“Asmodeus is dead now. Leon killed him,” she replied truthfully.
“What?” everyone was stunned to hear this.
They all knew of the true extent of Asmodeus‘ powers–he already attained the Semi Almighty State and was one of the few to do so in the Southern region!
Not only that, but Asmodeus also possessed the Cuff of Doom, which was capable of launching attacks on the Almighty State!
Not even the elder generations of martial artists could even pull off such a feat, much less the younger ones!
However, Roanne claimed that Leon, a virtually nameless young man, managed to singlehandedly kill Asmodeus!
This was unbelievable!
All of them turned to gaze at Leon in disbelief.
“Leon, did you kill Asmodeus?” Angus asked, his face etched with astonishment.
“Um,” Leon did not know how to react to this. Although he indeed killed Asmodeus himself, he was not willing to share this with anyone else.
For one, the only reason he managed to pull off this fear was that he used the Potential Energy Force that Master Haslewood gave him.
For two, he was worried that the more people knew about this, the more word would get out about his feat, and Asmodeus‘ buddies would come seeking revenge.
Leon was about to brush this off, but before he could even say anything, Roanne took the words right out of his mouth. “Of course it’s true! I saw it with my own two eyes, so how can it be fake?” she said earnestly.
“What?” Angus, Arthur, and the rest were stunned by this.
They all knew that Roanne was a naïve girl and would never lie to them. Since Roanne insisted it was true, they had no choice but to believe her!
Seeing that everyone was beginning to buy into Roanne’s declaration, Leon could not help feeling anxious. All of a sudden, an idea popped into his head, and he said, “You guys are mistaken! The truth is, a master martial artist from the Dragon Corps was helping me in secret, and he was the one who killed Asmodeus, not me.”
“A martial artist from the Dragon Corps?” Angus and Arthur froze at this, then exchanged dubious glances.
The Dragon Corps was indeed packed full of powerful martial artists, even Almighty Warriors. Therefore, if what Leon was saying was true, then the story of how Leon slaughtered Asmodeus would be far more believable!
However, both Leon and Roanne had stories of their own, and none of them knew whom to believe in now.
“Leon, what on earth are you talking about? I saw with my own two eyes that you killed Asmodeus yourself- “Roanne did not understand why Leon made up this lie.
However, before she could finish her sentence, Leon winked at her, indicating for her to go along with his story.
She quickly understood that Leon was trying to keep this a secret, and so she swallowed the rest of her sentence.

“Well, the truth is, I knew I was no match for Asmodeus at all, and so before tracking him down, I contacted the Dragon Corps to send out an elite member of their team to help me. That was how I managed to kill Asmodeus and save Roanne,” Leon explained.
The only way he managed to slaughter Asmodeus was with the help of the Potential Energy Force, which was gifted to him by Master Haslewood, who was indeed an elite member of the Dragon Corps, so technically, was not too far off from the truth!
“Oh, that sounds about right!” Arthur and the rest of the Thompsons gasped in realization.
Although Leon’s explanation was full of loopholes and was far less convincing than Roanne’s version of the story, they would rather believe that Leon employed the Dragon Corps‘ help in killing Asmodeus than think a young man like him was capable of pulling off a feat, not even the entire Thompsons family could!
Therefore, they were far more inclined to believe Leon’s story than anything!
However, not everyone was fully convinced -Angus was still a little dubious of Leon’s story, but he chose not to say anything.
“Thank you, young man! Not only did you save our precious Roanne, but you even joined forces with the Dragon Corps to get rid of Asmodeus once and for all. I hereby thank you on behalf of the Thompsons, and your kindness will be forever engrained in our hearts,” Arthur said gratuitously.
The rest of the Thompsons followed suit and cast Leon glances of gratitude.
Asmodeus was so good at evading capture that the entire Thompson family were wracking their brains trying to find him for a very long time now, considering they had a long history.
Not only that, but after this incident, the Thompsons were even inclined to adopt a position of defense and heighten their guards to prevent Asmodeus from sneaking in again.
However, fate worked in their favor, and Leon managed to solve their problem entirely by tracking Asmodeus down and slaughtering him with the Dragon Corps‘ help!
One could only imagine how relieved they were at this!
“Don’t flatter me, Mister Thompson,” Leon gave him a smile in return. Knowing that Arthur was just being courteous, he did not take his words to heart.
“Alright, now that Asmodeus has died and Roanne is safe and sound, this has all finally come to an end! We’ve all been busting our heads the entire day trying to track Asmodeus down, and now it’s time we rest!” Arthur declared before dismissing the meeting.
Everyone went their separate ways and returned to their bedrooms.
“Mister Wolf, please come with me. I have something I need to talk to you about,” Angus said, gesturing for
Leon to follow him.
“Alright.” Leon nodded and followed them out of the room.
Angus led them into the living room of their living quarters, where the first bloodline of the Thompsons resided.
“Mister Wolf, I sincerely apologize for choosing not to believe you when you said you’d be able to find Asmodeus. I thought you were being overly optimistic, and thinking back, I now realize what an oversight it was on my part,” Angus apologized to him.
Because he did not believe in Leon the first time, Leon’s task heightened significantly in difficulty, but not only did Leon not hold a grudge over that, he even single–handedly rescued Roanne from right under Asmodeus‘ nose!
Aside from owing Leon his gratitude, Angus could not help feeling ashamed and remorseful of his ignorance.

“That’s okay, Mister Thompson. Now that everything has passed and Roanne is safe now, you can stop blaming yourself for this,” Leon replied.
“The point is, thank you for saving Roanne. If you didn’t risk your life to rescue her, who knows where she could be by now!” Angus bowed, trying to show sincerity in his apology.
“He’s right. Thank you, Mister Wolf, for everything you’ve done.” Vivian and Yuri followed suit.
“Don’t flatter me, Mister Thompson. Yuri and I are friends, and considering how much you’ve helped me and Cynthion Group, this is the least I can do,” Leon said, smiling.
“Mister Wolf, we owe you so much, and I don’t even know where to begin repaying your kindness! If there’s anything I’d be able to help you or Cynthion Group with, please do not hesitate to let me know, and I will do everything in my power to help!” Angus said earnestly.
Leon saved his daughter from the brink of death, and there was no way he would get away with just a few words of thanks. He wanted to give Leon a hefty sum of money in payment for his good deed, but considering that Leon refused to accept payment for curing Roanne, and the fact that Cynthion Group was doing well financially, Angus knew that Leon would not accept the money.
Therefore, he invited Leon to his living room to ask if there was anything he could help out with so that he could repay Leon’s kindness in one way or another.
“Well, there’s something I’d like to ask of you!” Leon was reminded of the Elegante Group.
He came to visit the Thompsons that morning to check on Roanne and to invite the Thompsons to join in as a shareholder of Elegante Group. Now that the timing was perfect, he seized the opportunity to sell this idea to Angus.
“You want us to become a shareholder of Elegante Group? No problem!” Angus was quick to say yes. Although he was not too familiar with Elegante Group’s business model or future potential, Leon’s achievements spoke for themselves, and now that Leon was inviting them to run a business with him, was an opportunity that he could not pass up!
“However, if you want us to help you buy out a cosmeceuticals company, it would not be a difficult feat, but I can’t say the same for becoming a shareholder,” Angus said after some thought.
“It’s okay. If you don’t think it’s right to become a shareholder just yet, Mister Thompson, you can always help me buy out the company first, and we can talk about shares at a future date.” Leon had no choice but to relent, but he was secretly disappointed by this.
The Thompsons were the most powerful family in the Southern region and thus held powerful influence over the market. If the Thompsons were willing to become a shareholder of Elegante Group, it would no doubt be beneficial for Elegante Group’s growth and potential!
On the contrary, if the Thompsons were not willing to join, Elegante Group would require significant time and effort to grow their business here in the Southern region!

“That’s not what I meant, Mister Wolf! To join Elegante Group as a shareholder would be beneficial to our family as well, and I’m more than willing to do so, but unfortunately, I don’t have anyone suitable to help. you out with that,” Angus explained.
If they were to become a shareholder of Elegante Group, the Thompsons would have to send out one of their employees to help Leon run the company, and considering how much Leon mattered to them, he could not possibly send out a member of their collateral descendants to do so–this would be disrespectful to Leon and Elegante Group!
However, Elegante Group was not as established as Cynthion Group was, and he could not possibly send out Yuri to do so, considering he was a prodigy and already possessed an important role in the Thompsons‘ family business. Even if he wanted to, Angus knew that neither of the elders would agree to this!
“Father, why don’t you send me to assist Leon?” Roanne piped up.
“You?” Angus was stunned to hear this. “What are you talking about, Roanne? You just barely recovered, and besides, you know nothing about doing business, so what use is it of me to send you there?” he shook his head.
“I don’t know anything about it, but I can learn. Father, it’s not like I have anything to do at home too, and besides, Leon has already cured my Third Degree Block, and I really want to go out to explore the world! Please let me help out Leon!” Roanne pleaded.
She already took a liking to Leon ever since she met him, and now that Leon saved her from the brink of death, she could not help fancying him even more.
The reason she volunteered to help out was, on the one hand, she could get out and explore the world as she always desired, and on the other hand, she could use this opportunity to work near Leon.
This was killing two birds with one stone!
“Um,” Angus hesitated at this.
“Angus, now that Roanne has recovered, she will have to return to a normal life, and eventually learn to run the family business. If she wants to help Leon out, you should let her!” Vivian said. Leon was the man who cured Roanne and saved her life, so naturally, she was more than happy to let Roanne follow him.

“Sounds perfect!” Leon grinned. The reason he asked the Thompsons to become a shareholder with him was that he wanted to get his hands on their human resources and supply chain, and with Roanne joining, Leon knew that Angus would not hesitate to provide the best for them!
This was even better than Angus arranging for a collateral descendant of theirs to join him!
Since Roanne was not adept in business, this meant she would not be overly intrusive in Elegante Group’s growth and development, which was perfect for Leon!

“Alright, that’s settled! I’ll buy out a cosmeceutical company as soon as I can, and once I do so, I’ll get in touch with you so we can sort out the details,” Angus said solemnly.
“No problem! If there’s nothing else you want to discuss, Mister Thompson, I’ll be off now.” Leon bade them goodbye and left the mansion, on his way back to collect Asmodeus‘ body to hand over to the Dragon Corps.
Meanwhile, in the Black Market, Charlie arrived frantically and met up with the Black Gorilla in a VIP room at the back of the building.
“Have you heard of Asmodeus barging into the Thompsons‘ place and kidnapping their daughter from right under their noses?” Charlie asked.
Considering that the Thompsons sought out the help of many other major families to search for Roanne as soon as she went missing, the news of Roanne’s kidnapping spread through the town like wildfire, so of course Charlie heard of it.
“Yes, I have! I even have firsthand news that Asmodeus has managed to evade the Thompsons‘ capture and has disappeared where no one can find him,” the Black Gorilla added.
“That’s splendid! It’s no wonder that man is one of the best on the Criminal List. I can’t believe he managed to kidnap the Thompsons‘ daughter from right under their noses and successfully escape. He’s talented! I’m sure the Thompsons must be absolutely sick with worry now!” Charlie snickered triumphantly. Although the Thompsons and the Martells were not enemies, the Martells worked with the Southern Boss, and considering the Southern Boss did not get along with the Thompsons, it was natural that the Martells hated their guts too!
“Well, it’s not entirely Asmodeus‘ doing. His majesty Southern Boss should get credit too!” the Black Gorilla exclaimed, a glimmer of malice flashing through his eyes.
The Southern Boss was so ashamed when he found out about the Black Gorilla’s unpleasant encounter with Yuri, and at that time, he overheard the Southern Boss talking to his son about sending someone to punish yuri.
Although he did not hear of the Southern Boss contacting Asmodeus to do so, the fact that Asmodeus struck at this timing made this seem more than a coincidence!
Besides, from what he heard, the reason Asmodeus managed to evade the Thompsons‘ capture was that he had someone secretly helping him, and it would not be too hard to guess that the Southern Boss was probably behind this!

“Oh, so you’re finally going to get rid of that twat?” the Black Gorilla raised his brows in interest.
He did not know that Leon was the man who got his hands on the Spirituality Pearl at the Black Market, and thus did not understand the significance of this man.
“Yes, now that the Thompsons are in chaos over their daughter’s disappearance and won’t have the time for anything else, this will be the perfect opportunity for us to take Leon Wolf out!” Charlie sneered. He knew that the Thompsons and Cynthion Group were working closely together, and knowing that Leon was Iris’s boyfriend, would make their relationship run even deeper.
Therefore, he stopped himself from trying to take Leon out the last couple of days partly because of the Black Gorilla’s injuries, and partly because he was worried that ambushing Leon at a time like this would alert the Thompsons!
Now that the Black Gorilla almost fully recovered from his injuries and the Thompsons were in chaos over
Roanne’s kidnapping, this was the perfect time to strike!
“I’ve already got you all the information you need on Leon Wolf, Black Gorilla, so you’d better act fast before it’s too late!” Charlie added as he handed the Black Gorilla a stack of documents.
These were the documents he obtained from Nigel, who contained information about Leon’s power level, including the treasure he had on him that could defend him against attacks of the Overlord State!
He deliberately collected all this information first before handing it to the Black Gorilla for fear of him slipping up.
“He’s just a nameless twat; did you need to do so much homework on him?” the Black Gorilla snickered, disdainful at how cautious Charlie was.
However, when he flipped the folder open and caught sight of the photo of Leon, his eyes almost bugged out. of his face.
“It’s him! This is Leon Wolf all along! Haha, it turns out we always find things where we least expect them to be!” the Black Gorilla leaped up in excitement, cackling.
After witnessing the true extent of the Spiritual Pearl’s power, he was certain that it was a piece of priceless treasure, and intended to snatch it from Leon when he had the chance.
Unfortunately, since he did not know who Leon was, and did not even catch his name, he knew he could not find that man in the entire Southern region!
He never once dreamed that he would finally find that man in the place where he least expected to do so!
One could only imagine his excitement at this!
“What’s wrong? Do you know him, Black Gorilla?” Charlie was puzzled by this.
“Well,” the Black Gorilla was about to tell him about the Spirituality Pearl, but on second thought, decided not to.
Rare treasures were hard to come by, and every martial artist wanted to get their hands on a piece of treasure or two.
There were only a handful of people who knew of Leon’s true identity and his possession of the Spirituality Pearl, and if he assassinated Leon, he could secretly take the pearl for his own, but if he told this to Charlie, he would be forced to hand the pearl over to the Southern Boss!
Therefore, the Black Gorilla decided it was a better idea to keep this secret. Once he got his hands on the pearl and verified that it was truly treasure, he would be able to keep it for himself!
And if it turned out the Spirituality Pearl was of no use to him at all, it would not be too late to hand it over to the Southern Boss!

“Nothing. It’s just that I crossed paths with this tyke once before, and I was wracking my head trying to figure out how to find him, but then he shows up right at my doorstep!” the Black Gorilla chuckled.
“Well, I’ll be!” Charlie gasped, not at all suspicious of the Black Gorilla’s words. “Well, he has a piece of treasure with him that gives him a defensive advantage, so you’d better be careful to not let him get away,” he added.
“Yes, I know! Don’t worry, he and I have met once before, and he was no match for me at that time! I can defeat him as easily as swatting a fly, and there’s no way he’d escape on my watch!” the Black Gorilla sneered.
He injured Leon once already when trying to snatch the Spiritual Pearl from him, and if Yuri did not arrive at Leon’s aid just in time, he would have gotten away with it!
Leon just got lucky and managed to get away with Yuri’s help, but now, he would not get lucky a second time!
This was why the Black Gorilla was so certain that he would succeed this time.
“Alright then. I’ll be awaiting good news!” Charlie sneered as a glimmer of malice flashed through his eyes.
He met Leon once at the Scammells‘, and knowing that Leon was not as powerful as they all thought, he knew it would be as easy as ABC for the Black Gorilla, who was already at the Initial Emperor State, to defeat him!
There was no doubt about it–Leon would meet his end soon enough!
After leaving Thompson Mansion, Leon returned to the bungalow in the countryside, where Asmodeus hid.
Asmodeus‘ corpse lay in the same manner they left it–gnarled and grotesque, lying in a pool of blood in the living room.
To prevent staining his car, Leon found a set of clean sheets, which he intended to wrap Asmodeus‘ body in before handing it over to the Dragon Corps.
It was also about time for him to check in with the Southern region’s division of the Dragon Corps too!
“Shh–shh-”
All of a sudden, a rustling sounded from behind him, and Leon leaped up in alarm.
“Who’s hiding in the yard? Show yourself!” Leon glanced sharply at a corner of the yard where he heard the noise.
“Haha! Well, as weak as you are, you sure have good hearing, you twat!” the Black Gorilla cackled as he strode out of his hiding spot. After leaving the Black Market, he sent his men in search of Leon’s whereabouts, and it did not take long to find him, considering Charlie already did extensive research on Leon for him.
Therefore, he managed to follow Leon from Thompson Mansion to this desolate part of town. Since Leon was driving quite fast, and the Black Gorilla did not want to pounce on the road for fear of alerting the pedestrians, he decided to follow Leon to his destination before striking!

“It’s you!” Leon was stunned to see who it was. He never once dreamed that the Black Gorilla would be able to find Asmodeus‘ hiding spot, considering how recluse it was, but on second thought, he soon realized that the Black Gorilla must have followed him there without his knowledge.
“Yes, it’s me! You didn’t think we’d meet again so soon, did you?” the Black Gorilla sneered. He did not know that this was Asmodeus‘ hideout. All he could see was that this bungalow was very secluded, which was the perfect spot to kill someone without anyone knowing!
He could not understand why Leon came to a place like this voluntarily, but it worked out incredibly in his favor!
No one would find out if he murdered Leon here!
“What are you trying to do, Black Gorilla?” Leon asked, trying to understand his intentions.
“What do you think? If you want to live, you’d better hand over the Luminous Pearl right this second, and I might consider letting you go, but if you don’t, I’m going to chop you into pieces and feed you to the dogs!” Black Gorilla cackled, and a glimmer of greed flashed through his eyes at the mention of the treasure.
Then, he took a step forward, blocking the living room exit. This was the only way in and out of the living room, and as long he sealed it off, Leon would have no way of escaping.
“You’re here for the treasure!” Leon gasped. He thought the Black Gorilla came all the way to snatch the Spiritual Pearl from him, but unbeknownst to Leon, the Black Gorilla was under Charlie’s orders to assassinate him, and the treasure was just a coincidental reward he would get out of it!
“Shut up, you twat! If you don’t hand over the treasure right now, I’ll slice you into pieces!” he snarled.
“You? That’s the world’s funniest joke I’ve ever heard!” Leon scoffed, ignoring the Black Gorilla’s threat entirely.
He was familiar with the Black Gorilla’s powers, and although he was no match for the Black Gorilla at all, he had Master Haslewood’s Potential Energy Force with him, and defeating the Black Gorilla would be as easy as ABC!
Unfortunately, after slaughtering Asmodeus, Leon had only one Potential Energy Force left, and he was not willing to waste it defeating someone as insignificant as the Black Gorilla!
However, now that the Black Gorilla threatened to kill him for the treasure, Leon had no choice but to use up his final Potential Energy Force in defense!
“I can’t believe how cocky you are! Well, if you have a death wish, I’ll gladly fulfill you!” the Black Gorilla was utterly infuriated by Leon’s attitude. Then, without another word, he unleashed a surge of powerful energy in Leon’s direction!
It was clear that he intended to kill Leon once and for all, and claim the treasure as his own!
However, the next moment, his gaze shifted, and he caught sight of Asmodeus‘ corpse lying in the pool of blood next to Leon.

“As–Asmodeus?” the Black Gorilla widened his eyes in horror, and he immediately froze in his tracks.
Although he never met Asmodeus in person before, all the villains on the Criminal List were among the most wanted of the Dragon Corps and thus had their true identities exposed to the public long ago to aid capture.
Asmodeus‘ half–monster mask was his most striking feature, and seeing it on the dead body before him made the Black Gorilla certain that this was none other than the legendary Asmodeus himself!
“Asmodeus is dead? This can’t be!” the Black Gorilla was utterly stunned by this. He rubbed his eyes, unable to believe what he was seeing. According to what he heard, Asmodeus successfully evaded the Thompsons‘ capture and escaped, so he never dreamed that the sly and cunning Asmodeus would have met his end so soon!
This was unbelievable!
He would never have believed this was true if he did not see it with his own two eyes!
The next moment, the Black Gorilla glanced first at Asmodeus’s body, then at Leon, and a frightening thought popped into his mind.
“Did you kill Asmodeus?” he gasped. He wondered why Leon would come to such a secluded part of town, but now, he finally realized that this was probably Asmodeus‘ hiding spot!
Judging by how familiar Leon seemed with this area, this was surely no coincidence, and there was only one explanation for this–Leon slaughtered Asmodeus!
“So what if I did? He’s bound to meet his end in some way or another!” Leon sneered. He intended to use his final Potential Energy Force on the Black Gorilla, but at the mention of Asmodeus, he suddenly recalled the Cuff of Doom that he swiped from Asmodeus‘ body!
Since he had an Almighty Weapon with him, why bother to waste his last Potential Energy Force that Master Haslewood gave him?
“So it was you! This can’t be!” the Black Gorilla was utterly stunned to hear this. He long since heard of Asmodeus‘ greatness–he was one of the rare few in the city to have attained the Semi Almighty State, and even possessed a legendary weapon known as the Cuff of Doom, which was capable of unleashing attacks at the tier of the Almighty State!
Not even an Almighty Warrior could defeat Asmodeus as easily as one thought, which was why Asmodeus managed to pull off a feat as impressive as kidnapping the Thompsons‘ daughter from right underneath their noses!
However, Asmodeus died at the hands of Leon, a virtually nameless young man!
One could only imagine his shock at this realization, but on second thought, he realized something was amiss.
“Don’t try to scare me, you twat! I’ve seen you fight before, and there’s no way you killed someone as powerful as Asmodeus!” the Black Gorilla soon got ahold of himself. Although he was not too certain of Leon’s power level, judging from the way he managed to injure Leon with a single blow while trying to steal the Spiritual Pearl from him, he was no doubt much less powerful than him!
How could someone like Leon possibly have killed the great Asmodeus? This did not make sense!

But Mona wanted the ticket so badly that she feared Tessa would give it to someone else, so Mona tried flattering Tessa cheekily, “Tessa, you know you’re the best. Can you bring the ticket to me? Please…” Mona acted all lovey-dovey over the phone.
Tessa tried holding back a smile, but there was a hint of pampering in her tone. “Okay, I’ll bring it over.”
Unexpectedly, as soon as she arrived at the Hathaway Philharmonic building, she saw Hathaway coming out from the building. She was stunned for a while and subsequently became a little hesitant. She wanted to say hello but was worried that Miss Hathaway would not want to see her.
Just when Tessa hesitated, Hathaway also saw Tessa and walked over to her. “You’re here to see Mona?”

The two exchanged civility and separated.
After seeing Hathaway off, Tessa turned and entered the building.
“Isn’t this Tessa? Why is she here?”
“What’s she here for? Looking for the music director?”
“Well, she left just now. How about we let her know? Perhaps she may catch the director.”
“Why? Do you know her that well?”
Others gossiped around Tessa when they saw her. Some comments were good, but the others not so.
Tessa heard the gossip vaguely and pursed her lips slightly. She chose to ignore them and quickened her pace. She thought of giving the ticket to Moan and leaving after that so as not to cause unnecessary conflict. But it was at that moment that she met Cindy head-on
“Tessa! The audacity you have to appear here!” The moment Cindy saw Tessa, her eyes were filled with hatred. “Who allowed you to come in? F*ck off now!”
Tessa frowned at the vulgarity, but she tried to explain. “I’m just here to find someone. I’ll leave after that.” As she was replying to Cindy, she tried walking past her, but Cindy was quick to grab her arm.
“I said, you are not welcome here. Get. Out.” Cindy pushed Tessa.
Tessa staggered two steps back and was visibly annoyed at how Cindy treated her, but Mona rushed out of the crowd before she could say anything.
“Cindy, what are you doing? How can you push Tessa?!” Mona angrily reprimanded Cindy, then turned her head and asked, “Tessa, are you alright?”
“I’m fine.” Tessa nodded. Luckily, she was on guard when she felt Cindy’s hand on her arm.
Cindy got even angrier when she saw Mona defending Tessa like that. “Mona, which side are you on? You are siding with her! Have you forgotten that this woman is a sinner?!”
Cindy glared at Tessa ghastly, and her tone filled with a grudge. “If it weren’t for this b*tch, Hathaway Philharmonic would still be the first-class band.”
“Cindy, don’t go around slandering people. What happened to the band was not Tessa’s fault!” Mona confronted Cindy angrily. “You’re just jealous that Tessa is better than you.”
“What the?! You’re saying I’m jealous of this b*tch?!” Cindy exploded like a cat whose tail was stepped on upon hearing that.
She glared at Mona angrily while gnashing her teeth. “How come you’re helping Tessa? You’re part of the Hathaway Philharmonic! Since you can’t help but curry favor with Tessa, you might as well leave the band and follow her!”
Mona was utterly shocked at Cindy’s words. On the other hand, Tessa was shocked by Cindy’s outburst for an entirely different reason. She did not expect the Hathaway Philharmonic to fall out of the first-class band. Now she understood why the people did not welcome her. But she did not think it was her fault that this happened. Kathleen started the feud, and she was just defending herself.
