Ch. 266..270: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 266-270

Chapter 266: Need To Talk

This was the most awkward moment Rose had ever experienced in her entire life. Being between her father and mother, who were staring lovingly.

Gosh! She shouldn’t be in this room, right!?

Slowly Rose turned her body. With her slow and small steps, she walked towards the door. But only a few steps later, she hears her mother stop her.

"Rose Wilson, stay where you are!" Molly’s firm voice made Rose stop in her tracks. Slowly she turned to look at her mother.

Molly looked at Rose with a sharp gaze like a wolf stalking its prey. So intimidating, it made her heart tremble. She could only stand where she was and did not know what to say.

But then she heard her father say, "Molly, we need to talk!"

Nicholas’ soft but firm voice made Molly turn her gaze to the man. He is now standing so close to her. Not only was he standing so close, but this man was now holding her hand.

Instantly her body froze. Her heart and mind were surprised by the sudden touch. A feeling she had never felt again after so many years now assaulted her. There was a tickle in her heart, which made her heart beat faster than usual.

This guy is Nick! The only man who can make her heart waver, shaken like now.

"Yes, Mom, you should talk to my father, I mean your beloved Nick..." Rose grinned when she saw how blushed her mother was. "See you, mother! See you, father!" She said it while running faster. She couldn’t stay long in the room. It feels too awkward.

As Rose came out of the room, she met her husband standing by the door.

"Wife? What happened? Why did you run? Did something happen inside?" Evan panicked. He immediately walked over to look into the room.

"No! Don’t enter the room, hubby!" Rose blocked her husband and closed the door behind her.

"Little Rose, what happened? Is your mother okay? Let grandpa see her for a while to greet her." Edward Spencer suddenly appeared and stood beside Evan.

Rose is surprised to see her grandfather in the room too.

If her grandfather greeted her mother now, she believed, her mother would faint. Not because of her injury. But because she discovered that Edward Spencer was her future father-in-law.

Rose was sure her dear mother knew the old man, an influential figure in this country.

"Grandfather, we have to wait here first. Let my mom and dad talk..." Rose immediately grabbed her grandfather and husband’s hands. She led them to sit in the seating area.

Evan and Edward Spencer were confused about Rose’s doings, but they followed her, pulling them.

After they all sat on the sofa, Rose repeatedly looked at her husband, and then grandfather. They looked so confused looking at her.

"Little Girl, why did you forbid me to see your mother? Is she still not visitable?" Edward Spencer was confused.

"Grandpa! I’m sorry, I didn’t want to stop you. But let my father talk to my mother first because my mother did not know that my father had found us. And also, my mother never knew my father’s identity all this time. I was afraid that if Grandpa came in, my mother would be shocked and she might faint seeing you. Everyone in this country knows who grandpa is!"

"Ah!" Edward Spencer nodded in agreement with what his granddaughter had said. He had better not surprise his daughter-in-law, especially since she had just woken up from her coma. "Grandfather understands. I’ll wait here until they’re done talking. Now, tell me everything. Is your mother really awake?"

When Rose tells of Molly’s condition to Edward Spencer and Evan.

At the same time, Molly held back the waves she felt in her heart and mind. She couldn’t take her eyes off, only seeing the hazel eyes of the man who was now sitting on the side of the bed.

Soon, his hand gripped her cold hand tightly. It made her even more surprised. She was still shocked by what was happening at this moment.

"You can breathe normally, Molly!" Nicholas was worried that Molly still couldn’t control herself. She still looked dazed in a state of shock.

"Please say something, Molly. I will answer anything you ask. Don’t be silent like this. It confuses me...." Nicholas asked patiently, but he was soon surprised when he saw Molly shaking her head.

"You don’t like to meet me? Do you hate me until you don’t want me in this room alone with you?" Nicholas’ voice was low and helpless.

Molly was surprised to hear his disappointed tone.

She never said she didn’t like him! How could she not like this man when he had managed to keep her single to this age?

"No, Nick! I didn’t. I just can’t believe we’re finally seeing each other again after so many years...." Molly lowered her gaze at their intertwined hands. She was timid about their skin-to-skin contact, but she liked it.

She felt like she had returned to the first time they had met. She still felt the same way; the warmth of his touch and his deep voice could make her heart tremble as this man bewitched her.

Nicholas smiled at Molly, blushing. With his other hand, he slowly touched and lifted Molly’s chin. When their eyes met, Nick could see her eyes sparkling. Like the first time, he saw those eyes. He felt his heart waver.

"Molly, I want to apologize to you. Because when we first met, I didn’t introduce myself properly. Now, I will introduce myself again...."

Molly nodded. Her meeting with this man in the past left many fond memories for her. But unfortunately, they forgot a crucial thing, they did not mention their real names.

"My name is Nicholas Spencer. But my family and best friends used to call me Nick. From the first time I saw you, I knew you were special, so I just told you that nickname. If only I had said my real name then, you would probably have said yours too. I would have found you if I had known your last name..." There was a hint of regret implied in Nicholas’s words.

Chapter 267: I Know Everything

"Hi there Nicholas Spencer, it’s nice to meet you. Mm-mmm... do you know my name?"

"I know. Our daughter told me your name and everything you and she went through..." Nicholas felt his heart tighten at what his daughter had said.

"Rose said everything?" Molly asked worriedly. To what extent did Rose tell her father about their past? Did Rose also say that she lied about her father being dead?

Oh, God... Don’t let Nick find out. Because if Nick found out, she didn’t know how to deal with Nick anymore. How could she tell her daughter that her father was dead and buried so far from where they lived!?

"Yes. Rose told me everything..." Nicholas smiled, seeing Molly looking surprised. Her face was so alluring that made him want to pull her into his arms. But he held back. Not now. Not now Nicholas Spencer!

"Well, I also know why you didn’t come that day...." Nicholas continued.

Molly was relieved. It turns out that Rose told her father about the accident she had on her way to the meeting location to meet him.

A faint smile appeared on the corners of Molly’s lips before she said, "Nick, I’m really sorry. If there wasn’t an accident, none of this would have happened to us...." Molly felt terrible about that moment. Because she lost her memory, they were separated for many years. Making her daughter live without a father.

"Hey, Molly! Look at my eyes." Nicholas Spencer held her chin to make her look into his eyes. Her bright eyes stared at him with so much worry emerging from them. "You don’t have to feel guilty, Molly. The important thing is that we’ve met now... I found you and Rose."

"I know. But, when my memory comes back, your face always appears in my mind. It makes me remember our encounters in the past. Those memories are hurting me. And annoyed me because I don’t know where you are. Do you still remember me, or have you already forgotten? I want to meet you and tell you that I gave birth to your daughter, but I can’t meet you. I can only cry every night before going to sleep while holding back this painful longing." Molly wanted to say that, but her tongue went numb.

She just silently listened to what Nick said.

"Did you know, when we met then, I was just about to enter the training camp to continue my military school?" He paused for a few moments before continuing, "Molly, do you remember when you said you wanted to be a medic? To be a nurse or doctor?"

Molly was taken aback. "Yes, I think I remember..."

She was nervous because she just carelessly said she wanted to be a doctor or nurse at that time. Meanwhile, becoming a doctor was only her deepest dream. In her case, there was no way she would become a doctor. Her parents did not have the money to pay for her tuition at the famously expensive medical school. She wasn’t smart enough to get a scholarship, so she could only major in business.

"W-Why are you asking?"

"Ever since I lost you... I decided to become a doctor in hopes of meeting you in this field. But unfortunately, we can’t meet. I heard everything from our daughter. You spend almost your time just taking care of her. Molly, I feel so guilty... sorry!"

Molly was surprised. This man was willing to change his career because of her. And why did he feel guilty about it?

She looked into his eyes only to know how sincere he was now. Did his words come from his heart? After a few seconds, she could see it. This man is indeed guilty, and he looks so sad.

"Molly, thank you for raising our daughter until she grows into a beautiful and intelligent woman. If only I could turn back time, I wish I could go back to those days, accompany you to raise her." Nicholas paused to adjust his sadness as he remembered what his daughter had told him; how miserable Molly’s life was. "Thanks, Molly. Thanks for everything."

"You don’t have to say that, Nick. I’ve never regretted or found it difficult to raise Rose alone. Trust me, I’m happy to have her even though I don’t remember you at the time. I just feel blessed that Rose was born from my womb. And when I remember that you are her biological father, that makes me even happier. I’ve never regretted anything. Never!" Molly paused. She was embarrassed to talk about all this again.

"Oh, Lord! Why do I feel like I’m still a teenager? My fragile heart trembles easily, and my cheeks turn red like now!?" Molly couldn’t help but scold herself in her mind as she tried to hide her blushing cheeks.

"Thank you is not enough to describe how grateful I am that you raised our daughter. And because of her, I have finally found you..."

Instantly Molly was curious. How did Nick find her?

"Nick! Tell me how you are finding me?"

Nicholas tells Molly about Anthony Collins seeing her at Rose and Evan’s wedding. Nicholas also said that he performed the operation without knowing that the patient was her.

Molly didn’t know how to respond to Nick at this point. She was shocked and listened in silence as her eyes grew blurry. She was happy that this man had saved her life when there was no longer a doctor who could handle her case.

"Hey! Why are you crying? Don’t be sad, huh?" Nicholas wipes Molly’s tears with his thumb. "No need to feel sad again because we finally reunited...."

Molly gasped when she felt Nick’s hand brush her cheek. She loved it. But, moments later, she pulled her head out of his hands when she realized Nick must have a new family now, right?

How could he touch her if he had a wife?

The thought of her first love having a family made Molly’s heart numb.

Chapter 268: Did He Propose?

Even though she wanted to have this man completely, alone, just for her, she would never do so. She didn’t want to ruin someone else’s family.

Nicholas was surprised to see Molly pull her head back.

Why did she do that?

He looked at her face trying to read her expression, but he couldn’t read anything. Because she hid her face; she looked down to see her hands in her lap.

"Molly, give me your hand..." Nicholas held out his hand. But after waiting a while, Molly didn’t move at all. As if something was bothering her, she fell silent and made no meaningful movement.

He was starting to worry about her sudden change. "What’s the matter, Molly? Why are you suddenly afraid of me?" Nicholas asked again, confused.

Molly’s mind was distracted by her own worries. After a few moments of silence, she finally dared to ask.

Slowly raised her head to meet his eyes.

"Nick! Can I ask you something?" Molly asked cautiously as her fists clenched tighter trying to divert her frantic thoughts.

She was worried that Nick already had a wife and children. Worried that her little daughter, Rose, would be discriminated against by Nick’s children if they find out that Rose is an illegitimate child.

It was enough for her daughter to be cast out when she was little. She didn’t want the painful past to repeat itself. She just wanted to live comfortably and peacefully with her daughter, even if she had to sacrifice her feelings for this man she loves. She will definitely choose her daughter.

"Sure! Just say..."

"I’m afraid your wife and children won’t accept Rose’s presence in your family. I don’t want Rose to suffer bad treatment for our mistakes in the past..." Molly softly said as she lowered her head, avoiding his gaze. Somehow she felt immense sorrow thinking about this.

Nicholas almost choked. Instantly he coughed loudly, too surprised to hear Molly’s words.

Meanwhile, Molly, avoiding Nick’s gaze, suddenly panicked when she heard him choke. With great difficulty, she quickly grabbed the glass of water on the bedside table and handed it to him.

"N-Nick drinks this water..."

But as soon as she saw Nick empty the glass she used earlier, her face immediately turned like a boiling crab.

Oh, Lord! We just kissed indirectly!? Through the glass? Molly felt so embarrassed. She feels like a teenager again.

Trying to hide her blushing face, Molly looked out the glass window. The sky was getting darker, but she could clearly see the lonely moon hanging in the dark sky. It calmed her mind but only for a moment, as Nicholas’ words once again left her speechless.

"Molly, this is what worries you? Is this what makes you avoid my touch?"

After taking a short breath and trying to calm her heart, Molly slowly looked at him and met his bright hazel eyes. She didn’t know how to answer him, but she gave him a slight nod. Soon, she saw a bright smile appear on his face. It confused her.

Did she guess right? Does Nick already have a wife?

Her head suddenly felt spinning as she felt a little nauseous. A feeling of disappointment appeared from the bottom of her heart. The frustration is because she didn’t have the chance to be with Nick in this life.

"Molly, Listen to me, please..." Nicholas took Molly’s hand and held it tightly.

Molly didn’t have the guts to look at his face, let alone his eyes; she just looked at their hands, afraid her tears would flow. It would embarrass itself.

"Like you, I’ve never been married, let alone have children. I’ve never been interested in another woman after our unforgettable meeting. And I couldn’t explain why. At one point, I was thinking that you might have put a curse on me." Nicholas chuckled. Then continue saying, "Molly, would you believe me if I said you had stolen my heart when we met in North City? That’s why I lost the ability to like other women besides you."

Molly was shocked that this handsome man was as single as she was.

How could that be true?

He must be kidding, right?

Molly slowly raised her head to meet his calm eyes staring back at her. Instantly her heart was pounding, and a feeling of happiness suddenly welled within her.

"Nick! Please don’t joke about this kind of thing," said Molly. She still couldn’t believe what she heard. Maybe this guy just wanted to please her.

"Do I look like I’m joking with you?" Nicholas asked her. He tightened his grip. He would never let this woman disappear from his life again. Never!

Seeing her just staring at him, Nicholas continued, "Oh my gosh, Molly, you know? I’m only going to marry you, Molly Wilson. You like me too, right? Don’t argue with it," He smiled before continuing, "my daughter already told me how you feel about me. I know you feel the same way as me...."

For a moment, they only stared at each other, lovingly and intimately. The room that had felt cold, like being at the north pole, slowly turned warm with the aura emanating from their bodies. No one said a word, but Nicholas Spencer could feel Molly’s eyes slowly changing. From defensive and cold eyes to more open and warm now.

"So, are you really still single?" Molly’s voice was soft, but there was definitely excitement in her tone.

"No! Of course, I’m not single anymore..." Nicholas’ meaningful smile appeared on his calm face.

Molly was confused by his words. She frowned as she looked at him.

"Because... I have you! I will marry you now, Molly!" Nicholas continues his words as he takes out a small black box from his blazer pocket. "You better accept my proposal because I’m still feeling insecure. Afraid you’ll choose Jamie stone over me!" He casually said as he opened the ring box right before her.

Molly was dumbfounded. The man who constantly tortures her mind now proposes to her. Right before she awakened from her coma?

Can someone slap me in the face, so I can know if this is not my imagination?

But then, she hears his last sentence, Jamie Stone!

She froze.

"D-did you hear?" Molly worries that Nick overheard her conversation with her daughter earlier.

Chapter 269: Blessing (1)

"Hmm... I hear everything." Nicholas calmly said as he pressed his desire to pull this woman into his arm. He really misses her so much. Only God knows how hard he deals with his feelings right now.

"N-Nick! I can explain it to you. Well, earlier, I was just joking with Rose. You know!? I was just trying to tease her..." Before Molly could finish explaining, her face was suddenly on Nick’s chest. She could feel the warmth of Nick’s body seep into hers.

Being in his arms made Molly smell the scent of his body that she missed so much. But suddenly, something bothered her. How about her scent?

She never showered and brushed her teeth for a week. And almost a week, the drugs flow into her body. The smell of her own body made her uncomfortable. Nick must be uncomfortable smelling her scent, too, right?

"God! I smell like medicine. I beg of you, make this man lose his ability to smell..." Molly prayed silently. She also worried that Nick would let go of her hug, but she was wrong because she could feel it. Nick’s hug tightened.

"You don’t need to explain anything, Molly. I just want you to accept my proposal..." Nick slowly let go of his embrace and looked into her eyes lovingly.

"Molly Wilson, will you marry me?"

Once again, Molly lost the ability to string sentences. She could only nod in response to Nick’s question. Not long after, a beautiful ring was placed on her finger. She slightly trembles.

She could feel the emotion rising from the bottom of her heart. With teary eyes, she looked at the man who was now kissing her hand gently. She was very touched and felt very happy to be able to experience this beautiful moment once in her life.

Proposed by the man she loves is only a fantasy in her mind. It never occurred to her that she would experience it for herself one day.

Five minutes had passed since Nick had placed a heart-shaped diamond ring on Molly’s finger.

Molly’s teary eyes couldn’t stop her from seeing how beautiful the ring on her ring finger was. Her heart felt happy that she had never felt before.

Now, she is Nicholas Spencer’s fiancé. It was hard for her brain to accept this reality. However, the dazzling light reflecting off her diamond ring could make her realize that all of this was real. She wasn’t dreaming.

"You like your ring?" Nick smiled, amused at Molly’s behavior. Her eyes sparkled when she saw her engagement ring. Seeing her happy smile made him feel the same way too.

"Yeah! So pretty, Nick. And not too big... fits my finger. I could use it every day..." Molly slowly raised her hand again to look at the ring, but the muscles in her arm suddenly felt so weak.

She needs immediate therapy to move without pain or constriction or to be supported by a cane or wheelchair.

"Our daughter suggested the ring. She said you would love it."

"My little girl has always known what is best for me, even when I don’t know what is...." Molly was satisfied that her daughter helped her father find a ring for her. She was very touched. Suddenly she missed her little daughter so much and wanted to hug her.

"Since you have accepted my proposal. You must sign this..."

Molly was confused to see Nick set the dining table that patients used to eat at. Then, he put the paper and pen on it. She looked at the sheet before her but didn’t understand what it was for. Then she looked at Nick with a questioning look.

"What is this? A form? What is it for?"

"You can read it yourself..."

Tired of asking, Molly finally took the paper and read it. Just seconds after reading the sheet, her eyes widened. Startled. She slowly turned her gaze to Nick.

"Nick! This...?" Her voice sounded shaky as she was still shocked by what she read.

"Yes, Molly. It is our marriage registration form. But you just need to sign it before our status as a husband and wife become legal."

Molly was in a daze, too shocked by this sudden news. She felt amazed to see Nick so quickly arrange all this. After proposing that this man didn’t give her time to breathe, he immediately wanted to register their marriage.

"Nick... isn’t this too rushed?"

"My dear Molly... I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for over twenty years." Nicholas smiled before continuing, "Is there anything you’re worried about? Why do you seem reluctant to sign the form?"

Molly "..."

"Tell me, what makes you seem reluctant?"

"Nick, I don’t mind if we register our marriage now. However, I haven’t met your family yet. Have your parents approved of us yet?" Molly didn’t want to start this drama-filled marriage, especially when she had a child with Nick out of wedlock. What if Nick’s parents turned her down if they found out?

"So you will sign the form immediately if my father gives us his blessing?"

"Of course, yes!"

"Alright! Wait here..."

"Nick!? Where are you going? Don’t call your father to come here now. It’s getting late..." Molly was shocked when she saw Nick go out of the room.

My gosh! Why couldn’t this man be a little more patient?

They still have plenty of time, right!?

After all, she had just woken up from her coma. Her face must be very unattractive. What’s more, her hair must be so messy, right!?

Molly felt like running to the bathroom to take a shower. And change into the best dress she has. However, all of that is impossible. In this cold room, there was only her alone. Nick had left the room without hearing her words. She could only breathe slowly, trying to calm her anxious mind.

What if Nick’s parents don’t like her?

Did his parents know she had a daughter?

Molly tried to pinch her glabella, but her strength seemed to have run out. She couldn’t even raise her hand anymore. Molly felt helpless. She slowly closed her eyes for a moment waiting for Nick to return.

Chapter 270: Blessing (2)

While in the living room area.

Edward Spencer became impatient because his son had been in the wardroom for so long. What took him so long to talk?

Several times he glanced at his gold Rolex while looking at the white door that was tightly closed. His deep sigh described how restless his mind was now.

It wasn’t just Edward Spencer who was impatient. However, Rose also felt the same way. She was worried that her grandfather had waited too long. Especially now that it’s time for dinner. Her grandpa must be hungry now, right?

And now, many questions arise in her mind; What was her father doing there? How long did it take him to explain his identity? How dare her father monopolize her mother?

All of that success made Rose’s head feel hurt.

"Grandpa, it’s dinner time. Do you want to have dinner now? I can get someone to order our dinner...."

"I’m not hungry. But are your mother and father okay there? Why hasn’t your father finished talking to your mother yet?" Edward Spencer checked his watch for the umpteenth time, feeling worried.

"I know, right? Do I need to go in and remind dad?" Rose was also starting to feel worried.

"Wife, there’s no need..." Evan said as he gestured for his wife to look at the door.

The white door finally opened, and Nicholas Spencer appeared with a happy smile.

"Father! How is my mother? Are you guys done talking?" Rose asked as she stood looking at her father.

"Not yet!" Nicholas Spencer smiled at his little daughter before he turned his gaze to his father. "Father, follow me. We need your blessing. Come on..." He took his father’s hand and pulled him into Molly’s room.

"Blessing? What, blessing?" Edward Spencer was confused. But he still followed his son’s hasty steps. Not only was Edward Spencer confused, Rose and Evan looked confused too.

"What does my father want to do?" Rose whispered to Evan, who was walking beside her. They decided to follow them into her mother’s room.

"Congratulations, my wife... soon you will have complete parents." Evan chuckled.

"What do you mean, Hubby?" Rose looked into Evan’s eyes, confused. But a second later, she realized something. She froze as her mouth formed an O shape staring at Evan.

Does Dad want to ask Grandpa’s blessing to marry mom?

Evan moves closer to her. Then he whispers, "My pretty wife, you must shut your mouth now, or I will think you are asking me to explore your tantalizing mouth with my tongue...." A mischievous smile appeared from the corners of his lips.

Rose gasped when she heard that. Instantly she pushed him away and walked briskly, following her father and grandfather, who were now standing at the side of the bed.

Then she looked at her mother chatting with her grandfather and father; She knew what was on her mother’s mind with just a glance.

Then when Rose’s eyes stopped on her mother’s finger, she secretly chuckled in her heart as she realized how quickly her father acted; He had already proposed, and now he was bringing his grandfather to give them his blessing for marriage

Gratitude suddenly appeared in the corner of Rose’s heart. She was so happy. Finally, her family could be complete. She now had the father she had always dreamed of since childhood. And her mother will not spend the rest of her life alone because her father will accompany her.

"Congrats, my dear mommy! You deserve happiness in this life..." Rose congratulated her beloved mother in her heart.

She was lost in her thoughts for a moment until she faintly heard what her father and grandfather had to say. She immediately grabbed Evan’s arm and pulled him to stand behind quietly. She didn’t want to get involved in their conversation.

Molly, because you need my father’s blessing, so I asked him to come here..." Nicholas turned his gaze to his father. "Father, please give us your blessing before we register our marriage...."

Edward Spencer was taken aback by his son’s words. For a moment, he just stood there trying to digest the meaning of his words. Then his eyes caught the paper on the table. After reading a few lines, he couldn’t help but smile. He realizes something; His second son wants to marry his woman today, but his daughter-in-law intends to ask for his blessing first.

Edward Spencer was suddenly touched by his daughter-in-law’s attitude of asking for his blessing before agreeing to marry his son.

Seeing how graceful and beautiful his daughter-in-law was made him happy and peaceful. Now his aloof son was in good hands.

As a father who had waited for this moment for so long, he would give them his blessing.

"Hello, daughter-in-law."

Edward Spencer waved slightly at Molly, who was still stunned to see him. Her face was still somewhat pale, but her natural beauty was clearly visible.

"I’m Edward Spencer, Nick’s father. I want to thank you for saving my son. If you hadn’t appeared, he might have remained single for the rest of his life. Sounds sad, doesn’t it?" Edward Spencer paused for a chuckle and patted his fool son lightly on the shoulder.

Molly was astonished to see Nick’s father so handsome and young. His hair had turned white, but his style was very casual. Far from the old man’s impression, she was used to seeing; His white shirt was overlapped with an army green bomber jacket, and his black trousers were wrapped around his long legs. That makes him look much younger than his age.

At first glance, anyone who saw Edward Spencer would say he was in his late fifties. But they were wrong because Edward Spencer was now in his mid-seventies.

But then... Molly suddenly felt like she had seen this man before. But where? She forgot.

She decided to silently listen to this old man’s words as her mind tried to think; where did she see him!?

"My dear Molly, as Nick’s father... I approve of Nick marrying you. Because if I don’t accept you, he might become a monk ..." Edward Spencer’s laughter echoed throughout the room and shocked everyone.

"Father!" Nicholas warned his father not to speak nonsense.
