Ch. 1821..1830

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1821-Gregory's tight security measures were merely his intention to contest with Justin secretly.

Instead of father and son, Gregory and Justin were more like mortal enemies.

"Bella, what do you want to do?" Justin asked softly.

"I want to draw Bethany's blood and do a DNA test."

Justin and lan were stunned.

"I'd like to see if a degenerate like Bethany is really a Salvador. I'm just too curious."

Over the past few days, Bella gave it some thought and felt that it was weird.

She compared photos of Gregory and Bethany but failed to see the resemblance between them. Even Carrie had some similar features to Gregory.

The weirdest part was that Bethany did not look like Shannon either.

It was not scientific.

"It's fine if we can't get close to her at the moment."

Bella smiled coldly. "She would have to go to the hospital for a check-up sooner or later. When she's overseas, it'll be a piece of cake for us to get her blood sample."

"Bella, you seem quite sure." Justin sensed that things were not as simple as he thought from the woman's cunning, fox-like eyes.

"During high-risk sexual activities, HIV has an 80% transmission rate. Now, we'll see if Bethany falls into that lucky 20%."

Bella crossed her arms, her clear voice carrying a hint of coldness. "Besides, I've seen the medical report of the man she last fucked around with. He has AIDS. Bethany's trip to the hospital is guaranteed.” The room suddenly fell silent.

Justin's eyes widened, his thin lips parted, and he was at a loss for words for a long time.

His lover was an angel when she was kind, but even the devil had to avoid her when she was evil.

lan fell silent on the other end of the phone, muttering a silent prayer for his boss. 'Mr. Salvador, please don't make Ms. Thompson angry, ever!' Bella had already eaten, but Justin was still starving after busying around for a day. So, she went to the kitchen and cooked him a bowl of delicious noodles with two side dishes, showing great Skon ove 199 thoughtfulness.

Justin held the bowl and slurped the noodles while munching on the cucumber side dish loudly, apparently enjoying his food.

"It's crisp and tasty. Where did you buy it?" He only remembered to maintain his image as the president of a corporation after finishing his meal. He quickly straightened kis back and took a napkin to wipe his mouth gracefully.

"I made it myself." Bella poured him a glass of water.

Justin's eyes widened slightly, and he grabbed her hand. "You made it?!"

"During the stay at Grandpa Nigel's

house, I had nothing to do while accompanying Carrie, so I asked Uncle Matt to buy some ingredients. I pekled these cucumbers and put them in the refrigerator."

Bella smiled softly. "Don't think that I made them for you. It's for Grandpa Nigel.

Justin felt a surge of warmth in his heart, holding her waist and lifting her onto his lap, His throat bobbed.

"Whose wife is so kind and considerate?" "Yeah, whose?"

He loves pickles and can't enjoy a meal without them."

Bella acted dumb, scratching his chin with her fingertips, and stared at her reflection in his stunning eyes.

"Mine… Mine. Mine."

Justin's murmurs tugged at her heart. He leaned closer to her neck, warm lips brushing past her skin, sending shivers through her. Her goosebumps rose on her skin, and she looked cute and alluring. "Is something on your mind?" Bella gently touched his brows.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1822-"Today, if Grandpa didn't blurt it out of anger, I still wouldn't know that Grandma was deaf in her left ear."

Justin smiled bitterly, feeling guilty. "Isn't it ridiculous? As their grandson, I spent the most time with Grandpa and Grandma since I was little, but I never noticed anything unusual with Grandma…"

"I know about this. Grandpa Nigel told me during Christmas that year, when I went to visit Grandma with him…"

At the unintentional mention of Christmas, Bella immediately stopped speaking and dared not continue.

This year's Christmas was less than two months away.

The Thompson family loved festivities. Every Christmas, they would put up a grand and beautiful Christmas tree in the living room, and Asher would prepare gifts for each family member. He would also spend out of his pocket to buy gifts for the household workers.

But because of the unborn child she lost, Bella did not dare to celebrate Christmas anymore, not even daring to return home on the day of Christmas.

That was in the past.

Now, she did not bring it up because she was worried Justin would be reminded of unpleasant matters, making him upset.

Indeed, the man's eyes reddened instantly. He hugged her tightly and spoke after a long while. "Thank you… Bella. Thank you for everything you've done for Grandpa and me over the years." He could not continue anymore.

"Since you know how much I did, you must treat me nicely for a lifetime." Bella's smile was bright and cheerful as she patted his trembling back.

"For this year's Christmas, can you take me in and let me celebrate with your family?" Justin's gaze was intense, his long eyelashes fluttering as he tried to hold back his surging emotions. "I heard the Christmas tree in your family is huge. I'd like to see it."

Bella leaned against his heaving chest like a soft little kitten. "You'll have to get to work if you come."

The man's voice was gentle. "Okay."

They tacitly avoided touching on sad topics but could still understand the affection and guilt in each other's showing their prove to fullest. Content belongon eyes the True love needed no words.

"Young Master Justin, Young Madam."

Matt hurriedly walked in, and upon seeing the affectionate scene, he quickly covered his eyes to avoid intruding.

Justin was calm, but Bella could not sit still, jumping off the man's lap with a flushed face.

"Ahem… Mr. Ralph is here. He's waiting in the living room."

The couple quickly came out to greet Ralph, hand in hand.

"Ralph!" Seeing her brother, Bella beamed brightly.

"Bella." Ralph sat on the sofa, his eyes curving up like a half-moon.

He wore a neatly tailored black over a simple shirt, the collar casually open. No matter how coat casual his attire was, he still bad a naturally noble air about him.

"Ralph." Justin greeted.

'Justin," Ralph responded, but his gaze seemed to subconsciously drift elsewhereras if he was looking for someone else.

Upon noticing it, Bella's heart stirred, and she smiled faintly "Have you eaten ? Why don't you stay for a meal? I'll cook for you."

"There's no need. I'll make it quick."

Ralph's brows furrowed deeply, his expression solemn. "Bella, I couldn't find any information about the person you asked me to investigate, not even at the headquarters.

fingerprint in the system. This means there are two possibilities. One, he never committed crimes in the country. Two, he's not from this country at all."

There's no DNA sample or

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1823-Bella and Justin's expressions turned grim after hearing it.

"Or, he cleans up the crime scene meticulously every time, leaving no trace of evidence. But it doesn't fit the style of a desperate criminal and top-tier hitman.” Ralph rubbed his chin, calmly analyzing, "So, I'm leaning toward the guess that someone hired him from abroad."

"If that's the case, it will be more difficult to investigate him. That man must've disappeared immediately after doing this and might've already crossed the border with a fake identity." Justin's gaze darkened. "Didn't Yasmin see that man's face? She can come to the station tomorrow and describe his appearance based on her memory. We can get the best profiler in our province

to draw a portrait of that assassin." A dark light flashed across Ralph's clear eyes. "With the portrait, we might get more clues. We can't delay this matter for too long, or the portrait will not be accurate because a human's memory will fade. Only a portrait drawn while the memory is fresh will be precise."

Bella and Justin exchanged a glance, about to say something when a sweet, gentle, yet calm voice rang out behind them.

"I remember his face."

Ralph quickly looked up. When Carrie's frail figure walked down the stairs, entering his sight, his beating heart pounded fiercely against his chest.

He hurriedly stood up from the sofa, the warm blood flowing in his veins seemingly starting to stir.

Justin realized. "Yeah, Carrie was in contact with that man too."

Bella pursed her lips slightly, walked to Carrie, and held her shoulder gently.

"Carrie, we'll contact Yasmin tomorrow. Let her handle this. You don't need to do or think about anything. Just focus on getting better."

She knew that although Carrie looked fine, her mind was still tortured by the traumatic events and the breakup with Ryan.

Bella even wanted to take Carrie for MECT therapy to make her forget everything that happened that day. How could they force her to recall those painful memories and cause further damage to her already shaken mental state?

"Carrie, don't force yourself."

Ralph gazed deeply at her, his voice hoarse. "Your health and well-being are more important than anything else."

"Annie, Ralph, it's okay."

Carrie shook her head slightly, her gaze determined. "I'm fine now. I just want to help you as much as I can and I want to catch that man too. want to know who is behind this. Who's controlling the Hoffman Group and using me to hurt Ryan."

Bella and Justin's hearts tightened. They felt unspeakable sorrow.

They did not tell Carrie anything over the past few days, but she was smart enough to understand everything from their fragmented conversations.

Ralph stared at Carrie's red eyes, thinking about how affectionate her gaze was when she mentioned Ryan.

He could see that she really loved him, so much so that she would not allow a second person to come between them.

Justin was surprised. "Carrie, you and Ryan…"

"I just want to do something more for Ryan."

Carrie immediately interrupted him, curling her lips. "He has always been taking care of me, accommodating O V.

me, land sacrificing for me. I also want to try my best to do something, before officially leaving him."

Leaving him?!

Ralph widened his eyes, his heart skipping a beat.

But he did not have the intention to take advantage of the situation, no did he feel any joy at the sudden NON opportunity. He was more worried about whether Carrie could take it.

Bella lowered her head, her eyes reddening.

Justin noticed Bella's fluctuating emotions and held her hand, pressing it against his chest to comfort her silently.

Ralph walked to Carrie, his tall and lean body towering over her, surging with masculinity. But his gaze at her was filled with tenderness.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1824-"Ralph." Carrie raised her delicate little face.

"Carrie, thank you for being willing to help. I'll wait for you at the police station tomorrow. Ask Bella and Justin to bring you over." Ralph's heart softened.

He had the urge to raise his hand and gently pat the girl's head, but in the end, he still held back, his hands clenching while his veins bulged.

Carrie said softly, "No need. I can draw him."

"What? You can draw him?" The three of them were shocked.

"That man left a deep impression on me. No matter how much time has passed, I won't forget his face."

Carrie took a deep breath and calmed herself. "I'm better at drawing portraits. I think that rather than describing his characteristics, it'd be more accurate if I drew him myself."

To prevent Carrie from being disturbed, she went upstairs to draw alone so she could make full use of her skills, while the others waited patiently in the living room.

After hesitating for a moment, Ralph could not resist asking, "Bella, did Carrie break up with Ryan?"

"It's Carrie's decision." Bella sighed softly, her beautiful eyes clouded with sorrow. "But I think Ryan won't let her go. He loves Carrie too much."

Ralph gripped the cup in his hand tightly, his voice bitter. "Carrie loves him deeply too."

"With Ryan's personality, it will inevitably be a heart-wrenching entanglement."

Justin's heart was filled with worry.

Ryan, who lost Carrie, might descend into madness. He would not let go of everyone in the Hoffman family who hurt Carrie, nor would he forgive himself.

Bella could see Ralph's feelings for Carrie, so after thinking for a moment, she made up her mind and said, "Ralph, if you're not so busy recently, why don't you take a break and come accompany Carrie with us? With one more person around to divert her attention, it might lift her spirits."

Justin glanced at Bella discreetly, knowing her true intentions.

"If Carrie needs me, I'll definitely be there." Ralph's lashes fluttered restraint. "But now, she needs net you and Justin more than she needs me. She also needs Ryan."

Bella said nothing more.

She did not intend to push Ralph and Carrie to be together, but she merely wanted the people around her to be happy. She could not bear to watch her brother suppress his feelings, suffering from longing.

Time ticked away.

After a while, Carrie returned to the living room with a piece of drawing paper and handed the portrait to them.

The three people gathered around, flipping over the paper.

On the pure white paper, a man's eyes were as cold as blades. His brows were sharp, and his facial features were defined.

The portrait was vivid and lifelike.

Justin stared at it without blinking, secretly exclaiming that the man was indeed impressionable and handsome.

Just as he raised his eyes, he saw Bella and Ralph staring at the portrait in shock, their expressions identical-shock, surprise, and disbelief. "Bella, Ralph, what's going on?" Justin felt worried.

Bella's hand, gripping the paper, trembled uncontrollably "Carrier are you sure that the man looks like this?

Are you sure ?! "

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1825-"Yes." Carrie nodded firmly.

At this moment, Ralph, always composed and steady, stared at the portrait as he stood quietly and stiffly, his eyes turning red.

"Ralph, are you alright?" Carrie keenly sensed Ralph's unusual behavior and asked softly.

Ralph spoke, his voice hoarse. "Sorry. Where's the washroom? I need to use it."

Justin pointed in the direction, and Ralph immediately strode away.

"Bella, do you guys know this man?" Justin put his arms around her waist and asked nervously.

Bella took a deep breath, trying to calm her surging emotions. "This man looks like my fifth brother, Hugh, who died in a plane crash." Justin and Carrie's eyes widened in disbelief!

Thinking of her fifth brother, who passed away many years ago and became a wound that would never heal on the Thompson family members' hearts, Bella immediately teared up and muttered in a low voice, "During the years Hugh left us, we never dared to mention his name or grieve him, especially in front of Aunt Mila and Ralph. It's not because we have forgotten him, but precisely because we can't, so we always avoided the subject."

Bella slowly closed her eyes as her memories were recalled, the pain spreading from the deepest corner of her heart and almost overwhelming her. "Until now, I could still remember the morning of Hugh's accident. He wore his pilot's uniform and carried a suitcase, standing in the courtyard bathed in warm sunlight, waving goodbye to us. We never thought it would be the last time we saw him."

The short goodbye became an eternal farewell.

Justin's hand on Bella's waist tightened, the sadness pressing down on his chest like a huge rock, so heavy that it suffocated him.

He wanted to comfort her, but any words seemed pale and useless in the face of a sibling's death.

Carrie finally understood and could not help looking back worriedly at the direction Ralph had left.

"The man in this portrait doesn't just look similar to Hugh. They look identical!"

Bella's fingers trembled again as she held the portrait. "But… But we've gotten official confirmation that all the crew members and passengers on Hugh's plane died in the crash. It's impossible…"

"It's indeed hard to believe." Justin's voice was slightly hoarse, his palm rubbing her shoulders gently. "Even if no body was found, the possibility of survival in a plane crash is close to zero.

Besides, if your brother survived and was saved, how could henot contact his family for so many years?"

"So, is it just a coincidence?" Ralph returned to them, but although he tried his best to control himself, his slightly swollen eyes still betrayed his sadness. "It's just a coincidence that he looks exactly the same as my brother? Are there really two people who look so much alike in the world?"

"It's not impossible," Justin said after some thought.

"Actually, after the plane crash, Wyatt and Aunt Mila refused to give up for a long time and used their connections to search for Hugh's whereabouts, especially Aunt Mila. She didn't see her son's body with her own eyes, so even if everyone told her there was no hope, she still couldn't get over it, holding onto the faint hope that her son might be alive.

"That glimmer of hope helped her through the darkest times of her life. So, she did not treat the day of the incident as Hugh's death anniversary. She still celebrates his birthday, as if Hugh merely went on a long trip and would come home sooner or later."

Bella's heart throbbed with pain. "I really can't imagine how Aunt Mila would feel if she saw this man. I'm afraid she'd want to find this man more than we do, even just to see him once."

Ralph stared deeply at the man's handsome face. "This man looks like Hugh, but his eyes don't belong to him. Hugh is like a pool of springwater, while he is a ruthless cold blade."

The room fell into a depressing silence.

Justin suddenly thought of something, his jaw tensing.

"Justin, if you have something to say, just say it." As a couple, Bella could read the man's microexpressions now.

"Bella, do you remember that woman who looked almost the same as you?

The woman Christopher kept by his side."

"You mean Yvonne? Of course."

"At that time, Christopher used Yvonne to set a trap, making me mistake her for you and fall into his trap."

Justin's gaze darkened, clouded by shadows. "And this man coincidentally looks like your fifth brother and coincidentally played a crucial role in the plot against Ryan and Carrie. Is it possible that Christopher was the one pulling the strings behind Liam and Zoe?"

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1826-Justin's words immediately brought Bella's senses back from being entangled in sorrow.

The more she thought about it, the more suspicious and reasonable it seemed.

"We've analyzed before that with Liam and Zoe's ability, they could not find such a capable helper. Someone must've supported them from behind."

Justin's eyes shone as he calmly broke things down. "What if Christopher wanted to set a trap to take revenge? It's not impossible. Besides, Ralph just said that the assassin was most likely from overseas. Christopher had been in Sentania for many years. It wouldn't be too hard for him to find someone to help Liam solve their problems."

"Revenge? If that viper wants revenge, he should come to us! What does it have to do with Ryan and Carrie?"

Bella was furious. "Is he so free that he wants to meddle in the Hoffman Group's affairs?!"

"Carrie is my sister, and Ryan is my best friend."

Justin's thin lips twitched, his hoarse voice suppressing anger and hatred.

"Bella, do you understand?"

As Carrie was present, there were some things he could not say too bluntly and cruelly.

Someone like Christopher, who has forsaken his humanity, was more than capable of venting his anger on the people close to Justin.

Christopher knew Ryan cared most about Carrie. So, he wanted to hand a knife to the Hoffman Group and destroy the relationship between Ryan and Carrie, letting the people Justin cared about feel the pain of losing someone they loved.

This kind of empathetic heartache was undoubtedly like cutting Justin's flesh with a blunt knife!

Bella's breath hitched, but she raised another question after a moment of thought.

"Justin, your analysis makes sense, but the situation is different. Does Christopher need to repeat the same trick? He kept a woman who looked like me beside him to set you up and to show her face to confuse people.

"Why does he need to send an assassin that looks like Hugh? There's no need for that. Besides, Christopher is quite a meticulous person. If he used the same trick, wouldn't it be easy for us to think of him? Would he be so dumb to leave us clues?"

"Justin's analysis is reasonable." Ralph's gaze was sharp and cold, regaining his composure as a captain. "Christopher has the motive to use the Hoffman Group to plot against Ryan. But Bella is right about one thing. He didn't need to use someone who looked like Hugh. Once this man shows himself, things might become complicated, like now."

Carrie, who had been quiet all this while, suddenly spoke, staring at Ralph's resolute face nervously. "Ralph, you mean… The person who hurt Ryan might not be Christopher… It could be someone else?" Bella and Justin were surprised.

In the past, Carrie was timid and cautious, living obediently and humbly, appearing naive and frail.

Ryan had always protected her like a precious flower in the greenhouse, but she was actually perceptive and clear-headed.

"Yes. Carrie, you're smart."

Ralph looked into her clear eyes, his lips curling up warmly, but his heart was bitter. "It has something to do with Christopher, but that assassin might not work for him. Someone else could be helping him."

Carrie was attentive and cared about this case because it involved the person she loved most.

"Someone is behind Christopher," Bella and Justin blurted in unison.

The situation was becoming more complicated.

So, was this the signal of that person's appearance?

Could it be a coincidence that this man, who looked so similar to Hugh, started being involved with the people around them? Christopher was already a tough opponent to deal with. What kind of terrifying figure was it that could make him submit?

After their discussion, Ralph wanted to leave without staying longer.

Bella and Justin walked him to the door, but unexpectedly, Carrie hurriedly ran out without even wearing her jacket. "Ralph, wait!"

Seeing the girl running toward him Ralph felt his heart tremble. He l.ne quickly said, "What if you catch a cold coming out with so little clothes on? Go back inside!

"I'm not cold. It's okay." Carrie's face was rosy and sincere. "Ralph i've finished all the biscuits you sent me n last time. They're delicious."

"It's nothing. As long as you liked them." Ralph smiled brightly.

Carrie pursed her lips, handing him a scroll of paper. "This is for you. Thank you for the treats."

Ralph was momentarily stunned, then unfo the paper and carefully it. It was a caricature of him, but it retained his lively and cute essence. He liked it a lot.

"Wow … It looks just like Ralph!" Bella peered at it and could not help m exclaiming.

Justin nodded. "It does look like him."

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1827-"I drew it in a rush, so it looks rough. It could be better." Carrie felt embarrassed, thinking that using such a crude thing as a return gift might not be adequate.

"No, it's good. It's really good."

Ralph struggled to control himself, but he was so overjoyed that his voice trembled. He said hoarsely, "Thank you, Carrie… I love it. Oh, right!"

He leaned back into the car and took a bag of candied apples he bought, handing it to Carrie. He tried to act casual, but his ears were unmistakably red.

"On my way here, I saw a stall selling candied apples and bought some because I was hungry. I haven't touched it yet. Take it."

Bella narrowed her eyes knowingly.

Her seventh brother was a top-tier foodie. If he was hungry, how could the candied apples have lasted the journey? He would have devoured it immediately, leaving nothing but the wrapper.

Ralph obviously bought it for Carrie but was embarrassed to take it out until now.

"Candied apples?" Carrie's dim eyes glimmered with a new light.

Nobody would believe that, as the daughter of a wealthy household, Carrie had never tried this common street candy.

Due to her illness, she was confined at home by Gregory and Shannon since she was a child, and a driver would send her to school. She rarely had a chance to hang out with friends like an ordinary girl. Besides, Gregory always looked down on such "commoner" food, so she had only seen candied apples and never tried them.

Ralph unwrapped the package and handed a stick of candied apple to Carrie.

"Do you want to try it?"

Carrie was shy at first, but the attraction of candied apples was too strong. She could not resist sticking out her tongue like a kitten, licking the bright red fruit.

"Mmm… It's sweet!"

Ralph was amused. A genuine smile spread across his face, and the girl's innocent expression melted his heart.

'Then I'll buy it for you frequently, okay?' Ralph thought to himself. These words were a confession that lingered in Ralph's mind.

At night, the couple bathed together. Bella sat in front of a mirror, wrapped only in a towel, as Justin blew out her thick, dark hair.

Her hair was thick and took a long time to dry, but he always had enough patience to blow her hair slowly, and then carefully comb through it.

After finishing, the man held her round shoulders, biting and kissing down gently, leaving a trail of marks that belonged to him.

Bella's face flushed, and she could not help lifting her chin to seek for his lips.

When their lips touched, filled with desire, it quickly spiraled into an unstoppable indulgence in pleasure.

After their intimacy, Justin carried Bella into the bathroom again, holding her narrow waist as he put her on the sink counter and cleaned her with the showerhead.

"Justin." She called out softly.

"Yeah?" Justin washed her body while leaning in to ask for a kiss.

"Do you think… Ryan suits Carrie more, or Ralph?"

Bella traced his lips with her fingertips. "I want an unbiased opinion."

Justin's gaze darkened. "Bella, do you want to push Carrie to be with Ralph?"

"Not really." Bella shook her head. "I merely want Carrie to be happy."

Ryan is passionate like fire, while Ralph is gentle like a spring breeze. In terms of appearance, ability, and family background, they are well-matched. Carrie would be in good hands with either of them."

Justin's hands grabbed her waist and crept up inch by inch, finally landing a kiss between the charming fair skin.

ut I think my sister deserves to be carefree and in love.

UMS What's most important is who she likes."

Bella pursed her rosy lips and nodded slightly.

Indeed. No matter how good a man was, it was not as important as Carrie's feelings.

But Bella still had a lingering fear, afraid that the Hoffmans would target that Poor girl again.

They returned to their room and were about to rest when Justin's phone vibrated.

"Who is it?" Bella yawned.

Justin's pupils contracted. "It's Ryan!"

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1828-Justin gripped his phone tightly. "Bella, I need to pick up Ryan's call."

"Go ahead," Bella urged gently.

Justin would pick up all his calls without hiding anything from her, no matter who it was.

He had no secrets from her. But at this time, Bella knew that the brothers needed a private conversation.

Justin got up and headed to the living room, standing in front of the window. He sounded concerned. "Ryan, how are you? Are you doing okay?"

"Justin."

After a long pause, Ryan finally spoke, his voice hoarse like a traveler stranded in the desert for too long without water. "I miss my wife. I miss Carrie…"

Justin's breath hitched. "Don't worry. Carrie is with our grandfather. We are accompanying her, and she's doing well."

"Justin, can I still be with Carrie? Can I still marry her?" Ryan asked desperately.

Justin's throat choked up, suddenly at a loss for words.

He knew Ryan was madly in love with Carrie, but he was unsure whether Carrie was still willing to choose Ryan.

"If I solve all the Hoffman Group's problems, will you let me take Carrie away?"

Ryan's tone suddenly turned gloomy. "Justin, help me."

Justin lowered his eyes. "You're my best friend. You don't need to ask."

"Help me gather all the dirt on the Hoffman Group, as much as possible, especially on Logan.” Justin's heart tightened, and he quickly said, "Ryan, Logan is your grandfather and the actual person in charge of the Hoffman Group. Don't do anything stupid!" "Gregory is your dad, but I see you didn't hesitate to defy him for Bella."

Justin was speechless.

Indeed, Justin was professional in going against his family, which was a totally bad influence on Ryan.

"I've made up my mind. Everyone who plotted against Carrie, who tried to stop me from marrying Carrie, should not stand while talking to me."

Ryan's cold and ruthless voice rang out in the dark night. "Logan is the foundation of the Hoffman Group. Without touching him, I won't be I able to get rid of Liam completely or crush that scumbag."

"Ryan, if you do so, I'm afraid you'd be playing with fire!" Justin was genuinely worried for him. "Wait a littledonger. We'll think of the safest solution."

"I can't wait anymore… Every second I'm apart from Carrie feels like my heart is being cut open!"

Ryan's emotions gradually lost control, panting heavily as he roared hysterically, "If… I ask you to separate from Bella, can you tolerate it? Can you?!"

Justin's chest throbbed with pain. "Ryan…"

"For Carrie, I won't hesitate, even if I have to overturn the entire Hoffman Group!"

As his words fell, the call disconnected without waiting for Justin to respond.

Justin sighed, raising his gaze to the silver moonlight casting a glow on his face.

It was bound to be a sleepless night.

Seeing that Carrie's condition had gradually stabilized, Bella and Justin felt assured enough to leave Nigel's house, returning to their busy schedule. Justin did not have the time to rest. He hurried back to the Salvador Corporation.

He had just finished hosting a meeting in the morning and attended to important guests in the afternoon.

Then he wanted to call his beloved wife.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1829-Matt's call came through.

Justin said, "Uncle Matt, what's up?"

"Young Master Justin, can you talk now?" Matt's words flickered.

"Please go ahead."

"This morning, Chairman Salvador came to bring Ms. Carrie back to Tideview Manor."

Justin's gaze darkened. "Isn't Grandpa planning to spend some more time with Carrie? Why so soon?"

"After Chairman Salvador came, he went to the study with Old Master Nigel, and they ended up fighting over something."

Matt's tone was laced with worry, "Ms. Carrie naturally heard it. She had always been the most obedient child, so since Chairman Salvador wanted to take her back, she agreed without question. I'm just a secretary, and it's not my place to interfere too much. When you return at night, please pay more attention to Ms.

Carrie."

Justin sensed the underlying message in his words and asked solemnly, "Did you hear why Chairman Salvador fought with Grandpa?"

"It seems to be about Ms. Carrie's marriage. Chairman Salvador and Old Master Nigel might have different opinions, which led to the argument. But I'm not sure about the specifics."

Justin abruptly stood up from his leather chair, his handsome face stern and cold. "Got it. Rest assured, I'll protect Carrie."

Carrie returned to Tideview Manor.

Shannon was gone. Carrie heard from the maids that Bethany would be sent abroad. Justin rarely returned, as he preferred to stay with his wife every day.

The large villa was grand but empty. It had become a golden cage that imprisoned her.

Carrie cuddled her teddy, sat on the sofa in the living room, and closed her eyes in exhaustion.

Everything that happened with Ryan was like a warm and happy dream. Now that the dream had ended, she should return to where she belonged.

It was fine being alone…

But why was it that even though she had accepted it, whenever she thought of Ryan's name, his beautiful eyes, and the burning, passionate kiss on her lips, she still could not stop the tears fresh net faffing? The sound of chaotic footsteps suddenly disrupted the peace.

Carrie slowly opened her eyes to see Bethany holding her heavy suitcase and struggling to walk down the stairs.

At this moment, Bethany was in sportswear that she would never have worn before. Her hair was disheveled, looking more pathetic than ever.

As the eldest daughter, Bethany spent the longest time with Gregory, Shannon, and Nigel. She had received much more love and affection than Carrie. How the tables had turned.

Now, not only was she exiled from the Salvador family, but she did not even have anyone to help carry her suitcase. It was indeed pitiful.

Carrie had long learned from Bella and Justin about everything Bethany had done to her.

She could not forgive this so-called sister of hers and did not want anything more to do with Bethany. So she lowered her head, hugging her teddy as she tried to leave without a word.

"Stop!"

Bethany suddenly roared, her voice sharp and hoarse, ten times louder than usual.

Carrie's footsteps halted. She raised her head to look into Bethany's twisted face, which was filled with hatred.

But this time, Carrie did not step back timidly. Instead, she had the courage to face this evil woman who had bullied her for too many years.

Copyfish

"Ha… Did you know I am deaf now,

so you don't even bother to greet me?" Bethany was like an exhausted and angry mule just done with her, work, panting heavily. Her eyes were red with resentment. "Idiot,

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1830-Bethany acted like a mad dog in front of Carrie, barking and spewing shit, proving her downfall.

Carrie's clear eyes were stunned.

She just noticed that Bethany had hearing aids on both of her ears, which were covered by her hair earlier. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Find_Nøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

"Bitch… Since I'm deaf, I won't let you off easily before I leave. I'll make you deaf too!"

Bethany, encouraged by her anger, raised her arm and struck down at Carrie's face with all her might.

Unexpectedly, Carrie, who used to let Bethany bully her all the time, swiftly dodged the blow.

Soon after, a crisp slap echoes in the living room. For the first time in her life, Carrie instinctively slapped Bethany back.

Even the passing servants stood still in shock, secretly smiling in satisfaction.

Carrie had finally grown a backbone. From now on, she will be taking charge!

"Ah!" Bethany covered her face and growled.

It was the first time Carrie hit anyone, so it was not painful, but Bethany's pride was shattered.

"Sister? No, you're not my sister." Carrie clenched her fingers and shook her head slightly. "When you set me up, you're not my sister anymore. But I won't resent or hate you. It's not worth it. After this slap, we're even."

"Even? Hahaha… The grudge between us will never be even! Fuck you!"

Bethany's face flushed red with rage as she charged at Carrie, her eyes bulging as she swung her arms.

This time, Carrie could not dodge in time and instinctively shrank back. But a tall and powerful figure suddenly stood in front of her, shoving Bethany away.

Bethany collapsed to the ground, feeling so much pain in her butt that she was unable to get up.

"Justin!"

Carrie looked up at Justin's reassuring back, her tensed heart finally relaxing.

Bethany stared at the man's cold face in a panic, scooting backward on the floor.

"A leopard cannot change its spots." Justin looked down at her indifferently, shielding Carrie behind him.

"Justin… If you're so tough, go exert dominance with the Hoffman Group! What kind of hero are you, bullying a weak woman like me here?!" Bethany's teeth chattered in fear, but she refused to back down. She just could not swallow the humiliation.

"I don't want to be a hero. I only want to protect my sister," Justin said indifferently, but his gentle gaze landed on Carrie's small face.

Bethany took in this ironic scene, feeling anger and bitterness in her heart.

Although she had never genuinely admitted Justin as her brother, she and Carrie were both birthed by Shannon. Why did this man only recognize that fool but never treat her like a sister, even for a day? Was it because she never called him "brother"?

"I have frozen all of your credit cards. Once you're abroad, you will receive a monthly allowance of $10,000. Don't think of asking Dad for more money. He won't give your any. Even if he does, I'll check your account every month. As long as there are suspicious transactions, I'll freeze them immediately Justin's gaze was as cold as ice, ruthlessly crushing Bethany's hope.

Bethany pounded the ground madly. "Justin… You might as well kill me!"

She thought, '$10,000? What was it enough for?! It was not even enough for my hair treatment!' Justin held Carrie's thin shoulders and turned around, ready to leave. "It's hard to go from an extravagant lifestyle to frugality. You can adjust slowly over there."

"Hahaha… I lost, but you're not doing any better, are you?!"

Bethany's sinister laughter pierced his back, her face twisted in malice. "Carrie, a virgin, has now become a worthless whore because of your best friend. She's not 'pure' anymore, and her reputation in Savrow is ruined. In the end, the Hoffman Group didn't want her because she's an idiot. Her dream of marrying Ryan is shattered! So much effort just to end up with nothing!"

Justin's brows furrowed, his hand gripping Carrie's trembling shoulders tighter.

"She's damaged goods now, and your good brother, Ryan, is no better!" Due to her declining hearing, Bethany screamed at the top of her lungs, attracting all the servants to watch. "He did everything he could to marry Carrie, but it's all useless! Ryan must be going mad now, right?

Haha … I want him to know what it feels like to want something he could never have! If I can't have it, neither can he!"

Every word and sentence was like a sharp blade slicing through, causing Carrie's heart to contract in pain.

"The current struggles are only temporary." Justin gritted his teeth. "As long as they still love each other, nobody and nothing could separate them." "Haha…

We'll see about that."

Bethany got to her feet, staggering. "I saw Mayor Solloway and his wife coming to ask Dad for Carrie's hand O in marriage with their son, Jason!"

'What did you say?" Justin immediately turned back.

Carrie hugged the teddy in her arms tighter, sweat forming on her forehead as her heart pounded.

"Oh, is there still something even our almighty Mr. Salvador doesn't know?"

Bethany smiled sinisterly. "I said, the Solloway family has their eyes on Carrie. They don't mind that she's an idiot, and they beg Dad to let her marry into their family! As long aset Dad agrees and Carrie marries Jason, your best friend will no longer have a chance. Tsk … Carrie, Pnever realized before, but you're quite m charming. Pthought only Ryan was foolish enough to like you, but I didn't expect even Jason to fall for you too!

What a slut!"
