Chapter 106: My Neighbor

Rose fell silent hearing Evan’s explanation. But she was also confused by this man. Why would he want to delay again? Isn’t he the one who rushed her to register their marriage? Why?

"Evan! Can you stop doing PDA? I’m afraid someone may see us...." Rose was still confused hearing his refusal to register their marriage, and now this man had started to touch her. She tried to scold him, but she was spelled when her eyes met his ocean blue eyes. Gosh!

"No one will recognize us, Rose. You don’t have to worry...." Evan leaned his head closer, wanting to kiss her forehead. But when he saw, she glared at him as if telling him to stop. He stops while smiling.

Rose recognized that loud and pleasant voice. In a hurry, she looked back and was surprised to see a man in a red training outfit standing behind them.

"What are you doing here, Marvin!?" Evan looked back with a displeased look at the ginger-haired man grinning widely at him.

Marvin ignores his boss’s sharp gaze as he walks closer and stands before this loving couple. Earlier, he had seen the two of them running. Marvin, an avid holiday morning runner, chooses to ignore them. But then he changed his mind and decided to talk to them when he finished his exercise.

"Evan, of course, I came here to find my other half..." Marvin, venting his sarcasm inside his head. "Well, I’ve been feeling lonely lately. I want to find someone who can warm my cold bed." The corners of his lips lifted slightly into a mischievous smile.

Then Marvin looks at Rose, "Hello, Ms. Wilson. It feels good to meet you again after so long. Uhm... by the way, you still remember me, right? I’m Marvin Sanders, CEO of Dream Inc. Well, I’m just saying, maybe you’ve already forgotten me...." He rubs his nape as he laughs.

"Hellow, Marvin. I sure still remember you...." Rose smiled, but she later felt someone grab her hand and pull her up.

"Let’s go home!" Evan stood up and looked at Rose.

"W-Why!? I’m not finished with my sandwich yet...." Rose looked at her sandwich as well as her iced coffee with her sad-looking eyes.

"I will cook for you at home..." Evan whispers to Rose, then he looks at Marvin. "See you, Marvin! I will call you later."

Marvin was speechless. He felt strange. Evan’s attitude was always too much when he was around Miss Wilson. Was Evan worried that the girl would find out his identity as the owner of Dream Inc?

After a moment of thinking, Marvin was suddenly shocked by what he was thinking.

"My God! Is Evan jealous of me? No! That’s ridiculous, right!?" Marvin chuckled. While looking away from their backs, he headed to his apartment.

While in the Starlight Apartment.

Evan immediately said goodbye to Rose after he dropped her off in front of her house. He told her he would change his clothes first before returning to cook for her.

"Rose, I won’t be long. You take your time to wash first...." Evan said as he closed Rose’s apartment door.

Rose agreed with Evan, but suddenly she remembered something. She never knows where Evan lives. If Evan’s house is far away from her apartment, she would like to offer him to bathe in her place. Later, he can ask someone to bring his clothes to her home, so Evan doesn’t have to drive back and forth anymore, right?

Evan was taken aback. He closed his apartment door and walked over to Rose, still frozen in place.

Evan smiles before he answers, "Yeah! I purposely stayed here so that I could accompany you. I don’t think I can let you live alone in this town, Rose. That’s why I arranged for us to stay on the same floor. So, if you need anything, I can come anytime...."

"You stay upstairs?"

"Yes. But right now, the unit above is being renovated. We will stay there after we get married." Evan rubbed her hair. He saw the girl shy again, her cheeks turning crimson. "Alright, now go inside and take a shower. I will come back soon, and we can continue to talk again..." Rose could only nod as she walked inside her house. At the same time, her heart was touched because Evan always surprised her.

Chapter 107: Shopping Like The Queen

Evan returned to Rose’s apartment.

"Are you sure you don’t want to eat anymore?" Evan sat beside his girl, watching television in the living room.

"Why does this man buy so much female stuff? Is she shopping for her girlfriend? Wait... WHAT!? Does he have a girlfriend now?" Amanda Spencer cried as she stood up from her chair and called her assistant.

"Prepared order from Mr. Evan Collins, now!"

"Boss, I will process now. And I will personally go to Mr. Collins’s place...."

Amanda is still shocked, looking at how beautiful Rose Wilson is. Her almond-shaped eyes are perfect on her tiny oval face. Her dark wavy blonde hair just perfectly hangs beautifully down to her back. The longer she looked at Rosel the more she felt that she had ever seen someone with a similar face to Rose. She tries to remember, but she can’t remember who. After another few seconds of trying, she just gives up. This makes her deathly curious.

Rose, still in shock, realizes Amanda Spencer is Evan’s family member. She feels awkward, another family member who knows of her existence. This made her happy and, at the same time, worried his aunt wouldn’t like her.

"Let’s get inside..." Evan said. He gently held Rose’s hand, and they walked together inside.

Rose could only smile at Amanda Spenser and asked her to follow them. She feels shy because Evan shows their intimacy in front of his family. Gosh!

"Evan, can you introduce your girlfriend to me?" Amanda Spencer protested at Evan for not telling her anything about this pretty Rose Wilson. She knows her name but does not know what she is doing, whether she is in college or already working. Which family does she come from?
