Ch. 391..395: Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies Chapter 391-395
Chapter 391
She walked back to the department nervously, all the way trying to remember what she had done under the surveillance camera since she was hired by the Marwood Group.
Everything seemed fine until Tommy kissed her. She did not want to, and Tommy did not seem to be actually interested in her either, but she knew what it would look like from others‘ perspective.
She proceeded to work distractedly, glancing at her phone from time to time, wondering if she would be so unlucky for Anthony to witness what had happened earlier.
Anthony was far too busy to remain in front of his computer all the time, so he might have someone else stationed, he had only wanted her to feel what it was like to be a homewrecker, but he never mentioned anything about not allowing her to kiss another man.
However, considering what happened with Lucas before…
Anne felt increasingly agitated and anxious.
“Ms. Vallois, come in for a moment.” Xander sat on his chair, playing with his pen with one hand and holding onto a document with another. “Where did your mind wander off to when you were working?”
‘… Is it that bad?” She asked guiltily.
“Extremely bad. It looks as though you haven’t even graduated elementary school.”
“…” Anne remained silent awkwardly, embarrassed by her mistake.
“What are you thinking about?” He asked, “Something bothering you?”
She could not possibly share what happened with her supervisor and was about to say that she would re–do her work when the door to the office flew open.
Both Anne and Xander jumped from their seats and remained frozen when they saw the man who walked inside.
Anthony’s vicious eyes locked onto Anne and he went over to grab her by the hair, before dragging her outside.
“Ah!” She shouted as she was dragged.
They went out of the office and walked past the department area, all of Anne’s colleagues gaped at the sight of Anne being dragged outside by Anthony violently.
No one could react in any way even after they had disappeared from their sights, countless thoughts rushing through their heads.
‘What’s going on? Isn’t that the founder of Archduke Group? Why is he doing that to Anne?‘
‘Isn’t Anne Tommy’s girlfriend?‘
“How are those two even related?‘
‘I don’t understand what has just happened.‘
“Ah!” Shoved into the washroom, Anne bumped into the sink and turned around. “Anthony
Marwood, what do you think you are doing? Have you gone mad?”
Anthony approached in the most terrifying aura that was humanly possible. “You went straight for Tommy as soon as you got out of bed with me. Aren’t you a busy bee?”
He turned on the tap and blocked the drain, so water began to accumulate in the sink.
Anne watched him in confusion and soon came to realize what he was accusing her of. “No, that’s not it. It’s a misunderstanding. It really is,” she argued, “I’m innocent…ugh!”
He grabbed her by the back of her neck and leaned closer to stare at her with a devilish expression. “Stop playing the innocent card and wash yourself clean!”
He then proceeded to shove her head down and sank her face into the water.
“Ugh…umph! Umph!” She struggled but could not escape Anthony’s overpowering hold on her. She shoved at him and grabbed onto his clothes, pulling at it until two of the buttons on Anthony’s shirt popped off, revealing his chest underneath.
Just when she thought she was about to drown, he lifted her head.
“Ah…ugh! Ha…” She gasped for air as water scrolled down her blood–shot eyes and pale face.
Anthony narrowed his eyes ruthlessly and sealed her lips.
“Umph!” She whimpered, unable to fight back any longer and simply allowed him to devour every corner inside her mouth. Soon, she was running out of air again and she twitched in pain. Once he felt like he had made his claim on her, he let her go and whispered in a hoarse voice, ” I guess you are clean now.”
She panted, tears filling her eyes. “You…are sick…you psychopath…”
He blushed his finger through her cold cheek and said, “Let another man touch you again and I can be even crazier! Do you want to try? Hm?”
She was shivering in rage as she glared at him in misery. “You…are you even human? Why do you have to torture me so? What can I do to get away from you?”
He glanced at the soaking wet fabric in front of her chest and lifted her chin. “I don’t have the answer to that for you. Maybe you were just born to be mine.”
The crazed obsession in his eyes sent chills down her spine and she stumbled backward. Anthony covered her with his jacket and lifted her up, before turning to leave the washroom.
Chapter 392
Anne buried face into Anthony’s chest, fearing that someone would see her.
Both Damian and Xander tensed outside the door as soon as it opened, the two remained quiet until Anthony ignored them and left with Anne in his arms.
“What’s going on?” Damian asked, “He’s so dramatic!”
“I don’t really know,” Xander said. He was shocked as well, as he had never seen Anthony so angry.
Anne was sent back to her apartment.
The Rolls Loyce stopped outside the building and just when Anne was about to take the jacket off, Anthony said, “keep it on, or do you enjoy showing your skin?”
Anne gritted her teeth and forced herself to remain quiet, all the while thinking to herself, ‘ And who exactly was the one who made me this way?‘
She adjusted the jacket and got out. She walked past Anthony gingerly, not wanting to be hurt again.
Anthony stared at her like an eagle at its prey, before grabbing her wrist abruptly and pulling her against him.
“Ah!” She exclaimed.
“Let me check if you are clean…” He devoured her lips once again.
By the time she returned to her apartment, her lips were bruised.
She went into the living room and tossed Anthony’s jacket onto the floor, before stomping at it and kicking it aside.
That was the only way she could vent her anger.
She could only imagine how shocked everyone in the office was when she was abducted by Anthony in front of them, even Anne herself was stunned as she had never imagined that Anthony would appear in Marwood Group out of the blue.
She had not expected for what Tommy did to her to be so provoking that Anthony would be prompted to act so recklessly.
The children were about to return from school, so she went to shower and changed into clean clothes, before getting ready to head toward the sixth floor.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw Tommy standing before her door. The sight of Tommy reminded her of what Anthony did to her. Furious, Anne turned heels and returned to her apartment without sparing Tommy a glance.
She could not lead Tommy to the sixth floor even when he already knew that the triplets were there.
Tommy was not at all affected by having the door slammed shut in front of his face, and casually took his spare key to open the door.
Hearing the sound of the door opening, Anne glared at the door and the person who stepped
through it.
“What else do you want? Haven’t you done enough already?” She shouted.
“I didn’t know that Anthony would react that way and go all the way to the Marwood Group to grab you. This is worse than what I imagined.”
Anne could not stand listening to him. All she knew was that he had put her in a dangerous position and she was still terrified.
Tommy approached and leaned toward her face. “Are you hurt?”
She glared at him coldly. “You know exactly how horrible Anthony is, and you still did what you did anyway. This is what you wanted, right? Why are you showing up here like you are worried about me? Don’t be a hypocrite.”
His expression darkened. “It’s your fault for leaving with Anthony.”
“How’s that any of your business?” She retorted.
Tommy wanted to argue, but could not utter a word and his heart sank.
“You need to leave now and stop getting me into trouble.” She turned to head back to the living room.
“So you are just going to abandon me after using me?” He sneered sarcastically. Anne lowered her gaze and left helpless at how she was robbed of all options. She heard Tommy leaving and when she turned around, he was already gone.
Relieved that she did not have to worry anymore, she calmed herself and headed to the sixth floor.
She opened the door and froze when she saw Tommy playing with her children.
The nanny shot her a troubled look and Anne immediately realized that Tommy had entered the apartment without permission.
“Mama!” The triplets beamed and hurried over to her.
“What are you doing?” She held back her anger and asked.
“The weird uncle from last time came to play with us!” Chloe said.
“Why am I weird?” Tommy protested.
“You are weird!” Charlie insisted.
“Mama, are you here to chase him out? We shouldn’t play with people we don’t really know!”
Chris said.
Anne walked over and grabbed Tommy by the arm. “Come outside!” She grinned gently at the triplets as she walked past them. “Mama will come back right away!”
She shoved Tommy out of the apartment and questioned angrily, “What exactly are you trying to do? If Anthony finds out about this place, it’s all over!”
“Don’t get so worked up,” he said carelessly.
“Of course you can say that when it’s not happening to you…” Anne said and was interrupted when her phone started ringing. She glanced at her phone and paled when she saw Anthony’s
name on the display.
Chapter 393
Tommy already knew who was calling judging from the look on her face. With no intention to walk away, he asked, “Are you going to answer that?”
Anne could not understand why Anthony had called her, considering the fact that he had just sent her home earlier that afternoon.
‘What else does he want?‘
Her heart threatened to jump out of her chest as she wondered if he was already on the fifth floor and was calling because he could not find her.
“Why are you so frightened? He’s going to get suspicious any time now if you don’t pick up,” he reminded.
She shot him a cold glare and turned to walk into her room, but Tommy grabbed her by her sleeve.
“Answer it right here.”
Frustrated, she shoved his hand off. “Enough, Tommy.”
The next instant, Tommy snatched the phone from her hand and answered it on speaker phone.
Anne held her breath.
“Where are you?” Anthony asked impatiently.
“…At my apartment.” She tried her best to sound normal.
“Why did it take so long for you to answer the phone?”
She felt as though the air had frozen over at the sound of his cold voice. “I’m in a bad mood,” she said, knowing that Anthony knew exactly why she would be in a bad mood.
As expected, Anthony remained quiet. Not knowing what he was thinking about, Anne’s heart dropped as she wondered if she had offended him again, or if Anthony had somehow sensed Tommy’s presence through the phone.
She tensed in fear that Anthony would notice something or that Tommy would start speaking. “I will come by to pick up my clothes and will stay for dinner,” he said, before hanging up.
Anne snatched the phone back from Tommy and sighed a breath of relief after confirming that the call had indeed ended. She looked up and found Tommy still standing there. “Why are you still here? Want me to invite you to dinner or something?”
“Yeah, that’s what I have in mind.”
She tensed once again. “Stop it already, Tommy Marwood!”
He narrowed his eyes coldly. “I shouldn’t have let Anthony live. This sucks.”
She scowled. “He doesn’t die that easily. It’s already weird that he let Lilian go. Don’t pick a fight with him now. Stay in your line and wait for your chance.”
“Are you worried about me?”
“Yes. I wouldn’t want anything to happen to you,” she said calmly.
The cold expression on Tommy’s face slowly melted away as he shot her a look. “Alright, I won’t overstay my welcome. Make sure that dinner doesn’t last too long, though, or I might get upset and decide to give you a call.”
Anne listened to his threat with confusion. Though Anthony was troublesome, Tommy was no better and the two had been extremely bothersome.
Tommy had been acting odd recently as he had never seemed to care about what happened between Anne and Sebastian. 1
Though she guessed that what happened in the casino might have created some twisted thoughts within him, Anne did not want to think too deeply into it.
Dealing with Anthony was her top priority at the moment. She checked her phone for the time and realized that it was already five, so she probably would not be able to dine with her children.
The door opened and a few heads popped up from the gap.
“Mama, did that strange uncle leave?” Chloe asked.
“Did he bully you, Mama?” Charlie asked.
“We came to help!” Chris said.
She patted their heads with a smile. “Help? It’s not that bad. He is just a friend of mine.‘
After all, Tommy was indeed their uncle by blood.
“I need to go and do something, so I can’t stay and eat with you. I will try my best to get everything done and come back to tug you in, okay?” “Okay…” The triplets looked down in disappointment.
Chapter 394
Anne did not want to leave, but she had no choice or freedom in front of Anthony.
After saying goodbye to the children, she returned to the fifth floor.
Though she had checked Anthony’s location ahead of time, she still slowed down and started tip–toeing when she reached the corner of the stairwell.
She inserted the key into the door and walked into the living room in relief, but soon noticed the jacket on the ground that she had stomped on multiple times.
She paled and hurried over to pick it up, shaking the dust off of it, but it did not help with the wrinkles or the footprints on it.
The clothes that Anthony was seen wearing had always been wrinkle–free and now, it was simply hard to look at.
Anne checked the time and knew that she needed to restore the jacket to what it looked like, or Anthony would realize what she had done to it with one simple look.
What she did to the jacket was a direct insult toward Anthony and Anne did not want cause herself any more trouble.
She went and found the iron Cheyenne left behind and started ironing the jacket. Since Anthony’s main purpose was to pick up his jacket, she could start cooking after she had fixed the jacket.
Frustrated, she could not help but press the iron onto it with all her strength.
She had refused to take his jacket and he forced her to wear it, and now he wanted to drop by and take it back.
‘That’s just so unnecessary,‘ she thought. ‘He even tried to get a meal out of it. What am I supposed to cook for someone like him? Whatever. He seemed alright with what I whipped up last time.”
Once she was done, she lifted the jacket to check. Her eyes slowly widened in disbelief as she placed it under direct light and sniffed it. Anthony’s scent on the jacket was laced with a burnt scent and the yellow stain was not a ‘stain‘, but a burnt mark.
‘What should I do? Is he going to get all angry again?‘ She thought, ‘Probably not, right? It’s just a piece of clothing. I…I can pay him back. I suppose that I should be able to afford it.‘
Distracted by her thoughts, Anne came close to burning the food when she cooked.
When she heard noises outside the door, she realized that Anthony had arrived and went to open the door.
Anthony stood outside the door. He shot her a glance and went in to find his jacket on the couch.
“I will go to the kitchen first. Dinner is almost ready.” She hurried back to the kitchen, her heart threatening to leap out of her chest when she saw the way he looked at the jacket.
When dinner was ready, she heard Anthony’s voice from the living room, saying, “Come out here.”
She jolted warily, and headed out of the kitchen hesitantly, tensing when she saw the jacket in Anthony’s hands.
“Explain this,” he said.
The yellowish burnt mark was hard to miss on the black suit jacket.
“You…you said you were going to take it so I figured I should iron it first, and then…” Her eyes darted away. “How much is it? I will pay you back…”
“Are you sure?” He tossed the jacket back to the couch.
“Y–Yeah,” Anne said, thinking that she had made herself clear.
“It costs 135 thousand. Go ahead and pay.”
“?!” She gaped at him. “You…are you trying to scam me? How can this be so expensive?” “You should be glad that this is one of the cheaper ones that I own.” He stared at her expressionlessly.
She bit on her lower lip and thought to herself, ‘135 thousand? I might be able to pay him back if it was 135 bucks.‘
Chapter 395
She had not expected a piece of clothing to cost 135 thousand.
She subconsciously glanced at his trousers, shoes and the watch around his wrist, and realized that everything he owned cost a fortune.
She could not possibly pay him back, but neither did she know how to take back her words. It was still an insanely high amount for her to pay off even if she was to pay her debt in installments.
Anne would much rather use that money on her children.
The triplets needed formula and diapers, and she could not raise her children when she was in such a debt.
“I…I have no money.”
“Then pay me back in another way,” he said.
She shot him a confused look. “What way?”
“What do you think?”
Anne pursed her lips at the intention hidden within his eyes.
“Make your choice.” Anthony appeared to be giving her a choice, when there was nothing to choose from to begin with.
She could never pay him 135 thousand, but neither did she want to give Anthony the permission to abuse her, when she did not want to be intimate with him.
A shadow loomed over her as she sank into her thoughts and he forced her to look up by lifting her chin.
Their eyes met and he whispered, “Have you made up your mind?”
“I am not strong enough to fight back even if I don’t consent to this, so what exactly are you after?” She asked.
“I’m asking that you actually participate.”
She bit on her lip, thinking that he was trying to attack her mentally so that she would crumble and fall.
“Hm?” Anthony rubbed at the soft skin on her chin.
“Is there a…third option?” She swallowed hard and asked.
He simply stared at her coldly without a word.
She knew that it was a helpless attempt, because Anthony would never give up a chance to
torture her.
“Alright…” Unable to pay 135 thousand, she could only obey as there was never another option.
“Let’s eat, or the food will get cold…” She shoved him away and turned to head into the kitchen, but she immediately felt a pull on her waist and she was pinned against the wall the next instant. “Ah! Umph!”
He devoured her lips and took away her breath.
Anne flushed as she tolerated the rough kiss. He let go after what felt like an eternity and she gasped for air.
He rubbed her burning cheek with a dark look in his eyes, and whispered in a husky voice, ” Let’s try tonight.”
She looked up helpless. “Not tonight. Tomorrow!”
“Why?” He narrowed his eyes.
“I haven’t recovered…” She was referring to the night before. Anne was terrified of him and how he never seemed to get tired.
