The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 131

Alexander’s POV…

We had all had our breaks for the day, with most of us getting filled with food and enjoying some good s*x. Plus, people like Caleb living in their heads to avoid their reality.

We were back to working our butts off towards the night howlers pack purge. I had been feeling nervous since Derek had come over to help hack into Ben and his means of communication.

Carlos and Jason had necessarily been obliged to leave the pack to meet up with Derek in my office, being a closer proximity to where most of the humans stay.

We had left my office to head into the pack where our secret meeting place was and also where the prisoners turning warriors were being trained.

So far, out of about five hundred of them, about four fifty are physically and mentally fit for the journey ahead of us.

“Do you mind leaving your personal life out of this environment and getting your bloody head in the game?” I muttered towards Caleb when Jason had been calling out to him to check on the map outs for the attack to take place tomorrow.

Instead, Caleb had been so lost in thought. Carlos had been the one to shake him back to reality.

“I’m trying.” He argued

“This ain’t you, man. If you don’t get your f*****g head cleared in the next few seconds. I will throw you out, and you know how humiliating that will be.” Of course, I didn’t say that out loud, but I communicated with him through the mind portal.

Caleb is my friend, and having to rebuke him in front of people like Carlos, who seemed to enjoy seeing Caleb in misery, was wrong. It was always fun to watch Caleb get roasted, though.

Rubbing his eyes, he sat up, switching focus from zero to hundred. This was what I respected about Caleb. He knew just when to let some things go and get his head in the game. He had helped me scale through Sonia’s betrayal through that technique.

“How many of our tools are ready to get a hold of them?” Caleb asked, looking toward Carlos, who seemed to be in charge of getting the supposed weapons.

“What’s the bone of contention here now?” Jason asked

I rubbed at my jaw, staring ahead at nothing. “We need to weaken Ben’s prowess by capturing half of his men who can enable him some easy direct access into the night howler’s terrain. That way, we can fortify our warriors by getting them more prepared.”

“What then happens to all of them? If they could pull a front during Ben’s escape, don’t you think they can do so again?” Carlos inquired.

He did have a point, but I looked toward Caleb to give a response to it. We had both been making speculations on how to go about it.

Caleb cleared his throat, “maybe you didn’t know this, but the night howlers have an underground dungeon where those who betray the alpha and the pack, in general, are kept in. It is so secured only a few people know about it.”

“If you know, how about Ben knowing too?” Asked Jason.

“The good thing about it was Ben had been too preoccupied with too many things to put his mind on it. Moreover, getting our hands on these people implies us having a stronger force to keep the pack safe.” I told them.

“Would you be there with us tomorrow?” Carlos asked.

I had been asking myself the same damn question since the previous day. If I wasn’t still trying to act crippled, I should be joining them to ensure that those who intend to see my death are dealt with well enough. But at the same time, judging by our intended plans. The invaders are not meant to be harmed unless they must have gotten any intel. So, following Caleb’s advice, we had planted spies in all three clans to ensure they did not exchange any secrets that might put us in harm’s way.

Then I remembered something, “talking about clans, what’s going to happen with the kappa clan being in the know?”

“Don’t you think achieving this first feat would give us more room to take care of the other little issues on hand?” Caleb added.

“I guess it’s all good then. How many warriors are being dispatched to the location tomorrow?” I asked, adjusting myself in the chair.

Carlos threw me a pitiful look, and my wolf growled. “If only he knew.”

The thoughts of what people would think of me when the truth of my crippled status eventually comes out to the open jolts my thought every time. It’s not like I really did care what they would say or do; I just knew somehow it wouldn’t sit well with some people, like Edwina.

I had good reasons for doing what I did, though. Sitting in this forsaken chair and spot isn’t all that cool, either. Also, some days my back aches badly from sitting all day and being unable to move around due to people’s presence. So I would wait a little more.

I won’t let anything ruin my plans, not even the continuous pity look.

Caleb rubbed at his head, “200, just in case we encounter any form of attack. That should do, judging by the war tools we have on hand.”

“I really can’t wait for all of this to be over. Ben has messed with our heads enough.” Jason gritted.

“All we need to do is remain tactful, and everything else will fall into place.” Replied Carlos.

“I would like to head back to my office now,” Caleb said,

To brood again. I wanted to say it to him, but I thought better. Acting cheesy would only get him riled up. They all went out, Carlos and Jason whispering between themselves. I could get they were trying to figure out what was wrong with Caleb. He was just too obvious.

The room fell quiet, rummaging through my head for any other thing that I had forgotten to mention. It all seems to be working out fine at the moment; all we needed was to get these traitors at the temporary war field.

I can’t wait to usher tomorrow in.

The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 132

Authors POV…

Twirling the rum bottle in his hand, he kept snickering at the thought of him laying his hands on what he considered his long lost treasure.

John heaved, taking a seat on the bed. He looked around the hotel room with disgust. This wasn’t what he had planned for himself; his intention was to start a whole new life and get as many girls as he could to play with. But, instead, Sonia just had to ruin everything for him.

A crooked smile played on his lips as the happening of the past day came back to mind. To think that the moon goddess has some keen interest in his plans amused him. He had only applied to the said site for a young lady between the ages of eighteen to twenty. Thoughts on how much he would screw his counterpart to ease off the stress his mind had been in his head for weeks. Every day, he kept trying to figure out a way to get to Sonia and just end it all for him to keep up with his life.

But he knew trying to penetrate the pack house was the hardest thing to do, being a single person.

“Athena!” He mused with satisfaction.

The girl was awesome with her skills in bed, and he had enjoyed every bit of her. He grinned widely at the thought of the moon goddess blessing him with her. If they hadn’t been foolish enough at the pack house to keep calling her line, he would have never thought to see the day come.

All he needed to do was make the girl feel comfortable enough around him. Then, she would be able to divulge some secret passes well known to all packhouse members but him. Now that he got a chance, he had no intention of letting it slide through his hands without doing what he needed to do.

Picking up his phone from the bed stand, he dialed her line.

“Hey, cutie.” He bellowed with his daring voice into the receiver the moment she picked.

Athena almost squealed with delight at the name that turned up on her phone. She had been thinking if it wasn’t a big mistake that she had relayed her adventure with the strange man to her friend. It was a rule to not exchange contact with the supposed client. But in her excitement to share her day, she dialed her friend to give her a full rundown of how it all went.

On second thought, she wished the man would keep to his promise to call her. He seemed like the type one would make enough money from.

Her eyes had been on the Luna and ex-luna. It still sounds crazy to her that both of them are siblings. Seeing how hard it was for Sonia to move on the sprained leg, a pang of guilt rushed through her every time she saw her struggle, knowing it was partly her fault.

Excitement made her nerves shake as she looked around to excuse herself from the garden. Then, picking up the call, she had to take a long deep breath before responding to his voice that had sent some electric waves through her.

“Hey.” She replied back.

“How are you doing today?”

“Fine, thank you.” Athena had her lips in her mouth, tormenting it with her teeth.

John paused for a while to let his presence sip into her subconscious. He could tell he was anxious at hearing from him. That was one thing he learned to do while dealing with young girls her age. All he needed to ensure was control, and everything else he had in mind will fall into place.

“You there?” Athena whispered into the receiver like she was scared that raising her voice would send him running.

Smiling to himself, John coughed a little “I want you to come over….” He let his words hang in the air, not wanting to be the one to give a time when she would come to him. He needed to sound disinterested a bit.

Athena’s heart raced like one in a middle of a relay race. She couldn’t help to think the man had actually called her again. This time, she made a silent promise to herself to not let the opportunity pass her by running her mouth.

“I can’t come today; my mistress sprained her leg while I was away yesterday. Can I still come by tomorrow?”

John’s mind spun, wondering what could have gotten Sonia injured. She has never been careless with herself, too obsessed with her body.

“What happened to her?” He asked

“She moved a bit too fast and sprained her leg.”

“Oh.” He muttered, not like he really did care. Then, returning his mind to the matter on hand, “so, is that a promise? Should I expect you tomorrow?”

“Yes, I would surely come around.”

“Bye then. See you soon.” He said to her, hanging up.

Athena practically leaped off where she stood; it was like a dream come true; the goddess had sent over a man to her. If this went on for a while, they might end up getting married, She thought to herself.

Chiding her heart for thinking so wildly already, she had never been a fan of guys in her peer group or about ten years older. More older men interested her the most, and she had taken a particular liking to this one.

Going back to the garden, when her mistress Sonia and Luna Edwina were having a nice picnic, she felt a bit jealous. At one time, she had heard both sisters were at loggerheads with each other, but judging by what she was seeing, she could bet they never had a single day of feud.

Moving closer to them, she bowed her head lightly. “I would like to seek for a day to visit my mother, please.”

Edwina gasped a bit, “I am really sorry, Athena. I had almost forgotten you said your mother was ill.”

“You should go to her,” Sonia responded, leaning her body into the wheelchair she was in and rubbing her belly slowly.

Smiling widely, Athena bowed hurriedly, “thanks, luna, thanks, madam Sonia.”

They both dismissed her, Edwina promising her sister she would come to look after her while Athena went away for the entire morning.

Grinning to herself, Athena sighed in delight. The moon goddess definitely was smiling wide upon her.

The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 133

Alexander’s POV…

We have everything ready, from the trap nets to arms, just in case. I have never felt as anxious as I am feeling at this moment. Different negative thoughts keep crossing my mind. Thoughts of if we are still on the right track and if no one has sold us out yet.

Discreetness had been our watchword, but at the same time, I had been betrayed once right under my nose. Yet, as skeptical as I was, Caleb resulted in standing firm in the resolve that we would do great and come out victorious.

I have been awake since the early hours of the morning, running my hand through my crotch. These were moments I wished Edwina could come with me everywhere I went to ease up the accumulated stress my mind and body were going through.

Standing up from the bed, I stretched my legs towards the window; it felt good to exercise the legs. Unfortunately, I had been straining it too much by keeping it cramped.

Soon enough, I would come out of my shell just when the time was right. Despite knowing, Caleb acted like he had never come across my truth. I should have kept him by my side instead of Ben.

However, our tradition didn’t give room for deprivation, only if the person eventually acted the way Ben did. He was good at masking his emotions and thoughts; it never crossed my mind to invade his mind. He was my most trusted person and best friend.

I sighed deeply, checking the time on my phone. It was almost four am, just in time for us to start moving. The time had been specifically chosen to avoid any suspicion. It’s certain that such meeting that involves being discreet would either hold in the early hours of the morning or late at night when the whole pack must have slept.

As playful as Carlos might be, his sense of reasoning is amazing. Before I became the alpha, my father had taught me to never think on my own and act on it. Confiding in others and listening to what they have to say was the best option for leading right.

Checking the time again, my heart almost jumped out of my rib cage. I was ready and knew Caleb would soon come to get me.

Moving reluctantly from the window, I went to settle myself into the wheelchair, waiting for the door to be knocked. Almost as if on cue, I heard a rasping knock on my door. Rolling my eyes, I moved towards the door. Only Caleb knocks like that.

“Can’t I get some beauty sleep in? Why are you always showing up to rip me off it?” I taunted.

As usual, he didn’t give me a response; he glared at me. I had almost forgotten he was still reeling through the multiple heartbreaks he might get soon.

“You should learn to be respectful towards your alpha.” I snickered.

I could hear him sigh in resignation before bowing a bit.

“Satisfied now?” He murmured, walking around me to push the wheel.

I faked a gasp, “I almost thought you had gone deaf.”

“How do you even make jokes in this sort of situation?” He wondered, sounding exhausted

“The atmosphere is too tense. We aren’t going to war.” I tried to assure myself more than him.

“We are still not certain about it all.”

Not wanting to indulge in the conversation that was already giving me jitters, I switched, “the soldiers you appointed to the location, are they all there now?

He got the message, “yes, I made Carlos affirm their movement.”

“It will be fine,” I told him reassuringly.

“I trust your instincts,” Caleb replied, pressing the elevator opening.

Getting to the hotel parking lot, Carlos and Jason were already waiting by the bus that would convey us. Derek was inside the bus, trying to ensure that the message he sent was being adhered to.

“Derek,” I called out to him as we all got into the car. Jason was driving with Carlos next to him.

Caleb and I were in the back seat with Derek.

“Good morning, sir. How are you feeling today?” He sounded excited.

“Good, I guess,” I responded, uncertain of what sort of answer he needed.

“Well, you should be. The men you want are heading right where you need them right now. Half of them have arrived.”

“You put a tab on their movement?” I asked, surprised.

Derek nodded toward Caleb, “after I had hacked their encryption code that day. Caleb had asked me if I could track all of them and keep note of their calls. I had been reluctant at first, thinking there was no point. But, I was proved wrong when this line….” He pointed at something on his screen, like a greenery map view of a place. A red light-like notification kept blipping.

“What’s that?” I asked.

“That’s the call that keeps coming into this phone….” He raised Jared’s phone up. “Consistently in the past days.”

“Can you figure out where the call is coming from?” Caleb questioned.

Typing hurriedly on his keyboard, Derek smiled widely. “It says here that sizzlers or whatnot.”

I smirked, realizing that Ben was about to catch on. He has been reaching out to his underlings to no avail.

“But why this line alone and not the others?” Carlos chipped in.

“Well, it’s all because I had that particular line disconnected from reaching out to them. I only kept this person’s own in order to know how his moves were. And I must say he isn’t thinking smart one bit.” Derek was obviously gloating about how good and thoughtful he was.

In actual truth, he has done really well. As we neared the hill, Jason had to keep the headlight off to avoid any suspicion from the intended captives. He rode in through the back hill, where our soldiers had mounted.

Staring into space as we got down, I rubbed my hands together “it’s showtime!” I announced to the boys.

The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 134

Ben’s POV…

I love how easily Malia rides every length of my d**k. She does it like a belly dancer. Aside from Sonia and Edwina, I have never come close to f*****g the same woman every chance I get. She makes me go wild. All I want to do is f**k her till the day ends.

She had sneaked over in the early hours of the morning. I had been working all day, trying to find a better way to penetrate the night howler’s pack. After working my butt off, I needed to get off some steam. I didn’t know if it would work or not. It was past midnight. But I still dropped a call, and within thirty minutes, she was here pumping her p***y with my d**k.

Feeling too lazy, I asked her to do all of the work. After sucking my d**k, she balanced herself on it, grinding all her insides. As nice as the romp felt, something keeps nagging at my mind. It’s been about a week, and I haven’t been able to reach Jared. Which was unlike him.

Every week, he updates me on what the pack’s move was three days of it. I needed him to gather the rest of our men in the pack. Since the alpha bethel has decided to play out all of his life, I couldn’t take such a risk and wait till the night howlers catch me unawares.

The intended plan was to attack in a few days’ time by beginning from the inside walls of the enemies. They wouldn’t have seen it coming, and everything would be in ruins before I came along.

However, it wasn’t going in the slightest way I had envisioned. Something clicked in my head as I thought of another means to communicate with them. I have the contacts of those in Ally with me stacked away in case of emergencies such as this.

Putting my hands on Malia’s waist, she looked so excited, thinking I wanted to go rough on her. To her disappointment, I had her seated on the next side of the bed.

“What, why did you lift me up?” She asked, looking pained.

I stood up, walking towards the bathroom. “I need to urgently take care of some things.”

“Really?” I could feel her grit her teeth. She was about to climax when I had gotten her out of my d**k.

Ignoring her, I entered the bathroom, cleaned myself up, and found something comfortable to throw on in the closet. When I got out, she still sat naked, her eyes following me around the room.

“I risked my head coming out here to meet you in the middle of the night. Knowing there is so much tension between the pack and the night howlers, you can’t even ease me by not acting so chauvinistic.”

She was angry, I know, but having a bitch talk to me like that. That wasn’t going to be me; no one disrespects me, no one.

I moved stealthily towards her, keeping my eyes locked with hers. I bent a few inches from her face, roughly grabbing her by the jaw.

“You listen to me, bitch. I don’t take orders from anyone, not even you! I don’t care how sweet and enticing your p***y is; it’s got nothing on me. Don’t ever raise your voice at me ever again! That might be the last time you breathe. Don’t mess with me.”

I expected her to be really scared, but this bitch stared right at me with no ounce of fear in her eyes.

“Fiesty!” I thought. Getting turned out by her refusal to get intimidated by me. That was something I could hardly get from a woman. Even Sonia does gets scared sometimes.

I couldn’t help letting out a short laugh, “you really aren’t scared, are you?”

She rolled her eyes, snorting. That only got my wolf more excited. Working my fingers through her nipples, I snapped at them. Her gasp was short and sharp.

Smirking, I dipped my hand into the jogger pants I had on. My d**k was hard from her little reaction; her eyes shimmered as she saw its full glory. Without warning, her mouth had wrapped itself around my c**k. Holding onto her hair, I threw my head back. Malia is a crazy bitch, no doubt. Our partnership would last for a long while, no doubt about that.

Remembering I had something urgent to attend to, I deprived her of the d**k, taking it away from her mouth. She almost pouted, motioning with my hand for her to turn around and bend her back a bit. I then knelt on both sides of her legs, positioning my d**k on the outside of her p***y. Bending her further a little bit. I thrust fast and hard into her, and she let out a loud m**n that turned me on more.

For every thrust, she took it all in like it was her last supper. Shooting back her butt to take every of me in. To amuse myself, I didn’t hold on to her anymore, and she worked her a*s on me, sliding in and out with so much vigor. She drives me nuts.

Trying not to fall behind my intended schedule, I grabbed her waist and began f*****g her really hard and fast. Her hair flew to every side of the room as she m****d loudly. They certainly would have heard her if my chambers weren’t a bit farther from the rest of the pack house. Not like I cared.

Ramming all of me into her, I increased the pace as I almost reached my peak. She stretched her hands behind; this lady had the longest hands I had ever seen. Slamming me inside her butt, my d**k touching her core only made me climax so fast it was amazing.

I breathed hard as I rolled on the bed. She didn’t look like she had just been pumped. Instead, she sat with one of her thighs up and the other down, resting herself on her hands.

Regaining my strength, I stood up, tapping at her cheek lightly. “you are a crazy one.”

Malia flicked her tongue over her lips. “So, I hear.”

Bending a bit, I gave her a quick k**s. “I need to get some work done. Would get to you later.”

She nodded, laying back on the bed and wrapping the duvet around herself.

Heading out of the room towards the study, I wondered what the hell was up with f*****g Jared.

The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 135

Alexander’s POV…

The number was unbelievable. If I had been told that I had almost half of the pack members being allies with Ben, I would have thwarted the saying. But, right here in my face beneath the hill we hid behind were night howler’s pack members who had chosen to betray their homeland for a traitor.

Anger simmered through me at the thought of how insensitive they were. I was still their alpha, and they had the audacity to go behind my back and betray me in such a manner. I understand their excuse was my being unable to walk. But joining hands with Ben to destroy not just me but the entire pack was so unreasonable.

I balled my hands into a fist, angry at myself and mostly Ben. Ben, for being a two-faced cheating bastard. For deciding to be an irresponsible friend and beta, including being selfish and nonchalant towards the betterment of the pack.

“What’s wrong?” Caleb asked, his face creased in worry.

“I just can’t understand why any of them would be so keen on selling the pack off to a traitor like Ben..” I mused

“Some of them are indebted to Ben one way or the other, and the other part of them are trying to protect their families by joining hands with who they consider the protector. You know why they think you can’t protect them….” He looked towards my stilled legs to make emphasis.

I know what was running through his mind, but I wasn’t ready to answer that yet.

“Still, I’m not so redundant to be unable to protect them. I have able-bodied soldiers like yourself and the others.” I argued.

Caleb sighed, looking towards the expectant men who seemed excited to see their master. “They are only seeking protection, and these people have been brainwashed into believing what they see.”

I scoffed in irritation, not wanting to believe they would act so insensibly like that. Someone like Ben has nothing to do with them. He only needs them as a front to get what he wants.

I sighed, feeling pity toward my people. As the alpha, my job is to protect them. But that doesn’t seem like the case, and I feel incompetent at this point.

Inhaling, I looked up at Caleb. “Do you have plans to use guns on them?”

“If they act too resistant. We just might.”

“Shouldn’t we try our possible best to change their mind?”

“I don’t think we can right now, alpha Xander. Until all of this is over, we need to be diplomatic as much as we can.”

He was right, as much as I wouldn’t want to waste the life of about two hundred of my pack members. There is a need to be logical in thinking.

“We are ready.” Carlos and Jason announced as they walked back to meet with us.

Caleb nodded towards them, ” I guess we can attack now.”

“Yes.” Carlos stood still like he still had something to say. “Shouldn’t we let them know it’s us?”

“And have them run off? When we know we don’t want an actual fight?” Jason was the one who responded.

“Thank you so much, Jason. Please help tell him.” Caleb sneered towards Carlos more, and a bit side glared towards me.

I almost threw my hands up in surrender. Caleb would surely get a black eye from me one day soon. Signaling at Caleb, he nodded towards Carlos and Jason, who made signals to their men. Then, all from nowhere, trap nets began to fly around. Different howls of men rang all through the woods.

The intention is to incapacitate them. The area had been well surveyed; it’s totally a death sentence for whoever tries to run off. Watching about fifteen to twenty of them muddled in each net looked like an actual circus. There was no way they were getting an escape in such a compromising stance.

“Shall we?” Caleb asked me, motioning towards them.

My speech had eluded me, and their number had gotten me really perplexed. I was shocked at their large turnout. But the night howler’s pack is large, and I’m not so surprised that happens.

I almost asked Caleb what I was supposed to say to them. But knowing how crazy he is, he could give me a sarcastic comment that would have me spiraling. That young man was surely going to get it one day. Not just at this moment.

When the trapped men sighted us, the look on their faces was that of shock and pain. No doubt, it was the end of the road for them all.

“It’s so nice to see you all here.” Caleb smiled half-heartedly, a devilish smile.

One of them, whose mouth wasn’t trapped in someone’s a*s or armpit, was the first to speak. “H..how…cou….could….y…y…you bri….bring us down here with such a trick?” I wanted to assume he was a stammerer. But considering the smell of different asses and armpits in the net, there was no way one would be able to talk normally.

“I should ask you all why you decided to betray your home, all for a false protection,” I responded.

The same person was the one to speak again, ” what can a crippled Alpha do for us? All you ever did was sit on that wheelchair…..” Couldn’t believe he had finally found his voice. “…a whole alpha got his wife stolen from him, and she got pregnant with the same man. How does that speak well of you as a leader?” The other trapped men g*****d in response.

I felt the urge to pick up a piece of stone and throw it at him, but I don’t have anger issues. I wanted to show off badly by standing up from the wheelchair to let them know they were all saying trash.

However, I can’t sell myself short; there was a need for me to stay calm till the very end. So, looking away, I ignored their bants.

“Have them all locked up in the deepest part of the dungeon, and no one else, aside from us and the soldiers used today, should be aware,” I ordered Caleb.

Looking up into the beautiful morning sky, I saw it was almost morning.
