Joseph smirked smugly.

He went to plenty of bars and clubs and it was his first visit to the Blue Moon Bar, so he did not hear of Mister White; Nonetheless, he just showed his strength off in front of everything and was at the hype of excitement, so he would not have cared even if he heard of Mister White.

“I don’t care who started it. This bar has its rules! Since you didn’t mean it, I’ll give you a chance. Get down on your knees, apologize, and compensate double the losses, and I’ll let you go! If you refuse, I’ll break a limb on your body! Make your choice!” Mister White said coldly.

“Mister White, we’re willing to apologize and compensate…” Ricky sighed a breath of relief. He and his men fell to their knees and compensated for the losses.

“Now, it’s your turn!” Mister White turned to glare at Joseph.

Joseph stood up for Louisa, so he treated the group as Joseph’s accomplices.

“I can compensate for a part of the losses, but double the amount is unreasonable! As far as getting on my knees to apologize, that’s not going to happen!” Joseph said proudly.

“Good! Very well! Broken limb it is, then!” Mister White growled viciously.

“Why should we have to obey? Don’t just think you can do anything you want simply because you have the number. Others might be scared of you, but I’m not!” Joseph snorted. He could easily defeat up to ten people,

so he did not care even if he faced a dozen fighters.

“Joseph, that’s right! They’re being unreasonable! You’re such a skilled fighter! Just teach them a lesson! There’s no need to fear them!” Louisa called out as though she was excited by all the drama.

Excited at the compliment he received from Louisa, Joseph felt even more confident.

“Die!” Enraged, Mister White launched his fist at the speed of lightning.

“He’s in the Advanced Acquired State? Who knew talent like that would be found in a bar!” Leon mumbled to himself, shocked when he sensed the flow of true energy oozing from Mister White.

“Do it, Joseph! Beat that old man!” Louisa waved her fists in excitement as though she was the one fighting.

Confident, Joseph dodged the attack and launched a kick at Mister White’s neck.

“Know your place!” Mister White snorted, before sending Joseph flying with a reverse kick.

“Baam!”

Following the loud noise, Joseph slammed onto the bar behind them and blood instantly started gushing out of the wounds on his head.

“What…” Louisa gaped.

The other customers, including Joseph himself, were all shocked.

None of them expected the almighty Joseph to be defeated within one single move.

It was far beyond their comprehension.

“Sh*t! Here I thought that kid is that strong, so he just looked the part!”

“Yeah. He couldn’t even take one hit from Mister White. What gave him the courage to challenge Mister White to a fight?”

Disappointed by Joseph’s performance, the crowd erupted in a heated discussion.

“I thought he was a skilled fighter. How could he lose after just one move?” Louisa was stunned. She thought. that Joseph was a rare talent, only to realize that he bragged all along. “Damn it! He’s a liar. I almost fell for it!” She muttered angrily, her admiration toward Joseph vanishing with no trace. When she thought of how she was fooled, she felt so frustrated that she wished she could kick Joseph in the face.

“I told you not to be fooled, and you just wouldn’t listen! He is just trained in external power, so he is in no way a match for an expert in internal power! How could he be a martial artist?” Leon snorted.

After the brief fight earlier, he realized that Mister White was an actual martial artist, who was far more

powerful than he was. If he continued to resist, he would suffer far worse injuries.

“Go! Break his leg and toss him out of here!” Mister White commanded coldly.

Two of Mister White’s men grabbed an iron rod and stalked up to Joseph ruthlessly.

“No…” Terrified, Joseph let go of his pride and pleaded, “Mister White… I was wrong. I’m willing to apologize and compensate twice for the losses of this bar…”

“You should’ve done this right from the beginning instead of having to suffer this way!” Mister White snorted, before waving his hand to signal his men to leave.

Not daring to delay any longer, Joseph fell onto his knees.

“Ugh! Not only is he a liar, but he’s also a coward, too! How embarrassing!” Louisa glared at Joseph in

contempt.

Joseph was arrogant initially, yet cowered immediately in the face of someone more powerful. She hated nothing more than a coward.

“You four, too!” Mister White turned his attention to Leon, Louisa, and the other two.

“This has nothing to do with us. Annie, Lacey, let’s go!” Not intimidated, Louisa took her friends‘ hands and turned to leave. As for Leon, she did not care if he was beaten to death.

“You want to leave? It’s not that easy!” Mister White sneered and waved his hand again.

A dozen of fighters swarmed up and surrounded the group. Annie and Lacey had not been in such a situation

before and were terrified.

Leon’s expression darkened and shielded the other three. “Mister White, right? We are just victims and we weren’t the ones who caused trouble. Don’t you think it’s too much for you to blame this on us without looking into it?”

“So what if it’s too much? You can’t clap with just one hand. Victims or not, you are bound by the rules of this bar nonetheless!”

“Kneel, or have one of your limbs broken. Choose!” Mister White warned coldly.

Enraged, Leon retorted, “and if I refuse?”

“Lewd, you…” Louisa was shocked. She did not expect Leon to stand his ground in the face of someone like Mister White despite seeing how Joseph was defeated and was rather impressed.

“Good. Very well!” Mister White laughed, “brat, seeing how courageous you are, I’ll give you another chance! These beautiful ladies are still young, so it is a shame to break their limbs! How about this? Take one for the team. I’ll break two of your limbs and we’ll call it a day!”

“Sure! You are more than welcome to do it if you can!” Leon said calmly

“Lewd… are you messing around?” Stunned, Louisa could not believe what she heard.

Due to what happened in the bathroom the night before, she was extremely rude toward Leon. Not only did Leon not hold a grudge toward her, but he also took all the responsibility in such a dangerous situation. Despite her first impression of Leon, she was moved.

“I’m not messing around. Don’t worry. These scums can’t do anything to me!” Leon consoled her.

Chaos erupted at his words.

“That brat called Mister White a scum! Does he have a death wish or something?”

“Yeah. Even the other one who was bragging all along was defeated. What gives this one confidence?”

“Sigh. There are so many idiots around nowadays!”

The crowd studied Leon as though he was a fool that was going to inevitably suffer the same fate as Joseph.

Naturally, Joseph was different. He did not know how powerful Mister White was and humiliated himself in the end; on the other hand, Leon already bore witness to Mister White’s strength and was foolish enough to challenge him nonetheless.

“Brat, you sure are daring! If you wish to die that desperately, I will let you have it! Go! Break his legs and toss him out!” Mister White roared furiously.

The two fighters standing closest to Leon leaped into action immediately.

“Baam! Baam!”

Leon moved at incredible speed and kicked the two onto the ground.

Meanwhile, the other fighters swarmed up and instead of backing away, Leon darted into the crowd, launching punch after punch. Shortly after, dozens of fighters were all wailing on the ground.

All jaws dropped as no one expected Leon to be so strong despite his slim figure.

However, they still did not think that Leon would win against Mister White after witnessing what happened to Joseph.

If Joseph was defeated within one move, Leon would only suffer the same.

Mister White narrowed his eyes sharply. “It’s no wonder you dare act so smug, brat! So you’re skilled in external power! It’s a shame, though. No matter how trained you are in external power, you are no match for me!” He sneered before darting toward Leon with a hand gesture that resembled an eagle claw, directing it toward Leon’s chest.

“The Four Tigers are known as the bosses of this city for years. No one can afford to cross them!”

“This brat has gotten himself in trouble with the Descending Tiger. Even if he can fight, he won’t be able to survive this one!”

“Once the Descending Tiger gets here, he’s going to get killed!”

The crowd gasped and turned to look at Leon sympathetically.

Mister White studied Leon with a cold, smug smirk. From what he could sense, Leon just reached the Innate State and Master Shelton would be able to defeat Leon with ease given his level of Intermediate Innate State.

“The Intermediate Innate State?” Leon muttered, paling slightly.

Though he surpassed the Initial Innate State, he was still far from reaching the Intermediate Innate State and if faced with someone of that level, he had no chance of winning.

“Louisa, let’s go!” Leon grabbed Louisa’s hand hastily, desperate to leave before the Descending Tiger

arrived.

“You caused troubles in my territory and expect to just leave? It’s not that easy!” They heard a snort and a mighty man walked in, followed by a group of fighters dressed in black.

“It’s the Descending Tiger!”

The crowd gasped and opened a path, intimidated by his powerful presence.

“Master Shelton, thank god you are here! This kid’s causing trouble here. I’ve been too incompetent to defeat him. Please teach him a lesson and make an example out of him!” Overjoyed, Mister White threw himself toward Master Shelton.

“Who is it that dared to cause trouble here? How dare you?!” Furious, Master Shelton turned his attention to the direction where Mister White pointed and spotted Leon right away.

“It’s over! Master Shelton is furious. That kid is already dead!”

“Brat, what are you doing? Get down on your knees and beg for forgiveness. Maybe Master Shelton will spare you!”

Some of the customers watched the drama unfold with amusement, while others reminded Leon to

surrender.

“The situation has escalated this far, so how is kneeling going to help? It’s too late!” Joseph sneered mockingly.

He just fell victim to Mister White’s skills and if Mister White was this powerful, his superior could only be more formidable. Even if Leon was a skilled fighter, he could not possibly rival someone like Master Shelton so it was not difficult to imagine how this would end for Leon.

Joseph felt glad that he was quick enough to apologize earlier, or he would have suffered the same fate as

Leon.

“Mason? Is that you?” Leon gaped once he had a clear look on the man’s face. Never in his wildest dream

that the infamous Descending Tiger would turn out to be his new–found subordinate from the day before.

Mason was shocked at the realization that it was his half–master Leon who caused trouble in the Blue Moon Bar. He immediately fell to his knees and greeted Leon respectfully. “Mister Wolf, I didn’t know you’d come here. I should have welcomed you myself. I’m so sorry about this…”

He did not sense any flow of true energy from Leon earlier and determined that Leon was merely a fighter that wielded external power like Joseph.

Since Leon was not even a martial artist, as a man in the Advanced Acquired State, Mister White had nothing

to fear.

“Lewd, watch out!!!” Louisa paled and screamed, agreeing with the others that Leon would not survive

Mister White’s attack because it was not realistic to assume that he could.

Joseph, on the other hand, desperately wanted Leon to suffer the same fate as him so that he was not the only one who embarrassed himself.

“How dare you act all smug with these little tricks?!” Leon sneered and stood his ground, almost looking as though he was too scared to move.

Just as the others were certain of his defeat, Leon blocked Mister White’s attack with one hand, while clenching his fist on the other and striking Mister White in the chest.

“Pfft!!!” Mister White spat blood and flew off like a broken kite, slamming onto the stage behind him in full force.

“What…”

Everyone, including Louisa and Joseph, were shocked. No one expected the fight to end with Mister White’s

defeat instead of Leon’s.

They were all witnesses to Mister White’s power, who defeated Joseph with ease, which meant that he was way more formidable compared to Joseph; yet a powerful man at his level was defeated by Leon. This only went to prove how terrifying and monstrous Leon’s power was.

“Lewd, you… you were great! That was amazing!” Louisa wrapped her arms around Leon in excitement, leaping and jumping with joy. She always dreamt to be a heroine and was passionate about anything related

to martial arts.

Witnessing Leon’s overpowering strength filled her heart with shock and admiration.

‘What a man!” Joseph thought to himself. He realized that he misjudged Leon, because Leon was far more powerful than he was. He could not help but feel glad that he did not have the chance to fight Leon earlier during their conflict, or Leon would have been beaten without even having to move a finger.

“How… How’s this possible?!” Mister White wiped the blood on his lips away and struggled to stand up in

disbelief.

If Leon could defeat him with one single move, it would mean that Leon was in the Innate State.

He did not know that Leon was a martial artist and thought that he was merely skilled in external power; external power barely reached the surface of the vast knowledge of internal energy, so it was hard to believe that Leon could reach the Innate State through external power training.

“Nothing is impossible! Can we go now?” Leon said.

“Don’t let this go over your head just yet, brat! Let me tell you something. The boss of this Blue Moon Bar is

Master Shelton, known as the Descending Tiger of the Four Tigers. He has reached the Intermediate Innate

State! He will never let you off for causing trouble here!” Mister White said viciously.

The audience boiled with excitement at his words.

They all thought that Leon would be left with no choice but to get down on his knees and apologize once the Descending Tiger arrived; what they did not expect to see was the Descending Tiger, Master Shelton, kneel

instead.

‘Wh- What is going on? Has the Descending Tiger lost his mind?‘ Everyone thought as silence loomed over the crowd, shooting one another strange looks as they gaped.

“Master Shelton, what are you doing? This brat…” Mister White muttered in disbelief.

Mason interrupted him immediately. “How dare you?!” He got up and slapped Mister White in the face. “Do you know who this is? He’s Mister Wolf! How dare you call him a brat? Kneel and apologize! Beg for Mister Wolf’s forgiveness!”

Sensing how furious Mason was, Mister White shivered and kneeled. “Mis- Mister Wolf, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to offend you…”

The crowd was stunned as they thought to themselves, ‘Who’s this kid to intimidate the Descending Tiger to such an extent?! It’s just unbelievable!‘

Naturally, Louisa was shaken to the core as well. She thought that Leon was merely a secretary working for her cousin and she treated him like he was a servant, only to find out that he was a skilled martial artist that demanded respect from someone as famed as the Descending Tiger.

At the moment, she was on the brink of doubting her very own value in life.

Mason ignored the crowd and walked over to Leon respectfully. “Mr. Wolf, my men don’t know about you and they have offended you. Tell me what you want me to do with them and consider it done.”

“It’s fine. It’s just a misunderstanding. It’s nothing that severe. You may all rise,” Leon said calmly.

“Thank you, Mister Wolf…” Relieved, Mister White stood up nervously, his clothes already drenched in sweat; he remained confused, however, as to who Leon was to command such respect from Mason.

The others were wondering the same.

Just then, one of the fighters dressed in black rushed into the bar anxiously. “Master Shelton, bad news. Xander brought a group of people here and I don’t think they mean well…”

“What? The Flying Tiger, Xander is here?!” Mason’s expression darkened.

Xander was known as one of the Four Tigers and Mason had a grudge against him in the past.

It was precisely Xander who gathered a few martial artists and injured Mason six years ago and the conflict between the two only escalated since.

Xander must have malicious intentions for him to appear uninvited.

“Guys, grab your weapons and follow me out!” Mason commanded, before remembering Leon and turning to him with a pleading look. “Mister Wolf, Xander has been my nemesis for years and he already reached the Intermediate Innate State. I am on the same level as he is, but I’ve just gotten there yesterday so I might not be able to defeat him. If possible, I’d like to seek your help.” “Um… Sure!” Leon hesitated for a moment, before nodding-

He noticed that it was a personal grudge, and though he did not want to get involved, Mason was technically his subordinate so he could not stand idly by. All concerns aside, his level was approaching that of the Intermediate Innate State and with Mason’s help, they should be able to defeat Xander.

“That’s great!” Mason was overjoyed. He thought that Leon was a Supreme Master and with his help, Xander would not stand a chance.

“Wow, more drama! Annie, Lacey, let’s go and check it out!” Louisa said excitedly. She always appreciated chaos and refused to miss the drama. She grabbed Annie and Lacey’s hands and hurried out of the bar after Mason and Leon.

Sensing what was about to happen, some of the customers hastily paid their bills before leaving, while some of the braver ones headed outside, including Joseph.

Though he made a fool of himself earlier, Louisa was simply far too beautiful for him to give up. As long as he found a way to get her number, he would have tricks to change her mind.

Outside the hotel, a dozen cars blocked the entire entrance to the bar, with a black luxurious car stopping in the middle.

The car door opened and a man in a black suit walked out. The man seemed to be in his forties and had a cross–shaped scar on his cheek.

It was the Winged Tiger, Xander Long. By his sides were two of his most trusted men, and behind him were forty men standing viciously with weapons in their hands.

At the same time, Leon, Louisa, Mason, and his men swarmed out of the bar.

The two groups reached a standstill.

Joseph and the other customers stood at a safe distance to watch them.

“Xander Long, the Blue Moon Bar is my territory! How dare you bring all these people here?” Mason’s expression darkened at the gigantic group in front of him.

“Mason, let’s cut to the chase. I’ve only let you live so far out of respect for the Southern King. Now, you are no use to him any longer and it’s time we settle the score between us!” Xander snorted arrogantly with both his hands propped behind his back.

There were two kings in the World of Gangsters who ruled over the underground power of Springfield City.

The two kings held two halves of the city with the river that separated the city from the North–South direction as the division between their territories. The kings were known as the Southern King and the Northern King, both wielding equal powers of the likes of the Wick Group, and were only slightly less influential compared to the Four Major Families.

The Four Tigers and Felix “Leopard” Moneta acted as barons under the kings and the Four Tigers held the most power among others; the members consisted of the Descending Tiger, the Winged Tiger, the Great Maned Tiger, and the Laughing Tiger.

The Descending Tiger, Mason, and the Great Maned Tiger were loyal to the Southern King and would offer profits from their territories every year in exchange for protection.

Meanwhile, the Winged Tiger, Xander, and the Laughing Tiger were under the Northern King’s wing.

As Mason’s territories overlapped with some of Xander, there were conflicts between the two for years as they fought over territories.

Mason had eight areas under his control at first, but his power level stopped growing ever since he was injured by Xander six years ago, which Xander saw as an opportunity to slowly eat up half of Mason’s territories over the years. In the present, Mason was merely left with three major areas to his name.

Fortunately for him, he had the Southern King’s protection and Xander could only move slowly to take over his territories instead of killing him right away.

However, due to the shrinking of his territories, the profit Mason was capable of offering to the Southern King declined and as he failed to grow any stronger throughout the years, he was no longer as important to the Southern King. He was merely a man who worked for the Southern King and without any value to offer, he became a pawn that could be easily cast aside.

No longer concerned about the Southern King, Xander decided to kill Mason and resolve their grudges.

“You want to kill me? Xander, I might’ve died if you came a few days ago! But you’re too late!” Mason burst. out laughing, amused by the amazing way fate worked.

Xander waited years to kill him and chose the day when Mason had the help of the Supreme Master to act. With Leon to back him, Mason was not at all intimidated by Xander.

“Too late? I don’t think so! Why, are you saying that you still have tricks up your sleeves?” Xander narrowed his eyes, slightly taken aback by Mason’s confidence.

“That’s right! Mister Wolf here is the trick up my sleeve!” Mason pointed at Leon with a smug grin on his face, feeling glad that he submitted to Leon in time, or he would not have survived the day.

“You! You are… Leon Wolf!” Xander was shocked when he looked over.

He just received a request from the Sullivan Family to eliminate Leon Wolf along with all detailed information and photos of Leon, so Xander recognized him right away.

“You know me?” Leon pointed at himself in shock. He did not see Xander before and could not understand how Xander would know him.

Xander did not answer his question and simply burst out laughing. “Very well! I didn’t even have to go searching for you! Mason, you and your friend are doomed today!”

Leon felt even more confused about the situation, but the one thing he understood was that he was being targeted by the enemy in front of him as well.

“Xander, you’re all bark! Let me tell you something! Mister Wolf is a Supreme Master and he can smash you like he does an ant!” Mason sneered as he looked at Xander like he was a fool.

“A martial artist who has reached the realm of Supreme Master? Seriously?” Mister White’s jaw dropped. As a martial artist, he knew how powerful a Supreme Master could be and how rare they could be in Springfield City regardless of age. Even in the older generation, Supreme Masters only existed in some of the most powerful Families.

He finally understood why Mason acted so lowly in front of Leon. It was because Leon was a Supreme Master at such a young age.

Apart from Mister White, everyone else was confused. Being ordinary people with no in–depth knowledge of martial arts, they had no clue as to what a Supreme Master was. It sounded intimidating, but they would not know anything unless they saw it with their own eyes.

Louisa, on the other hand, beamed as she stared at Leon heatedly.

“Mason, did you just say that this brat is a Supreme Master?” Xander pointed at Leon with an odd look on his face, before bursting into laughter.

He obtained all details about Leon and knew that Leon was an orphaned good–for–nothing and that he was not even a martial artist. Considering Leon’s age, if he was truly a Supreme Master, he would be well–known as a rare talent amongst people his age, yet Xander never heard Leon’s name.

All evidence pointed to the fact that Leon could not possibly be a Supreme Master.

“What are you laughing at, Xander Long?!” Mason roared angrily. He was suspicious before, as Leon was far too young to be a Supreme Master. However, all doubts vanished when Leon managed to help him past the blockage in his power level with such ease.

If Leon was not a Supreme Master, he could not possibly possess such skills and Mason believed in Leon

with all his heart.

“I’m laughing because you’re an idiot! You just grabbed one random guy and called him a Supreme Master to scare me? Do you take me for a three–year–old?” Xander sneered.

“Believe whatever you want!” Mason dismissed him and whispered, “Mister Wolf, I’ll leave Xander to you! The two men by his side have reached the Initial Innate State and I will deal with them!”

“But…” Leon gaped. He thought that Mason would work with him to defeat Xander, not expecting Xander to have subordinates in the Initial Innate State.

Leon knew that he could not compete with Xander alone.

“Go! Destroy those two!” Xander snorted and the two men next to him instantly charged toward Mason and

Leon.

The other thugs cheered in excitement. It was still a civilized society so even gangsters could not risk using weapons, as any large–scale casualty could lead to trouble. Hence, most of the conflicts between gangs

would be often settled between martial artists.

The other fighters and thugs were merely there to cheer and clean up afterward.

“Very well!” Mason sneered and leaped over to stop the two men.

“He… He’s in the Intermediate Innate State? How’s this possible?” Sensing the true energy flow on Mason, Xander was shocked.

He never expected Mason to reach the level of Intermediate Innate State and was caught off–guard.

“Mason, you sure have hidden your true power well throughout the years. Seems like I’ll have to do my best today!” Xander’s expression darkened as the murderous urges in his eyes intensified.

Mason reached the same level as him and he had to eliminate Mason immediately, or he might risk Mason growing even stronger in the future.

“Mister Wolf, I’ll leave Xander to you!” Mason blurted out as he forced the two men to back away. As a martial artist in the Intermediate Innate State, he could deal with two men in their Initial Innate State with

ease. So long as Leon helped to defeat Xander, Mason was confident that he could turn the table entirely.

“But I…” Leon muttered. At this point, it was too late for him to run. Unfortunately, he was close to reaching the Intermediate Innate State and he simply needed to stall Xander with all his might, so that Mason would join forces with him once he defeated the two men. Once they succeeded in joining hands, they would still stand a chance of defeating Xander.

“Brat, you first!” Xander narrowed his eyes sharply, before launching a fist to target Leon so that he could join his men in focusing on Mason.

“How dare you treat Mister Wolf with such disrespect! You’ll pay for this!” A voice echoed in the air and a figure appeared before Leon out of thin air, before countering Xander’s fist.

“Baam!”

Following a deafening noise, Xander was sent flying. He backed away and paled, before spitting a mouthful

of blood.

“Mister Shear!” Leon was shocked to find Cynthia’s brother, Harvey standing before him.

“Mister Wolf, who would’ve thought that we would see one another so soon?” Harvey bowed respectfully at

Leon.

Leon healed his grandmother and saved his younger sister not long ago, so Harvey owed Leon two debts.

“Harvey Shear of the Shear Family!” Xander’s expression darkened when he had a clear look at the person

who hit him.

Though the Shear Family kept a low profile and its members rarely showed their faces, Harvey was said to be the most talented of his generation and was famed as one of the strongest martial artists in Springfield City.

As one of the major players on the board, it was no misery that Xander recognized him.

“Guess you aren’t that clueless after all,” Harvey snorted.

“Mister Shear, I have no personal grudge against you. What do you think you are doing?” Xander questioned sharply, confused as to why Harvey would protect them as an insignificant person.

According to the data Xander received from the Sullivan Family, Leon was an orphan with no skills and was known to be a good–for–nothing, while Harvey was the eldest son of the Shear Family. The two belonged to two different worlds and not only did Harvey stand up for Leon, but he also treated Leon with such respect that it was hard for anyone to believe what they were seeing.
