Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 741

After the meeting ended, Han Muzi hailed a cab and sent Xiao Su back to the hospital.

Xiao Su was unwilling in the beginning, but Han Muzi said to him directly, “This is not a small injury. Your whole body is wounded and if they don’t heal properly, how would you be able to handle the company’s affairs in the future? We have a tough fight waiting for us.”

Xiao Su was convinced. He then went to the hospital as told.

Han Muzi was preparing to head over to the office directly, but someone was blocking her way when she made a turn at the corner. When she realized who was in her way, Han Muzi stopped and gave the person a cold-eyed stare. “Is there anything you need?”

It was not a random person who was in her way. It was someone from the meeting earlier, Ye Linhan. Old Master Ye was not around now, for someone just sent him to the nursing home. Despite the fact that Old Master Ye still withhold those sharp savvy eyes, he had to sit on a wheelchair, and since he was unable to stand up, he couldn’t oppose. Should he be assailed with some illness, then they would have all the more reason to send him to a nursing home.

It was not that Han Muzi didn’t respect the elders, but it was because of what she heard from Ye Moxuan. In order to force Ye Moxuan to return to the Ye Family, Old Master Ye unscrupulously caused the death of his mother. The impact of this traumatic experience that was left with young Ye Moxuan was immeasurable.

Old Master Ye shouldn’t be deemed as someone who was respectable. He was merely employing Ye Moxuan as a seed of interest.

Ye Linhan stood in front of her, with his eyes lowered. His gaze happened to settle on the documents that were in her hands. For unknown reason, when he gazed at her, Han Muzi felt a shiver down her spine and she cautiously took two steps back. Ye Linhan paused for a moment and abruptly raised his head. “Are you wary of me now?”

Han Muzi remained silent.

“Are we not friends anymore? I didn’t expect… that we would end up like this.” Ye Linhan took one step closer to Han Muzi.

Han Muzi’s eyes widened as she took another two steps back. Ye Linhan suddenly reached out and clasped her arms. He lifted both of her hands above the head and pressed them against the cold wall beside her.

“Ah!” Han Muzi was caught off guard and everything in her hands fell on the ground. Her heart was at her mouth as she widened her eyes. Her pupils were violently constricting as she stared at Ye Linhan.

When Ye Linhan approached her, he could clearly feel it in her arms that she was resisting. It was obvious in her eyes that her anger and disgust were magnified in front of him. But… the lady before his eyes, was someone he deeply adored. Yet somehow, he couldn’t have her.

“What are you afraid of? Are you afraid of me stealing your contract? Muzi, I believe you are aware of my care and affection for you. You know that.”

Han Muzi’s breathing became rapid as she bit her bottom lip. “Let go. If you refuse to let go, I will call the police.”

“Then what?” Ye Linhan sneered. “Are you going to sue for me for harassment when the police arrive?”

Han Muzi went silent.

“You shouldn’t need to do this. Because… even if I planned to do so, I just don’t have the heart to do it.” When he finished, he let out a deep sigh. “I only wanted to have a few words with you. I returned to the office to temporarily manage the company for Ye Moxuan. Since I used to be the company’s Vice President, I am familiar with most things, and the company cannot be left unmanaged for too long.”

Whilst being controlled, Han Muzi was struggling. However, her strength was no match for his. After several failed attempts, she yelled angrily, “Dare you say you have no selfish interest in this?”

Ye Linhan lowered his eyes, his breathing slowed. “Yes, I do.” He admitted it directly, to which Han Muzi responded with a sneer.

“Even if I own up to my own self-interest, it’s definitely not because I wanted to acquire the company. It’s because of you.”

Han Muzi was speechless.

“I know you are not willing to believe me, but I do know your relationship with Moxuan. So if anything happens with the company, you will definitely show up. However, with your state of health at the moment, I didn’t have the heart to let you do this. Hence, instead of letting you handle it on your own… I would rather do it myself. Nevertheless, I didn’t anticipate that this is how you thought of me. Muzi, I never meant to hurt you. Everything I had done… was all for you.”

“Then let go of me.”

Ye Linhan was stunned for a moment and quickly released her hands. He looked at her for a short while before bending over to collect the pieces of documents that were scattered on the floor. He only handed it back to her after arranging it properly. “Sorry, I was slightly emotional earlier. The second I thought… that you didn’t believe in me, it made me agitated. Here, I will give it back to you. I hope you don’t mind.”

Han Muzi took her things, raised her eyes and took a glance at Ye Linhan. “Who is not good at sugar-coating? It frightens me even more when someone does not dare to admit his own selfish interests.”

Ye Linhan completely froze. He thought that she would have understood after everything he explained, but he didn’t expect… that she hadn’t changed at all.

Han Muzi walked past him, leaving Ye Moxuan behind as he stood at the same spot.

After a busy day, Han Muzi returned home and collapsed on the couch immediately without removing her makeup. It was her first day at work on this day. She felt extremely tired and she thought that her body was slightly incapable to handle the exhaustion.

As she lay down, Han Muzi dozed off. In her sleep, she seemed to have felt someone rubbing her face with some sort of object. Unknowingly, Han Muzi stretched out her hands and waved it off, but the sensation returned again. She reluctantly opened her eyes only to realize that Little Bean was kneeling in front of her. He was holding a bottle of pregnancy-friendly makeup remover while helping to remove her makeup at the same time.

Noticing that his mom was awake, Little Bean said in his baby voice, “Mommy, are you waking up already? But I haven’t removed the makeup on your eyes. Can you close your eyes for a moment please?”

Since it was Little Bean’s request, Han Muzi immediately shut her eyes without hesitation. After closing her eyes, she could hear Little Bean mumbling, “Mommy, it’s almost done.”

Han Muzi nodded as she let Little Bean remove her makeup at ease. This situation was not the first. It used to happen when she was abroad. She would come home after a long day and fall directly into sleep, but when she woke up, her makeup had already been removed. So, who says only a daughter can be this caring? Boys can do this too.

“It’s done, mommy.” After that, Little Bean jumped off the bed, then took a hot towel to wipe off the excess oil stains on Han Muzi’s face. Then, he said, “Mommy, I heard from Aunt Yan that you are having a baby? Does that mean I am going to have a sister now?”

As Han Muzi heard that, a thought struck her. “A sister? Little Bean, do you want a sister?”

“Well, a sister or a brother is fine. As long as Mommy likes it, I’ll like it too.”

Han Muzi’s lips curved upward, forming a smile. “Mommy doesn’t know if it’s a girl or a boy yet, but are you willing to welcome the baby, regardless of whether it is going to your brother or your sister?”

Previously, she was slightly worried that Little Bean would be unhappy when he found out about the news. After all, he was always the only child and she had never anticipated that she would get pregnant again.

“I know it’s really hard for you, Mommy.” He threw his arm around her neck with his face lightly pressed against hers as he said, “As long as you are happy, Mommy, then I am happy too.”

Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 742

Han Muzi closed her eyes as she hugged her son tightly.

Moxuan, look at our son. He is so well behaved, obedient and kind-hearted. How are you willing to leave us to ourselves? she thought to herself.

Come back quickly! We will always be waiting for you.

Time flew by in a blink of an eye; it was already a month later.

The company was operating as usual. In the beginning, many thought that Ye Group would be a pushover when Ye Moxuan had a mishap. They wanted to cancel their partnership, and many even wanted to breach the contract.

However, the situation was all settled by Han Muzi personally.

Of course, she had her brother Han Qing to back her up. Su Jiu too assisted with a lot of work and Xiao Su was also helping out while he was recovering from his injury. Finally, everything was back to normal.

As for the design company, it was completely managed by Yan. Han Muzi definitely wasn’t able to handle both companies at the same time.

When Yan had some free time, she would occasionally come over to help her. At present, she was with Han Muzi in the office organizing some information while she asked, “Shall we take lunch at the cafeteria later this afternoon?”

“Yeah. Anything is fine.” Han Muzi nodded.

Ye Group was unlike other places; the sanitation and safety precautions were splendid. Han Muzi had been eating in the company’s cafeteria ever since she arrived.

Yan nodded. “The food at your cafeteria actually tastes really good. It’s almost lunch time; why don’t we head over now so it’s more peaceful? Then, we’ll be able to come back earlier after lunch.”

Han Muzi glanced at the time and thought the idea of eating earlier and returning earlier was doable. So, she tidied up her things, got up and went downstairs together with Yan.

The two went to the cafeteria only to realize that the line was already quite long, but Han Muzi never abused her privileges, so they headed over to join the queue.

When they were at the queue, they overheard the conversation of two female employees who were lining in front of them whispering to each other.

“Hey, do you think from now on the lady will continue to be in charge of Ye Group? It has been such a long while. I wonder why Young Master Ye hasn’t returned yet.”

After hearing this, Han Muzi paused for a moment and knitted her eyebrows. Yan, who was standing behind her, made a move but was stopped by Han Muzi.

“What nonsense are you talking about? It’s been a month. If Young Master Ye were to come back, he would’ve been back already.”

“Huh?”

“What? Are you having a mental lapse? Do you presume the plane accident as a trivial matter? There were only a few survivors found, yet you still assume that anyone could be so lucky to have survived that accident?”

“But, the officials have not located Young Master Ye’s body, right?”

“Yeah. Even though the body was not found, it was not included among the survivors too. Do you think locating a body in this vast boundless sea is that easy? I’ve heard from insiders that other than the survivors and the bodies that were found, the rest were missing and Young Master Ye was one of them.”

After listening to this, the lady covered her mouth in shock.

“No way. There were so many people missing. Seems like it will be fraught with grim possibilities.”

“In the future, I reckon Ye Group will be handled by that Han lady. Although she might look young, she can be quite shady. I heard when Young Master Ye’s elder brother wanted to temporarily substitute as the president, she disagreed. According to her, she said since she’s the wife of Young Master Ye, she has the right to take over the position. In my opinion, I think the lady only came for Young Master Ye’s wealth in the first place. She did not shed a tear even after he’s dead. Instead, she immediately wanted to take over the position.”

“No way… She doesn’t seem to be that kind of person.”

“No way? You’re too naive. I’ve seen too many women of this type.”

Meanwhile, after hearing that, Yan who was standing behind Han Muzi couldn’t take it anymore. If it wasn’t for Han Muzi who stopped her, she would’ve stomped forward already.

However, she finally cursed out loud at them. “What type of woman have you seen?”

The sudden outburst of the question interrupted the two’s discussion. The female employee who insulted Han Muzi turned around and instinctively landed her eyes on Han Muzi. She looked delicate and beautiful but her face was impassive. Nonetheless, standing behind her was Yan, who was staring at her fiercely.

Her expression changed immediately when she realized they had overheard what she said earlier. Considering the fact that her fate in the future was now uncertain, she took the lid off and proclaimed, “Am I wrong? Young Master Ye would never be able to come back, but she hypocritically remained in her position as the Vice President and tried to manage everything. She even hired outsiders like you to manage the company. I know that the Han Family has always been oppressed by the Ye Family, so you’re clearly trying to work out a collusion inside out and take full control of the Ye Group for the Han Family.”

Yan widened her eyes and stared at her in disbelief.

“How could you utter such nonsense?”

She was really mad. She wanted to rush over and reason with her, but Han Muzi stopped her and she returned the ladies with a smile. “May I know who told you that Ye Moxuan will not be coming back?”

She was stunned for a moment, because she did not foresee that the problem that troubled Han Muzi was actually the question concerning Young Master Ye.

“What you said was right. He was neither among the survivors, nor was his body found. The concept of disappearance actually, is that nothing can be confirmed yet. So when you insist that he can’t come back, does that mean you are trying to start a rumor?”

“I…”

Han Muzi shifted her gaze and said faintly, “The Ye Group needs employees who are capable, not someone who only knows how to insult people behind their back and curse their employers. Please go back and pack your things, then leave Ye Group immediately.”

The lady widened her eyes suddenly. “Are you laying me off now?”

Her voice was so loud that it attracted everyone’s attention around her. When everybody looked over, they realized that Han Muzi was there. No one dared to speak as they quietly witnessed the whole scene.

Han Muzi lowered her head and checked the time on her wrist-watch. “Okay. The time now is about 11.10 a.m. If I find out that you are still hanging around in the company by 11.30 a.m., I will directly sue you for trespassing the company.”

“You!” The lady was exasperated. She gritted her teeth and glared at her. “My uncle owns shares in this company and he is one of the shareholders. So you can’t fire me!”

“Really?” Han Muzi smiled faintly. “Who is your uncle then?”

“My uncle is…” Just when she was about to blurt out her uncle’s name, the other lady beside her quickly gave her a yank and bowed to apologize to Han Muzi.

“Sorry, I’m really sorry. My friend said something on the spur of the moment. She didn’t mean to defame both you and Young Master Ye. We usually take our work seriously and this time we made a mistake to gossip about something like this. We are willing to learn from our mistakes. Can you please give us another chance?”

Han Muzi took a glance at her as she recalled this lady who stood up for her earlier.

She thought that Han Muzi did not appear to be that kind of person.

With only one sentence, Han Muzi actually gained a good impression on her. After all, there were too many people in this company who despise her.

“Since your friend interceded for you, I will assume nothing has happened today. But if… in the future, I find anyone talking nonsense about Young Master Ye, I won’t be this lenient anymore.”

She could accept anyone who badmouthed her, but she wouldn’t let people curse Ye Moxuan for not coming back!

She could not allow it!

Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 743

As the ladies left, Yan was pulling Han Muzi. “You are just going to let her go that easily?”

Han Muzi glanced around. “Mentioning the dismissal was meant to frighten them, and to shut someone’s mouth.”

After the two sat down with their meal, Yan quietly glanced around their surroundings. She then lowered her voice and asked, “But do you plan to wait forever?”

After hearing that, Han Muzi paused for a moment before raising her eyes to look at Yan. She said nothing.

Yan was slightly frightened by her cold stare. She recoiled and explained, “Actually, I have no other meaning. I only wanted to know if this lack of news of him persists, are you planning to wait forever? And to keep on managing the company for him? If this continues, you are going to be really exhausted.”

“Yan.” Han Muzi suddenly called her name.

“Huh?”

For the first time, Han Muzi looked at Yan in all seriousness and listened to what she said.

“I won’t be waiting forever, because he will come back.”

As her gaze was firm, there was nothing Yan could say. She nodded and resumed eating.

To be honest, while waiting throughout this one month’s time, not only Yan but many felt something must have happened to Ye Moxuan in the plane accident and that he would not be able to come back.

However, only Han Muzi and Little Bean had strong faith that Ye Moxuan would eventually return, that his disappearance was only temporary.

Yan sighed internally and felt sorry as she glanced at Han Muzi who looked frailed.

How much determination does it take to have such a firm belief?

Suddenly, Yan thought to herself, Although I can’t be with Han Qing, I feel blessed as long as I can see him everyday, alive and healthy.

It was nothing like Han Muzi’s case; they were in love, but they couldn’t be together.

If anything really happened to Ye Moxuan, they would be permanently separated; one in heaven and the other on earth.

However, this was something Yan dared not mention in front of Han Muzi.

After the meal, they returned to their respective duties.

After the day’s work was done, Han Muzi had to drag her exhausted body home again. When she was about to lie down, she received a phone call from Su Jiu.

“Secretary Su?” Han Muzi was puzzled about what she could be needed for as it was after working hours.

“Miss Muzi, I have news that I needed to break to you.”

Her tone sounded solemn.

Han Muzi, who was feeling extremely tired at this moment, suddenly sat up straight when she heard the serious tone in Su Jiu’s voice.

It had already became a norm that Su Jiu had to call her daily for these few days, but she rarely talked to her in this serious manner.

Her heart was pounding at this moment; Han Muzi could feel her throat getting dry from the anticipation.

“What’s… the matter?”

Su Jiu was smiling at her end and her tone was then filled with joy. “Miss Muzi, we have located Young Master Ye.”

Han Muzi was stunned for a long while before she finally came back to her senses. She felt a wave of lightheadedness building up before her eyes, but fortunately, she did not pass out.

She was feeling greatly emotional upon receiving this piece of news, so she bit her bottom lip and held on to her phone tightly.

“Is what you said true?” After she finished the sentence, Han Muzi stood up abruptly. “Is he really found? Where was he found? Is he okay?”

“Miss Muzi, don’t worry. We have the updates now and it’s 80% accurate. However, there are some things we are unsure of. So… we might require you to head over there in person, Miss Muzi.”

Things that are uncertain?

“What is it?”

Su Jiu did not answer her question directly. She merely said, “President Han mentioned that according to your temperament, Miss Muzi, it would probably be impossible for you to wait overnight. Even if you were to wait, you wouldn’t be able to sleep. So, I have already arranged tonight’s flight ticket for you and Mr. Nan is already on his way to pick you up now.”

“Mr. Nan is already coming?”

“Yes. He will be at your place in about 20 minutes, so you still have some time to pack. By the way, you wouldn’t need to worry about Little Bean, Miss Muzi. He will be taken care of.”

She had Han Qing and Yan here, so Han Muzi wasn’t worried about Little Bean. Hence, she nodded in agreement.

“Well, you should go pack, Miss Muzi. I’ll hang up now.”

After she hung up, Han Muzi put down her phone, got up and went to pack her things.

When she opened her wardrobe to extract the luggage, Han Muzi’s hands trembled and the luggage fell off.

She froze for a few seconds before quickly proceeding to pack.

Although she had 20 minutes, Han Muzi only took several minutes to finish packing. She took her passport and left the house to wait outside.

Mr. Nan had yet to arrive at Seabay Villa. Han Muzi did not know how long she had been waiting until she finally saw Mr. Nan’s car.

“Mr. Nan!” Han Muzi felt overwhelmed when she saw Mr. Nan getting out of the car.

“Miss Muzi.” Mr. Nan smiled gently as he walked over. Instinctively, he took over the luggage in Han Muzi’s hands and placed it in the trunk while he said, “Mr. Han had asked me to pick you up for the airport and to also get you something to eat. I reckon that you have yet to take your dinner, Miss Muzi?”

Han Muzi shook her head, but she couldn’t care less about dinner. She looked at Mr. Nan and asked, “Mr. Nan, what Secretary Su said… Is it true?”

Up until now, her heart had not calmed down and she felt as if there were fireworks going off in her brain. The promise he whispered in her ear and countless flashbacks flooded her mind, as though she was having her life flashing through her eyes at the moment.

After Mr. Nan had settled the luggage, he raised his head and noticed that Han Muzi was looking at him with red eyes. He was soft-hearted, so he kindly said, “Miss Muzi, if it didn’t have a high probability, Secretary Su and President Han wouldn’t have bought you a flight ticket. So this is probably something good. Don’t feel bad, Miss Muzi. Hurry up and get in the car.”

Han Muzi was in a stupor, but she quickly returned to her senses.

Yeah, this should be a good thing.

Why should she be upset?

When she thought of this, Han Muzi instantly withdrew those tears that were welling up in her eyes. She allowed herself to break a smile and said gently, “Mr. Nan, you’re right. If they were not confident, my brother and Secretary Su would never have told me about it.”

“Shall we head over to the airport now?”

“Okay.”

Han Muzi nodded and hopped into the car with Mr. Nan.

After getting in the car, Mr. Nan looked at the navigation and asked, “It will probably take some time to get to the airport, but Mr. Han had already instructed that you should grab dinner first, so…”

“Mr. Nan, we can go straight to the airport. There are restaurants over there. I will simply look for one to grab dinner.”

“That’s fine too.”

Mr. Nan sent Han Muzi to the airport safely. When Han Muzi got out of the car, she spotted Su Jiu who was waiting for her at the roadside.

When she saw Han Muzi getting out of the car, Su Jiu sped up to help her with the luggage. “President Han is waiting for you inside.”

“Okay.”

Han Muzi followed Su Jiu to the security check. After they passed the security check, Su Jiu then took her to a restaurant.

Han Qing was sitting at the corner by the window; on the table was a notebook and a cup of hot coffee.

“You’re here.” Han Qing raised his gaze and before he was able to give a response, Han Muzi ran toward him and asked, “Qing, the news… Is it reliable?”

Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 744

Even though she already knew that Han Qing wouldn’t have told her if he wasn’t certain, she was worried about what she stood to lose.

All of this felt so surreal; after all, a lot of time had passed, but they still had no clue of Ye Moxuan’s whereabouts.

Even if they got wind of his location, she wouldn’t think it was real; it felt as though the information was so fragile that it would pop like a bubble if someone so much as mentioned it.

Han Qing had never really seen Han Muzi behave in such a way. She was already a mother of one, but at that moment, she looked like a young lady as she stared at him with her red and pitiful eyes; her face was full of unrest, making it seem like her soul itself was trembling restlessly.

He reached out his hand to cover the top of her head. The warmth from his palm just passed on to her continuously, comforting her with his unique actions.

“Don’t worry.”

Han Qing’s thin lips finally moved, bringing a calm and peaceful vibe along with it. “I wouldn’t do anything preposterous, would I?”

Han Qing’s promise calmed her down immensely, but as long as she did not see Ye Moxuan with her own two eyes, she couldn’t help but feel something nagging in the back of her mind constantly.

It was the kind of feeling that would only disappear if she got to see and touch him after Ye Moxuan returned to her side safely.

“Sit,” Han Qing said as he pulled her up and passed her a menu. “You must be hungry seeing that you rushed over here as soon as work ended. Let’s have some food first.”

Han Muzi shook her head and said, “I’m not in the mood to eat anything right now.”

“You should eat something even if you have no appetite; they are not going to provide meals on our flight later. Do you want to meet him on an empty stomach?”

Han Muzi kept quiet while Su Jiu sat down beside her and laughed awkwardly. “Even if you’re not hungry, you can’t starve the baby inside you. It’s about time the baby eats something.”

Han Muzi was unable to refute that; with pressure from both sides, Han Muzi could only order herself something to eat and drink.

Initially, she felt like she had zero appetite at all, feeling as if all her thoughts were with Ye Moxuan.

She wasn’t sure if it was because she was pregnant, but when the food entered her mouth, she had actually found it tasty.

There was still some time left before their flight. Han Qing took a slice of the steak and said, “It’s still early, so you can take your time. You should take good care of yourself so you can have the energy to go see people. When the time comes…”

Han Qing didn’t continue any further, but his gaze turned serious instead.

“When the time comes for what?” Han Muzi took a bite and stared at Han Qing. She seemed to have suddenly thought of something.

“Oh right, Secretary Su told me over the phone that there were some doubts that you needed me to resolve personally. Now that I’m here, what kind of doubts did you have?”

As soon as he mentioned it, Han Qing’s and Su Jiu’s eyes met. Su Jiu bashfully smiled and said, “It’s not the right time to talk about this matter yet. Let’s talk about it after we get off our flight.”

Why are they so mysterious…

Something was bothering Han Muzi; she furrowed her brows and put down the chopsticks in her hand, unable to take another bite.

“Just tell me the truth—this has something to do with Ye Moxuan, doesn’t it?”

Su Jiu nodded.

Han Muzi suddenly became restless. “Did something happen to him?”

Su Jiu didn’t respond while Han Qing lowered his hand and drank his coffee.

“Secretary Su? Is he hurt? Tell me, is he alright? Is he safe?”

Su Jiu felt that if she continued to say nothing, Han Muzi would have been livid. Pregnant women could not afford to have mood swings like that, so she immediately voiced out, “Don’t worry, Miss Muzi—the doubt that we mentioned has nothing to do with Master Ye’s safety. Master Ye is fine and safe.”

Han Muzi let out a sigh of relief upon hearing that Ye Moxuan was safe.

“As long as he’s safe…”

Any other doubts weren’t as important as his safety.

She couldn’t imagine how he would feel when he sees him, this idiot…

Han Muzi made it a point to thoroughly interrogate him on the reason why he transferred all the assets and shares under his name to her without her consent when the time came.

Did he do all of this so that if he planned on leaving or something were to happen to him, she wouldn’t feel guilty?

She was also going to tell him off for going home and not bringing her along for no reason.

This a*shole…

The more she thought about it, her eyes began to turn red. She picked up her chopsticks and buried herself in the food.

After having their meal, everyone was busy with their own agenda.

Han Qing’s gaze never left his laptop—he even joined a video conference in the midst of it.

Su Jiu was beside him taking notes, so Han Muzi was the most idle person out of the three.

Even though she was always as busy as them when she was in the office, she never took on extra work after office hours.

She knew for a fact that she was pregnant, and she couldn’t do just as she pleased. If something happened to her because she didn’t rest properly, she would implicate the baby in her stomach as well.

Without Ye Moxuan around, she had to step up and take care of their creation as best as she could. Back then, she had even thought that Ye Moxuan would be able to see a lively child right before his eyes by the time he returned.

However, she need not worry about that now; she was going to meet him soon.

The baby was now two months old, and she couldn’t wait to tell him the good news.

When their flight landed in Country A, Han Muzi and the group walked out of the airport while dragging their luggages along with them.

“Are we going to look for Moxuan now?” Han Muzi turned around and asked as they walked on the VIP pathway.

Su Jiu couldn’t help but laugh at the anxious look on Han Muzi’s face. She then said, “Miss Muzi, we’ve been on such a long flight. We’ll go to the hotel, wash up and have some rest first.”

Han Muzi kept quiet. Han Qing simply looked at her and said, “We flew through the night, aren’t you tired?”

“Nope.” Han Muzi shook her head.

She might have been too nervous earlier, so she did not have any rest during the flight. Her palms were sweaty, her heartbeat quickened, and she couldn’t fall asleep no matter how hard she tried.

“Even if you’re not tired, you should get some rest—look at yourself.”

Han Qing pulled out his phone and turned on his front camera before passing it to Han Muzi.

She grabbed the phone and looked at it without another word.

Han Muzi noticed that the dark circles under her eyes were very severe; she didn’t even manage to remove her makeup because she rushed to the airport right after work. After a hectic night, her makeup and hair was all over the place.

She looked like an insane woman, and it was indeed inappropriate to meet Ye Moxuan in such a state.

“Okay, let’s go to the hotel first.”

Even though she was desperate to see Ye Moxuan immediately, she knew she couldn’t do that just yet; she would just scare him off with how she looked.

Yet, the fear of scaring Ye Moxuan with her image and agreeing to go to the hotel instead put more weight on the hearts of Su Jiu and Han Qing.

After all, they had not brought up that problem to Han Muzi; they also had no idea how she would react after she found out about the truth.

Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 745

At the hotel, Han Muzi spent an entire hour to wash her hair, shower, and clean herself up thoroughly.

Afraid that she might smudge her makeup, she didn’t even put any of it on after her shower.

However, she couldn’t even if she wanted to; since she had left in such a hurry, she did not manage to bring any of her cosmetics along with her.

Su Jiu told her she had 20 minutes to prepare, but after taking her suitcase out, she only stuffed several articles of clothing inside it and spent the rest of the time waiting by the door—it was as if she had been possessed.

Han Muzi stood in front of the bathroom mirror in a daze. By the time she snapped out of it, she reached up and gently patted her face.

Immediately after, she paused briefly before changing into pincers for hands and pinched herself in the face.

“Hiss…”

Han Muzi took a deep breath to relieve the pain. In the mirror, she saw a red patch forming on her snow-white omplexion.

It hurts.

It’s real.

It’s not a dream.

Even though it hurt so much that it made her take a sharp breath, Han Muzi couldn’t control the smile on her face as she looked at the red mark on her face.

Han Qing had sent her a Wechat message asking her to sleep for a few hours, informing her that he had called a cab in the afternoon to meet Ye Moxuan.

Han Muzi pondered for a bit, but she didn’t say much and merely replied with the word ‘okay’ and went to rest.

She felt exhausted; after all, she had been in such an excited state for quite some time. She would’ve been fine if it was just her, but due to the pregnancy, it was as if the baby inside her was protesting and asking for some rest.

Almost immediately, Han Muzi fell asleep until afternoon; Su Jiu came to knock on her door and woke her up.

“Miss Muzi, we are leaving in approximately 10 minutes.”

“Okay.”

Han Muzi immediately went back to wash her face and put on something casual; she didn’t even manage to tie up her hair and left with Su Jiu in a hurry.

Han Qing was surprised when he saw her; his sister rarely left her hair unmanaged like that. At the very least, she would usually tie it up no matter how casual she was feeling.

But now, her soft hair flowed downward as it covered almost half of her face, making her look slimmer and smaller than before.

More importantly, she looked so much like their mother when she was younger.

Han Qing was mesmerized by Han Muzi in this state; he only snapped out of it when she had walked right in front of him and called out to him.

This reminded him of their mother who died young, and it just dampened his spirits instantly. He simply responded with a grunt, his voice sounding a little solemn.

As soon as they got into the car, Han Muzi could no longer hold it in and asked, “Where are we going now?”

She looked at the time when they left and noticed that it was getting late.

Su Jiu was sitting on the front passenger’s seat and turned around with a smile after she heard Han Muzi. “You will know when we get there, Miss Muzi.”

Han Muzi paused silently, thinking that there seemed to be something she knew nothing about.

However, she was going to see Ye Moxuan soon. All my questions will be answered when we meet, she thought to herself.

After quite some time had passed, Han Qing—who was sitting beside her—said abruptly, “I have something to ask you.”

Han Muzi looked at him and replied, “What is it?”

Han Qing didn’t turn to look at her; instead, he stared out the window and off to a distance with his lips pursed tightly, not uttering a single word.

After a long pause, Han Qing opened his mouth once more.

“Let’s say we found him, but he doesn’t recognize you—what are you going to do about it?”

Han Muzi looked at him with a thousand questions in her mind.

What is he talking about? What does he mean by Ye Moxuan not recognizing me even if we find him?

“Han Qing, I’m not getting what you’re trying to say. What do you mean he doesn’t recognize me? How can Moxuan not recognize me?”

Han Qing turned around and focused on her face.

“I’m just saying.”

The colour drained from Han Muzi’s face as she was unable to respond; it seemed like she couldn’t take it.

Seeing her like this, Han Qing couldn’t help but furrow his brow and sneered, “I merely pointed out a possibility and you couldn’t handle it. What if it was true?”

“No!”

Han Muzi shook her head violently as she tried very hard to argue on behalf of Ye Moxuan

“It’s impossible! An assumption is an assumption, it cannot be real. How could Moxuan not recognize me? Han Qing, stop joking around.”

As soon as she finished her sentence, she turned her head in agitation, ignoring her brother.

Han Qing pursed his lips in hesitation. “What if I said I wasn’t joking?”

Han Muzi turned around abruptly and stared intensely into Han Qing’s eyes.

In the front passenger’s seat, Su Jiu could feel the obvious tension in the air. However, she had no idea what she could say to resolve the tension in the atmosphere at this moment.

After all, what Han Qing said was true.

Moreover, they were all going to witness this truth momentarily; saying anything else would be meaningless at that point.

“I wasn’t joking with you. It was not an assumption—it is the truth.”

There was a long and uncomfortable pause until Han Qing’s voice rang across the car once more.

Su Jiu could almost smell a whiff of sadness starting to fill the air. She saw Han Muzi through the rear-view mirror sitting still with a blank look on her face, her eyes reddening as time went on.

She knew Han Qing would never lie to her. Ever since he presented her this assumption, she had a feeling that he was speaking the truth. However, she had never imagined it to be true.

She looked at Han Qing with her reddened eyes and said in a self-deprecating tone, “Was this the doubt the both of you mentioned?”

Han Qing had stopped talking, so Su Jiu stepped up to continue the conversation.

“Miss Muzi, we didn’t mean to keep it from you; we also had our doubts when we first found out about this. That is why we wanted you to see for yourself—you’ll understand when you see Master Ye.”

“In that case, where are we going to meet him now?” Han Muzi asked instinctively as she tried to process this piece of heavy news for a long time.

Su Jiu glanced at the navigation system and sighed, “We are just around the corner.”

Several minutes later, the car stopped in front of a tall building. Throughout her years living abroad, Han Muzi had seen her fair share of this building, so she immediately recognized it.

“This… this is—”

“This is Country A’s branch of the world-renowned Yuchi Family,” Su Jiu interrupted as she slowly turned toward Han Muzi. “Our people spotted Young Master Ye here. As to the reason why he’s here, we have also conducted an investigation.”

Su Jiu opened her briefcase and passed some documents to Han Muzi.

Han Muzi bit her lower lip; she received the documents but never opened it.

“At first, we had no idea why Young Master Ye would appear here. However, after our investigation, we found out that Young Master Ye’s aunt—Song An—is actually Yuchi An, the youngest daughter of the Yuchi Family. Her sister—Song Xin—is Young Master Ye’s mother, and she was originally Yuchi Xin. These two sisters used to be the Yuchi Family’s famous sister-duo, but we don’t know why they changed their names and left the Yuchi Family for North City.”

Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 746

Previously, Han Muzi heard that the Yuchi Family had a reputable ranking in the world; what was more, the old man was still taking charge of all the family business.

Even when she was working as a designer, Han Muzi had some dealings with the Yuchi Family. Later on, she slowly rose to popularity after her colleagues noticed that the Yuchi Family were fans of her work.

In particular, people were saying that the Yuchi Family was—and still is—a very powerful entity with the old man still handling the family business.

Although the old man was a bit old, he was very tough and shrewd; anyone who wanted to harm or seize his property would be crippled by him.

At that time, Han Muzi felt puzzled. Hence, she asked him why he kept handling the affairs all by himself. Did he not have any children? Or did he not trust them at all?

Her colleagues told her that Mr. Yuchi had two daughters. However, it seemed like there was a conflict which caused the two sisters to leave the Yuchi Residence together, leaving the old man to guard his family business.

Sigh. Some people were born with a silver spoon in their mouth, yet they didn’t know how to appreciate their power and money; others were born poor and needed to work hard in order to survive. The minute they stopped, they would be left behind. In order to get back up, they had to rely on these big and powerful people for help.

Han Muzi sighed when she heard about the two daughters that had run away, not bothering about the family business.

Why did the two daughters not care about their elderly father and did not want anything to do with the family business?

At that time, she felt that this wasn’t something that would happen to her in the near future, however…

Apparently, Ye Moxuan had some sort of connection with the Yuchi Family.

Song An and Song Xin were Yuchi An and Yuchi Xin back then—it was both incredible and unbelievable at the same time.

Han Muzi bit her lower lip; she had nearly pinched and crushed the document she held in her hand. Sitting next to her, Han Qing did not say a word; instead, he watched the scene silently.

They were sitting in the car; Su Jiu opened her lips and had wanted to say something to Han Muzi, but the latter suddenly pushed open the car door and ran forward regardless.

The two were stunned. Just then, they saw a slender figure walking out from the gates of the tall building in front; a familiar handsome face, eyebrows, but a cold aura lingered. Isn’t that Ye Moxuan?

It turned out that Han Muzi had seen him before opening the car door. Han Qing and Su Jiu looked at each other and quickly got out of the car.

When Han Muzi saw Ye Moxuan’s figure, she got out of the car immediately and ran toward him, but she wasn’t as fast as Han Qing. She had almost reached Ye Moxuan when a hand suddenly grabbed her arm from behind and pulled her back.

“Ah!” Han Muzi exclaimed while struggling.

“Come back,” Han Qing said as he dragged her back. Han Muzi kept trying to pull her hand away while saying, “Let go of me, Han Qing. Let me go.”

Han Qing scrunched his eyebrows, not loosening his grip on her as he said coldly, “He doesn’t know you now, so it’d be useless for you to keep looking for him.”

“I don’t believe it! How long has it been? How could he not know me? Han Qing, please let me go. I want to ask him.”

Upon seeing that he wasn’t going to let her hand go, she bent down and bit his arm.

Han Qing probably didn’t expect that she would do such a thing so suddenly that he let go of her hand when he felt the pain. Then, Han Muzi ran toward the dazed Ye Moxuan.

She rushed in front of Ye Moxuan without giving a care. She stopped in Ye Moxuan’s path and panted as she stood still in front of him.

Ye Moxuan’s movements halted because she had suddenly stepped in front of him.

Seeing the woman with disheveled hair, pale face, reddened eyes, and pale lips, Ye Moxuan’s brows frowned.

Then, he remembered her as a woman who had been trying to strike up a conversation with him the past few days.

In the next second, he looked elsewhere and walked around Han Muzi.

Han Muzi was dumbfounded. She froze for a full five seconds before reacting; she then turned around to catch up and stopped in front of Ye Moxuan again.

Ye Moxuan raised his brows with a displeased look. “Anything?”

Upon hearing that, Han Muzi’s eyes widened in surprise.

He frowned, his eyes and face filled with impatience. Is it true? You don’t know yourself anymore?

No! She didn’t want to believe it.

Obviously, the confession he whispered in her ear before seemed like it was just yesterday. Everyday, she and Little Bean were waiting for him to come back; she had been dreaming of him every night where he would stay next to her and whisper in her dreams.

Why is he acting so cold now?

“Y-You don’t know me?” As Han Muzi asked him, she felt her voice trembling.

The question seemed to make Ye Moxuan feel somewhat amused; he lifted his lips and smiled somewhat mockingly.

“Miss, do I need to know you?”

After uttering those words, he subconsciously raised his hand and played with Han Muzi’s hair ends. Then, his light eyes fell on her pale lips as he casually said, “Even if you want to strike up a conversation, you have to find a decent reason. You look so furious whenever you come here. Are you trying to get my attention?”

Han Muzi was silent.

Upon hearing his words and seeing his expression, her face turned pale.

Noticing that his hand was still playing with her hair together with his careless and light-hearted appearance, Han Muzi felt a dull ache in her heart. Without much thought, she grabbed his hand and said, “Don’t cause anymore trouble and come back with me.”

Ye Moxuan, who was originally just playing with her hair, felt that this woman’s method of striking up a conversation was particularly strange; when other women wanted to strike up a conversation, they would usually want to show their most beautiful side.

However, she was different. She didn’t care if she was wearing casual clothes with no makeup on, or whether her face was bare with messy hair; there was nothing beautiful about her.

When she held Ye Moxuan’s hand up, he was stunned for a moment. He felt as if some sort of electricity passed through their hands, going directly into his heart.

He withdrew his hand abruptly and took a step back while looking at the woman in disgust.

When she saw the disgusted look in his eyes, she felt hurt.

“Why are you being like this?”

She choked; tears were already swimming in her eyes. She opened her eyes wide, trying to keep the tears from falling. If she blinked, those tears would roll down like pearls.

“All along, I have been waiting for you. Do you have any idea how long we’ve been looking for you? Come, we will return to China now.”

“Quick! Young Master Xuan has been entangled by a woman again—go and get rid of that woman.”

Not knowing who had shouted, Han Muzi’s hands were caught by two tall men in an instant. She panicked and looked at Ye Moxuan.

“Help me. Please, help me.”

The woman’s voice sounded like a tiny animal wailing, and her eyes looked at him desperately for help.

Looking at the scene before him, Ye Moxuan’s heart became a little weary for some reason.

Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 747

This woman in front of me is different from those women who have been flirting with me recently. Her eyes are so sad when she looks at me; in fact, she isn’t nervous at all, and I feel it so profoundly.

“Help me…” Han Muzi was still begging him for help, but the despair in her gaze was even more prominent now. The man, who once could never bear even the idea of me suffering, is now just standing there watching me coldly. Could Su Jiu and Han Qing be right? Does he not recognize me anymore? But, why doesn’t he recognize me? Why?

Han Muzi yelled at the top of her lungs, “I don’t believe you! I don’t believe that you do not recognize me. Something must have gone wrong somewhere. You two had better let go of me!”

He saw her fair arms turning red with the two men gripping her tightly. The veins against Ye Moxuan’s temples throbbed, and his scowl deepened. He was just about to instruct them to let her go when another deep and gravelly male voice interjected, “Excuse me, but my younger sister has mistaken you for someone else. We will take her home now. Can you please let go of her?”

Both men who were grabbing Han Muzi realized that she was different from the rest of the women they had encountered so far. After glancing at Han Qing, they noticed that he was well-dressed, and he did not look like a swindler. Hence, the men let go of her.

Han Muzi was about to charge at Ye Moxuan upon her release, but Han Qing grabbed her arm unexpectedly. “Enough! Let’s go home!”

“Qing, let go of me! I have to get an answer out of him. Why doesn’t he recognize me? I don’t believe it… Something must have gone wrong. Qing, can you please help me? No, I don’t need your help. You need to let go of me. I’ll ask him in person.” She lost control of her emotions once again for Ye Moxuan’s sake. It was already unbearable for her after he did the switch in the car. Now that she realized that it was the truth, coupled with Ye Moxuan’s cold indifference, Han Muzi was very close to breaking down.

However, Han Qing was strong, and so he managed to stop her. She was rendered motionless and could not move any closer.

Han Qing looked up to meet Ye Moxuan’s gaze, and the latter was staring back at him as well. “I’m sorry. My sister has mistaken you for someone else. I apologize on her behalf for the inconvenience caused. Mister, I’m sure you can let this slide.”

Ye Moxuan remained silent. He smirked and waved his hand in the air in dismissal.

After that, Han Qing pulled Han Muzi away, but she wouldn’t budge. Instead, she struggled while staring at Ye Moxuan.

“Qing, let go of me. I have lots to ask him. You need to let go of me… Let go of me…” She was not as strong as Han Qing, and so she could only watch as Ye Moxuan walked farther away from her.

Ye Moxuan thought to himself, This woman must have mistaken me for someone else. Otherwise… she wouldn’t have acted so insanely in front of her own brother. However, what does this have to do with me? With that thought in mind, he turned around to leave. After walking for a while, he suddenly heard the woman’s sobs.

Ye Moxuan stopped dead in his tracks subconsciously, and he turned around reflexively. At a quick glance, he saw that the woman, who was holding back her tears all along just now, finally had tears streaming down her cheeks, and she was now sobbing uncontrollably. She kept screaming in denial. In the end, she must have fainted due to emotional exhaustion. Then, Ye Moxuan saw the man, who was supporting her, picked her up straight away and carried her into a car that was parked at the side.

“Young Master Xuan, what are you looking at?” someone asked him from behind.

Ye Moxuan snapped back to his senses upon hearing that, and he shook his head. “Nothing.” I’m not sure why I stared at that woman for such a long time. He pursed his lips together. I can’t seem to shake off the image of tears rolling down her beautiful eyes. Did she… really mistake me for someone else?

“By the way, Young Master Xuan, this is for you.” His subordinate handed him a piece of clean handkerchief.

Ye Moxuan scowled at him. “What is this for?”

His subordinate panicked. “Young Master Xuan, aren’t you particular about cleanliness? Usually, you’d feel uncomfortable if someone were to touch you, and you would usually need to disinfect. Did you forget that the woman held your hand just now?”

Ye Moxuan was stunned to silence when he heard that. That’s right. That woman held my hand earlier. However, I don’t feel uncomfortable at all. Instead, I even felt a tingling sensation that spread into my chest. It wasn’t just that. I even… took the initiative and twirled her hair between my fingers. That is not my usual behavior.

Ye Moxuan scowled while accepting the handkerchief. Then, he lowered his head and wiped his hands clean. The image of those pretty eyes crying filled his mind again, and it affected Ye Moxuan’s mood. He tossed the handkerchief to his subordinate and spat, “Take it away.”

“Okay.” His subordinate held onto the handkerchief. “Young Master Xuan, Old Master would like to see you now,” he announced respectfully.

Yuchi Jin? Ye Moxuan nodded. “I got it.”

A luxurious and ancient-looking building stood hidden in the luscious green bamboo forest. Yuchi Jin had bought this piece of land. As a Chinese, he expanded his business abroad, and so he instructed people to build this residence based on Chinese-style architecture. Yuchi Jin had supervised the construction in person, starting from the design, right up to the completed product.

No one would have expected for Yuchi Jin’s privately built residence to have a miniature bridge and a flowing stream. Even the entrance was the most traditional arched door. It did not stop there because the walkways were graveled paths, and there were weeds peeking between the pebbles. There were many plants and trees along the way, and it gave an illusion as if one was in a summer resort.

Yuchi Jin personally liked this style. Besides, he would always attend auctions for antiques. Anyone who knew Yuchi Jin would know that he loved antiques because he was also an antique collector.

A towering figure crossed the miniature bridge, and it walked along the pebbled walkway. Finally, it entered the house.

“Young Master Xuan, you are home. Old Master is waiting for you in the study.”

Despite living abroad, Yuchi Jin’s servants in the house were all Chinese. They were all old folks, whom he brought along with him, because they were people he trusted.

“Alright.” Ye Moxuan made his way to the study and knocked on the door. He was greeted with a stern voice. “Enter.”

After that, Ye Moxuan pushed the door open to enter the room. An old man holding a cane was seated on a mahogany couch while chatting with a man who was seated across him.

“Xuan, you are home.” Yuchi Jin pointed at the chair beside him, signaling Ye Moxuan to take a seat.

“Medical Director Hao is planning to return to China for a while. He is paying us a visit before he leaves to check on your recovery.”

Medical Director Hao had a cup of tea in his hand. He explained with a smile, “That’s right, my wife and child are in China, and I might stay for half a month this time. That is why I am here to check on your condition and recovery, Young Master Xuan. Do you… still feel dizzy lately?”

Ye Moxuan his lips together, but he shook his head. Previously, during the early stages after waking up, I would get a splitting headache and feel dizzy before losing consciousness when I tried recalling my lost memories. However, I have been calmer these days, and so I rarely feel dizzy anymore.

Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 749

Han Muzi sat on the bed after she woke up and had two pillows supporting her back. Her eyes seemed blank and hollow; it was obvious that she felt directionless.

Su Jiu poured her a glass of warm water, but Han Muzi refused to accept it. Su Jiu merely placed the glass down after sighing softly. “To be honest, Young Master Ye is no longer who he was from before. He is no longer Ye Moxuan, to be exact. His name has been replaced by the Yuchi Family to Yuchi Shen,” Su Jiu explained.

“Yuchi Shen…” Han Muzi felt bitter as the name rolled off her tongue. “So what? Are you saying that he does not recognize me anymore? Not only that, he is not even called Ye Moxuan anymore. Instead, he is known as Yuchi Shen now. I can’t accept this and I will not believe this. You must have found the wrong man. My Ye Moxuan will never not recognize me.”

Su Jiu answered, “Miss Muzi, this is the reality. I don’t think Young Master Ye changed his name. I don’t think he’s aware of what has happened.”

“He is not aware…” Han Muzi shut her eyes. “You must have found the wrong man.”

Su Jiu sighed once again. “Miss Muzi, what are your thoughts? Would you listen to my explanation even if you refused to believe what’s going on?”

Han Muzi did not answer her, but did not reject her either. Su Jiu then elaborated in a quiet voice, “Miss Muzi, have you heard of memory loss?”

Han Muzi’s fingertips trembled and she turned to look at Su Jiu abruptly. “Are you saying that…”

Su Jiu nodded.

“That’s right. Young Master Ye has suffered from memory loss. Otherwise, judging by how in love he was with you, Miss Muzi, it’s not of him to forget you just like that. When we first found him, he did not recognize us at all. We also weren’t sure what happened during the airplane accident too. However, we are convinced that Young Master Ye must have sustained some brain injury and that is why he can’t recall his past.”

“Sustain brain injuries?” Han Muzi’s pale lips quivered and she was clearly in disbelief.

“I’ve inquired with some medical experts about this condition. There are endless possibilities when it comes to severe brain damages and memory loss happened to be one of them. Through Young Master Ye’s reaction when he met you, Miss Muzi, we can be sure that Young Master Ye lost his memories. However, it doesn’t mean that he would never recover his lost memories. Nevertheless, there is no specific treatment from a medical standpoint. A person who has lost his or her memories needed to interact with people whom they knew from their past and visit familiar places that they used to frequent. This is a method used to trigger their memories as it’s able to stimulate the patient to recall their past gradually. However… if the patient can’t bear with it, it can’t be done repeatedly.”

“Are you saying that… if I’m able to take him home, or if I were to show up in front of him frequently, there is the possibility of him regaining his past memories?”

Han Muzi clung onto the last shred of hope when she heard Su Jiu’s explanation. A trace of light gleamed in her empty, dark eyes. It was beneficial to feel despair. Humans needed to have hope in order to keep their days meaningful and hopeful.

Su Jiu nodded. “You can say that. However, this method has no guarantee of success. In any case, Miss Muzi, most things would only work once you worked hard enough on it. In the past, some of the family members gave up searching for the lost victims. It means that… as long as their family members threw in the towel, it no longer mattered whether the missing victim was still alive or not because their family gave up on the chance of meeting the person forever. However, we did not give up. In the end, we found Young Master Ye and that is why… I’m sure Young Master Ye would recall his past as long as you are willing to work hard, Miss Muzi.”

Those words comforted Han Muzi, who had just sunk into a deep and grey hopeless place, because Su Jiu’s advice worked like sparks and colors amidst the grey hopelessness.

Han Muzi straightened her back. “However, I have a problem now. He no longer recognized me. How could I possibly show up in front of him on a frequent basis?”

“That is indeed a problem.” Su Jiu pondered about it seriously. She grinned when she saw Han Muzi’s deep scowl. “You haven’t eaten the whole day. Miss Muzi, why don’t you have a bite at the restaurant downstairs? Have a nap, and you might just think of something tomorrow.”

Will sleeping help me figure a way out? Han Muzi felt it was impossible, but starving her unborn child was not what she wanted either, so she nodded. “Alright, I’ll head down for some food.” In all honesty, she was no longer as anxious as before now that she found Ye Moxuan. He might have forgotten all about me, but… it’s a blessing from God that I saw him alive in person and that he is doing well right now. As for the rest of it, I will try to change the course of events gradually. He has lost his memories, right? In that case, I will find a way for Ye Moxuan to remember me again.

The next morning, Han Muzi and the others arrived in front of the Yuchi Group building, but she did not get out of the car. Instead, she sat in the car and observed the skyscraper through the car window. Ye Moxuan is now Yuchi Shen. The Yuchi Family must have saved him since he showed up here and that is the reason for the name change. However… they merely replaced his first name with ‘Shen’. That means that they know about his original name. Since they know about his original name, they must be aware of what happened to Ye Moxuan in the past. In that case, why did the Yuchi Family choose to give him the Yuchi family name and make him stay here? Could it be possible that the Yuchi Family has no heir? Han Muzi pressed her lips into a thin line and she frowned while being deep in thought.

Han Qing glanced at her from the corners of his eyes. “Do you have a plan? If you try to approach him by force this time and he does not recognize you, what happened yesterday would repeat itself.”

Yesterday, Ye Moxuan stood aside coldly, allowing those two men to grab me. No matter how I cried and pleaded, he acted as if he heard nothing when he turned to walk away. If the same situation were to happen again, I am not sure if I would survive that. She shook her head while answering softly, “Qing, don’t worry. I will not act rashly again.”

After all, Ye Moxuan does not recognize me because he suffers from brain injuries. It is… not entirely his fault. I should be grateful that he is alive. Han Muzi smiled faintly before adding, “I have an idea.”

Han Qing and Su Jiu looked at her questioningly.

“However… my plan will take a long time, and I won’t be able to return to China temporarily.” With that, she glanced at Han Qing. She bit her lower lip and she wore a conflicted expression.

On the other side, Han Qing did not look surprised, as if this was what he had expected. He stated calmly, “Since you found him, I will support your decisions unconditionally as long as you do not hurt yourself. As for returning home, leave it to me to handle the matters in the country if you can’t return to China temporarily.”

Initially, Han Muzi was prepared for him to refute her or at least question her, but it was unexpected that he accepted her decision with just a simple statement.

Her eyes reddened with tears. “Thanks, Qing.”

Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 750

“You don’t have to thank me.” Han Qing patted Han Muzi’s head and gently caressed her hair before he helplessly commented, “It took me a lot of effort to search for you, my younger sister. I don’t mind braving the storm for your sake.”

Su Jiu, who sat in the front passenger seat, thought to herself, Sob, that’s so moving. I feel the tears in my eyes. I also want an older brother who treats me well too. Unfortunately, I don’t have such a kind and generous older brother. On the contrary, I only have a gambler for a younger brother. Sigh, I shouldn’t compare myself to others, otherwise I might just die of anger.

Su Jiu was curious. “Miss Muzi, I heard you saying that you had an idea just now.” Did she really figure a way out after a nap?

Han Muzi nodded. “Since he works in this company, I would have to figure out a way to join the company.” I suppose he wouldn’t treat me like a stranger if I showed up in front of him as an employee of the company. She smiled at this thought and couldn’t help but feel pleased with her ingenuity.

“You planned to join this company?” Su Jiu was in shock, but she collected herself. “Right, you are more than qualified to do so. Why have I not thought of that? Although the Yuchi Family is involved in a wide variety of businesses, fashion design has always been their main industry. Furthermore, it’s your forte, Miss Muzi.”

Han Muzi nodded with a slight smile. Lady Luck is on my side this time.

“Since you’ve decided on that, it might be a very long journey for you. Would you intend to rent a place here? What are your plans?” Han Qing thought to himself, I had considered purchasing a house here, but Muzi had always been adamant on being independent even when we were back home in China. That’s why she bought her own apartment. It’s best that I do not decide on her behalf.

“Yes, there’s no need to purchase an apartment since I would rent one. I browsed online last night and will view it before confirming today.”

“Sure.” Han Qing nodded. “Since you had everything planned out, Su Jiu and I shall book our flight tickets home.”

Su Jiu nodded in agreement, but froze in shock after a moment. “Isn’t that rather soon? President Han, shouldn’t we stay a couple more days to accompany Miss Muzi?”

Accompany? Judging from Han Muzi’s current situation, Han Qing felt that it was completely unnecessary for Su Jiu and him to be around. She has a goal now and knows very well what to do next. In fact, she will take good care of herself. What is there to worry about? What I need to worry about now are the issues in China.

Before Han Qing said anything else, Han Muzi broke the silence. “Definitely, you two should book your return flights home as soon as possible.”

“Alright. In that case, we shall book our flights now. Miss Muzi, are you sure that you are fine alone here? Why don’t we hire someone to help you here? Maybe Yan would be able to fly over to stay with you?”

Han Muzi shook her head. “No, I can manage alone.” I’m not a child anymore. Why can’t I manage by myself? Besides, my English is fine and it wouldn’t be a problem to live alone abroad.

“I’m counting on you both to look after the company and Little Bean.”

In the afternoon, Su Jiu and Han Qing made their way to the airport with Han Muzi walking them out of the hotel. After she watched them enter the cab, she flagged down another cab and made her way to the apartment that she scheduled online for a viewing. She had scheduled the appointment late last night and the apartment was located nearby the Yuchi Group Building.

The apartment was fully furnished, but she needed to prepare her toiletries and daily necessities. Hence, after she cleaned up, she went straight to the supermarket and purchased her daily necessities. Once she had completed her grocery shopping, she went home to tidy the place.

Han Muzi was so exhausted that she could barely stand up by the time she was done cleaning the apartment and sat at the table to rest for a while. At that point, she was already two months pregnant. Her baby bump might not look obvious, but without her clothes on, it was impossible to miss the bump.

After Han Muzi rested for a while, she thought of something else. She immediately researched about the Yuchi Family’s company in this city. Usually, such large companies would be actively hiring throughout the year and it should be easy for me to join the company. True enough, after browsing their official website, Han Muzi found a page to submit her resume.

It had been a very long time since she last filled out a resume and it felt unfamiliar to her. However, she had some experience, which was why she could familiarize herself with the hiring process soon enough and closed the webpage after she submitted her resume. It’s fine if he doesn’t recognize me now. I will have the chance to approach him once I join the company. However…

Han Muzi was reminded of a problem. What should I do if Ye Moxuan thinks that I’m joining the company to harass him when he sees me there? After all, I acted like a deranged woman and clung to his arm while begging him to return home with me. Come to think of it, if a stranger were to treat me like that, I’d definitely have a terrible impression of him.

Suddenly, Han Muzi regretted her actions from that day. I would not have been in such an embarrassing situation if I restrained myself in a better manner and clarified the situation before prancing on him. How would I explain myself if he thinks that I’m pestering him?

Han Muzi facepalmed while she sighed in distress. Forget it. No matter what the circumstances are, I will deal with it.

Han Qing and Su Jiu had soon arrived in China. Hence, Yan immediately phoned Han Muzi when she learned that she temporarily stayed abroad. “Muzi, Secretary Su updated me about your situation. Are you sure you want to stay there alone? Why don’t I accompany you? You are pregnant and living alone can be difficult.”

Han Muzi felt warmth spread across her chest at Yan’s proposal, but nevertheless, she shook her head. “No, it’s okay. I am an adult after all. I can take care of myself. Besides, I’m not heavily pregnant yet, so it’s not a burden to me.”

“I’m still extremely worried about you since I’ve always kept you company all these years. How can I possibly feel okay that you are living all alone now? No way, I will—”

“Yan.” Han Muzi sighed after calling her name. “Have you ever considered the fact that you are single handedly supporting the company right now? Who will look after the company if you were to fly over?”

Yan protested, “But I—”

“I will phone you if I really can’t handle things alone, alright?” Yan was still reluctant, so Han Muzi reassured her before Yan finally agreed to her request grudgingly.

“Fine, I won’t fly over since you have made up your mind. However, you have to take good care of yourself. I’ve no clue about the weather there, but you need to wear more clothes when it gets cold. After all, it has been extremely cold in China, what with Chinese New Year around the corner.”

Han Muzi thought, Chinese New Year? I had initially thought our family of three would finally celebrate Chinese New Year together this year. Who would have guessed that not only are we not together for the celebration, but we are even scattered so far apart.
