Ch. 1831..1840

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1831-Bethany's unbearable sarcasm drained all the color from Carrie's face, and her frail figure trembled even harder.

She immediately shut her eyes tight, squeezing the teddy so much it changed shape. This was the only way she could force herself not to recall those terrifying memories. "Even if you can't marry into the Hoffman family, you can still choose to become Mayor Solloway's daughter-in-law. Let me congratulate you in advance."

Bethany tidied her hair in that flirtatious, vulgar manner she inherited from Shannon. "However, I don't have a gift for you." Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ (F)indNƟvᴇl.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

"If you say another word, I'll make sure your right ear is completely deaf."

Justin's eyebrows furrowed with anger, and his dark eyes were burning with rage.

"I can't even speak the truth now? She's about to marry into the Solloway family.

It's useless even if you glare at me here!"

The man was like a tiger, approaching Bethany step by step.

"Ah! Help me! Dad! Save me! Justin is about to kill me!" Bethany made a scene, screaming and yelling.

"Enough! What are you fighting about?!"

Gregory stood halfway down the stairs, angrily glaring at the two people confronting each other, his face stern. "Dad! Justin wants to hit me again… He only knows how to hit women!"

Bethany cried out, "He might as well beat me to death!"

"Enough!"

Gregory frowned deeply, only feeling his head throb from the noise. "Paul, send her to the airport immediately!" "Yes, Chairman Salvador."

Paul glanced at Bethany coldly. "Please."

Bethany gritted her teeth viciously as she struggled to drag her heavy luggage out of the door.

Gregory still felt a twinge of pity as he ordered, with a stern face, "Help Ms.

Bethany with her suitcase."

"Yes." Paul could only follow orders, lifting the suitcase and heading out.

"Thank you, Dad! Goodbye!" Bethany put on a pitiful act and said goodbye to Gregory, secretly harboring a glimmer of hope.

Her father still had a bit of affection for her, so she could still make a comeback!

After Bethany left, Justin suppressed the surging anger in his chest and walked to Gregory with heavy steps.

"Bethany just said that the Solloway family came to propose marriage. Is it true?"

Gregory looked down at him. "Of course."

Justin's brows furrowed. "Mayor Solloway's son wants to marry Carrie? Did you agree?"

"It's a suitable match. The Solloways have considerable influence in the political world, and I've seen his son before. He was fine-looking and had excellent character. Ha, he's much better than Ryan Hoffman.

Gregory's thin lips, like Justin's, curled up sharply, carrying a hint of provocation. At the very least, Jason does not have a playboy reputation for treating women like clothes.

Mayor Solloway and his wife don't mind Carrie's illness, and they are willing to accept her as their daughter-in-law. Why wouldn't I agree to such a good marriage prospect?"

Carrie hid behind Justin timidly, burying her pale face covered with sweat. Her reddened eyes gradually teared up.

When they were in school, Jason did not beat her or curse at her as Zoe did. However, the mental trauma he Ston her was more tormenting the physical torture.

Carrie could still remember that whenever Zoe's group bullied her C Jason would be standing guard or secretly smirking at her with that weird intention.

One summer, the second year of junior high, the school issued new summer uniforms.

Out of jealousy that Carrie looked better than her, Zoe dragged her into the sports equipment room and poured a bucket of dirty mop water on her. Zoe only left with satisfaction after ruining Carrie's new uniform.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1832-Carrie curled up in the dusty corner, shivering in the cold despite it being the height of summer.

At this moment, Jason, who had been silent all the time, walked to Carrie. He took off his uniform jacket and draped it around her shoulders as he squatted down.

She was about to thank him when she realized that he was staring straight at her soaked chest.

The young lady was just entering puberty, so her small breasts were faintly visible. Her white bra could be seen through her soaked shirt.

Carrie screamed faintly in panic as she covered her chest with trembling arms.

"Carrie, let me touch it, okay? Just once. Nobody will know about it."

The boy sputtered vile and offensive words with a sincere tone, much like a demon's murmur.

When she recalled it now, Carrie still felt as if she were falling into an icy lake, a chill spreading throughout her body.

"I know why you are so desperate to marry Carrie off."

Justin clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white. "If you're mad, you can come at me. As a parent, you shouldn't sacrifice your daughter's lifelong happiness for a moment of satisfaction!"

"Justin, have you learned how to insult people in a roundabout way from that Thompson girl? You're villainizing my good intentions!" Gregory pointed at Justin's face angrily. "Carrie is my daughter. Why will I harm her? All of my choices are for her own good!"

Justin sneered without hesitation, "You're thinking about your own future.

Entering into a marriage alliance with the Solloways would benefit the Salvador family and you."

The air froze, dropping to an icy point.

Gregory's face went from red to white. His son tore away his mask, which only added to his anger.

He roared, "That's still better than the man you found for Carrie!"

Carrie closed her eyes tightly, tears welling up.

"Now, everyone in Savrow knows about Carrie and Ryan. My daughter has already been bullied miserably by them, and she still has to become the talk of the town, being pointed at every time she goes out. This is the good match you arranged for her! This is what your best friend has done!"

Justin's face was cold. He knew Gregory would use this to criticize him harshly.

Ryan and Carrie were deeply in love. Ryan was innocent, but the sins of the Hoffman family could not be erased or debated.

"You sent my daughter, your weakest sister, into that lair full of tigers and lions. She suffered humiliation and schemes before even marrying into their family! Do you think so lowly of your sister? What's wrong with a marriage alliance with the Solloways? She's not at a disadvantage!

"At the very least, the Solloways are powerful and noble, unlike the Hoffmans, who are a family of gangsters! Logan built his empire with the mafia. What decent grandson could he raise? I think Ryan is just following in Logan's footsteps!"

Gregory was so mad that he spoke without a filter, saying whatever came to his mind.

"Dad! Enough… Stop talking about Ryan like that!"

Carrie could not endure it anymore. Tears streamed down her face. "Ryan has always been good to me. He never mistreated me! We've already broken up, and I'm not with him anymore. Don't talk about him like that!"

"Carrie…" Justin felt a pang of pain in his heart, rendering him speechless.

Ryan and Carrie had gone through so much to be together, but now that they were about to find happiness, everything went back to the starting point.

Why did fate have to toy with these lovers? What did they do wrong?

Seeing his usually obedient daughter talk back to him, Gregory's face went pale.

After hearing that she had broken up with Ryan, his expression eased. He said patiently. "It's good you broke up.

unfaithful in their blood. Their affection is all an act. He can'tel.net it up forever. It's nothing to mull over.

You will only find true happiness if you follow my arrangements.

'I will never agree to Carrie marrying that man!" Justin's eyes burned with fury. "He has something going on with Zoe and might be up to no good either. You keep saying Hoffman family is a lair of beasts, but is the Solloway family paradise? You're only usi Carrie as a tool to gain benefits!"

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1833-"You won't agree?" Gregory tugged at his lips coldly, his disdainful gaze nothing like that of a father looking at his son. "Justin, I'm not dead yet, but you're already thinking of replacing my role? If I didn't give you the chance, could you become the president of the Salvador Corporation? You're getting too full of yourself."

Facing Gregory's mockery, Justin felt more worried for Carrie.

If Carrie's marriage with Jason Solloway was set in stone, Justin found it hard to imagine what kind of crazy things Ryan would do upon finding out.

Perhaps he would choose to go down with the Solloways, or perhaps he would be devastated beyond recovery.

Carrie was not a girl like Bella, who had a heart of stone and the courage to fight back. She was always the family's most obedient child, accepting whatever came her way.

Moreover, she was the one who wanted to break up with Ryan.

"Your brother is only sick, not dead. Don't think that just because you're the president and your grandfather dotes on you, you can rest easy and be arrogant. You even dared to oppose me and defied my decision again and again!" Gregory's tone carried a hint of threat. "A few days ago, I visited Grant in Meridan, and his complexion looked much better."

Justin's brows furrowed, his dark and sharp eyes narrowing slightly.

"Grant told me that when he feels better, he will come home and reunite with us." Gregory raised his chin, his words hidden with malice.

"Your grandfather and I have always valued the eldest most. Grant has merely been away from us for too long, being more or less estranged, so you had the chance to show off in front of your grandfather. When Grant comes home, your grandfather will naturally make it up to him out of guilt. At that time, think about whether the Salvador Corporation would still have a place for you!"

Late at night, lan came to see Justin with information about the Hoffman Group.

Clouds of mist swirled in the study as Justin's calloused fingertips held a cigarette, flipping through the pages while frowning, his gaze deep and dark, laced with unreadable emotions. Seeing that the ashtray was about to be full, lan could not help sighing worriedly. "Mr. Salvador, I know you're in a bad mood, but smoking while feeling depressed might kill your sperm…" The man suddenly raised his eyes, glancing at lan with an icy gaze. "Are you a sex expert now? Or a know-it-all?"

"Ahem… I don't know. Forget I said anything."

lan sighed, "Young Madam hates the smell of smoke, and you know it. I'm afraid she will be mad at you when she smells it on you tonight."

"I'm staying at Tideview Manor for a few days to accompany Carrie. I've told her about it." S~ᴇaʀᴄh the Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Justin recalled the image of his wife putting her hand on her hip, pursing her rosy lips as she pouted at him. His heart started pounding, and his body burned up.

How he wanted to immediately pull Bella into his arms, pin her beneath him, and engage in an intimate session…

"Mr. Salvador, your mood must've been terrible today. You would never secretly smoke behind Young Madam's back unless things were really bad." lan asked with concern, "What happened?"

"lan, this information has no problem. Send it to Ryan later." Justin's voice was indifferent.

"Yes…" Since his boss refused to speak, lan did not press further.

"Also, assign your current workload to others and focus on investigating the Solloway family."

"The Solloway family? Which one?"

Justin's brows furrowed. "Percy Solloway."

lan's eyes widened. "The mayor?"

"Percy Solloway, his wife, and his son, Jason Solloway. I want everything you can get on them."

Just as his voice fell, a soft knock came at the door. "Justin, are you there?"

"It's Carrie."

Justin quickly got up and hurried over to open the door.

Outside, the young lady stood timidly in the dim lights, her fingers intertwining tightly.

"Carrie, it's late at night. Why aren't you asleep yet?" Justin asked gently.

Carrie pursed her lips. "Justin, can I talk to you?"

"Of course. Come in."

Justin invited his sister in, and lan left temporarily to give the siblings some privacy.

Carrie, don't take what Dad said today seriously. No matter what, h won't let you marry into the Solloway family; and your sister-in-law will not … "

"Justin."

Before he could finish his words, Carrie lowered her head and

interrupted him softly. "You and Annie have done a lot for me it's enough From now on, don't worry H about me anymore."

Justin's heart skipped a beat. "Carrie, what do you mean?"

A lump formed in Carrie's throat, and she blinked hard to hold back her tears. will listen to Dad's velinene arrangements. I'll marry into the Solloway family."

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1834-"Carrie, what kind of joke is this?!"

Justin, usually calm and steady, lost his cool. He gripped Carrie's shoulders tightly. "Marriage is not a joke. It's about your lifelong happiness! Do you know what kind of person Jason is? Didn't you see him acting intimately with Zoe last time? Aren't you afraid this is another scheme by Zoe?!"

Carrie let him shake her, her tears streaming down her face.

"Do you really not love Ryan anymore? Look at me and tell me… Do you really not love him anymore?" Justin furrowed his brows, questioning persistently.

"Justin, I've grown up. I'm not the child who locks herself in the room every day, hiding from people, only having dolls and drawing paper as accompaniment."

Carrie's voice was gentle, but her attitude was determined. "I know what I'm doing, and I know what I want…"

Justin's voice trembled. "Marrying Jason is what you want?"

"Since I can't be with Ryan, it doesn't matter who I marry." S~ᴇaʀᴄh the FindNøvᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

"Who said that you couldn't be with him? Ryan loves you deeply. He could give up everything for you! As long as you stay by his side…"

"Justin, I'm tired."

Carrie lowered her eyes wearily and shook her head. "If Ryan lost his family because of me and even abandoned his position as the heir of Hoffman Group, I will feel guilty all my life. Even if I'm with him, I won't be happy.

"If I marry into the Hoffman family, I might not have a peaceful day. I'm scared…

I'm more afraid of troubling Ryan and causing Yasmin to get hurt. Breaking up is the best for both of us." Justin loosened his hand gradually, the bitterness burning his throat, rendering him speechless.

That day, after Yasmin returned the hairpin to Ryan, he fell seriously ill, overwhelmed by grief and anxiety. He even vomited blood on the spot.

After checking up at the hospital, he was diagnosed with severe gastric disease due to his irregular schedule and frequent social drinking.

In the past, it was merely stomach pain, which happened when he was the busiest, so Ryan always endured it with pills.

But now, his condition has worsened, so he had to be hospitalized.

Nobody knew about this except Yasmin and Dean.

Ryan had officially assumed the position of Hoffman Group's CEO, but he failed to appear on time for the first executive meeting.

In the conference room, Logan sat at the head of the table, looking at the empty seat beside him with displeasure.

"Our new CEO is not showing up for the first meeting? How arrogant…"

"What do you expect? The Prince of Savrow isn't just a nickname. Now that he has successfully seized power, he might not take the Chairman seriously anymore."

"It's too early to celebrate. Liam merely lost the battle. He's not dead. If Ryan kept this act up, it might piss Chairman Logan off, and the CEO's position might become Liam's again." Listening to the criticisms directed at Ryan, Liam's lips could not help curling into a grin.

Under the table, he texted Zoe.

[Liam: My dear niece, I really have to thank you properly for this.] [Zoe: Uncle Liam, you're too kind.] [Liam: It's a pity we couldn't drag that brat down from the CEO's position. The old geezer still prefers him. What a pity…] [Zoe: Uncle Liam, you can't be too hasty. You lost to Ryan because you were always impatient and eager. I heard that, it's over between Ryan and Carrie. Ryan was hospitalized, though I don't know exactly what's wrong. The Salvador family has announced that they will never let Carrie marry into our family.] [Zoe: Not only that, the Solloways have brought their son to meet Gregory to propose a marriage alliance, and the two families got along well. Once Carrie's and Jason Solloway's marriage is decided, Ryan will be devastated by the blow, unable to handle anything else. At that time, you will get the chance to strike back.] Liam's eyes lit up. He was about to reply, but a sudden, loud bang made his heart tremble in fright.

It was not just him. Everyone in the conference room jumped.

Ryan's broad shoulders were draped in a black mink-lined coat. His hands were in the pockets of his dark-patterned suit, and his arrogant and noble demeanor left everyone breathless. He kicked the door open with an indifferent but wild expression, his imposing and dominant presence making Liam seem like a worthless insect he could crush with a finger. "Sorry, I overslept." Ryan yawned.

Besides his slightly pale face, Ryan seemed spirited and energetic. Liam could not help but feel disappointed. He sneered, "Ha… Our new CEO certainly likes to be fashionably late." Logan's lips pursed. Although the Hoffman Group did not enforce strict rules, Ryan was too improper!

"Let's adjourn the meeting first. Grandpa, Liam, stay. The others can leave."

Ryan glanced at everyone coldly, his resentful gaze shooting straight at Liam's flushed face, full of anger.

Ryan smiled mockingly. "Then what should I call him? Bastard?"

Liam nearly choked from anger.

Ryan, you're being too disrespectful.

How can you call your uncle's name like that?" Logan glared, slamming the table.

"Ryan Hoffman!" Logan slammed the table again.

"If you don't dismiss the others, can you take what I'm about to do next?"

Ryan's arms were tense as he leaned on the table. "If you insist on protecting that bastard's reputation, e I'll make sure everyone here will know of his embarrassing deeds." The spacious meeting room was filled with silence.

Everyone wanted to gossip, but none of them dared to stay.

Logan finally could not withstand the pressure from his grandson, and he knew Ryan's temper too well. That man could light the Hoffman Group on fire in a fit of rage. So, he could only dismiss the high-ranking executives.

Soon, only the three Hoffmans were left in the conference room.

"Ryan, what are you trying to do by making a scene?" Logan huffed.

Ryan pulled out a chair and sat down casually, tapping the table with his fingertips. His eyes hid a malicious glint.

"I want Liam to get out of the Hoffman Group."

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1835-Ryan's words were like a nuclear bomb that exploded in the conference room.

Liam's face flushed red. He slammed the table, roaring, "Ryan Hoffman! You want me to leave the Hoffman Group?! Are you still fucking asleep?! When I built this empire with your grandfather, you're still playing with mud!"

Without outsiders present, coupled with the old and new grudges, the uncle and nephew had completely dropped their harmonious facade.

"Ryan, don't go too far!"

Logan clearly felt that Ryan had gone mad, scolding sternly, "I know what you're thinking. You just want to avenge that girl from the Salvador family! But don't forget that you're still a Hoffman and the CEO of Hoffman Group! The Hoffman

Group also has your father's efforts in it. Will you be able to live up to your late father's efforts if you make a mess of things here?!

"Besides, your uncle didn't do anything wrong! That girl has a mental illness. If you marry her, can you take care of a mentally ill person forever? You don't have the patience to do it! It's better to cut things off now than regret it later."

"Grandpa, I only have one question." Unexpectedly, Ryan acted as if he did not hear anything. He said, "I want Liam to get the fuck out of the Hoffman Group.

Will you agree to it?"

"You want a board member to step down because of a word from you?

Nonsense! Do you think the Hoffman Group is like those bars and clubs you opened? Do you think you can do whatever you want?" Logan growled.

"Okay."

Ryan's tall figure leaned back, and he raised his voice. "Dean, come in!"

Dean appeared by Ryan's side like a shadow. "Mr. Hoffman."

"Grandpa, your birthday is in a few months, right? Although it's not your 80th birthday, I still prepared a grand gift for you."

Ryan took an envelope from Dean's hand and casually tossed it in front of Logan.

Logan's gray brows furrowed tightly. He picked up the envelope slowly and pulled out the contents inside. It was a stack of photos. Every one of them was a scandalous photo of Logan with his arms around sexy models on a luxurious yacht.

If any of these photos were leaked, he would be publicly shamed.

Liam craned his neck and tried to peek, but Logan roared at him, "Fuck off!"

Then Logan glared at Ryan, face twitching. "You… What do you want to do?!"

"Grandpa, you're amazing. At your age, you're still as energetic as ever."

Ryan pulled a cigarette from his pocket and placed it between his thin lips. Dean immediately lit it for him. "But too much lust is harmful at your age. You ought to take good care of your health."

Logan immediately guessed what it was about. His heart skipped a beat.

That "yacht meeting" had tight security measures, and all bodyguards were armed.

Logan did not expect Ryan to be able to get these photos. What was the extent of this young man's capabilities?

"If you don't agree to my request, I have no choice but to scatter these photos on the streets of Savrow, so that everyone can take a look at grandfather's twilight years." Ry narrowed his eyes and took a drag of his cigarette.

Logan trembled with rage. "You…

"And it's not just these. I know more about you than you think."

Ryan lazily puffed out a ring of smoke, his eyes half-shut. "Every one of those little secrets will be enough to ensure you enjoy the rest of your life in prison."

"Ryan! Are you fucking crazy?! Your grandfather raised you! Are you going to stab him in the back for a woman?

You're such an ungrateful brat, worse tham an animal!" Liam's face paled, unable to believe that Ryan could be so cold-hearted.

Carrie is not just any woman. She is my wife … The only woman I will take as my wife.

Ryan's eyes welled up with warm tears, but he forcibly held it in "Now, I am only fulfilling my duty as a husband. No matter who bullies Carrie, they must pay the price."

Even if Carrie no longer wanted him, Ryan would still love her forever.

Even if they could not be together anymore, she would always be his wife in his heart.

Logan clutched his chest, struggling to catch his breath under the threat.

His grandson had completely gone mad for a woman…

Just for a woman, Ryan wanted to overturn the entire Hoffman Group.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1836-"Grandpa, you're the best at weighing pros and cons. I've laid out everything here. You should consider carefully before making a choice."

As he finished his sentence, Ryan slowly stood up and put out his cigarette directly on the conference table.

"Wait!" Logan suddenly called out to stop Ryan, his voice trembling as he spoke.

"Okay… I agree to your terms!"

"Dad! I've contributed so much to the Hoffman Group. How can you do this to me just to get yourself out of trouble?!" Liam's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets in his agitation. "Enough! Stop flattering yourself!"

Logan shouted angrily, "Both you and I know who truly contributed to the Hoffman Group. It was Finn, Ryan's father and your elder brother! Even without all this, I would've eventually kicked you out of the Hoffman Group! Do you think I'm unaware of your shady dealings behind the scenes? I just turned a blind eye to them because I couldn't be bothered to deal with you!

"Today, I'll take this opportunity to rid myself of you. You don't have to come to the office from tomorrow onward. You can stop attending the board meetings and shareholder meetings too. Everything to do with the Hoffman Group is now irrelevant to you."

The old man certainly knew how to find a way out for himself.

"You're abandoning me after you've achieved your goals!" Liam stomped his foot in frustration. He looked like a foolish child throwing a tantrum in front of his father, despite his age.

It seemed he was truly desperate.

Logan roared, "Get out! Get out of here right now!"

Knowing that continuing to cause a scene would be pointless, Liam could only glare fiercely at Ryan's expressionless face before storming out like a defeated dog. Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

"When will you issue the notice of Liam's dismissal?" Ryan asked indifferently.

"Within this week…"

Upon hearing this, Ryan's eyes narrowed dangerously.

Logan immediately corrected himself, "I'll do it tomorrow morning!"

"Good. I'll await your good news."

Ryan turned and walked away, with Dean following close behind.

"Ryan, I've watched you grow up. In the entire Hoffman family, no one knows you better than I do, not even your mother!"

Logan's hoarse voice came from behind. "You're not suitable for that girl from the Salvador family. In terms of family background or personality, you two are simply not compatible! That girl is too meek and timid. She can't manage the Hoffman family, let alone control you. Without a strong wife tool keep you in check and help you manage the Hoffman Group, you'll have it tough in the future. Eventually, reality will wear your so-called love away!"

Ryan paused but did not turn around. "I'll only love who I choose, and I'll choose who to love. As for your concerns, they're unnecessary. My shoulders are strong enough to bear everything. All Carrie needs to do is hold my hand. That'll be enough."

Meanwhile, at the KS Group's headquarters, Bella sat in her office, having spent the entire afternoon reviewing documents.

After finishing the last one, she let out a sigh and stretched lazily, easing her muscles.

Just then, her phone rang. It was Axel calling.

Ax, I thought you forgot about your little sister now that you're dating Roza. What made you think of calling me now?" Bella asked lazily, sprawled out on the sofa. "Bella, I need to ask you something." Axel paused before continuing in a low voice, "Did Carrie and Ryan break up?"

Bella's eyes widened slightly. "Why are you asking that out of the blue? How did you know?"

"They really broke up?!" Astonished, Axel sighed. "It seems that the incident hit them hard."

"Ax, stop beating around the bush. Just say what you want to say."

This morning, attended the wedding of the Chief Prosecutor's youngest son. It was quite an event. Even Mayor Solloway and his wife were there. That was when I heard Mayor Solloway mention that his son is getting engaged to Carrie Salvador.'

"What?!"

"Ms. Bella, there's something I need to report to you."

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1837-Bella felt a tightness in her chest. She gestured to Steven and continued questioning Axel.

"Is this true? Are you sure?!"

"Mayor Solloway has always been very cautious. He wouldn't say something like that without being absolutely certain, which is why his political career has been so smooth over the years."

Axel's tone grew serious. "So, I believe it's true. Bella, is this an arranged marriage for Carrie? Will she agree to marry someone she doesn't love? Will she be happy after that?" In fact, Carrie would never agree to it.

There must be some undisclosed reason behind this!

"I know that Grandpa Nigel and Chairman Salvador are dissatisfied with Ryan and detest the entire Hoffman family, but Carrie absolutely cannot marry Jason Solloway!" "Bella, do you know Mayor Solloway's son?"

Bella clenched her delicate fist tightly. "That guy clearly looks like a deceitful scoundrel!"

Upon hearing that, Axel and Steven were speechless.

"Ax, thanks for telling me this important information. When you get home, I'll make your favorite dish for dinner!"

After hanging up the phone, Bella took a deep breath to calm herself and turned to look at Steven.

"Steve, what's going on?"

"Ms. Bella, you asked me to keep an eye on Bethany previously. Our men tracked her to Zenith's airport. However, she was immediately taken away and is now in Meridan."

A sharp glint flashed in Steven's eyes. "Zenith is a remote and chaotic country.

In contrast to that, Meridan is developed and glamorous. Someone must have moved her to Meridan to spare her the hardship."

"It could only be Gregory. Not just because he couldn't bear to see Bethany suffer, but also to spite Justin Bella could not focus. Her thoughts were constantly returning to Carrie's dire situation.

"Ms. Bella, don't forget. There's someone else in Meridan," Steven reminded her gravely.

Bella's eyes glimmered with a hint of coldness. "You mean, Grant?"

"He has never shown himself. We don't know his exact position in the Salvador family. We also don't know his character or relationship with the other family members. I'm worried that he'll treat Bethany well in Meridan, which would render Mr. Salvador's efforts useless, Steven said with concern.

Bella pursed her red lips slightly. "I don't think that's going to happen. Grant hasn't interacted with the Salvador family for many years. He only recently started communicating with Justin and has had no contact with his half-sister, Bethany of he wanted to help Bethany, he would've done so openly. There's no need to act in such a secretive manner."

Steven nodded thoughtfully.

Besides, I'm not concerned about Grant aiding Bethany. Right now, I'm more interested in her physical m condition,"Bella said with a hint of cold amusement curling her lips.

Don't worry, Miss. Our men have followed her to Meridan and will continue to monitor Bethany closely.

Bella's gaze grew uneasy again. She glanced at her watch.

"Steve, get the car ready."

"Where are we going?"

Thinking of Justin, Bella felt a warmth soothe her troubled heart.

Her eyes misted over.

"We're going to pick up my husband from work."

As the night fell, the city lights began to shine.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1838-After the meeting, Gregory and Justin walked toward the entrance of the Salvador Corporation building, flanked by their secretaries and bodyguards.

Though related by blood, the father-son duo were more distant than strangers.

They did not exchange a single word the entire time.

As they stepped outside, Gregory finally spoke in a commanding tone. "Join me on the private jet to South City. I have a golf appointment with Chairman Sinclair tomorrow morning and a business banquet in the afternoon. These events are crucial for our future projects in South City."

As Justin was about to speak, a sharp, clear honk interrupted him.

A majestic Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy stopped right in front of them.

Justin's eyes curved into a smile, his heart pounding.

Just then, the luxury car door swung open in front of Gregory. He could not see the person inside, but he heard a sweet and pleasant voice.

"Chairman Salvador, you wouldn't mind if I picked up Justin from work, right?"

As soon as Gregory recognized Bella's voice, his breath hitched.

Before he could respond, Justin had already eagerly slipped into the car without a word of farewell.

Once inside, he intertwined his fingers with the woman he had been longing for and kissed her soft hand.

His lips were gently caressing and nuzzling his beloved.

Gregory's face darkened with anger as he silently cursed, 'How shameless and disrespectful!' "Sorry, Chairman Salvador." Justin wrapped his arm around Bella's slender waist and said calmly, "I'm afraid I won't be joining you in South City to play golf with Chairman Sinclair." "Justin, don't forget about your position and responsibilities!"

Gregory's face turned icy with anger, his teeth gritting. "Our project in South City is crucial for the Salvador Corporation's future development in the southern coastal cities! You can date anytime, but this project is of paramount importance. How can you prioritize romance over the company's interests?

You're becoming increasingly unfit for your role as CEO!"

"I've spent nearly five years propelling the Salvador Corporation to the top in Savrow, earning the title of the richest man in town. I did this so we could negotiate business deals confidently, not to waste time playing golf or attending boring banquets."

Justin gazed deeply into Bella's eyes and kissed her forehead tenderly. Then he spoke with a soft voice. "I'd rather spend my time at home with my wife than waste it on such trivialities." Gregory clenched his fists in fury. He felt a surge of anger rising in his throat.

Bella leaned gracefully from the car, glancing at Gregory. "Chairman Salvador, if you're going there to discuss the Night City commercial complex project with Chairman Sinclair of the Sinway Group, you don't need to make this trip."

Gregory frowned. "What do you mean?"

Just three days ago, Chairman Sinclair agreed to co-develop then project with KS Group."Bella smiled radiantly. "There, I've saved you the cost of a private jet trip."

"What… How is that possible?!" Gregory was stunned.

Justin's expression remained calm.

"Chairman Sinclair has a close personal relationship with Chairman Thompson. Besides, the Sinclair, Group and KS Group have

collaborated multiple times before. I was well aware of this from them beginning dt's/just that you never believed me."

With those words, the car door closed. The Rolls-Royce sped away, leaving Gregory standing in a cloud of dust, stunned, and breathing in the exhaust fumes.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1839-After a short drive, Bella's expression suddenly changed. She clenched her delicate hands, which bore marks of Justin's kisses, into fists and began pounding on his chest. "Bella, take it easy, or your hands will hurt." Justin's voice trembled from her blows.

Driving, Steven stole a glance in the rearview mirror, unable to suppress a smile.

"Justin, I have a question for you." Bella poked his firm chest with her finger, anger radiating from her. "Did you know about Carrie's engagement to Mayor Solloway's son?" Justin's dark eyes narrowed, and he grabbed her hand. "Bella, how did you find out about that?"

"How did I find out?! The whole city of Savrow probably knows by now!"

Bella recounted everything Axel had told her.

"Damn it!"

Justin slammed a fist into the car window in a rage. "The Solloways are spreading this news to force Gregory to finalize the engagement plans with their family as quickly as possible!"

"They can forget about it. In this day and age, you can't just force someone into marriage!" Bella bit her lip. "As long as Carrie doesn't want it, it doesn't matter.

Don't they dare even think about touching her!" "But Carrie agreed to it."

"What?! Why?!" Bella and Steven exclaimed in unison.

"She said being with Ryan was too exhausting."

"That's a lie!" Bella said.

"She said being with Ryan would only bring trouble to him and Yasmin. She didn't want to be a burden to the people she loves."

"She could just leave Ryan then. Why marry Jason Solloway?"

Bella's dark almond eyes showed suspicion. "Did Chairman Salvador pressure her or say something to her?"

Justin thought for a moment and spoke with a hoarse voice. "Gregory and I argued about the engagement with the Solloways in front of Carrie the other day. It must've scared her." Bang-!

Bella slammed her fist into the car window. Fortunately, the luxury car was sturdy, or it would not have withstood the couple's abuse.

"Carrie… She's sacrificing herself to protect you!"

Bella's eyes reddened, and her heart ached. "Carrie was worried that Chairman Salvador would hold a grudge against you. She feared he'd retaliate and strip away everything you've worked hard for! She doesn't know any other way to protect you… She could only sacrifice her own happiness to protect the dearest brother she cares most about!"

"Carrie… That silly girl."

Justin shook his head, pain tearing at his heart. "We can't let her marry Jason Solloway. Absolutely not!"

Furious, Bella gritted her teeth. "Damn it… I'd rather Carrie be Ralph's wife than let her marry that jerk! That way, at least we get to keep her in the family."

Justin pursed his thin lips. "Bella, do you think Ryan and Carrie still have a chance to be together?"

"I don't know. Matters of the heart are always the most unpredictable and hardest to grasp."

Bella sighed softly as she nestled in Justin's arms. "The path for Carrie and Ryan may not be as smooth as ours once was. Let's deal with the current mess first."

The day after Logan dealt with Ryan, the Hoffman Group swiftly sent Liam's dismissal announcement to everyone's inboxes.

The Hoffman Group had stripped Liam of all his duties and removed him from the board of directors.

From that moment on, Liam was nothing but a socially idle person.

Aside from the annual dividends from his shares, he had nothing more to do with the Hoffman Group.

That evening, feeling deeply frustrated, Liam called up some friends and headed to the notorious den of indulgence in Savrow, Pivotage, to drown his sorrows.

After downing several bottles of liquor, he started ranting angrily about Logan in the private room.

He called Logan a self-righteous, cunning old fox who would betray anyone for his own benefit.

His friends could only offer kind words, advising him to stay resilient. They also reminded him that he still had hope as long as he was still alive.

As long as Liam held shares, he was still a major shareholder in the Hoffman Group. To him, reclaiming his position and taking down that wretched Ryan was just a matter of time.

"I heard… Burp… There's a girl named Yvonne here at Pivotage. She's said to be quite a stunner. Bring her out to drink with me!" Reeking of alcohol, Liam demanded that the manager bring Yvonne out.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Hoffman."

The manager smiled politely and replied, "Ms. Smith only entertains esteemed guests. I'm afraid you won't be able to meet her."

Liam's eyes widened in anger. "What kind of nonsense is that?! If I'm not considered an esteemed guest, who is?!"

"Weren't you just dismissed from your post today?"

"You…!" Liam was infuriated. How did Pivotage get news so quickly?!

"The last person who made a scene here didn't end up well. While we cover medical expenses, broken bones are a minor issue compared to the humiliation. Don't you agree?"

"Who was it?!"

"James Iverson."

That response rendered Liam speechless.

Damn it. The saying was true that a dethroned king would be mocked by commoners.

Meanwhile, in the surveillance room, Yvonne watched the situation in Liam's private room closely.

Just then, one of her subordinates rushed in.

Ms. Smith, another guest has arrived. The car has entered the underground parking lot. "

Yvonne asked nonchalantly, "Who is it?"

"The Hoffman Group's CEO, Ryan Hoffman."

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1840-Yvonne's eyes flickered with a hint of surprise.

"We don't accept guests without a reservation at Pivotage."

"But his secretary just called and told us to accommodate Mr. Hoffman."

The subordinate then whispered, "Our boss also instructed you to keep an eye on Mr. Hoffman's actions tonight and retain any video evidence if anything unusual happens."

Having followed Christopher for many years, Yvonne instantly grasped his intentions. She responded coolly, "Alright."

After the subordinate left, she redirected her complex gaze to the screen.

Just then, another convoy of luxury cars followed Ryan's vehicle, driving aggressively into the underground parking lot.

However, those cars remained silently parked in the shadows. Their occupants made no further moves.

Yet it gave Yvonne a foreboding sense of imminent chaos.

Meanwhile, a heavily intoxicated Liam, supported by bodyguards, stumbled into the parking lot.

His legs wobbled, and he could barely walk straight. Despite his slurred speech, he continued to hurl insults at the Hoffman family, seemingly oblivious that he was also part of the same bloodline.

Just as Liam reached the middle of the parking lot, a blinding headlight beam hit him, causing him to instinctively raise his hand and shield his eyes.

Right after that, the noise of a roaring engine filled the empty space.

"M-Mr. Hoffman! Watch out!"

Already muddled from drinking, Liam took a moment to realize that a speeding, all-black Bentley was barreling toward him without any intention of slowing down.

It looked as if it would run him over.

None of his entourage stepped in to shield him in that critical moment. Instead, they scattered in all directions, clutching their heads in panic.

"Argh! S-Stop! Don't come any closer… Argh!"

A piercing scream shattered the cold air.

The driver in the Bentley slammed on its brakes just half a meter from Liam, its front end crashing into his bloated belly.

Though it did not send Liam flying, it threw him several meters back, and he landed heavily on the ground.

"Urghhh-!"

After a wave of intense pain, Liam vomited up all the delicacies he had eaten that evening, leaving him covered in foul-smelling filth. Despite his entire body feeling like it might fall apart, he crawled and struggled to stand, retreating while still vomiting.

"What are you standing there for?! Get the hell over here!"

Before he could finish his sentence, more than a dozen black-clad thugs wielding machetes emerged from the shadows, surrounding him.

A stunningly beautiful yet fiercely determined face led them into the light. It was Yasmin!

At that moment, Liam realized what was going on. He fumbled for his phone and shouted frantically, "What are you waiting for?! Get them all!' Seeing no way out, his subordinates charged forward into the night.

Under the cover of darkness, the air was filled with cries of agony and the sound of bones breaking, echoing relentlessly in the vast parking lot, eerie as if it were the gates of hell.

As the fight settled, Liam lay beaten in a pool of blood, his expensive suit shredded into pieces by the machetes.

He knelt like a dog on the ground, while Yasmin lifted her slender leg and viciously pressed it into his back forcing him to crawl in pain and beg for mercy.

That was when Dean respectfully opened the car door.

Ryan stepped out gracefully. His tall and imposing figure moved with intimidating authority through the bloodbath. He stood in front of Liam, exuding a chilling air.

"Uncle Liam." Ryan's cold gaze was sharp, and his voice was low and ominous.

Liam shuddered uncontrollably, feeling a chill run down his spine.

He used to resent how this youngster never respected him as an elder.

But now, hearing him address him as "Uncle", Liam felt a deep sense of dread.

"R-Ryan… We're family… You've grown up under my care, my dear nephew!"

Liam could not muster any arrogance now. He pleaded desperately, W-We can talk. can discuss anything!"
