"Southern Boss, are you done deciding? Are you coming to the central region with me, or are you staying here?" Hades asked, setting aside his plan to take Leon out.

"Well," The Southern Boss muttered thoughtfully and decided. "Never mind. I'm heading to the western region! The Western Boss is a friend of mine and I will seek refuge with him. Once I get better. I'll go to the central region," the Southern Boss said.

He was wanted for working with Hades and the Demon Lord, so Alfred and the Dragon Guards would not show him any mercy. Therefore, it would only be possible for him to remain in the southern region. However, he knew no one in the central region, so it seemed pointless to head there either.

The Dragon Guards in the central region were far more powerful, including martial artists in the Peak Almighty State and even the Semi-Saint State.

The Southern Boss was only at the Advanced Almighty State and was badly injured; if he ran into the Dragon Guards in the central region, he would certainly perish.

In the end, he decided to hide under the Western Boss's protection, so that he could focus on recovering and could get the Western Boss's help to save Rodney from the Thompsons once he recovered.

Leon and the Thompsons caused everything that he suffered and he swore to retaliate no matter the cost.

However, Leon was simply far too formidable and he knew that he might not be capable of harming Leon, so he decided to leave it to Hades and Brahma. Once they eliminated Leon, he could find a way to destroy the Thompsons.

"Do as you please! If you don't intend to head to the central region, I'll get going now!" Hades said.

Fearing that the Dragon Guards would catch up with him at any moment, he did not linger and bided farewell with the Southern Boss, before leaving.

Once Hades left, the Southern Boss started heading toward the western region to seek refuge with the Western Boss.

Meanwhile, in the Heavenly Waters Estate, Leon just entered the recovery phase and was resting on his bed while the others stayed by his side to care for him.

Sometime later, colors began to return to his cheeks and he slowly began to recover.

"Leon, that Potential Energy Force you wielded was so impressive! Where'd you get it?" Ruth blurted out asking, still caught in shock by the power of the Potential Energy Force she witnessed earlier.

Iris, Cynthia, and Snow all felt the same.

Though they saw Leon wield it once in the past, he only managed to injure a martial artist in the Emperor State, which led them to believe that its power was at the Emperor or the Almighty State at best. To their bewilderment, the Potential Energy Force's power surpassed their imagination and took out even the Demon Lord within a blink of an eye.

At that moment, they finally realized they underestimated the Potential Energy Force Leon possessed.

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 2402-"The Potential Energy Forces were given to me by a great martial artist and he gave me a total of three. Unfortunately, I've used them all up," Leon said regretfully. He proceeded to briefly explain everything without exposing Master Haslewood's identity as he was related to the Dragon Corps.

"You used it all up?" The women were all slightly disappointed.

They all witnessed the power of the Potential Energy Force and knew that no one in the entire Sky County could harm Leon if he possessed more Potential Energy Forces.

They all wished that he could obtain more so that they did not have to worry about him anymore, but reality proved that it was merely their wishful thinking as Leon used the only three Potential Energy Forces he possessed.

"Leon, where's this martial artist? Can't you talk to him and ask for more?" Cynthia asked.

Iris and Cynthia knew Leon for the longest time and as the president of Cynthion Group, Cynthia knew that the company had great potential; if it continued to grow, more people like the Southern Boss would target Leon.

With that in mind, she desperately wished that Leon could have more Potential Energy Forces to protect himself with.

"Yeah!" Iris, Snow, and Ruth agreed along.

They all agreed with Cynthia and wished that Leon could obtain more Potential Energy Forces.

"No, that's not possible!" Leon shook his head.

He considered asking Master Haslewood for more Potential Energy Forces, but it took great energy for Master Haslewood to store the Potential Energy Forces and it would require him to rest for at least two to three months before fully recovering.

Master Haslewood only offered him the Potential Energy Forces as a gesture of gratitude after Leon cured him. Now that the debt was paid and with consideration of how consuming the process could be, it would be unreasonable for Leon to ask for more and he could not bring himself to be so shameless.

"Forget it, then. If you can't get more Potential Energy Forces, so be it! You have already reached the Intermediate Almighty State, and there aren't that many people in the southern region who can beat you now! We don't have to worry so much," Iris said with a smile.

She beamed upon mentioning Leon's accomplishment and power, her eyes sparkling with pride and appreciation.

When she first met him, Leon was merely a poor man with nothing to his name, but within a little over a year, he transformed into the ruler of Springfield City. After arriving in the southern region, he grew into a powerful martial artist in the Intermediate Almighty State.

It was hardly an exaggeration that Leon achieved greatness that no other man had in terms of power level and career.

Leon exceeded Iris's expectations and she was happy for him.

Cynthia, Snow, and Ruth all beamed and decided that they worried too much.

Indeed, with Leon reaching the invincible state of Intermediate Almighty State, no one other than Arthur could rival him.

Even without the Potential Energy Forces, no one could harm him.

'I hope so," Leon sighed, clearly not as optimistic as the others.

Though he eliminated the Spears and the Hiltons, the Southern Boss escaped alive.

Considering the grudges between him and the Southern Boss, he knew that the Southern Boss would return, seeking revenge.

So long as the Southern Boss was still alive, he could not rest.

Just as he was absorbed in his thoughts, footsteps approached and Mason hurried inside.

"Mister Wolf, Mister Glasby from the Dragon Corps is here to see you," Mason reported respectfully.

"Oh, let him in," Leon said. He cast his thoughts about the Southern Boss aside and tried to get up.

Iris and Cynthia reacted immediately and helped him up.

Snow brought and propped a pillow behind his back thoughtfully.

With that, Mason left the room and let Alfred inside along with a few Dragon Guards.

There were a few unfamiliar faces next to Alfred, including an old man dressed in green and a few other men.

They strode into the room.

"Leon, what happened to you? Are you alright?" Alfred was shocked when he saw the pale look on Leon's face.

Leon seemed fine earlier, so he could not understand why Leon suddenly weakened to such an extent.

"I'm fine. Just my injuries acting up. A few days of rest will help," Leon answered briefly.

"I'm glad," Alfred relaxed.

"Iris, you should all excuse yourself." Leon knew that he should not let others know that he was a Dragon Guard, so he signaled the others to leave.

Soon, Leon was left in the room with Alfred and his companions.

"Mister Glasby, who's this?" Leon glanced at the old man standing next to Alfred in confusion.

"Oh, allow me to introduce you; This is a second-level Platinum Dragon Guard from the central region, Mister Jubert. The others are all skilled martial artists from the central region as well. Mister Jubert, this is a level- five Platinum Dragon Guard from our region, Leon Wolf," Alfred introduced.

"Mister Jubert, it's a pleasure to meet you." Leon greeted, all the while feeling surprised.

In the Dragon Corps of all regions, a second-level Platinum Dragon Guard was considered an extremely rare existence. Only martial artists in the Peak Almighty State could be assigned such a title.

Since Zach was a second-level Platinum Dragon Guard, he had much higher authority than Leon, so Leon dared not to show any disrespect.

Furthermore, since the Demon Lord and Hades both fled to the southern region, Leon assumed that Zach and the others tracked the two here.

"Pleasure, Mister Wolf! What a surprise that someone your age manages to become a Platinum Dragon Guard! How impressive!" Zach said and studied Leon calmly.

As soon as Zach arrived in the southern region, he received news from Alfred and learned that Hades showed himself.

Zach hurried to the scene and joined forces with Alfred's group, before collaborating to search for Hades.

Unfortunately, Hades was one step ahead of them and left the southern region.

After two hours of searching, neither Zach nor Alfred could locate Hades, and they had to give up in the end.

Afterward, Alfred brought Zach to the Heavenly Waters Estate to meet with Leon.

Zach did not know why Alfred made such an arrangement, but as a second- level Platinum Dragon Guard, he had little to no regard for a young man like Leon. Hence, he merely exchanged a few pleasantries with Leon out of respect for Alfred.

Following a brief conversation, Leon asked worriedly, "Mister Glasby, how'd it go? Did you manage to track the Southern Boss and Hades?"

Alfred sighed with resignation and frustration. "No. They escaped and were nowhere to be found.”

"I see." Leon's heart sank.

He and Arthur foresaw that Alfred and the other Dragon Guards from the southern region would fail to catch up with the Southern Boss and Hades, so Leon was not particularly surprised.

"Mister Glasby, according to what we know in the central region, both Hades and the Demon Lord were here! Though Hades has escaped, the Demon Lord should still be here. I think we need to return to the southern region branch to try and track the Demon Lord! Let's not waste time here," Zach said in displeasure.

Upon tracking Hades's track alongside Alfred and the others, he concluded that Hades likely returned to the central region. However, since the Demon Lord was still in the southern region, Zach did not rush back to the central region and stayed to assist Alfred with the search for the Demon Lord.

Hopefully, they would be able to eliminate the Demon Lord or chase him back to the central region to prevent him from causing trouble in the southern region.

However, Alfred completely ignored their mission of pursuing the Demon Lord and brought Zach to meet with a fifth-level Platinum Dragon Guard.

Zach could not help but feel like Alfred's priority was odd.

"Mister Jubert, there's no rush. I brought you here to meet with Leon precisely because of the Demon Lord. You probably don't know this, but the Demon Lord's dead,” Alfred smiled and said, before proceeding to explain what happened briefly.

"What?! Are you saying that Mister Wolf here killed the Southern Boss? Really?" Zach was shocked.

The Demon Lord ranked third on the criminal list and long reached the Advanced Almighty State; he was said to be close to reaching the Peak Almighty State, which was something that Zach knew.

For someone as powerful and cunning as the Demon Lord, even Zach himself would struggle to take him down in a one-on-one battle.

However, Alfred claimed that the Demon Lord was killed by Leon, a mere fifth-level Platinum Dragon Guard.

It sounded so surreal that he was completely stunned.

He was not the only one and the other Dragon Guards from the central region reacted the same way. They all gaped at Alfred in disbelief, unable to tell if Alfred was telling the truth.

"Indeed!" Alfred nodded and turned to look at Leon, "Leon, where's the Demon Lord's body? I came to take his body back for a DNA test."

Though he already checked the body and identified the body, he needed to act according to the rules of the Dragon Corps and take the body to the National Security Department for proper verification.

This was the main reason he came to Leon.

On top of that, the Demon Lord came from the central region, so he planned to hand the body over to Zach once the test was completed.

"Oh, I had my men watch over the body," Leon said.

He knew about the required procedures in the Dragon Corps, so when he ordered Chandler, Mason, and the others to clean the area, he arranged for Spencer and Stephen to store the Demon Lord's body elsewhere.

He called Spencer and ordered him to bring the Demon Lord's body over.

Shortly after, footsteps approach, spencer and Stephen arrived carrying a stretcher; on top of the stretcher was the Demon Lord's body, covered by a white cloth.

"Mister Wolf, here's the body of the Demon Lord," Spencer said.

"Alright. That's all. You may leave," Leon said after gesturing to the Sharp brothers to lay the Demon Lord's body before Alfred.

With that, Spencer and Stephen left.

Zach and the other Dragon Guards from the central region exchanged looks of bewilderment as they studied the body covered by a white cloth.

None of them believed that Leon truly killed the Demon Lord.

'Mister Jubert, if you have doubts, please lift the white cloth and see for yourself," Alfred said with a smile.

"Very well. Let me see if the Demon Lord's truly dead," Zach said, lifting the cloth.

The Demon Lord's lifeless body was revealed.

'This is the Demon Lord!!!’ Zach and the other Dragon Guards from the central region were all stunned.

Since they all came from the southern region, they knew everything about the Demon Lord, and judging from the chrematistics of the body before them, they were certain that the body belonged to the Demon Lord.

"This is wonderful! So Mister Wolf did kill the Demon Lord! What a heroic young man! Mister Wolf, you're amazing. You have my respect!" Zach recovered from the initial shock and burst into laughter.

The Demon Lord was formidable and extremely skilled at covering his track.

The Dragon Guards from the central region attempted to launch attacks on the Demon Lord multiple times but always failed.

To their bewilderment, Leon, a mere fifth-level Platinum Dragon Guard, managed to kill the Demon Lord.

It was practically a miracle.

Zach underestimated Leon because of his age and realized at this moment that Leon was far more capable than he originally imagined.

The others from the central region felt the same and all turned to Leon with respect.

"Mister Jubert, you are too kind. I just got lucky," Leon said with a smile.

"Lucky? Leon, you're being far too modest! You killed four out of the eight criminals on the list. Luck alone won't accomplish that!" Alfred said.

"Mister Glasbey, what did you just say? Mister Wolf killed four out of the eight criminals on the list? Am- Am I hearing you correctly?" Zach froze in shock.

The others from the central region stared at Alfred in bewilderment as well.

"You heard right! Mister Jubert, apart from the Demon Lord, Leon also killed the Poisonwielder, Asmodeus, and the Scarlet Thief," Alfred explained and briefly recounted the previous events.

"What?! I see!" Despite their shock, realization dawned on them.

The Dragon Corp in the central region made a few announcements, praising their counterpart in the southern region effort, upon receiving news about the deaths of the Poisonwielder, Asmodeus, and the Scarlet Thief.

They all thought that this was accomplished by the Dragon Guards from the southern region and that the three criminals were eliminated by joined effort.

To their bewilderment, the person who killed the three criminals was Leon. On top of that, he did so all by himself and simply allowed the others to take the credit because he wished to keep his head low.

"Very well! Mister Wolf, you're indeed a hero! It's truly a pleasure to meet you today!" Zach laughed.

Though the Poisonwielder, Asmodeus, and the Scarlet Thief were hardly comparable to the Demon Lord, all criminals on the list were cunning and hard to track.

The fact that Leon managed to hunt down four of them was a miracle.

Zach was both shocked and impressed by Leon's talent.

"That's right!"

"Mister Wolf, how great of you to work for our community at such a young age!"

"You're a role model for US all!"

The others from the central region praised him as they studied Leon with respect.

Individuals on the criminal lists were all infamous, vicious sinners.

Leon was capable of killing four criminals, which not only proved himself a powerful martial artist but also a hero for their community.

Furthermore, despite the greatness he accomplished, he did not intend to take credit for it at all. Such talent and mentality were enough to earn their respect.

After that, Alfred changed the subject. "Mister Jubert, Leon has been badly injured. Let's return to the Dragon Corps and let him rest."

"Sure! Mister Wolf, we won't overstay our welcome, then! If you ever have the chance to visit the central region, please notify me so we can have a good talk," Zach said sincerely.

Upon learning what Leon was capable of, he was eager to befriend Leon. However, since Leon was indeed injured and needed rest, Zach could only give up for now.

However, should Leon visit the central region, he would take the opportunity to get familiar with Leon.

Elegante Group, and most of its businesses were taken over by Iris, who was particularly talented in business matters.

Elegante Group benefited greatly from this and its competitive power and share of the market increased drastically, making it the top cosmetic firm in the southern region.

Meanwhile, after the Southern Boss's downfall, the underground community lost its leader and descended into chaos.

Thankfully, Leon planned one step and set the people who worked for the Spears to go.

These martial artists were all formidable and had certain connections in the community.

With these people in power, the chaos soon settled down and no issue should arise anytime soon.

Following the defeat of the Southern Boss and the Hiltons, the news of Leon and the Thompsons’ success stunned the entire Southern region.

Without the Southern Boss as a competitor, the Thompsons became the one and only ruler of the southern region.

Leon's fame rose as well and he became one of the most respected individuals in the region. With that, he and the Cynthion Group finally secured their positions in the southern region.

The only shame was that Leon was not from a powerful family and since he did not have a clan of his own, his reputation still could not hold a candle to that of the Thompsons.

Still, his power and the influence of Cynthion Group enabled him to be one of the main players in the community as a new -rising star.

No one in the southern region would dare to underestimate him ever again.

One morning, Leon finished his breakfast and drove to the Dragon Corps according to what he promised Alfred.

He soon met with Alfred in the office.

"Leon, welcome. How's your injury?" Alfred set his work aside and stood to welcome Leon with a smile.

"I feel much better now. Mister Glasbey, why did you ask me here?" Leon asked.

"Here's the thing. The Spears have disbanded and the Southern Boss fled. Without them, the underground community has started to cause trouble in recent days. I summoned you here to discuss what we should do about this." Alfred cut to the chase.

The Southern Boss was once the ruler of the underground community with great influence and power.

The Dragon Guards only left the Southern Boss alone for so long because of that. Once the Southern Boss fell, the other parties in the community would fight for power, leading to large-scale crossfire and casualties, which would affect the society as a whole.

This was not something that the Dragon Corps wished to see.

However, since Leon defeated the Southern Boss who worked with the Demon Lord and Hades, there was no way that the Dragon Corps could spare the Southern Boss any longer.

The Southern Boss's downfall and death were merely a matter of time.

As the person in charge of the southern region branch of Dragon Corps, Alfred needed to find a way to maintain order within the underground community before chaos erupted; it was part of his duty.

"Don't worry, Mister Glasbey! I set a lot of the Southern Boss's subordinates free before this. With those people in place, there should be no issue for now," Leon explained.

"That may be true, but it's temporary! If we want to stabilize the underground community, we need someone to replace the Southern Boss and take control! That alone is the permanent solution!” Alfred said.

"Well," Leon was at a loss for words.

Alfred was right. The underground community included many criminals and ruthless individuals. Using the people who once worked for the Southern Boss to suppress them would only help temporarily.

As time went on, the different powers at play would soon conflict with one another over profits.

Indeed, this was hardly a great solution and all challenges could be countered if someone could replace the Southern Boss.

Back when Leon was in springfield City, he defeated Harold and the Lowes but managed to get Vincent to replace Harold almost immediately, which stabilized the power dynamic of the community.

This was a similar situation and Leon knew he and Alfred had to recommend someone else to take after the Southern Boss to be safe.

"Mister Glasbey, how about this? I'll speak to the Thompsons and they can send someone to do this! Based on their power, they should be more than capable of controlling the underground community." Leon thought of the Thompsons.

He knew that there were many powerful martial artists amongst the Thompsons, and their influence took root deep within the southern region. So long as the Thompsons were willing to help, they could easily take over.

"I'm afraid not! The Thompsons are a righteous bunch and would likely be reluctant to get involved," Alfred shook his head.

"Um," Leon was rendered speechless.

He was close with the Thompsons and knew them better than Alfred did.

Indeed, as the head of all families in the southern region, the Thompsons valued their reputation and would not be willing to get involved in the conflicts of the underground community.

The Thompsons became the ruler of the southern region in every sense, so even if every member of the underground community were to combine their forces, they would not pose a threat to the Thompsons.

With that said, the Thompsons had no reason to get involved.

Since Leon had his businesses, he was fit to take over the Southern Boss's properties and businesses.

Despite Leon's young age, he was formidable enough to defeat even the Demon Lord and the Southern Boss.

For someone like Leon, it would not be challenging to take charge of the underground community.

So long as Leon was willing to take over the Southern

Boss's position, he could stabilize the power dynamic of the underground community and the southern region Dragon Corps could control the community through Leon to better maintain the order.

"What? But, what won't work?!" Leon was shocked as he did not expect Alfred to target him instead.

Cynthion Group had great potential and influence, so Leon was not short of fame or money.

He had no interest in taking charge of the underground community, nor did he want to be involved in their conflicts.

If he was interested in such a thing, he would not have told Vincent to take over the Lowes' territory after Harold, the Northern King, was defeated.

"I know that this isn't where your ambition lies, but I can't find a better candidate other than you!" Alfred sighed.

But," Leon tried to refuse again but was interrupted by Alfred.

He knew that for someone as accomplished and young as Leon who was talented in martial art and business, his future was bright and Alfred did not wish for him to be bound to the southern region either.

Since Leon was reluctant to take after the Southern Boss, Alfred would only make him if Leon could find someone appropriate for the role.

"Um, alright! I'll try my best," Leon said thoughtfully.

He was not interested in the role, but since Alfred was only asking for his help to search for an appropriate candidate, he could consider it.

"Alright, I'll leave it to you. I trust you! Now that that's done, let's discuss something more private," Alfred said with a smile.

"Private? About what?" Leon asked in confusion.

"Well, you asked me to look for herbs that contain light energy like the Fairy Fruit? I found one," Alfred explained.

Before he could continue, Leon interrupted him in excitement. "Really? Did you find a Fairy Fruit, Mister Glasbey?"

He asked for Alfred's help to search for Angel Fruits to produce Dragon Pills and other types of herbs that contain light energy.

However, since he did not have enough contribution points, he asked Alfred to help prioritize the Fairy Fruit.

It was only half a month and Alfred already found one, which surprised Leon.

"No, I didn't!" Alfred shook his head.

"No?" Leon was stunned and disappointed.

"Don't jump to conclusions and let me finish. I didn't find any Fairy Fruit, but I happened upon a Sunlit Herb," Alfred said with a smile.

Like other plants that contained light energy, the Fairy Fruit was extremely rare and could not be easily found.

Alfred sent his men to search for the Fairy Fruit but happened upon a Sunlit Herb instead.

He knew that Leon needed more than a Fairy Fruit, so he kept the Sunlit Herb for Leon.

"A Sunlit Herb? That's great!" Joy instantly replaced the disappointment within Leon.

The Fairy Fruit and other plants that contained the light energy were all useful, so the Sunlit Herb would work as well.

"Leon, you can have this Sunlit Herb for now. I'll have my men searching for a Fairy Fruit. Once I find one, I'll let you know immediately," Alfred said and took out a beautiful box from his drawer, before handing it to Leon.
