"I see!" Leon and Henry both gasped in realization when they understood Chandler's refusal to join them.
Leon's tight expression began to relax when he discovered that Chandler had good reason to do so.
"Don't worry, Elder Quinn. He's just the Scarlet Thief, and he's no match for me! I've already told you that if he dares to show his face, I'll do everything in my power to defeat him and avenge you and Elder Yates!" Leon declared, smiling.
"Um," Chandler and Henry exchanged dubious glances. They were both aware of how powerful the Scarlet Thief was, and neither of them agreed that Leon would fare well during combat against him!
Yet this young man was declaring over and over to them that he would do everything in his power to help them bring down the Scarlet Thief!
Neither of them could understand where Leon got the confidence to make such a daring claim!
'What an arrogant young man!" All of a sudden, a bloodcurdling cackle rang out from behind them.
With that, a black car sped toward them at breakneck speed as though it appeared out of nowhere and screeched to a halt.
The car door swung open, and an elderly man in his midsixties, wearing a black eyepatch and a scowl, stepped out of the car. Even the air seemed to turn cold around him as he gazed at them with malice.
"It's you, Scarlet Thief!" The color drained from Henry and Chandler's faces when they saw who it was.
This was none other than the fourth-ranking man on the Criminal List-the infamous Scarlet Thief!
Ever since the Southern Boss found out about Henry's arrival, he notified the Scarlet Thief immediately and sent his men to keep an eye on Leon and Henry.
Therefore, he found out about Leon and Henry's visit to Chandler's house, and so the Scarlet Thief managed to track them down with this news!
"What a nice surprise! I never thought you'd be here too, Chandler! It seems luck must be on my side!" the Scarlet Thief cackled, a glimmer of malice flashing through his cold, penetrating eye.
He followed Henry all the way here after hearing of his whereabouts from the Southern Boss, but he never once imagined that it would lead him to not only Henry but Chandler's hiding place!
This was certainly a pleasant surprise!
Since Henry and Chandler ganged up against him in the past, leading to him losing his eye, he was longing to take revenge on them for a long time now!
Now that both of them were gathered here together, things could not be more perfect!
He could defeat them both at the same time and avenge his loss!
"We didn't think you'd deliver yourself straight to our door, Scarlet Thief! Well, if that's the way things are going to be carried out, so be it!" Henry and Chandler both sneered.
Although neither of them knew how the Scarlet Thief managed to trace them here, they were mortal enemies and would never pass up the chance to avenge their loved ones' deaths!
The hatred in their eyes was so evident, it was as though they wanted nothing more than to skin the Scarlet Thief alive right that instant!

"Tsk, what nonsense! How dare two pieces of trash as you act so cockily toward me?" the Scarlet Thief scoffed and cast Henry and Chandler glances of disdain.
He knew that both Henry and Chandler were only in the Advanced Power class, which meant that they only attained the Semi-Almighty State or the Initial Almighty State at most!
He, on the other hand, was already at the Intermediate Almighty State, which was leaps and bounds ahead of them!
"You! Don't speak too soon, Scarlet Thief! One of us will meet our death today, and I have a feeling it's going to be you!" Henry and Chandler snarled.
With that, the two of them channeled their energies, intending to unleash their wrath on the Scarlet Thief and avenge their loved ones' deaths!
"Wait!" all of a sudden, Leon stepped out, stopping them right in their tracks.
Neither Henry nor Chandler could understand why Leon decided to stop them, but out of consideration that they both owed Leon one, they decided to obey Leon's command and paused.
"So it turns out you're the infamous Scarlet Thief!" Leon was a little surprised. Although he planned this and intended to lure the Scarlet Thief out of hiding, he never once thought his plan would succeed so soon!
However, unbeknownst to him, this was all the Southern Boss' doing; it was he who revealed Henry's whereabouts to the Scarlet Thief, enabling him to trace him all the way to Chandler's house!
Otherwise, the Scarlet Thief would not have materialized so soon!
"Who are you, punk?" the Scarlet Thief turned to stare at Leon coldly. From what the Southern Boss told him, he could vaguely guess Leon's identity, but he did not want to jump to conclusions just yet.
"I'm Leon Wolf, president of Cynthion Group!" Leon declared calmly.
"Haha, so it's you!" a glimmer of excitement flashed through the Scarlet Thief's eye.
When the Southern Boss first shared the information with him, they came to an agreement that the Scarlet Thief would help him get rid of Leon Wolf!
After that, the southern boss would give him a hefty reward as compensation as well as help him evade the Dragon Corps' capture!
As for getting his hands on the Platinum Martial Technique, now that he became the most wanted criminal on the Dragon Corps' list, he had nowhere else to hide and was planning to escape to the Eastern region!
If the southern boss was willing to help him escape or even provide him a hiding place, he would be able to evade the
Dragon Corps' capture, and would not have to run away on his own!
This was why the Scarlet Thief agreed to work with the southern boss and bring Leon down!
"I can't believe you've been helping Henry all along, you punk! You must have a death wish! No worries—I'll send all three of you down to hell together since that seems to be what you want!" the Scarlet Thief snarled, the fiery rage reigniting in his eyes.
Then, without another word, he unleashed a surge of powerful energy, sending it barreling straight toward Leon!
Leon was so young that he was certain Leon would not be able to put up a good fight against him. Therefore, he would first get rid of the weakest, then take his sweet time tearing Henry and Chandler apart!

"You!" Leon balked when he saw the Scarlet Thief attacking without warning. He intended to question the Scarlet Thief further and find out how he managed to track them down so quickly, but he could not do so anymore!
Leon quickly leaped backward, putting as much distance between himself and the Scarlet Thief as he could.
"Trying to run? Not so fast!" the Scarlet Thief sneered and sped toward him, his silhouette darting as fast as whisps of smoke.
'Don't you dare!" Henry and Chandler were both shocked by this. Then, without further ado, they unleashed their powers and sent powerful surges of energy toward the Scarlet Thief, intending to stop him from attacking Leon!
"The Almighty State!" the Scarlet Thief was stunned when he sensed Henry and Chandler's auras. Knowing that the two of them were practicing power methods of the Advanced Power class, he thought they would be at the Semi-Almighty State at most!
He never once imagined that his two enemies would have successfully broken through to the Almighty State, especially Chandler. Not only did he seem to be more powerful than Henry, but he even appeared to be close to attaining the Intermediate Almighty State!
This certainly caught him by surprise!
With that, he gave up trying to attack Leon and instead turned his attention to Henry and Chandler!
The three of them were soon engaged in battle!
At the same time, Leon quickly took out a Dragon Pill and swallowed it whole. Although he had only a few of these left and did not want to waste them, the Scarlet Thief was too powerful for him not to do so!
He did not want to waste any more time when faced with an enemy as ruthless as the Scarlet Thief, so he wanted to level up and find a way to defeat him as soon as he could!
"Thud! Thud! Thud!"
While Leon was swallowing the Dragon Pill, Henry, and Chandler already got entangled in a battle against the Scarlet Thief!
"I didn't think you'd have attained the Almighty State so soon, Henry, Chandler, but so what if you do? Today marks the date of your death, and you shall finally feel my wrath!" the Scarlet Thief scoffed as he intensified his attacks.
Although both Henry and Chandler attained the Initial Almighty State, he was already at the Intermediate Almighty State which put him miles ahead of the both of them!
Even though he was outnumbered, he was still certain he could bring them down!
This was the unfortunate truth. Although Henry and Chandler combined did indeed put up a good fight against the Scarlet Thief, it was soon evident that they were still at a significant disadvantage.
Eventually, the Scarlet Thief was beginning to gain the upper hand, and the only thing Henry and Chandler could do was defend themselves!
Thankfully, Mason noticed that Chandler was struggling with his leg and quickly tossed him his walking cane.
With his cane, Chandler was far more steady on his feet, and the duo began to regain their advantage!
However, the odds were still stacked against them!

Seeing that they were about to be defeated, Henry turned and shouted to Leon through gritted teeth, "Mister Wolf, the Scarlet Thief is so powerful that not even Chandler and I combined can take him down! Please escape with Sherlyn!"
He and the Scarlet Thief s vengeance went back to when the Scarlet Thief killed every last member of his family, sparing only him and Sherlyn. Even if he and Chandler could not survive again this time, he would not be afraid of dying, nor would he even think of retreating! He was ready to fight to his grave!
However, Sherlyn was the only person he left in this world, and he hoped that Leon could help her escape before they fell victim to the Scarlet Thief!
As long as Leon and Sherlyn got to safety, he would have no regrets and would not even hesitate to sacrifice his own life!
Even if he died, he would do so in peace, knowing that Leon was able to look after his precious granddaughter!
"Henry is right! President Wolf, Henry, and I can hold him off while you escape," Chandler cried out. He knew full well that the Scarlet Thief's sudden appearance had nothing to do with Leon, and not to mention that he still owed Leon one for curing his leg.
Besides, the Scarlet Thief was far too powerful than even the both of them combined, and he knew that they had only a slim chance of making it out alive!
However, the two of them were Almighty Warriors, and even if the Scarlet Thief were to kill them, they would not go down without a fight!
He and Henry already made up their mind to bring down the Scarlet Thief no matter what, even if it meant sacrificing their lives!
However, they had to stall the Scarlet Thief as long as they could to ensure Leon and Sherlyn's safety; if Leon were to fall victim to the Scarlet Thief as well, the two of them would never be able to rest in peace!
"Escape? There's no need for that! Elder Yates, Elder Quinn, come back! I shall handle the Scarlet Thief!" Leon replied calmly. Now that he ingested the Dragon Pill, he already ascended to the Intermediate Golden Core Phase, which was equivalent to the Semi-Almighty State!
Not only that, but with the Mirror of Sovereign, he was now capable of withstanding attacks of even the Intermediate Almighty State!
There was no way the Scarlet Thief could break through his defenses now, much less defeat him!
However, since the Dragon Pill was still taking effect, Leon knew that his power level was still ascending as he spoke, and thus did not rush to take on the Scarlet Thief before its full effect kicked in.
"What?" Henry and Chandler could not believe their ears. They hoped Leon would get the message and escape with
Sherlyn while they could, and they never once imagined Leon would not only refuse to leave but even dare to take on the Scarlet Thief by himself!

Neither of them could understand where Leon got the confidence from.

"That's enough for playtime, Henry, Chandler! It's time to face your wrath! Take this!" the scarlet thief scoffed as a glimmer of malice flashed through his eyes. He wanted to punish this arrogant young man, but at the same time, was worried that his victim would get away before he could do so!
Therefore, without a moment's hesitation, he unleashed his newly-acquired Platinum Martial Technique-the Fiery Serpent!
A surge of powerful energy gushed out of his hands, morphing into a fiery dragon before barreling straight toward Henry and Chandler at breakneck speed!
"That's incredible!" Henry and Chandler gasped when they saw this. They were already at a disadvantage against the scarlet thief, and now that he unleashed his Platinum Martial Technique, it was safe to say they were no match for him at all!
The two of them leaped backward, trying to dodge the Scarlet Thief's attack, while at the same time unleashing attacks of their own to break down the Fiery Serpent's power!
Fortunately, Henry got lucky and managed to dodge the Fiery Serpent by a few inches. However, the last tendrils of the Fiery Serpent caught him squarely in his chest, and he could not help staggering backward from the impact and finally plopping onto the ground in a heap, his face pale.
Chandler, on the other hand, was not so lucky; he was still partially disabled and had to rely on his walking cane, so he could not manage to dodge the Fiery Serpent as nimbly as Henry did. Instead, the Fiery Serpent caught him squarely in the middle of his chest!
Chandler's entire body was propelled backward and landed on the ground in a crumpled heap.
An excruciating pain shot through his chest as he landed on the ground, and he could not help spitting out two mouthfuls of blood. It was clear he suffered some severe injuries. His cane was flung to one side, just out of reach.
"Take this, Chandler!" the scarlet thief lunged forward, unleashing another wave of powerful energy toward Chandler, who was lying on the ground, defenseless.
It was clear that he was trying to kill Chandler first before moving onto Henry!
As for Leon, he was just a naive young man and would not be difficult at all to defeat!
He could take his sweet time killing him after taking care of Chandler and Henry!
"Oh no," Chandler's heart sank as he watched the scarlet thief lunge toward him. considering he was yet to regain his full strength from being knocked onto the ground like that, there was no way he could dodge the scarlet thief in time.
There was nothing he could do apart from watching in horror as the scarlet thief sped toward him!
There was no doubt about it; he was going to die!
All of a sudden, Leon finally unleashed his attack. Three hidden silver needles pierced through the air, speeding toward the scarlet thief s trunk!
At the same time, Leon stepped forward and unleashed his Phantom Steps, leaving only tendrils of his silhouette behind as he appeared behind the scarlet thief, faster than the speed of light!
With that, he raised his arm and unleashed a surge of powerful energy toward the scarlet thief’s back!
It was clear what he was trying to do. He wanted to attack the scarlet thief from many directions at the same time so that he would be forced to give up targeting Chandler!

"Rats!" the color drained from the Scarlet Thief’s face when he sensed Leon charging toward him. He knew full well that if he did not retreat now, although he would be able to kill Chandler right on the spot, he would also highly likely fall into Leon's trap.
It was not worth making this shot just to wind up hurt in someone else's hands!
Therefore, the Scarlet Thief had no choice but to give up trying to attack Chandler and instead turned to swipe Leon's needles out of the way.
With that, he leaped into the air, nimbly dodging Leon’s attack from the back, and placed a safe distance in between him and his other three opponents for fear that Henry, like Leon, would try to ambush him from the back as well.
Seizing the opportunity to escape, Chandler got up from the ground, stifling the excruciating pain in his chest, and picked up his cane.
'Are you okay, Elder Quinn?" Instead of chasing after the Scarlet Thief, Leon turned his attention to Chandler in concern.
"I'm fine. I sustained some injuries, but I'll be okay," Chandler replied, shaking his head.
"That's good to hear! Here, take this. It's called a Circulation Pill and can help aid recovery," Leon said as he took out one
of his Circulation Pills and handed it to Chandler.
"Thank you, President Wolf," Chandler took it from his, his face etched with gratitude. Not only did Leon help him cure his leg, but he even saved his life during this moment of crisis. He did not know how to even begin repaying Leon for his kindness!
All of a sudden, footsteps rang out as Henry approached them. "Mister Wolf, Chandler and I can temporarily hold the Scarlet Thief off while you and Sherlyn escape. You'd better go soon!" he said worriedly.
It was clear that until now, he still did not think Leon was capable of taking on the Scarlet Thief on his own!
"Yes, Henry's right! You'd better run while you can, President Wolf!" Chandler agreed. He, like Henry, did not think that a young and inexperienced man like Leon would be able to match up against the Scarlet Thief, especially after seeing the Scarlet Thief's exceptional display of power.
He knew that he and Henry would not be able to escape their inevitable fate, but he did not want Leon to pay the same price!
No need! Didn't I already say I can handle him? Sirs, please get some rest and look after Sherlyn and Mason. We can't let the Scarlet Thief hurt them," Leon replied solemnly.
Knowing that the Scarlet Thief was one of the higher-ranking criminals on the list, it was likely that he would extend his wrath to the others, especially defenseless Sherlyn. This was the reason he was reluctant to attack the Scarlet Thief with his full power-he was worried that the Scarlet Thief
would try to harm Sherlyn and Mason in retaliation!
Therefore, he wanted Henry and Chandler to keep an eye on Sherlyn and Mason while he took on the Scarlet Thief!
"But," Henry and Chandler were still hesitant. They wanted to continue convincing Leon otherwise, but Leon interrupted them before they could even say anything.

"No but's! Don't worry; it's just the Scarlet Thief. He has nothing on me!" Leon declared coldly, the disdain in his voice evident.
"Um," Henry and Chandler were both stunned by how confident Leon seemed.
"How dare you, punk! Well, since you have such a daring death wish, I'll gladly help you fulfill it!" the Scarlet Thief snickered when he heard this. As one of the Eight Criminals, he was notorious for his ruthlessness and could not stomach being looked down on by Leon like this!
With that, he did not hesitate even a single moment and instead sent a surge of power charging straight toward Leon.
Not only did Leon act cockily toward him many times, he even ruined his best chance to kill Chandler, and he would not let him get away with this!
He would get rid of this twat first, and then take down Chandler and Henry together!
"Careful, Mister Wolf!" Chandler and Henry both cried out in horror. They were just about to help Leon fend off the Scarlet Thief's attack, but before they could even do so, Leon darted in front of them and unleashed his attack!
"Perfect timing!" Leon scoffed as he lunged forward, sending a surge of powerful energy barreling straight toward the Scarlet Thief.
"Take this, you punk!" the Scarlet Thief yelled. Worried that Henry and Chandler would try to help Leon, he wasted no time and instead employed his Fiery Serpent, sending a fiery tendril speeding toward Leon!
The Fiery Serpent was so powerful that Henry and Chandler's trying to help Leon would only lead them to a tragic fate!
"Tsk, what an embarrassment! Take my Earthly Plunder!" Leon sneered. Although he appeared to not be fazed by the Scarlet Thief's Fiery Serpent, he still did not dare to underestimate it after witnessing the extent of its power.
With that, he decided to employ his Earthly Plunder!
All the true energy within him surged into his finger, rippling and swirling before he pointed his finger at the Scarlet Thief, sending the energy barreling straight toward his opponent!
"Haha, you're only at the Semi-Almighty State! What a joke! You'll be meeting your death today!" the Scarlet Thief cackled at this, and a glimmer of malice flashed through his eyes.
Although he could not sense Leon's true energy or aura, judging from Leon's speed and force, he could easily guess that Leon was only at the Semi-Almighty State at most!
As reluctant as he was to admit it, he was surprised by this; it was an incredible feat for Leon to have attained the SemiAlmighty State at such a young age, but it was still such a long way away from his Intermediate Almighty State that there was no point even competing!
If Leon dodged his Fiery Serpent, perhaps he would stand a slim chance of surviving, but not only did he not do so, he even decided to take the Scarlet Thief on directly instead with just one finger!
This was akin to committing suicide, and there was no way he could turn down the satisfaction of killing Leon!
"Oh no, Mister Wolf has underestimated the Scarlet Thief. He's going to die," Henry and Chandler’s hearts sank at this, they both were familiar with the Scarlet Thief’s power, especially his signature Fiery Serpent; it was so powerful that not even the two of them combined could counter his attack!
However, Leon, for some reason, got into his head that he could take down the Scarlet Thief all by himself, and with just one finger, no less!
Neither of them thought Leon could pull this off. If their guesses were correct, the Fiery Serpent would kill Leon on the spot!
There was no other possibility!
However, before they could even finish this thought, what happened next shocked them all to the core!

"Thud!"
Leon's Earthly Plunder and the Scarlet Thiefs Fiery Serpent crashed into each other with a deafening, earth-shattering slam.
With that, the Fiery Serpent tore Leon's attack apart and barreled straight toward Leon!
However, Leon remained calm, and with a dart, he angled himself so that the Mirror of Sovereign, which was strapped to his chest, would take the brunt of the Scarlet Thiefs attack.
At the same time, he moved out of the Earthly Plunder and instead employed his signature Double Attack, sending a surge of Intermediate Overlord energy speeding straight toward the Scarlet Thiefs chest!
"What on earth is going on?" the Scarlet Thief was stunned by this. He was under the impression that Leon was just a naive little twat, and his Fiery Serpent would surely take him out as easy as ABC!
He never once imagined that not only did Leon get away unscathed, he was even able to unleash another attack on him!
He did not see this coming at all!
Not only that, he put so much strength into his Fiery Serpent
that he was yet to regenerate the energy required for retaliation, and so he could not even dodge Leon's attack as it sped toward him!
Without warning, Leon's Double Attack crashed into the Scarlet Thief's chest, sending his entire body propelling backward like a kite without its string, finally landing in a crumpled heap on the ground!
A wave of excruciating pain shot into his chest as he doubled over, spitting out a mouthful of blood. It was clear he suffered some serious injuries.
Thankfully, Leon was only at the Intermediate Almighty State, and combined with the fact that he had his defenses up, Leon's attack did not prove to be fatal.
If not, he would have been crippled or perhaps even died from taking Leon's Double Attack to the chest!
' Leon defeated the Scarlet Thief? How can this be?" Henry and Chandler could not believe their eyes. Knowing that the Scarlet Thief was already at the Intermediate Almighty State and even learned a special Platinum Martial Technique, neither of them thought a young man in his mid-twenties would stand a chance against him!
After all, the Scarlet Thiefs power would place him as one of the best Almighty Warriors in the town, with no one even being able to match up against him apart from the Southern Boss and Arthur Thompson!
This was unbelievable!
None of them would have believed this to be true if they did not see it with their own two eyes!
"This can't be true! This is impossible," The Scarlet Thief leaped to his feet, stifling the excruciating pain in his chest. He remembered full well that Leon was only at the SemiAlmighty State at most, which was a far cry from his Intermediate Almighty State!
He could not understand how Leon not only managed to hold up against his attack but even turned the situation around and retaliate!
This was akin to a miracle!
The Scarlet Thief could not even begin to accept what happened!

"It's time to meet my wrath, Scarlet Thief! Take this!" Leon ignored the Scarlet Thief s shock and instead lunged forward, sending another surge of powerful energy his way.
"Don't get too cocky, you twat! If my guesses are correct, you must’ve some sort of armor on you that's capable of defense up to the Intermediate Almighty State! That's the only reason you were able to even defeat me just now! it's no indicator of your true power at all!" The Scarlet Thief snapped out of his stupor and leaped out of Leon's way nimbly.
As one of the legendary Eight Criminals, he saw plenty and could easily make the connection between Leon's power level and his ability to block his attack.
After some thought, he finally concluded that Leon must have had some sort of armor protecting him, otherwise, he would never have been able to hold off his attack so easily!
"You're certainly observant!" Leon scoffed but did not deny it. After all, the Scarlet Thief was telling the truth. The only reason he was able to ambush the Scarlet Thief so easily was that he had the Mirror of Sovereign helping!
However, the Scarlet Thief got one thing wrong-the Mirror of Sovereign was a super treasure and not an ordinary one that was only capable of defense up to the Intermediate Almighty State!
"I knew it!" after receiving confirmation from Leon, the Scarlet Thief felt relieved. After all, treasures were external and usually only limited their use to three times during the same combat.
Although Leon managed to injure him just now, his condition was not too severe at all, and as long as he could find a way to disarm Leon's defense, he would be able to take Leon out as easily as ABC!
"Thud! Thud! Thud!"
Even during their conversation, Leon's attack kept coming.
The Scarlet Thief, after discovering that Leon had special armor on him, did not dare to underestimate his opponent any further.
He had no choice but to continue holding off Leon's attack as best as he could while secretly scheming how to disarm Leon's armor.
"It turns out Mister Wolf has a special armor on him! it's no wonder he was able to hold up so well during combat!" Henry and Chandler gasped in realization when they heard Leon's statement. It turned out Leon relied on his treasure all along!
"This is a perfect opportunity, Henry! If we help President Wolf right now, we might be able to take down the Scarlet Thief once and for all!" Chandler suggested. He could tell by now that Leon was not as weak as he initially thought. He was probably at the Semi-Almighty State, not to mention he also had something protecting him. With this in mind, the
Scarlet Thief would be preoccupied trying to bring Leon down.
Since he and Henry were both at the Initial Almighty State, they would stand a chance of defeating the Scarlet Thief if they were to combine forces with Leon!
"Yes, that's a good idea!" Henry agreed. The Scarlet Thief killed his loved ones, and he long dreamed of the day he could avenge their deaths!
Now that Leon was able to hold the Scarlet Thief off, he and Chandler could combine forces, increasing their chances of defeating the Scarlet Thief once and for all!
Chandler's suggestion seemed like the perfect idea!
However, just as they were about to attack, Leon stopped them in their tracks!

"There's no need for that! Elder Yates, Elder Quinn, you two should be in charge of keeping Sherlyn and Mason safe! I can handle the Scarlet Thief by myself! I don't need your help!” Leon reminded them when he overheard Henry and Chandler's plans to help him.
He knew full well that although Henry and Chandler's assistance would greatly aid him in defeating the Scarlet Thief, it would, unfortunately, leave Sherlyn and Mason unguarded and therefore create the chance for the Scarlet Thief to ambush them!
If that happened, the three of them would be forced to adopt a position of passivity, which would not bode well in their favor!
It was far more desirable for him to take on the Scarlet Thief himself!
He knew that it would be a matter of time before he could take down the Scarlet Thief, and he did not need Henry or Chandler's help!
"Um," Henry and Chandler exchanged surprised looks when they heard this. Although Leon disarmed the Scarlet Thief just now, they both knew that he just got lucky and gained the upper hand because of his armor!
However, knowing that treasures like this usually limited their use to only three times, they were certain that the
Scarlet Thief would have his guard up now, and it would be much harder for Leon to even get another attack in!
Leon's insistence on defeating the Scarlet Thief just based on this was almost comical!
Not only that, but the longer they waited, the more likely it was that Leon would use up his treasure's power, or perhaps it would get destroyed deliberately by the Scarlet Thief. If that happened, there was no way Leon could get out of this situation alive!
Therefore, the best bet they had was to help Leon bring down the Scarlet Thief together!
Unfortunately, Leon kept on insisting he could take down the Scarlet Thief by himself, which was rather stubborn and bordering on cocky, even!
Both Henry and Chandler were stunned by how naive Leon was!
"Tsk, you idiot! Do you honestly think you're invincible just because you have some sort of treasure on you? I'll show you who's boss!" The Scarlet Thief snickered when he heard this, then, without a moment's hesitation, he sent a surge of powerful energy barreling straight toward Leon!
It was clear that he wanted to first disarm Leon's defense and teach him a lesson about being arrogant!
"Perfect timing!" However, Leon was unfazed by this, he lunged forward and unleashed a surge of energy in retaliation, sending it storming straight toward the Scarlet Thief!
"You're too naive, twat!" the Scarlet Thief sneered. After witnessing the true extent of Leon's defense, he knew better than to attack Leon head-on.
This attack was just a distraction, and Leon fell right into his trap!
After Leon unleashed his attack, the Scarlet Thief leaped into the air, dodging Leon's attack nimbly, and circled past Leon at the speed of light, before Leon could even register what was happening.
Then, he sent a powerful surge of energy barreling straight toward Leon's back!
