Ch. 471..475: Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies Chapter 471-475

Chapter 471

However... Tommy subconsciously denied this outcome.

How could Anne be dead?

She was only missing.

Without cuffs on her hand, Anne tried to get up.

The injuries on her back were much better, and it was no longer a problem for her to get up and walk around, as long as it was not a big

movement.

Anthony did not appear the whole day.

She wanted to leave, but she could not do so without Anthony’s permission.

Every time Kathryn left, she would lock the door up too.

Anne was pretty sure that Anthony had asked her to do so.

She stood before Julie's portrait and asked, "Can you please ask your son to release me? Appear in his dreams if you can... How long

should this go on for?"

Anthony pushed his work away and asked Oliver to come in and clean up. He then left.

Oliver saw the messy office and knew that it was done by the kids.

However, Mr. Marwood only asked him to clean up but did not say anything about not allowing the kids in there again.

Oliver was observant enough to pick this up but did not say anything about it.

Anthony left the office on his private ride.

Naturally, Tommy followed, only to find that Anthony was headed to Bianca's residence.

Anne was staying alone in the condo, and her meals were all delivered by Kathryn.

Anthony had not shown up for two days.

She did not ask Kathryn about him either.

Kathryn was only his personal physician. How would she know his whereabouts?

In the morning, Anne called Anthony, and soon, the call was connected.

"My wounds are almost recovered. Now can I go out already? My dad would be so worried. Please, will you only be happy after driving me crazy?" Anne’s tone was sorrowful.

Anthony did not say anything. She could not even hear his breathing.

However, Anne was certain that he was listening. "Or... Should I jump off the balcony?"

"Are you threatening me?" Anthony’s voice was tense.

"How would I dare to? Do you not know? A person under prolonged detention would lose their mind? I have already reflected on the issue. I will not be with any other man. I only have you, okay? I will gladly be your mistress, I... Ahh!" Anne asked him.

Anthony jumped. "Anne?”

It was dead silence on the other end.

The call could not be connected anymore.

Anthony, who was in a meeting with the senior management team, suddenly stood up, shocking every attendee around him.

"Adjourned. Let’s speak when I am back." He left the office, headed into the lift, and went straight to the basement. He left in his Rolls Loyce.

Why did Anne shriek?

Could she really have jumped?

He did not cuff Anne because he thought she was pretty obedient.

Anthony was tense the whole way as though his breathing was obstructed.

She could not do anything silly without his permission!

The door was banged open.

Anne, who was sitting on the couch, jumped upon his arrival. She looked at Anthony, who barraged in. His face was still tense. She hastily

pointed at the balcony. "My phone dropped."

"Anne Vallois, you did this on purpose!" Anthony smelled like he could kill.

"I did not...l was standing there talking to you, then the phone slipped," Anne said with a shaky voice.

Anthony really felt like choking her to death now!

Anne stood up panicky and backed down. She could feel Anthony's thirst for some blood now. "Well... Shall we... have lunch together since

you are here?"

"So you lost your mind and wanted to jump from the balcony, huh?" Anthony's eyes were cold and dark.

"If I say I wanted to trick you here for lunch, will you buy it?" Anne tried to lighten the conversation up. "Don't all mistresses take extreme

measures like this?"

Chapter 472

Anthony squinted his dark eyes that screamed danger.

Anne was so scared that she took a step back. Her feet were already stepping out of the living room into the balcony. "Then what exactly do

you want me to do? Nothing pleases you. You are being difficult!"

What did he want her to do?

Anthony only wanted her to be malleable like a puppet and nothing else!

They could hear the door opening behind them. Kathryn, who was here to deliver lunch, was shocked to see the scene, especially when the

atmosphere was tense.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Marwood, I did not know that you were here," Kathryn said.

"Do we have enough food?" Anthony asked, but his eyes were still locked on Anne.

"Yes, we do. I always fill to the brim," Kathryn said.

"Put it down, and leave now."

"Yes." Kathryn put the things down and left immediately.

Anthony took one cold look at Anne and then went to the bathroom to clean his hands.

Anne was a shrewd person. She opened the lunchboxes while Anthony went away.

Then she served the food and placed the cutlery in their positions.

After Anthony came out of the bathroom, he took one look at Anne, then sat at the dining table.

Anne followed suit and sat down. She said, "If I knew you would be here, I would have asked Kathryn to bring more food."

"You seem happy about it?" Anthony was sarcastic.

Especially when he remembered rushing here, he felt extremely bad.

"No, I did not expect you to be here." Anne would never admit that she deliberately tossed the phone to induce panic.

She just did not want to stay there.

She did not dare to ask how life was outside of these four walls.

Lucas, her father, her mother, her kids... Everyone that she cared about.

"In fact, I have not seen you for a few days and am feeling a little on edge."

"Why?” Anthony’s tone was indifferent. He continued having the meal as if nothing had happened.

"I thought you locked me up here and didn't care anymore!" Anne pouted, feeling wronged.

Anthony reached out to pinch her jaw, his dark eyes locked onto hers." Don't worry, I will never not care for you."

Anne did not hear his underlying message, but what she wanted was not to fight him.

She would fulfill whatever Anthony wanted.

For freedom.

Anne stood up, used one hand to wrap around Anthony's neck, and pressed her lips onto his.

Anthony's body froze. He did not move a muscle but reciprocated Anne's kiss.

Anne wanted to continue but was pushed away by Anthony. "Continue eating."

"Just a few seconds, and you cannot stand it already?" Anne panted, her eyes flirting with his.

Anthony could feel the blood in his veins.

He tried hard to suppress it.

However, he would never admit it in front of Anne.

"Are your wounds recovered? I would not want the vibe to be killed halfway.

Anthony's dark eyes were deep, and no one could read his emotions.

Anne observed his expressions from time to time. The quiet atmosphere was a mismatch with her heartbeat.

Even if she could not get used to it, she had to.

Chapter 473

If she wanted to live comfortably within the beast's claws, she had to play along.

"Will you go to the office later?" she asked.

"Yes."

"Will you come here tonight?" Anne asked. She looked into Anthony's dark eyes, pursed her lips, and said, "I am bored alone."

"So you are bored being cuffed?"

Tommy was following Anthony. He did nothing these two days except keep him on the watch.

After all, Lucas and Nigel were onto other clues.

He still felt that the most probable person was Anthony.

Based on his understanding of Anthony, he knew that he would not let her go that easily.

This was such big news. How would he be able to sit still?

Anthony's car suddenly left the office, and that caught Tommy's attention.

He followed. The car did not go to The Curve, nor did it go anywhere that he was familiar with.

He followed tightly but kept at a pretty far distance. The cars in front of him at the traffic light were moving a little too slowly that he almost lost sight of him.

"What is this rubbish car!" Tommy threw a tantrum. He slammed the accelerator and squeezed his car right through the middle, scratching the cars next to him.

"What is going on?"

"Is he drunk driving?"

"He wanted to run! Stop him!"

Therefore, Tommy's car was stopped by some people at the junction, causing an accident.

He could finally leave after Lilian came to his rescue.

However, the Rolls Loyce was already nowhere to be found by then.

He slapped his steering wheel angrily.

Nigel came home for dinner. Ever since Anne went missing, he had never been home for dinner.

The other time that Anthony came, he even made an excuse to say that he was not free.

Bianca was angry, and she was unhappy about Nigel's behavior.

"Bianca, once we find Anne, we will have dinner with Anthony." Nigel understood how she felt and wanted to make amends.

Bianca suppressed her anger and said, "Dad, don't you know who Anthony is? He is powerful and influential in Luton. He won't just agree to dinner just because you asked to. He is caught up with work every day. I don't even get to see him every day."

"I know. Don't be mad. We will see when he is free again," Nigel said.

"I will say let's do it tomorrow. Will you be in the mood to do so? If we cannot find Anne forever, will we not be able to do this forever?" Bianca was suddenly pushy.

Nigel did not look too pleased either.

Dorothy tried to resolve it. "There, there. Nothing to be mad about. Please understand your father. We can always have the meal any other

time. Anne will be found. She will be."

After dinner, the mother and daughter had tea in the garden.

"He wished to find Anne? Don't dream about it! It has been so long! She probably had already ended up in some fish's stomach!" Dorothy

was delighted. She had been in a good mood lately and had called Sarah from time to time, to remind her that Anne was still not found. Do

you know how pissed Sarah sounded in the calls? She was desperate, but she could not do anything. Hahaha."

Bianca had a good life too. "As long as there is no Anne, even the air smells fresher."

"Don't be mad at your father anymore. You don't have to stress about it over Anne. You will forget about her in no time. Who would

remember a dead person for so long?"

"Luckily, she is dead. Otherwise, I would be panicking."

Dorothy called the servant to bring some wine.

After the wine was served, they each got a glass of it.

"I just had dinner. I am too full for this," Bianca said.

"If we are toasting to Anne's death, would you still be too full for this?" Dorothy asked.

Bianca immediately raised her glass and grinned.

Chapter 474

Their glasses clicked, and a smug smile appeared on both of their faces.

As she was sipping on her wine, Dorothy noticed Nigel hurrying toward the garage. "Nigel, are you going out?"

She ran over as well, and Bianca stood up. Her eyes narrowed coldly, wondering if her father had obtained any lead.

"Anne is back!" Nigel said excitedly.

"What? Have you gone mad because you have been too depressed?" Dorothy studied his face worriedly.

"No. She called me and told me that she's just arrived home. I am going there now." Nigel got into his car and drove off.

Bianca did not hear what they said but noticed that Dorothy remained frozen after he was gone and went over. "Is there a lead on where

Anne is again? It's not the first time. Dead people don't just come back to life."

"Your dad said... Anne called him, telling him that she was home. What on earth is going on?"

"What?" Bianca scowled.

The door was open when Nigel arrived at the house. He went inside to find Anne sitting on the couch, and the weight on his chest was finally lifted off when he saw her before him, alive and well.

"Dad..." Anne stood up and called out sheepishly, feeling terribly sorry when she noticed how Nigel had lost weight. "I'm sorry for worrying you, Dad."

Nigel patted her on the head as he scanned her up and down. "What happened? Where were you? You won't answer your phone. What happened? Does this have anything to do with Anthony?"

"It's probably not him. I was drugged as soon as I got into the car and by the time I woke up, I was in this little hut. It's... that driver who drove off to some remote area to rob me. He even tried to get me to call my family for ransom. I ran when he wasn't looking, but the mountain was too big, and I got lost. It took me a few days to get out."

Bianca and Dorothy heard Anne's voice and the things she said from outside the door. Both were unable to believe that Anne had returned alive.

"It's no wonder we found the car inside the lake with no sight of you or the driver. It's a good thing that you are back." Nigel sighed a breath of relief.

’Inside the lake?’ Anne asked in surprise.

"Yeah. It sank to the bottom of the lake, and we've been following that lead, but we couldn't find you."

Anne quieted down, finally realizing why Anthony had allowed her to make up an excuse. He had gone ahead and misled the others.

Just when she thought Anthony could not be more terrifying, he surprised her once again.

Bianca walked inside. "I have to admit that you are lucky. It's a miracle that you manage to get back despite being abducted."

"You don't look like you were kidnapped, more like you were invited there as a guest or something. Were you out having fun with someone

else instead?" Dorothy said.

Anne stared at the two women expressionlessly. "I've narrowly escaped death. Isn't it too harsh for you two to be all sarcastic?"

Nigel's expression darkened as he looked at Dorothy. "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Seeing how Nigel took Anne's side, Bianca was instantly upset. "Dad, Mom is just worried about Anne. She isn't being sarcastic or anything.

You can’t just stop caring how we feel as soon as your darling daughter comes home. ■

"Bianca, take your mother home," Nigel commanded.

Bianca shot Anne a nasty look before turning to leave with Dorothy.

"A lady in a rural village rescued me. She fed me and gave me the clothes on my back right now. Otherwise, I wouldn't be alive right now,"

Anne said.

'I see. I will go and thank them myself when I have the time. God knows how long it would take for US to hear from you if it weren't for those

kind people."

Chapter 475

Bianca returned home and threw the branded handbag in her hand across the room.

Dorothy went and helped to pick the handbag up. "Don't get upset. It's not worth it."

"Are you not upset? Anne didn't die! She is alive!"

"I saw that.” Dorothy, too, was trembling in a fury. "Do you really believe that she was abducted?"

Bianca scowled. "Why do you insist on believing she was sneaking around with a guy?"

"Why else would she look unharmed? There's no harm in thinking of all possibilities."

"Are you saying that she was with Anthony?" Bianca asked darkly.

"Not really. I just don't think that this whole thing is this simple."

Bianca fell onto the couch angrily in disappointment. Anne remained a concern to her, and she had no clue when she would be free of Anne.

The police paid Anne a visit to ask a few questions before leaving.

Nigel was the one who called the police.

There had to be an outcome after Anne was abducted and after all the effort spent looking for her.

Anne described the facial features of the driver, but the driver was more or less a stranger to her, and picturing his face was different from describing it with words, so it was difficult for the police to find the driver based on her description alone.

"There's no hurry. We will find him," Nigel consoled her.

"It's not very likely. It seemed like he had no pattern in his actions. I didn’t see anything other than his face."

"This is exactly why we need to make sure that your new apartment is ready as soon as possible. This area just isn't safe." Nigel planned to urge the workers to hurry the process along.

'I can't move in right away even if they are done, right? The apartment would smell at first."

"I've found the safest, most natural way of renovating your apartment, of course. You can move in right away."

Anne's heart sank.

She did not want to move in so quickly as Anthony was her neighbor.

"Why don't I arrange for you to stay in a hotel for these few days? I'm just really worried." Nigel scowled. "We haven't caught the kidnapper,

and if he shows up again..."

"Dad, I'll be fine. That guy isn't bold enough to rob the same person again. Besides, the police have stationed a few people around this area,

right? If he dares to show up, he won't be able to escape," Anne said.

Nigel was still concerned, but Anne did not wish for him to arrange a different place for her to stay, mostly because she already knew what

had truly happened.

"Dad, don't worry. This happened mainly because I got into a stranger's car. " Anne had already mentioned to Nigel that she thought Lucas

had sent his driver to pick her up.

'Have you contacted Lucas?"

"I did, but I told him not to come here."

"Why not? He hasn't been to the academy in the past few days and spent days and nights searching for you. I can tell how worried he has

been."

Anne lowered her head. "I guess... It's not meant to be between him and me. This happened as soon as we were about to meet for a meal."

"Why are you being so superstitious? It's just an accident."
