The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 301

“This is between us and the Shear Family has no part in this. It’s inappropriate for you to interfere!” Xan der’s expression darkened.

The Four Major Families steered clear of any conflicts in the gangster world. The Four Tigers were all k nown for their ruthlessness and Xander had the Northern King’s support; while he was wary of the She ar Family’s influence, he was not intimidated by Harvey.

“And if I insist on interfering? What can you do about it?” Harvey retorted proudly.

“Why you… Alright, then! Mason, and Leon, you two got lucky today. I’ll let you go out of respect for Mis ter Shear! Let’s go!” Xander knew that he could not cross the Shear Family and swallowed his pride, be fore ordering his two men to back away.

“You want to leave? Did I permit you to do so?” Harvey questioned sharply.

“What else do you want, Mister Shear?” Xander’s expression darkened but did not dare to let his anger show.

“You’ve offended Mister Wolf just now. Get down on your knees and apologize!” Harvey commanded.

“You… You’re way out of line here!” Xander was furious.

“So what if I am?” Harvey stared at them condescendingly, his overpowering presence looming over Xa nder and his men.

“The peak of the Innate State?” Xander gaped. He only crossed arms with Harvey briefly earlier and did not have the time to inspect Harvey’s true energy flow. It was not until this moment that he realized Harvey was at the peak of the Innate State.

Even if Xander with all his subordinates combined, they were no match for someone of Harvey’s streng th.

“I’ll give you one last chance, or you shall suffer!” Harvey snorted, his voice rumbling through the air.

Xander and the others submitted under his presence and fell onto their knees one after another.

“Mister Wolf, I’m sorry. We didn’t mean to offend you. Please have mercy and spare us…” Xander plea ded, feeling humiliated and helpless at the same time.

“Scram!” Leon said. He did not know about Sullivan’s deal with Xander and did not intend on punishing Xander. After all, he had a far more powerful person behind his back and as Leon was not a member of the gangster world, it would not be appropriate for him to get too involve d.

Relieved, Xander and the others stumbled to get up and leave.

“Big Brother, you were awesome! You’ve brought pride to the Shear’s name!” Cynthia walked out of the

“She’s so pretty!”

“So that’s one of the most beautiful women in Springfield City. Rumors don’t even do her beauty justice!”

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 302

“Also, who’s that Leon kid? He seems pretty close with the Shear siblings. Is he a member of the Shear Family as well?”

While the crowd admired Cynthia’s beauty, they grew more curious about Leon’s identity and realized t hat even if he was not a member of the Shear Family, he must be someone important.

Mason felt the same. He only agreed to be Leon’s subordinate merely because he appreciated the gre at favor that Leon did him. He never imagined that not only was Leon a Supreme Master, but he also h ad a connection with one of the Four Major Families.

Mason felt as though he happened upon a piece of treasure. With Leon at his back, it would be extrem ely easy for him to recover his territories from Xander.

Excited, Mason grinned from ear to ear, and on the extreme opposite of that, Joseph observed the situ ation with a dark look on his face.

He planned to find a chance in approaching Louisa but cowered as soon as he realized that Leon came from a powerful background. He thought back to how he narrowly escaped the conflict with Leon and was worried

that Leon would come after him, so he took the chance to run when he could.

“Mister Shear, Cynthia, why are you here?” Leon asked curiously.

“Oh, here’s the thing. Our grandfather would like to speak to you…. He told Cynthia to invite you to our house, but I was worried for Cynthia’s safety, so I tagged along,” Harvey explained.

Cynthia already made a call to Leon, but Benedict thought that it would be more appropriate for Cynthia to pick Leon up

person.

“I see,” Leon muttered.

“Leon, let’s go. Grandpa wants to talk to you about alchemical pills. Come with us.” Cynthia smiled gently at Leon. After being rescued by him, she grew to admire Le on since then.

“Sure. Just give me a second.”

Leon walked over to Louisa and said, “Louisa, I need to handle something so head back to campus on your own. Mason, send a few guys to protect them,” he added toward Mason.

“Oh. Of course!” Mason nodded respectfully.

Leon followed the Shear siblings to their car.

“What is up with this guy…” Louisa muttered as she watched the car disappear into the distance.

She was shaken to the core from the events earlier. She could not understand how her cousin’s secret ary

could be such a formidable martial artist while being so important to the Shear Family that they would send the Shear siblings to pick him up in person.

It was far beyond her comprehension and she began to doubt the existence of life itself.

“Mason, right? I heard you calling Lewd- Um, Leon a Supreme Master. Is that true?” She turned to look at

Mason.

“Of course!” Mason beat his chest proudly. Due to Harvey’s interference, Leon did not have the chance t

fight Xander, so Mason did not realize that Leon was not as strong as Xander.

“Good. That’s great!” Louisa chirped excitedly as her eyes lit up.

Meanwhile, in the Shear Mansion.

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 303

Leon followed the Shear siblings to the living and saw Benedict waiting.

At the time when Leon successfully produced the alchemical pills, Benefit immediately had an idea of working with him.

Since all the preparation was in place, he decided to invite Leon over for further discussion.

After greeting one another, they all took their seats.

“Leon, about our collaboration on the alchemical pills, I’ve purchased a pharmaceutical firm and I plan t o invest 130 million into it. Cynthia will represent the Shear Family in the collaboration with you. This

company will focus on selling all forms of medication and we will leave the production of high– end alchemical pills to you…” Benedict said.

The Shear Family ran the biggest supply chain for raw materials needed for medicine in all cities in the area but never launched their line of products.

Leon was skilled in medicine and knew all forms of medication, which would be proven useful in changing that and broadening the Shear Family’s influenc e.

Apart from that, alchemical pills focused on a limited market and with Leon working on his own, he would not be able to provide an infinite amount of supply. Hence, Benedict decided to produce and sell ordinary medication, while the alchemical pills Leon prod uced could be used for marketing to increase the company’s fame.

The better the alchemical pills worked, the more famous the company would become and in turn maxi mize the profit of the operation.

“That’s a great idea!” Leon’s eyes lit up as he was impressed by how sharp Benedict was.

Leon had memories of countless long– lost recipes for alchemical pills and paired with his skills in medicine, even ordinary medication could be more effective than others.

It was a leading advantage that, if utilized properly, would allow the company to prosper.

“As for the company share, you’ll have sixty percent of it and Cynthia will have forty percent. Is that okay with you?” Benedict asked with a smile.

“Sixty percent? That’s so much!” Leon gaped.

Benedict intended on investing 130 million and without doing anything, Leon gave given sixty percent o f the share, which was equivalent to owning close to 80 million. It was such an enormous amount of mo ney that he could hardly remain composed.

“It’s not that much. You’re bringing in a professional point of view and it’s only natural that you get the m ajority,” Benedict said.

With the possession of sixty percent of the company share, it would mean that Leon had the power to s teer the operation to whatever direction he saw fit.

Benedict was willing to offer him the power because the professional expertise Leon held was essential

Leon wanted to refuse, but Benedict interrupted him. “There are no buts! Leon, you should overlook the

“Elder Shear, I have a request, though. I’m currently working as the secretary for the president of Elegan.

own,

“Um…” Benedict and the Shear siblings were all taken by surprise when he heard Leon’s request.

Leon was officially the head of the pharmaceutical firm with his possession of sixty percent of the share and instead of gloating about the position, he preferred to work as a secretary.

It was a strange request, to say the least, and Leon was aware of it. He flushed and added, “Don’t worr y, though. I have some effective formulas that I can hand over to the company for mass production. As f ar as the alchemical pills the firm needs, I’ll give it my best and won’t cause any delay…‘

“Okay… Sure. If you have those formulas, that would be the best!” Benedict was overjoyed. Knowing h ow talented Leon was, he knew that the formulas Leon provided would be worthy of a fortune.

With the recipes, Leon could stand aside and allow the factory to proceed with production.

“Since you’re occupied, Cynthia will take over all tasks in regard to operation and management, then! Y ou just need to make sure that you show up when you’re needed,” Benedict agreed to Leon’s request with a

smile.

“Sure. No problem.” Leon nodded cheerfully.

“Also, the new company would need a name. Any suggestions?” Benedict asked.

Since Leon was the chairman of the company, his opinion was most valued.

“Um…” Leon thought about it, but could not come up with any appropriate name.

“Grandpa, why don’t we name it Cynthion Group?” Cynthia blurted out.

“Cynthion Group?” Both Harvey and Benedict shot her a strange look.

Cynthia blushed and said sheepishly, “Leon’s the chairman and I’m the president. Isn’t it a good idea to take letters from our names?”

“Yeah, it sounds nice,” Leon agreed, not reading too much into the lines.

“Sure. Cynthion Group, it is, then!” Benedict studied his granddaughter’s face intently.

Cynthia was always wilful and though the name sounded appropriate, including another person’s name

“Leon, the company will be up and running in a few days. I expect you to produce some effective and un

If the company could succeed shortly after the launch, the future would be guaranteed.

“Effective and unique alchemical pills, huh?” Leon hesitated. “I can make beauty pills, life– prolonging pills,

nurturing pills, styptic pills, and circulation pills…” He then proceeded to explain the effects of the pills he

mentioned.

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 305

Taking the beauty pills would slow aging; the life–prolonging pulls and nurturing pills would improve one’s immune system and prolong lifespan; the styptic pills would work wonders for external injuries while the circulation pills would be effective on internal injuries.

“Will these be enough?” Leon asked.

He had plenty more recipes in his mind, but as his power level was too low he could only produce som e of the simpler pills and was not capable of producing pills of a higher level just yet.

“These are pretty great, but not enough to capture the public’s eyes…” Benedict scowled.

He knew just how talented Leon was, and was certain that the pills he proposed would work a hundredf old better than other supplements with great demand in the market. However, the pills that Leon propos ed had a more prolonged effect and might not be beneficial to bring attention to the company’s name.

An idea happened to Leon. “I’ve come across quite a few martial artists recently and I can make some Energy Nurturing Pill. This works differently and might draw the attention of the martial artists…”

“What’s that?” The Shear siblings were confused.

“It can be used to nurture a martial artist’s true energy and speed up the process of leveling up their po wer… “Leon explained. Not only could he make the Energy Nurturing Pill, but he was capable of makin g the Spirit Nurturing Pills as well, which could also speed one’s training progress by nurturing one’s spi ritual energy; the prior would be proven useful to martial artists and the later would be more effective on sage art practitioner.

Since sage art practitioners went extinct, Leon felt that the Spirit Nurturing Pills would not be of use to anyone but himself.

“What?”

“It sounds like a miracle!”

Both Cynthia and Harvey were stunned, and even Benedict stood in excitement.

Martial artists could only raise their levels of power through hard work and because of that, many gave up before they succeeded. With the Energy Nurturing Pill to assist with that process, no one could predi ct just how welcomed the product would be amongst martial artists.

Since all the Shear members were martial artists, the Energy Nurturing Pill would be a treasure to them .

“That’s right. But the higher your level, the less effective the pill will be. If one reaches the peak of Supr eme Master, the pill would pretty much mean nothing at all,” Leon continued hesitantly.

He could only produce lower–rank Energy Nurturing Pill and once he leveled up, he would be able to improve the effectiveness of the pills so that it would be effective for mar

“Leon, what ingredients do you need and can it be produced in bulk?” Cynthia asked excitedly.

“It can,

but the Energy Nurturing Pill requires a lot of rare, expensive ingredients, including wild Panax or fleece flower roots that have grown for over a hundred years. The older they are, the bette pills that can help martial artists get past the bottleneck of their training!”

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 306

“Get past the bottleneck of their training? Mister Wolf, are you saying that I might be able to get past th e peak of the Innate State and ascend to the realm of a Supreme Master?” Harvey’s eyes lit up.

There were great gaps in between each level and not only would it take years of hard work to break pa st those gaps, one would require tremendous talent and luck to succeed.

Harvey stopped at the peak of the Innate State for over two years and it was his dream to reach the rea lm of a Supreme Master, as only those who succeeded would be referred to as the truly powerful.

“The pills are effective for anyone who hasn’t reached the peak of the realm of a Supreme Master!” Leo n

nodded.

“That’s great!” Harvey was excited, but then sank back into his chair when he remembered that it would require wild Panax or fleece flower roots that have grown for over five hundred years.

The best–kept ingredient in the Shear Family was a Panax that grew for three hundred and sixty years, and it was already used in treating Harvey’s grandmother. Wild Panax or fleece flower roots that have grown for over five hundred years were simply too rare for one to find.

Still, he was hopeful as he might come across those ingredients at some point in his life.

“Leon, we might not have wild Panax or fleece flower roots that have grown for over five hundred years, but I have plenty that grew for over a hundred years. Let me know exactly what you nee d and I’ll have someone prepare them,” Benedict said with a smile.

“Sure. I’ll write them down on a piece of paper and once you have the ingredients ready, I can start any time.”

Cynthia brought a pen and a piece of paper over for Leon to write on and Leon handed Benedict a list o f ingredients. Since there was plenty that required preparation, they agreed upon starting the productio n the day after.

Since it got late, Benedict invited Leon to stay for dinner and Leon got up to leave after dinner.

“Cynthia, see Leon out in my place,” Benedict said.

Cynthia hummed in response and led Leon out.

Along the way, Cynthia could no longer contain her curiosity and asked, “Leon, there’s something I wan t to ask you. Why do you insist on working as a president’s secretary in Elegante Group?”

“I explained earlier that Miss Young helped me out before. I don’t want to leave so soon because that would be ungrateful of me…“Leon was confused as to why Cynthia would care.

“I think that’s just your excuse! The president of the Elegante Group is Iris Long, one of the most beautif in all of Springfield City. You don’t want to leave because you are into her, right?” Cynthia stared at Leon

“Um…” Exposed, Leon felt awkward and did not know how to respond.

“Leon, do you like Iris?” Cynthia asked.

“Can we change the subject?” He chuckled sheepishly, wondering how this was any of Cynthia’s business for her to put on such a confronting tone.

“Alright, then. Who’s prettier, me or Iris?” Cynthia narrowed her eyes and asked with a beaming smile.

Iris was the most beautiful among the four most beautiful women in Springfield City and Cynthia was always slightly frustrated that she was ranked below

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 307

Leon gaped at the trap–like question and said, “You’re both beautiful, just in different ways.”

“Wow, you aren’t even trying. You don’t sound convincing at all!” Cynthia rolled her eyes at him, but see med content with his answer.

Just then, they arrived at the gate of the mansion and she waved one of the guards over. “Captain, Leo n didn’t drive here so please send him back!”

The guard agreed and drove Leon home.

In the mansion at the Dragonbay Villas, Leon arrived home.

Louisa returned home from school and just finished dinner with Iris.

“Leon, I asked you to stay with Louisa today, so why did you go elsewhere?” Iris pouted.

“Um… Something came up so I had to leave.” He smiled sheepishly and felt slightly confused. Judging from the look on Iris’s face, it seemed like Louisa did not mention what happened earlier.

He soon realized that Louisa only remained quiet about it to avoid getting lectured by Iris, because she was the one who insisted on going to a bar when it was not for women her age.

Leon was pleased with it as he would not have to explain anything to Iris.

“You’re home late. Have you eaten? I can get Aunt Sophie to cook something for you, deciding against blaming Leon over such small matters.

“Iris said caringly,

“I’ve eaten, so I’m just going to go shower and rest.” Leon felt touched by Iris’s caring words, and took t he time to shoot Louisa a look to warn her from walking into the shower while he was inside.

Louisa immediately realized what the look on his face meant and blushed, before glaring daggers at him

without a word.

After the shower, Leon returned to his room to rest when someone knocked on his door.

Louisa walked in with a sly look.

“Louisa, it’s late. Why are you here instead of in your room?” He was surprised.

“Lewd, there’s something that I want to ask you about.” She proceeded to take a seat by the bed.

She wore a pair of cartoon– patterned slippers and a pair of transparent stockings up to her knees. She swung her feet back and for

Even Leon, who prided himself on self–control, felt enticed.

“It can wait until tomorrow! It’s late and it’s inappropriate for the two of us to be alone in a room,” he said

“You are acting strange! There’s nothing between us, so why would it be inappropriate? Besides, I’m jus

turned eighteen and… are you saying that you think of me that way?”

She paled and crossed her arms over her chest timidly.

Leon came close to biting his tongue off from gritting his teeth. Knowing that Louisa was merely putting on an act, he said impatiently, “you are overthinking it

nothing of you and I just don’t want Iris to misunderstand.“

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 308

“You’re no one to my cousin, so why are you worried that she might misunderstand? As I expected, you are into my cousin!” Louisa stared at Leon intently.

“You… What are you talking about? I’m not into Iris.” Leon looked away guiltily.

“How stubborn! You have the power and the strength, yet you are willing to be Iris’s secretary and insist on staying here at her pla ce! Why else would you do that if you are not interested in her?” Louisa smirked

“Um…” Rendered speechless, Leon realized that he could never win an argument against Louisa.

“Lewd, just tell the truth. Do you like my cousin or not?” Louisa’s lips curled into a smug smile as she co ntinued to tease him.

“I…” Leon’s hurt began to hurt. He never imagined being asked the same question twice by Cynthia an hour ago, only to be confronted again by Louisa.

‘Are all women this nosy?‘ He thought to himself.

“I already know the answer, anyway! My cousin is the most beautiful woman in Springfield City, so any man would fall for her. If you are not into you, you are probably not a man!” Louisa said.

“It’s none of your business either way!” He said with frustration.

“Of course, it’s my business. I can help you get her!” Louisa deadpanned.

“I am not going t- Huh? What did you just say?” Leon was about to lecture Louisa, before gaping in disbelief.

“I said that I can help you get her! She’s my cousin and we’ve always been close. I can compliment you more often in front of her and give you chances to be with her. That way, it would be easier for you to make her yours, don’t you

think?” Louisa said as she sold her cousin off without hesitation

“Seriously? Are you messing with me?” Leon gaped and felt dazed by her words.

“I’m serious, but I have a condition!” Louisa smiled slyly.

“And what’s that?” Leon instantly realized that Louisa came up with a plan.

“You’re a Supreme Master, right? I want to learn martial arts from you!” She said excitedly. Her eyes lit up as she recalled the power Leon showe

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 309

Naturally, she knew her cousin well enough to know that if Iris was willing to let a man stay with her for such a long period, it was likely that Iris had feelings for Le on as well. Since the two were interested in one another, Louisa did not mind pulling the strings to matc hmake them and get the chance of learning the ways of martial arts in return.

“I’m not…” Leon was about to deny her assumption that he was a Supreme Master but soon realized th at Louisa would not help him with pursuing Iris if she learned the truth.

“Ahem. That’s right. I’m a martial artist in the realm of a Supreme Master!” He said proudly, drawn to Lo uisa’s proposal. With her help, he would be able to pursue Iris and dating Iris was his deepest desire at the

moment.

However, since he was not an actual martial artist, it would be difficult for him to teach Louisa the ways of martial arts.

“So, is that a yes?” She urged, concerned that Leon might decide otherwise.

“Louisa, according to what I understand, plenty of families here in Springfield City consist of lineages of martial artists. As one of the Four Major Families, the Young Family should have their ways of martial arts as well. As a member of that fa mily, why do you have to learn it through me?” Leon was confused. He ran into plenty of martial artists l ately and knew that most families kept martial artists in their household, and the Young Family should b e no exception.

Even the bodyguards that protected Iris in the dark were all skilled martial artists, and it baffled him as t o how Iris and Louisa could be completely untrained.

“The lineage of the Young Family is called the Flaming Sun Methods and it can only be learned by men . Besides, my last name is Greene, not Young. The Young would never allow their inheritance to leak to anyone that’s not a member of their family!” She pouted.

Louisa’s father was a government officer and since he did not come from a powerful family, they did not inherit any methods of martial arts; not only did she not qualify for learning the Youngs‘ methods, it was not suitable for her either since she was a woman.

Naturally, given the Greene Family and Young Family’s influence, she could easily learn the martial arts of lower ranks. However, those methods often required high concentration and hard work; the results were rarely rewarding as well, as most of the people who learned lower– ranking martial arts failed to reach the

Innate State.

For someone as proud as Louisa, she refused to settle for less.

“I see!” Leon said.

He understood the need for a family to keep its inheritance within themselves, just like how he would n ot teach anyone his way of sage art except for his wife and children. Even if he did wish to teach others , there would always be a limit to how much he disclosed. After all, one had to care for oneself first and foremost.

“Alright. You’ve asked your questions. Are you teaching me or not?” Louisa urged.

In her mind, Leon had to be as powerful as the ones who mastered the Flaming Sun Methods in the You

would run into an opportunity like this, and she refused to let it slip by.

“Alright. I agree with your proposal!” Leon nodded.

The ancestors of the Wolfs passed down more than just secret methods of sage art and medical recipes only

normal for one to assume that those secret methods must hold extraordinary knowledge.

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 310

He simply needed to select a method that was suitable for women and teach Louisa its way. His only c oncern was that as a sage artist, he might struggle to teach Louisa the ways of martial arts.

“Yay! Lewd, you are the best!” Excited, Louisa threw herself into his arms like a child who was just give n candies.

“You…” Leon gaped when he sensed the softness of her chest pressed against his arm.

Louisa was spontaneous and it could be draining to handle her at times, but during the rare moments when she acted like a sweet, innocent girl, they we re enough to melt the hearts of countless men.

‘She changes mood like changing clothes!‘ He thought.

“Alright, go ahead and teach me now!” She suppressed the excitement boiling within her and urged.

“Just wait. Let me think.” He closed his eyes and searched through the secret methods in his mind.

Just then, someone knocked on the door, startling both Leon and Louisa.

“Leon, it’s me. Are you asleep?” Iris’s voice came from across the door.

“Not yet. Iris, what do you need from me this late at night?” Shocked, Leon shushed Louisa right away.

“I went to Louisa’s room but she wasn’t there. Is she with you?” Iris asked.

“N- No!” Leon paled. He was concerned that Iris would see them alone in his room and misunderstand, and his concern just turned into reality.

“No? That’s impossible! I heard noises coming from your room. Where else can she be if not in your ro om?” Iris asked suspiciously.

When she headed down the stairs to look for Louisa, she heard noises coming from inside Leon’s room and came over. However, since all the rooms were soundproof, she could not put her finger on what sh e was hearing.

Since the door was not locked, Iris could walk in at any moment and Leon panicked. “Louisa, just… hide!”

“Why should I hide?” Louisa rolled her eyes at him.
