In the following days, Sebastian fulfilled his promise to Yuri and ordered Joel to apologize to Leon and the Elegante Group, before making compensation for the damage he caused.

The truth of the scandal concerning Elegante Group finally came out and Leon was able to offer the customers a satisfying answer to their questions.

Hiltons Corporation suffered great damage to its reputation and lost a lot of customers as a result; Elegante Group, on the other hand, gained a reputation for itself and obtained the support of the majority of the market.

With that, Elegante Group began to grow rapidly into a large-scale cosmetic firm in the southern region.

Meanwhile, Leon completed the production of alchemical pills and slowly shifted his focus onto Cynthion Group as he prepared for the second sales drive.

Since Yuri and the Thompsons got involved and Joel made a public apology, everything seemed as peaceful as ever and Leon let his guard down, thinking that the Hiltons gave up.

What he was unaware of was that a scheme targeting Iris and Snow was about to unfold. 1

One evening, Iris and Snow left the office by car and were about to drive home, but did not notice two black cars following them from behind. 1

When Iris drove into a quiet road, one of the black cars sped up and made a sharp turn to block the road ahead.

"Screech!''

Iris did not expect the car to stop and was startled. She immediately stepped on the brake and drove the car onto the grass on the side of the road, before stopping.

"What kind of a driver is that? Is he blind or something?!" Iris was furious and unfastened her seatbelt immediately to get out of the car.

Before she could do so, Snow grabbed her by the arm from the passenger's seat. "Iris, don't get out of the car!" Snow shook her head.

"Don't get out of the car? Why not?" Iris asked in confusion.

"Something isn't right," Snow glanced at the cars in front of them and behind them with a thoughtful look on her face.

She was the daughter of one of the kings in Springfield City, so she was more vigilant than Iris and noticed that something was wrong from the moment their car was stopped.

As she anticipated, the car door of the car in front of them opened and a few men strode out viciously.

The leader seemed to be a young man, but wore a black mask that covered most of his face; however, he was stumbling along as though he was injured on one leg.

It became clear that the man in the black mask was Seth.

Seth's leg was broken by Leon a few days ago and after resting for days, his injuries slowly recovered, but he still struggled to walk properly.

Apart from that, he heeded Joel's command to wear a mask to avoid being recognized.

At the same time, the doors to the car behind opened as well.

Gordon wore the same mask and led his men out of the car.

The two groups instantly surrounded Iris's car.

"Damn it! These people are after us!" Iris paled as she realized that this was a planned kidnap.

"Iris, call Leon right now!" Snow urged.

Both Iris and Snow immediately took out their phones to call Leon for help, and Iris was the first to reach Leon.

As soon as the call was answered, Seth and Gordon arrived by car and Seth slammed his fist against the car window.

Snow and Iris gasped in shock and immediately fired up their true power to shield themselves from the shattered glass.

Seth then reached inside and opened the car door by force.

"Who are you people? What do you want?" Iris snapped out of it and roared.

"What do you think? Isn't this obvious? Miss Young, you have one chance. Get out of the car on your own, or we drag you out!" Seth sneered and lowered his voice on purpose.

"Save yourself the trouble! We'll get out on our own!" Iris said coldly, before stepping out of the car with Snow.

Seth moved swiftly and sealed Iris's power, while Gordon stepped forward to do the same to Snow.

Before he could do so, what happened next caught him by surprise.

"Cowards! Let's see some faces!" Snow took advantage of the chance and reached out to grab the mask on Gordon's face.

Since she used to date Gordon, she was familiar with his figure and mannerism.

Though half of Gordon's face was covered by the mask, Snow already guessed his identity and simply wanted to confirm her belief.

Gordon was stunned at her sudden movement as he did not expect Snow to attack all of a sudden.

However, since he was already in the Intermediate Overlord State, his power surpassed that of Snow by miles.

He simply backed away and reached out to push her hand aside, before making a sharp turn to grab her by the shoulder and jabbing her compression point to seal her power with the other hand.

"That was close!" Gordon sighed a breath of relief, but his heart instantly sank when he heard what Snow said the next instant.

"Gordon, don't bother hiding your face! I already know it's you!” Snow roared darkly.

Leon fought Gordon in Hughes Group before and she was made aware that Gordon was in the Intermediate Overlord State at the time.

The masked man before her matched what she knew about Gordon in terms of figure, mannerisms, and power level.

On top of that, Snow and Leon had their doubts in the past that Gordon was likely responsible for swapping Elegante Group’s cosmetic products, so it was not hard for Snow to conclude that the masked man was Gordon.

However, she never expected a man she used to date to be so ruthless toward her and was taken aback by it.

"How do you know it's me?!* Gordon's expression darkened as he did not expect Snow to guess who he was so soon.

"If you don't want to be recognized, you shouldn't be doing this, to begin with! If I'm not mistaken, that Seth Golan over there, right?" Snow scoffed.

She was aware that Seth had one of his legs broken by Leon a few days ago, and since Seth partnered with Joel and Gordon to plot against Elegante Group, she recognized Seth right away as well.

"I'm surprised that a woman can be this perspective!’ Seth said in awe. i

Since Snow and Iris already been captured, neither of them would be able to escape and there was no point for Seth and Gordon to hide their identity if Snow already figured it out.

The two took off their masks, revealing their true faces.

"So it's the two of you!” Snow's expression darkened.

"Seth Golan, what's the meaning of this? Joel Hiltons has already apologized, so why are you still doing this?!" Iris questioned sharply.

Like Leon, she thought that everything came to an end since Joel was forced to issue a public apology under the pressure of Yuri and the Thompsons, so she did not expect Seth to target her and Snow instead.

"So what? That little bast*rd, Leon, broke my leg! I'm going to make him pay for it!" Seth said viciously, his expression smug and triumphant as though he already had full control over the situation.

"You're going to make him pay? What a joke! Seth, I'm warning you. Let us go and we can pretend like this never happened, or Leon will skin you alive if he finds out about this!" Iris said coldly.

"Ha! Miss Young, don't bother trying to threaten me with Leon's name. He's hardly a threat! If only he didn't have the Thompsons behind his back, I would've killed him a long time ago!" Seth scoffed at Iris's threat.

"Alright, I don’t have time to waste chatting with you! Come on, capture Iris Young!" Seth commanded his men to retrain Iris.

Snow, on the other hand, was to be handed over to Gordon as per their agreement.

Seth and Gordon went their separate ways with Iris and Snow afterward, not noticing that the two women crushed their Soul Searcher Pills to leave their trails for Leon.

In Cynthion Group, office hours ended.

Leon, Cynthia, and Ruth were about to go home.

When Leon received a call from Iris, his expression darkened at the sound of people shouting.

"Leon, what's wrong?"

Cynthia and Ruth were both confused by the dark look on his face.

"Cynthia, Iris, and Snow might be in danger! I'm going to find them right now! You should go home with Ruth! Be safe," Leon said. Not daring to wait another moment, Leon immediately hurried toward the spot where his car was parked.

He jumped into his car and drove off to the distance swiftly.

"What!’

Cynthia and Ruth soon realized that something went wrong.

"Cynthia, will Iris and Snow be okay?" Ruth asked worriedly.

"I don't know, but Leon's a resourceful man. He's always been able to turn things around. I'm sure Iris and Snow are going to be alright,’ Cynthia consoled her.

Despite what she said, her heart was heavy with concern.

"What do we do now? Are we supposed to just go home? I'm so worried!' Ruth said hesitantly.

After spending so much time together, Ruth, Iris, Cynthia, and Snow developed a strong, sisterly bond; neither of them could return home when Iris's and Snow's safety was at risk.

"Oh, right! I have Roanne's number! Let me call her right now and seek help from the Thompsons! That way, there's a bigger chance of getting Iris and Snow out of danger!’ Cynthia said.

Roanne was the eldest daughter of the Thompsons and she was close with Leon.

If the Thompsons were willing to interfere, Leon would be more than capable of protecting Iris and Snow from all harm.

Cynthia immediately took out her phone to call Roanne and briefly explained the situation to her.

At the time, Roanne was also on her way home from work.

When she was told that Iris and Snow were in danger, she immediately urged John to turn the car and hurried toward Leon's direction.

Meanwhile, Leon instantly arrived at the spot where Iris and Snow were captured, only to find nothing but Iris's car with one of the car windows shattered, along with Iris's and Snow's phones in the car.

"Damn it! Who did this?!" Leon widened his eyes in rage.

When Iris phoned him, he faintly realized that they were in danger, but did not catch any sign that could lead to the identity of the attackers.

However, judging from what happened recently, it could be concluded that Joel was likely involved, but Leon had no evidence to prove if his theory was correct.

Right! The Soul Searcher!" Leon took a deep breath to calm himself, before rubbing a specific ointment under his nose.

He instantly caught the trails for the Soul Searcher, but was shocked to find that two trails led to a different direction as Iris and Snow were taken by Seth and Gordon separately.

"W- What is this? Why are there two trails? Were Iris and Snow taken by two different groups of people?" Leon was stunned.

Though he realized that this was likely the work of two different groups of people, he was alone, and as talented as he was, he could never rescue both Iris and Snow from danger at the same time.

On top of that, he could not distinguish which trail belonged to Iris and which belonged to Snow; even if it was possible to distinguish the trails, he could never decide who to save first.

"Damn it!" Leon clenched his fists as his expression darkened.

There was no time to waste as any delay could lead to danger for Iris and Snow.

He randomly chose the trail on his left and drove in that direction.

Leon guessed that Joel might be involved with the other trail of Soul Searcher, so he immediately called Yuri to seek his help to contact the Hiltons.

Since Leon did not have a clue as to who was responsible, he could only try everything possible.

If Joel was indeed involved, Yuri would be able to help Leon with the other person who was captured; but if Joel had nothing to do with the incident, the situation would become extremely intractable.

Meanwhile, in the Golans Mansion, Iris was locked in a bedroom.

Seth ordered two of his guards to guard the door, before walking into the room and shutting the door behind him.

"Seth Golan, what do you want?" Iris roared warily when she saw Seth walking over to her smugly.

Though her powers were sealed and she was left defenseless, Leon prepared two secret weapons for Iris, Cynthia, Snow, and Ruth.

One of the weapons was the two Potential Energy Forces Leon left for them, while the other was two poisonous daggers.

Back when Seth captured her, Iris and Snow were outnumbered and Leon's secret weapons would not be sufficient to be everyone. Considering that they would only end up alerting their enemies, both Iris and Snow did not resist.

With Seth in the room on his own, this was Iris's chance and she was prepared to pull out the Potential Energy Forces at any time if Seth dared to get any closer or attempt to do anything to her.

Since her power was sealed, she would never be able to send the poisonous daggers far enough to harm Seth unless he was close to her.

Hence, under the current circumstances, the Potential Energy Forces seemed more effective.

"Miss Young, let's just cut to the chase! I invited you here for two things! I want the secret recipe for the purified water and the recipes for the alchemical pills sold by Cynthion Group! If you cooperate and hand me the recipes, I'll set you free unscathed!" Seth said as he took a seat by a table inside the room.

"You want the confidential recipes of Elegante Group and Cynthion Group? Dream on!’ Iris scoffed as she realized Seth's true intention.

"Miss Young, you ought to know what's best for you! I'm warning you! Hand the recipes over and save yourself some suffering, or I don't show any mercy!" Seth narrowed his eyes and threatened.

"It's not happening! I don'knowof those recipes, but even if I do, I'll never tell you anything! Just give up!" Iris snorted with a contemptuous expression.

She was telling the truth.

The spiritual dew of Elegante Group and the alchemical pills sold by Cynthion Group were all produced by Leon, so there were never any recipes and it would be impossible for Seth to obtain that information from Iris.

"How stubborn! You asked for him!" Enraged, Seth slammed his palms against the table and stood up to step toward Iris with a vicious look on his face."

"Wh- What are you doing? Don't come any closer!" Iris shouted and backed away.

Though she was prepared to draw the Potential Energy Forces, she still could not help but feel nervous.

"What do you think? I've heard rumors that you and the president of Cynthion Group, Cynthia Shear, have been referred to as the Twin Beauties of the Southern Region! Countless men would kill to spend a night with you! Today's my lucky day and I shall have a taste of one of the Twin Beauties!" Seth barked a laugh and narrowed his eyes evilly.

Ever since Cynthion Group's sales drive, the beauty of Iris and Cynthia were known throughout the entire southern region.

Iris, whose beauty was unparalleled when paired with her elegant demeanor, surpassed Cynthia and became the most beautiful woman that all men desired.

Indeed, rumors did not do Iris's beauty justice and when Seth saw Iris for the first time in Elegante Group a few days ago, he was instantly enslaved by her beauty.

He intended on obtaining the recipes for the alchemical pills and the purified water, before having fun with Iris.

Since Iris refused to cooperate, he decided to change his strategy and have his way with Iris first. Once he tamed Iris in bed, he could imprison her for endless questioning and torture; there was no doubt in his mind that Iris would eventually cave and hand over the recipes.

"Y- You wouldn't dare!" Iris paled and roared, "Seth, I’m warning you! If you dare to lay your hands on me, Leon will skin you alive!"

"Leon? Don't even bring that little bast*rd up! He injured me back in the Black Market and broke my leg the last time I was in Elegante Group. He is my enemy and if there's a chance, I'll make sure he dies screaming!" Seth said ferociously.

Suddenly, he seemed to have thought of something and an excited look appeared on his face. "Iris, if I’m not mistaken, Leon's your boyfriend, right?"

"So what if I am? How's that your business?" Iris said warily and did not see the need in denying the fact that Leon was her boyfriend.

"Wonderful! Leon has the Thompsons backing him up, so there's nothing much I can do with him at the moment, but I can toy with his woman and humiliate him! When he finds out about this, he is going to wish that he's dead!" Seth burst out laughing.

After all that happened between Seth and Leon, Seth developed a deep resentment toward Leon.

If he claimed and tamed Leon's woman, Leon would be devastated.

Not only would Leon be humiliated, he would never be able to salvage his pride in front of Seth and that seemed to be crueler than simply killing Leon.

Seth felt his blood boil with excitement and was about to explode with lust.

"Y- You have no shame!" Iris was so furious that she could pass out.

"Alright, let's not waste time! Come here and I'll give you and teach you how wonderful it is to be in bed with a true man! Once you get a taste of how good I'm in bed, you might just give up on Leon and fall in love with me instead," Seth sneered evilly.

Unable to suppress his animalistic urges any longer, he darted toward Iris to capture her, knowing that Iris's power was sealed and was completely helpless.

Before he could realize his fantasy, what happened next shook him to his core.

"Die, you shameless coward!" Iris gritted her teeth and pulled out the Potential Energy Forces she received from Leon, before sending it toward Seth.

The Potential Energy Force was sent flying at the speed of lightning and was inches away from Seth within a split moment.

"Wh- What on earth is this?!" Seth gaped at the attack.

Never in his imagination would Iris be capable of launching such a powerful attack despite having her power sealed, and he was completely caught by surprise.

Not daring to treat it lightly, he backed away in an attempt to dodge the attack, but the Potential Energy Force was in the Advanced Overlord State, which triumphed over Seth, who was only in the Initial Overlord State.

He was standing far too close to Iris and she caught him by surprise, so he was able to escape the range of the attack and was struck in the chest.

"Baam!"

Seth was instantly sent flying by Iris's Potential Energy Force and slammed onto the ground.

Following the piercing pain he felt in his chest, he spewed a few mouthfuls of blood and slummed on the ground, completely unable to move.

Since he managed to escape a part of the attack and protected his chest with his power in time, he narrowly survived.

Just then, a key fell from his body and landed in front of Iris's eyes as he fell.

"Great!" Iris's eyes lit up when she noticed that it was the car key to Seth's car and realized that she had a chance of escaping.

Without hesitation, she picked up the key and opened the door, before running outside.

"Somebody! Capture that b*tch! Don't let her get away!" Seth widened his eyes and roared in rage.

He instantly realized that Iris was going to run and wanted to get up to stop her, but was far too severely injured to move and could only watch as Iris run out of the room.

As he tried to move, he deepened his injuries and spew another mouthful of blood.

The two guards outside were alerted by the noise and ran inside to find Iris, who was about to escape.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Shocked, the guards instantly lunged at Iris.

"Get out of my way!" Iris was prepared.

As Leon gave her two Potential Energy Forces, she pulled out the remaining one and slashed it toward the guards.

The two were ordinary guards who were in the Semi-Overlord State, so they were powerless in front of the Potential Energy Force.

"Baam!"

Following a deafening sound, the two were sent flying with blood spewing from their mouths the same way Seth did.

Iris did not bother to check on the guards and hurried outside to the yard and found a black luxury car parked by the road that Seth drove when he captured her.

She ran over, knowing that she had a chance of escaping if she could get into the car.

However, reality proved her wrong.

All the noises from the hallway and the angered roars Seth made alerted other martial artists in the mansion.

Since Iris's power was sealed, she was slowed down and by the time she arrived by car, two Golans' guards caught up with her.

"You won't get away!'

The two Golans' guards scoffed.

They were both in the Emperor State and were far superior in terms of speed when compared to Iris.

As soon as Iris opened the car door, one of the guards reached out and grabbed Iris by the shoulder, effectively restraining her.

"It's over!" Seeing how her plan to escape failed, Iris's expression darkened as she was retrained once again.

She heard footsteps approaching and Seth was hurrying outside, all the while suppressing the pain of his injury.

He sighed a breath of relief when he saw that Iris was captured by the guards.

"Iris Young, you b*tch! How dare you attack me?! You must have a death wish!" Seth was livid and strode over viciously.

"W- What do you want?" Fear overwhelmed Iris when she sensed Seth's anger.

She knew that she provoked Seth by injuring him and since she was once again captured, she was bound to suffer for her actions.

"B*tch, I'm going to destroy you!" Enraged, Seth raised his arm to slap Iris across the ace.

"You-" Iris paled and her heart sank as she uncontrollably thought of Leon.

Leon would always appear before her whenever she was in danger, but the current circumstances were different as both Snow and Iris were captured, and Leon was only one man.

Though Iris left a trail behind, Leon might not be able to make it to her in time; even if he did manage to arrive in time, there were countless formidable martial artists guarding the Golans Mansion and since the Golans were far more powerful than the Libertons and Scammells, Leon could hardly fight everyone on his own.

If Leon arrived on his own, not only would he fail to rescue her, he might be captured alongside Iris.

Iris's heart was instantly filled with despite, and that was when things took a sharp turn.

Following noises of something piercing through the air, three daggers darted toward Seth.

"What the-' Seth was stunned and jumped in fear when he turned around to spot the daggers.

He wanted to move away but was slowed down by his injury and the daggers were simply approaching at too high a speed, so he could only watch as they approached.

"Mister Seth, watch out!' Two of the Golans' guards gaped.

One of them acted swiftly and stood before Seth to block the daggers.

"Let her go!" A chilling roar echoed in the air.

Leon swiftly leaped into the air and descended before Seth and the others; his presence intimidating and malicious.

"Leon! Why are you here?" Seth was stunned by Leon's sudden appearance.

He made sure not to leave any trace behind when he captured Iris, so it caught him by surprise that Leon managed to find him so soon.

It was so far beyond his understanding that he struggled to comprehend how Leon managed such a thing.

"Leon, you're finally here. I'm so glad!" Iris said. The despair that overwhelmed her earlier vanished instantly.

However, she soon remembered that they were at the heart of the Golans' territory with countless martial artists in the Emperor State, so Leon might be outnumbered; realization dawned on her and she started to worry for Loen's safety.

"Scram!" Leon ignored Seth and launched a powerful attack at the guard who captured Iris to rescue Iris.

"How dare a puny man in the Overlord State be so arrogant before us?! Die! " The guard who stood before Seth narrowed his eyes viciously.

Since Leon was wielding his spiritual energy, he could not detect Leon's power level but determined that Leon was in the Peak Overlord State at best judging from his speed and explosive power.

The guard long reached the Initial Emperor State a few years ago, so he had no fear for Leon.

He lunged at Leon at the speed of lightning, fully intending to finish Leon off with a single blow.

"Watch out! That brat has an Emperor weapon! Don't fight him!" Seth shouted out, but it was already too late.

"Baam!"

Their attacks clashed and the guard's powerful true energy tore through Leon's attack, before darting toward Leon's chest.

Leon tilted his body slightly to take the attack with the Mirror of Sovereign.

At the same time, he launched a Double Attack, wrapping his fist with his true energy in the Advanced Supreme State, before striking.

"Baam!"

The guard did not expect Leon to survive his attack or launch a second attack so soon.

Without the chance to react, he was instantly sent flying and slammed hard onto the ground.

He spewed blood from his mouth as a sharp pain pierced through his chest and he instantly lost the ability to fight due to the severe internal injuries he suffered.
