Chapter 261

A Trap

Sienna felt Philip's hand on her waist suddenly tighten with a hard squeeze!

She couldn't help but let out a sharp sound. "Ah!"

Philip gave her an impatient look. "What's wrong?"

Sienna forced a stiff smile. "Nothing"

It was clear that Philip was displeased, but out of respect for Fraser's presence, he suppressed his anger and took it out on me instead.

Philip curled his lips into a bloodthirsty grins and said coldly, "If you can't even handle a little pressure, what are you going to do tonight?"

The nearby Jayden raised an eyebrow and teased suggestively, "Mr. Philip, this beauty has delicate skin. You should be more gentle with her."

Sienna's face paled even more at their morking words.

Her eyes immediately flicked to Fraser, but when she saw that he wasn't paying attention to her, she exhaled in relief, only to feel a twinge of resentment afterwards.

The men's conversation gradually died down.

Sienna noticed Fraser answering a phone call before getting up and walking out.

She traced her fingers lightly across Philip's chest and whispered, "Mr. Philip, I need to go to the bathroom."

Philip snorted. "You're not thinking of running away, right?"

"Of course not. I came here especially for you tonight."

I wasn't planning to escape; I just wanted to change targets.

The most powerful man in this private room was none other than Fraser, the Horsman of Havenbrook,

Why shall I settle for a middle-aged, pot-bellied man like Philip, who already had a wife and children, when I can go for the very best?

If I can just get close to Fraser... Philip wouldn't dare lay a finger on her for fear of Fraser's influence.

And best of all it would infuriate Summer

Just the thought of it sent a thrill through her.

The hallway of Sonata Bar was bathed in dim, golden light, the air thick with the scent of alcohol and an undercurrent of

seduction

Sienna, who had just stepped out of the private room, spouted Fraser hanging up his phone and turning to leave.

Without hesitation, she pulled down the straps of her dress, exposing her beautiful shoulder. The plunging V-neck of her gown teased a glimpse of her cleavage, barely hiding the alluring curves.

She stumbled forward with purpose, her voice quavering with feigned distress. "Mr. Graham! Mr. Graham! Please, you have to help me!"

Hearing the commotion, Fraser turned and frowned at the sight of Sienna rushing toward him, her dress half undone. Just as she was about to throw herself into his arms, he ducked out of the way.

"Help you with what?" Fraser's indifferent voice came from behind her.

Gritting her teeth, Sienna turned around, her eyes red-rimmed as she looked up at him, a picture of pathetic vulnerability.

"Mr. Graham. I didn't want to bother you, but I have no choice..."

"Mr. Philip forced me to come here tonight. If you don't save me. I'm probably going to get forced by him tonight."

Fraser's expression didn't flicker. His eyes remained icy, his tone distant. "Not my problem."

Sienna blinked, stunned by his callousness. A wave of jealousy, venomous as a snake, coiled in her chest. Before she could stop herself, she blurted out, "Is Summer the only woman you care about?!"

Fraser's lips curled into a cold, mocking smile. "Ms. Sienna, you're overstepping His sharp gaze swept over her, filled with undisguised contempt.

"Even if you stripped naked in front of me, I wouldn't feel a thing. At least put on a better show next time.

Sienna's face flushed with humiliation, then drained of color. Her fists clenched so tightly that her nails dug into her palms.

"Mr. Graham, do you really think Summer is better than me? She cheated on you, and now she's carrying some bastard's child! How can you stand being with a woman like that? What does she have that I don't!!"

Fraser's face instantly darkened. His voice dropped to a frighteningly deep timbre, laced with menace.

"You dare speak of my child?"

Sienna's eyes widened in shock. "What?"

Summer was pregnant with Fraser's child?!

Then why did the records list the father as unknown?!

Unless... those documents were planted by Summer to lure me into a trap!

Fraser let out a chilling laugh. "Ms. Sienna, do I seem like someone who tolerates repeated provocations?"

Before Sienna could process her mistake, Fraser suddenly grabbed her wristand ruthlessly dragged her toward a floor-to-ceiling glass door.

Without a hint of hesitation, he pushed it open.

Outside was an expansive koi pond, its emerald waters wrapping around the luxurious private rooms like a ribbon of jade.

"Ahhh!"

With a terrified scream, Sienna was kicked right into the pond by Fraser.

Chapter 262

A Game of Pride and Prejudice

The water in the koi pond was bone-chilling, seeping deep into her flesh like ice needles.

Sienna's outfit had been flimsy to begin with, and now, completely soaked, the fabric clung to her body like a second skin, leaving little to the imagination.

The commotion immediately drew the attention of the patrons in the surrounding private rooms. Several men opened their glass doors to gawk, some even whistling.

"Look, a mermaid!"

"Why don't you strip and dance for us, honey!"

Humiliation burned through Sienna as she frantically tried to pull at the soaked, sheer fabric of her dress to cover herself.

Fraser, his expression indifferent, casually picked up a towel from a nearby tray and wiped his hands as if touching her had. soiled them.

Philip and his group rushed out

it of the private room, confusion and concern on their faces

"Mr. Graham, what... what happened here?" Philip asked, staring at Sienna struggling in the water.

Fraser threw the towel at him. "Control your own woman, okay?"

Without another word, he turned and walked away.

Philip immediately motioned to a waiter. "Get her out of there now."

When Sienna was finally pulled from the pond, she was shaking violently under the towel draped over her shoulders, but the anger in her eyes burned bright.

Philip towered over her, his voice cracking with anger. "What the hell have you done?!"

Seeing him, Sienna's mind raced. She threw herself against his chest, sobbing uncontrollably.

The crowd around them buzzed with whispers and curious stares.

Unable to bear the spectacle, Philip scooped her up and carried her to's room on the second floor, tossing her unceremoniously onto the bed.

"Explain. What just happened?" he demanded coldly.

Sienna choked back tears. "Mr. Graham.. he thought I was pretty and demanded that I spend the night with him. But LI belong to you, Mr. Philip! I refused, so he got angry and... threw me into the pond..."

Philip's grip on her chin tightened, his sharp eyes boring into hers, searching for any hint of deception.

He had already suffered a recent business loss to Fraser in the Southmere Project deal.

Now, hearing this, his anger ignited like gasoline.

"That bastard!" He paced angrily, fists clenched. First he screws me over in business, and now he dares to steal the woman I brought here?"

Sienna sat on the edge of the bed, tears silently streaming down her face.

In that pond, she had been exposed, humiliated in front of all those leering men.

The memory made her chest ache with unbearable shame.

Fraser. You did this for Summer, didn't you? Fine. I'll make sure you both regret it.

A Game of Pride and Prejudice

Sienna sniffled, her eyes red. "Mr. Philip... you have to help me."

"Help you?" He scoffed. "You think the Dale Group can compete with the Graham Group? Who the hell do you think you are that I'd risk angering Fraser for you?"

Stenna shook her head. "That's not what I meant. I just... I can't stand how unfair this is to you. Fraser did this to taunt you."

Philips eyes darkened, then moved slowly down her body.

Her dress was still soaked, the thin material clinging to her curves, her bare legs gleaming in the dim light..

"You're quite a looker, he murmured, licking his lips.

A shiver of disgust ran down Sienna's spine as she realized, I had just walked into

a wolf's lair.

"Mr. Mr. Philip, LI should shower first."""

Tch Who has time for that?"

In one swift motion. Philip grabbed the front of her dress and ripped it open.

"Ah!"

Sienna's eyes widened in horror as she scrambled to cover herself.

"N.No! I'm not ready."

"You said Fraser wanted you, didn't you?" Philip grinned, his breath reeking of alcohol.

"Imagine how pissed he'll be when he finds out I had you first

With that, he shoved her onto the bed.

Sienna recoiled from the stench of his sweat, her stomach churning as she struggled. "Mr. Philip, wait! Let's take it slow.

But Philip was beyond reason. His hands roamed greedily, his excitement unmistakable.

Then, with a dark chuckle, he pushed himself up slightly.

"Let's make this fun."

Sienna's blood ran cold as she watched him unbuckle his belt

Her breath caught. "No..."

Tears spilled over as she tried to crawl back, but it was too late.

Later Sienna lay motionless on the bed, her body limp, her once pristine back now crisscrossed with angry red welts.

Silent tears streamed down her face as hatred cotled in her chest like a poisonous snake.

Philip was exactly a monster"

But no, I won't let only myself suffer this humiliation alone

If I was going to drown in filth, I would take Summer doen teach me

Chapter 263

Sienna's Evil Plan

Sienna wrapped herself in a robe, wincing through the pain as she stepped away from the bed.

"Mr. Philip." she began, her voice dripping with false sweetness, "I know you want to one-up Fraser. But getting your kicks from me alone can't be that satisfying“.

Philip was lounging on the sofa like a king, idly scrolling through photos of beautiful women on his phone while smoking.

He barely looked up. "Oh? Do you have a better idea?"

Dirty pig!

Sienna hid her disgust with a coy smile. "What if you could have Fraser's ex- girlfriend? She's way prettier than me."

"Ex-girlfriend!"

Sienna had pieced it together, Summer going to prenatal appointments alone, father's name left blank. The only explanation? A falling- outwith Fraser

"Yes, his ex, Fraser, wouldn't lift a finger for her now. But if you had her... She leaned forward, her voice a venomous whisper. "That would mean you'd really taken what belonged to Fraser."

Philip's fingers stopped on his phone. Seeing his interest, Sienna quickly pulled up an old photo of Summer.

The man's eyes darkened with hunger. "Damn. She is gorgeous."

Sienna's lips curled. "I can arrange to have her delivered to you.

Fraser's yellow Vertex growled to a stop in front of the Stewart mansion.

From the driver's seat, he surveyed the lighted windows, then dialed Summer's number.

A red exclamation point appeared.

"Message failed. You've been blocked."

Fraser laughed, low and dangerous. "Well played, Summer"

Without hesitation, he called Mike.

"Call Summer Stewart."

"Sir Mike was questioned.

Mike understood immediately, Boss had been blocked.

Within minutes, Summer's phone was buzzing. Annoyed, she answered, not wanting to disturb Julia.

"Ms. Stewart," Mike said politely, "Mr. Graham is at your

Sienna's Evil Plan

Minutes later, Summer emerged in slippers, a gray cardigan thrown over her white nightgown.

Fraser frowned. Grabbing his tailored suit jacket from the passenger seat, he stepped forward and draped it over her shoulders. The material swallowed her petite frame.

"Are you trying to freeze? His voice was harsh with disapproval.

Summer didn't flinch. "Say what you came here to say and leave."

Fraser's mouth twisted,

"Teh. Still fiery."

But when she didn't soften, his amusement faded. He cupped her face, forcing her to meet his gaze.

"Sorry. I've been dealing with my grandfather's funeral arrangements all week. You ignored me. It was the only way."

Summer turned to leave.

In one motion. Fraser wrapped his arms around her waist, his chin dropping to her shoulder. His grip was unbreakable.

I haven't slept in days."

The scent of gardenias clung to her skin. He inhaled deeply, his exhaustion bleeding into the embrace.

When she didn't pull away, Fraser turned her to face him. His thumb brushed across her cheek.

"Look at me. Don't I deserve one ounce of compassion?"

Summer averted her eyes.

Fraser's voice fell, raw and rare. "So cold to me. What did my grandmother say to you that day? Causing you this. Hmm?"

She took a quick step back and took off Fraser's suit jacket to give it back to him. Thave to go back now"

"Just like that?" Fraser said with upset.

"My mother is calling me."

Fraser's Marriage Proposal

Fraser lowered his eyes to look at her and said softly. At least let my account out from the blacklist before you go.

Summer continued to look anxiously at the mansion. She didn't want Julia to discover them

"You are so capable. Even without my contact information, you managed to summon me tonight

"That's different"

He took out his cell phone and made a call.

"Come out. Let's drink and talk"

Summer hurried back inside.

Julia looked past Summer with meaningful eyes. "Why were you out so late?"

Summer seemed slightly uncomfortable. The moon was out tonight, so I went for a walk."

Julia didn't

press further. “I just called your aunt. Since we're going to be moving there in : few months, I asked her to help us

find a house first."

Noticing Summer's distracted silence, Julia asked. "Summer, what's wrong?"

Summer pulled the shawl around her shoulders and looked at Julia. "Mom, when a man wants to marry a woman when she's pregnant, is it because he loves her or just because of the child?"

Ever since Julia had gone and begged Helen herself and been thoroughly humiliated, she understood completely that old woman was domineering, stubborn, and closed-minded.

Even if Summer married into that family one day, she would never have a good life.

So Julia had long since given up on that hope.

Julia composed herself and said, "From what I know about men, the man's just cherishing this child. Summer, as someone who has been through this, men will say all kinds of sweet words at the beginning, but after marriage it's always the same. Isn't Jasper the perfect example?"

Summer made a small sound of acknowledgement.

"Now that we ve made our decision. I think you should focus on getting things done at the Stewart Group"

Summer pressed her lips together. "Alright."

Lucas's Confession

Summer asked, "Why did you pick this place?

Lucas thought, Is she still uncomfortable because of the memory of booking this restaurant for her ex-boyfriend?"

"My apologies. I just thought this was where we first met. If it makes you uncomfortable, we can change the place."

Summer waved her hand. "It's okay, it's all in the past."

She had completely moved on from Trevor.

Soon the waiter brought out plate after plate of exquisitely prepared food.

The smell of fish made Summer nauseous, and she instinctively gagged.

Now, my sensitivity to smells had improved, but seafood, especially fish, was still unbearable

Lucas looked concerned. "Is there something you don't like?"

Summer swallowed hard. "I need to use the bathroom first"

After composing herself in the bathroom, Summer slowly walked out to find Lucas waiting at the door, holding out a warm, damp towel.

She took it and wiped her hands before smiling faintly.

"Mr. Lucas, has anyone ever told you how thoughtful you are?"

Lucas looked at her with soft eyes, his tone playful. I rarely dine with women, and men certainly don't compliment me on my thoughtfulness. You're the first."

When Summer returned to the table, she noticed that all the seafood and fish dishes had been cleared away.

This man's powers of observation are unnervingly keen.

"Both times we've eaten together, you've had this reaction. Is it stomach trouble? I know an excellent traditional doctor who can help.

No

I couldn't say it was because of the pregnancy.

The meal was pleasant enough. Lucas recommended three potential candidates to the Stewart group.

As they neared the end, Lucas poured Summer a glass of warm water and casually asked, "Summer, why leave Havenbrook? If something's bothering you, maybe I can help."

"Mr. Lucas, you have helped me many times,"

Lucas' deep. gentle eyes held hers, his lips curving into a tender smile.

You're being too formal. I've asked you before not to call me 'Mr. Lucas. If you don't mind, you can call me Lucas."

Summer hesitated

I'd rarely met men like him. Cultured, refined, distinguished in manner.

Since I'd met Lucas, he'd treated everyone with the same courtesy and humility, never looking down on others despite his status. I hadn't thought much of it before.

But not a woman's intuition pricked me.

Lucas's Confession

Lucas studied her intently

"Summer, I like you a lot. Would you give me a chance!"

Summer's grip on her glass tightened. She bit her lip. Tm sorry"

Lucas nodded and smiled gracefully.

For days, Sienna had schemed ways to lure Summer out, but with her number blocked, no amount of feigned goodwill worked.

Stalking her was the only option left.

The Dynamo pulled up to the gates just as Julia returned home.

Lucas got out with Summer and greeted her politely. "Good evening. Madam Julia"

Julia studied the man in the gray suit, his upright posture, his handsome yet gentle features, and his refined demeanor.

"And you are?"

Summer hummed absent-mindedly and headed upstairs to the shower.

Julia followed closely. "Does he like you?"

Summer frowned. Was it that obvious?

Summer became increasingly uncomfortable.

Instinctively, she clutched at her stomach, but the drug worked quickly. Her vision blurred, her limbs grew heavy, and darkness swallowed her consciousness.

As Lucas saw Summer lying unconscious on the bed, anger flashed in his eyes.

After making sure her clothes were still intact, he exhaled in relief. Then turned around and punched Philip in the face.

"You scum!"

Caught off guard, Philip staggered back several steps.

He wiped the blood from his lip and grinned.

"You think I'm afraid of you, Lucas?"

Lucas looked menacing. "You can't touch her."

Philip scoffed "Oh So you want her too! I could have just said so. I would have sent her to your room when I was done."

Seeing her awake, Philip lost interest.

He kicked a chair violently.

"Lucas Aldridge, are you ruining my fun? This isn't over."

He grabbed his clothes from the floor and dressed, giving Summer a predatory look.

"We'll meet again, honey."

Summer met Philip's vicious gaze, and only then did she realize the danger she was in.

Her heart pounded as she frantically checked her clothes.

Lucas gently reassured her, "You're safe, Summer. Nothing happened."

Still shaken, she whispered, "You... saved me. Thank you. Mr. Lucas

Lucas smiled, lightening the mood. "Does that thank you get me extra points in your heart?"

Summer avoided his intense stare, unsure of how to respond.

A pause

"Worst case, induced abortion."

The word "abortion made Summer's blood run cold. Her fingers dug into her palms.

Chapter 270

Tears and Comfort

The doctor noticed that the woman's face had turned deathly pale.

There is nothing to worry about. Induced abortion is just the worst-case scenario. There may be nothing wrong. Go get checked out first."

Standing nearby, Lucas froze when he heard Summer say she was pregnant.

After the tests, Summer and Lucas sat on a bench in the hospital corridor.

"Is there something you want to ask me?" Summer said.

Lucas hesitated for a moment. "So this is why you rejected me.

Summer stared blankly at the examination room in the distance.

The smell of disinfectant permeated the air.

The cold, sterile atmosphere of the hospital was inescapable.

"Yes and no." She replied.

"Is the father of the child the man from last time?" Lucas asked quietly.

Summer remained silent.

Her stomach had been cramping since she awoke.

A feeling of dread and fear enveloped her.

Even with Lucas by her side, he couldn't dispel the terror in her heart.

What if... because of her carelessness, my baby...

She didn't dare think any further.

Seeing how pale Summer looked, Lucas felt a pang of heartache. He was still reeling from the shock of her pregnancy.

But he knew what to

to say and what not to say.

Lucas comforted her. The results aren't in yet. There's nothing to worry about.

I'm going to get you some water. Wait here for me.

After Lucas left, Summer stared numbly at her phone.

Her fingers absently traced its edges, lost in thought.

Suddenly, a series of hurried, heavy footsteps approached from down the hall. Summer looked up.

A tall, familiar figure came into view

Before she could hide her emotions, her eyes stung-

A flood of feelings-guilt, confusion, grief, and resentment-washed over her

Fraser walked over and knelt on one knee in front of her. His dark eyes swept over her from head to toe, confirming that she was unharmed.

Seeing her pallor, his heart ached.

Tears and Comfort

The moisture in Summer's eyes finally spilled over.

At first I hadn't wanted this child.

But later I had decided to keep it.

That decision had taken a lot of courage and hope.

If anything happened tonight because of me....

I will never forgive myself

Fraser watched her tears fall.

The crystal-clear drops seemed to pierce his chest.

He reached out to wipe her cheeks, his thumb brushing away the wetness at the corners of her eyes. His voice was tender. You're a grown woman, and you're still crying like this."

For once, Summer didn't argue.

She had no strength left.

Inside, she trembled with fear.

Suddenly she reached out and wrapped her arms tightly around Fraser, burying her face in his neck.

Her grip was desperate, as if she was afraid of losing something precious. Fraser's eyes flickered. Slowly, he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her tightly against him. His dark eyes were filled with pain.

Meanwhile, Lucas, who had just returned with water, saw Summer throw herself into another man's embrace

His expression remained the same, but his usually gentle eyes began to darken. Lucas didn't approach.

After standing for a moment, he placed the water bottle on the hospital bench, turned, and walked away, with his silhouette lonely.

Summer wept silently, her body shaking.

Her tears slid down Fraser's neck, seeping into his shirt, scalding, stinging. Fraser's heart felt like it was being violently squeezed. The pain spread from his chest to his entire body, even his breath became feverish!

Was this woman made of water!

How could there be so many tears!!

The more she cried, the more I wanted to destroy everyone who made her suffer.

Fraser's voice was hoarse, laced with restraint. "Summer, even if... we can have another child. Whenever you want."

After crying for a while, Summer regained some composure. She pulled away, sniffling softly.

"I past want this one."

Fraser's gaze deepened, staring straight into her eyes. His tone was commanding

yet firm. “Good. Then she won't dare have any problems. Otherwise. I'll spank her."

Tears and Comfort

Summer suddenly remembered something. "How did you get here?"

Fraser narrowed his eyes, his expression unreadable. He scoffed.

"Your friend has no fear of death. She blocked my car alone, crying and rambling.

But tonight's mess is partly her fault, too,

Summer understood. Merry had gone to find Fraser
