Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 11

Having been seen through by Ye Moxuan, Shen Qi’s face turned pale at once. Her lips were trembling, and she didn’t know how to muster up a reply.

“Ha!” Ye Moxuan sneered. “No wonder you’re in a rush to get married into the Ye Family on behalf of your sister. It turns out that you’re pregnant with an illegitimate child and couldn’t wait to find someone to be the stepfather!”

Listening to Ye Moxuan’s remark, Xiao Su, who was standing behind him, clenched his fists angrily and scolded, “Who do you think our Young Master Ye is? How dare you marry him while being pregnant with someone else’s child?! How long do you plan to hide from us if we missed you at the Gynecology clinic?”

Shen Qi wanted to solve this matter without anyone knowing, but she didn’t expect Ye Moxuan’s men to bring her here.

But why did he ask his men to check the Gynecology department?

Facing Ye Moxuan’s poker face, Shen Qi held back her curiosity as well as astonishment and replied stubbornly, “How are you sure that I’m pregnant just because I went to the Gynecology department? Can’t I go there for my annual gynecological checkup?”

“It seems that you won’t admit it anyhow,” Ye Moxuan spoke with a cold and fierce voice. “Bring her to the hospital and tell me the result of the checkup.”

“Yes!” The bodyguard in black went forward to seize Shen Qi.

“No!” Shen Qi began to struggle frantically. “Ye Moxuan, I’m just your nominal wife. For what reason do you ask them to treat me harshly like this? Let me go!”

“Let you go?” Ye Moxuan’s gaze went cold, and he said indifferently, “You should know the consequences you’ll have to face if I find out that you are pregnant! Xiao Su, take her out!”

Realizing that she wasn’t the person that he was looking for, Ye Moxuan didn’t have any empathy toward Shen Qi at all.

One hour later, Ye Moxuan threw a report on Shen Qi’s face and glared at her ferociously. “Ha! You actually think that I’ll help you raise someone else’s kid! The Shen Family is so bold!”

“No! That’s not true!” Facing such a situation, Shen Qi immediately panicked. “I didn’t even know about the pregnancy! Not even the Shen Family! I didn’t mean to hide it from you…”

“You didn’t know?” Ye Moxuan reached out his hand and grasped her chin. His blackhole-like eyes looked as if he was about to swallow everything in front of him. “Then I’ll give you a chance; abort the baby, and I won’t kick you out from the Ye Family.”

Shen Qi refused out of reflex, “No…”

“No?” Ye Moxuan looked at her in mockery. Irritated by her response, he questioned resentfully, “Do you think that I deserve to be your ex-husband’s fill-in and raise your kid just because I can’t walk? Are you looking down upon me?”

Shen Qi kept shaking her head in denial. “I never had such a thought!”

She had no idea she would get pregnant. She was married to Lin Jiang for two years, but he had never touched her at all. She never expected herself to get pregnant just after sleeping with that unknown man that one time.

As she thought of all these things, Shen Qi felt she was about to crumble at the moment; she couldn’t withstand the cruel reality slamming on to her like a fallen wall.

She knew that she couldn’t stay in the Ye Family anymore once she was pregnant with another man’s child. Not only that, she would become the biggest joke in North City.

But she needed some time to fix the mess…

“I beg you to give me some time!”

“Three days,” Ye Moxuan said fiercely. “If you’re still carrying this illegitimate child after three days, you’ll be out of the Ye residence at once!”

After stating his conditions, Xiao Su wheeled him out, leaving Shen Qi sitting on the floor with her cold hands and feet.

After a long time, Shen Qi took out her phone with her trembling hands to call her best friend, Han Xueyou.

When Shen Qi finally got back to the Ye residence, it was already late at night.

She had been talking to her best friend, Han Xueyou, for a long time. All the incidents that happened in the past one month had left Shen Qi on her last leg, and she felt much better after pouring her heart out.

The two girls had made a detailed analysis based on the current situation, and Shen Qi finally made up her mind to get an abortion.

She agreed with what her best friend said—the Ye Family was the only place where she could stay now. In order to protect her sister, her parents were willing to force her to marry into the Ye Family for the sake of the family business. It was impossible for her parents to accept her again once she was chased out from the Ye Family.

While she was musing on what to do next, she heard a cold and emotionless voice from her back. “Stand right there!”

Shen Qi turned to see Xiao Su pushing Ye Moxuan in his wheelchair toward her.

Their eyes met for less than one second before Shen Qi quickly avoided looking straight at him. “Young Master Ye, how can I help you?”

Ye Moxuan stared at her as he ordered the person behind him, “Xiao Su, you may leave first.”

Receiving his order, Xiao Su was stunned for a while. “But Young Master Ye, I have yet to help you—”

“Isn’t this Mrs. Ye’s responsibility?” Ye Moxuan fixed his eyes on the woman who lowered her head in front of him. He felt annoyed especially when he found out that she was pregnant; his anger felt as if it was a fire burning inside him.

Shen Qi was confused, thereupon she raised her head and asked, “What should I do?”

“Xiao Su, tell her the thing she has to do as my wife.”

Xiao Su took a glance at Ye Moxuan, wondering what was in his mind. Nonetheless, he followed Ye Moxuan’s order obediently and informed Shen Qi, “Due to Young Master Ye’s condition, you have to look after him when he bathes. It’s best for you to standby at his side at all times.”

After saying that, Xiao Su still felt a little bit worried, so he directly walked toward Shen Qi and whispered a few words in her ear.

Shen Qi listened to him carefully and tried to remember his words. When she heard the latter part of his words, her fair cheeks blushed a little, and she bit her lips in concern. “Must I do so?”

Xiao Su wasn’t attentive enough to notice that she was embarrassed to do so; he merely pursed his lips and said, “Of course! Do it well if you don’t want to be thrown out by Young Master Ye.”

Shen Qi was frightened by his words, but she still nodded. “Understood.”

After informing her of the details, Xiao Su walked toward Ye Moxuan and reported dutifully, “Young Master Ye, then I’ll take my leave first.”

“Okay.”

After he left, only Ye Moxuan and Shen Qi were left in the room.

When Shen Qi thought of Xiao Su’s instruction, her face turned bright red.

“Why are you daydreaming? Come over here then!” Ye Moxuan called out of a sudden.

Shen Qi was startled, thereafter her petite being started making its way toward him reluctantly while trembling nonstop.

“Why are you trembling?” Ye Moxuan was irritated because she was trembling in fear, and he rebuked, “Bring me to the bathroom!”

Shen Qi followed his orders and pushed him to the bathroom in his wheelchair.

The bathroom in the Ye residence was humongous; it was probably explicitly built to accommodate Ye Moxuan’s particular needs. As soon as she pushed him into the bathroom, the intense cold aura of Ye Moxuan immediately filled the air in the room.

Following Xiao Su’s advice, Shen Qi asked softly, “Where are your clothes? I’ll get them for you.”

“My pajamas are in the first drawer. Take the blue set.”

“Okay.” Shen Qi turned and went to get the blue pajamas. When she returned to the bathroom, she found that he had already taken off his shirt. “Ah!” Startled to see his naked upper body, she screamed loudly and turned around while covering her eyes.

“Why the hell are you screaming?” Ye Moxuan frowned.

“Why did you take off your shirt?”

He was angered by her foolish question and turned to find her facing him with her back, without daring to enter the bathroom. He lowered his head to look at himself before his lips curled up into an evil smirk.

“How am I supposed to take a bath if I don’t take my shirt off? Are you playing innocent with me now?”

Shen Qi wanted to ask him to put his shirt on, but she stopped. He’s right. How is he going to take a bath if he doesn’t take his shirt off? Not only his shirt, but he also had to take his pants off as well.

While Shen Qi was reminded of that fact, her cheeks turned bright red in an instant. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and convinced herself that they were husband and wife now. You should’ve already been mentally prepared to face this. There’s no reason for you to back down!

After her internal pep talk, she calmed down before turning to face him. “I’ve brought your pajamas. Do you need anything else?”

“Take off my clothes.”

Shen Qi gulped before walking toward him.

“Unbuckle my belt.”

Unbuckle his belt? Shen Qi stole a glance at Ye Moxuan’s body.

He was disabled, so by right, he couldn’t stand up to work out. Shen Qi thought that due to that, there would be a lot of fats in his abdominal area, but unexpectedly, she was surprised to see his muscular chest and flat stomach.

“Have you seen enough?” Suddenly, Ye Moxuan asked scornfully.

Shen Qi raised her gaze and met his piercing sharp gaze. Feeling stupefied, she nodded in panic before unbuckling his belt with her trembling hands.

She had never touched a man’s belt before, so she was having difficulty unbuckling it.

As such, Ye Moxuan raised his brow in confusion and looked at the woman who was bending down in front of him. Her posture revealed her delicate collarbone and neckline. Meanwhile, she failed to unbuckle his belt even after trying for such a long time.

“Are you doing this on purpose?” he questioned with a husky and throaty voice.

“Huh?” Feeling more and more nervous, Shen Qi panicked as she didn’t know how to undo a belt. She then said fearfully with a tearful voice, “I-I-I don’t know how to do it…”

Her hands were soft and sleek. As her warmth petite hands brushed against his stomach, Ye Moxuan’s pupils got darker as if there were storms arising in his eyes.

“C-C-Can you do it—argh!”

Before she could finish her sentence, Ye Moxuan grabbed her by the wrists before tugging her into his arms forcefully.

Everything went silent as if time had frozen.

Shen Qi lost her balance and fell onto Ye Moxuan’s thighs, and her silky arms bumped into his fit and muscular chest.

She was overwhelmed by his domineering and strong breathing, and it engulfed all her senses at once.

“L-L-Let go!” Shen Qi only came back to her senses after being stunned for a few seconds. She reached her tiny hand out to push against Ye Moxuan’s chest, attempting to get away from him.

Glaring at her with his dark, gloomy eyes, Ye Moxuan clasped her tiny fair wrists and pulled them down forcefully until her hand stopped on the buckle of his belt. “Didn’t your ex-husband teach you how to take it off? Or are you acting innocent in front of me in hopes that I’ll teach you how to do it?”

“What?”

“If that’s the case, I’ll do as you wish.”

Ye Moxuan grabbed her hand and guided it toward the buckle of his belt before releasing it. With a resounding click, the belt came loose.

Shen Qi’s brain froze as her panicked eyes widened under Ye Moxuan’s intense gaze.

Ye Moxuan guided her hand to take off his belt before he threw the belt aside.

Both Shen Qi’s consciousness and body were still stunned. As such, she couldn’t react.

“Now do you understand?” Ye Moxuan asked in a hoarse voice.

Shen Qi was seated on his lap as she looked at Ye Moxuan, who was closed at hand.

He had a handsome profile, coupled with a pair of deep, unfathomable eyes. Apart from that, he had thin lips that were pressed into a thin line. She had to admit that Ye Moxuan was a good-looking man indeed.

Just by this face alone, he would be able to make all the young ladies of the North City scramble for his attention.

However, Shen Qi couldn’t forget how he humiliated her.

Seeing as he was inching closer to her, Shen Qi turned her head away reflexively.

Ye Moxuan’s gaze turned sharp and his slender fingers pinched her chin. Then, he said in a harsh voice, “Why are you avoiding me? Are you trying to play hard to get? Do you really think that I would be interested in a fickle woman like you?”

“I didn’t!” Shen Qi didn’t wish to hear any more of those humiliating words and she bit her lower lips tightly. “If you aren’t interested in me, then let me go!”

“What’s the matter? Does my interest have anything to do with letting you go?”

When she heard this, her eyes widened. “You—”

“Hah!” He suddenly leaned forward and pressed his cold lips firmly upon her anxious, trembling ones.

“Mmph…” Shen Qi’s mind went blank for a few seconds before she reacted and tried her best to push against his chest.

It would be fine if she didn’t push him, because the moment she did, Ye Moxuan seemed to have been triggered, thereupon he pressed his lips against her soft ones even more forcefully. Shen Qi couldn’t withstand his force as the pain from her lips made her delicate eyebrows furrowed together. She was choking back her tears as she pushed against him.

Ye Moxuan intended to humiliate her, and he wanted to see the kissing skills of a woman who had been married twice. However, he didn’t expect her to be that inexperienced; she didn’t even know how to breathe properly. Under the violent assault of his lips, she didn’t put up any resistance at all as she allowed him to bully her.

Damn it! If she really wanted to seduce me, isn’t it time for her to use all her abilities to arouse me?

Suddenly, Ye Moxuan pushed her away from his embrace in a rough manner, letting go of her lips. “Are you that stupid?”

Shen Qi felt dizzy from the kiss.

Apart from the man a month ago, she had not experienced such an intense, domineering kiss. Ye Moxuan was as powerful as a wild leopard; the moment he got his hands on her, he would continue his mad assaults, without allowing her to catch her breath.

No matter what she did, she couldn’t escape!

Her mouth was filled with the scent of a strange man. Shen Qi resisted it initially, however her entire body gradually gave in to the kiss. Now that Ye Moxuan had yanked her away from him, her mind was still adrift as she looked at him blankly; she couldn’t utter a single word.

Ye Moxuan narrowed his eyes dangerously as he stared at her eyes, which were just inches away from him.

Her eyes were like an icy glacier. Usually, it looked cold and deserted, which was impossible to arouse any desire in anyone. This time, her eyes looked confused as it sent out a different kind of flirtatious message, and for some reason… he was attracted to that gaze.

Strangely enough, a thought popped up in Ye Moxuan’s mind.

Why would a man divorce such a woman when she was able to exhibit that kind of charm when aroused? Could it be…

Ye Moxuan narrowed his eyes as he pinched her chin and brought her closer to him. Then, he said in a hoarse voice, “Have you ever kissed a man before? Don’t you know how to breathe when kissing?”

Shen Qi seemed to regain her senses when she heard the word ‘kiss’, thereafter the clouded expression in her eyes slowly disappeared.

Just then, his thin lips covered her lips once again. Shen Qi’s voice was muffled as he held the back of her head and kissed her deeply.

Ye Moxuan didn’t know what came over him. The only thing was that he suddenly longed for the expression in Shen Qi’s eyes to remain, hence he kissed her straightaway.

Shen Qi didn’t know how long she had been drowning in that kiss. It wasn’t until she felt something pushing against her that she finally regained her senses.

Then, she saw Ye Moxuan lowering his head as he nibbled along her neck. His hot and heavy breath made Shen Qi yelp as she pushed him away forcefully.

Though she managed to push him away, at the same time, she slipped and fell.

Shen Qi fell onto the cold, hard floor as her mind went completely blank. She then covered her swollen lips as she looked at him in an accusing manner and yelled, “What are you doing?!” Then, she sneaked a peek at the bulge in his pants. In that instant, she looked away out of fright.

When Ye Moxuan was pushed away, he looked a little surprised. But after a while, he returned to his usual indifferent attitude.

“I’m merely carrying out my duties as your husband. What’s wrong, Mrs. Ye? Are you not used to it yet?”

There was a mocking smile at the corner of his lips. Obviously, he was deliberately humiliating her.

Shen Qi said in anger, “I thought you weren’t interested in me? Why do you have to kiss me?”

Based on her understanding, a kiss was shared between two people who were in love with each other. However, it was evident that he was disgusted by her, so how could he even bring himself to kiss her?

“Mrs. Ye, didn’t I tell you just now? My interest in you and my urge to humiliate you are two entirely different things.”

Shen Qi was stunned.

She didn’t expect that he would be that evil. As such, she wanted to walk away in a fit of rage.

“Mrs. Ye, you haven’t helped me take off my clothes yet.”

Shen Qi was speechless.

“Or do you not wish to continue on as Mrs. Ye anymore?”

This was a threat! He was laying bare his threat!

Shen Qi clenched her fists; she was so angry that her face turned pale. But very soon, she released her grip.

Forget about it! I should just tolerate him. After all, I only need to take off his clothes, right?

Shen Qi turned around and walked toward him again. Ye Moxuan noticed that her gaze had turned cold; it had become a motionless, icy glacier once again.

Sigh! This is an utter disappointment! She wants to stay in the Ye residence, yet she doesn’t know how to seduce anyone.

Shen Qi bent forward and helped him take off his pants. She blushed furiously when she noticed the bulge in his groin region, thereupon she decided to close her eyes as she tried to tug his pants down. However, since she wasn’t pulling in the right direction, she couldn’t get his pants off no matter how hard she tried.

She could only ask, “I could really use some help here.”

Ye Moxuan sat there with a cold expression on his face as he said, “Mrs. Ye, don’t you know that I am a cripple? How could I exert any force?”

Shen Qi said, “If you don’t put in some effort, there is no way I can help you.”

“Hmm. It seems like you are not much use at all!”

Shen Qi’s expression changed, then she decided to keep quiet and try her best to undress him.

Two minutes later…

Shen Qi’s hard work didn’t pay off at all.

What should I do? Shen Qi was close to crying, and her eyes started to turn red.

Ye Moxuan raised his head impatiently, preparing to teach her a lesson. It was only then that he noticed her forehead was beaded with sweat, and even her eyes were red as well.

Hence, he swallowed back his words and frowned.

What was wrong with him?

He should have chased out this unscrupulous woman, who was not just pregnant with someone else’s child but also stood in as a substitute for her sister who was about to be married into the Ye Family. How could he have given her a chance to stay here?

Ye Moxuan suddenly regained his senses, then held her wrists and pushed her.

His actions came unexpected to Shen Qi, and her skinny shoulders knocked against the hard wall. She then lifted her head and met Ye Moxuan’s cold gaze.

“Get lost!”

She clutched her throbbing shoulders and looked at him in confusion.

“You are useless! What’s the point of letting you stay here? Get lost!”

“You!” Shen Qi clenched her fists tightly; she felt that he had gone overboard.

However, when she thought about it, she realized that she didn’t help him in any way at all. Hence, the rage in her eyes vanished, and she clutched her shoulders before walking out of the bathroom slowly.

“Xiao Su!” A cold and resounding voice rang through the doors, causing Xiao Su, who was eavesdropping outside, to shudder.

“Well, aren’t you going to come in?!”

Xiao Su immediately rushed into the bathroom in a panic while scratching his head in embarrassment. “Young Master Ye, how did you know I was outside?”

Ye Moxuan gave him a cold, sideways glance. As such, Xiao Su decided to shut up.

After he was done with his bath, he came out and noticed that Shen Qi was already fast asleep. She lay curled up within the covers, and she had her entire head covered, leaving only a few wisps of black hair exposed.

He merely gave her a glance before he retracted it.

“Towel.”

Xiao Su handed him a dry towel, thereupon he dried his wet hair. Then, through his thin lips he ordered, “You may go back now.”

The words were barely out of his mouth when Shen Qi, who was fast asleep, kicked off the covers, revealing a pair of long, slender, fair legs.

She had snow-white skin, and her legs were slim as well; it had quite a visual impact.

When Xiao Su heard the rustling sound behind him, he subconsciously turned his head toward the source of the sound. The moment his gaze fell upon those pair of slender, fair legs, Ye Moxuan demanded in a cold voice, “Aren’t you going to leave?!”

The sudden coldness in his tone made Xiao Su shudder, thereafter he quickly left the room.

After he left, Ye Moxuan turned his attention toward Shen Qi and snorted coldly. “Damn it, woman! How dare you pretend to look so clueless and innocent?!”

Now that she was fast asleep, how dared she try to seduce another man?!

When Shen Qi woke up, Ye Moxuan had already left. She went downstairs after she washed herself up, and coincidentally, she bumped into Old Master Ye.

“Shen Yue?”

“Old Master Ye…” When she saw him, Shen Qi felt inexplicably nervous.

She had always felt that he had a penetrating gaze, as if he could see right through one’s heart; she was afraid that her identity would be quickly exposed in front of him.

“Have you been accompanying Moxuan to the company for the past two days?”

Although his tone was casual, she could make out a hint of reproachfulness in his voice. She glanced at him timidly before she said in a small voice, “I’m sorry, Old Master Ye, I felt ill for the past two days, so—”

“Ill?” Old Master Ye narrowed his sharp gaze. “I’ll ask the doctor to examine you.”

Ask the doctor to examine her? Then wouldn’t her pregnancy be exposed?

Shen Qi immediately stopped him. “No need for that, Old Master Ye. I’m merely down with a common cold. I’ll go to the pharmacy to buy some medicine in a moment.”

Old Master Ye fixed his astute eyes upon her. Shen Qi’s hair stood on its end when she saw his look, and she bit her lower lip subconsciously.

“You have a strong nasal tone. How could you get better just by eating medicine?” Old Master Ye simply sighed as he waved his hand at her, gesturing for her to move closer to him.

Shen Qi took a few steps forward before she stopped cautiously.

“Remember to buy some medicine. If you recovered a bit after taking your medicine, remember to go to the company to visit Moxuan.”

Shen Qi nodded. “I understand, Old Master Ye.”

“Alright!” Old Master Ye nodded in a satisfied manner. “Go then.”

After she left the Ye residence, Shen Qi gave Han Xueyou a call. The latter was fast as she reached within 20 minutes.

After she got into the car, Han Xueyou asked the expressionless person beside her. “Have you thought things through? Are you going to get an abortion?”

Shen Qi nodded with determination.

However, Heaven had other things in store for her…

“Miss Shen, according to the results of the scan, your endometrium lining is especially thin. If I were to perform a procedure on you now, it would lead to perforation and bleeding.

And if the bleeding is serious, it’ll put your life in danger. On the other hand, even if it isn’t a serious case, you might not be able to get pregnant again for the rest of your life. In my opinion, I really advise you against an abortion.”

When she heard this, Shen Qi frowned. Han Xueyou, who was beside her, looked surprised as well. “So she can’t get an abortion?”

“She can, but I advise against it.” The doctor sighed gently and said, “Please take a moment to rethink this.”

After they exited the hospital, Han Xueyou was frowning deeply. “If you cannot get an abortion, what should you do? Oh my God! Why is this so troublesome?!”

“I don’t know as well.”

“I’ll send you back first then.”

Shen Qi nodded, but then she shook her head. “Please send me to the company instead.”

When she arrived at the entrance of Ye Group Building, Han Xueyou comforted her, “You can go in first. I’ll go back and help you contact the doctor.”

“Thank you so much, Xueyou! I’ll get going first.”

The staff at the counter had a strong impression of her considering she came here the last time, hence she got into the elevator smoothly. She then rode on the elevator until she reached the President’s office, which was located on the highest floor.

The office doors weren’t shut, and when Shen Qi was about to knock on the door, she overheard an ongoing conversation.

“The last time I asked you to find a person, you brought me that woman. This time, you brought me a woman who’s already married. Xiao Su, am I being too lenient on you, or did you forget to use your brain while handling these matters?!”

Ye Moxuan was sitting inside his office as he tapped the table in front of him with his slender fingers. His gaze was sharp while he exuded an imposing aura.

Xiao Su was lectured by Ye Moxuan as he stood in front of the office desk, his head hung low like a puppy.

When she saw this, Shen Qi subconsciously hid behind the door.

“Young Master Ye, I swear to you that it wasn’t intentional. It was because the information that you gave me was too little to go on. Hence, I would rather make a mistake rather than to let the opportunity go.” Xiao Su felt aggrieved because he had been working for Ye Moxuan for a long time, and he usually dealt with work-related matters. Even if some trouble arose, he was able to resolve it quickly.

Yet, he was currently tasked to find a mysterious woman with not much information on her. So, how could it be that simple?

“I gave you too little information? Please! Can’t you collect the information yourself?” Ye Moxuan sneered as his penetrating gaze turned dark. Then, he stopped his gentle tapping. “So, you’re saying that it’s my fault?”

His cold tone instantly made Xiao Su stand upright, and he quickly shook his head to refute that statement.

“I didn’t mean it that way! Young Master Ye, I’ll arrange more people to investigate this matter. Next time, I’ll personally interrogate that person before I bring her to you.”

“Interrogate?”

“Don’t worry. If it’s actually her, I would not harm her.”

“Get out then!” Ye Moxuan finally got a satisfactory answer, thereupon he tugged the tie in front of his chest impatiently.

Xiao Su looked eager to be chased out of the office; the air in the office was so tense that he didn’t wish to stay there any longer. “Okay!”

After Xiao Su exited the office, he closed the door before turning around to see Shen Qi standing by the wall.

Xiao Su immediately pulled her into the corner. “Do you want to die? How dare you eavesdrop on our conversation?”

When she heard this, Shen Qi shook her head. “I couldn’t help overhearing your conversation just as I was passing by. Who’s that person he wants to find?”

When he heard this, Xiao Su narrowed his eyes. “Miss Shen, I have to advise you not to ask anything that you shouldn’t.
