Ch. 346..350: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 346-350
Chapter 346: Please Don’t Go!
It wasn’t long before they finished their delicious and mouth-watering breakfast.
The scenery that unfolded before her eyes was marvelous but the cold wind made Rose want to get down immediately. She felt like taking a warm bath to pamper her muscles that had been working hard since early morning.
"Hubby, let’s go back. I have an appointment with Aunt Amanda..." Rose tried to stand, but Evan held her hand. It took her by surprise as she looked at him.
Rose looks confused.
"Wife, can we talk for another minute? I want to tell you something. About the progress of the bomb on Ice Island." Evan said then pulled her to sit so close to him as he tried to give her some warmth.
Instantly Rose’s face turned tense when she heard the word ’bomb.’
Lately, she has been too busy with her business and office matters to forget the dangers of terrorist attacks that still threaten out there, especially on Ice Island, the second bomb.
Rose was convinced that the information she gave to Evan had reached the party that had the power and capability to handle the case. Now Evan would tell her the results of their investigation.
She listened in silence.
"All the pictures of people you gave me were members of the oldest terrorist organization that ever existed, NONE. It spells N, O, N, and E but the meaning is NO ONE, they are invisible. A very unique name for a terrorist organization, isn’t it? Wife, what you told me had been checked and rechecked. And now the authorities are confirmed that your info is valid..." Evan paused for a moment to see her reaction. His wife looked calm as if she already knew the result. This fact worried him again — his wife was a defected NONE member.
If his guess was correct, his wife’s life might be in danger. The organization will indeed find her and take revenge for what she did in stopping their grand plan.
"Wife, have you heard of the terrorist organization I mentioned earlier, the NONE organization, before today?" Evan asked. Seeing his wife shaking her head, he continued,
"This organization is truly evil. Their objective is to create anarchy and chaos whenever possible..." Evan sighed before continuing, "Well, your location list is correct too. Their movement has been seen on Ice Island in the last few days. The island was on the list as their number two target after Nova City. Last night I got word that they will plant the bomb on the island today."
Afraid. That’s how Rose felt when she heard her husband’s update. However, she tried not to show it. She could only listen in silence to his explanation.
"Wife, thank you... because of you, we could find out where the next explosion was. And if what you say is accurate, then D-Day is tomorrow..."
Rose suddenly felt her whole body stiffen. So history really repeats itself. It’s just that in this life, bombings happen faster.
"H-Hubby... will the authorities be able to stop it?" Rose worried if the special forces failed to stop the explosion.
"Of course, they can! They are closely monitoring to catch the terrorist leader as we speak. And they are tailing his accomplices too..." Evan took a deep breath, "Well, I’ll let you know again if there’s any progress. Don’t worry too much about it. The special forces unit will take care of it."
"Thank goodness..." Rose was relieved to hear that. Yet, at the same time, there was a lingering fear in her heart, afraid that what she was doing now would result in something even more terrifying in the future.
"Wife, I plan to fly there today. I want to speak to the special forces, or maybe I can help them more...."
Instantly, Rose’s expression changed. Fear was evident in her eyes. "NO! Evan, please don’t go."
Evan was taken aback by her reaction. Was there something she was still hiding from him? Why does she look scared!?
"Wife, don’t worry, it’s safe there. There will be no one who can harm me...." Evan’s words were not finished. Rose insisted on stopping him once more. This time her eyes seemed to glaze over as if she was holding back tears. This really surprised Evan. "Alright... Alright... I won’t go. But can you tell me why?" Evan can’t help but ask.
Rose was silent for a moment. Her worries are excessive, but this is for his safety. She can not predict the future accurately; Since her rebirth, a lot has changed, especially what has happened to the people around her. She didn’t want anything to happen to her husband, even though in her previous life, Evan was fine.
Slowly Rose looked into Evan’s eyes.
"Hubby, even though I come from the future, I can’t guarantee it will happen in the present!" Rose wanted to tell him that, but she didn’t dare. Looks like she’s not ready to admit to him yet that she’s back from the future.
She could only say, "Thank you. Thank you, hubby, for listening to me just this once...."
"Wife, alright, alright, don’t worry, I’m not leaving." Evan paused, disappointed at her last words, "Why are you saying things like that? As if I always ignore what you ask...." He looked at her with an annoyed look but only for a moment. A second later, a mischievous smile framed his face. Seeing her glare her eyes, Evan pinched her cheeks cheerfully. Success teases her by pretending to be angry.
Rose, "..."
She was relieved when she heard her husband’s promise not to visit the island. She didn’t want the people she loved to visit the island soon. Moreover, her husband said that suspected people had been spotted on the island earlier.
Rose’s concern was if God messed things up, then what she experienced in her past life would be different from the current one.
Now all she can do is pray that the special forces handling this case can control the situation there. So that there will be no more explosions and innocent lives will be saved.
Chapter 347: Escaped
Rose was waiting for her aunt, Amanda Spencer, in the living room that afternoon. Meanwhile, Evan was in the study room with Oscar Jennings.
"Young Madam, Ms. Amanda Spencer has arrived..." said Laura, who appeared in the room.
Hurriedly, Rose walked out to greet her aunt. She hadn’t seen him in a long time because her aunt was too busy with her duties as CEO of several Spencer Group subsidiaries. And because of her busy schedule, she was often unable to attend family dinners.
Amanda Spencer was called a workaholic by her family. Because amid her busy life, she still wants to take care of small things such as wedding organizers for her brothers and niece. Not only that, but she also wants to be a stylist for other family members, including Evan Collins.
Seeing how busy her aunt was, Rose once asked her; why she still wanted to be a designer or stylist when she already leads many companies.
Amanda Spencer said it was because of her passion and dream to become the top fashion designer in this country. Meanwhile, working as CEO of several Spencer Group companies was out of necessity. Her older brother Jayson Spencer was starting to be active in politics. While Nicholas Spencer had no interest in business—she had no choice but to take over several companies.
Rose smiled. Seeing her beautiful aunt get out of the car, she quickly walked toward her.
After receiving Amanda Spencer’s warm embrace, she asks, "Auntie, why are you driving alone? Where’s your driver?" She was surprised to see her driving alone. Usually, a driver and bodyguard would accompany her.
"Blame your husband. He did not allow anyone else to enter this area. So, my driver and bodyguard can only wait at the guard post in front...." Amanda said as she hugged Rose tightly.
Rose was speechless hearing Evan do that.
"Girl, you look thinner? Is your husband not feeding you properly?" Amanda let go of her arms and studied her niece’s pale face. "Gosh... are you sick? Why does your face look pale?"
Rose sandwiched her cheeks with both hands. "My pretty aunty, I’m fine..." she smiled, "I even hiked to the peak, as usual..."
Then she took Amanda into the house. There were only two of them in the living room area. While Laura and the other maids were nowhere to be seen, there were various foods and drinks on the table that would accompany them to chat.
"Girl, I’m serious. You’re so skinny right now. If your father saw you this way, he would definitely be angry..." She paused as something crossed her mind—This Girl’s face was pale, and she had lost weight—Instantly, Amanda’s eyes lit up.
She just stared at Rose for a moment with a faint smile emerging from the corners of her lips. Then, Amanda’s eyes fell on Rose’s belly before she said, "Is my nephew inside?" she asked in a low voice, afraid someone would hear.
Rose, "..."
"A-Auntie, I’m sorry I’m not pregnant. Not yet." Rose couldn’t help but laugh, but Amanda clearly didn’t believe it; she rolled her eyes.
"Well, my body is like this. Even if I eat a lot, I won’t gain any weight. And, did you hear that I participate in a sniper training program? Grandpa planned my training schedule, so maybe because of that...."
"Geez! That old man, he’s still obsessed with recruiting all his family into the military!?" Amanda couldn’t help but laugh, imagining her father.
She had been in Rose’s position when she was a teenager. However, since her shooting ability was only average, she wasn’t forced to train anymore. "Well, my niece... you can still escape his trap. Don’t show your marksmanship, and he’ll leave you. This is what I did; the old man no longer forced me into the military...."
"It’s too late for me to avoid grandpa..." Rose chuckled.
Amanda’s eyes widened, surprised to hear, "Are you as talented as your father?"
Rose could only smile. She does not know. She had never seen her father use a gun. Several times she asked her father to show his skills, but Dad always avoided her. Was it because he didn’t want his grandfather to force him to become a sniper again? That’s why he refuses to appear at the shooting range!?
"Your father is very skilled; the best shooter my dad ever found." Amanda paused as she clapped her hands, "Girl... Congratulations, you won’t be able to escape the old man’s grasp. Unless...."
"Unless? Unless what?"
"Unless you are pregnant and you say you want to raise a child. That old man will definitely give up on you...."
Rose, "..." why does her aunt sound like her mother and mother-in-law? Lately, the two of them were always bugging her about pregnancy. Gosh!
She ignored her aunt’s comments about pregnancy—worried it would be a long conversation.
Instead, Rose said, "It’s fine, Aunty... I’m quite enjoying this process. Besides, I can use this ability as self-defense, right?"
"Yes... yes... you are right."
Amanda then started talking about her reason for coming to see Rose—telling her about the wedding reception. The ceremony will be held in late September, three weeks from now.
Rose was surprised to hear her aunt’s explanation.
Even though they were going to get married in her parent’s backyard, the guest list for her wedding reception was not ordinary people. In addition, her aunt also invited several TOP singers in the country, including Brother Noah Stone.
What surprised her the most was that her aunt even ordered her wedding dress from a well-known brand station in the fashion city of Paris.
"Auntie, does it have to be that big and luxurious?" Rose asked, "Didn’t Evan and I agree that this wedding reception could be held but not so grand!?"
"Girl! Do you say it’s luxurious? We only invited 100 people..." Amanda rolls her eyes before continuing, "And the reception will be held in the garden; backyard!"
If only her niece and Evan didn’t insist on that, she would have their wedding party on a private island or luxury yacht.
"Well, as part of the Spencer and Collins family, you have to get married in the ballroom of a luxury hotel or on a private island..."
Rose, "..."
Seeing Rose silent, Amanda vented her frustration at being limited by Evan to make this wedding reception grand.
"Did you know? Your first uncle still wants to invite more of his business and political friends... However, I can only give him 10 invitations." Amanda chuckled before continuing, "And, of course, I got scolded by him..."
Rose was speechless. She couldn’t win talking to her aunt and would just follow what her aunt arranged. After all, she would experience this wedding reception only once. Deep down in her heart, Rose wanted her parents, especially her father’s family, to witness it. This is because they were not present at the wedding ceremony a few months ago.
"As for your wedding dress, it will be finished and arrive next week...." Amanda’s eyes lit up when she talked about the wedding dress.
"Auntie, I thought you would design the dress for me. But it turns out you’re wearing that famous brand..." Rose smiled, remembering when her aunt was so enthusiastic about making a unique dress for her.
"Girl, don’t worry. The lead designer of the brand and I designed it together..."
It’s great to have a friend, now the head designer of a famous brand in Paris. Amanda just needs to call her and send the sketch she made. Then her friend will finish it.
Too excited to talk about the wedding reception makes Amanda and Rose lose track of time.
Amanda quickly said goodbye, but before she left the room, she suddenly thought of Jamie Stone. The last time she saw Jamie Stone was at Rose’s parents’ wedding. Since then, they have had no chance to see each other again. To this day, she regrets not having the opportunity to exchange phone numbers with the man.
"Did you meet Uncle Jamie when you returned to East City?"
"I didn’t meet him. But, I heard Uncle Jamie’s also moved to the capital. So I guess he’s living with brother Noah now. Why do you ask?"
Amanda was shocked.
Jamie Stone moved to this town?
Realizing the opportunity to meet him again was huge, Amanda smiled happily. "Well... I was just asking."
"Oh ok..."
"Little girl, do you have her cell phone number?" Amanda wrapped her arms around Rose’s arm.
Rose grew suspicious of her aunty. "Do you like him?"
"H-How do you know?" Amanda was surprised.
"I can tell from your dim eyes that suddenly sparkle."
Amanda, "..."
Immediately, Amanda Spencer excused herself after getting Jamie Stone’s number. She still had business to attend to at the office, and of course, she also wanted to get in touch with Jamie Stone. Maybe she could ask him to dinner.
She believed Jamie must be lonely since he had no friends in this town, right?
A beautiful smile framed Amanda Spencer’s blushing face when heading to her car.
Chapter 348: Meet Again
Several days passed. It is now the second week of September.
In the last few days, a lot had happened to Rose and Evan, whether it was office matters or bombing issues.
But of all the things that happened to them, Rose was most relieved; the second bomb in one of the hotels on Ice Island did not explode.
The authorities managed to defuse the bomb. They also success arrest the terrorists. All of these incidents did not appear in the news reports. The government, including the police and military, had strictly kept the secrecy of terrorist attacks to maintain the country’s stability. And also a sign that terrorist acts failed because their purpose in carrying out these actions is to get attention and create chaos.
But unfortunately, the authorities have not been able to find NONE leaders. And all the captured terrorists kept their mouths shut. As if they had lost the ability to speak—ready to die guarding their organization’s secrets.
As someone who knew about the future, Rose couldn’t provide any additional information about the terrorist except when and where the incident would happen. This is because she didn’t know anything beyond it.
Even though the authorities managed to thwart the terrorist attack and apprehend the perpetrators, Rose remains worried.
What will happen to the subsequent explosion?
Will terrorists still continue their plan with their other members?
Will the explosion explode in the same place?
Rose would never know the answer again because the old past has been changed. Instantly her whole body felt cold because she didn’t know what would happen in the new future once the old history had changed.
"Are you all right, Lady Boss?" Sam was driving the car, surprised to see Rose in the rearview mirror looking pale. Her eyes trembled like someone faced fear.
She’s in a daze!? Or did she not hear me? Thought Sam.
"Boss, are you feeling unwell? Do you want us to go back home?" Sam’s voice was starting to sound worried.
Rose, who heard Sam’s question, was surprised. Sick? She feels fine. Out of curiosity, she immediately looked at her face in the mirror, and to her surprise—what Sam said was true—her face was deathly pale.
Oh, God! The thought of terrorists alone had stressed her out, and without her realizing it, her face turned pale. "Maybe because I’m hungry..." Rose replied casually.
"Lady Boss, don’t worry. We’ll be there soon..." said Sam. He refocused on driving and increased the speed to quickly arrive at their destination.
Today Rose and Oliver will have lunch with Noah Stone at the Empire Club. In addition, Rose also invited Keira Spencer, her cousin. To fulfill her promise to Keira—introduced Noah to her.
Soon they arrived at the club and headed straight for the VIP room, which Noah had reserved. Upon entering the room, Rose couldn’t hide her excitement, she smiled widely to see Noah, but when her eyes caught sight of the other people in the room, Rose’s smile slowly faded.
"Little sister, come sit here..." Noah Stone stood up and asked Rose to sit beside him. An awkward smile graced Rose as she walked over to Noah and sat beside him.
Rose couldn’t avoid it. She couldn’t help but smile weakly when her eyes met Willard Harper sitting across from Noah.
"Hi, Rose, nice to meet you again..." Willard Harper smiles lovingly at Rose, and Rose responds with a slight nod.
"Hi, Willard..." She didn’t know what to say. Still surprised to see him in this room. Noah never told her Willard Harper would be joining them.
Seeing Rose looking awkward, Noah tilted his head at her. "Rose, I bumped into Willard, and he shamelessly insisted on joining us after he found out I was going to have lunch with you. Sorry, sis... I hope you don’t mind." Noah Stone whispered.
"It’s okay, brother. I hope you don’t mind because I invited my cousin too." Then with a soft smile, Rose continued," By the way, she’s your avid fan, so please be nice to her..."
Rose reassured Noah everything was fine. Even though she was uncomfortable being in the same room with Willard Harper. Not after she realized Willard liked her.
At first Rose didn’t believe it, but after a few times she received texts from him and today’s meeting him again, she started to believe it—this megastar like her.
Rose didn’t know whether to be flattered that Willard Harper liked her!? She found it strange. After all, she is a married woman. What does this man see in her?
"Really!? Which cousin? Man? Girl?" Noah is excited to know Rose’s relatives like him.
Before Rose could answer, there was a knock on the door. Sam, who was sitting near the door, immediately stood up.
"Keira..." shouted Rose, calling for Keira, who was still standing by the door—blankly staring at Noah Stone.
"Silly little girl, hurry in, don’t make your idol wait for you..." Rose couldn’t help but laugh at how shocked Keira was now. She pulled Keira and sat beside her.
Now, Rose was sitting between Keira and Noah. In front of them sat in a row, Willard, Oliver—who arrived at the same time as Keira—and Sam.
"Sis, thank you for inviting me. Wow, my idol is so handsome." Keira whispered to Rose. It was the first time she had sat this close and dined with Noah Stone. It felt like she was dreaming. Not real.
"You’ve never seen Noah in person?" Rose was confused by Keira’s reaction as if it was their first time meeting.
Considering Noah is a talent from S99 Entertainment, part of the Spencer Group, Keira should be able to meet him, right? She just had to ask Aunt Amanda to be invited to the event Noah was attending!?
"I’ve seen him at concerts but never this close. This was the first time I sat with him at the same table. It feels like a dream, sis!" Keira’s face flushed as she tried to steal glances at Noah, who was now talking to a man in front of him. Keira turned her gaze to the man opposite Noah; suddenly, her eyes widened in shock.
"Oh my God!! Another superstar in this room!" Keira muttered in surprise.
Chapter 349: Start Believing
Keira couldn’t hide her surprise. She turned her gaze to her cousin Rose with amazing eyes.
How could she gather two Gods in one room? Willard Harper, God of Rom-Com Movies, and Noah Stone, God of Pop Music.
Amazing!! Keira slowly raised her hand and gave a thumbs up, "Sis, you are my master now..." Keira whispered to Rose. However, Rose was confused by her words.
"What?"
Keira couldn’t help but smile in response. For the first time, Keira felt jealous of her sister. She prayed in her heart that she could be friends with these two gods.
Trying to restrain herself from asking them for autographs or selcas, Keira drank a lot of water—to keep her sanity intact.
While others were chatting, Keira didn’t know what else to say. She just heard them talking. But it wasn’t long before Keira heard Noah talk to Rose; ask about her. Instantly, she felt her heart seem to have stopped beating.
Before Keira realized her eyes were already on Noah. How shocked she was when her eyes met his. She froze.
"Rose, this girl is your cousin, right!?" asked Noah Stone as he smiled, looking at the girl who now looked at him without blinking.
"Uhm... Brother Noah, sorry I forgot to introduce you to her. This is Keira, Keira Spencer. She is my beloved cousin." Rose then looked at Keira, "Kei, this is Brother Noah Stone. You know him, right? He’s your idol. Also, this is Willard Harper. I’m sure you know who he is..." Rose chuckled when she saw the shocked expression of her cousin. It felt like Rose wanted to tease her but seeing her cheeks turn like boiled crabs, she decided to stop it. Afraid this little girl would be even more embarrassed.
"Hi, hi, hello, nice to meet you all...." Keira stuttered to greet the two Gods; while scolding herself for being too awkward in front of them.
After a brief introduction that made Keira lose her ability to speak, Noah spoke to Rose again.
"Rose, I’ve ordered quite a lot of food, it seems like enough for all of us, but if you want to order more, I’ll call the waiter..."
"No need, Brother. If it’s not enough, we can order more..." said Rose quickly.
Then Rose turned to Keira, silent for a while, seeing her intertwined fingers on her lap.
"Kei, why are you so silent? This is very unlike you. You are a chatty girl who will never stop commenting on anything. Now, your idol is right beside me. Why don’t you have a nice chat with him? Would you like to change seats?" Rose smiled at her cousin, who was now glaring at her.
Rose didn’t know what her piercing gaze meant, whether she agreed to change seats or was scolding her. Gosh, this stupid Keira!
Keira, "..."
Rose continued as she watched her cousin in silence, "Kei, this man is the CEO of the Wilson group, Oliver Hester. If you want to join the Wilson Group, I suggest you approach him, as your proposal is currently on his desk." Rose continues as she sees Oliver.
Oliver was speechless.
How could she say that? He had agreed to Keira Spencer’s proposal for a long time, but this girl hadn’t told Keira yet. What a heartless girl!
"Hi, Ms. Spencer, nice to meet you..." Oliver stood up from his chair and offered a handshake to Keira. As their hands touched, he continued, "Congratulations, Ms. Keira Spencer... I agree with your proposal. My legal team will contact you soon to sign the contract." He said with a polite yet dignified smile.
"Oh my God! So this is the CEO of the Wilson Group, Oliver Hester? So handsome!!" Keira screamed in her heart as soon as she saw Oliver.
She was shocked beyond words. Her eyes caught sight of Oliver’s face, which seemed to glow as if there was a light hanging above his head. His eyes, like magnets, seemed to attract her; she was mesmerized, unable to turn her gaze away.
What is this feeling? What is this strange feeling that strikes her heart and mind!? This feeling was different from the feeling she felt when she saw her idol, Noah Stone.
"Is this the so-called Instant Crush?" Keira muttered in her heart as she felt her cheeks start to warm. And as soon as Oliver offered his hand, she spontaneously accepted it.
"T-Thank you, Oliver...I mean Mr. Hester...." Keira sheepishly replied.
"Wow! Congratulations, Keira..." Noah, who didn’t know anything, could only congratulate Keira. Whatever cooperation the Wilson group offers to Keira will be good, right!?
Like being pulled from a pool of honey, Keira cleared her throat while pulling her hand, which was still in Oliver’s grip.
"Thank you, brother Noah." She said with a smile, but her smile immediately disappeared when she realized she was calling her idol, Brother. Gosh! If all her friends know, they will die in envy.
After sitting back down, Keira took the opportunity to chat with Noah, who was still looking at her, "B-Brother Noah... sorry... Can I call you that? I mean, B-Brother?" Keira blushed when she said those words.
"Of course, you can. You’re Rose’s cousin, so you can call me that too." Noah feels blessed because Keira Spencer, Jayson Spencer’s daughter, likes his music.
Being unable to stand between Noah and Keira, Rose finally stood up from her chair. "Kei! We’d better change seats..." Rose pulled Keira to sit on her chair while moving to Keira’s chair. Now, she sat opposite Sam.
For some reason, Rose felt more comfortable sitting at the end—away from Willard Harper.
Rose started to feel uncomfortable every time Willard looked at her with that strange look. She began to think that how Willard looked and spoke to her was odd and disturbing. The look is different from how her other male friends saw her. This made her even more uncomfortable around Willard.
What Oliver had told her the other day was starting to become real. She could sense that Willard was trying to get close to her as a friend and more than that. However, this is only her guess. Whether she was right or not, she would never know unless Willard really opened his heart to her.
Chapter 350: Keep It a Secret
After finishing their lunch, they all continued to chat casually in the cozy couches area in the VIP room. The seating area is spacious enough for all of them to sit and chat while enjoying dessert.
Noah Stone and all men, chatting together. While Rose sat at the corner with Keira. They were speaking in their low voices, worried that what they were talking about would be heard by others.
"Sister Rose, I don’t think I can thank you enough," Keira whispered to her.
"Don’t mention it, Kei! Well, I promised to meet you with Noah, right? So now my promise has paid off..." Rose smiled faintly. She never understood why anyone could idolize a public figure like Keira.
This little girl spends her time stalking her idol on the internet. She would go to her idol’s concert wherever it was held. She is also willing to pay her own money to buy anything related to her idol—albums, merchandise, concert tickets, and more.
Gosh! Just imagining what Keira did for Noah made Rose feel tired. She would never do anything like this.
"Sister, not because of that," Keira said while slightly glancing at Oliver Hester, chatting with the others. Seeing his profile face from the side was able to make her heart flutter.
"Huh! What do you mean? So... for what?" Rose is confused because what she did today only introduced Noah to her.
"To accept my proposal..." Keira smiled as she felt her cheeks warm at the thought of seeing Oliver every day at the Wilson Group office. She couldn’t wait to get to know him better. For some reason, the tremors she felt in her heart grew more substantial.
"Oh! For that..." Rose laughed slightly. "Well, that’s because your proposal is excellent. And coincidentally, we need a young and talented fashion designer to enter the fashion industry in this country."
"I’m very grateful..." Keira replied, but her shining eyes were still on Oliver.
Rose fell silent when she saw Keira ignore her. She patted Keira lightly on the shoulder before scolding her, "Kei! Stop looking at him like that. My brother Noah will think you love him. Gosh! You can’t fall in love with him; your parents will punish you if they find out you’re like a man who is five years older than you and a celebrity."
Kiera almost choked. Who saw Noah? She was fascinated by Oliver Hester. But Keira didn’t dare to say it. Worried that Rose would guess what was in her heart—she liked Oliver.
"Sis, I know." She swallowed hard, "How could I fall to my bias? I will never!" Keira is Trying to hide her emotions.
For now, Keira will keep her feelings to herself. She wanted to find out if this was really love or not. Because this is something that Keira had never felt before towards the opposite sex. This was the first time she had felt this way since she had lived for 19 years.
Just as Keira was deep in thought, Rose’s cell phone rang. Her smile widened when Evan’s name appeared on the phone screen. Suddenly her longing deepened. She felt like she wanted to get out of here as soon as possible. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to chat with the others, but somehow she felt uncomfortable with Willard’s presence.
Rose stood in the corner of the room to talk freely with Evan.
"Husband! Hi, I missed you...."
"Me too, dear. Have you finished your lunch?" Evan asked cheerfully from the other end.
"Hmm... I finished my lunch. How about you? Have you had lunch too?" Rose paused for a moment when she heard voices around Evan.
He’s not in the office.
"Hubby, where are you now?"
"I’m at the same restaurant as you. What number are you at? Let me pick you up..."
Rose was surprised to hear that. She immediately told him the VIP room number and then ended the call.
However, when Rose was about to return to her seat, she was startled to see Willard Harper beside her. "W-Willard!?" Reflex, she calls his name.
Since when has he been there?
"Sorry, Rose, if I startled you. I thought you were looking at the scenery..." Willard Harper said as he looked at Rose, standing more relaxed and looking at the scenery outside.
"It doesn’t matter." Rose smiled faintly but didn’t look at him.
"Did you call your husband?"
"Yes. I did..."
"Rose, congratulations. Evan Collins is so lucky to have you..." Willard looked at Rose with a weak smile framing his calm face, but he felt something prickle in his heart. The pain was unbearable, but he couldn’t do anything about it. Not now.
Trying to hold back the pain in his heart, Willard couldn’t help but smile at her, but when he saw Rose’s bright face slowly turning dark, he was taken aback.
Did he say something wrong? Why does she look annoyed?
Before Willard could ask, he heard Rose say, "How do you know my husband’s name?" She looked at him with a strange expression.
She was still shocked to learn that Willard Harper, an outsider, knew her husband’s name. As far as she knew, only her family and close friends knew.
Was this man investigating her identity? Why did he do that? What is his purpose in examining her?
She looked into Willard’s eyes, trying to read what was on his mind, but how could she do that? She didn’t have that ability. She could only wait for this man to answer her question.
Willard felt his entire body freeze under her gaze. "Rose, it’s been a while since I found out you were married to Evan Collins!!" He wanted to say that, but of course, he couldn’t. This girl would know that he was investigating her.
"Noah told me everything...." This was the only way he could avoid this girl’s suspicion.
Willard’s answer surprised Rose. She slowly turned her head towards Noah while sending him a piercing glare. She scolded Noah for being open with Willard Harper about her personal life.
