Ch. 206..210: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 206-210
Chapter 206: Shocking News (2)
Was this woman Uncle Jamie’s lover? Instantly Rose felt guilty for disturbing Uncle Jamie and his lover’s sleep. Just before she wanted to end the call, she heard the woman speak.
"Mam, I’m sorry. I picked up this phone because it was ringing nonstop. Yes, that’s right, this is Mr. Jamie Stone’s cell phone. But, Mam, Mr. Jamie Stone, left his phone here. So I’m really sorry I can’t help you..." The Nurse said in a regretful tone. Earlier, the cell phone was ringing nonstop. So she had no other choice but to pick up the incoming call.
Rose frowns, feeling confused. How could Uncle Jamie leave his cell phone randomly after he sent her a strange message; He tells her about her mother’s accident.
Gosh! Is Uncle Jamie drunk in a pub, and he randomly left his phone after sending her a text message? Rose’s brain is filled with many random questions now.
"Excuse me, may I know who and where you are now?" Rose wanted to know if what she thought was true.
"Sure. I’m Lindy, one of the nurses at Promise Hospital, East City..."
Rose stopped her step right before the bed. She felt her knees feel weak after hearing Uncle Jamie leave his cellphone in the Promise Hospital. It means her mother had really been in an accident, and Uncle Jamie was taking her mother to the hospital.
Instantly Rose’s heart is racing. Now, she wants to know details about her mother’s whereabouts and condition.
"N-Nurse... is there a patient named Molly Wilson there?" After a few seconds, she didn’t hear an answer from the Nurse. Rose continued her sentence. "I’m Ms. Molly Wilson’s daughter. My name is Rose Wilson. I got a text message from my Uncle Jamie Stone that my mother, Molly Wilson, was in an accident. She may be admitted to your hospital. Can I know her condition? Where is my mother now? Can you take this phone to my mother or Jamie stone? Please..." Rose’s voice trembled as she held back her tears.
The Nurse on the other end was confused.
She knows about Molly Wilson, but as a nurse, she can’t randomly tell the patient’s condition to just anyone. Even though this woman claimed to be her daughter, she still couldn’t say anything unless this girl appeared in front of her bearing her identity.
Still, she felt sorry to hear her trembling voice. She sounded like she was scared and was crying over there. As a mother, she can relate to her feelings.
"Ms. Rose Wilson, I’m sorry I can’t tell you over the phone about this. But, right now, your mother isn’t here, and neither is Mr. Jamie Stone...." This is the only information she can give to this woman, or she will be in trouble.
"What!? What do you mean?" Instantly Rose panicked when she heard the Nurse’s words.
Is her mother dead? Why is she not in the hospital anymore!? "Nurse... Nurse, please tell me more details...." Before Rose could continue her sentence, her cell phone had disappeared from her hand.
Feeling angry, she looks back, only to bump into Evan’s firm chest. She was surprised when her husband stood before her, and in his hand, he held her cellphone. Instantly her body went limp. In a stammering voice, she said,
"E-van! M-My m-mother, my mother, something happened to her..." Rose couldn’t hold back the tears that were already flowing. She buries herself in his embrace because right now, she feels her legs turn into jelly.
"Just now, the Nurse from Promise Hospital at East City said my mother was not there... but why did uncle Jamie leave his phone there? after he texts me to inform me my mother has an accident? I am confused now. What happens there?" Rose continues her words between her sobbing.
"Wifey, let’s sit first." Evan carried her to the sofa. After settling her to sit comfortably, he sat beside her and held her hand.
"Wifey, look at me and listen to me. Everything’s gonna be alright....You trust me, right?" Evan pauses for a moment to make eye contact with Rose. Then he continues, "It is true mother had an accident, but everyone I know in Astington has helped her. The latest news I received, now your mother is being transferred to the Promise Hospital’s main surgical unit in the capital. They may have arrived there by now...." Evan tells her everything he knows about Molly’s condition from his mother.
Rose’s heart sank hearing her mother was in an accident, and now her condition is still unconscious. Her body immediately shivered at the thought of the worst that could happen to her mother. She can’t imagine that she will experience this calamity once again in this life.
"E-Evan, can we go back to Astington now? I want to see my mother. I want to be by her side...." Her tears were still flowing. She couldn’t stop it, especially now that her chest was getting tighter.
"I’ve asked Lucas to prepare the plane for us. We’ll leave for the airport after you change your clothes...." Evan said as he pulled her into his arms and kissed the top of her hair, trying to make her feel better. But it didn’t help her because his wife was still sobbing in his arms. Hearing her sobbing could break his heart!
Rose let go of her hand as she saw her husband’s face, "Evan, H-hubby, let’s go home now. No need to change clothes...." She stood and tried to pack. But she could hear her husband stop her.
"Wife, no need to pack. Someone will take care of everything and send our stuff to Astington. Just take your coat and bag..."
Rose slightly nodded as she followed her husband out of the room. Right now, her mind couldn’t think straight because her mind was full of her mother.
Countless terrible questions appeared in her mind. And a few questions frightened her, really, really frightened her. Especially with this one question; What if she would not have time to meet and talk to her mother again?
This question makes her body turn frosty as she remembers her previous life. Her mother died when she wasn’t beside her. In this life, she didn’t want that to happen. Whatever they take, her mother should be alive. If God takes her away, she will go to heaven and wreak havoc there!
Chapter 207: Telling The Truth
It was past noon in the capital city of Astington.
Anthony Collins was seated in the vast office room of Marcel Quinn. He sipped his coffee as his sharp eyes stared at Marcel Quinn opposite him with an annoyed look.
Annoyed that this man made him the last person to know that Molly Wilson had an accident. He knew about the accident that happened to Molly Wilson before lunch.
"You are so heartless! You should have told me the first time you found out!!" Anthony Collins said, displeased.
"Second Brother! I’m so busy handling everything here. I don’t have time to tell you... sorry!" Marcel said. When he found Molly’s accident, he was shocked. That time, Doris called him in the middle of the night to ask permission to move Molly Wilson to the central hospital. Of course, he would allow it.
"You have no right to be angry with me, second brother! Now our priority is to make Molly survive..." Marcel Quinn, massaging his forehead hard. He felt a headache because he hadn’t slept since last night, taking care of all administration needs and making sure Molly’s condition was stable. And he had just slept for three hours when his best friend came and woke him up.
Although Anthony Collins was still upset with Marcel, what he said was true. Now, their priority was how Molly could recover and live.
"Tell me her condition...." Asked Anthony Collins calmly. His face, which had looked irritated just a moment ago, gradually turned warmer.
Marcel turns away his face to the glass wall beside him as he sighs deeply. For a few seconds, he ignores Anthony Collins’ sharp gaze. He really felt sorry for Molly. How can that woman always have misfortune?
After a while, he looked back at Anthony, "Molly is so pitiful! Last night at East City, in front of her house, she had a terrible accident; she was stabbed several times and was found too late."
Anthony Collins listened in shock, "H-How is she now?"
Another deep sigh could be heard from Marcel before he continued, "Her chance of life is small. Because she was found too late and there was bleeding inside her body. The doctor who treated her at East City Hospital stabilized her condition. But since then, she has been unconscious..."
"How many percent of her chance?"
"10 percent!"
Anthony Collins frowned. Only ten percent!? It means only a miracle can help her to live. He clenched his fist in anger. What Marcel said is true; Molly’s life is so pitiful. She separated from her future husband due to an accident. Now, when they found her, she had another accident. And this time, the accident could take her life.
"But..."
Marcel’s deep voice could pull Anthony Collins from his own thoughts. Anthony sees Marcel with a look full of hope after hearing the word ’but.’ Molly still had hope, he thought.
"Molly’s chance of life could be bigger if our First Brother performs the surgery. Too bad we can’t contact him till now...."
Anthony’s face instantly brightened. There was still a chance for Molly to wake up. To survive this ordeal. Molly must survive!!
"Let me make a call...." Anthony stood up from the sofa and walked to the corner. He made a call to someone. This is the last chance to contact his first brother, and there is no choice but to call the First Brother father. As military chief, he must know where his son is, right!?
"Hello!? Anthony, it’s been a while...." A deep charismatic voice could be heard from the other end.
"Good afternoon, Uncle... how are you?" Anthony greeted the old man on the other end politely.
"What are you calling me for?" The Old Man asked, surprised. He never received a phone call from Anthony. Usually, his father calls him. Why did he suddenly call?
"This is about my first brother... Can you contact him? My family needs his help, but we haven’t been able to contact him since a few days ago." Anthony can’t tell him the details because he needs to speak to his first brother.
The old man paused, feeling odds. A few hours ago, his son called him and asked permission to leave his station for a while to return to the capital. Because he has a patient, he will take care of. He became suspicious that the patient Anthony was referring to was the same as the one his son was talking about.
"He called me a while ago. He said Evan called him to ask for help. Well, that brat will fly to the capital, but he needs a few hours to arrive because he is now in a faraway place...."
Anthony was surprised that his son Evan had managed to contact his first brother.
"Uncle... Thanks... Thank you for the info." Anthony felt relieved they finally could save Molly.
"Since when did you have in-laws? Why didn’t you guys invite my family?"
Instantly Anthony’s body froze. How did he know to answer such a question!? He was not invited to his son’s wedding. Such a terrible moment for him.
But now, he can’t say that to uncle, right!? Anthony smiles slightly, and he has an idea. He needs someone to blame. "Uncle, you better ask my father. He’s in charge of Evan’s wedding...." After blaming his father, Anthony immediately ended the call. He sat back in front of Marcel with a big smile framing his face.
"Who is the person you call?" Marcel asked curiously.
"First brother’s father, he said, brother is on the way here...." Anthony claps his hands before he continues, "Brother, Molly must be fine, right? First Brother will help her alive...."
"Yes! Of course, only his hand can help her... he is our god doctor after all. But, how could his father know about this?"
"My son has a way to contact the first brother. Maybe he will arrive in a few hours. Ah, you should ask my wife. I’m really sure she already knows about this. If Evan found out about Molly’s condition, it means he had already spoken to my wife, right!?"
"Tsk tsk! Do you still call her that? She will be mad at you if she hears that...."
Anthony’s smirk didn’t respond to Marcel’s words. "About Molly, what do you think? Should we tell them?" Ever since discovering Molly’s identity, he’s been dying to tell his family the truth, especially his son, Evan. However, he held it because his son left for his honeymoon the moment he got the DNA test.
Marcel thought for a moment before he answered. "Looks like we can’t wait until Molly wakes up. Once the kids arrive, let’s tell them. When will they arrive?"
Anthony nodded in agreement. It’s time for his daughter-in-law to know who her biological father is.
"Probably they’ll land at 6 PM, in 4 hours...." Anthony said.
"I hope, First Brother will come sooner so the operation will be finished when the children land."
"I hope so! Alright, brother... I should go back to my office now. You should call me if my brother arrives."
"Sure!" Marcel said as he watched his friend leave his office. But before Anthony closed the door, he stopped him. "Brother! I hope you didn’t say anything about Molly to our First Brother...." Marcel said with a dire look.
Anthony frowns, looking at Marcel. Confused why he wanted to hide this news from him?
Chapter 208: Devastated
Rose woke up feeling uncomfortable; her eyes felt heavy and puffy as if her eyelashes were tangled. She can feel her throat hurt when she swallows. With difficulty, she got up and sat on the edge of the bed, massaging her sore forehead.
She didn’t see Evan in the room. She thought Evan was in the bathroom right now but didn’t hear any sound from there.
The moment her eyes looked at her watch, she felt her heart tighten again. They still have 4 hours to land in Fort City, the Capital City of Astington country. For Rose, 4 hours felt like forever. She can’t wait to know about her mother’s condition.
Since boarding this jet, all Rose did was cry, sleep, cry, sleep, and so on. She can’t do anything else; she is not even interested in eating or talking. Not a bit of food could enter Rose’s body if Evan didn’t force her. It was as if her body was just an empty shell, her mind only focused on her mother.
She doesn’t know how her mother is now!? Has the Godly doctor Evan said to her reached the capital? She wanted to know everything.
But for now, she can’t do anything. They are still in the air. However, in her heart, she never stopped praying for her mother to stay alive until the doctor arrived. Until she and Evan arrive at the hospital. Losing her mother for the second time would be a massive blow to her. She can’t let that happen. If God decides to take her mother’s life this time, she will be devastated.
Countless terrible images that happened to her mother did not stop appearing in her mind. The images tormented her, making her head hurt, and her vision spin. She closed her eyes as she buried her head between her knees. Her eyes glazed over. She couldn’t hold back her tears anymore, and her breath felt short.
"M-Mom... please wait for me, huh! Don’t leave me alone again in this scary world. I need you to stay alive by my side...."
Rose didn’t realize how long she had buried her head between her knees, but when she heard Evan’s words, she seemed to be pulled out of the dark puddle of her thoughts.
"Wife, tell me about your condition, please...." Evan’s voice sounded so close to her ears, and she could feel his big warm hand gently caressing her back. She slowly lifted her head to meet his bright blue eyes looking at her. "Why are you crying again?" He knelt in front of her and wiped the traces of tears running down her cheeks.
Evan’s heart aches just looking at how miserable his wife is now. Her bright hazel eyes hadn’t been seen since they left Tuscany. Her eyes felt empty. He can see and feel how devastated his wife is right now.
Didn’t hear Rose say anything, Evan asked again. "Are you hungry? Do you want to eat or drink warm food? I can ask someone to make it for you?"
Rose quickly shook her head, "I’m fine... I just need water. My throat hurts...." She said in a low, hoarse voice. Evan immediately stood up and took the water bottle from the coffee table. After he opened the bottle, he sat on the bed beside her and helped her to drink.
"Drink more... your body fluids must have decreased a lot. You’ve been crying all the time and drank a little since we got on the plane...." Evan said worriedly.
"No!" Rose pushed the water bottle and climbed to bed. She lay under the blanket with her back facing Evan.
Evan took a deep sigh as he gently patted her back as if to let his wife know he was still by her side. They stayed there without speaking until Evan slept behind her and hugged her tightly.
"Wife, I know you are very worried, sad, and scared... but you shouldn’t torture yourself by not eating or drinking anything. What if mom wakes up and sees your face now?" This is what bothers Evan now. He didn’t want his wife to get sick. "Mother will be sad if she knows how miserable you are now, wife..."
Rose was stunned to hear Evan’s words. She slowly opens her eyes, and again a tear falls from her eyelids. Her eyes feel warm and sore. As if to describe the feeling in her heart right now.
"Hubby!" Rose suddenly sat facing him as she wiped her teary eyes. "I’m hungry! I want to eat something smooth and warm. Please ask someone to make it for me, now."
"Alright... Alright... Wait here. I will ask someone to prepare for you." Evan immediately called the cabin crew. After he put down the receiver, he saw his wife enter the bathroom. He slightly chuckled, looking at how energetic she was now, so different from her awful condition a few minutes ago.
"Do you need my help?" Evan walks to the bathroom.
"No need. I can do it myself." Rose closed the bathroom door. But a second later, the door opened again. "Hubby, do I have clean clothes?" She felt her clothes damp from her tears. She wanted to change it to a more comfortable one.
"Yes. Wait!" Evan immediately took a navy sweatshirt and a white culotte from the closet. "Wear this..." He also gave her a new set of underwear. Luckily before leaving, he had already asked someone to pack a bunch of clothes for them to change before landing. Because he was sure they wouldn’t have time to return to the apartment. They will go straight to the hospital.
According to the info he got when they were still in an area with a wifi signal, now his mother-in-law is already at the central hospital. His First Uncle has also arrived in the capital. He is now heading to the hospital.
"Mother! Please wait for us. You must be healthy and meet us...." Evan prayed in his heart as he sat on the sofa waiting for his wife.
Chapter 209: First Brother Arrival
At Promise Hospital.
Marcel Quinn and Doris Stearns were standing in the hospital lobby, looking toward the main entrance. They looked tense, waiting for someone to arrive. Ten minutes passed, but the person they were waiting for had not yet arrived.
Doris couldn’t help but look at her Rolex occasionally. Her mind wondered why time was so slow? Why hasn’t the first brother arrived yet?
Time was not being kind to them. The longer they delay the major surgery to save Molly, the less chance of success. This worries her so much.
After seeing her Rolex, she looked at Marcel Quinn standing beside her. Same with her, this man also looked restless. "Marcel, are you sure his plane is already landing?"
"Yes! Gavin has just texted me. Now, they are heading here..." Marcel replied without looking at Doris, his eyes still looking at the street ahead. His voice sounded calm. However, what was going on in his mind right now was chaotic. Like, there’s a storm raging in his mind.
"Sister-in-law, how about the kids? When did they arrive?" Marcel finally glanced at Doris.
"They will land at 6 PM...."
Before, Doris and her team predicted that by the time Rose and Evan arrived at the hospital, Molly’s surgery would be finished. But now it’s 4 PM, and the Godly doctor they are waiting for hasn’t arrived yet. It was already an hour past the time she planned to start surgery. She can’t do anything to help Molly at this moment because only her first brother can do this major surgery.
"Thank God! They finally arrived...." Doris shouted in happiness when she saw a black Maybach stop in front of the main door, and she could see Gavin, his son’s assistant, drive the car.
"Yes! Let’s go...." With quick steps, Marcel Quinn walked towards the car. His face didn’t show an exaggerated expression, but his hands were cold right now. He was so nervous, but at the same time, he was happy. Finally, Molly has a chance to live.
"First Brother, you finally arrive...." Marcel held out his hand for a handshake and was warmly welcomed by the First Brother with a friendly hug. Marcel felt touched because he rarely met with this man. His first brother was too busy in another city.
"You look paler, Marcel..." First Brother laughed before continuing, "You should go outside to exercise, or you will have immortal skin...." He then looks at a woman with pixie hair beside Marcel. "Hello, sister-in-law, you look beautiful as always...." He offers a warm handshake to Doris.
Hearing his flattery words make Doris speechless.
"Brother, you haven’t changed yet! You keep praising me every time we meet, huh!? And, can you guys stop calling me that way? I’m not with your second brother anymore!" Doris scolds the two men in front of her. But, her scolding was met with a carefree smile by them.
Doris deeply sighs before she continues her words, "Alright, guys! We don’t have much time...." She walked into the building, followed by Nicholas. "Brother Nicholas, this is the latest condition of the patients. Please check it and tell me if you need anything else...."
Marcel still stood in his place, watching Nicholas enter the hospital. His heart was confused about whether to tell him now about who is the patient or not!? His heart wanted to tell his best friend the good news. Still, his mind stopped him because he was worried that this news would make Nicholas unable to focus on performing the surgery on Molly. He better didn’t know who the patient was!
"Mr. Director... shall we?" Gavin is now standing beside Marcel Quinn, confused, looking at why he was standing there motionless. Like he was thinking of something.
Marcel was surprised to hear Gavin’s voice beside him. He nods, "Let’s go, Gavin!"
"Why are you so slow, Marcel?" Doris glares at him as he enters the elevator. Then she looks at Gavin. "You didn’t pick up your boss, Gavin?"
"I will standby here, mam. Sam, will pick them up... he is already heading to the airport." Gavin’s words were greeted with a slow nod by Doris. Her eyes looking at brother Nick, read the data she gave him.
Although Molly’s chances of survival are getting more significant. This is because the godly doctor in Astington is now going to perform surgery on her. But in her mind, Doris is still worried about Molly’s condition. She couldn’t imagine how sad her daughter-in-law would be if something happened to her mother.
"Brother, I beg you to save my in-law. If something happens to her, my daughter-in-law will be so sad..." Her voice trembled.
Nicholas slowly lifts his head, looking at Doris with his curious-looking eyes.
"That little girl is so miserable. This incident will definitely be a heavy blow for her...." Doris continued her words.
Marcell Quinn’s face turns darker hearing Doris’s words. His eyes were sharp, looking at the back of the first brother. What Doris said was true. Rose Wilson had a really miserable life. She was born without ever knowing who her father was. And by the time she was about to meet her father, her mother was in critical condition.
How could God be so cruel playing with Molly and Rose’s life?
No! Not only Molly but Nicholas too!? This poor man never met another woman after his encounter with Molly at North City. How pitiful is his life?
But, everything will return to the right path. This miserable family will soon get together and live happily if only Molly can get past this calamity.
"Brother, do everything you have to help this patient, and God will answer all of your prayers...." Marcel can’t help but say those words he’s been wanting to speak to the man in front of him.
Nicholas turned to look at Marcel and Doris. With a confident smile, he said, "Don’t worry, Marcel, sister-in-law. After looking at her updated condition, I guess her chance of life can increase from what I said before. So, you guys, no need to worry...." He smiled and walked outside the elevator when they reached the VVIP special operations floor.
"You should be, brother! Because that woman is your first crush and your daughter’s mother...." Marcel Quinn answers Nicholas in his heart as he follows all of them out of the elevator heading to the operating room.
Chapter 210: Godly Doctor
The sky looked so gloomy when their plane was about to land at the airport. And when their plane tires touched the runway, it started to rain. The sky seemed to represent Rose’s current mood, cloudy and gloomy.
The heavy rain accompanied them on their way to Promise Hospital. Along the way, Rose’s eyes looked out the window at other cars passing by as her mind was hazy. Not a word escaped from her lips. If Evan asked her, she just nodded or shook her head. She was too nervous waiting for the good news from the hospital.
What she heard from the conversation Evan had with Gavin is; Her mother is currently in the surgery room. It’s been 2 hours, but there’s still no sign of the operation being finished. This fact made her fearful. In her heart, she kept praying that the doctor who operated on her mother would be given the ease in carrying out his duties.
"God! Please help my mother...."
Then, she remembered those painful memories when her mother had cancer surgery a few months ago. Her hands on her lap clenched into fists, trying to hold her emotions.
"God, I will repay you with anything as long as you let my mother come back healthy!" She vow.
Twenty hours during the trip from Florence to Astington, her tears seemed to have been drained. However, now her eyes start to blurry again when a wave of sadness suddenly appears surrounding her heart. It’s maybe because she sees a 20-building complex with the sign ’PROMISE HOSPITAL’ not far in front of their car. The closer their vehicle was to the hospital, the faster her heart beat.
"Wife, let’s go..." Evan’s soft voice snapped her out of her deep thoughts. Rose immediately got out of the car when Evan opened the door for her.
When Rose reached the VVIP patient surgery room floor, her steps felt heavy looking at the silver door at the end of the corridor with a red light above it. And when she read her mother’s name on the flat-screen TV by the door, her heart tightened.
"E-Evan... my mom...." She murmurs only to receive a gentle pat on her back from her husband. She nods when her husband tries to coax her to calm down. She was aware of staying calm, but how could she do that when her heart was about to explode?
"Son! Daughter-In-Law! You guys finally come...." Anthony Collins and Doris Stearns, sitting in the lounge at the front of the surgery room, looked at them.
Rose nodded slowly, looking at her mother-in-law. Then she received her mother-in-law’s warm embrace. Rose tried to keep her tears from spilling, but as Doris’s hand slowly stroked her back, her eyes started to feel blurry. She can feel her warm tears flow down her cheeks and her body start trembling. She sobbed.
"Don’t cry... Your mom will be fine. A genius doctor now performs surgery on her...." Molly pats her back gently. "This doctor is known as a Godly doctor because he never fails to cure his patient. So, you should believe... your mother will definitely recover in his hand."
Hearing Doris’ words was like seeing an oasis in the desert. There was a cold feeling that immediately enveloped Rose’s heart. And her mind began to give her the courage to smile. She spells her mind; Mom will be okay, Mom must be safe, Mom will definitely see her again. These spell words can make her feel a little bit better. Especially when she saw Uncle Jamie and brother Noah in the corner. She smiles at them, even though her smile seems forced.
"Thank you, Mom, for helping my mother. I’m so grateful to you...." Rose knows from Evan that her mother-in-law took care of everything until her mother was transferred to this central hospital. She also helps to find a great doctor who could save her mother.
"Don’t say that. Molly is my friend. Definitely, I will do anything to help her..." Doris releases her hug and holds Rose’s hand. She saw Rose in the eyes only to see her reddened eyes. She also felt sad looking at how sorrowful her daughter-in-law is right now.
Later, Rose excused herself. She wanted to talk to Uncle Jamie. "Uncle Jamie, Brother Noah... thank you for helping me." Rose’s voice trembled as she stood before both of them.
Jamis Stone patted the hair on Rose’s head lightly, "Your mother will be fine! And, can you stop crying? Your mother will be sad if she sees you cry like now." Rose tries to smile after hearing Uncle Jamie scold her.
"Sister... don’t be sad. Aunt will be alright!" Noah Stone pulls Rose in his arms as he taps her back gently. He didn’t hug her for long because he could feel someone staring at him so sharp.
"Hmm... I will!"
"Rose! You better rest first. You’ve just made such a long journey. And you looked so tired...." Jamie felt worried, seeing how pale Rose’s face was now. And her eyes were so puffy. This girl must have been crying nonstop before arriving at this hospital.
"Yes, wife... you better wait in the VIP wardroom." Evan suddenly stood beside Rose and put his hand on her shoulder. He also greeted Jamie Stone. But when his eyes landed on the man beside Jamie’s stone, his face turned displeased. He was angry that this man hugged his wife casually.
"Evan, this is my son. His name is Noah Stone...." Jamie Stone then looked at his son, "Noah, this is your sister Rose’s husband. His name is Evan Collins."
Something weird appeared in Noah’s deep heart when he saw Rose’s husband. It felt odd that this little girl had a husband. "Hello, Mr. Evan Collins..." Noah held out his hand to Evan for a friendly handshake.
"Call me Evan, and I will call you by your name too...." Evan said as he accepted Noah’s hand. He once heard from his mother-in-law that Rose was very close to Jamie Stone’s son, who was considered a brother to her. But he never imagined that Jamie Stone’s son was Noah Stone, the top singer in this country.
