Chapter 311

The grand hall of our estate echoed with the sound of my father's growl, a deep, guttural noise that sent shivers down my spine. His voice was like thunder, reverberating off the walls and filling the room with an oppressive tension. I stood in the center of the room, my shoulders stiff, my jaw clenched as I faced him. His eyes, usually calm and calculating, were now dark with anger, the outer rim of his irises turning black as his wolf threatened to surface.

"What the fuck were you thinking?" he roared, his voice shaking the very foundations of the room. His fists were clenched at his sides, his chest heaving with barely contained rage. "Were you insane?"

I opened my mouth to respond, but my mother stepped forward, her expression a mix of disappointment and frustration.

"Kael, we thought you had a plan," she said, her voice sharp and cutting. "This... this is not what we expected."

I did have a plan. A damn good one, or so I thought. I had planted a spy behind Ezra, the Blackwood heir, and arranged for him to meet with a rogue. The spy was supposed to gather evidence- photos, videos, anything that could tarnish Ezra's reputation. The rogue was supposed to play his part, to make it look like Ezra was involved in something shady, something that would disqualify him from the Royal Beta lineage. But things had gone sideways. The spy's camera had been taken by another rogue-or so he claimed. I had been disappointed, but I wasn't ready to give up. I thought the Moon Goddess was on my side,

1

We got another chance. The spy managed to take more photos of Ezra, and I thought this was it. My plan was to present the evidence to the council, to discredit Ezra and force Lilac to come to me for help. I knew her well- she would do anything to protect her brother. And I would be her savior, the one who could make the council forgive Ezra. In exchange, she would marry me, and I would secure the Blackwood family's support. Ezra, of course, couldn't be my Beta- Coco didn't like him- but I could appoint another alpha, someone powerful, to form a strong alliance.

But it all went to hell. The trap had been set for me, not Ezra. And Alexander, of all people, had stepped in. He wasn't even the Alpha yet, but he had enough influence to turn the tables on me. The council had seen through my plan, and I had been humiliated in front of everyone.

"What made you think you could spy on a minor, let alone the Royal Beta lineage?" my father growled, his voice low and dangerous. His wolf was close to the surface now, his eyes glowing with a feral light.

"Kael, answer him," my mother snapped, her tone icy.

I clenched my fists, my frustration boiling over. "You knew I had a plan, Mom. Why didn't you stop me then if you didn't like it?"

The slap came out of nowhere, the sound sharp and stinging. My head snapped

to the side, my cheek burning from the impact. I was dumbfounded, my mind reeling as I stared at my mother.

something else there too- disappointment, maybe even fear.

"That woman will be the end of you," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "Your marriage to Lilac was perfect. Her brother being the Royal Beta was even better. Together, they would have given you strength and wealth. They would have supported you to be the next Alpha King. And you threw it all away for that filthy little whore."

Her words hit me harder than the slap. She was right. Lilac had been the perfect match for me, the ideal Luna. She was strong, loyal, and from a powerful family. Coco, on the other hand, was a secret, a weakness. But she had a way of getting under my skin, of making me do things I wouldn't normally do. And yet, she wasn't enough. She wasn't Lilac.

"We've spent our entire lives preparing you to be the next Alpha King," my mother continued, her voice rising with each word. "And this is what you do? You throw away everything we've worked for, for a mere omega?"

"Calm down, Cassandra," my father said, pulling her into his chest. His voice was firm, but there was a hint of weariness in his tone. Ho

was tired-tired of my mistakes, tired of cleaning up my

messes.

"Look at him, Darius!" my mother cried, her voice breaking. "Look at what he's done!"

I felt a pang of guilt, a flicker of regret. "Mom," I said, my voice softer now. "I didn't mean for it to go this way."

But before she could respond, the door to the hall burst open, and a warrior stepped inside. He bowed low, his expression grim as he handed my father a tablet. “Alpha, you should see this," he said, his voice tense.

I didn't need to look at the screen to know what was on it. The sound was enough.

"The most eligible contender for the future Alpha King, Kael Reventhorn, was caught spying on a minor wolf."

My father's jaw tightened as he swiped the screen, the next headline playing automatically.

"Kael Reventhorn was caught targeting the Royal Betas once again. He wasn't done even after he ditched his fiancée, Lilac Blackwood, during their engagement ceremony. This time, he went after Ezra Blackwood."

"The name of the Royal Beta family was tarnished by the Royals. Is this a rivalry between two families or two old lovers?"

"Many werewolves are asking Kael to step down from the election."

"The Blackwoods were bullied again by the royalties."

"Kael Reventhorn- is he truly worthy to be the next Alpha King?"

My father's grip on the tablet tightened, his knuckles turning white. With a growl, he threw it

"Great," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You're trending everywhere."

This was bad. Really bad. If this stayed up, I would lose my chance at the throne. My family would be forced to leave the castle, the home I had grown up in. Everything we had worked for would be taken away by some stranger.

"You will fix this," my father said, his voice cold and final. "You will apologize publicly to Lilac, to Ezra, and to the Blackwoods. And you will make it right."

racing. 1

I nodded, my mind racing. I had to fix this, no matter what it took. But as I stood there, the weight of my mistakes pressing down on me, I couldn't help but wonder if it was already too late.

I sat in my study, a glass of whiskey in my hand, the amber liquid swirling as I stared at the empty fireplace. The events of the day played on a loop in my mind, each mistake, each misstep, haunting me like a ghost. I had been so close, so close to securing my future, and now it was slipping through my fingers.

The door creaked open, and Coco stepped inside, her presence a familiar comfort. She walked over to me, her hips swaying with each and my desk. "Rough day?" she asked, her voice soft and teasing.

I didn't respond, my eyes fixed on the glass in my hand. Suddenly I felt disgusted

by her presence. It it weren't for her, Lilac and I would have been engaged. Mom was right. I should have rejected her.

"How did you show up in the palace that night?" I asked.

Was it always on her plan? I felt way too coincidental for her to be there, and a

rogue attack at the same time, that too in the castle of Alpha King.

"Kael," she said, her tone more serious now. "Don't you trust me? soon as I came

to the castle, those rogues jumped on me."

I looked up at her, my eyes meeting hers.

"Is that so?" I said, my voice was cold.

She reached out, her fingers brushing against my cheek, and I flinched at the

touch.

And her touch always finds a way to my heart. Was this the spell of mate bond? I liked and hated it at the same time.

"I wished I never had met you, Coco", I said, my voice heavy with regret. "I messed up big time."

She bit her bottom lips, her expression sad.

"Reject me then, if that's what you want," she said, her voice filled with sadness.

"I know I am not as good as Lilac and that's why you still haven't marked me. I am unworthy to be your Luna. If that's so, then be it. I will never be in your way, Kael."

Chapter 312

Power Shift

August and Sharon were ashen-faced, blood draining from their faces as they collapsed into their. chairs in shock and fear, while the servants and family doctors present lowered their heads even further.

At that moment, it became clear to everyone that there had been a seismic shift within the Graham family-the lady of the house had changed.

Helen was promptly escorted to a room in the back of the house, where the door was closed and.. guarded by two motionless bodyguards.

Meanwhile, August and Sharon were escorted out of the Graham Mansion by the servants.

In the back seat of the stretched Rolls-Royce, Sharon and August sat with expressions that were beyond ugly-they were ferocious. Sharon clenched her fists, repeatedly pounding the dashboard, her eyes blazing with fury.

"I'm so angry! This woman isn't just formidable, she's enchanted Fraser and now has Helen locked up! Could it be that all of the Graham family's assets will eventually be snatched away by this wretched woman, Summer!"

After venting, Sharon turned to August, "August! Say something! If the Graham family ends up under her control, I'd rather it be ours!"

August scoffed, "You're upset, but what can your frustration do? You know what kind of man Fraser is!"

Sharon knew too well; Fraser appeared laid-back and casual, but beneath that demeanor, he was ruthless and heartless.

Realizing this, Sharon's spirit deflated.

She pounded her hands in frustration, her voice weak with desperation, "Are we just going to watch Aunt Helen be imprisoned and this woman take over the Graham family's wealth?"

A sinister look flashed in Sharon's eyes, "Ah! I can't stand it! Does that woman deserve this?"

A cruel smile curled on August's lips.

"Impossible! The annual corporate meeting of the Graham Group is coming up..

Sharon, you should meet each elder and shareholder of the Graham Group. At the meeting, they'll put pressure on Fraser. Even if he insists on having his way, he surely can't disregard the entire Graham Group. If that's the case, we'll move to another plan and let Helen take power! Aunt Helen has already lost faith in Fraser, and then, won't our family be in control?"

Hearing this, Sharon finally felt a surge of relief, a smile breaking across her face for the first time today, "You always know what to do, August. Hahaha!"

Back at the Graham Mansion in the dining room.

Fraser had the servants leave. The dining room finally fell silent.

It was as if the recent turbulence had never happened.

Now, it was just Summer and Fraser alone.

Thinking about the harsh words she had blurted out carlier, Summer felt uneasy and stood up from her chair, "I... I need to head to the office."

As she turned and was about to step away, Fraser's hand swiftly encircled her slender waist and pulled her down onto his lap, enveloping her in his strong embrace.

He picked up a bowl of bird's nest soup from the table, his posture regal as he spoon-fed her.

"You haven't eaten anything yet. Have some breakfast before you go."

Summer took the soup spooned to her lips and after finishing, glanced up at him briefly.

His handsome face remained calm, his long eyelashes casting a shadow over his deep, obsidian- like eyes, as if nothing had happened.

Fraser caught her cautious gaze, his voice casual but deep, "What, is there something on my face that you keep staring at?"

Summer looked away, her mind replaying her earlier words.

Now I've really cemented myself as the woman who climbed the ranks by leveraging her child.

Thinking it over, she felt the need to explain.

Earlier I..."

Fraser's gaze deepened, intensely fixed on Summer as he gently touched her soft hair, his voice carrying a hint of indulgent amusement, "You did great earlier."

Her eyelashes fluttered slightly at his words.

She had indeed stirred the Graham family into chaos once again.

"Fraser, Helen is still your grandmother. Don't you think I... went too far?"

Fraser's expression didn't waver; his eyes were cold.

Helen's attempt to strike Summer was also an attack on him.

"She hurt you, and I gave her a chance."

He finished feeding her the bird's nest soup, spoon by spoon. Setting down the

howl his long fingers lifted Summer's chin Fa His voice was serious, "Summer, remember, no one can bully you, not even me. Actually, I was pleased earlier; you're learning to fight back."

Chapter 313

Behind Every Great Woman

Fraser continued to speak, "One is fearless only when they are strong, and I hope my Summer can become a brave woman. This isn't to say I won't protect you, but I'd rather you feel free to do anything as long as it makes you happy."

Summer gazed into Fraser's firm and profound eyes, which seemed to tell her, Just be bold and do as you please: I've got your back.

Unexpectedly, her eyes welled

up with tears, and a lump formed in her throat.

A flood of emotions overwhelmed her. No one had ever said such things to her before. His kindness made her feel like she shouldn't use him to deal with Helen.

Fraser's long fingers caressed her face as he soothed her in a low voice, "Pregnant women shouldn't cry too often. I didn't say all this to make you cry.

Summer stubbornly retorted, "Who says I'm crying."

Fraser laughed, his indulgence reaching deep into his bones, "Alright, alright, maybe I was mistaken.

His fingertips gently traced her blushing lips, his voice sultry, "Summer, I want to hear you call me again."

"What?"

Fraser's eyes, shimmering like the water, playfully fixed on Summer, his expression expectant as he whispered, "What did you call me earlier, hmm?"

She had called him "honey."

At the thought, Summer's face turned red.

It was just to tease him earlier, but now his direct and suggestive gaze was on her,

Summer felt a bit shy and found herself unable to say it, especially with him not letting her off the hook.

Fraser's lips brushed against her ear, his voice seductive as he nibbled her earlobe, "Come on, call me like you did before."

The warm breath he exhaled near her ear sent shivers down her spine, reminding

her of how sensual his lips had been the night before.

Summer felt that if she stayed any longer, she might completely lose her composure.

She immediately stood up from his embrace.

I need to go to work. I'm going to be late!"

Behind Every Great Woman

At the Stewart Group, after Summer arrived at the office.

Winston knocked and entered her office, reporting the day's schedule as usual.

"Ms. Stewart, you have an interview scheduled with 'The Insider Report' at 3 PM. This interview will be a one-on-one with some audience members present, primarily discussing the rumors. from your last press conference. Although The Insider Report' is influential nationwide, they are known for digging deep into personal gossip and creating sensational stories, so you might face some very personal questions, Ms. Stewart."

As Winston reported, Summer's phone chimed on the desk.

While listening to Winston, she opened WhatsApp.

Fraser typed, "Honey, what time do you get off work tonight? I'll pick you up, okay? Remember, you owe me from this morning; I'll expect it tonight."

Fraser was already asking when she was getting off work, and she had just arrived.

This man, really!

But as Summer's fingers brushed over the phone screen, a slight smile formed on her lips.

"Ms. Stewart?"

After finishing his report, Winston saw Summer staring at her phone with a smile, unsure if she had heard him clearly.

Summer snapped back to reality and regained her composure.

"Proceed as planned."

Winston was stunned. Hopefully, today's interview goes smoothly.

At 3 PM. The studio of 'The Insider Report' was spacious and bright, with ceilings

three and a half meters high and massive lights neatly arranged at the top. Several cameramen were positioned by the stage.

About 500 audience members sat on tiered steps. Today's interview was broadcast live.

The spotlight illuminated the stage as brightly as daylight, and reporter Francis picked up the microphone to introduce the session.

"After the Stewart Group's last press conference, interest in Ms. Stewart's personal life has skyrocketed. Today, we've invited Summer here to address these topics. Please welcome the president of the Stewart Group, Summer, to the stage."

The audience applauded vigorously.

Dressed in a classic Chanel suit that perfectly accentuated her slender waist, Summer gracefully

She approached the seat opposite Francis and sat down with poise and grace.

Francis' face bore a professionally trained smile.

"Ms. Stewart, welcome to "The Insider Report. It's a pleasure to have you. Please

say hello to our eager viewers here and at home."

Summer turned slightly toward the camera, ready to engage.

Chapter 314

The Spotlight.

"Hello everyone, I'm Summer, the head of Stewart Group. I apologize for the personal matters that have caused a stir recently, so I'm here today to clarify a few things."

Francis, holding his interview notes, started asking the hot-button questions listed.

"Ms. Stewart, before we discuss who your boyfriend is, our audience has some questions they're curious about."

Francis knew that Summer was here mainly to clear up the rumors.

But to keep the ratings up, he decided to heighten the audience's curiosity about Summer's boyfriend first.

"Go ahead," Summer said.

"Can

you describe what kind of person your boyfriend is?"

Thinking of Fraser and all that had happened between them lately, she recalled

his audacious and carefree demeanor, his laid-back approach that

he could also be very gentle and quite dominating, med to handle everything effortlessly. Yet,

her presence.

Summer smiled, "He's a man who makes me feel very secure."

Francis replied, "It sounds like Ms. Stewart's boyfriend is quite the partner! How did you two

meet?"

"It was simple," Summer said, "he saved me."

Francis continued, “Wow, he saved you, and you feel secure with him. Can you describe how you two usually interact?"

“Though he occasionally irritates me, most of the time, he's actually very gentle." The audience reacted, connecting the dots to Lucas of Aldridge Group, known for his charm and elegance.

The crowd began to murmur, "It must be Lucas! They should get together!"

Francis noted the audience's reaction, "It seems like everyone has guessed who Summer's boyfriend might be, right?"

Suddenly, the camera panned to a man in the crowd.

Lucas was there, dressed in a silver-gray suit, standing with a gentlemanly demeanor.

Francis' eyes lit up.

"We didn't evnert Mr Trac from Aldridge Crown to be here today Is he here herance he's

The audience got excited, shouting, "Official announcement! Marriage!"

Summer was startled to see Lucas there.

Francis, leaving Summer aside, stood in the middle of the stage and shouted, "Let's invite Mr. Lucas to join us on stage.

Backstage, Winston was flabbergasted and rushed to the producer.

"This isn't right, isn't today's interview supposed to be about Ms. Stewart? Why is Lucas being brought up on stage?"

The producer, thrilled, said, "What do you know? This is what makes an interview!"

Meanwhile, at the Graham Group's opulent office.

Fraser lounged in his office chair, legs casually crossed, as he picked up a crystal photo album from the desk.

His dark

gaze was fixed on a little girl in the album, his fingertips brushing over her image, at slight smile on his lips.

After all these turns, Summer, you finally came back to me.

Just then, there was a knock on the office door.

Mike, hearing the man inside say "Come in," opened the door and gestured for Jamie, the Vice President of Public Relations, to enter.

Jamie had been summoned by Fraser's assistant, Mike, earlier that morning.

He was responsible for managing the global public relations of the Graham Group.

Such a surmmons likely meant something significant was about to be announced. Jamie walked into the office, standing before the desk, looking at the regal and handsome man seated there, "Mr. Graham, what do you need?"

Fraser set the photo frame back on the desk neatly, his voice low and casual, "Issue a global announcement on the Graham Group's official website today."

Nearing the contents of the announcement, Jamie's face showed unmistakable shock, his voice trembling.

"Mr. Graham, are you confirming... a marriage with Ms. Stewart from the Stewart Group? Forgive my bluntness, but your marriage has implications not just within Graham Group but also for broader social dynamics. I recommend that holding a shareholders' meeting might be... prudent."

Jamie felt a chill run down his spine as Fraser's icy gaze swept over him, goosebumps rising on

his skin.

Jamie bowed his head lower. "Mr. Graham, I... didn't mean that, it's just... this is really... significant."

Chapter 315

Fraser's Bold Move

Suddenly, Fraser's phone buzzed with a message on his desk.

Glancing coldly at Jamie, Fraser picked up the phone; it was a video of a live interview sent by Xavier.

As Fraser watched the video, his brow furrowed deeply. He stood up abruptly, clearly out of patience, and issued a direct command.

"Within half an hour, I want to see an announcement on the Graham Group's official website about my wedding date with Summer. If not, the announcement will be your resignation notice."

With that, he grabbed his coat from the back of his chair and left without a backward glance.

Jamie stood frozen, watching Fraser's departing figure, on the verge of tears.

At "The Insider Report" studio, a spotlight fell on Lucas as he walked onto the stage with calm and steady steps. As he sat down next to Summer, the scene ignited the audience's enthusiasm, their cheers and screams nearly overturning the venue..

Lucas' demeanor was gentle as jade, his soft gaze on Summer clearly filled with affection. The two appeared a perfect match, like a couple straight out of a romantic drama.

Summer frowned slightly and whispered, "Why are you here?"

Lucas responded, "I was just worried about your interview today and came to check on you. I didn't expect the reporters to call me-up here."

Summer was momentarily speechless, unsure of whom to blame.

She had intended to use this interview to clear up the rumors about her and Lucas.

Seeing how the interviewer, Francis, was steering the conversation, it seemed the waters were only getting muddier. Francis, pleased with himself, returned to his seat.

They had known Lucas was in the audience and had orchestrated the stunt for this reason.

"The Insider Report" was focused on chasing ratings and hot topics. The actual intentions of the people involved hardly mattered to them.

Francis continued the interview with a smile.

"Now that Mr. Lucas has joined us on stage, how about we interview both of them together? What do you say, folks?"

The audience applauded enthusiastically, and the interview quickly turned into a couples' talk show.

Summer stood un from her seat. "I'm sorry I don't accent..."

Fraser's Bold Move

Before she could finish, Francis interrupted her.

"Ms. Stewart, hold on! Our live viewers have just reached 9 million. Everyone is curious about your story. You can't just walk out like you did at the last press conference."

Trapped by his words, Summer realized leaving would only make it harder to clarify things later.

Seizing the moment, Francis asked, "Mr. Lucas, when did you start falling for our Ms. Stewart?"

This question immediately framed them as a couple.

Just then, the doors to the interview stage were slowly opened.

Everyone's attention was drawn to the sound, and they turned to see a

distinguished and handsome man entering with a casual stride.

"Why don't you ask me that question?"

With this interjection, everyone in the studio turned to look.

The man, dressed in a dark gray suit with a deep-colored tie, exuded an air of formal, yet effortlessly elite grace.

As he walked in, every move he made drew everyone's attention.

Even the cameras and spotlights frantically focused on him, turning all the audience members. into mere backdrops.

His commanding presence made everyone feel this was no ordinary man.

Indeed, it wasn't. On stage, Francis, who was regarded as the top interviewer, received a message through his earpiece..

"Havenbrook's Mr. Graham has arrived! Grab this opportunity!"

Even Francis, known as the king of interviews, couldn't help but tremble slightly, whispering into. his earpiece, "The millionaire from Havenbrook, the Graham Group? He... he's here?"

"It seems he's here for Summer. Looks like a classic love triangle scenario. Nail this, and your career in the interview industry will double."

Francis was thrilled and immediately turned to the audience,

"Wow, we're incredibly lucky at "The Insider Report' today! Mr. Graham from Havenbrook has graced us with his presence! Let's invite this prince on stage."

As the audience learned that this man was the richest man from Havenbrook, the studio erupted into chaos, with screams filling the air.

Even the viewers outside the live broadcast shot up from 9 million to 30 million!

Chapter 316

Flirting with Fame

Summer froze for a moment when she saw Fraser appear. Why has he come, and why so conspicuously?

Lucas, sitting beside her, darkened his gaze subtly.

The audience below started buzzing.

"I didn't expect to see Mr. Graham, the wealthiest man in Havenbrook, at an interview show. Impressive!"

"Mr. Graham is too handsome. Even a simple suit shows off his perfect physique!"

But why did Mr. Graham come? Did he just mention something about having feelings for Summer? Wow, this is turning into a real showdown."

"Pity, Summer is already with Lucas and they have a child. Even Mr. Graham probably can't win

her now."

"If I were pregnant and Mr. Graham came for me, I'd choose him!"

Fraser strode up to the stage, bathed in the spotlight, and sat down nonchalantly on the couch. next to Summer, unlike Lucas, who kept a half-arm's distance away on her right.

Fraser sat right beside her, draping his long arm casually over the back of the couch, his legs casually crossed.

From every angle, it looked as if he enveloped her in his embrace.

Fraser glanced at her, her lashes long and curled under the lights, her gaze lowered, lost in thought.

Leaning in, he whispered, "Why didn't you tell me about today's interview, hmm?"

Suddenly, his strong scent of pine enveloped her.

Summer's face flushed. She wasn't a celebrity; she wasn't used to being so public.

Yet, Fraser behaved as intimately as if they were alone.

Summer bit her lip, "Today's interview was to clear up some rumors from the press conference."

That explained why Summer hadn't told him, though she hadn't expected the topic to shift like

this.

Oh?"

Fraser's eyes darkened as he smirked, his voice low and suggestive, "So, it's about clarification, not

neing ma?"

Flirting with Fame

His presence was overwhelming, and Summer couldn't help but edge away slightly, saying, "You're here now."

So blatantly.

Fraser chuckled, his tone playful yet ambiguous, "Seems like I still don't have a place, alright, I guess I need to take initiative myself."

What is he talking about?

Summer couldn't help but roll her eyes at him as the audience watched their flirty exchange, suddenly realizing-

Are they openly flirting? What is going on?

Lucas' expression remained inscrutable, his loneliness palpable even through the

screen.

Francis, slightly awkward, cleared his throat and continued the interview.

"Mr. Graham, good to see you. Are you here for Ms. Stewart today?"

Fraser lifted his eyelids, a slight smirk on his lips, "Otherwise, did you think I came for you?"

The audience fell silent, then burst into laughter. Mr. Graham knew how to imply. Caught off guard, Francis' face tinged with embarrassment, but his years of experience helped him quickly regain composure.

"Mr. Graham, as the saying goes, knights joust for a damsel's hand. And Ms. Stewart is certainly beautiful. You might not be aware, Mr. Graham, but Ms. Stewart is already spoken for; her boyfriend is a kind man who gives her a great sense of security."

"Oh?"

Fraser raised an eyebrow, his deep gaze fixating on her, his voice sultry, "Your boyfriend is warm, and gives you a sense of security."

With each word he spoke, Summer's blush deepened, and by the end, her cheeks were nearly aflame.

How unprofessional this reporter was! To repeat everything she had just confided. Summer closed her eyes briefly, "He's making things up!"

Fraser's gaze softened, then his lips curled into a smile, the amusement reaching his eyes.

Looking at Francis, he commanded, "Could you repeat that? I didn't quite catch

it."

Francis' eyebrows twitched. Is my earlier statement that hard to understand? Chapter 316 Flirting with Fame

"Ms. Stewart said her boyfriend is a man who gives her a great sense of security. Though he occasionally annoys her, he's mostly very gentle to her."

Summer remained silent. No need for such detail.

Fraser's gaze deepened, nonchalantly adding, "So, that's how I am in your heart." Send Gifts

Chapter 317

Proposal on the Spot

Summer chuckled nervously, murmuring. "Just dealing with the media."

Francis was puzzled. How could Mr. Graham not be upset about hearing his rival's name?

Instead, Fraser seemed rather pleased..

Francis had hoped to stir up a confrontation between Fraser and Lucas during the interview- imagining a month's worth of headlines for "The Insider Report."

Francis coughed and straightened up, "Mr. Graham, aren't you jealous?"

Fraser's voice was lazily nonchalant, "Why would I be jealous of myself?"

The audience erupted again.

"That means the boyfriend Summer just described is Mr. Graham!"

"Really?"

"Isn't it supposed to be Lucas? I still believe Summer's boyfriend is Lucas. Mr. Graham doesn't. really fit the 'gentle' description!"

"You don't understand, men can be very gentle in front of the woman they love. My boyfriend is just like that."

Francis felt like he was losing control of the interview.

"Hehe, Mr. Graham sure knows how to joke. Ms. Stewart was describing her boyfriend as being like Mr. Lucas, right?" he turned to Lucas, hoping for confirmation.

Lucas, with his dark, intense eyes, glanced at the couple intimately seated beside him.

Since Fraser had arrived, Summer hadn't even spared Lucas a single glance.

It seemed her eyes, much like her heart, could only accommodate Fraser. Not even a tiny space left for anyone else.

Thinking of this, Lucas felt a deep, aching pang in his heart.

Seeing Lucas' crestfallen expression and getting no response, Francis awkwardly forced a smile. "Then... then let's ask Ms. Stewart to clear it up for us. Who is her boyfriend?"

At that moment, Fraser leaned slightly forward, his voice low and relaxed as it traveled through. the microphone.

"Next month, Summer and I will officially hold our wedding. The global announcement from the

This simple statement, amplified by the microphone, resonated clearly throughout the venue.

Everyone instantly checked their smartphones.

It was written on the top trending list, "Today, the Graham Group officially announced that its CEO, Fraser, and Stewart Group's Summer are getting married next month."

After a brief silence, the venue exploded into even more fervent discussion.

Lucas clenched his fists tightly, a dark shadow looming over him as if he were drowning in darkness.

Francis was flabbergasted. He had completely misread the situation! What a blunder!

His mind racing, Francis quickly tried to recover.

"Fantastic! Let's give a warm round of applause to Mr. Graham and Summer!"

Cheers and congratulations flooded the live chat.

"Wishing Mr. Graham and Summer a happy and fruitful marriage!"

"Wishing Mr. Graham and Summer love and joy!"

"Wishing Mr. Graham and Summer a lifetime of happiness together!"

Summer also saw the explosive official announcement from the Graham Group. Announcing the CEO's marriage in a public company would normally require a shareholders' meeting.

And that morning, August and Sharon had caused quite a stir.

They seemed determined to oppose Summer joining the Graham family at all costs.

Though she relished the thought of seeing Helen distraught, she didn't want to make things difficult for Fraser.

Summer bit her lip. "Fraser, isn't this a bit hasty?"

Fraser twirled a strand of her soft hair, "I want everyone to know about us, and I can't wait another moment."

Francis, caught up in the excitement of the audience, asked, "Mr. Graham, would you mind giving us a quick interview?"

"Sure, Fraser responded nonchalantly, holding Summer's hand and gently caressing her fingertips.

"And when did you first fall for Ms. Stewart?" Francis inquired after a brief pause.

Beside her. Summer heard Fraser's deep voice. "Before I even understood what love was. It must

Summer tightened her grip on his hand.

.

"A long time ago? You mean, since you were kids? Were Mr. Graham and Ms. Stewart childhood sweethearts?"

The image of childhood sweethearts filled the minds of Francis and the audience.

Fraser quirked an eyebrow, his dark eyes lazily focused on the woman next to him, "Something like that."

Summer frowned, thinking he was just playing up for the interview.

Francis pressed on, "What do you like about Ms. Stewart?"

Fraser looked at Summer with a half-smile, toying with her soft hair, "She's beautiful."

Chapter 318

The Grip of Jealousy

Summer's cheeks flushed, knowing Fraser was hardly ever serious..

Francis chuckled cautiously, "Undoubtedly, Ms. Stewart is beautiful, but the world is full of pretty girls."

Fraser's eyes sparkled like stars, his tone unusually solemn, "Her smile is beautiful, so beautiful it makes the world seem worthwhile."

After the interview, Fraser was surrounded by the senior executives of "The Insider Report."

They clamored around him, eager to make an acquaintance and possibly gain an insider's edge.

As Summer exited the restroom and approached the interview area, she noticed Lucas standing rigidly by the exit, seemingly waiting for her.

She thought for a moment and then walked over to him.

Lucas, noticing her approach, spoke with a hint of apology, "Sorry for the trouble today."

"You were just concerned about me."

"Summer." Lucas' voice deepened as he suddenly called out her name.

Summer looked up, her gaze crashing into Lucas' ocean-deep eyes, filled with unspoken words.

She quickly looked away.

Lucas' gaze remained fixed on her, his voice soft, "Are you really getting married?"

Summer knew he was referring to the Graham Group's official announcement about her and Fraser's upcoming wedding.

"If nothing unexpected happens, yes," she replied lightly.

Lucas smiled, though his smile was tinged with bitterness, "You're not going abroad then?"

Summer didn't respond; that was her private business,

Seeing her reluctance to discuss it, Lucas didn't press further.

“If there's anything you need help with, Summer, you can always talk to me.” "Thank you, Mr. Lucas."

Lucas, not quite ready to give up, ventured one last question, "I have to ask one last thing. If Fraser wasn't in the picture, would... would you like me?"

Lucas' eyes filled with a lonely sadness, his expression wounded, "Okay, I understand the answer"

Not far away, Fraser, who had been encircled by a group of people, spotted the intimate conversation between the man and woman.

He immediately left "The Insider Report's" executives and approached them.

Suddenly, Summer felt someone wrap their arms around her waist from behind, dominantly.

She turned slightly and saw Fraser's handsome face.

Fraser's cold gaze swept over Lucas, then softened as he looked down at Summer, "What are you two talking about?"

Fraser hadn't forgotten that it was this man who had taken Summer away last time.

Lucas, facing Fraser's hostile glare, couldn't help but say, "Fraser, I didn't lose to you; I lost to Summer."

"Is that so?"

Fraser's lips curled into a disdainful smirk.

"Even though you've helped her, I'd still prefer if you kept your distance, okay?"

Summer elbowed him in the chest, slightly embarrassed, "He's just a bit irritable; don't mind him."

Fraser was slightly annoyed. He's irritable? And this damn Lucas is gentle?

Tonight he'd show her just how 'gentle' he could be!

Fraser met Summer's clear, slightly reproachful gaze.

His irritation vanished in an instant. Fine! Happy wife, happy life!

Lucas exchanged a few more words with Summer before turning and walking away.

Fraser coldly watched his retreating figure, then wrapped his arms tighter around Summer, pulling her close so they were face to face.

Fraser looked down into her eyes, his voice full of jealousy, "From now on, you're not allowed to

smile at other men."

Hearing this, Summer blinked her clear eyes, retorting, "Was I smiling?"

Hmm!" Fraser hummed, pulling his lips into an upward curve, mimicking Summer's usual

smile.

"Like this!"

The Grip of Jealousy

"So should I just purse my lips and look serious when talking to every man? Others might think.

I'm a monster."

Fraser's lips twitched into a smirk, "That might actually be a good idea."

If it were up to him, he'd hide her away at home, away from everyone else's eyes.

"Nuts!"

Summer wanted to leave.

They were in a public place, an interview studio. Reporters and photographers were there, along with some executives from "The Insider Report" who looked like they wanted to approach but didn't dare to interrupt.

Summer didn't want to be the center of attention, but she was tightly held by Fraser, unable to

move.

Fraser's eyes bore into hers, deepening as he said, "Do you remember what you owe me?"

Chapter 319

Summer looked up at him, "What?"

"What?" Fraser's lips curled into a teasing smile as he deliberately lowered his voice, mimicking her delicate tone, dragging out the words to bewitch her.

Unable to resist, Summer burst into a beautiful smile that instantly lit up the interview studio.

Biting her lip playfully, she glared at Fraser, deliberately holding back her words.

Fraser's eyes deepened as he slowly leaned down and pressed his lips to hers. Their lips barely touching, he whispered, "I'll let you off for now, but once we're married, I want to hear you call me 'husband' every day."

"You're so bossy. Let go of me. Everyone's watching."

Summer punched his chest lightly, pulling away slightly; she could feel many burning, gossip- hungry gazes stuck on them.

Yet, this man seemed oblivious. Noticing Summer's flushed cheeks, he finally let

her go.

Fraser extended his hand elegantly, his voice sexy and gentle, "Let's go, my dear."

His hand, pale and sculpted like a piece of fine art, reached out to her.

It seemed to carry a special ceremonial sense, like a warm and firm promise. Summer paused, warmth flowing into her heart like a spring, spreading quickly to her limbs.

After a moment, she slowly lifted her hand and placed it in his broad palm.

Fraser held her hand, small and barely filling his grasp.

Then, as he interlaced his fingers through hers, he led her out under the watchful eyes of the

crowd.

At the door of the interview studio, Lucas saw the couple walking hand in hand and departing.

He lowered his lashes, hiding the fleeting shadow of sadness in his eyes, and turned to leave.

Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Trevor standing a few feet away, radiating a ‘keep out' chill. Trevor, feeling a probing gaze, looked up.

The eyes of Lucas and Trevor met briefly in mid-air, both filled with indiscernible darkness.

Trevor, with a cold expression and an annoyed tone, said, "What are you looking at? I'm not like you; I had her once."

Lucas' normally gentle eyes turned frosty. "Is that so? But at least I'm her friend, and you are

nothing'

The words hit Trevor hard, as Trevor had been trying to move on from Summer. She didn't love me anymore! Was I so spineless to still cling to her? That wasn't me!

But when a friend accidentally mentioned her, Trevor realized all his pretenses were just lies.

Trevor's voice was icy, "What good is being a friend? Watching her walk into another man's arms is worse than not seeing it at all.”

Indeed. Lucas had to admit that seeing them together was painful!

But he just wanted to see if she was happy.

If she wasn't, a greedy hope would surge within Lucas, wondering if he could comfort her.

Lucas chuckled weakly, his smile lacking strength. "We're both laughing at each other from a distance of fifty steps. In the end, aren't we both losers to Fraser?”

Trevor scoffed, "I hope Fraser treats her well. If he doesn't, I'll definitely take her back."

Lucas looked again in the direction they had gone, now empty.

"Fraser announcing his marriage to Summer now shows he's serious."

Lucas paused, then said to Trevor, "As for you, you have even less of a chance than I do."

Trevor's face turned pale, but he knew it was true.

Summer, how could you be so heartless, to leave just like that, and so freely!

The sun cast a mild warmth over Havenbrook, a Ferrari cruising along the road, its windows passing a blur of tree shadows.

In the driver's seat, Fraser had removed his black suit jacket, his white shirt open

at the collar revealing sharply defined jawlines and a tantalizing stretch of neck to collarbone.

His shirt sleeves were casually rolled up, revealing toned arms, exuding a powerful male

presence.

Fraser drove with one hand on the steering wheel, the other reaching across the center console holding her hand.

Summer felt a bit sticky and tried to pull her hand away, but he held it tightly.

"Would you please focus on driving?"

Chapter 320

Back to Where It All Began

Fraser raised an eyebrow, "Doubting my skills?"

With a serious look and a deep, pleasant voice, he said, "Summer, you can question anything about me, but never my skills. After all, in that area, you know I'm very strong."

Summer's face turned red with embarrassment. "How can you say such things without shame?"

Flirting in broad daylight. Fraser glanced at her blushing, bashful face, a smile spreading subtly. across his features, "Why would I be embarrassed with my own wife? I am a perfectly healthy

man."

Summer pouted, "I'm not your wife yet."

"Is that my fault? My fault for not giving you the proposal you deserved."

Fraser had indeed thought about it. He had envisioned giving Summer a perfect and complete declaration of love.

A well-planned proposal, a generous dowry, a formal engagement, and a grand wedding-all these steps had been in his mind. But their relationship had progressed in unexpected jumps.

An unplanned pregnancy followed by a separation, and just when he had won her favor, he couldn't wait to make his mark on her. He hadn't anticipated skipping to the last step.

Fraser narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. It seemed he needed to make some plans.

What other women had, his woman should have too. After a while, the heat on Summer's face faded.

She suddenly remembered something.

"Why did you lie during the interview, saying you liked me since we were little?" Fraser responded, "Do I need to lie?"

"Weren't we strangers as kids?"

Fraser turned the steering wheel sharply. The Ferrari stylishly took a corner, the luxurious tires screeching against the road.

"Where are we going?"

This wasn't the way back to the Graham Mansion.

Fraser's lips curved slightly, his tone casual, "I'm taking you to meet your childhood."

The Graham Group headquarters. The grand lobby was majestic, extremely spacious and airy,

with a high dame over 20 feet shove and a rimantic cruetal chandelier illuminating the entire

Back to Where It All Began

A limited edition Ferrari pulled up arrogantly in front of the Graham Group building.

The doormen at the entrance, recognizing Mr. Graham's car plate, almost simultaneously rushed forward to respectfully open the car door.

Summer, seeing the destination, was puzzled-why had Fraser brought her here? She saw Fraser get out of the car and then open her door.

He leaned lazily against the car, his long arm resting on the window, his dark eyes teasing as he looked at her.

"So, do I need to carry you out?"

With that remark.

Summer immediately got out of the car, although this was his company.

But to be carried out by him in front of everyone.

Summer felt she wouldn't need to face anyone after that. Fraser took Summer's hand, and they walked side by side into the building.

In the bustling lobby, all the employees of the Graham Group were taken aback to see them together, especially just after the public announcement. They quickly cleared a path, respectfully greeting him.

"Good day, Mr. Graham."

"Good day, Mr. Graham."

Hearing the salutations, Fraser frowned slightly, "Why isn't anyone greeting Mrs. Graham?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, the entire lobby erupted simultaneously,

"Good day, Mrs. Graham!"

"Good day, Mrs. Graham!"

The voices echoed thunderously. Summer went quiet.

Fraser's lips curled up slightly as he looked over at Summer beside him, his eyes full of tenderness and adoration.

Summer, trying to maintain her composure, stood by Fraser, nodding stiffly but graciously in response. At the reception, the staff were visibly nervous.

Especially the receptionist who had once tried to stop Summer-she was so frightened she looked like she wanted to disappear into the floor.

After Fraser and Summer took the "CEO's private" elevator upstairs,

Back to Where It All Began

"Attention, everyone! Mr. Graham is touring the company with Mrs. Graham!"

"He really has an eye for beauty. Mrs. Graham is gorgeous, looks like a celebrity, no, she has at more pristine and noble aura than those celebrities!"

"Check out the live stream, Mr. Graham just attended an interview forum, not only did they make their relationship public, but they also showed off their affection!" "Still, Mrs. Graham's family background seems pretty average, managing a mall, not quite top-tier wealthy. She doesn't seem quite a match for Mr. Graham."

"The Graham Group owns dozens of listed companies. If the marriage partner isn't well-matched in social and economic status, it won't bring any benefit to the Graham Group. It feels like the shareholders are in for a drama."
