Loving You In Secret Chapter 1021-Aurora watched the scene unfold without much interest before turning to look at Vicky.

Even though Vicky's sunglasses and face mask were covering her face, Aurora could still tell that she was not in a good mood. She knew her mind was somewhere else, so she tapped her on the shoulder and said, "It's best to talk to him, lest there be any misunderstanding."

Vicky nodded. She was happy to take her suggestion since she had been thinking about how to get out of window shopping for quite a while.

"I'll be on my way then."

"Okay. Goodbye."

Once she got home, Vicky was about to call Elijah, but he beat her to it.

"Vicky, I'm sorry," said Elijah remorsefully.

At that moment, Vicky had a splitting headache since she did not get enough rest the previous night. Her exhaustion was compounded by the fact that she still went shopping with Aurora for most of the day.

She massaged her temples. "Did you leave in a hurry because of her?"

"Yvette and I have made plans to meet up previously, but I canceled on her because my family asked me to bring you home for dinner at the last minute. As for today... we had plans to meet up too but... I had to cancel on her again..." answered Elijah in a small voice.

Vicky knew Elijah had a date with his girlfriend today, but he had to cancel at the last minute because he had to go to the bridal shop with Tyler and the others.

"She got mad at me because I canceled on her one too many times so I... I..."

He did not have to tell her the rest of the story for her to know what happened. She did not blame Elijah but instead said, "I know how hard it has been for you and your girlfriend lately. I mean, it's okay if I was the one who saw what happened, but if the media caught wind of it... It'll be a lot harder to explain then. As for Miss Starling..."

Vicky's face darkened at the thought of Aurora.

"What should we do about... Miss Starling?" Elijah asked cautiously.

"I'll explain it to her but make sure you don't let the same thing happen again in the future," Vicky answered lightly.

"Don't worry. There won't be a next time."

"Remember to explain things to your girlfriend too."

"Will do."

After saying goodbye, Vicky was about to hang up the phone when Elijah called out her name, "Vicky?"

"Yes? Is there anything else?"

After a few seconds of silence, Elijah simply said, "I'm sorry."

Vicky smiled. "It's okay. Don't worry about it."

Vicky immediately fell asleep after hanging up the phone. That was just how tired she was. She slept through the whole night, and after a good night's rest, she felt better when she woke up the next morning.

She picked up her phone and saw an unread message. It was from Aurora. She tapped on the message and read, [ What did he say to you?]

Vicky wanted Aurora to help her keep it a secret, so after thinking about it, she called her. The phone rang a few times before it was cut off by the Aurora.

A few seconds later, she received another text from Aurora.

[Sorry. I can't pick up the phone right now. I'll call you back when I'm free.]

[Okay.]

However, a full day passed, and Vicky did not receive a call from Aurora.

At night, Vicky was about to head to bed after taking her shower when her phone suddenly rang.

She picked up her phone and saw it was Aurora calling her.

As soon as she picked up the phone, she heard Aurora's drunk voice saying, "Vic...ky, come out... and... and drink... with me."

Loving You In Secret Chapter 1022-"Miss Starling, where are you right now?" Vicky asked with a frown.

"I'm at Neon... Club. Come here right away... I'll be... waiting for you."

"Miss Starling..."

Vicky wanted to say something else, but Aurora suddenly hung up the phone. Vicky called her again, but she did not pick up this time.

Without any other options, Vicky changed out of her pajamas and went to Neon Club to look for Aurora.

In a corner of the Neon Club, Aurora was sitting slumped against the sofa, and in front of her was a mess of empty bottles.

Vicky walked over to her and asked, "Miss Starling, are you okay?"

At the sound of Vicky's voice, Aurora's eyelashes fluttered before slowly opening her eyes. She must have drunk quite a lot because her eyes were red and unfocused.

"Vic... ky... you came!" She beamed a rarely-seen drunken smile at Vicky. "I didn't... expect you... to really come!"

Vicky sighed helplessly at the hopelessly drunk Aurora.

"Miss Starling, you're drunk. Let me send you home."

"Miss Starling?" A hint of puzzlement flashed across her eyes. "Why do you call me that when I call you by your name? You should just call me... Aurora instead."

Vicky knew it would be stupid of her if she was to reason with Aurora now, so she did not explain to her but instead said, "Let's go home."

Aurora stared straight at her with wide-open eyes.

"Why won't you call me by my name? Is it because... you hate me too?"

"You're drunk. It isn't safe for you to be here. Please let me send me home," said Vicky patiently.

"But you won't... even call me... by my name..."

Vicky did not understand why Aurora was so hung up about that. In the end, she gave in.

"Aurora, let me send you home."

Aurora shook her head. "No, I won't go back. I don't wanna go back.... I don't wanna go back to that cold, harsh house. If

I go back... they'll only force me to... I... no..."

Her eyes began to brim with tears.

"All through my life, I’ve done everything they've asked of me ... I tried so hard to be the perfect daughter they want... and yet... they won't even give me a little bit of freedom..."

Aurora must have been bottling that inside of her for a long time. It was as if a floodgate had opened inside of her, and Vicky did not need to prompt her to continue.

"They didn't allow me to make friends with anyone who was of no use to them when I was young... nor did they allow me to talk to anyone who had a lower status than me... I could only make friends with those in higher places or those who are of use to them...

"But little did they know... those people looked down on me and my family. I wanted to join them, but they treated me like a slave... asking me to do this and do that every time... Later, the Starling family became more powerful, and those who previously looked down on me started to suck up to me ... but I knew they only did that to get on the good side of... my family.

"They'll pretend to be nice to my face, but as soon as my back is turned, they'll start gossiping about me... and making up lies to undermine me... Growing up, I have never ever had a true friend... I know... I know that being born into a family such as mine has its price to pay but... but..."

She suddenly looked at Vicky. Her eyes lost their emptiness and in its place were burning anger.

"But how could they destroy the last of what little dream I have? Just how bad do they want to make me into a puppet who has no feelings?"

Loving You In Secret Chapter 1023-Vicky had first-hand experience of how hard it was to live the life of the rich and famous, so she could understand where Aurora was coming from.

Originally, she came to Neon Club to check on Aurora because she was forced to do so. However, after listening to her, she could not help but sit down beside her and asked, "What's your dream, Aurora?"

Aurora glanced at her. "Do you like watching series or movies?"

Vicky shook her head. She had no interest in either. In fact, she rarely stepped foot inside a cinema.

"Actually... I've been working abroad as a D-list actress but... but no matter how hard I try... I couldn't seem to get a breakout role..."

"A breakout role?" Vicky was stunned. She found it hard to believe that someone like Aurora was only a D-list actress overseas. After all, given her background, it should not be hard for her to get the role of a female lead in a blockbuster movie.

Plus, she had the kind of look that would make people fall in love with her even if she was to just stand there and look pretty, so how could she not be famous?

Aurora's tone was riddled with disappointment. "Yup... My parents objected to me going into the entertainment

industry. They think that celebrities are all... classless people. But I kept persevering. Knowing that I won't give in no matter what they say, they decided to make a deal with me.

"They gave me five years... and if I haven't made a name for myself on the silver screen, I have to quit being an actress. Of course, this is on the condition of not getting any help from them. I was young and naive then... Plus, I just graduated at the top of the class from the best acting school in Molivia...

"The entertainment industry in Molivia is very competitive. They don't hire actors or actresses based on their looks but based on their acting skills. I thought that with me graduating at the top of my class, I'll be able to blaze a trail in Molivia but in the end..."

Aurora smiled but her smile was even sadder than if she were to cry. "I was hit hard by reality. There were a lot of unspoken rules, office politics, and sabotage by my colleagues... All of that made it impossible for me to make a name for myself.

"Five years later, which just so happens to be this year, I quit the entertainment industry just like how I promised my parents and came back here... And today, I overheard them talking about the reason I didn't become famous... and it was because they've been pulling strings behind my back to make sure I stay out of the limelight."

The discovery of this news struck Aurora like lightning. The reason she did not become famous was not that she was not good enough or her bad luck, but rather, it was because her own parents had been undermining her behind her back.

Vicky felt sorry for Aurora.

Aurora seemed to be thirsty after talking for so long. She poured herself and Vicky a glass of wine. Then she smiled drunkenly and said, "Vicky, even though we're not friends, you're the first person who came here to check on me after just one phone call... Let's drink to that!"

Although Vicky did not come from the same background as Aurora, she could understand all the things she went through. She accepted the glass of wine and finished drinking it in one go.

The two of them kept talking and drinking. What surprised Vicky was that she and Aurora had quite a few things in common. Not only that, but Aurora was talented in many ways too. For example, she knew how to play quite a number of musical instruments, and the reason Valencia chose her was that she could play the piano very well.

Before she knew it, Vicky was also a little drunk. Gradually she began to lose consciousness until finally, she put her head on the table and fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, Vicky woke up with a hangover and a splitting headache. She was slightly relieved to see herself in a familiar environment when she opened her eyes. However, her eyes became as wide as a saucer when she saw who was sleeping next to her.

Loving You In Secret Chapter 1024-Vicky thought she was still dreaming. It was either that, or she was still drunk. She pinched herself and the pain just made her sober up even further. She then fearfully pushed the man sleeping next to her away.

The man's eyes snapped wide open as soon as she did that. He must have been unhappy about being awakened for his expression was one of coldness.

"Why did you wake me up?" Tyler asked.

He slowly sat up from the bed, and the blanket fell off him, revealing his toned chest that was filled with newly-made scratch marks.

Vicky was shocked. She then looked down at herself and discovered that she was naked too. ’Did we... last night... again?'

Vicky looked at Tyler in disbelief. "Tyler, what are you doing here?"

"You should ask yourself that since you were the one who called me," he answered coldly.

"I called you?" Vicky had no recollection of herself doing that. "When did I call you?"

Tyler looked at her condescendingly. "Last night. You called me when you were drunk, asking me to pick you up but I turned you down. Then, you told me Aurora was with you...

Vicky, you're really manipulative."

Vicky thought back hard on what happened last night but still came up empty. She only remembered she and Aurora had quite a lot to drink and then... she blacked out.

"Are you sure I was the one who called you?" asked Vicky suspiciously.

"Check your call history," said Tyler coldly.

Vicky looked for her phone and saw that it was on top of the bedside table. She picked it up and saw the latest call history showed her calling Tyler at around midnight.

She scratched her head and tried to think back to last night again but no matter how hard she tried, it was still a blank to her.

"I don't remember ever calling you."

"So you're saying that you're suffering from amnesia again?" Tyler asked sarcastically.

She looked up at him and said, "Fine, even if I used Aurora's name to call you over, that still doesn't explain why you're in my room."

'And in my bed,' Vicky added in her mind.

"You were both really drunk last night, but Aurora kept saying she didn't want to go back home and that she wanted to keep drinking with you. So, I had no choice but to send you home first," said Tyler lightly.

After a pause, he continued with a deeper voice, "After bringing you into your room, you grabbed my sleeve and wouldn't let go."

He looked at her with a half-smile on his face. "Then you tried to seduce me."

Vicky's eyes flickered, and in a trembling voice she said," And you just..."

Tyler moved closer to her, causing his shadow to completely envelop her within.

"Well, I wouldn’t be a man if I didn't accept your advances now, would I?" he asked coyly. 2

'He's the epitome of a sc*mbag!' thought Vicky.

Although she did not drink often, she knew that she had a high tolerance toward alcohol. There was no way she would seduce him. Thinking of this, her expression suddenly became cold.

"I only have your words to go on as to what happened last night since I don't remember anything."

"You not remembering it doesn't mean it didn't happen," said Tyler indifferently.

Vicky clenched her fists. She knew from past experience that they had indeed slept together last night. She was still trying to think of what to say when Tyler suddenly leaned over and said in a raspy voice, "Since you don't remember anything, maybe this will jolt your memory?" He then kissed her deeply on the lips.

Loving You In Secret Chapter 1025-"Let go of me...Ty... Mmph!"

All of Vicky's voice and struggle were easily stopped by Tyler when a voice suddenly came from outside the door.

"Vicky, are you awake?"

Vicky's body instinctively tensed up. She looked at Tyler in disbelief. She had thought that he was the only one who came into her house, so she never expected that Aurora would be in there too.

Tyler smiled when he saw just how pale Vicky had become.

"I didn't want to leave Aurora in the car, so I brought her into the guest room."

This used to be Tyler's house, so he knew the layout of the house very well.

Vicky looked at his face, which was very close to hers, and suddenly felt as though he was a stranger, and that made her very afraid.

"You should send her on her way if you don't want an audience for our show," said Tyler before kissing her violently on the lips again.

Vicky had never felt so humiliated before. Her whole body started trembling while tears rolled down her cheeks.

Tyler kissed away her tears and whispered into her ear,"

Vicky, tell me the truth. You don't really hate me, do you?"

Vicky could lie with her words and expressions, but her body could not lie. She knew Tyler would never joke about something like this. He would do what he said. Her lips parted a little, but before she could say anything, her tears came rolling down again.

Aurora, who was still waiting for her outside the door, thought Vicky was still asleep. She knocked three times again, then left when there was still no reply from inside the room.

It was already past noon by the time Vicky left her room. She thought Aurora had left long ago. However, after going downstairs, she realized that not only did she not leave, but she was actually sitting on the sofa in the living room reading a book.

Aurora looked up at Vicky when she saw her coming down the stairs.

"Vicky, were you the one who brought me here last night? Thank you for not sending me back home."

She got up and added, "By the way, you haven't had your lunch yet, right? I bought you some breakfast, but you didn't come down, so it's a bit cold now. I'll heat it up for you now."

All the colors drained out of Vicky's face when she saw Aurora. Her mind instantly went to Tyler, who was still taking a shower in the bathroom. She abruptly turned around and ran upstairs.

"Vicky, why are you so pale? Are you not feeling well?" Aurora asked quizzically.

Vicky's voice was extremely hoarse. "I... I suddenly remembered that I left something upstairs, so I'm going back to take it."

Without waiting for Aurora's reply, she ran up to her room.

Back in her room, Tyler had just come out of the bathroom, and he was drying his hair. He acted as though he was in his own house, without a care in the world.

"Bring me some clothes," he said when he saw Vicky come back into the room.

Vicky was actually panicking. "Tyler, Aurora's still here!"

His eyes darkened. "So what?"

'So what? Is he really asking me that?' thought Vicky.

Out loud, she replied, "You'll bump into her if you go down now!"

Tyler's expression remained indifferent. He did not see anything wrong in what they were doing. "So, you're asking me to stay in this room until she's gone?"

Vicky did not know how to answer him. Her mind was all jumbled up. She had not even figured out how to deal with Old Madam Harrison's birthday party, and now this?

Loving You In Secret Chapter 1026-Vicky nodded without thinking. "Yes, just stay in here for the time being."

She thought that Tyler would do as she said but instead, he asked, "Why should I?"

"What would Aurora think if she saw you coming out of my room?"

Having met her a few times, Vicky knew Aurora was no pushover. Also, everyone knew how difficult it was to be friends with an heiress.

"Why are you so afraid of her finding out?" Tyler asked back.

Vicky was stunned. "Well, aren't you?"

"I didn't do anything wrong, so why should I be afraid?"

Vicky suddenly laughed out of frustration. "So, you're saying that this is all my fault, and you're the innocent party in this?"

"Of course."

'Oh, how I would love to beat him up right now,' thought Vicky.

"You were the one who called me, and you were also the one who seduced me. It was all you. Even the last time, you were the one who came into my room," added Tyler.

Vicky did not know why, but she found it hard to keep her cool whenever she was around Tyler.

She looked him straight in the eyes and said through gritted teeth, "Yes, you're right. It was all my fault but... you had the right to refuse!"

Tyler raised his eyebrow. "Why should I refuse when you were the one who threw yourself at me?"

"Tyler, can you please stop being a sc*mbag just for a minute?"

Tyler smiled. "Do I look like someone who's loyal to you?"

"You weren't like this when we were together,” Vicky blurted.

Tyler's eyes gradually became cold.

"You know very well that's all in the past." Tyler looked down at her with eyes filled with mockery and contempt. "Since you, Vicky Shaw, were the one who killed the old Tyler with your own hands."

A shockwave rocked through Vicky's body. The pain in her heart felt as if it had been stabbed by a thousand needles.

Knock, knock, knock!

Suddenly, knocking sounds came from the door again and Aurora's muffled voice could be heard from outside the

room.

"Vicky, I've already heated up the food for you. You can come down to eat it now."

Vicky clenched her fist and tried hard to keep her voice calm.

"Okay, got it. Thanks!"

However, Aurora remained standing outside the door. "I heard you fighting with someone in the room. Vicky... are you okay?"

Vicky's heart tightened. She was still trying to come up with an explanation when Aurora's voice sounded again. "Have you managed to settle the matter with your ex-fiance?"

'Ex-fiance? Does Aurora think I'm on the phone with Elijah?' thought Vicky.

She did not correct Aurora but instead said, ’Til be down in a minute."

Aurora decided to let it go at that. "Okay, I'll be waiting for you downstairs then."

She then went downstairs and not long after, Tyler seemingly made his way out of the room too.

Vicky started panicking again and quickly grabbed his arm to stop him.

"Tyler Hart, what do you think you're doing?"

"Nothing. I was just thinking I should say hello to Aurora."

Vicky turned deathly pale. "Are you insane?"

Tyler was amused at the sight of Vicky's panicking face.

He looked at her quizzically. "Are you nervous? Aurora grew up in a wealthy family, so I'm pretty sure she's familiar with the concept of a kept woman. Even if she were to find out..."

He lowered his head and moved his face closer to hers.

Since he had just showered, Vicky could smell the familiar scent of her body wash wafting through the air.

Loving You In Secret Chapter 1027-The scent Vicky used to like the most felt unbearable to her now that it came from Tyler's body.

She instinctively turned her head away to get away from the smell, and when Tyler saw her do this, his eyes immediately darkened.

However, his voice remained indifferent as he said, "Even if she was to find out, she won't care."

Vicky did not know whether Aurora would care, but she really did not want her to find out. However, she knew she had to take a softer approach to Tyler, so she softened her voice and said, "Stay here for a while. Wait until I send Aurora off on her way. You can leave then, okay?"

Tyler looked at her with those dark eyes of his. "Why should I listen to you?"

'Oh, so he wants to get something out of this,' thought Vicky.

She looked up. "What do I have to do for you to listen to me? rr

Vicky drew the line at being his secret lover. Out of the two evils, she would rather he walked out of the room and let Aurora find out about what happened last night.

Tyler could tell what she was thinking. His long eyelashes fluttered for a moment and his eyes became less cold.

"A kiss."

Vicky tensed up. "A kiss?"

"Yes. I'm sure that's not too much to ask, not after what we did last night."

He looked at Vicky as if he wished he could do what he did to her last night again.

"Or do you wish for something more than a kiss?"

Tyler's tall and imposing figure moved closer to hers, making her feel a sense of oppression. He was so close to her that she would not even have the time to shout for Aurora if he was to take her there and then.

A few seconds later, Vicky finally gave in. She stood on her toes and kissed Tyler lightly on the cheek.

"I want a proper kiss, not a peck on the cheek. Vicky Shaw, do you not know what a kiss is?" Tyler asked coldly.

He had already made it very clear to her what he wanted, so Vicky had no choice but to close her eyes and kiss him on the lips.

In order to not give him something to gripe about, she kissed him hard and deeply, as though they were a pair of long-lost lovers. After a while, Tyler did not seem to be happy with her technique, so he grabbed her head from behind and showed her how it was done.

After having her lunch, Vicky came up with the excuse of wanting to go shopping to steer Aurora out of the door. As soon as Aurora heard that Vicky wanted to go shopping, she decided to follow along without even having to think about it.

While they were shopping, Vicky could not hold it in anymore and asked the question that had been gnawing at her heart.

"Miss Starling, how's your relationship with Tyler so far?"

Aurora frowned. "Why are you calling me Miss Starling again? Didn't I ask you to call me Aurora last night?"

Vicky looked at her in shock. "You remembered what happened last night?"

"I was still a little sober when you came, but I don't remember anything after that since I completely blacked out.

Aurora looked quizzically at Vicky. "Did something happen when you brought me home last night?"

Vicky lowered her eyes. "No, nothing happened. I just wanted to ask why you called me instead of your fiance."

Aurora shook her head. "Well, he was busy. I did call him, but he didn't pick up the phone. Then I thought of you and remembered that you didn't seem like you were in a good mood as well. That was why I called."

After a pause, she asked, "How are things with you and your fiance?"

Vicky fell silent for a few seconds before answering, "He said he'll cut off contact with that woman."

Aurora was not surprised to hear that. She simply nodded.

"If that's the case... it is for the best."

Loving You In Secret Chapter 1028-"Aurora asked calmly, "Why should you break up with him just because of that woman? It's not worth it to break up with him since the two of you are getting married soon. Besides... aren't all men the same?

"My dad has countless mistresses, and my mom let him be as long as he did not have a kid out of wedlock or ask her for a divorce. Of course, he would still have to perform his husbandly duties in front of others. However, apart from that, she was content with her marriage."

"But if it were you... what would you do if you found out that your husband has a mistress?" Vicky asked.

Aurora smiled haplessly. "No feelings last forever, and marriages like mine are usually arranged by our parents in order to further their business interests. There's no love to speak of. Even those who married out of love would eventually have an affair or break up down the line."

Vicky was speechless.

Aurora patted her on the shoulder. "Of course, it's better to break up if you can't handle the betrayal, but what I really want to say is, you should forgive him since you've already made up your mind to be with him. As for the rest of the stuff ... Well, that's something for future you to worry about."

Vicky looked at her. "Is that how you treat your marriage with Tyler too?"

Aurora smiled at her. "Yup. I didn't like you at first because you humiliated me in front of everyone, but now that you're going to get married too... I thought that it'll be okay for you and me to be friends."

"And what if your fiance had a lover before the two of you got married?" Vicky asked hesitantly.

Aurora thought about her question for a while before answering, "I'll still get married to him, but I'll make sure to deal with the matter after that."

Vicky took a deep breath and decided to tell her the truth.

"Miss Starling, Tyler and I are actually..."

However, Aurora cut her off because she could finish speaking.

"I know there's nothing going on between the two of you so don't worry. There's no misunderstanding here."

"No, what I wanted to say was... that day, during Old Madam Harrison's birthday party..."

Aurora smiled. "I know everything. You don't have to explain anything to me."

"No, I—"

"Hey, that dress is so pretty! Let's go try it on!"

A dress caught Aurora's attention, so she was not listening to what Vicky was trying to say at all. Her eyes immediately lit up, and then she made a beeline to the shop.

Vicky remained where she was in a state of shock. She then sighed as she looked at Aurora happily trying on the dress.

Aurora was a shopaholic, and once she started, she could not stop. The reason Vicky asked her to go shopping with her was to get her out of the house so that Tyler had time to leave. She also wanted to tell Aurora about what was going on with her and Tyler.

However, she did not even have a chance to tell her all that since Aurora had been buying non-stop. Vicky tried to tell her during what little break time they had, but they were always interrupted by something unexpected. Aurora did not stop shopping until nighttime, and by then, she only stopped out of exhaustion.

Aurora's hands were full of shopping bags. "Let's call it a day. We can continue shopping tomorrow."

Vicky's hands, too, were full of shopping bags, but they were all Aurora's purchases. She looked at Aurora in disbelief and asked, "We're going to do this again tomorrow?"

Aurora said matter-of-factly, "Of course! We're getting married soon, so it's normal to buy many things!"

She pointed at the shopping bags Vicky was holding and added, "I think those things suit you more, so you can have them. Let's go back and try them on right away."

Vicky was stunned. "Go back? Where?"

Then she suddenly thought of something. "To your place.

Well... you know how I had a fight with my parents, right? Yeah, I don't really want to go back home for now."

She looked at Vicky. "So... can I stay at your place until I'm ready to go back home?"

Loving You In Secret Chapter 1028-As if worried that Vicky was going to say no to her, Aurora immediately added, "I'll pay you rent money and... I can cook three meals a day. I promise I won't cause you any trouble.-

Vicky already found Aurora very tiring after spending the whole day shopping with her, yet she was asking to stay at her place now. There was no way Vicky could say yes to that.

"I'm sorry. It wouldn't be convenient for me if you stayed at my place. It's best if you stay somewhere else," said Vicky without hesitation.

"Vicky... I only came back recently, so I don't know anywhere I can go. I really have nowhere else to go." Aurora looked at Vicky with her big sad puppy dog eyes. "Please let me stay at your place for a little while. Pretty please?"

Vicky shook her head. "Don't you have a fiance? You can stay at his place."

"No. It's not appropriate for us to stay under the same roof when we're not married yet," said Aurora in a small voice.

Vicky was a little shocked by what she said. "But you guys are engaged to one another! Why would it be inappropriate?"

"My parents are very conservative. They think it's wrong for me to stay with him when we're not married yet. So..." Aurora looked at her. "I can't stay with Tyler."

"You can ask him to find you a place to stay."

Aurora shook her head. "No. My parents will think that I'm living with him. Besides... it's not just them. I've been brainwashed into thinking this is wrong, too, so I can't... stay with him even if I wanted to.”

"You can stay in a hotel, then. They have security there."

"No... I'm scared of staying alone..."

Vicky was starting to get a headache. "Miss Starling, it's really not that convenient for me if you stay at my place."

"Why?" Aurora looked at her pitifully. "Is it because this used to be Tyler's house? Don't worry. I don't mind at all. I'm actually quite curious as to what the house looks like."

"I'm really sorry."

Aurora's voice became even more pitiful as she pleaded," Vicky, just for a while. Please?"

However, Vicky's resolve was absolute. She would not give in no matter how much Aurora pleaded.

In the end, Aurora had no choice but to sadly part ways with Vicky.

The exhausted Vicky finally reached home.

She put the shopping bags on the sofa. Aurora insisted that she accept the gifts and even went to the extent of threatening her, saying that she would follow her home if Vicky did not take them. Thus, Vicky had no choice but to accept the gifts.

She was so tired that she did not even have the energy to go upstairs. She slumped down on the sofa and closed her eyes to rest for a while. Suddenly, she heard the sound of footsteps coming from upstairs.

She opened her eyes in horror, only to see the tall and strong Tyler dressed in a white bathrobe walking gracefully down the stairs. That further spoiled her already bad mood.

"Why are you still here, Tyler?"

Tyler glanced at her and answered, "Where should I be, if not here?"

"You should have left a long time ago." "And go out naked?" asked Tyler coldly.

Loving You In Secret Chapter 1030-Vicky's gaze fell on Tyler's bathrobe.

"Where are your clothes?"

"I threw them away."

"You did what?"

"You caused my clothes to reek of alcohol last night. Not to mention they were all crumpled up after what we did. You don't seriously think I'll go out dressed like that, do you?" asked Tyler coldly.

He had a thing about cleanliness and would not be caught dead in yesterday's clothes. In fact, he would immediately change into a new set of clothes should he get just a tiny speck of dirt on them, so Vicky knew very well he would not wear his old clothes out today.

After a few seconds of silence, she finally said, "You could've asked your assistant to bring you a change of clothing."

"As if." Tyler looked at her. "That would be as good as announcing our relationship to the whole world."

Vicky frowned. "Your assistant works for you, so I'm pretty sure he won't be going around telling everyone about it."

Besides, why should Tyler be afraid of his assistant finding out when he was not even afraid to let Aurora see him coming out of Vicky’s room?

"What would my assistant think of me if he found out that I'm still in contact with my ex-wife?" asked Tyler coldly.

Vicky was speechless.

Tyler was being completely unreasonable.

She fell silent for a moment and then said, "Fine. I'll go buy you some clothes right now."

She then walked to the door, but Tyler stopped her.

"Where are all the clothes I left here?"

"I've already thrown them away."

Tyler's eyes darkened and his voice became even colder." Who gave you the right to throw them away?"

"We're already divorced, so there was no need for me to keep any of your things around." Vicky looked at him. "I packed up your stuff and sent a text to Harry, asking him to come pick them up. However, he never came, so I had no choice but to throw them away."

Tyler noticed that his things were gone from the mansion when he came over last night. There was only one pillow on the bed, and even the toiletries and towels in the bathroom were only meant for one person.

All his things were completely gone from the room. It was understandable for Vicky to get rid of all of his things, and yet, for some reason, he could not help but feel annoyed at her.

His tone became even harsher, "Those were my things, and you should've asked for my permission instead of Harry's before throwing them away! Some of the documents are work-related and—"

Vicky cut him off before he could finish speaking.

"I've already kept your work documents for you. They're stored in your study, so there's no loss there for you. In fact, you should take them home with you today."

Tyler's eyes darkened.

Seeing that he did not say anything else, Vicky went out to buy him some clothes. She knew what size he wore, so it took her no time at all to buy his clothes. In order to avoid him complaining, she bought him two sets of clothing and went straight home after that.

Once home, she went into the living room, only to find it empty. Tyler was nowhere to be seen at all. She carried the shopping bag upstairs and entered her bedroom. It was empty too. After thinking it through, she went to Tyler's old study. After knocking, she pushed open the door and went in, and found the room to be dark. He was not in the study too.

'Did he leave while I was out buying his clothes?' she wondered.

She suddenly heaved a sigh of relief. She had spent the whole afternoon shopping with Aurora, so it was already very late by the time she came back with Tyler's clothes.

A silvery-white streak of lightning flashed through the air all of a sudden and the sound of thunder followed not long

after. Then came the rain, crashing against the full-length window before falling down to the ground.
