"Damn it!" The Southern Boss's expression darkened and struggled to get up.

If it was in the past, he would never have taken Leon seriously, but since he was severely injured and Leon seemed to have countless tricks available, he realized that he was helpless before Leon.

With the situation escalating, he dared not to dream of eliminating Leon and the Thompsons and only wished to lead his family out of this dangerous situation. Once they managed to escape, he could always work with the Southern Boss to plan another attack.

"Spears, retreat!" The Southern Boss commanded.

Following their commands, the Spears and the Hiltons moved swiftly and started to gather toward Devon and the Southern Boss.

Rodney and Joel, too, hurried toward them in the hope of regrouping.

"You won't get away so easily! Henry, Chandler, heed my words! Stop Rodney and Joel from going to the Southern Boss! Uncle Angus, please work with the elders to handle the Hiltons and the Spears, blocking them from one another! " Leon reacted swiftly and made the arrangement.

He knew that while the Thompsons were winning at the moment, the Hiltons and Spears still outnumbered them and if they all gathered together, they might be able to forge a path and escape.

Should that happen, it would be impossible to take the Southern Boss down. Hence, he arranged for Henry, Chandler, and Angus to divide their enemies into three areas in the hope of striking them down one by one.

"Yes, sir!" Chandler and Henry immediately charged toward Rodney and Joel.

The Southern Boss was losing and could no longer pose a threat to Yuri and Iris, so John alone could protect them.

"Rodney, Joel, how dare you plot to kill my son! You'll pay for it today!" August stepped forth with a resentful look in her eyes.

He knew that three Guardians were protecting Joel and Rodney, so August was worried that Henry and Chandler might not be able to stop them on their own. Hence, he led a few skilled martial artists to charge at Henry and Chandler from behind.

Since Rodney and Joel were the masterminds behind Yonas's murder, this was the perfect chance for August to avenge his son now that Leon turned the table against the Southern Boss, so there was no way that he would let the culprit escape.

As Henry, Chandler, and August approached, they each launched a powerful attack to stop Rodney and Joel from regrouping with the Southern Boss.

"Oh no!" Rodney and Joel paled and backed away.

They were both young and powerless to defend themselves from Henry and the others.

As Arthur's words fell, the Spears and Hiltons instantly started wavering.

"As expected of someone with experience!' Leon glanced at Arthur respectfully, impressed that he managed to stir their spirits with just a few words.

"Don't listen to him! So long as we regroup, we can get out of here together! " The Southern Boss hastily tried to console his subordinates, but it was too late.

"Elder Thompson's right! We only came for the Southern Boss and old Hilton; none of you should’ve been dragged into this! So long as you step aside and stop helping them, the Thompsons and I won't harm you!* Leon added, his words resonating deep within the others.

He knew that the Hiltons were an ancient family with a shared sense of belonging, so most of the Hiltons would follow Devon to death if that were necessary; however, the same could not be said about the Southern Boss's subordinates.

As the ruler of the underground community, the people who gathered to work for the Southern Boss mainly did so for fame and wealth; since Leon and Arthur promised not to harm them, it was likely that these people would stop working for the Southern Boss.

So long as all the people who worked for the Southern Boss retreated, the Thompsons could easily defeat the Hiltons and prevent large-scale casualty.

"Mister Wolf, Elder Thompson, we don't mean to be your enemies. We're willing to yield!"

As Leon predicted, countless Spears crumbled before the pressure and saw no point in continuing to work for the Southern Boss now that Leon promised to not harm them.

"You all! Damn it!' The Southern Boss gritted out in frustration.

Contrary to his rage, Leon and Arthur observed that Henry and Angus had everything under control and decided that it was time for them to focus on eliminating the Southern Boss and Devon.

"Elder Thompson, please deal with old Hilton! I'll handle the Southern Boss! " Leon said.

"Sure!' Arthur nodded and leaped toward Devon.

Upon learning that the Southern Boss and Rodney worked together to kill Yonas, Arthur desperately wanted to kill the Southern Boss himself.

However, he was severely injured by the Demon Lord earlier and since the Southern Boss's power rivaled that of his, he might not be able to defeat the Southern Boss.

Leon, on the other hand, had countless tricks up his sleeves, so it seemed safer to leave the Southern Boss to him.

As for the Spears who were yet to surrender and his allies, he simply could not spare the time to think about them now that his very own life was in danger.

"Southern Boss, why you!" Devon’s expression darkened when he spotted the Southern Boss running.

Following the surrender of the Spears, the Hiltons were

already struggling to fend off the Thompsons. To his bewilderment, the Southern Boss took the opportunity to run.

The Southern Boss's despicable actions enraged him, but at the moment, Arthur was attacking with all his might and Devon could only focus on fighting back.

"You won't get away that easily!" Leon huffed and executed the Phantom Steps to run after the Southern Boss.

However, the Southern Boss was still a formidable martial artist and managed to get a head start ahead of him, so he struggled to catch up.

He knew about the poisonous daggers before this and Leon used them on him earlier, so he was prepared. He swung his arm, releasing a wave of powerful true energy to strike the daggers down.

Without stopping on his track, he charged toward the entrance of the mansion.

Once he managed to get out of the mansion, he would be able to take advantage of the surroundings, making it even harder for Loen to catch up to him.

The Southern Boss was determined to run, even Arthur could not stop him; Leon had no means to stop him unless he had another Potential Energy Force.

He knew that as the culprit of Yonas's murder and that he would die if August caught him. Fear instantly overwhelmed him and he could only seek the Southern boss's help.

"Damn it!" The Southern Boss paused and turned to look at Rodney with a dark look on his face.

He was Rodney's father, and he did not want to abandon his son, but now that he was defeated, he could barely even protect himself, let alone help his son. Even if he was to hurry to Rodney's rescue, it would not help much because Leon and Arthur would be able to catch the two of them before they escaped.

Taking advantage of the Southern Boss's hesitation, Leon launched the Phantom Steps and closed in the distance between him and the Southern Boss.

"No!" The Southern Boss snapped out of it and turned to run without hesitation.

He gave up on saving Rodney, as he knew that if he tried, both he and his son would die.

"Southern Boss, you're a well-known figure in the southern region, yet you abandon your son to save your hide! Are you even human?!" Leon mocked.

Leon did not expect the Southern Boss to be so ruthless that he abandoned his son to survive.

"Don't bother trying to provoke me, Leon. It won't work! If you and the Thompsons dare to harm Rodney, I will kill Iris, Angus, and the others after this to avenge my son!" The Southern Boss said with determination.

The Spears were torn apart with the Four Apostles killed by Leon and many of his subordinates surrendering.

Back when the Southern Boss had a clan to look after, he dared not to kill for fear of being punished by the Dragon Corps; however, now that he lost everything, he no longer needed to hold back.

If Leon and the Thompsons dared to kill Rodney, the Southern Boss could murder the women and all of the Thompsons' descendants to avenge his son.

With his power level at the Advanced Almighty State, he could easily accomplish that.

In conclusion, once he managed to escape, Leon and Arthur were likely to spare Rodney's life out of concern for retaliation. This was far better an option than to await his death alongside his son, so the Southern Boss decided to escape on his own and leave Rodney behind. 2

"Why you!’ Leon's expression darkened upon hearing his threats; his determination to eliminate the Southern Boss strengthened as he knew that there would be catastrophic consequences if the Southern Boss escaped.

Within the blink of an eye, the two found themselves at the mansion's fate.

Once the Southern Boss got out of the mansion, he could escape Leon.

"What a powerful attack!" Shocked, the Southern Boss tensed.

Though Leon's Hurricane Break was a powerful wide-range attack, it was hardly comparable to the Potential Energy Force he wielded earlier. The Southern Boss was in the Advanced Almighty State, so he knew that he could fend off Loen's attack unless Loen managed to summon another Potential Energy Force.

"Divine Kick!’

The next moment, the Southern Boss leaped into the air and launched the Divine Kick to meet Leon's Hurricane Break.

"Baam!"

The two attacks slammed into one another and since the Southern Boss was severely injured, he was not at his full strength and Leon's attack instantly tore through the Southern Boss's attack.

"What a shame! He got away!" Arthur sighed, his expression darkening.

He knew that considering the Southern Boss's power, neither he nor Leon could stop him from running and so there was nothing much they could do.

Though the Spears came close to breaking apart, the Southern Boss was an ambitious man who might just find a chance to regain power in the future, so letting his escape meant that they might face troubles afterward.

Instantly, Leon and Arthur both felt concerned.

However, the situation took a drastic turn before they had the time to think of a solution. 2

He already knew that Loen was no match for the Southern Boss. Hence, when he saw the Southern Boss darting out of the mansion, his first thought was that Leon might have

already died at the hands of the Southern Boss or that the Southern Boss was plotting something.

Not daring to hesitate, he struck and sent the Southern Boss flying.

"It's the Dragon Guards!"

Everyone in the mansion was shocked when they saw Alfred coming in.

They all knew that the Dragon Corps aimed to maintain order in the community, but they rarely got involved in personal conflicts between families. Therefore, none of them expected the Dragon Guards to appear, led by the most powerful individual in the Southern region branch, Alfred.

"Here you are, Mister Glasbey!" Overjoyed, Leon hurried over.

He thought that the Southern Boss got away, but Alfred arrived just in time to stop the Southern Boss, so both Leon and Arthur were pleasantly surprised.

Alfred walked over to scan Leon, before sighing a breath of relief. He was worried that the Southern Boss might have defeated Leon, but Leon seemed fine.

"Mister Glasbey, what’s the meaning of this? Why did you attack me out of the blue?" The Southern Boss questioned sharply.

He knew that the Dragon Corps rarely interfered with martial artists' conflicts, so he could not comprehend why the Dragon Guards were here, nor could he understand what prompted Alfred to attack him.

He was so close to escaping but was instantly sent back to the battlefield by Alfred, so his frustration was beyond measure.

Leon was prepared for his identity to be known by all when he sought help from the Dragon Corp. Though it was best that no one knew Leon was a Dragon Guard, Alfred intended to announce it to prevent the Southern Boss from attacking Leon again. Leon and Arthur were stunned and finally understood how Alfred managed to send the Southern Boss flying into the mansion.
