Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 871

The fifty-year-old Doctor Franklin adjusted his glasses and raised his head to look at Arianna. He did not lose his temper at Arianna’s insolence. Instead, it was as if he had expected it. "Ms. Tanner, your uncle's situation is a bit special. He didn't need my permission to leave, nor was I even given the right to discharge him."

"So, you're saying you don't want to take responsibility for this?" Arianna asked as she narrowed her gaze at him.

"Ms. Tanner, I assure you everything went according to our procedures. Since the family had requested me to discharge the patient and the patient had also agreed, there was nothing we could do to stop them since they've signed the disclaimers.” He finished, took out the legal documents from his shelf, and threw them onto his desk.

Arianna hurriedly looked through them and noticed that Stephanie had signed them with her uncle's crooked signature. "How long have they been gone?" She gritted her teeth and asked as she placed her hands on the table.

"About two days ago," Franklin answered.

‘Two days ago?!" Derrick got discharged before Damian reappeared and turned himself in. ‘It looked like these two incidents are somehow connected after all.’

"Who came to pick him up from the hospital?" She continued asking.

"I'm sorry, we don't know. However, there were quite a handful of people who came. After all, when Mr. Tanner first came to our hospital, he brought many along. The Tanner family is a reputable family, and your connections are vast, so it is not surprising that we don't know every one of your connections, correct?” Franklin clarified.

Arianna knew he was pulling her leg but chose not to press the subject. Instead, she thought for a moment before asking, ‘Then, did my uncle say where he was going?"

Franklin just smiled. "I honestly don't know the answer to this question, but I'm guessing most patients would probably choose to go home after being discharged. Since you're so worried about your uncle, Ms. Tanner, I suggest you check on him at his place."

Arianna nodded and stood up. "I understand. Thank you for your help, Doctor Franklin.”

‘This sly fox is probably one of Uncle Derrick's lackeys too! I don't know how much truth there was to what he just told me.’

Although that was why Arianna thought, Franklin did remind her that she had not checked the Tanner residence yet. Since that was the case, she should make sure whether or not they were back there.

"Mom, let's go to Uncle Derrick's house.” After leaving the hospital, the mother-daughter duo got into Arianna's car. Arianna started the engine and was about to drive to her uncle's place when Eloise immediately held her and stopped her.

Eloise shook her head and took out her phone to make a call, "Did they come home? Okay, I understand."

"Your uncle isn't home," Eloise hung up and told Arianna firmly. Arianna had forgotten that her mother had a close relationship with Derrick’s family. It was natural that Eloise had some connections within their family and only had to call to obtain information about them.

‘If Uncle Derrick and Aunt Stephanie didn't go home, where could they be?’

"Mom, since they're not home and they've already left the hospital, this could only mean they've planned this for me. They want to deceive me,” Arianna concluded.

"Don't overthink. Why would your aunt and uncle want to deceive you? Does that mean they were aware of your intentions all along?" Eloise patted Arianna’s hand gently and comforted her, ‘That's probably not the case. It just means that your uncle had taken precautions and deliberately avoided US. Also, I'm curious about something else.”

"What is it?"

"Your uncle, was he truly that sick?" Eloise sighed as she thought about everything that had happened in the hospital. "Or was it all just his plan from the beginning?"

"If that's true, he is a terrifying person.” Arianna could not help but break into a cold sweat as she thought of seeing him acting all feeble and sick. She had even witnessed the doctors performing emergency procedures on him while Stephanie cried a river.

Derrick even went as far as to make a will, and Arianna disrespected him because she thought he was dying.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 872

Arianna was amazed as she connected the dots. She was not Derrick’s initial target but still got caught in the massive web her uncle had weaved. He had been planning this since the beginning.

‘He's a sly and vicious man!'

Arianna was outraged. "Mom, it's fine if Uncle Derrick was genuinely ill, but if not, it'll all be over for me.”

Eloise could see the disappointment in Arianna's eyes. She lovingly held her daughter's hands and said, “Don’t worry. I won't let anything happen to you as long as I'm around.

Don't forget that the Tanner Corporation's president position is still waiting for you, and you will inherit the family's business!"

"Yes, you're right! I'll be the sole successor to the Tanner family business!" Arianna said with determination. However, she knew that even with her mother's help, she would not be able to inherit anything as long as Derrick was still alive.

"Mom, even if Uncle Derrick wasn't sick, it doesn't mean we can't take other measures.”

"What?"

Arianna smacked her lips and decided against it, "Never mind, it's nothing. We're still unsure of the true situation, so let's wait and see.” If Derrick was healthy, she could always make him sick. Since he loved to pretend he was sick, Arianna would ensure he got to play the part forever. There was no one home when the mother-daughter duo returned, which only deepened their unsettled feelings. Joseph did not even go home these past few days, so he was most likely at Elizabeth's.

Eloise honestly did not care about his whereabouts as they had confronted each other. She had already given up hope for this man and could not care less about him. However, things were different now as it involved her daughter's safety and the whole family's. She needed to call Joseph back to discuss matters with him.

The phone rang thrice before someone answered it. A woman's voice sounded, "Hello?"

Eloise's blood boiled when she heard the woman's voice, "Get Joseph to answer the call!"

‘Why should I listen to you? I won't!" Elizabeth mocked Eloise and ignored her request.

Eloise gritted her teeth and said, "Elizabeth, I'm warning you, stop playing games with me. I don't want to waste my time fighting with you. Just get Joseph on the phone. There's something urgent I need to discuss with him.”

‘You're so pathetic. Who said anything about fighting? Your daughter sure is capable. She made sure my son took the fall, so how are you so shameless to call me now? Eloise, I've put up with you for a long time on Joseph's behalf. Now, I'll get back at you for all you've done to me!" Elizabeth snapped back menacingly.

Eloise was fuming, “Don't worry. I'll be waiting, but now's not the time for this. Where is Joseph? Is he dead?"

Elizabeth's sickeningly sweet voice sounded in the background, which only fueled Eloise’s anger. "Joseph, she's asking if you're dead."

Eloise could hear Joseph's voice over the phone, “Tell her not to worry. I'll be sure to die after she does.”

"Did you hear him? So, you should continue spending quality time with your daughter instead of bugging us!" Elizabeth finished and wanted to hang up.

"What I wanted to say has something to do with your son. I'll only say it once, and if you choose to hang up, that's it!" Eloise quickly told Elizabeth her intention before Elizabeth could hang up.

The line on the other side did not go dead, as Elizabeth had chosen not to hang up.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 873

"What do you mean, Eloise?" Elizabeth asked as she picked up the phone again. She was a bit skeptical of what Eloise wanted to relay, but since it involved her son, Elizabeth decided to continue listening.

"Nothing. If you get Joseph to answer the call, I'll talk to him. I won't say anything if you choose not to pass him the phone. Your son has confessed he was responsible for everything, and I've spoken to my lawyer. You'd probably have to wait till he’s 40 for him to get out of prison!"

Elizabeth was frightened by what Eloise had just said. She yelled angrily,” Stop trying to scare me! My son did nothing wrong! You and your daughter are the ones who framed him!" Even though Elizabeth tried to sound harsh, she still passed the phone over to Joseph, saying, "Take it! If she calls again, I'll throw your phone out the window!"

‘What do you want, Eloise?!" Joseph asked impatiently.

"Do you know that your brother left the hospital?" Eloise did not even bother to say hi and went straight to the point.

"He's dead?" Joseph asked.

"He got discharged, not dead!" While Eloise corrected him, she knew Joseph knew nothing about this incident.

‘Well done to Derrick. His acting skills are Oscar-worthy,'’ Eloise thought angrily. She was sure he wasn’t even sick, let alone about to die. It was all just a part of his plan.

"His ward at the hospital was empty. He left two days ago and didn't even return home. Stephanie had disappeared along with him, too, including the people I sent there. Don't you think something is wrong?" Eloise asked.

Joseph was dumbfounded, but when he regained his composure, he said,” I don't care anymore. He most likely has other plans. Let him be then!"

He was exhausted. His son had surrendered to the police and confessed to the crimes, and Joseph could not save him anymore.

As for the company, Arianna had already taken everything away from him. If Damian could not walk away from this, Joseph would no longer be motivated to fight for power.

"Fine, then!" Eloise nodded, "Since you don't care about this family nor the company, you can enjoy the rest of your life with your mistress and precious son. If push comes to shove, we'll all crash and burn!" Eloise threatened and hung up angrily.

Joseph no longer cared about anything, but was his son more important than the Tanner family's future?

"Mom, are you okay?" Arianna had expected this to happen, but because her mother insisted on calling her father, she just stepped back.

"Let's just pretend your father is dead. We'll think of something on our own. The most important thing now is to search for your uncle's whereabouts, and the next is to ensure everyone at the company stays calm. Since you can't get your uncle's shares, it’s best to focus on winning the other shareholders’ favors,” Eloise advised.

"It won't be easy since they're the company's founders. Even though I have some support, most of them had worked alongside Uncle Derrick, so it'll be difficult to win them over." Arianna was well aware of this. That was why she chose to confront her uncle. She needed more of the company shares.

"Interests, silly girl. It all comes down to interests. If you show them you have their best interests in mind, I assure you that you will win their support in the shareholders’ meeting in two days. If that doesn’t work...” Eloise trailed off.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 874

Eloise paused before continuing, "Try your best to gain as many shares as you can, and also try to liquidity those shares into cash, understood?"

"Mom, that's illegal." Arianna's heart skipped a beat after hearing what her mother said.

‘Try your best to do it as cleanly as possible. Make something illegal seem legal," Eloise explained nonchalantly. ‘This was something that frequently happened in the past.

However, you must ensure you do this fast. I'm worried your uncle might be planning something. Make sure you get your people to man the lobby entrance," Eloise instructed.

"Okay, I understand," Arianna replied nervously. It felt like she was preparing for a colossal war.

"Ari, we can only depend on ourselves now. Wait, there's still Nate. I'll ask him to help," Although Eloise could no longer salvage her relationship with her husband, she still had her children, and that was enough.

On the other hand, Joseph sat in a trance after Eloise hung up on him. He could only return to his senses when Elizabeth came over and kicked him.

"Do you miss her now? You can go back anytime! There’s no need for you to show me that face!" Elizabeth snapped angrily.

"What are you raging about now?” Joseph sighed and continued, "El called to inform me that my brother had left the hospital. He and my sister-in-law have disappeared.”

"Oh," Elizabeth replied, "So what? It's not like they're bedridden. Of course, they could leave anytime. Besides, your brother is already so old. Why are you still worried about him?"

"You won't understand even if I told you,” he snapped in annoyance.

Elizabeth was a beautiful and curvy woman. She was a vixen that could make him lose his temper sometimes. Unfortunately,

Elizabeth was not the sharpest tool in the shed, which was her only downfall. Her foolishness could make her seem cute sometimes, but whenever something serious happened, she was just an idi*t who would annoy anyone.

Joseph was feeling that now. After what had happened to Damian, all she did was cry and throw tantrums at him. When Damian surrendered to the police, she pestered Joseph to rescue the kid from prison.

However, she never even considered how they could help Damian and their chances of bailing him out of prison. All she could do was whine. Joseph used to think her antics were cute, but she was getting on his nerves lately, as she was just too naive and dimwitted.

It was moments like these that Joseph would miss Eloise. She would always pay attention to the details and try her best to understand the situation. She often thought of things that would sometimes skip Joseph's mind and help him whenever he was in a pinch.

"You're right! I don't understand anything! I'm not like your wife, so why are you still here? Your son is still in custody, yet you're here worrying about your sick brother? I don't understand you sometimes!" Elizabeth yelled.

"If it weren't for my sick brother, do you think I could provide you with such a lavish lifestyle? To buy luxurious cars and provide you with an extravagant house to live in? Why don't you use your brain for once instead of just crying and throwing tantrums?! If your crying could get Damian out, by all means, keep it up!" He shouted back, stood up, and walked away.

Elizabeth was astounded by his outburst. "What are you doing?! Where do you plan on going?!"

"Elizabeth, let me tell you something. If my brother had set a trap for US, everyone, including you and Damian, would be done for!” He sternly remarked.

Elizabeth was shocked and stood frozen on the spot.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 875

Unlike the Tanner family, Lily's week had been relatively peaceful. The paparazzi had stationed themselves outside her studio but could not get anything on her since she barely left her workplace.

She only traveled back and forth between home and her studio. Moreover, Alexander and Lily had made their relationship public long ago, so the media had even less to dig into. Ultimately, the paparazzi voluntarily left since there was nothing to do.

On the other hand, there was finally news about the Perfumers’ Society, as officials had decided to investigate them. News about them caused a massive stir regarding the society's integrity, such as Lawrence being the society's qualified advisor and whether the other members had accepted bribery during competitions.

This issue had caused public outrage, and officials had no choice but to look into it.

The Perfumers' Society now faced possible dissolution as the public had negative impressions of most of its perfumers. Therefore, some members started to leave while those who applied to enter halted their applications.

As controversies happened left and right in Hyderland, the fashion show at Bryxton city ended with a bang. The show's highlights were the models’ outfits and the four-seasons- themed perfumes they introduced. This line of perfumes was a hit throughout the city.

The perfumes were popular amongst the models, then the public, and eventually became a hit throughout Bryxton City. Even consumers unfamiliar with perfumes started to enquire about them after hearing about them through word of mouth.

The perfumes had an intoxicating smell, and most who had a sniff would instantly fall in love with them. The socialites of Bryxton city were also trying every way possible just to find out the perfumes’ brand so they could purchase them.

"Lilsy, you sure you're not interested in mass producing them? I guarantee they'll be an instant hit with the public!" Lisa went out of her way to call Lily from Bryxton city, trying to change Lily's mind.

"You have no idea how many people have approached me just to ask where I got them. Some were even willing to pay a deposit just to preorder the perfumes. Our company was delighted as your perfumes gave us an amazing opportunity to advertise ourselves!"

‘Your performance in the event was the most vital point. That was the success, not the perfumes,” Lily replied while dipping a strip of paper into her newly made perfume to test it. The perfume gave off a pleasant fragrance that would make one feel relaxed.

"No, that's not it! Even though I acknowledge we did well, I still think your perfumes were the most crucial thing in the event.

We've done fashion shows and received numerous praises in interviews, but this time, everyone focused solely on the perfumes we used. If I may, some might've thought our show was a perfume exhibition."

It was a pleasant and unexpected turn of events.

"Lilsy, are you sure you’re not going to accept orders on this line? I believe Alexander would be able to help with the manufacturing side. You can easily earn some big bucks. Doesn't that sound great?" Lisa continued to persuade Lily.

"I never thought of accepting any other orders. What matters most to me is that you're all happy with my perfumes," Lily chatted with Lisa for a while more before hanging up.

"So, you're not planning to introduce ‘Four Seasons’ to the public? They are such amazing products, and I love them. Honestly, I think they're probably my favorite!" Olivia said while glancing at Lily, "If we sell them, I'm sure the profit will be shockingly good."

"I know,” Lily nodded in acknowledgment, "But doing this just for the profit?"

Olivia was speechless. She could not understand what Lily meant by that.

'If it isn't for profit, then what's it for? Charity?’

"I want to do something more, like a long-term goal, not for some minor profit,” Lily remarked.

'M-Minor?

If they decided to release Four Seasons, Olivia was sure their profit would have nothing to do with the word "minor." However, it was still Lily's product, so she should be the one to call the shots. Therefore, Olivia would not overstep her boundaries.

As Lily was just about to continue talking, her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID, and it was a number she did not recognize. She answered the call, “Hello?’

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 876

"Hello, is this Ms. Lily speaking?’ The person calling spoke to Lily fluently in English.

Lily froze for a moment before nodding. "Yes, this is her."

The caller responded straightforwardly, “I'm calling to inquire about the perfume one of the models from Aisha Agency used in Bryxton City’s fashion show. You were the one who devised and developed the themed series, am I right?”

Lily asked, ‘Where did you get that information?”

Hearing her vigilance, the caller laughed and said, “Ms. Christian, please don't misunderstand. We have no malicious intentions. We're from Grandeur. We're very interested in your perfume and want to discuss a collaboration with you. Do you have some free time?"

"Grandeur?"

‘The world's largest perfume brand and company?’

"That's right. We're the Grandeur you're thinking of. W-We’re not scammers and are interested in your perfumes. Look, can we discuss this sometime?” The Grandeur representative seemed to be able to guess Lily's thoughts.

Lily pondered for a while before replying, “As far as I know, your headquarters is in Bryxton City, correct?”

"Yes, but Ms. Christian, if you don't want to come here, our regional general manager in Hyderland can contact you." The representative was very polite and thoughtful.

Lily's mobile phone was flat on the table, and the voice was loud enough. Olivia was close enough to hear almost everything and covered her mouth in shock while her eyes widened.

‘Oh my gosh! Grandeur is calling?! It's the world's largest perfume brand.’

Many perfumers dreamed of collaborating or working with them, but they were the ones who took the initiative to request a collaboration with Lily. Olivia wondered if Grandeur wanted Lily to be their perfumer.

"Oh, there's no need.” After some thought, Lily continued, "Why don't you just talk about it? What do you want US to work with?"

Olivia placed her palms on her chest, shocked at how Lily spoke. Typically, it was a great honor to work with Grandeur, but Lily refused to meet with them and told the representative to discuss things on the phone. Olivia thought Lily was too courageous.

"Um..." The representative probably did not expect Lily to refuse their offer so quickly. The representative hesitated for a while and then said bluntly, ’ Well, our company intends to collaborate with you in two ways. Firstly, you will join our company with your themed perfume series and become a perfumer for Grandeur.”

"What’s the second?” Lily seemed more interested in the second condition.

The representative did not expect Lily not to be interested in such a favorable condition because most would fail to work with Grandeur, no matter how many people tried. "Ms. Christian, let me remind you that we are Grandeur."

"I know. You guys are the number one perfume brand,” Lily said, indicating she was not confused. "So, what is the second option?"

"If you're not interested in the first option, you can choose to sell your themed series of perfumes to our company. We're willing to buy its ownership. As for the price...”

"Nope, sorry," Lily said the two words directly.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 877

The representative probably did not expect Lily to refuse directly. They were taken aback for a moment. "Ms. Christian, why don't you consider our offer first?"

This offer was so tempting that the representative believed almost nobody would refuse. However, Lily did not even bother to listen. "Oh, that’s okay. I won't sell them, no matter what the offer is. Thank you for your appreciation, goodbye.”

Lily was about to hang up after speaking neatly. Still, the representative could not help but say another sentence, "Ms. Christian, we appreciate those perfumes, but I hope you also know that no matter how talented you are, you can't do much alone.

"Our company can provide the most powerful platform, and as far as we know, your situation in Hyderland is not doing well. It's hard to say whether you can continue to work in this industry."

"Your company won't have to worry about me. Thank you for your concern, goodbye.” Then Lily hung up without any hesitation.

"Don't you ever consider these things?” Olivia looked at Lily in surprise, thinking Lily had decided too quickly.

After all, this was Grandeur. It was understandable if it was another company that contacted Lily, but that was the world's largest perfume brand, and people worldwide would practically kill to work for them. Olivia would agree without hesitation if she were in Lily's shoes.

However, Olivia was not Lily. After all, Lily's ability was something Olivia could not reach. Lily said, "We've spent countless time, energy, and effort from the idea to developing this themed series. Of course, I might've accepted their offer if it was before, but now... What's the point of building this studio if I accepted their offer?"

In the past, Lily was confused and dared not think about such things. She made perfumes out of love but never thought about what she would achieve in the future. She only understood what she wanted and what she should do under Alexander's guidance and full support.

Lily was no longer the person who hid in the laboratory and was satisfied with developing perfumes. Now, she was capable and ambitious, wanting to achieve more.

Not only did she want to create a variety of charming perfumes, but she also wanted to create her brand, one that could extend beyond Hyderland and be known to everyone worldwide. She wanted a brand that belonged to her and Hyderland.

"Well, although I think it's a pity, I respect your decision!" After thinking for a while, Olivia nodded and continued, "By the way, I heard that kid from the Tanner family had surrendered himself to the police. He even insisted you were involved. I'm afraid the police will..."

The duo heard a siren before Olivia could finish her sentence. The police had already arrived at the door.

"Don't worry.” Lily glanced toward the door and smiled calmly. “I didn't do anything wrong, so I'm not afraid. Help me do what I told you while I go with them. I'll be back soon."

Olivia was still worried at first, but seeing Lily's determination and unhurriedness, Olivia became calmer. She could not help but hold Lily's hand and said, "Well, you must take care of yourself. I'll be here waiting for your news!"

It made sense for Lily not to be worried. She had heard about this matter since Damian surrendered himself. Although Lily was a little surprised, she had never done anything wrong. She did not even know Damian, so there was no need to be afraid that it would involve her.

However, she wondered why Damian did this and how it would benefit him. She did not know Damian before this, so if he wanted to frame her, it could only be for him to get more power or benefits, but he had obviously failed.

He surrendered, took all the blame, and dragged her down. If that were the case, he would not have done this for himself but for others. Lily also wondered who Damian was doing this for.

‘Is it for Arianna? They're only half-siblings, and they don't have a good relationship. Is it for his father?’

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 878

Lily followed the police to the station but did not know much about the current situation.

Since the police knew about her relationship with Alexander, they were very polite, still, she was not fully convicted. The officers took her to a room and served her a cup of hot tea before sitting for interrogation.

"Ms. Christian, we heard from Mr. Damian that he had bribed you. He also accused you of adding harmful ingredients to the Victory perfume. Is that right?” The officer asked.

‘I did no such thing," Lily said lightly, “I don't know him either. Frankly, I didn't know who he was until the Tanner Corporation accused me."

"If you haven't done anything wrong, why did Mr. Damian single you out? Do you have any grudges against Mr. Damian or the Tanners?” The officer asked again.

Lily replied calmly, "No. As for why Mr. Damian accused me, you need to ask him. In addition, I believe all the evidence he listed, including photos and recordings, etcetera, can be used for forensic identification. I have never done it, and I am not afraid of investigation. I have a clear conscience."

Indeed, it was just a routine interrogation, and there was not much solid evidence, as the interrogating officer could only rely on Damian's onesided statement.

There was no other way, so the officer brought Damian up for another round of questioning. "You accused Ms. Christian of adding harmful ingredients to your perfumes. Do you have any evidence? For example, the perfume formula, which she wrote by hand?"

Damian smiled and said disapprovingly, "Why would she be dumb enough to write it by hand and leave evidence behind? Everyone uses computers these days.”

"That means you have no other evidence?" The officer asked.

"Haven't I already given you all the evidence? I am here as a living person. What other evidence do you need? I have already surrendered and pleaded guilty, so why should I accuse her if she hasn't done anything wrong?

"I apologize to my family's business, but I didn't know that what Ms.

Christian had added was harmful. I only told her to add something that would make people addicted to the perfume whenever they smelled it. I didn't know she would add...”

He still gave the same answer no matter how many times the officer asked him about this.

"We cannot convict Ms. Christian without substantial evidence. You must know your sentence will be longer if you speak dishonestly. Do you want to spend the rest of your life in prison?" The officer asked.

The corners of Damian's lips twitched. He was hesitant, but after a short pause, he still nodded heavily. "I did it all. Charge me with my sentence!”

He sounded frank, and his expression was righteous, as if he was trying to be a hero instead of pleading guilty.

"Mr.Damian, don't think you're cool. You're going to jail!”

"I know. I..."

There was a knock on the interrogation room door, and an officer opened it from the outside to look at Damian. Then he signaled the interrogating officer to leave. "Someone bailed Mr.Damian."

"Bail?! How can we release him on bail?!" The interrogating officer looked back in surprise but saw Damian stunned before smiling.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 879

Somehow, someone bailed Damian out of jail.

Nathaniel appeared at the police station wearing a neat suit and looking energetic. "I'm here to bail Mr.Damian out. By the way, I also want to report someone."

‘Who do you want to report?” The officer frowned as he thought the Tanner family was going in circles with this incident. It was so troublesome.

"I want to report Ms. Arianna, the Tanner Corporation's vice president, for threatening Damian to give a false testimony."

The surrounding police officers looked at each other in surprise.

After a while, Damian saw Nathaniel and smiled. When Lily exited her interrogation room, she saw those two and was shocked.

However, everything made sense to her after some thought.

Nathaniel had joined Tanner Corporation, so it was not unusual for him and Damian to get together. It was not a strange thing at first, but suddenly a light flashed in her mind, and many things came together. Everything connected as Lily became more aware of the situation, which she could not piece together before.

‘Ms. Christian, I'm sorry.” Damian walked over and lowered his head to Lily in front of many police officers. "I'm sorry that I accused you!"

Lily was dumbfounded and wondered what tricks Nathaniel was playing this time. She took a step back subconsciously and asked, "What do you want?"

‘I sincerely apologize to you. I didn't intend to frame you, but Arianna threatened me. She told me to do this. I had no choice. So I want to apologize for that!"

Lily looked at Damian and then raised her head to look at Nathaniel standing not far away. He looked calm, not surprised at all, and his eyes fell on her sparsely.

"You mean Arianna ordered you to frame me? Why would she do that? I don't know her that well.” It was not that Lily liked Arianna and wanted to defend her, but she thought something was amiss. She knew it was not as straightforward as Damian said.

Damian framed her but apologized the next moment. It was just a matter of talking, and Lily did not think Arianna had blackmailed Damian.

‘Arianna wanted to take over Tanner Corporation, so she proposed a big project. She was the one who wanted to add harmful ingredients to the perfume, but I didn’t know at that time. She teamed up with the fake perfumer to deceive me.

"After the incident, she threatened me with my mother's safety and forced me to accuse you. She said she would tell her lawyer to put all the charges on you so I could be released as long as I followed her orders, but she lied. She didn't even care about me."

"So, you found your conscience and want to change your confession?"

Damian subconsciously looked back at Nathaniel, scratching his head. "Y- Yes."

Nathaniel approached Damian to stand beside him. He looked at Lily and said, “Arianna planned the whole incident, and you're also a victim. She wanted the highest position in the company, so she did something to the perfumes, and that's when the controversy broke out.

“Arianna sent Damian to prison because she thought he threatened her plans. Then she could become a hero who saved the company by smoothly getting the president position. By the way, Arianna still persecutes and threatens her uncle's family.

"She also teamed up with Noah from the Perfumers’ Society to frame you. She wants to eliminate you as a competitor and advertise Tanner Corporation." Nathaniel made it sound like Arianna was heinous and full of evil, but it was debatable since Lily knew who was truly speaking.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 880

Although Lily did not have a great impression of Arianna, she knew Nathaniel was not a reasonable person either.

"I see. That's how it is." She appeared to have come to a sudden realization and smiled at Damian. 'The Tanner family sounds complicated."

Damian did not know how to respond to that.

"As for you...” Lily looked at Nathaniel and took a step closer to him. While looking into his eyes, she asked, "What's your role in all of this? A helper? An accomplice? Or are you merely seeking justice for him because of the unfairness he went through?"

"I found out about this after getting the evidence, and I don't want to see so many innocent people get dragged into this. That's all. I know you have a deep prejudice against me, but trust me, this time. Arianna was the one who planned this.”

"He’s right!” Damian nodded fervently by the side.

‘It's all because of that woman! If it weren’t for her, I wouldn't have suffered so much and fallen from the top of the pyramid overnight. I wouldn't have gotten criticized or thrown into prison to suffer! It's all because of her!’

"Perhaps you're right.” Lily smiled. "Still, all this is your family’s matter. What does it have to do with me?” When she walked past Nathaniel, she asked again, "What does it have to do with you?”

Damian heard it too, and his heart skipped a beat. "Yeah. What does it have to do with him?" He turned toward Nathaniel and saw him smiling profoundly. Nathaniel said, "You'll find out soon enough.”

Arianna still could not find Derrick's family. She had already used her influence in the dark side of society, but it was to no avail as if his family had just disappeared into thin air.

All of Derrick's houses in Ruby City were empty. Arianna believed they would not have gone out of the country in such a short time. If they did, she would have heard about it. Moreover, Derrick would not leave everything behind after setting up such a big trap for her.

"How's it? Is there still no news yet?” Joseph rushed home in a hurry, asking the mother-daughter duo as soon as he saw them. Eloise was still checking the information as she had a clear idea of how many properties Derrick owned and other details she had collected after all these years. Right now, she was checking to see if they had missed anything.

Arianna was on the phone while she paced back and forth. Eloise just looked up at Joseph upon hearing his voice but said nothing and continued with her task at hand.

"Derrick’s weak, and it's difficult for him to move around. I'm guessing he couldn't have gotten far," Joseph contributed his opinion.

Eloise just scoffed. "Do you even know your own brother? Do you honestly think he’s on the verge of dying? Let me tell you something. I suspect this was a trap from the get- go, and he was never sick! In retrospect, how could he suddenly get so sick when he had always been healthy? It's a trap that he set up for our entire family!"

‘That's..." Joseph was so astonished that he stepped back, not expecting to hear all that. Initially, he thought everything would belong to him as his brother was sick. No matter how much they fought or competed, it was behind closed doors and settled between the family members. He did not expect to be in someone else's trap when he had planned so much for this.

"Forget it. I've gathered the company's higher management and shareholders for a meeting. I want to take control of the company and find a solution later. I'm sure he'll show up by then!” Arianna gritted her teeth.

Although she knew this would not solve the problem from its roots, she had to take the risk because she had no other choice.

"B-But..." Joseph wanted to say something, but Arianna's phone rang again.
