As the battle unfolded, Angus and the Thompsons soon struggled as they were outnumbered by the Hiltons and the Spears.

"Damn it!' Yuri, Iris, and the others watched the battle from afar with heavy hearts.

If even one of them collapsed, the Thompsons would lose the chance to retreat or run and they would all be dead before they knew it.

"Yuri, what should we do now?" Roanne asked worriedly.

This was the first time she saw just a large-scale battle and she could not help but panic.

"That depends on Mister Wolf! If he can handle the Four Apostles, we might stand a chance of winning. If he fails, we will all be doomed," Yuri sighed as he analyzed the situation.

Their only hope was Leon; so long as Leon defeated the Four Apostles and rushed to help the others, the Thompsons would stand a chance of turning the tables. However, if Leon failed, all the Thompsons would die along with him.

"I hope Leon can defeat the Four Apostles," Iris muttered, and the other women all turned to gaze in Leon's direction as they placed their hope on him.

Arthur and Angus all felt the same, as they knew that Leon became the key that determined who would win.

Arthur, who saw Leon defeating the Fourth and Grand Apostles, decided to trust Leon and ordered the Thompsons to act according to Leon's plan; the rest replied heavily to Leon.

On the other end, the Fourth Apostle regrouped with the other Apostles.

Though the Fourth and Grand Apostles were injured by Leon earlier, their injuries were not severe, and they were still capable of fighting.

Following the Southern Boss's order, they surrounded Leon in an attempt to kill him together.

"Do the Four Beasts Formation! This brat is too difficult to deal with, so let's use the Four Beasts Formation! Show him what we are capable of!" The Grand Apostle shouted.

In response to his order, the rest of the Apostles stood in three different directions, surrounding Leon.

"What's a Four Beasts Formation?" Leon scowled in confusion, but instinctively realized that it was something formidable.

"You'll find out soon enough! Prepare to die!" The Grand Apostle sneered, before launching an attack on Leon.

"Don't make me laugh! Let's see what you four can do!" Leon scoffed.

Though he did not know what the Four Apostles were trying to do, he did not fear anything because he had countless tricks up his sleeves.

Instead of backing away, he charged forward to meet the Grand Apostle's attack.

"Know your place!" The Grand Apostle sneered in contempt.

The Four Beasts Formation was a powerful formation that required four people at different positions that were referred to as the Dragon, Tiger, Phoenix, and Kraken.

Once the formation was employed, the people involved would have to collaborate in close relation to one another.

The Grand Apostle stood at the Dragon position, the Second Apostle stood in the Tiger position, the Third Apostle stood in the Phoenix position, and the Fourth Apostle stood in the

Kraken position.

As the Grand Apostle launched his attack, the Second Apostle followed closely behind and flung a powerful attack directed at Leon's back.

"What?!" Leon was startled by the attack coming from behind him.

He planned to use his agility and the Mirror of Sovereign to his advantage to get rid of the Grand Apostle, before moving on to the next Apostle. However, the position where the Second Apostle stood was so tricky that it aligned perfectly with the Grand Apostle's location in opposite directions.

Instantly, Leon found himself restricted and if he tried to go up against the Grand Apostle, he might not be able to defeat him and even suffer extreme damage from both the Grand and Second Apostles.

"This Four Beasts Formation thingy is rather impressive!" Leon narrowed his eyes sharply and immediately executed the Phantom Steps to evade their attacks.

"What an incredible speed!" The Second Apostle gasped.

He already witnessed how swift Leon was earlier when he injured the Grand Apostle; however, he realized that Leon was even faster than he initially imagined when he fought Leon himself.

It surprised him that Leon escaped unscathed from even the Four Beasts Formation, but both he and the Grand Apostle remained confident and did not go after Leon. 2

Leon sighed a breath of relief inwardly after evading the attacks, but before he could fully relax, the situation changed once again.

"Take this!" The Third Apostle roared.

Leon leaped out of the Dragon position and into the Phoenix position, and the Third Apostle immediately acted without hesitation.

Just then, the Fourth Apostle in the Kraken position collaborated with the Third Apostle to attack from behind Leon, which sealed all possible paths Leon could use to escape.

"Wh- What is this?!” Leon was stunned and realized that the Four Beasts Formation was far more powerful than he initially thought.

He executed the Phantom Steps in immediate danger and swiftly escaped the attacks, only to end up in the Tiger position where the Second Apostle was standing.

"Let's see how many times you can dodge this! Die!" The Second Apostle sneered and launched another powerful attack at Leon.

At the same time, the Third Apostle, who was in the Phoenix position, charged toward Leon from behind and left Leon facing two attacks from different directions.

"Damn it!" Leon paled and narrowly escaped them with the Phantom Steps.

Four Beasts Formation transformed continuously and Leon had no option but to keep dodging with the Phantom Steps, with no chance of fighting back or winning.

Yuri, Iris, and the others were all worried as they watched Leon. "Oh, no!"

Angus and Arthur felt the same, as Leon's victory was the key to the Thompsons' survival, and their hopes all lied within Leon.

The Four Apostles were far too powerful and Leon could not escape the Four Beasts Formation, so it was only a matter of time before Leon was defeated and everyone else was devastated.

"Hahaha! Great! Grand Apostle, get rid of Leon as soon as possible. Don't waste any more time!" The Southern Boss shouted.

Contrary to the Thompsons' despair, the Southern Boss and Devon were pleased to see Leon being forced into a defensive position.

They could all see victory ahead of them, and indeed, if the Four Apostles defeated Leon and regrouped with the other forces on the battlefield, the Thompsons would be easily defeated.

The Four Beasts Formation was ever-changing and Leon struggled to dodge the attack from two of the Apostles, not to mention an attack from all four of them.

Not daring to treat this lightly, he fired the Phantom Steps in full force in an attempt to dodge their attack, but the attacks were coming from all directions and no matter how hard he tried, he could not escape the Four Apostles.

At the very last moment, he leaped into the air, but it did not help much as the Four Apostles' attacks merged into one and charged toward him.

"Damn it!" Leon could not dodge in the air and could only watch as the attack approached him.

He tilted his body right before he was hit to take the blow with the Mirror of Sovereign.

"Baam!"

Following a loud sound, Leon was struck in the chest and was sent flying by the attack.

As soon as he landed on the ground, he puked.

Thankfully, the Mirror of Sovereign protected him from the attack and he did not suffer any critical injuries; otherwise, he would have been killed on the spot.

"It's over!" Arthur, Angus, and the Thompsons were all stunned that Leon was defeated.

Arthur, who decided to trust Leon and followed his plan, bet it all on him, yet it was proven that he made the wrong choice.

Not only was Leon defeated, he was severely injured by the Four Apostles within a matter of minutes.

Once the Four Apostles killed Leon, the Thompsons would all be doomed and instantly devastated.

"Leon, a- are you alright?'

"Leon!"

Iris, Cynthia, and the others were stunned when they saw that Leon was injured; they desperately wanted to hurry over to check on Leon, only to be stopped by Yuri.

He stayed back with Iris and the others, and with the protection of John, Henry, and Chandler, they were safe for the time being.

Meanwhile, three of the Six Guardians stayed behind with a few martial artists from the Hiltons to protect Rodney and Joel.

If Iris, Cynthia, and the others ran into the battlefield, they would become the target for Rodney and Yuri refused to let that happen.

"But," The four women hesitated.

They all knew that they were too weak to be of any help, but Leon seemed to suffer severe injuries and they were all worried sick for him.

"Iris, don't come over! I'm fine. Don't worry!" Leon consoled them and struggled to stand up with a hand on his chest. Though he was injured, he was also sent out of the Four Beasts Formation and had a chance to pause and think.

He immediately took out two Circulation pills and Spirit Nurturing Pills and swallowed them.

He executed the Phantom Steps multiple times earlier when he was trapped in the Four Beasts Formation and the Spirit Nurturing Pills could help recover the lost spiritual energy, while the Circulation Pills could help with his injuries.

Instantly, the unbearable pain subsided.

He knew about the defensive tool Leon had on his chest and that it was in the Almighty State, so he instantly concluded that Leon only survived because of it or his body would have been shattered entirely under the Four Apostles' combined attack.

Tools and treasures often had a limit and could not be used over three times at a certain time, so they assumed that Leon ran out of time and without the defensive tool, Leon could be easily defeated and the Grand Apostle was confident that they could kill Leon on the next attack.

"Resume the formation!" The Grand Apostle commanded.

The Four Apostles immediately surrounded Leon once again to launch their next attack.

"Mister Wolf, the Four Beasts Formation is too powerful. You can't handle it! We need to change our plan and retreat!" Yuri shouted in an attempt to convince Leon to run.

"That's right! Mister Wolf, please leave with Yuri and Roanne. The Thompsons and I will stay behind to stop the Hiltons and Spears! Don't worry, we will protect you at all costs, even if it means the death of us!" Arthur agreed along.

Upon hearing Yuri's words, realization dawned on Arthur. Since the Thompsons and Leon were all struggling to win, there was no doubt that defeat awaited them and the only solution left was for the Thompsons to focus their forces on letting Leon, Yuri, and the others escape.

So long as Yuri and Roanne escaped alive, the Thompsons' legacy would live on and the others would gladly die for it since it was still better than having every last member of the Thompsons slaughtered.

"That won't be necessary! Elder Thompson, Yuri, don't worry! I've already considered a way to deal with this Four Beasts Formation!" Leon said thoughtfully as he stared at the Four Apostles intently.

The ancestor of the Wolfs had left a legacy that contained countless information, which included not only books about medicine and martial arts but also information concerning formations.

The Energy Convergence Circle and the Light Convergence Circle he used to cure Roanne were all formations and Leon knew that he could find a solution from his ancestor's legacy.

However, he did not study the art of formations much before this and was caught by surprise when the Four Apostles attacked him with the Four Beasts Formation, which resulted in his temporary defeat.

Upon experiencing what the Four Beasts Formation was capable of, Leon began to see how it worked and was confident he could break it.

"What?!" Arthur and Yuri were both shocked that Leon refused to run or retreat given the circumstances.

Everyone on the battlefield was shocked as well, as they all witnessed how the Four Apostles injured Leon, so none of them believed that he had what it took to deal with the Four Beasts Formation.

Leon's stubbornness was nothing short of a suicide attempt in their eyes and they could not understand why Leon seemed so confident.

"Mister Wolf, have you gone mad? This is our last chance to retreat and if you refuse to run, we'll all die here!” Arthur shouted in frustration.

For a moment, Arthur desperately wanted to leave Leon behind and order the Thompsons to run with Yuri and Roanne; however, Leon helped Angus and his family multiple times and Arthur himself mistook Leon as the person who killed Yonas, so he could not bring himself to leave Leon and run.

"Old Thompson, enough with your blabbering! Don't even dream of running away! The Thompsons' days are over and you should give up already! Take this! Divine Kick!" The Southern Boss scoffed.

Taking advantage of Arthur's distraction, he launched a powerful kick, while Devon executed the Mirage Strike, aiming at Arthur's legs in perfect synchronization with the Southern Boss's attack.

"Damn it!" Arthur paled.

At the same time, the Second Apostle who was in the Tiger position also attacked Leon from behind; the two collaborated to attack Leon from front and behind in an attempt to force Leon into the Death Spot so that the four of them could eliminate Leon at once.

He swiftly stepped into the Live Spot and successfully evaded the attacks from the Grand and Second Apostles.

When Leon was forced into the Death Spot earlier, he was vulnerable to attacks from all four directions, but since he found the weak point of the formation, the Four Apostles all found themselves rendered powerless.

Leon darted away from the Death Spot and landed on the Live Spot, escaping their attacks with ease once again.

"Th- that's not possible!"

The Four Apostles were utterly shocked, as they all assumed that Leon found the Live Spot by luck, only to be proven wrong.

Considering how complicated the Four Beasts Formation was, one could not simply attribute Leon's success in finding the Live Spot twice to mere luck, and they all realized that Leon might have seen through the formation.

Shocked, none of them could understand how Leon managed to do so, nor could they accept it.

"It's my time to attack now! Prepare to die!" Leon scoffed and narrowed his eyes maliciously.

Since Leon was stepping on the Live Spot, none of them could attack and since Leon attacked, it would be too late for them to change the formation.

At the very last moment, the Grand Apostle backed away to evade Leon's attack but struggled to escape the attack's range as Leon's Phantom Steps were far too hard to shake.

Eventually, Leon's attack reached him.

"Don't you dare!" The other three Apostles hurried after Leon and each launched an attack at Leon's back in the hope of forcing him to abandon the attack.

Though Leon already saw through the formation and forced them into a panic, the Four Apostles were all martial artists in the Intermediate Almighty State and could easily eliminate Leon even without the Four Beasts Formation.

If Leon continued his attack directed at the Grand Apostle, the attacks from the other three Apostles would strike him from behind, killing him on the spot.

"Out of my way!" Leon was prepared for the attacks from the other Apostles and waved his arm, sending a few poisoned daggers at them.

"Those are poisoned daggers!" They gasped.

They heard from Joel that Leon possessed a poison that killed upon contact and seeing the blue glow on the daggers, they instantly realized that Leon covered the daggers in poison.

Not daring to stop, they darted away from the daggers.

Taking advantage of that, Leon continued with his attack at the Grand Apostle and aimed directly at their chest.

"Damn it! Here goes nothing!" Seeing as he could not evade the attack, the Grand Apostle launched a powerful counterattack to fend off Leon.

"Die, old man!" Leon narrowed his eyes coldly.

He knew that his overall strength was in the Intermediate Almighty State, so he was not much stronger than the Grand Apostle.

If he went up against the Grand Apostle forcefully, he might be able to injure him, but would not be able to kill him. Once the Grand Apostle had a chance to catch his breath, Leon could not be able to win while the three other Apostles stalled him.

Arthur was already losing and needed Leon's help immediately, so Leon had no time to waste.

With that thought in mind, he stopped the attack and faced the Mirror of Sovereign at the Grand Apostle's attack.

Following a deafening sound, the attack slammed against Leon's chest, but Leon remained unscathed.

At the same time, he focused his energy on his finger and launched the Earthly Plunder, which pierced through the Grand Apostle's chest.

"Why you-" The Grand Apostle's eyes widened as he glared at Leon.

He never expected Leon's attack to be a feint; still panicking from learning that the Four Beasts Formation failed, the Grand Apostle fell right into Leon's trap and Leon's attack left a hole in his chest.

The Grand Apostle's lifeless body collapsed onto the ground, his eyes still wide open.

"No way!"

Everyone else, including the Southern Boss, Devon, and the Thompsons was all stunned.

They all thought that Leon would surely be defeated after witnessing the power of the Four Beasts Formation. To their bewilderment, Leon managed to see through the formation and defeat the Grand Apostle within the blink of an eye.
