Ch. 311..315: Reclaiming My Broken Luna Chapter 311-315
Chapter 311: Illusions
Astrid's POV
The sun kissed my skin as I stood on the shoreline, watching Ryker and Killian splash in the surf.
Laughter carried on the breeze, mingling with the rhythmic crash of the waves.
For once, I allowed myself to relax, to pretend that everything was exactly as it should be.
We were like a real family bonding together at the beach. Ryker's smile - bright and carefree - was enough to make m believe in the illusion, even just for a moment.
I imagined everything was well with us, Killian and I were still married and that Ryker thinks I'm his mother.
It was a good thought, a great illusion, but it was far from the truth. Still, I couldn't help it. It was nice to indulge myself with the fantasy.
I let myself breathe, inhaling the salty tang of the sea breeze. It was a rare thing, this kind of peace. I've never felt this peaceful since I found out that my son is alive.
For the first time, I felt I was alive again. Being with my son, seeing him safe and happy I finally could feel what happiness is like.
My breath hitched when something pricked at the back of my mind — an unease I couldn't quite shake. Even before we had left the Pack, that feeling had already lingered like a shadow creeping into my thoughts as we travelled to the beach.
The Pack is located at a remote spot in the middle of the forest just like any other Packs. To go to the nearest beach, we had to travel so far.
Something about the distance gnawed at me. With the recent rogue attack, it felt unsafe to go on a trip with just the three of us.
However, I chose to keep my fears to myself instead of voicing it to Killian.
I thought about how we never had the chance to have a day like this- just the three of us and now we finally have that chance.
Ryker also wanted to go to the beach, it's his birthday wish. We already ruined his birthday by using it to lure the rogues to a trap. Killian and I want to make it up to him, we wanted him to be happy.
So, despite the creeping feelings in my gut, I kept my mouth shut. I pushed the unease aside, convincing myself that it was just anxiety, a negative feeling and I can't let that get in the way of our happiness. Besides, I'm a best skilled warrior, and Killian is a powerful Alpha; we could protect ourselves if anything went wrong.
What could possibly happen on a sunny beach day?
I scanned the beach, seeing nothing out of the ordinary just the same gentle waves and the distant line where the sky meets the sea.
I forced myself to relax, telling myself it was nothing that I was only scaring myself with my unwarranted thoughts.
"Astrid, Ryker wants to swim!" Killian shouted at me with a smile on his face. "Would you like to swim with us?" he asked me.
I wanted to join in. It's not every day that we could go to the beach especially since we live in the forests, but my eyes kept drifting back to the horizon.
That's when I noticed it - something caught my eye, a small figure moved past. It disappeared so fast that anyone would think it was nothing, but I knew then that something was indeed wrong.
This beach is far from any civilization that's why Killian chose to be here. No one is supposed to be here except for us.
"Killian," I called, my voice quieter than I intended.
He didn't hear me, he was focused on Ryker.
I swallowed when the figures finally came out of hiding sensing that I already caught sight of them.
They started approaching and it turns out there were more of them, fanning out as they moved closer. My instincts flared.
This time, I raised my voice. "Killian, we need to go."
He paused looking back at me with

"Stay close," he ordered, his voice tight as he held Ryker close to him.
I instantly carried Ryker in my arms as Killian positioned himself in front of us, his stance protective and ready.
The attackers surged forward, moving as one and I took off with only getting Ryker to safety in my mind. I barely had time to process what was happening. The beach, so peaceful moments ago, erupted into chaos.
Although Killian was trying his best to fend them off, the attackers weren't interested on him, some of them chased after us.
A sharp sting bit into my shoulder while I was running. I gasped, stumbling back as I felt the burning sensation spread.
Ryker fell to the sand beside me.
I reached up, my fingers brushing against the small dart lodged in my skin.
Panic flared as pain shot through me, spreading like fire.
My vision blurred, and a strange weakness gripped my body, threatening to consume me.
"Killian-" I tried to call out, but my voice was weak.
The substance in the dart was like poison, burning through my veins, making it hard to stand, let alone
fight.
This wasn't just wolfsbane. As a
warrior, have strong tolerance on wolfsbane. For something to be able to knock me down easily like this, it got to be something else.
Ryker clung to my side, his small hand trembling in mine.
I had to protect him. I couldn't let them take him, not when I only just had him.
But my strength was fading fast and the world around me tilted. It would only be a minute before the attackers pressed in on us.
Chapter 312: Attackers
Astrid's POV
The poison courses through my veins, burning like wildfire as it spreads.
I can feel its tendrils seeping into every muscle, rendering my limbs heavy and unresponsive.
Panic claws at my chest as the world blurs and darkens, the strength I've always prided myself on slipping away.
The sand beneath my fingers feels coarse and cold as I clutch at the ground, trying to stay anchored, trying to fight the rising tide of fear and hopelessness.
In the distance, I catch a glimpse of Killian locked in a vicious fight, his movements a blur as he fends off the attackers.
My heart pounds. He's occupied and even if he's not, he's too far. I know he won't reach me in time. I'm alone.
I have no one but myself.
And the attackers - they're closing in.
I looked at Ryker, his eyes wide and terrified, his small hands gripping my arm as I struggle to rise. It's hopeless for me. I couldn't run.
But Ryker... he has to go on, he has to protect himself.
"Run," I whisper, my voice cracking. "Run, Ryker. You have to go."
He shakes his head, tears spilling down his cheeks, his lips parting, but no sound comes out.
My heart shatters. This was supposed to be a good day for us. We came here to celebrate his birthday, but instead things had turned into a nightmare.
Ryker couldn't speak, and I know the terror he's feeling is so much worse because he can't express it.
I force a smile, even as my vision flickers with encroaching darkness.
"It's okay," I promise, my voice soft. "Your father and I will follow. We'll be right behind you. You don't have to be afraid."
Ryker hesitates, his hands trembling, and I hold my breath. He stared into my eyes as if he was trying to read through my thoughts.
I held his gaze, not showing how scared I was too at that moment, and with a determined nod, he regains his courage.
With his face streaked with tears, he turns and starts running.
I watched as his small figure disappears into the distance, and I let out a breath, relief and fear mingling as I watch him go.
I have to believe he'll make it. I have to believe he'll find somewhere safe to hide.
I try to push myself up, but my vision wavers again, and the poison tightens its grip.
I collapse back onto the sand, my strength abandoning me completely.
I hear footsteps approaching - slow, deliberate - and I know one of them has caught up.
A man crouches beside me, a cruel smirk curling his lips.
"Well, well," he taunts, his voice dripping with mockery. "Look at the mighty Luna now, lying in the dirt like a dying dog."
I scoffed at the way he addressed me. I was a Luna, but not anymore.
I narrowed my eyes to clear up my blurry vision and to have a good look at him.
I couldn't recognize the person in front of me. I haven't seen him before. I believe this is the first time we met.
"Where is the child?" he asks me as I lay weakly on the ground, not bothering to make a futile attempt of leaving anymore.
I could already feel the poison swallowing me whole and if a miracle could happen, I still couldn't escape from this man who already caught me.
My heart pounds, and I struggle to
lift my head, to face him. "I'm...
here," whisper, my voice D. Be
breath. "You caught me. Let the child go. He's innocent."
His grin widens. He leans in closer, his eyes gleaming with malice. "Oh, I think you misunderstand."
He calls out to another figure in the distance. "Go after the kid. Finish him."
My eyes widen, panic surging through me. "No!" I cry, my voice breaking.
I try to push myself up, but the poison burns, its grip unyielding. I claw at the sand, my body refusing to obey. "Please... he's just a child!"
The man chuckles, watching me struggle. "You really don't get it, do you? You're the one we want, but the boy? He has to go to and it's because of you."
He tilts his head, studying my
pathetic attempts to move. "We gave you a dose of Nightshade
Venom designed specifically foret
the likes of you. It is meant to disrupt the delicate balance between you and your wolf. It's almost impossible to fight."
My brows furrowed in confusion. This is the first time I have heard of such thing and I have no idea what exactly it was.
He chuckled humorlessly as he crouched beside me. "I wonder who is going to die first. Is it you? Or will it be Ryker?"
My body convulses as I try to pull myself forward, my arms shaking. I know I'm losing the battle, but I can't give up not when Ryker is in danger.
"Killian," I whisper, my voice raspy and weak. "Killian, please..." He is the only one I could think that could help us.
The man laughs again, the sound
cruel and echoing in my ears. "He's busy. And even if he weren't, you think he could save you? My men are tearing him apart as we speak. We came prepared, and he's outnumbered."
My vision blurs as hot tears fill my eyes.
All my life, I've felt powerless - first when I was bound to a marriage where I was never truly valued, then when I lost my son, and now again, as I lay helpless in the sand.
I had promised myself I'd protect Ryker, make up for the years I'd lost. But here I am, powerless to fulfill that promise.
"Please..." I whimper, the tears streaming down my cheeks. "I need to be strong... for him."
My voice is barely a whisper as I force my body to move, inch by agonizing inch.
But it's not enough. The poison holds me fast, and I know I'm running out of time.
Chapter 313: Unleashed
Astrid's POV
As I lie there, hopelessness threatens to swallow me whole.
I can't shift, I can't fight. If only I still had my wolf-if only I were strong enough.
I'm so tired of feeling defenseless, of losing everything I care about.
Sobs choke me as I call out to my wolf, the part of me that has been silent for so long.
I haven't seen her nor heard from her since the accident. I'm not sure if I had lost her, but I needed her now. She has to come back.
The darkness pulls at me, a relentless tide that threatens to swallow me whole.
My vision fades, and every muscle feels like it's made of lead as I lie helpless on the sand.
The poison sinks its claws deeper, and for a moment, I think this might be the end.
But somewhere deep inside, I reach out, hoping, praying that my wolf will hear me.
"Please," I whisper, my voice cracking. "I need you. I know... I know I haven't seen you in three years, but
I need you now. Please, come back."
I cling to that hope, the hope that my wolf - my other half-will answer.
But instead of the familiar presence I long for, something else stirs in the depths of my soul.
It thrums with a power so intense, it feels like a storm roaring through my veins.
I know this creature; it has appeared to me before, in my nightmares and darkest moments.
It had also taken control of my body before. Whenever he raises to the surface, he would trap and
consume me, leaving me no control not even connection to the senses of my body.
It's not my wolf - at least, not the one I've known. It's something far more strange, more feral, and far more powerful.
Fear grips me as I sense its presence, coiling and waiting. Its energy is wild and violent, a chaotic force that hums with thoughts of destruction and rage.
I know the danger of unleashing it, of letting it take over my body.
Every time I've felt its presence, it's filled my mind with violent urges, tempting me to destroy everything in my path.
It's a creature that lives for the hunt, for the thrill of bloodshed. And yet, I am desperate. I have no other choice.
"Help me... protect him..." I plead, feeling the desperation clawing at my chest.
For the first time, I surrender myself to it, letting go of the fear, letting the darkness wrap around me as I open the cage that has kept the beast contained for so long.
I was afraid to unleash this unknown creature inside of me. I was always terrified of how it could consume me whole and take control on my body, but now I allowed it to do as it wanted.
The shift comes violently, tearing through my body with a force that makes me scream in agony.
Pain rips through my bones, and my skin feels like it's on fire as my form changes, twisting and reshaping into something unfamiliar.
It's not the gentle, controlled transformation I've felt before. This is raw, primal, like I'm being torn apart and put back together all at once.
I feel my claws elongate, my senses heightening to an almost painful clarity.
My body expands, doubling in size, my muscles bulging as silvery fur erupts across my skin.
It glows under the light, shining like liquid metal, and for a moment, I feel the air vibrate around me with the sheep intensity of the power coursing through me.
Ov
I'm no longer just a wolf; I was something more terrifying even to me.
I let out a snarl, the sound deep and resonant, echoing across the beach. The man who had taunted me takes a step back, his confidence shattered.
Terror flashes in his eyes as he stares at me, his face draining of color.
"This couldn't be. This couldn't be," he stammers, his voice trembling as he backs away, his hands shaking. "The poison was supposed to kill you... it was supposed to
His words trait off as he continues to stare, his eyes locked on my new form. I see his terror, and for a brief moment, the violent urge rises-an instinct to lunge, to rip and tear until the beach is soaked in his blood.
QUMS
The creature inside me snarls, its rage hungry and eager, urging me to unleash the fury building within.
It feeds off the man's fear, delights in his horror. It whispers in my mind, pushing me to let go, to destroy. That's the kind of creature he is.
But I fight it, struggling to keep control even as the power surges. I have to remember why I did this- why I allowed this beast to take over.
Ryker.
I ground myself in that thought, and the rage tempers, just enough to hold back the impulse to kill. The man continues to shake, stumbling backward. "It unleashed-no, this is impossible!" he cries, clutching at his weapon.
He clutches the weapon, the same one that delivered the poisoned dart that nearly brought me down.
His knuckles are white as he grips it, desperate, like it's a shield against the monster I've become.
His eyes are wide, filled with panic. "They said the essence would weaken you! They said "
I don't let him finish. With a snarl, I lunge, my massive paws slamming into his chest.
The impact sends him sprawling, and the weapon flies from his grasp, spinning through the air before it lands several feet away in the sand.
The sound of it hitting the ground echoes in the night, and I feel a surge of satisfaction as the man scrambles, suddenly defenseless.
He tries to crawl toward the weapon, his hands digging into the sand as he pulls himself forward, but I'm faster.
I slam my paw down on his back, pinning him in place. He cries out, his face twisted in fear as he feels the weight of my strength holding him down.
The man writhes beneath me, his body trembling as he struggles to lift himself, his eyes fixed on the weapon glinting a few feet away in the sand.
He claws desperately, but he's too slow. I press my paw down harder, pinning him with all the force I can muster.
His cry of pain fills the night, and I feel the creature inside me, thrumming with satisfaction, eager for
more.
Chapter 314: Bloodthirsty Creature
Killian's
POV
I tear into another attacker, my jaws snapping as I toss him aside. But they keep coming, one after the other, their numbers overwhelming.
I'm outnumbered, and every move feels heavier, slower. My fur is matted with blood-some mine, some theirs-but it's not enough.
Two wolves slam into my side, knocking me off my feet and pinning me down.
I growl, thrashing as I try to push them off, but their combined weight keeps me grounded.
I catch sight of one of them his teeth bared-lunging for my throat. I twist, trying to shake him off, but they have me pinned, and I know I'm losing this fight.
My wolf surges with frustration and fury. We're much powerful compared to them, but we're running out of strength, and I can feel the odds tipping against us.
Just as one of them goes for the kill, a massive silver blur crashes into him, ripping him away from me.
The ground shakes beneath the force of the impact, and I scramble to my feet, snapping at the remaining wolves.
Astrid's wolf is a whirlwind of ferocity, a massive beast twice her usual size, her silver fur shimmering under the moonlight.
She's moving with a savage, brutal grace, tearing through our enemies with an intensity that leaves me stunned.
She pounces on one of the attackers, her jaws snapping down on his neck and shaking until I hear the crack of bones.
She throws him aside like he's nothing and turns on the next without hesitation. Her claws rip through fur and flesh, leaving trails of red across the sand.
I watch, caught between relief and horror.
Who is this wolf?
I've seen Astrid's wolf before and it wasn't this huge and feral, even the color of her fur had changed from brown to silver.
This isn't the Astrid I know this is something else, something feral and terrifying.
Even the way she fought the attackers was brutal, swiftly going for a kill. This isn't Astrid's usual style of fighting.
Her size alone is monstrous, and the way she moves-swift, relentless, and without pause - it's like watching a force of nature.
My wolf stirs uneasily, a growl rumbling in my chest. He doesn't recognize her; he doesn't feel the bond that should connect us.
All he feels is the presence of a beast-a predator that's far too powerful.
I take a step back, watching as she finishes off another attacker, her jaws clamping down with brutal efficiency.
Blood sprays as she tosses him aside, and she lets out a snarl that vibrates through the air.
The wolves that remain hesitate, sensing the danger, but it's too late.
"Astrid!" I growled, hoping she would relax.
The danger is gone, no one's going to fight back. Everyone is terrified of her.
Including me.
"Astrid!" I called once again, but she's already on them before they can flee, tearing through them with a savagery that sends a shiver down my spine.
One by one, they fall, and the sand beneath her is stained with blood.
She stands among the carnage, her fur matted, her chest heaving with heavy breaths.
The scent of death is thick in the air, and my wolf recoils. This isn't Astrid.
The bond we share is absent, replaced by the raw, overpowering energy of a predator I don't recognize.
As she surveys the battlefield, her eyes-cold and glowing-lock onto mine. I freeze.
Her gaze isn't that of my mate; it's the gaze of a hunter sizing up its next target.
My wolf stiffens, and I take a cautious step back, my ears flattening.
"Astrid..." I growl softly, hoping to reach her. "It's me. It's Killian."
But there's no recognition in her eyes. She prowls forward, her movements slow and deliberate, her teeth bared.
There's a hunger there a violence that I've never seen before. My wolf's instincts scream at me, and I brace myself, readying for the attack.
I know she's faster, stronger, and my body is already aching from the fight.
She lunges, and I barely dodge in time, her claws grazing my shoulder.
I feel the sting of the wound, but I can't think about the pain. I can only focus on staying alive.
She circles me, her growl low and menacing, and I know she's preparing for another strike.
I've fought alongside her countless times, but this... this is different. There's no hint of the mate bond. There's only the beast.
I try again, hoping to reach whatever
part of her is still in there. "Astrid, please, I bark, desperation seeping into my voice. "It's me. It's Killian. Don't do this."
But she doesn't slow. She springs at me again, this time her claws tearing into my side.
I yelp, the pain sharp and blinding, but I fight back, snapping my jaws to keep her at bay.
We clash, but I'm no match for her. Her strength is overwhelming, and every strike she delivers feels like it could be the last.
She pins me to the sand, her jaws poised above my throat, ready to end my life.
Just as I brace myself, her weight bearing down on me, a small voice pierces through the air.
"Daddy!"
Her body jerks, her eyes flickering, and she hesitates. I watch, breathless, as she pulls back, her gaze shifting from me to the small figure standing just a few paces away. .
Ryker.
"Daddy," he says again, his voice soft and fearful as he stared at us fighting in wolf forms.
Astrid's wolf freezes, her muscles tensing, but the rage in her eyes slowly fades.
Ryker's voice, that small, innocent call, seems to cut through the haze of bloodlust.
Her claws release their grip on me, and she takes a step back, her ears twitching as she processes his
voice.
She turns fully toward him, and I let out a breath of relief. If it weren't for him, I know I wouldn't have made
it.
Chapter 315: Posessed
Astrid's POV
I rushed to Killian's side without a second thought, my only goal was to protect him. I can see he's outnumbered, pinned down beneath two wolves.
My only thought is to protect him, to fight for him. But as I rip the wolf off of him, something changes. The scent of blood hits me harder, sharper. My claws sink deeper into the flesh, and I can hear my wolf whispering in the back of my mind, 'More. Give me more.
I feel the weight of my wolf coiling inside me, urging me forward as I tear through another attacker. My teeth sink into flesh, the taste of blood filling my mouth, and the rush of power surges through me.
I can feel her - my wolf - pushing me away, clawing at the surface, wanting more.
I should be horrified, but instead, a twisted satisfaction rises within me as I rip another throat open.
This... this feeling wasn't coming from me. It was coming form the wolf who is fighting to push me back and gain full control over my body.
The scent of blood hits me harder, sharper. My claws sink deeper into the flesh, and I can hear my wolf whispering in the back of my mind. 'More. Give me more.'
I shake my head, trying to focus, but it's like wading through quicksand.
With every kill, my body grows heavier, and the sound of my wolf's hunger drowns out my own thoughts.
I feel her slipping into control, dragging me with her. "No. Stop!" I scream at myself, but it's useless.
I watch in horror as my hands-no, her claws - rip through another wolf. The scent of blood is intoxicating, blurring the lines between reason and instinct.
My vision is slipping, clouding with red. I'm trying to hold on, clinging to the last shred of myself, but it's fading, drowning beneath the bloodlust.
'I'll kill them,' my wolf growls, her voice dark and intoxicating in my mind. 'We must destroy them all.' "No," I manage to whisper to myself.
My heart pounds in panic, but my body doesn't listen. My wolf keeps going, slaughtering without hesitation.
I'm screaming inside, but I can't move. I'm locked away, shoved into the back of my own mind.
'Stop, please. This is my body. You have to stop!' But all I hear is her snarls, her unrelenting need to kill.
And then she pauses, chasing her breath, our fur splattered with blood. She had successfully killed all of them, but her thirst for blood wasn't still satisfied.
Slowly, she turned around, sensing life behind her.
And then I see him. Killian.
My heart seizes with terror, a wave of nausea twisting in my gut. The moment my wolf sets her sights on him, I know - she's not seeing Killian.
She's seeing prey.
I fight, clawing at the inside of my mind, desperate to regain control, but it's like trying to hold back a storm. My thoughts are a whirlwind of panic.
'No! Not him!' I scream again, but my voice feels small, powerless.
My body moves without me. My claws extend, my lips pull back into a snarl, and I lunge.
I want to close my eyes, but I can't. I'm forced to watch as I strike him, my claws tearing into his side.
Killian yelps, and the sound shatters
me inside
'No, no, no! Stop!' But it's
not me anymore. My wolf is
relentless, feral, and there's no
stopping her now.
I could hear Killian calling my name, trying to wake me up but I can't. It felt like a nightmare where I was trapped inside my own body.
She circles him, preparing for another attack. I try to scream, but my voice is lost beneath her growl. I'm trapped, helpless, and all I can do is watch as she goes in for the kill.
My heart races, a suffocating weight pressing down on me. I thought this would be it. I thought I was about to kill Killian.
And then, a voice.
"Daddy!"
The word slices through the haze, sharp and piercing, cutting through my wolf's fury like a blade. My wolf falters, her body tensing mid-air. The primal instinct to kill waver, but only for a second. "Daddy!" Ryker's voice, small and fragile, echoes in my mind, a plea full of fear and confusion. Ryker.
My heart stirs beneath the crushing weight of my wolf's dominance.
It's him. It's Ryker. This the first time I've ever heard him speak.
His voice, soft and tremulous, strikes through me like a bolt of lightning.
He could speak!
But my wolf doesn't care. Her head snaps toward him, her eyes narrowing as she sizes him up, the scent of blood still thick in the air.
Ryker's eyes widen in terror as he stares at his father lying on the ground, bleeding and injured
I feel the wolf's predatory thoughts echo through my mind. 'Weak. Easy prey.'
I instantly freeze up when I heard that. Ryker is my son, technically our son. I couldn't believe she would also desire to kill him.
'No! No, you can't! Not Ryker!' I scream from within, fighting with everything I have.
But my wolf's gaze is locked on him, her muscles coiling, preparing to strike.
She takes a step back from Killian, releasing him, but her focus doesn't shift away from Ryker.
Her thoughts are dark, full of hunger
and the desire to hurt, to kill. I hear
her low growl rumbling in our chest as she eyes him like another target.
"I won't let you hurt my son."
QUMS
With determination, I willed all the strength I have left to take control over her.
The wolf's attention is fractured,
distracted by Ryker, and for a split second, I see an opening. Summoning every ounce of strength, I forced myself to shift,
sending waves of pain across our
body.

With determination, I willed all the strength I have left to take control over her.
The wolf's attention is fractured,
distracted by Ryker, and for a split second, I see an opening. Summoning every ounce of strength, I forced myself to shift,
sending waves of pain across our
body.
