The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 1921

"Alright! I'll call my dad now and ask him to summon all the martial artists in our family. Well hunt Leon down and even with the Thompsons on his side, he'll die screaming!" Joel narrowed his eyes maliciously.

Though the Thompsons were the head of all families in the southern region, the Hiltons were comparable to them in terms of influence and wealth.

Joel was only forced to compromise with Yuri because he was the one at fault for what happened to the Elegante Group.

However, the circumstances changed.

Leon went too far to break Seth's legs and destroy his power, so the Hiltons had a proper excuse to seek justice for Seth.

If Yuri and Roanne insisted on getting in their way, they would only find themselves stuck in a difficult position.

Joel fully intended on using this as an excuse to rain all forces down on Leon and eliminate him once and for all.

"By the way, Leon's on his way to rescue Snow, Joel! Should we call Gordon and warn him about it?" Seth asked thoughtfully.

"There's no need for that!” Seth shook his head after considering it.

"Why not?’ Seth was shocked.

Gordon was on the same side as Seth and Gordon and since Leon was on his way to rescue Snow, Gordon was bound to suffer once he was found, so Seth could not understand why Joel would stop him from warning Gordon.

"It's simple. Leon's a vicious man and if he gets to Gordon, Gordon is going to lose a limb or two at the very least! He is the son-in-law of the Hughes, so do you think that the Hughes would forgive Leon for doing such a thing?"

No matter whose fault it was, to begin with, the Hughes would never spare Leon to protect their pride if Leon dared to hurt Gordon the same way he did Seth.

With both the Hughes and the Hiltons after Leon, the Thompsons would be far too overwhelmed to protect Leon.

To conclude, Joel aimed to use Gordon as bait and did not care about what happened to him.

"I see! Cousin, you're brilliant!" Realization dawned on Seth and he gave Joel a thumb-up.

If Gordon knew that he was abandoned by Seth and Joel, he would have regretted everything he did.

"There's no means too despicable if the cause is justified! We need to eliminate Leon, and nothing else matters/ Joel said viciously.

Both he and Seth exchanged knowing looks and burst into laughter as though their victory was certain.

Joel took out his phone to call his father and explained the situation to Sebastian, who hurried home to make arrangements and summon all martial artists in the family to prepare for a war against Leon.

In a luxurious mansion not far from the Hughes Mansion.

Gordon purchased a mansion in this area a few years ago for his convenience.

He was only an in-law and not a direct descendent of the Hughes, and though he stayed in the Hughes Mansion with his wife, his actions were retrained in certain ways, so he bought the mansion for him to entertain his friends without the supervision of the Hughes.

Just then, he drove his car into the yard and opened the door, before dragging Snow out of the car.

He did not whisper a word to Darius or Hughes that he was working with Seth and Joel to kidnap Snow.

Since Darius and Yuri were close, and the Hughes Group was currently partnering with the Elegante Group, it was not an option for him to take Snow to the Hughes Mansion.

Hence, he brought her to his private mansion instead to prevent Darius from noticing what happened.

Meanwhile, in a room inside a mansion.

Gordon brought Snow into a bedroom and locked the door behind him, before letting her go.

"Gordon, why did you go through all that trouble to bring me here?" Snow roared and backed away toward the wall warily.

"Snow, don't get all tense! I'm your ex-boyfriend and I would never hurt you, " Gordon drawled.

"Lies! Why would you kidnap me, then?’ Snow sneered.

"You've misunderstood me! Joel was dead-set on targeting you and Iris. If I didn't propose to capture you myself, you'd suffer a horrible fate at the hands of Joel and Seth! I did this to protect you/ Gordon sighed dramatically.

"What?! A- Are you telling the truth?' Snow was shocked and could not tell if Gordon was lying.

"Of course! I swear!' Gordon said sincerely.

He was indeed being partially truthful as part of the reason he captured Snow was to prevent Seth and Joel from having their ways with her.

"Oh," the tension in Snow's expression eased, "Fine. If what you said is true, Joel and Seth are gone now, so you should be able to let me go, right?’ She asked.

She was no fool and would not simply believe Gordon based on his words alone unless he was willing to let her go immediately.

"Snow, don't worry. I’ll let you go soon, but there are just things that I need to get out of my chest before that," Gordon said.

"What?" Snow relaxed slightly after learning that Gordon intended to let her go.

"I want to apologize to you, Snow. I was wrong for hurting you. I'm sorry. I hope you can forgive me,” Gordon said and bowed at Snow sincerely.

"It's in the past! There's nothing to forgive and I don't need your apology!" Snow said coldly. Still, she felt slightly better than Gordon admitted to his mistakes and apologized forthem.

"I know that you're still mad at me, Snow, but I did what I did for a reason. The Baileys went into bankruptcy and I had no choice but to leave you and marry into the Hughes to help my family. That was never what I want. I've always loved you," Gordon said passionately.

"So what? What's the point of bringing that up right now?" Snow scoffed.

"Of course, there's a point! Snow, seeing you again after all these years has made me realize how important you are to me! If you are willing to forgive me, I'll leave the Hughes and we can start our lives together again, okay?" Gordon said with anticipation.

"What? It's not happening!" Snow was shocked as she did not expect Gordon to ask for another chance in their relationship.

"Why not? Snow, I know that you still have feelings for me and you haven't forgotten about me! I've learned from my mistakes. Can't you just forgive me and give me another chance?" Gordon said.

"No! Gordon, I've said so just now. Some things just cant be corrected once it's in the past! Besides, you married the Hughes because you want their help to restore your family's standing. Have you given up on your family?* Snow questioned emotionally.

Though she did not date Gordon for long, she was a conservative woman and devoted herself to the relationship for a time, or she would not have suffered from heartbreak for years.

Gordon's earnest confession disrupted the peace she found and she could not help but feel her determination wavering.

"It's fine! I've come to realize that my family isn't as important to me as you are! If you're willing to forgive me, we can leave the southern region and be together forever," Gordon said, all the while sneering inwardly.

He kidnapped Snow to obtain the secret recipes for purified water and alchemical pills.

As her ex-boyfriend, he knew her well and knew that she would never give up the recipes if he tried to force her into doing so. Hence, he decided to coax Snow into getting back together with him, before prying the information out of her.

The alchemical pills' recipes held incredible value and with the recipes in his possession, he would gain the respect of Elder Hughes and fulfill his lifelong wish of restoring his family to its former glory.

Once Snow lost her value, he planned on imprisoning her as his secret lover for his entertainment.

"I-" Snow wavered.

However, Leon's face and his towering figure appeared in her mind and she immediately recovered.

She used to date Gordon and she loved him for a time. If he apologized to her some time ago, she might have forgiven him.

However, she already recovered from the heartbreak after spending time with Leon, Iris, and the others, and she learned her lessons.

After all the hardship she went through to get over the pain Gordon caused, she was not about to repeat the same mistake.

"Gordon, if you feel guilty about what you did, let me go right now and well call it even! However, there's no way that well ever get back together!" Snow said with determination.

Though she knew better than to take Gordon back, Gordon's lies were so convincing that she thought he truly saw the fault in his past actions. Hence, her tone eased as she tried to convince Gordon to let her go.

"Why won't you get back together with me?" Gordon was extremely disappointed as he thought that Snow still loved him and that he would only need a few words to convince her to get back together with him.

To his bewilderment, Snow did not fall for it and he was caught by surprise.

"Snow, is it because of Leon? Are you in love with him instead? Is that why you won't get back together with me?” Realization dawned on Gordon.

The first time he saw Leon, Snow once asked for Leon's help to pretend to be her boyfriend, causing him to challenge Leon to a fight and end up being badly beaten.

Since Snow refused to get back together with him, he instinctively felt that it was because Snow fell in love with Leon.

He widened his eyes in jealousy and rage as though Leon took everything he loved away from him.

"What are you talking about? Leon's my godbrother, that's it! he has nothing to do with this!" Snow said sharply.

She knew that Leon was technically the boyfriend of both Iris and Cynthia, so she could not possibly be in love with him.

Still, for reasons she could not begin to understand, she was not overly confident with her answer.

"No way! I don't believe you! You turned me down because of Leon!" Gordon said as jealousy threatened to drive him mad.

"Alright, I don't have time to argue with you! You've already agreed to let me go, and I'd like for you to fulfill that promise!" Snow said coldly, not wishing to continue the argument.

"No! I won't let you go! You're the only woman I've ever loved and I won't let anyone take you from me!" Gordon stared at her with bloodshot eyes.

The grass would always be greener on the other side, and though he was trying to coax Snow into giving him what he wanted, he did love Snow and could not bear seeing her in another man's arms.

"Gordon, what are you talking about? Are you going to break your promise?" Snow paled as she realized that she placed far too much trust in Gordon.

"I'm not trying to break my promise! Snow, you should know that I truly love you. I cant survive without you!” Gordon argued as he stepped toward Snow.

"W- What do you want?" Snow's expression darkened and she backed away as an ominous feeling took over her.

"It's simple. I'll never let you leave me to be with Leon! I'm going to make you mine today, one way or another!" He sneered and narrowed his eyes viciously.

Since his words were not sufficient to change Snow's mind, he decided to take her by force.

He knew that Snow was a conservative woman who valued her chastity.

If he could deflower Snow, he might be able to persuade her into getting back together with him, making it much easier to obtain the secret recipes of purified water and alchemical pills from Snow.

"What?! You! You wouldn't dare! I'm warning you, Gordon, don't come any closer, or I wont show you any mercy!" Snow gaped and instantly stood on guard.

"Is that so? Let's see how you are going to do that! Snow, save yourself the trouble and come here!" Gordon sneered arrogantly.

He knew that Snow's power was sealed and that she was at his mercy, so he did not care about her threats.

Without further hesitation, he darted toward Snow to grab her.

"You asked for this!" Snow gritted out and pulled out the Potential Energy Force Leon gave her, before slashing it across in Gordon's direction.

"What? H- How's this possible?" Gordon gaped in disbelief when he sensed the sheer power in Snow's hands.

Never in his imagination did he believe that Snow would be capable of making such a powerful attack despite having her power sealed.

Not daring to take it lightly, he backed away from the attack, but was far too slow to completely get out of the range of the attack and was instantly sent flying toward the wall behind him.

"Baam!"

As soon as he landed, he spewed blood from his mouth and suffered a certain degree of internal injuries from the attack.

Leon's Potential Energy Forces were only in the Advanced Overlord State, and Gordon long reached the Intermediate Overlord State with only a step away from reaching the Advanced Overlord State. On top of that, he managed to dodge in time so the Potential Energy Force barely scratched him.

"I was so close," Snow’s heart sank when she noticed that Gordon was only slightly injured.

Though Leon gave her two Potential Energy Forces, Gordon was a formidable martial artist and she knew that using the other force on him would not be efficient.

'That's right! Leon gave me something else!' Snow recalled something and retrieved a box from her pocket that contained two poisonous daggers inside.

Since Gordon was injured and defenseless at the moment, she could shoot the daggers out and he would likely be killed.

Just as she was about to act, she hesitated.

Gordon used to be her lover and he seemed to truly regret his mistakes in the past, so death did not seem to be a just punishment.

As a woman, she tended to be more understanding and sentimental, so she found it hard to kill Gordon.

Taking advantage of her hesitation, Gordon got up from the ground and backed away to keep a distance from her.

"W- What's in your hand?’ He noticed that Snow was pointing a box at him and an ominous feeling overwhelmed him.

"Gordon, this box contains poisonous daggers that Leon gave me! The poison on the daggers is extremely lethal and would kill you within seconds! If you know what's best for yourself, you'll let me go, or I'll show you no mercy!" She warned and aimed the box at him to threaten him into letting her go.

"What?!’ Gordon did not expect Snow to have so many tricks in protecting herself.

Knowing that he would die if Snow attacked with the daggers, his heart sank and he instantly gave up on claiming Snow as his.

"Snow, it was all just a misunderstanding. Don't shoot the daggers out of the box! If you want to leave, I'll let you go! I won't stop you!" He smiled sheepishly, his arrogance from the earlier exchange vanishing without a trace.

"Good! Move over to the side. Don't get close to me or get in my way!’ Snow relaxed and instructed him to move away as she moved closer to the door while aiming the box at him.

"Snow, wait!" Gordon called out when Snow was right by the door.

"What else do you want?’ She questioned coldly without letting her guard down.

"Well, here's my car key! It's easier for you to leave in my car," Gordon offered sincerely.

"Oh, okay, then. Throw it over!" Snow said thoughtfully.

Her power was sealed and she dared not to allow Gordon close enough to unseal her power. Hence, it would be much easier for her to leave by car once she obtained Gordon's car key.

In the next instant, Gordon did not hesitate and tossed his car key into the air toward Snow, who reached out to catch it.

"Snow, hand the weapons over!" He sneered before launching an attack at Snow’s wrist.

"Wh- How despicable!" Snow did not expect Gordon to attack and aimed the box at him once again, trying to shoot the daggers in his direction. However, her power was sealed and she was one step too late.

Before she could release the daggers, a sharp pain pierced through her wrist, and the box in her hand was sent flying to the distance by Gordon's true energy.

He then swiftly grabbed the box from the ground.

"It's over," Snow's heart sank.

Contrary to her despair, Gordon burst out laughing. ’Snow, your daggers are with me now! Let's see what else you can do!" He said, before putting the box away smugly.

"Gordon, wh- what is the meaning of this?" Snow questioned sharply.

"It's simple. I said so earlier. I'll make you mine today!” Gordon sneered and stepped toward Snow.

"Bast*rd! You said that you realized your own mistakes, and this is how you repent for them?!" Snow roared.

"Well/ Gordon was instantly rendered speechless.

"I thought you meant what you said. So it was all just a lie!" Snow was increasingly furious as she spoke.

Even a fool could tell that Gordon was only toying with her and did not see any fault in his actions.

"That's right. I was lying to you!" Gordon did not bother to argue and admitted to it.

"Why you! Damn it! Go on, then. What exactly is it that you are after for coaxing me?" Snow glared daggers at him.

"Well, since you insist on knowing, I don't mind telling you the truth. If you are willing to give up the recipes for Elegante Group's purified water and Cynthion Group's alchemical pills, I may consider letting you go!" Gordon said.

"So you've been after that all along!" Snow sneered fiercely.

"That's right! Snow, let's just cut to the chase! You are in high management in Elegante Group and Leon's god sister, so I'm certain that you know the recipes for Elegante Group's purified water and Cynthion Group's alchemical pills! Offer the recipes to me and I promise to let you go unscathed. How does that sound?" Gordon swore, determined to fool Snow into giving him the recipes before he could do as he pleased with Snow.

"Forget it! I might as well tell you the truth, but all those recipes are kept in Leon's brain and no one else knows anything about them! Don't waste your time!*' Snow said coldly.

"You don't know anything? That’s not possible. I don't believe you!" Gordon shook his head.

He knew how close Snow and Leon were, so even if Snow did not know all the recipes, she should know at least half of them.

"Believe what you want to! Besides, I'd never tell you anything even if I do know those recipes!" Snow sneered.

"Why would you do this to yourself, Snow? If you refuse to corporate, you can't blame me for what I'm about to do!’ His expression darkened as he approached Snow.

"What are you doing? Don't come any closer," She paled and backed away until her back was pressed against the wall.

"Let's not waste any time! You never let me touch you when we used to date! This is the perfect chance for me to do what I've always wanted!

Once you are mine, I'm sure you will tell me everything you know!" Gordon sneered devilishly.

"Dream on! I'd rather die than let you touch me!" Snow roared, her heart sinking in despair.

It had been some time since she was captured by Cordon and she thought that Leon would follow the trail of Soul Searcher to her, but he was nowhere to be found.

She knew that Leon was likely rescuing Iris and was unable to come to her rescue.

Devastated, she had the intention of taking her own life to avoid being defiled by Gordon, or she would live in agony for the rest of her life.

"Trying to kill yourself? I won't let you! Just come over here!" Gordon was concerned that Snow would actually take her own life and immediately darted toward her before she had the chance to react.

"You have no shame!" Seeing how she did not even have the chance to take her own life, Snow gaped and found herself overwhelmed by despair.

However, the tables were turned the next moment.

"Baam!"

The bedroom door was kicked open and collapsed onto the ground, followed by the appearance of a towering figure.

"What??" Shocked, Gordon turned around and was instantly terrified by the sight. "D- Darius!!" 1

Instantly, Gordon was stunned.

"Mister Hughes?" Snow was surprised as well as she saw Darius standing before them.

"Bast*rd, what do you think you are doing?!" Darius was livid when he saw that Gordon was about to grab Snow and instantly released his energy at Gordon.

"Baam!"

Gordon was not given the chance to react and was sent flying, before spewing blood from his mouth when he landed on the ground.

Since Darius only meant to stop him from assaulting Snow, he did not attack in full force, or Gordon would have suffered more than a little injury.

Darius ignored Gordon and strode over to Snow worriedly. "Miss Poole, are you alright? Has he injured you in any way?"

"I'm fine, but why are you here, Mister Hughes?" Snow asked in confusion.

"Well, Mister Wolf asked for my help to rescue you," Darius explained.

Though this was Gordon's personal property, Darius knew a lot about Gordon as his brother-in-law.

As soon as he received the call from Leon, he immediately sent his men to look into Gordon's location and found out shortly after that Gordon brought Snow to his mansion. Hence, Darius immediately hurried over by a car.

"I see!" realization dawned on her and she beamed in relief.

She wished for Leon to come to her rescue; though he failed to arrive in time, he managed to get Darius' help to save her from Gordon and she could not begin to describe her excitement.

"Miss Poole, Gordon has offended you! Don’t worry, I'll get him to apologize to you!’ Darius said, before turning to glare at Gordon sternly. "Get over here, you little bast*rd, and break your arm as an apology to Miss Poole!" "What?!" Gordon gaped.

He did not know why Darius would appear all of a sudden, but he was about to claim Snow and there was a high chance for him to obtain the commercial secrets of the Elegante Group and Cynthion Group. To his bewilderment, Darius barged in and destroyed his plan.

Darius did not give him any chance to explain himself and injured him right away, before demanding that he break his arm to apologize to Snow.

Gordon knew that he agreed to apologize, he would be admitting to the crimes he committed and both Darius and Elder Hughes would have him punished.

Knowing that he could not bear the consequences of his actions, he argued, "Darius, listen to me. This is all just a misunderstanding!"

Since Snow did not suffer any actual damage, he intended on arguing his way out of bearing any responsibility.

"Bullsh*t! I can see what happened, so how's this a misunderstanding? Just break your arm and apologize to Miss Poole! Have you gone deaf?!" Furious, Darius roared.

"Darius, just let me explain," Gordon was upset that he was not given the chance to explain himself.

"There's nothing to explain! I'll only say this one last time. Get your arse over here and break your arm to apologize to Miss Poole!" Darius roared in fury.

Gordon tempered with Elegante Group's cosmetic products a few days ago, and Darius was forced to negotiate with Leon in the hope of protecting Gordon. In the end, Leon decided to spare Gordon out of respect for Darius and the Hughes Group.

Not only did Gordon not learn his lesson, but his action also escalated and he went as far as to kidnapping Snow, 1

Darius knew that he could not protect Gordon the second time and if he handed Gordon over to Leon, Leon would destroy Gordon.

Despite what Gordon did, he was still Darius' brother-in-law, so that was the last thing Darius wish to see. Hence, he insisted that Gordon break his arm to apologize so that Snow would forgive him before Leon hurried over.

Since Snow was not injured, Leon might vent his anger on Gordon but would spare his life out of respect for the Hughes and Darius would be able to answer Leon concerning the incident.

Frankly, he was trying to protect Gordon, but Gordon did not understand his effort and insisted on arguing.

"No way! Seth and Joel wanted to attack Snow and I brought her here to protect her. Besides, I didn't do anything wrong or hurt her, so why should I have to apologize to her?" Gordon retorted stubbornly.

"Are you seriously still arguing after all that you've done? Do you have a death wish? If you won't break your arm, I'll help you with that!" Furious, Darius strode toward Gordon.

"Darius, I'm not arguing. I'm telling the truth! I'm your brother-in-law! Why would you believe an outsider over me?!" Terrified, Gordon fumbled up and backed away.

During both incidents when Elegante Group's products were swapped and when Snow was captured, Darius sided with Leon and injured Gordon twice with no mercy.

At this moment, Darius was about to break his arm as an apology to Snow, and Gordon could not help but resent Darius for it.

"You scum, just how shameless can you be? I would've killed you right here and now if you weren't my brother-in-law!" Sensing no remorse from Gordon, Darius was livid.

Without further delay, he darted forward and reached for Gordon's arm to break it by force so that he could answer Snow and Leon.
