"Well, his name is Chandler Quinn, and he's another treasure Hunter," Henry explained.
Back in his younger days, he, the Scarlet Thief, and Chandler formed a trio in search of treasure, and as luck would have it, they managed to stumble upon a long-lost power method that belonged to the Ultimate Power class!
Although the Scarlet Thief ended up snatching the power method and claiming it for his own, he was blinded in one eye by Henry and Chandler during the process.
Ever since then, the three of them turned into mortal enemies, and unfortunately, Chandler also fell victim to the Scarlet Thiefs revenge a few years ago. Although Chandler managed to escape, albeit just barely, his poor family were not so lucky; Chandler was the only survivor of this cruelty.
Ever since that day, the Scarlet Thief made it his life's mission to track both Henry and Chandler down for revenge!
During this time, Henry got in touch with Chandler and they decided to gang up against the Scarlet Thief to avenge their family’s deaths. After making sure that young Sherlyn was in good hands, Henry and Chandler then managed to track the Scarlet Thief down, intending to end this vengeance once and for all!
Unfortunately, the Scarlet Thief was far too powerful, and even after intense combat, neither of them managed to
defeat him. On the contrary, the Scarlet Thief even managed to injure Chandler severely and even crippled one of his legs!
It was Henry who had to carry Chandler on his back while they made their hasty escape, otherwise, they would have died long ago!
Even now, neither of them dared to take on the challenge of defeating the Scarlet Thief once again, and they could not help feeling despair because of this.
Ever since that, Chandler decided to go into hiding to evade the Scarlet Thief's capture, while at the same time trying to level up in his training so that he would be a better match against the Scarlet Thief in the future!
Whereas Henry, on the other hand, could not possibly go into hiding with his granddaughter, so instead he decided to change their names and identities, moving around frequently so that the Scarlet Thief would not be able to track them down.
"Oh, I understand now!" Leon gasped in realization after listening to Henry's story.
"Mister Wolf, although I haven't seen Chandler in a few years now and am thus not familiar with his current situation, he has always been a better and more powerful martial artist than I was If my guesses are correct, he will probably have attained the Semi-Almighty State by now, and perhaps even the Initial Almighty State. If you're willing to overlook the fact that he's crippled in one leg, I can arrange for a meeting with him to join your forces," Henry said with an expectant look.
He knew of Chandler's whereabouts, and thus it would not be difficult to find him if he wanted!
Besides, if Leon was willing to recruit Chandler to join their forces, then help Chandler attain greater power in his training, he was certain that the three of them combined would be able to defeat the Scarlet Thief once and for all!
However, since Chandler was crippled in one leg, he had to bring that up out of consideration that Leon would not want to recruit him for this reason!
"So what if he's crippled in one leg? It doesn't matter to me! I'd very much like to meet him!" Leon said after some thought. He was desperate to recruit as many warriors into his troops as possible, so he did not see much of a problem with Chandler's condition.
Besides, he could not help pitying the old man a little, and if Chandler's condition was not too serious, Leon thought he might even be able to help with his medical expertise!
In conclusion, he could easily straighten these things out once he met Chandler!
"Very well then! I shall bring you to meet him tomorrow!" Henry was delighted to hear this.

The next morning, Leon, Henry, Sherlyn, and Mason, who was in charge of driving, departed to meet Chandler.
As for Iris, Cynthia, and the rest of the girls, they decided to stay behind and catch up on work with John, Stephen, and Spencer looking after them.
After ingesting the alchemical pills, Stephen and Spencer advanced tremendously in their martial arts training.
Combined with the fact that John was already an Almighty Warrior, Leon was not at all worried about Iris and Cynthia's safety under their watch!
Besides, Roanne moving in to live with them also brought them a significant advantage; she was the heiress of the Thompson family, and with her presence there, neither the Southern Boss nor the Hiltons would dare to attack them, knowing the consequences of messing with the Thompsons!
After all, they would not dare, not in their right minds, to attack Iris, Cynthia, or the rest, for fear that they would harm Roanne during the process and be the target of the Thompsons' retaliation!
With Henry leading the way, Mason drove them to the foot of a lush, secluded hill.
A simple hut was built at the foot of the hill, with a quaint little vegetable garden in the front yard. Apart from this, the entire hut was surrounded by trees and bushes, making it look as though it was part of a quaint, beautiful scenery.
Leon and the rest got out of the car and strode over to the front door.
"Are you home, Chandler? I've come to visit you," Henry shouted toward the hut.
"Creak-"
All of a sudden, the front door was flung open, and a skinny, rather frail-looking man in his mid-seventies stepped out, limping with a cane.
"It's been so long, Henry," the man replied in a hoarse voice. A glimmer of delight flashed through his otherwise calm eyes at the sight of his old friend.
However, the smile soon froze on his face when he caught sight of the two unfamiliar men standing behind Henry.
"Who are these two, Henry?" the man cast a cold look at Leon and Mason.
This was his little island of tranquility, and after living by himself for so many years, he grew used to the peace and did not enjoy being intruded upon like this.
Therefore, he could not help feeling a little displeased at Henry's sudden arrival and his bringing along two strangers.
"Chandler, let me introduce you. This is the President of Cynthion Group, President Wolf. This, on the other hand, is his helper, Mason Shelton," Henry introduced them to each other.
"Nice to meet you, Elder Quinn," Leon gave him a polite smile as he greeted him.
"Cynthion Group? I've never heard of that in my life!" Chandler frowned, not paying any attention to this young man at all.
Although he lived by himself, he learned to grow his own vegetable garden and could easily satisfy his own dietary needs!
Unfortunately, he still needed some necessities that he was unable to provide himself, and thus would visit the nearest town that was a few miles away every couple of months to replenish his daily supplies.
During his visits, he would also seize the opportunity to catch up on news of the Gangster World, especially news of the Scarlet Thiefs whereabouts!
As for the newly established Cynthion Group, he never once heard of them, and did not care forthem at all!

"What brings you here today, Henry?" Chandler decided to change the topic. Usually, whenever Henry popped by for a visit, he would be delighted to welcome his old friend, but this time, Henry brought over some uninvited guests, and it was clear they had ulterior motives.
This made Chandler a little displeased, and it was evident in his attitude toward Henry.
"Well, President Wolf here intends to recruit some SemiAlmighty or Almighty Warriors to join his corporation, Cynthion Group. Now that I've already joined his forces, I was wondering if you'd be willing to join us as well," Henry explained truthfully.
"Join him? I'm not interested in that!" Chandler shook his head and turned him down without a moment's hesitation.
All his loved ones died at the hands of the cruel Scarlet Thief, leaving him the only survivor. All these years, he spent lonesome days planning the perfect revenge, intending to avenge his family's deaths!
This was the only thing keeping him alive, and now that he was yet to carry out his perfect revenge, he had no time to dally in nonsense like this!
Besides, Leon was a young man, and did not appear at all like anyone he could rely on for help!
Therefore, no matter how attractive of an offer Leon was willing to make, Chandler would not accept it at all!
"Chandler, although Leon's a young man, single-handedly established a powerful corporation, and his talent and potential are unmatched. He's not afraid of the Scarlet Thief at all and is willing to take us in and give us everything we need. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," When he sensed Chandler's hostility, Henry quickly tried to persuade Chandler into changing his mind, but before he could even finish his sentence, Chandler interrupted him.
"So what?" he scoffed. He was familiar with the Scarlet Thiefs capabilities, and his cruelty and malice were unmatched!
Chandler did not think that a young, naive man like Leon would not fear someone as ruthless as the Scarlet Thief. He was probably just cocky as a result of never having witnessed such cruelty in his life before!
Chandler could not seem to wrap his head around why Henry would be willing to join Leon's forces and even appear to admire this young man very much!
Could Henry have gone crazy out of his desperation for revenge?
"Listen to me, Chandler! Mister Wolf is a kind and generous host; ever since I joined Cynthion Group, he not only passed on the methods of the Ultimate Power class to me but even helped me advance my training to the Almighty State. If you wish to join us, he will gladly do the same for you. When that happens, you and I will finally be able to join forces and defeat the Scarlet Thief once and for all!" Henry could not help panicking a little when he sensed Chandler's ongoing hostility and decided to come clean with the truth.
"Methods of the Ultimate Power class? Almighty State?" Chandler echoed in shock. He knew just how valuable the methods belonging to the Ultimate Power class were; these were the most priceless of all the powerful methods in the Southern region!
He never once imagined that a young, nameless man like Leon would not only have such great power but even be willing to pass it on to Henry!
This was unbelievable!

"I don't need any of that! I've already got my hands on the power methods belonging to the Ultimate Power class, and I've managed to ascend to the Almighty State all by myself! I don't need anyone to help me anymore!" Chandler finally turned Henry down once more.
"What? You've already got your hands on methods of the Ultimate Power Class? How can that be?" Henry was stunned to hear this. He was more than familiar with Chandler's situation. Chandler, like him, used to practice the powerful methods of the Advanced Power class.
This was why after robbing the power methods of the Ultimate Power class from them, the Scarlet Thief managed to overpower them so quickly and even killed all their loved ones so easily!
However, Henry could not understand how Chandler managed to ascend to the Ultimate Power class all by himself.
"Nothing's impossible! I spent years and years researching and finetuning the power methods until eventually, I broke through to the Ultimate Power class," Chandler replied.
The Semi-Almighty and Almighty States were eons apart in their training, and the Advanced Power class usually only correlated to the Semi-Almighty State. Even if one were already in the Advanced Power class, this did not translate to the ability to ascend to the Almighty State.
Because of this, Chandler were stuck in the Semi-Almighty State for a very long time, but at the thought of his loved ones'tragic deaths at the hands of the Scarlet Thief, he finally managed to break through to the Almighty State with sheer determination and hard work!
Besides that, after breaking through to a new power level in martial arts training, martial artists usually also possessed the newfound ability to ascend to another power class in their training methods. Therefore, after ascending to the Almighty State, Chandler was soon able to break through to the Ultimate Power class by developing new powerful methods of his own!
This could be done by intense modification of one's preexisting power method or even by developing new ones of their own!
Since he lived all by himself in the secluded countryside with no distractions, Chandler was able to pour all his time and effort into coming up with new power methods that brought him to the Ultimate Power class!
"I see!" Henry gasped in admiration when he understood this. He, like Chandler, also possessed excruciating vengeance toward the Scarlet Thief, but Chandler managed to hone this hatred into newfound capabilities, like breaking through to the Almighty State and developing new power methods all by himself!
He had to admit that Chandler was far more admirable than him in this sense!
"What a strong and determined man!" Leon could not help muttering in awe at this. He heard of outstanding martial artists accomplishing such impressive feats before, but this was his first time coming face-to-face with someone who did so!
Although one of Chandler's legs were crippled by the Scarlet Thief, he still managed to create miracles through sheer determination and hard work!
This was not something that any ordinary person could accomplish!
"Henry, let's just cut to the chase. I'll gladly welcome you if you've come to visit and catch up about old times, but if you're just trying to convince me to join this President Wolf of yours, I suggest you give up! I do not intend to ask anyone for help, so you'd better leave!" Chandler replied calmly.

"Um," Henry did not know what to do when he saw that Chandler was still unwilling to change his mind. He was worried about Leon discriminating against Chandler on account of his disability, but he never once imagined that Chandler, on the other hand, would turn out to be the one unwilling to join Leon's forces!
This was beyond any of his wildest dreams!
"Don't be so cocky, old man! President Wolf, here's an outstanding man with great potential for his future, and you should be honored that he's willing to take you in!" Mason piped up, unable to stomach this any longer. He was more than familiar with Leon's capabilities, not to mention Leon's generosity toward his subordinates. Leon would never hesitate to share any precious alchemical pills or good stuff with his subordinates, and he was certain that Chandler would benefit greatly should he choose to join Leon's side!
However, he could not believe that even after extending such kindness to him, Chandler would continue to act so arrogantly and even threaten to kick him out of his home!
As Leon's first-in-command, he could not bear to see Leon being treated so disrespectfully!
"Honor? I don't need any of this honor! Just because you're willing to take pity on other people doesn't mean I should be obliged to accept it!" Chandler scoffed at this.
He already attained the Ultimate Power class two years ago, and after two years of training, he was now not too far off from attaining the Intermediate Almighty State, which was the same power level as the Scarlet Thief!
All Chandler wanted to do now was continue his training so that he could attain the Intermediate Almighty State as soon as possible and surpass the Scarlet Thief!
When that happened, he could finally defeat the Scarlet Thief and avenge his family's deaths!
This was his dying wish!
If he were to join Leon's side, however, he would no longer have the time or space to practice his martial arts!
Besides, he got used to being on his own and greatly enjoyed this life of freedom. He was not willing to throw all that away to become someone's subordinate!
"You!" Mason was outraged to hear the contempt in Chandler's tone. Just as he was about to rattle off a few insults. However, Leon stopped him. "Don't be rude, Mason!"
"Um, okay!" seeing that Leon put his foot down, Mason did not dare to say anything further. Instead, he swallowed his pride and anger as best as he could and remained quiet.
"Mister Wolf, Chandler has always been a very blunt person, and he didn't mean to offend you. Please don't hold this against him," Henry said rather hastily. He was still hoping that Chandler would change his mind and join Leon's forces so that they could bring down the Scarlet Thief together!
Besides, knowing the true extent of Leon's power, he was worried that Chandler's rudeness would offend him and make him think twice about recruiting Chandler!
"It's okay! I'll handle this, Elder Yates!" Leon smiled nonchalantly. He desperately needed to recruit a few martial artists to reinforce the Elegante Group and Cynthion Group's security; not only was Chandler an Almighty Warrior, but his determination was so strong that he managed to develop new powerful methods of the Ultimate Power class by himself!
He admired Chandler's determination greatly and grew even more certain that he wanted a man like this on his team!
It was reasonable of Chandler to look down on him and refuse to accept his offer on account of his young age, and he did not take this to heart at all!

"Elder Quinn, the reason I came over is that I truly want to recruit you into joining Cynthion Group. Don't worry, as long as you’re willing to join us, I'll find a way to kill the Scarlet Thief and avenge your loved ones' deaths," Leon said earnestly as he fixated his gaze on Chandler's face.
"You're going to help us kill the Scarlet Thief? What a joke! Hey, you punk, do you know just how powerful he is? He's one of the highest-ranking criminals on the Criminal List, and isn’t someone that you should mess with! I accept your kindness, but I don't intend to ask anyone for help, so please show yourselves out!" Chandler snapped in response.
Although Leon was behaving very earnestly, he still could not help generalizing Leon as a cocky young man based on his claims.
With that, he decided not to entertain Leon any further and instead limped back towards his house, intending to shut the door on them in hopes they would go away!
"Elder Quinn, let's not talk about the Scarlet Thief for now! if you're willing to join Cynthion Group, I can cure your leg right now. I wonder if you'd be interested in that?" Leon added calmly as he watched Chandler walk back towards the house.
"What?" Chandler could not believe his ears. He paused in his footsteps, then turned around. "Are you serious when you said you can cure my leg?" he asked with a sharp tone.
A glimmer of excitement crept into his otherwise calm and unfaltering eyes.
Although he was not too far behind the Scarlet Thief in terms of his power, he was still disabled by his crippled leg. Even if he did manage to catch up with the Scarlet Thief, he would still be at a significant disadvantage during combat!
However, this Leon Wolf was claiming that he could help him cure his leg! This had no doubt ignited newfound hope within him.
If his leg was cured, this would not only be the solution to his longstanding mobility problem but would even increase his chances of triumphing against the Scarlet Thief!
Defeating the Scarlet Thief was no doubt the most important thing he had to accomplish during his lifetime!
"Yes, I'm serious! I'm well-versed in medicine, and if my estimation is correct, there's a seventy-percent chance that I'll be able to cure your leg! However, to be specific, I need to first examine your leg for an accurate picture," Leon replied solemnly. Although he was yet to inspect Chandler's leg, he could tell from Chandler's general appearance that his leg was not too severely injured at all!
With his medical expertise, it would not be too difficult to cure Chandler at all!
"I didn't know Mister Wolf is a doctor too," Henry was a little surprised by this. He knew that apart from being an outstanding alchemist, Leon was also a talented martial artist, but this was his first time hearing of Leon's expertise in medicine.

"No one better than him? That's the most outrageous thing I've ever heard!" Chandler was dubious when he heard this.
He initially got his hopes up about Leon's ability to cure his leg, but after hearing Mason praise him so much, he could not help wondering if Mason was truly the most objective person to make this claim.
Besides, medicine was a field that required years and years of experience, and usually, the older a doctor was, the more knowledgeable they were!
Leon, on the other hand, was too young to have possibly gained much experience in the medical field!
Chandler could not help feeling a little doubtful and started wondering if Leon was just being cocky again.
"Well, I wouldn't dare to say that, but I'm certain that I'll be able to help you in some way or another! You can find out soon enough after I've taken a look at your leg," Leon replied, trying to stay humble.
"Well, okay then! Unfortunately, I don't have any herbs here with me, but if you need anything, I can always go to the nearby town to get some supplies," Chandler said rather dubiously. Although he was skeptical of Leon's skills, he had to admit that Leon was right; he would find out soon enough after letting Leon examine him!
"There's no need to go to so much trouble! I can cure you even without herbs or any medicine!" Leon replied, looking rather proud of himself.
"Without herbs or medicine? You must be joking!" Chandler was stunned to hear this, he could not understand how Leon would be able to cure him without using any medicine.
"I'm not joking! I'm going to use pressure point treatment on you to first unblock all the internal circulation within your legs, and we can decide whether or not to use the herbs later," Leon replied, smiling. At this point, he could already tell that Chandler likely suffered some nerve damage and blockage of his internal circulation which led to his disability.
Only rare herbs like Panax ginseng or Salvia ginseng were capable of helping Chandler unblock his internal circulation and restore nerve function in his legs. To cure Chandler fully, Leon knew that he needed to get his hands on some precious herbs, including a wild Panax of at least two centuries' age!
There was no way that the nearby town where Chandler usually got his supplies from had valuable wild Panax like this in stock, and he did not want to waste Chandler's effort for nothing!
Therefore, Leon intended to temporarily cure Chandler's condition with pressure point treatment. As for restoring his nerve function, he would have to wait until he collected all the necessary ingredients before he could start doing so!

On the contrary, if Leon failed, this would give him to perfect excuse to kick Leon out and forbid him from coming again!
"Alright, I promise!" Leon agreed.

With that, Leon instructed Mason to pull a chair over and gestured for Chandler to sit.
"Elder Quinn, please give me your hand. I'd like to do a quick check," Leon instructed.
"Alright." Chandler extended his arm toward Leon obediently.
After checking Chandler’s pulse, Leon proceeded to tear Chandler's pant leg open to inspect his wound.
It did not take him long to figure out the root of Chandler's problem!
As he initially thought, Chandler's wound was a result of severe nerve damage and blocked internal circulation of his leg. Unfortunately, since he delayed seeking medication for so long, his calf muscles already began to atrophy as a result of longstanding muscle wasting.
Chandler's condition was far more severe than Leon initially thought, but thankfully, although most doctors would call it quits, Leon was so knowledgeable that this would not be hard for him to treat at all!
With that, he employed the Eternity Compression Method and channeled his energy into a few pressure points around Chandler's calf.
The Eternity Compression Method was capable of releasing pent-up energy within the Twelve Channels, including the
blocked internal circulation of Chandler's leg.
The true energy surged from Leon's fingers into the various pressure points on Chandler's leg, gradually unblocking the pent-up circulation!
After some time, Leon changed his tactic and employed the Earthly Compression Method-one of the trio that formed the Three Axis Compression Methods!
The Three Axis Compression Method was divided into the Earthly, the Heavenly, and the Central Compression Methods, each with a distinct anatomical region corresponding to it. The head belonged to the Heavenly Compression Method, whereas the trunk and everything below the hips belonged to the Central and Earthly Compression Methods respectively!
Since the Earthly Compression Method ruled over the legs, this was the perfect one to use in healing Chandler's ailment!
'This punk seems to know his stuff,’ Chandler thought to himself as he watched Leon work his magic. He was skeptical of Leon up until now, but after witnessing Leon's confidence in employing his pressure point treatment, he could not help changing his mind about this young man!
However, on second thought, he realized that since he defaulted medical attention for so many years now, it was highly likely that his condition got so bad it was past the point of return. Not even skilled and experienced doctors could cure him, so why was he expecting a young man like Leon to be able to do so?
Even if Leon knew a thing or two about medicine, there was no way he could possibly cure him entirely!
However, before he could even finish this thought, a miracle happened!
All of a sudden, a surge of warmth spread through Leon's palm as the energy from Chandler's wound gushed out of his leg like a strip of crimson ribbon!
"Splendid! It went perfectly!" Leon let out an exhale, beads of sweat covering his forehead. It was clear he used quite a bit of his energy to cure Chandler's condition.
After this pressure point treatment, he successfully unblocked all of Chandler's internal circulation and managed to cure most of Chandler's wounds.
Unfortunately, since they did not have any herbs at hand, he was unable to start curing Chandler's nerve damage, and he would have to do so after getting his hands on the necessary herbs from the Scammells! He was certain that it would only take a few more pressure point treatments before Chandler was cured completely!

"What? I'm cured? Do my ears deceive me?" Chandler could not believe his ears! Although he was not at all familiar with medicine, one thing was clear-curing someone would certainly not be as easy as this!
Judging by the severity of his condition, he was certain that he would at least need three to five months' rehabilitation to regain some function, if any at all, in his leg, even if he went to a large district hospital!
However, Leon was claiming that he cured him entirely just based on a few pressure points treatment! This was unbelievable, to say the least!
Chandler could not help feeling dubious at this, unsure of whether Leon was telling the truth or just trying to mess with him!
"Yes, it's true! Elder Quinn, you can stand up and try to take a few steps," Leon explained.
"Well, alright then! I'd like to see what tricks you have up your sleeve!" Chandler scoffed. He did not think it was possible that Leon could have cured him in just a few minutes!
This was not possible!
With that, he stood up and took a step forward. As he did so, a wave of prickling pain surged into his injured calf. He could not help staggering backward when he felt this and plopped back into his chair.
"What's going on? Could Mister Wolf have made a mistake?" Mason and Henry were both stunned by this, especially Henry; he never witnessed Leon in action before, and so he could not help wondering if Leon was the real deal. He, like Chandler, did not think it was possible of Leon to cure Chandler so easily!
Not only that, but Leon did not even use any herbs or medicine to do so, so it was highly likely that he failed!
There was no other explanation for this!
However, before he could even finish this thought, Chandler burst into laughter. "Splendid! This is splendid! I've finally regained sensation in my broken leg! This is a miracle!"
Chandler's boisterous laughter was filled with delight and shock. Ever since he got injured, he lost all sensation in his leg, not to mention his motor abilities.
This was why he was forced to get around using a cane.
However, after Leon's treatment, he not only regained the sensation but even managed to take one step forward!
Although he ended up back in his chair, he was still certain that this meant Leon's treatment worked, and that his leg was already many times better than it used to be!
One could only imagine his joy and excitement at this!
"Elder Quinn, you were too excited just now! Since you've just recovered, you shan't move too hastily. Please be careful and try to take another step-slowly, this time," Leon reminded him.
"Oh, okay!" Chandler tried to stifle his hopefulness as best as he could, then gingerly stood up from his chair, holding onto the armrest.
Then, he placed one foot forward, then the other, and managed to complete a few steps, limping slightly.

The prickling sensation was a result of his longstanding nerve damage. Since Leon was yet to begin treating his nerve damage with the necessary herbs, the best he could do now was take a few small steps forward and backward. He still needed to go through a few rounds of treatment to regain full function in his legs.

"How are you feeling now, Chandler? Have you gotten cured? " Henry was stunned by the sight of Chandler strutting around without his cane. He knew full well how severe Chandler's injury was; he got crippled during combat against the Scarlet Thief and had a minuscule if any at all, chance of recovering!
He never once imagined that Leon would be able to cure Chandler with just a few minutes of pressure point treatment!
He never saw such an impressive feat before, and he would never have believed it to be true if he did not witness it with his own two eyes!
"Yes, more or less. Apart from some prickling sensation in my calf, everything seems to be fine," Chandler replied in excitement. He was grinning from ear to ear in sheer joy, a stark contrast from his hostility as displayed before.
He finally realized that Leon told the truth and that he was truly capable of curing him entirely!
However, he jumped to conclusions and underestimated this young man!
"Elder Quinn, the prickling sensation you mentioned is a result of longstanding nerve damage, and to fix this, I need to get my hands on a two-hundred-year-old Panax ginseng with other valuable herbs. Unfortunately, I don't have them with me now and thus cannot begin treating you yet, but don't worry, I'll return once I've gathered the necessary ingredients and continue treating you. In a week, or ten days at most, your leg will be as good as new," Leon explained, smiling.
"Splendid! I mean. President Wolf, thank you for curing me! I'll keep your kindness to heart and forever be grateful for your help," Chandler's delight was written all over his face. With that, he gave Leon a bow to display his gratitude.
"Don't thank me, Elder Quinn! Now that I've already started curing your leg, I'll continue to do so until you've fully recovered! Of course, keeping in mind our agreement just now, I sincerely hope you'll stick to your end of the promise and join Cynthion Group,” Leon tried to change the subject.
"Um," Chandler felt all his joy and excitement dissipate at the mention of this.
"What's wrong? Is there a problem?" Leon could not help wondering when he sensed Chandler's hesitation.
"President Wolf, I'm afraid I won't be able to do that," Chandler finally muttered after some hesitation.
"You won't be able to do that? Why? Are you going back on your word?" Leon asked sharply. He initially thought that after curing Chandler, he would stick to his word and join Cynthion Group. He never once imagined that Chandler would turn back on his promise!
This was way beyond his expectations, and he could not help feeling displeased at Chandler for this!
"What's going on, Chandler? How can you betray Mister Wolf like this when he's been so kind to you?" Henry was equally as displeased by this. He was friends with Chandler for so long that he knew how highly Chandler held his integrity, so he could not understand why Chandler would do such a thing!
"President Wolf, please hear me out. I'm not trying to go back on my word. It's just that the Scarlet Thief is so powerful and so ruthless. I'm worried my joining Cynthion Group will bring you only harm and chaos. You've been so kind as to cure my leg for me, and I can't possibly repay you with this," Chandler explained, sighing.
