Ch. 316..320: Reclaiming My Broken Luna Chapter 316-320

Chapter 316: Terrified

Astrid's POV

Her growl deepens as I push back. She feels me, senses the shift, and her fury erupts like a storm.

She turns inward, roaring, her claws tearing at our shared mind as she tries to maintain control. The pain is blinding, but I don't stop. I won't stop.

I push harder, clawing my way to the surface, forcing myself to the forefront of our shared body.

The wolf thrashes, her rage palpable, and I feel her claws scrape against our own flesh, desperate to hold onto her dominance.

'Let me out!' she howls, her voice feral, raw, 'I will kill them!'

'No!' I scream back, pushing harder, feeling her anger tear through me like fire. 'I won't let you harm them.'

She fights, thrashing in her fury, but I can't let her win. I can't let her hurt Ryker. I won't let you!

The battle rages inside, my wolf roaring and clawing, but I feel her weakening.

I fight with every ounce of strength I have left, shoving against her dominance, inch by inch.

My body jerks violently, and I know Killian sees it - he can see the wolf tearing herself apart, trying to reclaim control.

His gaze flicks between me and Ryker, realization dawning on him as he sees the danger.

Without hesitation, Killian moves, rushing to Ryker's side, placing himself between us.

His body, battered and bleeding, shields our son from me - from the danger I've become. 'Please, stop! I beg you!'

The wolf roars, thrashing inside our mind, but I push harder, clawing through the pain. The wolf lets out a guttural snarl, our body shaking from the force of the internal struggle.

Her claws dig into the earth, her muscles spasming as I fight to reclaim control.

Finally, with a desperate shove, I push her back just enough to take control.

My vision clears, and I'm staring at them - Killian and Ryker.

They stand together, Ryker's small hand clutching his father's leg as he peers out at me with wide, fearful eyes.

My heart shatters.

The wolf's voice still lingers, a dark whisper at the back of my mind, promising pain.

'Kill them.'

I tremble, my body aching from the battle, but I hold on, forcing her back with everything I have left.

I look at Ryker one last time, my heart breaking for what I almost did - for what I still might do if I don't get away.

His eyes are wide, full of fear and innocence. He looks at me like I'm a monster.

I can't stay. I can't risk losing control again.

Without another thought, I turn and run.

I run as fast as I can, putting as much distance between us as possible.

My paws pound against the earth, my wolf's furious roars echoing in my mind as she fights for control

once more.

But I won't stop. Not until they're safe. Not until I'm far enough away that I can't hurt them.

I run, leaving behind the two people I had to protect, knowing it's the only way to protect them from me.

I run until the ground beneath me blurs into nothingness.

The pain inside me keeps building, twisting my insides with every step. My paws start to falter, and my legs buckle beneath the weight of it all.

Suddenly, I stumble, my body crashing to the ground, the impact sending shockwaves of agony through

me.

I let out a howl - a raw, tortured sound that rips from my throat and echoes through the night.

My body trembles, wracked with spasms as my wolf fights to stay in control.

'No! Not yet!' I can feel her panic, her desperation to keep hold. She claws at my mind, refusing to let go.

! grit my teeth as the shift begins, my bones cracking and reshaping, each change more painful than the last.

My wolf roars in fury, unwilling to release her hold on our form, and the pain intensifies.

I scream, my voice mingling with her enraged howls as my body convulses on the ground. Shifting could be torturously slow and painful when the other is fighting back against it.

'Let me out she screeches, her claws scraping the edges of my mind, trying to reclaim control as my form slowly shifts back and forth, the bones moving and snapping in and out of place. en FindNovel

I can't let her win. I won't let her hurt them.

My hands claw at the earth, fingers digging into the dirt as the fur recedes, as bones realign with sharp, jagged cracks that leave me gasping.

I feel the shift dragging out, slower and more agonizing than ever before, my wolf resisting every inch of the way.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity, I lie on the ground, my breath ragged and shallow, fully human again.

My body aches with the remnants of the shift, every muscle trembling from the strain. But even though I'm back in my human form, the battle isn't over.

The wolf is still there, still thrashing

at the back of my mind, her fury unchecked, her growls echoing in my skull. 'I will come back and you will never be able to stop me

'No,' I think, exhaustion weighing on me. 'You won't.'

IMS

I feel her rage, the seething hatred

that courses through her, but I push her further back, locking her away where she can't reach me, where she can't hurt anyone. It's like slamming a door shut in my own

mind, forcing her into a cage.

She howls, the sound distant now, muffled, but still there. She claws at the walls I've built, but she's

trapped.

For now, at least.

Tears slip down my cheeks, unbidden, as the weight of everything crashes over me.

I almost killed Killian. I almost hurt Ryker.

The wolf's hunger for blood, for power - it nearly destroyed everything.

What's happening to me? What was that creature?

I curl into myself, feeling the cool earth beneath me, trying to steady my breath.

I was terrified.

Terrified of myself.

Chapter 317: Support

Astrid's

POV

The cold earth pressed against my bare skin as I curled tighter into myself, the night air biting at my exposed flesh.

My body trembled uncontrollably not just from the chill, but from the fear that clung to me like a second skin.

The pain of the shift still rippled through me, a constant reminder of the monster lurking inside.

I squeezed my eyes shut, hoping to disappear, to sink into the ground and escape everything.

The forest around me was eerily quiet, the only sound my own ragged breathing. I had no idea where I was, only that I had run far. Too far.

But not far enough.

Footsteps.

My heart lurched in my chest. It had to be them - the attackers, or maybe the rogues.

My mind conjured up every possible danger lurking in the shadows of this unknown place.

My pulse quickened as the footsteps grew louder, closer. I didn't have the strength to fight. I didn't even have the strength to stand.

I pulled my knees tighter against my chest, curling up as small as I could.

Maybe if I stayed still enough, they wouldn't see me. Maybe I could just vanish into the forest floor. "Astrid?"

His voice broke through the darkness like a shockwave, pulling me out of my spiraling thoughts. I knew that voice.

Killian.

Slowly, I raised my head, my breath hitching in my throat.

There he was, standing just a few feet away, his eyes wide with concern, a blanket in his arms.

His figure blurred slightly through the haze of tears I hadn't even realized I was crying.

"Astrid," he repeated, softer this time, as if he was afraid his voice would startle me. "It's just me."

I wanted to speak, to tell him to stay back, to leave, but all that came out was a broken sob.

He took a step forward, but I scooted away, dragging my body over the dirt and leaves, my voice hoarse and desperate. "No! Please, stay away!"

He froze, his face tightening with emotion. "Astrid, I'm not going to hurt you."

"I'll hurt you," I choked out, shaking my head. "I'll lose control. You have to leave. Just-just go before I—" Killian's jaw clenched, and he stepped forward again, this time more determined. "I'm not going anywhere."

My heart raced, and the wolf inside me stirred, a low growl rumbling through my chest.

I squeezed my eyes shut, terrified of what might happen next. "You don't understand! I can't control her! You saw what happened! I almost- I almost hurt Ryker. I can't-"

My voice broke, tears falling freely now. "I'll put you in danger."

His footsteps were slow, cautious, but unrelenting. He knelt down a few feet in front of me, close but not close enough to touch.

His eyes never left mine, and for a moment, all I saw in them was fear - but not of me. For me.

"You won't hurt me, Astrid," he said quietly, his voice firm but gentle. "You won't lose control. I'm here, and I'm not leaving."

I shook my head again, curling back tighter into myself. "You don't know that! You can't know that!"

"Astrid," he whispered, the raw

emotion in his voice making me

pause. "It's okay... you don't have to be afraid to hurt me. Just take it as your chance to get back at me for everything I have done. Besides, I

won't let anything bad happen, I can

protect the both of us."

I blinked, my breath catching. His words reached deep, past the fear, past the pain, and for a moment, the wolf inside me stilled, listening.

"I've been a fool," Killian continued, his voice thick with something I couldn't quite place.

"I know I've hurt you. I know I've made you feel like you're alone. But you're not. You never were.

I'm here now, and I'm going to stay

No matter how hard this gets, no matter how scared you are - I'm not going to walk away from you. Not again... even if it kills me.

I'd rather die in your hands than die without you."

I fell silent as his words hung in the air. I couldn't believe he would even dare to ask me for death.

But the fear was still there, clawing at me. "Killian..." My voice was barely a whisper.

He took another step closer, slowly unfolding the blanket in his hands. "Let me help you," he murmured, his eyes locking onto mine. "Please, Astrid. Let me in. I'm not afraid of yout. I never was."

Tears welled up again, and I felt the tight grip of fear start to loosen, just slightly.

I swallowed hard, my voice trembling. "I don't want to hurt you."

"You won't," he said, his voice steady and certain. "I trust you."

I didn't know what to say. For so long, I had wanted to hear him say those words.

And now, here he was, offering me the one thing I never thought I would have from him his trust.

Killian took one more step, carefully wrapping the blanket around my shaking shoulders.

His touch was warm, grounding. Seeing that he wasn't afraid of me, I felt at ease and I was no longer afraid of myself.

"I'm here, Astrid," he whispered, his hand resting gently on my arm. "And I'm not going anywhere."

Slowly, I lifted my gaze to meet his, the weight of his words sinking in. And for the first time in what felt like an eternity, I let myself believe him.

For a moment, Killian's presence was the only thing tethering me to reality.

His warmth, his steady breath - it was all I could focus on as the storm inside me quieted, if only for a moment.

"Ryker," I whispered, my voice shaking. "Is he... is he hurt? Where is he?" I asked him worriedly Killian's eyes softened, and he shook his head gently. "No, Astrid. Ryker's safe. He wasn't hurt." Relief washed over me, but it was fleeting. The fear, the guilt - they still had their claws in me. "But where is he? Why did you leave him?" I asked, barely holding myself together.

"I managed to send a signal to the nearest pack when the attack began," Killian explained, his voice calm but filled with something deeper, something more.

"They're our allies, and their Alpha responded right away. They came, and I entrusted Ryker to them before I came to find you. He's with them now, safe.

Chapter 318: Benefit of the Doubt

Astrid's POV

Tears welled up in my eyes again, a mixture of relief and guilt crashing over me.

"Thank you," I whispered, my voice trembling.

Then my brows furrowed with concern as I looked at him. "But... what about you? Are you... are you all right? Did I hurt you?"

He turned his head away as if he could avoid the question. His silence made my heart race with dread. Before he could get away from me, I pushed him to face me fully and that's when I saw it - his right arm, the sleeve of his shirt soaked with blood.

A deep, jagged claw mark ran from his bicep to his forearm, and the sight of it made my stomach turn. "No..." I gasped, my voice barely a breath. "I did that... didn't I?"

Killian glanced down at his arm, then shook his head, brushing it off as if it were nothing. "It's nothing," he said softly, but his jaw was tight, and I could see the tension in his body the pain he was trying to hide. "Killian, it's not nothing," I whispered, my heart breaking at the sight of the wound.

"You're bleeding... badly. You shouldn't have followed me here. you needed stitches. I-" My voice cracked, and I felt the weight of guilt pressing down on me. "I hurt you."

His eyes softened as he leaned closer, his hand still resting gently on my arm. "Astrid, I'm alright. I could barely feel it there," he murmured, his voice low and steady. "What matters is that you're here, and you're safe."

Tears slipped down my cheeks, and I shook my head, my voice breaking. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to - I would never -"

He cupped my face with one hand, his thumb brushing away the tears that fell. "I know," he whispered.

"I know you didn't mean to. This wasn't you, Astrid. It was the wolf. And we'll figure it out. You don't have to be afraid."

I felt relieved that he noticed it, that I wasn't the one in control of my body earlier. I didn't know how else to explain it if he didn't caught on it.

"But I am afraid," I confessed, my voice trembling as I looked into his eyes. "I don't know what's happening to me. This wolf... She's different.

She's not like my usual wolf. She's darker. Stronger. She wants control, Killian. She's angry, and she wants blood. She almost... she almost hurt Ryker."

He didn't speak, but his gaze never left mine, steady and unwavering. He listened as I poured out the fear that had been consuming me.

"She keeps demanding to be let out," I continued, my voice breaking. "And I don't know how much longer I can keep her in.

She's dangerous, Killian. She's not afraid of hurting people... she was even demanding to kill you. I don't know what's happening to me, and I-I'm scared."

Killian's eyes narrowed, feeling my worries. He held me comfortingly and leaned in closer, until I could feel his breath warm against my skin.

"You don't have to be scared," he whispered. "Not anymore. I'm here, and we'll figure this out together."

I closed my eyes, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to fall again. "I don't know how long I could be able to hold her back? What if I hurt you or Ryker, or-"

"Astrid," he interrupted, his voice firm but filled with warmth. "You're not going to lose control. Not while I'm here. I won't let you. I trust you."

I opened my eyes, blinking through the blur of tears as I stared into his. "How can you say that?" I whispered. "How can you trust me after what I've done?"

"Because know you," Killian said softly, his thumb gently caressing my cheek. "I've always known you. You're stronger than you think. And I'm not afraid of you. I never was."

His words wrapped around me like a lifeline, pulling me out of the darkness I had been drowning in.

I had been aware of this monster inside or me for so long, but I just refused to acknowledge it.

Now that my son is alive, now that I have the reason to live, that's when this monster suddenly decided to take everything from me again.

It made me afraid of the monster

lurking inside. But Killian's words his presence, his unwavering belief in me... it made me believe, if only for a moment, that maybe I didn't have to be afraid.

"We will figure this out, Astrid." Killian's breath ghosted across my skin as he whispered, "You deserve everything, Astrid. I'm not going to let you go not when Ryker and Care just starting to have our life with you."

That's right... A life with them. A life that I have always been dreaming about. It's just starting to come

true.

I gazed up at him, tears still brimming in my eyes. "And if I never figure it out?"

"I'm here now, Astrid, and I'm not going anywhere," Killian's voice was low but filled with conviction. "I'm not giving up on you. I won't ever leave you again."

Something inside me shifted, the tight grip of fear loosening just a little more.

His words, his touch-they pierced through the walls I'd built around myself, walls I never thought I'd be able to tear down.

His presence made me feel something I hadn't felt in so long. Safe. Loved.

Slowly, tentatively, I reached up and wrapped my arms around him. His warmth, his strength-they steadied me in a way I hadn't realized I needed.

For the first time in a long time, I allowed myself to believe him. To trust him.

He had let me down before, yes, but this time, something felt different. I could see it in his eyes, hear it in his voice.

Killian had been a victim, too-manipulated and deceived by Giselle, just like I had been.

And though the hurt ran deep, I couldn't deny the sincerity in his gaze, the regret in his words.

He had been blind, yes, but he had also been trapped by her lies.

I took a breath, my body trembling slightly as I rested my head against his chest.

This time, I thought, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I wasn't sure if my heart could survive

being broken again, but for now... I wanted to believe in him.

I wanted to believe that we could find our way back to each other.

And for the first time, I felt like maybe we could.

Chapter 319: Innocent

Astrid's POV

Killian's arms wrapped around me, warm and secure, like a shield against the storm inside me.

For the first time in what felt like forever, I didn't feel so exposed. His embrace was steady, strong, and I could feel the tension in my chest start to unravel as he held me.

His presence alone was enough to quiet the fears that had been raging in my mind, but it couldn't drown out the truth that lingered between us - truth that had remained buried for too long.

He pressed his forehead gently against mine, his breath warm as he spoke softly, "You don't need to worry anymore, Astrid. I've found a lead."

I pulled back slightly, looking up at him with confusion. "A lead?"

Killian nodded, his expression darkening with seriousness. "The Pack that helped us... they caught one of

the attackers as he was trying to run. He didn't get far, and they managed to extract information from him."

A pit of dread settled deep in my stomach. My voice barely came out as a whisper. "What did he say?" Killian's grip on me tightened, his jaw clenching as though he was bracing me for the worst. "He confessed. They were acting under Giselle's orders."

My blood turned cold at the sound of her name. Giselle. Of course.

Even now, after everything that had happened, she was still trying to tear us apart, still plotting our destruction.

"She's behind this... again," I whispered, my voice trembling with disbelief. "She's already in the dungeon. I thought it was over."

Killian's face hardened with regret. "It should have been over. But she found a way. She ordered them to kill Ryker."

His voice broke slightly as he continued, the weight of those words too heavy for him to bear. "She was trying to take him from us, Astrid."

The breath was knocked out of me, the realization hitting me like a punch to the gut.

"Giselle... she wanted to kill Ryker?" My voice shook as I forced the words out, horror sinking in.

Killian nodded, his eyes shadowed with guilt. "Yes. And the poison they used on you - it came from her. They don't even know what it was. She wanted you gone, and she was willing to do anything to make it happen."

I felt a violent surge of anger and disbelief rising in my chest. Giselle. The woman who had been at the center of so much of our suffering, the woman who had manipulated and twisted everything.

She had tried to take away my son. My son.

"I should've dealt with her sooner," Killian muttered, his voice cracking with guilt.

"I should have killed her the moment I had the chance. I should have seen what she was capable of, but I didn't. And because of that, we've all suffered. I'm so sorry, Astrid."

I looked up at him, seeing the torment etched into every line of his face. The regret. The self-blame.

He felt responsible for everything that had happened, for the danger that had stalked us, for the pain I had carried for so long.

Part of me wanted to be angry, wanted to blame him for not seeing through Giselle's lies sooner, but I knew better.

Giselle had deceived us both.

She had twisted the truth, manipulated every situation to her advantage, and neither of us had been immune to her manipulations.

"This isn't your fault," I whispered, my voice barely audible.

"You didn't know. None of us did. She's been planning this for so long, twisting everything. It wasn't your fault.'

Killian shook his head, refusing to accept my words. "No, it was my fault," he insisted, his voice breaking.

"I let her into our lives. I was the one

who allowed all of this to happen T should have protected you better, and I didn't. I can never forgive myself for how much I hurt you." en FindNovel

Hearing him say that made my heart ache. For so many years, I had thought he was happy with her, that

he had chosen her over me, and that

he had gotten exactly what he

wanted.

I had no idea he was suffering more than I was. He had been trapped, manipulated, living in misery under her lies.

Giselle had played both of us, and I had been too blind with hurt to see it.

"All this time," I whispered, my voice trembling, "I thought you were the one who hurt me. I thought you had betrayed me. But it wasn't you. It was her."

Killian's eyes softened, a deep sadness filling them as he cupped my cheek gently.

His thumb brushed away the tears that had started to fall. "I never betrayed you, Astrid. I never stopped loving you. Not once. I only ever wanted you."

Tears welled up in my eyes as the truth settled over me. "I hated you," I admitted, my voice breaking.

"I hated you so much because I thought you had chosen her. I thought you had left me behind... but now I know the truth. I know how much you've been suffering too."

"I was trapped," he whispered, his

voice raw with emotion. "Forced into

a life I never wanted. But I never loved her. I never shared a bed with

her, Astrid. You were the only one. You've always been the only one."

QUMS

I broke down in sobs, the weight of all the years of pain, misunderstanding, and bitterness crashing over

me.

Anya, his trusted omega had also told me this before, but I didn't listen. I thought she just got it all wrong, but it was me who got everything wrong.

"I'm so sorry," I whispered, my voice trembling. "I'm sorry I believed the worst of you. I'm sorry I didn't fight harder to find the truth."

Chapter 320: Forgiveness

Astrid's

POV

Killian shook his head, his tears falling freely now as he rested his forehead against mine.

"Don't be sorry," he whispered. "You had every reason to believe what you did. I didn't fight hard enough either. I should have told you the truth sooner, but I was too ashamed. Too afraid."

A sob broke from my chest as I leaned into his touch, my heart aching for him, for everything we had lost.

"I blamed you for everything," I whispered. "But you never blamed me. You carried all of this guilt alone. I should have known."

He held me tighter, his arms wrapping around me as though he could shield me from the pain that had been festering between us for so long.

"We were both innocent," he whispered, his voice cracking. "It was all lies. None of this should have happened.'

I pulled back just enough to look into his eyes, my heart still heavy but lighter than it had been in years. "Can we start over?" I asked, my voice small but hopeful. "Can we forget everything and build something new?"

Killian smiled softly, his thumb brushing away the last of my tears. "Yes," he whispered. "We can start over. We can build something better. Together."

I nodded, taking a deep breath as the weight of the past finally began to lift from my shoulders.

For the first time in what felt like forever, I felt free. I felt hope.

And as I looked into Killian's eyes, filled with love and sincerity, I knew that we could make this work. We had always belonged to each other.

"I love you, Astrid," Killian whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I've always loved you. I never stopped."

A smile tugged at my lips as I whispered back, "I love you too, Killian. I never stopped."

All this years of hating him, I thought it was the reason why my heart had no room left for love.

But I was deluding myself.

The reason why my heart had no room for love is because the space was already occupied by Killian. And in that moment, as we stood there holding each other, we finally shared the kiss we had been denied for so long.

It was soft at first, a tentative connection, but as our lips met, it deepened into something more -

something filled with all the years of longing, of pain, of love that had been waiting to be set free.

When we finally pulled apart, our foreheads still resting together, I knew that this time, we were going to be okay.

We had each other again, and that was all that mattered.

Together, we could face anything.

Killian's hand gently cupped the back of my neck, his touch grounding me in the present moment.

His voice was soft, but there was an edge to it, a determination that sent a shiver down my spine.

"I'll deal with Giselle," he said quietly,

his breath warm against my skinz"1 don't care about the protocol anymore. As long as she is alive, I know we won't be able to live in peace."

en FindNovel

The seriousness in his tone brought me back to reality, reminding me that while we had found each other again, the shadow of Giselle still loomed large.

Killian pulled back slightly, his eyes searching mine for confirmation, for some kind of reassurance that we were on the same page.

"As long as she's breathing, Astrid, we'll always be looking over our shoulders. I won't let her take anything else from us."

I nodded, the resolution in his words echoing in my own heart. I wanted this chapter of our lives to close for good.

I wanted to move on, to live the life we should have had from the beginning - free from the lies, free from the manipulation.

Giselle had already stolen so much from us; she couldn't be allowed to take any more.

"I agree, Killian," I whispered, my voice trembling slightly. "She has to be punished. But before that happens, I need to talk to her."

His brow furrowed in confusion. "What? Why would you want to speak to her after everything she's done?"

I stilled, the words catching in my throat. I think Giselle knows that something is wrong with me. I think she knows about my wolf.

The poison used on me that they couldn't identify, Giselle has the answers to that, and I need to ask her.

"I know Giselle had done a lot of unforgivable things against us," l answered in a low voice. "That's why I need to talk to her. I need to settle things with her. This... this nightmare won't end for me until I do.

Killian's hand tightened around mine, his grip protective, hesitant. I could see the conflict in his eyes, the

worry that he didn't want me near her, the same woman who had nearly destroyed us.

But I also saw understanding. He knew I needed this. He knew I needed my own closure.

"Are you sure?" His voice was laced with concern, but it was gentle, supportive.

I nodded, swallowing hard. "Yes. I'm sure.

Killian sighed softly, pressing his lips into a tight line before nodding. "Alright. I'll come with you."

"No," I blurted out in surprise, not expecting that answer from him. I held myself back before I expose myself. "I - I must do this alone," I muttered as I look into his eyes.

Killian was hesitant for a moment, before he gave in. "Alright, I'll let you talk to her alone, but I'll be close by, just in case."

"Thank you," I whispered, relief

flooding through me. "I won't take long," I promised, squeezing his hand. "But I need to do this before we move forward. I need to close that door, once and for all.

Killian nodded again, his hand brushing a stray tear from my cheek.

"We'll close it together," he whispered, his voice filled with both determination and tenderness.
