He opened the box and saw a dried herb that was shaped neither like grass nor a flower.
It was indeed a Sunlit Herb that emitted powerful light energy.
"Also, you killed the Demon Lord all on your own a few days ago, so you get ten thousand contribution points for that! I'll transfer those points under your name now," Alfred added.
According to the Dragon Corps' rules, people who could eliminate the individuals on the criminal list on their own could earn five thousand contribution points.
However, it was different for the top three criminals.
Since they were far too formidable, the price for taking them down doubled.
Leon killed the Demon Lord on his own, so he earned ten thousand contribution points for it.
However, Alfred just handed him a Sunlit Herb, which would cost Leon three thousand points.
Leon handed his badge to Alfred and Alfred added a total of seven- thousand points to it.

With the contribution points he had, he had more than enough to trade one Fairy Fruit and two plants that carried light energy.
Plants that carried light energy could produce Sun Pills that helped martial artists with their training and Leon's lack of supporters was always his weakness, so he wished to obtain two more plants that could help him with increasing his followers.
If he accepted Alfred's advice and became the next Southern Boss, he might be able to build a force of his own within two to three years. That was surely a fast way to obtain power.
However, the underground community was packed with vicious people and Leon was hardly anything like the Southern Boss, so it would not be wise for him to get involved.
Furthermore, he did not wish to be bound to the southern region, fearing that might affect the future development of Cynthion Group and Elegante Group.

Though he did not know why Leon needed so many plants with Light Energy, but he was wise enough to guess that Leon was using them to increase his power.
However, such plants were rare, especially the ones that carried light energy. Anyone who trained with light methods would want to increase their power or break past the bottleneck of their training.
It would not be easy to locate such plants for Leon anytime soon, and it all came down to luck.
"Mister Glasbey, I'll leave this to you! If you don't need anything else from me, I'll take my leave now," Leon said with a smile.
He then bid his farewell and left with the Sunlit Herb.
After leaving the Dragon Corps, he drove to Scammells Corporation to obtain some precious herbs from Damian, before returning home to transform the Sunlit Herb into alchemical pills.
The Sunlit Herbs worked the same way with Nine Suns Flowers, with both carrying light energy. Hence, the alchemical pills that were made with either could help martial artists who studied light methods with their training.
Leon once used a Nine Suns Flower along with some other rare herbs to produce twelve Sun Pills. He did the same with the Sunlit Herb and produced twelve pills.
Since the effect of the pills was practically the same as the Sun Pills, he decided to refer to them as Sun Pills as well.
Once that was done, he realized it was still early and drove to the Thompsons’ mansion.
Some time ago, Angus requested a few Sun Pills through Roanne, but Leon only had one Sun Pill left at the time.
He handed the pill to Roanne and promised that he would save a few Sun Pills for the Thompsons once he made more.
Now that the new Sun Pills were produced, he intended to visit the Thompsons and fulfill his promise.

All direct descendants along with other important individuals gathered around.
Arthur once announced in public that he intended to name Angus the new leader of Leon's mansion.
However, the Thompsons were busy making arrangements for Yonas's funeral, so Arthur was too busy to appoint Angus
as the new leader officially.
On this day, he summoned all the Thompsons and announced his decision.
"Angus, according to our tradition, we should have an official ceremony, but Yonas recently died and if we organize a
grand ceremony now, we might invite criticism! I'm sorry about this, but I'll arrange for a proper ceremony for you once we
get rid of the Southern Boss," Arthur said.
The Thompsons were the head of all families and very often, matters as important as the shifting of leaders would require
a ceremony; guests from all the powerful families would be invited to witness the handover.
However, with Yonas's funeral recently ending, it would be inappropriate for them to host a ceremony right after that.
Hence, Arthur decided to hand his power down to Angus first and hold the ceremony afterward.
"Yeah, I understand. Uncle, if this isn't the right time for the ceremony, what's the hurry in passing down the role to me?
Why don't you keep leading the family and wait for the right moment to select an heir?" Angus said hesitantly, hoping to
convince Arthur to change his mind.
"No. I've made my decision! Joel and Rodney are now under our control, but we have yet to avenge Yonas since the
Southern Boss is still out there. I just want to set aside the responsibility as the leader and focus on my training so that I
can eliminate the Southern Boss soon." Arthur shook his head and said with determination.
Rodney and Joel were locked in the basement of the Thompsons mansion and Arthur intended to watch them personally.
That way, he would have enough time to train and stand a better chance of reaching the Peak Almighty State.
Moreover, he wanted to wait until the Southern Boss came to rescue Rodney.
Once the Southern Boss appeared, he would be able to take him out for good.
Naturally, waiting for his enemy to come seemed foolish, but the Southern Boss was nowhere to be found and this was
the only option for Arthur.
"Oh, alright, then." Seeing how determined Arthur was, Angus accepted his fate.
With that, Angus took over the control of the Thompsons and became the new leader.
"Angus, there's something else I’d like to talk to you about. Now that the Spears are gone and the Southern Boss is on the
run, they won’t be of much threat to Mister Wolf. You should tell Roanne to move out of Mister Wolf's place as soon as
possible before rumors start spreading and affect our reputation," Artur said thoughtfully.

"Rumors can destroy you. You should move back!"
The others agreed along as well.
"But," Roanne was reluctant to give up and wanted to argue, but before she could say anything, she was interrupted by
Angus.
"It's settled!" Angus said decisively, leaving no room for argument.
"I-" Roanne opened her mouth, tears welling in her eyes, but she did not know what to say.
Though she had feelings for Leon, she knew he was dating Iris and never intended to tear them apart.
She only stayed with them to see Leon more frequently, yet even such an insignificant wish was to be taken away from
her.
Instantly, she was devastated.
Just then, hurried footsteps approached and a guard entered.
"Elder, Master Angus, Mister Wolf's here to visit. He said he has something important to discuss with you," the guard said
respectfully.
Since Arthur just handed his position as the head over to Angus earlier and the guard was unaware of it, he continued to
address Arthur as, Elder, and Angus as Master Angus.
"Mister Wolfs here?"
Arthur and Angus were both shocked as they did not expect Leon to visit all of a sudden.
"Go and invite Mister Wolf in," Angus said thoughtfully to the guard.
Though they were in the middle of a family meeting and outsiders were not supposed to come in, Leon was close with the
Thompsons and the meeting was ending, so there was no issue with inviting him in.
"It's fine! Uncle Angus, I've invited myself in!" Just then, Leon strode in with a smile.
Arthur, Angus, and the others stood to welcome him.
"Uncle Angus, I didn't know you guys were having a meeting. Am I intruding?" Leon scanned the room and spotted all the
important individuals of the Thompsons gathering around. He knew that Arthur intended to name Angus the next head of
the family, so he soon figured out what the meeting was about.
"Of course, not. The meeting ends here. You may all go!" Angus said to the others.
"Yes!" The Thompsons left at his command, and soon, the elders and direct descendants of the Thompsons were the only
ones left in the room.
"Mister Wolf, please take a seat." Angus smiled and invited Leon to sit.
After a few exchanges of pleasantries, Angus cut to the chase. "What brought you here today, Mister Wolf?"
"Well, now that the Spears have fallen apart and the Southern Boss is gone, the underground community is slowly
spiraling out of control. Mister Glasbey of the Dragon Corps wants me to recommend someone to take after the Southern
Boss and keep everyone in check. I came to ask if the Thompsons are willing to do that," Leon explained.
Naturally, his identity as a Dragon Guard remained a secret.

"Well, Mister Wolf, I'm sorry, but the Thompsons have no intention of getting involved. Please forgive us," Angus smiled
apologetically and refused.
Arthur and the other elders shook their heads as well, clearly not wanting anything to do with the underground community.
The Thompsons were the head of all families in the southern region, and they valued their reputation, to the point that they
just commanded Roanne to move out of Leon's house against her will.
With that said, they could not possibly take control of the underground community or they might be condemned by others.
"As expected, Uncle Angus, is there anything in the Thompsons that you can recommend, then?" Leon asked.
He guessed that the Thompsons would refuse, so he was not surprised.
Still, the Thompsons had connections everywhere and his goal could be achieved if Angus or Arthur could recommend
someone to him.
"Um, Mister Wolf, forgive me for being blunt, but I think that you're the best candidate for this!" Angus said.
"Me?" Leon was stunned.
"Of course! You might be young, but you're talented in all aspects. A lot of the seniors here in the southern region fall short
compared to you! With your capability, it shouldn't be hard to keep the underground community in check! Also, you let the
Spears go during the battle with the Southern Boss. A lot of them were grateful and impressed by you. If you were to
replace the Southern Boss, those people might just work for you, making your reign even smoother," Angus praised.
Back when Leon set the Spears free, both Angus and Arthur were slightly concerned. It was not until now that they
realized how wise Leon was.
By setting them free, the underground community was temporarily stabilized and the Spears were all grateful for Leon's
act of mercy. Should Leon decide to take the Southern Boss's place, many of them would choose to work for Leon.
So long as Leon recruited the ones who used to work for the Southern Boss, he could easily take control of everything
and become the next Southern Boss.
"You're too kind, Uncle Angus, but I share your opinion. I just want to work on Elegante Group and Cynthion Group, so I

He only let the Spears go because he wanted them to stabilize the situation. He never considered making them his
subordinates, nor did he plan on becoming the next Southern Boss.
Angus overestimated him and he was hardly as ambitious and wise as Angus thought him to be.

affect the future development of Elegante Group and Cynthion Group.

If he replaced the Southern Boss, he would be bound to the southern region, which was hardly beneficial for him.
"It's fine! Mister Wolf, I have a solution for you!" Arthur said.
"What is it?" Leon looked at Arthur in confusion.
"According to what I know, you have two subordinates who are in the Almighty State. You can pick one of them to replace
the Southern Boss! That way, you won't be bound to the southern region and you can control the underground community
through them! You can kill two birds with one stone!" Arthur smiled.
After the battle with the Southern Boss, he got to know Henry and Chandler, so he suggested that Leon pick one of them
to take control. That way, all issues could be resolved.
"Well," Leon felt struck and tempted by Arthur's suggestion.
Though the underground community included power from all different backgrounds, their activities danced around the grey
area and were mostly legal. Whoever took charge of the community would have great resources at their disposal.
Leon and the Thompsons went through a lot of hardship before they finally took the Southern Boss and the Spears down.
If the Thompsons were willing to take over the Southern Boss's influence, Leon did not mind letting them enjoy the benefit
that would come with that.
However, the Thompsons were reluctant to get involved and if Leon arranged for another family to replace the Southern
Boss, it would be unfair to him and the Thompsons.
Hence, preparing Henry or Chandler for the role to see if they could keep the underground community in check in his
place would be a great solution.
However, upon careful consideration, he gave up on the idea.
He only recruited Henry and Chandler because he needed to resolve the security crisis for the Elegante Group and
Cynthion Group, and also to protect Iris, Cynthia, Snow, and Ruth.
Henry was in charge of guarding the Cynthion group and protecting Cynthia and Ruth, whereas Chandler was responsible
for guarding the Elegante Group and protecting Iris and Snow.
If Leon were to place either of them in another role, the women's safety would not be guaranteed.
The women encountered countless attacks in recent times and Leon could still remember each accident like they just
happened yesterday.
After what happened, he could not possibly repeat the same mistake.
From Leon's perspective, it did not matter how he would benefit from taking charge of the underground community as the
safety of his friends was his priority.
He could not assign Henry or Chandler to other responsibilities, or he would regret it should the women encounter dangeronce again.

feeling convinced by Arhtur's idea.
"No! I have other plans for Henry and Chandler, so they can't replace the Southern Boss," Leon shook his head.
For the safety of the four women in his life, he did not accept Arhtur's suggestion.
"It's fine! Mister Wolf, don't you have other subordinates as well? If you have other plans for those two martial artists, why
not arrange for someone else to replace the Southern Boss? It will work the same way," Arthur said thoughtfully.
"Well," Leon wavered as Mason's face appeared in his mind.
Mason was once a thug and knew his way around the underground community. If he were to replace the Southern Boss,
this would be the perfect solution and Mason would make a much better candidate than Henry and Chandler.
However, Mason was far too weak and did not even reach the Emperor State. If Mason attempted to take control of the
underground community, he would not be respected.
Even if Leon was to remove all obstacles for Mason by force, it would not help as once Leon was away, others would try
to assassinate Mason behind his back.
If that happened, he might be putting Mason in danger.
"Mister Wolf, this rare opportunity doesn't come around so often! You don't have much influence here in the southern
region and if you seize control over the underground community now, this will make up for your weakness," Arthur added.
He knew Leon's background and that he was incredibly talented in business and martial arts. It was hardly an
overstatement to say that he surpassed even Yuri, who was once referred to as the most promising youngster in the
southern region.
Leon's only weakness was his lack of supporters and his humble background, and these were the reasons why the
Southern Boss picked on him as he pleased.
However, the chance to change that presented itself.
So long as Leon took charge of the underground community and created a clan of his own to recruit powerful martial
artists, he would rule over the southern region within a year or two. This was the fastest way for Leon to gain power.
"I know. Let me think about this," Leon sighed.
He knew that assigning someone to rule in his name would be a great solution. However, Henry and Chandler had other
responsibilities, and Mason needed to be stronger for the job.
Either way, there would be risks and Leon had to weigh his options carefully.
Still, his visit to the Thompsons was productive as Arthur's suggestion gave him some insights.
He now viewed the issue differently but still needed time to sort out the details and devise a plan.

"What is it?" Arthur and Angus asked in confusion.
"Well, Uncle Angus wanted to buy a few Sun Pills from me, and I've produced a new batch, so I came here to deliver them
to you,” Leon explained.

"Really? That's wonderful!" Arthur and the others were overjoyed.
Angus knew just how miraculously the pills worked. He once took a Sun Pill and with its aid, he reached the Initial
Almighty State from the Semi-Almighty State.
He tried multiple times to purchase more Sun Pills from Leon before for Yuri and Yonas' sakes.
Though Yonas was already dead, Yuri was yet to take the Sun Pill, and since Leon produced a new batch, that meant Yuri
could finally take the Sun Pill.
Once Yuri took one, his power would be greatly enhanced, which meant he might reach the Semi-Almighty State or even
the Almighty State.
Given his age and talent, his future would be promising if he reached the Almighty State.
This would ultimately benefit the Thompsons.
"Uncle Angus, here are three Sun Pills. I don't have that many of these, so I can only afford to give three to you. I hope
you're okay with that," Leon said and took out a flask, took three pills from it, and handed them to Angus.
He only produced twelve pills this time and needed to save a few for himself, so giving three Sun Pills to the Thompson
was the best he could do.
"Three are more than enough! Thank you, Mister Wolf." Angus beamed gratefully.
He knew that Sun Pills were made with extremely rare herbs that contained light energy, and these herbs were hard to
come across.
Considering how rare they were, he only hoped that Leon could spare a Sun Pill for Yuri, yet Leon generously offered
them three, so he was overjoyed.
Angus accepted the pills, and the smile on his face froze." Hang on! Mister Wolf, why do these Sun Pills look different
from the ones we saw before?"
He once took a Sun Pill and recognized the pill well.
The pill he took at the time was as white as snow, yet the three pills Leon just handed him had a faint tint of green.
Confused, he was instantly at a loss.
"Oh, the Sun Pills before were produced using a Nine Suns Flower, but this batch of pills was made with Sunlit herb
instead. Since the main ingredients were different, these look slightly different in color," Leon explained.

According to what he knew, the Sun Pills could aid martial artists in the Semi-Almighty State in getting to the Almighty
State.
Originally, he planned to hand one of the Sun Pills to Yuri and leave the other two to two other family members who were
in the Semi-Almighty State to produce two more martial artists in the Almighty State for the Thompsons.
Yet, Leon asked that Arthur take one of the pills, which confused Angus.
Arthur, Yuri, and the others were all equally confused.
"Uncle Angus, you may not know this, but the Sun Pills can increase the energy within martial artists who practice light
methods. They don't just work for martial artists in the SemiAlmighty State, but for those in other states as well! Since
Elder Thompson is in the Advanced Almighty State and has tremendous energy within him, he might just need one Sun
Pill to have a breakthrough and reach the Peak Almighty
State!" Leon explained.
Arthur publicly announced that he was choosing Angus as the next leader of the family partly because he wanted to set
his responsibility as the leader aside so that he could focus on his training and reach the Peak Almighty State as soon as
possible.
Leon knew about this and asked Arthur to try the Sun Pill because he wanted to see how the new version of the Sun Pill
worked, but also wanted to take this opportunity to grant Arhtur's wish of reaching the Peak Almighty State.
Afford More, Worry Less
Once Arthur reached the Peak Almighty State, he would be fully capable of capturing the Southern Boss if the Southern
Boss appeared to rescue Rodney.
"What?"
Arthur, Angus, and the others were all stunned.
Though a Sun Pill could produce a martial artist in the Initial Almighty State for the Thompsons, that was hardly
comparable to having a member of the family reach the
Peak Almighty State. If the Sun Pill could indeed help Arthur get to the Peak Almighty State, it would be worth it even if
they had to give Arthur all three Sun Pills.

Arthur snapped out of it and asked in disbelief.
The Peak Almighty State was a few levels away from the Initial Almighty State, so he found it hard to believe that the Sun
Pill could help with his training at all.
Apart from Arthur, the others felt the same and struggled to believe that the Sun Pill contained such power.
