knows.
“What is it, Emma?” I ask and have to contain my anger from bursting out, this is not her fault!
I see her hang with her shoulders before she slowly lifts her eyes to look at me.
“The chocolate you brought is sp*ked with some of his blood!” she says and I see how sad she is in her eyes.
“The chocolate is what?!” I boom out and now I can’t contain my anger at all! When I get my hands on him, I’m going to enjoy my time before I end him!
“Yes, and I believe I know why he has done it!” she says in a low voice and takes a step back. I know my anger is about to burst, I only need a small push and I won’t be able to control it any longer.
“Kian you have to calm down first!” Declan says and I feel his hand on my arm, I try to take deep breaths and get my emotions under control.
“Tell me! Why!” I say and look at her. She takes another step back and Cannon gets in front of her like a shield, I will not hurt her or anyone of them but I can understand his feelings if protecting his mate.
“He is trying to break the bond between you and I believe he wants her for himself and that’s why his blood is sp*ked in the chocolate!” she says and I have to clench my jaw together and hold my hands in fists from this information or I’m going to lash out on someone.
“Kian calm down! You need to focus on finding any clues to where she is being held!” Declan says and grabs my shoulder hard.
“Don’t f**king tell me to calm down when it’s my mate he is after!” I roar out and snap my shoulder out of his grip and turn to look at him.
“Yes, and that’s why you need to focus right now! You have marked her and as long the mark is still there you can feel her if we get close enough! So focus and take out your anger on him once we find him!” Declan barks back at me and he never raises his voice. It does the trick and I stand there looking at him for a long moment and just breathe until I have calmed down enough to focus on what needs to be done.
“The herbs! Has anyone been able to get something out of them?” I say and avert my eyes from Declan before turning around and looking at Emma when Sari comes rushing into the house.
“What’s going on!” Sari says and walks over with a basket in her hands she places it on the counter before walking over to the table.
“They have brought some herbs with them! I haven’t got the time to look at them yet!” Emma says when Sari takes one can from the table and look at it closely.
Cannon reaches for the herb he is puzzled about and hands it over to Emma.
“I recognize this smell but can’t place it! I hope you know more!” he says when Sari places her can down and walks over to where Emma is looking at the can.
She opens the lid and I hear a gasp from one of them, seeing them both look at each other before Emma places the lid back on the can.
“How could he has this?” Emma says and I don’t like the sound of that.
“Have what?” I ask and look between them before Emma turns her head and looks at me.
“This herb is strong and very rare, only the highest witches know how to use it properly! If you do it right it will enchant every potion you make and there isn’t any bond you can’t break with it. There are only a handful of witches who would ever use it because of the side effects it can give, if it’s used wrong it will K*ll the one who ingests it!” Emma says and everyone is silent in the room and tries to process the new information.
I’m puzzled! How can he know about herbs and how to use them? He is a vampire and not a witch!
“I don’t get it! How can Elijah know about the herbs and how to make a potion? He is a vampire and not a high rank which!” Zoey says what I’m thinking.
“I have no good answer to that and we have to contact the witch council to ask them what they know! I’ll go and call them right now” Sari says and heads over to their herb room right away.
“Where can you find this herb?” Cannon asks and looking at Emma she thinks for a moment.
“They only grow in the soil in a swamp where you can find a lot of iron, very few places have that kind of environment where they can thrive!” Emma says and Cannon gets a frown on his forehead.
It takes a long moment in silence before he takes a step closer to the table and reaches for the map, he unfolds it on the table and leans over when he starts to look at it.
Walking over to where he stands and waiting for him to speak up when he suddenly places his finger on the map.
“I knew I recognized the scent! I have been in this area and it’s from here!” he says and we all look over at the map where he is pointing, it’s an area on the outskirts of the noman lands and the furthest end from the cave.
“When were you there?” I have to ask him since there isn’t a pack there
“Remember about a year back when I went to visit these two packs I decided to skip the car and run instead. I took a shortcut with two of our men and run right over here, we came right to a swamp which smelled like this herb and had to take a long way to come around it!” he says and I remember now.
“We need to get there right now!” I tell them and turn around to get out of there, we have to run back and get more men before taking a car and getting over to the area.
“What do you think we are going to find there?” Declan asks before I have walked out of the kitchen, stopping in my track and turning around to look at them.
“This is the only lead we have and if there is the smallest trace to find there I will find it!” I say when Cannon fold the map before turning and walking over to where I stand.
“let’s go!” he says and I see the others start to move.
“There is something you need to take before you leave!” Emma says when I’m about to turn around, seeing her walk over to the counter and take a few potions with her.
“Here you need to take these two!” she says and hands them to me. Looking at the potions before I take them and lift my eyes to look at her.
“What are these for?” I ask her when she looks at me with worry on her face.
“The first one is to give you strength. The other one is to strengthen your bond with Selena!” she says and I don’t take my eyes off her when she places her hand on top of mine.
“It will be painful! But you have to be strong for her and hold on to the bond you two have” she says in a shaky voice.
Chapter 95
Selena POV:
Feeling a hand petting my head I try to open my eyes, my body feels numb and hot!
“You’re waking up! I was afraid it would take a lot longer.” I hear his voice beside me and snap my eyes open to stare right at the ceiling.
Feel his presence beside me on the bed and turn my head to look at him, he is laying there with a smile on his lips and just the sight of him sends a chill down my spine.
I try to move my hands and my body but I feel numb and my body is so heavy.
“I drank a bit too much of your blood! Couldn’t stop in time and had to give you some of mine to keep your heart beating, we will have to work on it once we are mated! I don’t want to s*ck you dry because you taste so good” he says and leans closer to my face, I try to turn my head away from him when he takes his hand behind my head and holds a hard grip before he captures my lips with his.
Holding my lips tight shut I try to move from my place when he lets go of my lips and head, his hand starts to travel down my body when he begins to peel the blanket off me.
“Stop!” I say to him when he climbs over me and takes his hand to my sweatshirt.
“I’m going to help you get out of this warm sweatshirt!” he says when I hear fabric tears and a burning feeling on my skin. Trying to move or do something but I’m nothing more than dead weight this way!
“So beautiful!” he says when he tosses my ripped shirt to the floor and his hand starts to travel down my body and over my bra.
“Elijah please stop! Why are you doing this? We don’t belong together” I try to plead with him when his hand comes up and cups my bre@st through the bra.
“We belong together! We always have!” he says and gets off me before he tosses the blanket off me and his hand comes down my pants. I already know what he plans to do before he starts to rip them to pieces, tears pr***ck behind my eyelids from being this weak and defenseless, I can’t reach my wolf or my gifts.
I’m all cut off from everything and completely vulnerable for whatever he plans to do with me.
“Elijah you can’t do this! I have a mate and I am already marked!” I say to him and hope to get through to him somehow.
He starts to laugh an evil laugh and I get goosebumps just by hearing him.
“that’s easy to fix and I have already started to give you what you need for the mark to be erased, It’s going to hurt a bit but once it’s over and I have marked you it will all be fine!” he says and tosses my ripped pants on the floor before he walks over to a table in the room.
Seeing him pick up something on a tray my mind gets blank when I see what it is, he is holding a bottle and a syringe in his hand before he places the bottle down.
He is serious about taking my marking away!
I try to move, try to find any strength in my body but all is gone! I can’t let him do this and take away the bond, if he succeeds I know it will probably K*ll Kian since he has marked me and I’m his second- chance mate. He won’t survive this!
Just the thought of losing Kian has my heart breaking into pieces, there is no one else I want than him! He is my destined mate and here Elijah is going to take him away from me and I can’t do anything
about it! Tears start to stream down my cheeks, he will d*ie because of me!
“Now you don’t have to cry I promise the pain won’t last forever and once it’s gone and we are mated you will think of no one else than me!” I hear him say before I see him walk closer to the bed I lay on completely numb and can’t do anything to fight him off.
“Elijah! Don’t do this! You have a mate out there somewhere who is the right one for you! It’s not me” I say and look at him when he starts to laugh out loud with a wicked laugh when he walks closer to the bed.
“My mate!” he says and takes a seat at the edge of the bed while looking all over my body.
“Let me tell you she couldn’t compare with you even the slightest bit,” he says and start to trace his hand up my thigh.
“You have met her?” I ask him in shock.
“Yeah! I have!” he says and I don’t like the tone of his voice when he says it. I see him take his other hand with the syringe in and start to move it closer to my thigh, I can’t let him do this! I have to think of something fast
“Wait, Elijah! Tell me where is she? Why aren’t you with her instead?” I say and try to have him stop what he is about to do, I’m certain whatever is in that syringe will break the bond somehow.
“Oh, you want to know about my mate do you!” he says and leans down with his face to my thigh before I feel his teeth puncture my skin and he s*cks for a quick moment, I can only lay there and hope he will stop before I faint again!
He lets go and punctures his finger so it comes some droplets of blood on it when he takes it to my thigh and smears it over the holes.
“Let me tell you I loved to hear her scream in pain when I slowly ended her life in the most painful way I could think of!” he says and I look at his evil smile, right now there is no kindness left in him, he is pure evil, and nothing like the Elijah I thought I knew for all these years!
She holds my hands in hers for a moment before she lets go and takes a step back, looking down at my hand I don’t hesitate and take both lids off and swallow both potions in one go. They taste awful and I almost have them come up again.
Handling her them back again I turn around and start to walk out of there with everyone else.
“Cannon, I need to talk with you before you leave!” Emma says and Cannon stops and turn back to her while the rest of us give them some time to themselves.
Outside the house, we stop and wait for him on the lawn.
“I have mind linked Jacob what’s going on and he will handle everything here, you have two of your men here, shall they come with us?” Jessie asks and remembering who Cannon brought here I mind link them and ordering for them to head back with us.
They are two of the best warriors to bring with us on this trip, they never hesitate to go into any fight!
“Yes, they are coming!” I tell her when Cannon comes walking out of the house with dark eyes and clenched jaws, he looks furious!
“What’s wrong!” Declan says when he walks past us and heads for the borders without looking our way.
“Nothing!” he barks out before he shifts and shredded his clothes in the air, he stops to pick up a small bag in his mouth before he starts to run from here without saying anything else.
“I don’t like the sound of that!” Declan says when he walks up beside me and I see my other two warriors come running over to where we stand, they have already shifted to their wolves and we all take off our clothes before shifting and start to run after Cannon.
Running after Cannon and trying to catch up with him but he is too fast at the moment and whatever she told him to get him this furious isn’t a good sign!
The run back to the castle goes fast and when I reach the front door Cannon is already back at the door and dressed. I have never seen him run that fast before and it has me alert.
