Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Alfred's true energy caught onto the Southern Boss and sent him flying.

As soon as the Southern Boss landed, he instantly realized that a few of his bones were broken and he started bleeding as he struggled to get up.

"Southern Boss, how dare you work with the Demon Lord to commit such crimes?! You'll be punished for this! I advise that you follow us to the Dragon Corps to accept punishment and save yourself some suffering," Alfred said sternly, before charging toward the Southern Boss to capture him.

Though there was enough proof that the Southern Boss was working with the Demon Lord, Dragon Guards were all abided by rules and the rules dictated that they needed to take the Southern Boss back for a trial. Hence, he did not attempt to take the Southern Boss's life. However, if the Southern Boss fought back, that would no longer happen.

"It's over!" The Southern Boss's heart sank as he watched Alfred closing in their distance.

Though he was formidable, Alfred already reached the Peak Almighty State, which surpassed his strength; with all the injuries he suffered, he did not stand a chance against Alfred.

He watched as Alfred approached, his heart sinking into despair, when suddenly, the situation changed drastically.

A figure darted in through the gate of the mansion and descended before the Southern Boss.

The person launched a strike against Alfred's attack.

"Baam!"

Following a deafening sound, Alfred’s attack clashed with the other person's attack.

The person merely wavered slightly, but Alfred was forced to back away a few steps under the impact.

"Who's that?!" Alfred steadied himself and focused on the newly emerged enemy.

It was an old man in his sixties, who wore a loose robe and a demon mask that covered half of his face; his presence was overpowering and malicious, and anyone would be able to tell that he was no ordinary man.

"Hades?!" Alfred, Leon, and the others were all stunned.

It was Hades, who ranked second on the criminal list. None of the Dragon Guards expected two of the top three criminals to appear in the southern region and this caught them by surprise.

The Southern Boss reached out to the Demon Lord and Hades, and Hades did not agree to the request at first.

However, he soon recalled something important.

Criminals on the criminal list perished one after another recently, leaving only three criminals on the list.

The southern branch especially took the Poisonwielder down, the Scarlet Thief, and Asmodeus alone. Though he did not know how the Dragon Guards from the southern region managed to do so, he knew that if this continued, the Dragon Corps would soon turn their focus on the top three criminals.

This alerted Hades and he decided at the last minute to sneak his way to the southern region and spy on the Dragon Guards to investigate the death of the other criminals so that he could avoid suffering the same fate.

Because of that, he followed Alfred when he hurried to Leon's rescue. Upon seeing the Southern Boss in danger, Hades decided to help the Southern Boss after a moment of hesitation.

"Hades, why are you here? Are you here to help me?" The

Southern Boss asked in anticipation, the despair within him fading within an instant.

"Hades, how dare you come to the southern region and work with the Southern Boss? Since you're here, today will be the day you die!" Alfred snapped out of the initial shock in rage.

He already learned from Arthurthat the Southern Boss formed an alliance with the Demon Lord, and upon seeing Hades, he instantly concluded that Hades was also hired by the Southern Boss.

Without hesitation, he waved his arm and the Dragon Guards immediately surrounded Hades and the Southern Boss.

"Like the few of you can harm me. What a joke!" Hades scoffed and stared at the Dragon Guards in contempt.

He ranked second on the criminal list and reached the Peak Almighty State a few years ago.

With his strength, even the Dragon Corps in the central region struggled to deal with him, so he had no fear of Alfred and his subordinates.

"Very well! You asked for this! I shall have your head! Dragon Guards, eliminate the Southern Boss and Hades!" Alfred laughed and commanded an attack.

Hades was an infamous criminal and the Southern Boss partnered with two criminals to commit murder, so Alfred saw no reason he should hold back.

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 2383-"Yes!" Following Aldred's order, the Dragon Guards all leaped into action and darted toward Hades and the Southern Boss.

Alfred knew that Hades was slightly more powerful than him, and dared not to underestimate his opponent, so he fired up his true energy and attacked Hades alongside the other Dragon Guards.

"Know your place!" Hades scoffed and sent a powerful wave of true energy at Alfred and the Dragon Guards.

"Baam! Baam! Baam!"

The Dragon Guards backed away under the impact, leaving only Alfred to fend off Hades's attack.

He clenched his fists and darted toward Hades at the speed of lightning.

He knew that he was slightly weaker than Hades since he just reached the Peak Almighty State a few days ago, but since he was at the same power level as Hades, he stood a chance.

So long as he managed to stall Hades, the Dragon Guards should be able to help and they would still stand a chance of winning.

"As expected of the top guy in the southern region branch of the Dragon Corps!" Hades narrowed his eyes coldly and dodged Alfred's attack.

He could tell what Alfred was planning, and though he was confident that he could defend himself against Aldred and the other Dragon Guards, he was all alone and Alfred's power rivaled his, so he would not be able to defeat them either.

With that said, he would not benefit from dragging the fight out.

"Alfred, I'm a busy man, so I don't have time for you and your Dragon Guards! I'll see you around!" Hades scoffed, before grabbing the Southern Boss and charging toward the outside of the mansion.

"Oh no! Stop Hades! Don't let him get away!" Startled, Alfred immediately commanded the Dragon Guards.

The Dragon Guards hurried after Hades, but they all fell short in terms of speed and could not catch up with Hades.

Leon sent three poisonous daggers flying toward Hades and the Southern Boss.

He was so close to killing the Southern Boss, yet Hades showed up out of the blue and rescued the Southern Boss and Leon could not bring himself to simply give up, so he immediately acted to stop Hades from running.

"Hades, watch out! Those are poisonous daggers!" The Southern Boss warned.

"Poisonous, huh? What a cheap trick!" Hades sneered.

He could tell that the daggers were poisonous if the

Southern Boss did not remind him about it, so he immediately moved to wrap his loose sleeves around the daggers and swung his arm to send the daggers back at Leon at twice their original speed.

Back when he used the poisonous daggers on others, they all merely managed to strike the daggers down at best. To his bewilderment. Hades managed to turn those daggers right back at him.

Caught by surprise, he dared not to hesitate and executed the Phantom Steps to dodge.

Instantly, the daggers landed on the spot where Leon was; thankfully, Leon narrowly escaped the daggers or he would have died on the spot.

"You got lucky this time!" Hades shot Leon a sidelong glance, before grabbing the Southern Boss to leap out of the mansion.

"Damn it!" Alfred's expression darkened when he saw the Southern Boss escape with Hades.

"Leon, Hades can't get far if he is carrying the Southern Boss! I’ll leave two Dragon Guards here with you, and the rest will follow me and chase them down!” Alfred said decisively.

With both the Demon Lord and Hades spotted in the southern region, he assumed that the central region was informed on the matter and the Dragon Guards from the central region were likely on their way to the southern region as they spoke.

Hades survived this long mainly because he was good at covering his tracks, but now that he showed himself, Aid red knew that he might be able to work with the Dragon Guards from the central region to take Hades down.

Still, he came all the way to help Leon, so he intended to leave two of his subordinates with Leon to keep him safe.

"It's fine, Mister Glasbey! You should focus on going after Hades! The Thompsons and I have this under control!" Leon said.

With the Demon Lord dead and the Southern Boss gone, the Hiltons were helpless and Leon decided that he did not require the Dragon Corps' help.

"Alright, then." Alfred nodded.

Since Leon did not need any help, he decided to hurry after Hades with the other Dragon Guards.

Once they left, Leon and Arthur walked over to Angus and the others.

At the moment, Henry and August defeated the three Guardians and the other guards, and they captured Joel and Rodney.

On the other end, the Hiltons were all suffering the same.

Devon was already badly injured to begin with, and Arthur did not bother to hold back given that Joel was responsible for Yonas's death. Within a matter of seconds, he was defeated and killed by Arthur.

The rest of the Hiltons were all struggling after the Spears surrendered; though they tried to forge a way out under the lead of Bobby and the elders, Angus and the Thompson elders were far too powerful and fought bravely.

In the end, the Hiltons failed to escape and more of them perished in the process.

"Heed my words, Hiltons! I'll give you one last chance! Yield now, and we'll spare your lives! Refuse, and well show no mercy!" Arthur shouted, his voice powerful and overwhelming.

The Thompsons were the head of all families in the southern region with a grand reputation. Naturally, Arthur did not wish to kill unless it was necessary.

Since Devon was already dead, the rest of the Hiltons only worked under order and were not entirely responsible. If they were willing to admit defeat, the Thompsons need not kill them.

"It's over!" The Hiltons' hearts sank.

Following the Spears' betrayal, Devon was killed and the Southern Boss was on the run, so they no longer had the strength to fight the Thompsons.

Arthur and Leon now returned to the battlefield and if they refused to surrender, they would meet their demise.

With that thought in mind, their hearts were all filled with despair.

Someone kneeled and the other Hiltons instantly followed that person's lead, choosing to surrender.

"We surrender!" Seeing as the others surrendered, Bobby and the five elders of the Hiltons all kneeled with a bitter

look on their faces.

"Capture them all!" Arthur commanded.

The Thompson elders led the Thompsons over to seal the Hiltons' power.

With that, the battle finally came to an end.

"Mister Wolf, how should we deal with the Hiltons?" Arthur turned to Leon for advice.

He knew that they could only win because of what Leon did, so he naturally prioritized Leon's opinion on the matter.

"Well, apart from Joel, destroy all their power and chase them out of the southern region! They have three days to do it and after that, they are never to step foot in the southern region again!" Leon said thoughtfully.

He shared Arhtur's morals and did not like taking the lives of the innocents. Though the Hiltons attacked him multiple times, Joel and Devon were the culprits.

With Devon dead and Joel captured for the murder of Yonas, Leon saw no point in taking the Hiltons' lives.

Still, extreme mercy would only make him suffer; though he did not want to take their lives, he did not have a martyr complex. Hence, he decided to strip the Hiltons of their power to prevent them from seeking revenge.

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 2386-"Elders, you all heard what Mister Wolf said! Do as he said!" Arthur said to the elders.

"Yes!" The four elders of the Thompsons responded, before proceeding to strike the Energy Sea Points of the Hiltons’ member.

The Hiltons wailed and screamed, before collapsing onto the ground helplessly.

"Mister Wolf, Elder Thompsons, thank you for sparing our lives," They muttered.

Though their power was taken away from them, Leon and Arthur kept their promise and spared their lives, which was considered ideal.

On top of that, Leon gave them three days to leave the southern region, which meant that they still had time to sell their properties. So long as they stayed in line, they would be able to gather enough money to live the rest of their lives in peace.

Instantly, they were all grateful for Leon.

"Alright, you may now leave! I hope you stay in line from now on!" Leon said coldly.

"Yes!" The Hiltons sighed a breath of relief and stood up, before leaving hurriedly.

Before they left, they were instructed by Arthur to take

Devon’s dead body with them.

Joel, on the other hand, was left behind because they barely managed to escape alive themselves.

"No!" Watching the Hiltons leave, Joel paled and collapsed in despair.

He thought that the Hiltons could easily eliminate Leon if they worked with the Southern Boss, but Leon proved himself far more powerful than he could imagine.

Not only did the Hiltons and the Southern Boss fail to take Leon down, Leon turned the tables around on them.

The Hiltons and Leon never had any big conflicts to begin with, and Joel only tried to kill Leon because the Elegante Group was becoming a formidable competitor for the Hiltons Corporation.

He was the one who planned the murder of Yonas and the plot to frame Leon.

Because of his foolishness, his grandfather died and the Hiltons all lost their power.

With that, the Hiltons were eliminated.

Instantly, Joel's heart was filled with remorse and he regretted going after Leon, but it was already too late.

"Mister Wolf, what should we do with the Spears?" Arthur pointed at the Spears who surrendered.

Before Leon could say anything, the Spears kneeled before him one after the other.

"Mister Wolf, you once said you'll let us go if we surrender. Please spare us!

" The Spears pleaded.

They all knew Leon was likely a man of his word, but they all saw how the Hiltons had their power destroyed and none wished to suffer the same fate.

They fell onto their knees and begged Leon for mercy.

"Get up! I've made a promise and I'll keep it. I'll make this one thing clear, though; I can spare you, but if you dare to do anything out of line from now on, I'll hunt you down!” Leon said coldly.

Before he could continue, Arthur interrupted. "Mister Wolf, the Southern Boss has run away! It's not appropriate for you to let these people go. If the Southern Boss recruits them afterward, they might be able to regroup."

"..." The Spears' hearts sank.

They did not wish to have their power taken away from them, and if Leon accepted Arthur's advice, they would suffer an even worse fate than the Hiltons. Not only would they lose their power, they might even lose their lives.

They anxiously waited for the outcome, fearing that Arthur might convince Leon.

"It's fine! Elder Thompsons, you don't have to worry. The Southern Boss has worked with both the Demon Lord and Hades. Even if he manages to escape, the Dragon Corps will be after him for the rest of his life. It won't be possible for him to gain power again!" Leon said casually.

The Southern Boss worked with infamous criminals, which was a taboo for the Dragon Corps.

Alfred was already chasing after the Southern Boss, and even if he failed, the Dragon Corps would put out a bounty for the Southern Boss, making it extremely difficult for the Southern Boss to survive in the Southern region.

"That might be right, but," Arthur muttered hesitantly.

"It's fine! Don't worry, I know what I'm doing!" Leon smiled.

As a Dragon Guard, he had to consider the bigger picture.

With the Southern Boss defeated, the Spears fell apart and without their control, the underground community would descend into chaos, which would eventually affect the community as a whole and the Dragon Corps had to work hard to prevent such an outcome.

The Spears who surrendered were all powerful individuals with connections and with them freed, they would be able to restore order in the underground community.

Since Leon was the one who took the Southern Boss down, he had the responsibility to make sure that the aftermath was minimized or he would be held accountable for any casualty that arose.

"Oh, alright, then."

Seeing the determination in Leon’s eyes, Arthur gave up.

"Great! Thank you, Mister Wolf!"

The Spears were all overjoyed and bowed at Leon gratefully; they were all surprised and grateful that Leon did not listen to Arthur and instead let them go.

"Alright, you may all go! Remember my words. If any of you cause any trouble, I won't show you any mercy!" Leon said sternly.

"Yes, yes. We'll remember that." The Spears mumbled, before standing up to leave.

Once the Spears left, Henry and Chandler brought the three Guardians and the other guards over to Leon and kicked them at the back of their knees.

The three Guardians and the other guards grunted in pain and kneeled before Leon.

The other Spears only followed the Southern Boss for fame and money, so Leon did not mind letting them go; however, the people before him were different.

Like the Four Apostles, the men before him were the most trusted and loyal subordinates of the Southern Boss. They worked hard to protect Rodney until the very end and with some of them injured or dead, the three Guardians were the last few who were still standing.

"Mister Wolf, what should we do with them?" Henry and Chandler asked.

"Destroy their power and throw them out!' Leon commanded coldly.

"Yes, sir!"

Following his order, Henry and Chandler immediately struck the men in their Energy Sea Point.

"Ugh!" The three Guardians wailed and collapsed onto the ground.

Henry, Chandler, and the Thompsons then dragged the three Guardians and the others out.

Instantly, Leon was left with the women in his household, the Thompsons, along with Rodney and Joel.

"Mister Wolf, Joel, and Rodney were the people who killed Yonas! I beg of you to leave them to me!" Arthur asked, before turning to glare daggers at Joel and Rodney.

"Sure!" Leon nodded and stepped back to let Arthur and August take over.

"Rodney, Joel, you two will pay with your lives! I shall avenge Yonas!" Arthur said, before raising his arm to kill Rodney and Joel without hesitation.

"Don't! I'm still young, I don't want to die!" Joel paled and collapsed onto the ground, his eyes filled with desperation and fear.

"What a wimp!" Rodney shot him a disdainful look and turned to look at Arthur. "Don't bother trying to scare me. Elder Thompson! If you hurt me, my dad will hunt every last one of you down. All the Thompsons would have to pay for what you do to me!" Rodney straightened his back and faced Arthur fearlessly.

Under other circumstances, he might panic like Joel did. However, since the Southern Boss successfully escaped, Rodney was hopeful.

His father was in the Advanced Almighty State and as long as the Southern Boss was alive, the Thompsons would not dare to harm him out of fear for the Southern Boss.

Because of that, Rodney became extremely sure of himself.

"Why you!" Arthur paled and his arm froze inches away from Rodney's face.

He knew that Rodney’s threat was hardly empty.

Though the Southern Boss was no match for Arthur and Leon, other members of the Thompsons, including Angus and August, were helpless before the Southern Boss.

If they killed Rodney, the Southern Boss would try his best to retaliate by killing every last Thompson to avenge his son, and Arthur could not risk his family's safety.

"Dad, don't worry! Mister Wolf mentioned that the Dragon Corps won't spare the Southern Boss now that he has worked with both the Demon Lord and Hades! He might not even evade the Dragon Corps' punishment, so why should we be scared of him?" August said.

"Well, that's true," Arthur muttered thoughtfully and considered killing Rodney again.

"No way! My dad's powerful. He's almost as powerful as the Demon Lord. The Dragon Guards can't touch a hair on him!" Rodney narrowed his eyes and argued.

"Well," Both Arthur and August were instantly rendered speechless.

Though they knew that the Dragon Corps would target the Southern Boss from now on, the Spears went separate ways.

The Southern Boss lost everything and since the Dragon Corp would be after him, he was likely to hide himself like the other criminals on the criminal list.

Once he went into hiding, he would be as difficult to deal with as the Demon Lord, and the Dragon Corps might struggle to capture or eliminate him.

"Damn it!" Arthur's expression darkened.

He extended his arm and sent a powerful wave of actual energy that darted past Rodney's ear, before slamming against the ground.

"Dad, Rodney killed Yonas! Are you seriously going to spare him?" August gritted out when he saw that Arthur did not intend to kill Rodney.

"I know that! However, we can't harm Rodney before the Southern Boss is destroyed. Let's take him back and lock him up. Once we get rid of the Southern Boss, we will have plenty of chance to make this brat pay," Arthur sighed, his face pale with helplessness.

The Southern Boss was formidable and out of consideration for other members of the Thompsons, along with the family's legacy, Arthur could only give up on killing Rodney for the time being.

As long as Rodney was still alive, the Southern Boss would not target the Thompsons. Once they kept Rodney locked up, the Southern Boss would try his best to rescue him and the Thompsons would only need to wait for him to step into the trap, before eliminating him once and for all.

If they succeeded in doing so, all problems would be resolved.

"But," August fell into silence upon hearing Arhtur's decision.

He was reluctant to give up, but he knew Arthur was doing this for the greater good.

Since Yonas was already dead, it did not seem to matter when they avenged his death.

There was no hurry in killing Rodney and if they acted rashly, they might face retaliation from the Southern Boss, which could cause irreversible damage.

Angus, Yuri, and the others all felt the same but decided to swallow their pride out of consideration for Arthur and the family.

Though they all respected Arthur for being able to make the tough choices, they could not help but feel resigned and disheartened.

"Haha! None of you has the guts to do anything to me!" Contrary to their frustration, Rodney burst out laughing and became even more smug.

"Why you!" Angus, August, and the others glared daggers at him.

Hatred coursed through August's blood and when faced with Rodney's smugness, he desperately wished he could kill Rodney right there and then.

However, upon considering the consequences, he had to suppress his anger.

"How dare you act all smug when you are being held prisoner? Know your place!" Leon scoffed and extended his arm to launch his power, sending it directly at Rodney’s chest.

"Baam!"

Following a loud sound, Rodney was sent flying into the distance before he was given the chance to react.

A sharp pain pierced through his chest and blood spewed from his mouth before he slumped helplessly onto the ground.

"He had it coming!" The Thompsons shouted in excitement.

"Leon, you bast*rd! How dare you hit me?!" Rodney snapped out of it and glared at Leon viciously.

"So what if I hit you? Not only am I going to hit you, I'm going to destroy your power! Let us all see if you can keep up the smugness once you become a cripple!" Leon sneered maliciously. 2
