“You rascal! Are you trying to ruin the Ye Family by hurting others like that for no reason?”

Once she thought of the fact that Ye Moxuan was right outside her door, Shen Qi’s initial weariness turned into full-blown anxiety. She also realized with a start that Ye Moxuan would be furious with her since he found out that she was having a shower in someone else’s bathroom.
In that instant, Shen Qi panicked, and she wasn’t sure what she should do.
“Open the door.”
Ye Moxuan demanded.
Shen Qi’s expression stiffened while she replied in a soft voice, “I-I can’t.”

The lounge was quiet with only Ye Moxuan alone, seated on his wheelchair.

“What manner are you referring to? Not fighting back? Or are you saying that if you bump into such situations again, you’ll still get into a catfight with them?”
Shen Qi was already upset to begin with, and coupled with Ye Moxuan’s horrible scolding, she felt overwhelmed by sadness, which came surging in her chest. She felt terrible trying to hold back her emotions, and she clenched her fists tightly involuntarily.
“I will obey you, Young Master Ye. Your wish is my command.”
Ye Moxuan frowned deeply when he saw her trying to bury her emotions and feelings.

Shen Qi lowered her gaze without noticing Ye Moxuan’s expression. The only thing she was aware of was the anger in his tone.

There were a few scratches on Shen Qi’s fair face, and from Ye Moxuan’s point of view, it felt as if he was stabbed in his heart.

She did not plan to fight with others; in fact, she just lost her temper.
She heard him sigh, and his hand which was pinching her chin shifted and held the back of her head before pressing it against his chest. Then Shen Qi leaned against Ye Moxuan’s chest in bewilderment.

Just when she was pondering, Ye Moxuan’s chest rumbled while he started speaking. “I will—”

At that moment, someone knocked on the office door.
“Young Master Ye, the doctor is here!”

Shen Qi looked up at Ye Moxuan the moment she heard that, and his complicated gaze met her eyes. “Get up. Let the doctor check if you’ve sustained any injuries.”

Shen Qi blushed slightly before replying to him, “Alright, then. I’ll get going.”
With that, she left hurriedly.
When she arrived downstairs, she realized that most people were avoiding her, and she figured it was most probably due to the incident in the afternoon, and they assumed that she was a scary person in general.
Shen Qi quickened her steps and walked toward the supermarket. True enough, she spotted Han Xueyou’s car once she arrived in front of the supermarket, and so she approached the car to knock against the car window. However, Han Xueyou seemed to be spacing out in the car and was deep in thought while ignoring Shen Qi completely.
Shen Qi was confused, and so she knocked on the car window again while calling out for her. “Xueyou?”
Han Xueyou continued to ignore her. What is on her mind?
Shen Qi had no choice but to rap against the car window while yelling loudly, and only then did Han Xueyou snap back to reality with a start. When she saw Shen Qi standing beside her car, she lowered the car window in a rush.
“Qi, you are here.”
“What’s up with you, spacing out in the car? I’ve arrived for quite some time now.” Shen Qi smiled sweetly at her before making her way to the other side to open the car door of the co-driver seat.
However, Han Xueyou spoke abruptly. “Don’t get in the car. Let’s head up to the third floor in the supermarket. There’s a dessert shop there.”

“I was at fault,” explained Shen Qi softly. “I was excited earlier, and that was why I knocked into her when I stood up just now. If we were to be technical about things, I was the one who broke their glass.”
Han Xueyou snorted and stopped chatting with her.
However, Han Xueyou thought of something suddenly as she smiled at Shen Qi with narrowed eyes. “Why were you so excited? Were you excited because you managed to find that man?”

Han Xueyou squinted at her. “To be honest, you’re trying to leave Ye Moxuan as soon as possible because you can’t stand him, aren’t you?”
