Ch. 1331..1340

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1331-Just then, Winter gave a differing opinion. "I trust Frank. He has never lied to me if he says he can beat Jaden Favoni, then he definitely can!"

Frank was comforted by her words-at least someone believed him.

"Exactly, but I'll say it again: I'm not going to lose. The only thing we have to worry about is the Bearsons coming to cause trouble, so you ladies have to watch out," Frank told them before picking up the challenge letter and his suit as he left the mansion.

Seeing that Frank was so confident, Helen and Vicky could not say anything else.

They wanted to follow him, but that was when Silverbell entered.

The chief of the Martial Alliance stretched out her hands, stopping them. "Frank asked me to protect you."

"Silverbell, do you think that Frank can defeat Jaden Favoni?"

"Yeah… I heard he's second in Skyrank."

They had gotten familiar with each other after spending time together over the last few days.

Seeing the worry in both women's eyes, Silverbell's gaze flickered as she smiled. "You two shouldn't underestimate Frank now. Forget Jaden Favoni-there really aren't that many who can defeat him, even across all of Draconia."

"Wonderful."

Both women breathed a sigh of relief after hearing Silvebell's assurance.

Even Winter, who was staying in her corner and reading a medical text, did the same while patting her relatively modest chest.

Frank had a chauffeur take him to Zamri Square.

It was at the center of the city, the liveliest point of Zamri.

Traffic congestion was normal, just like the endless scores of pedestrians.

Somehow, it was even more congested with the crowds coming from all corners of the east coast, intent on witnessing the fight. Every inch of the square which was usually spacious was now filled with people, and the vehicles outside were basically stuck. Only the center of the square, where the fighting ring was set up, was orderly.

The Favonis and Bearsons were all present to maintain order, but they already had a hard time preventing any chaos from ensuing.

Such was the grandness of the occasion, as the people coming from all corners of the east coast came to see Jaden Favoni in all his glory.

Naturally, there were those who wanted to see if some mysterious martial elite really managed to take down thirty Favoni martial artists in an instant as well, but they were mostly here for Jaden.

The Favoni family had even invited their partner business owners, so that Jaden could show the true extent of his strength and clear any doubts they may have.

Among them was Gavin Lane, Helen's uncle.

In fact, he had brought his whole family along.

Still, Roth Lane was frowning worriedly beside Gavin. "Dad, do you om think that Frank Lawrence can beat Jaden Favnoni? That man is second in Skyrank, and I'm really afraid for him now … "

"Heh. He wouldn't even last two hits." Luna Lane sneered darkly.

"Shut it!"

Mark Lane snapped at his granddaughter immediately. "He's family! How could you badmouth him like that ?! "

"Exactly. Would our family have seen such a meteoric rise in Zamri if not for Frank?"

Gavin was glowering at his own daughter too. "If I hear more o m nonsense from you again, I will show you!"

Luna snorted and pouted grumpily after her father and grandfather both snapped at her.

Beside her, her mother Jade Zahn quickly tried to calm things down.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1332-"It's alright," Jade reasoned. "Luna has cause to say it—Jaden is the second best martial artist across the east coast. Frank might not stand a chance no matter how good he is."

"We'll never know," Gavin countered, rearing his chin proudly. "Helen's husband has always performed miracles, and we should back him up as family. Even if he loses, we should do our best to protect him too."

"Indeed…"

Mark nodded and smiled, stroking his beard. "He already honors our family by stepping into that ring.

Aside from the Southstream Lanes, Walter Turnbull and his wife had arrived too.

Susan Redford looked around for her daughter but could not see any sign of her. "Walter, why isn't Vicky here yet?"

"What are you getting excited about? Even Frank isn't here."

Walter was calm, but there was a flicker of anxiety in his eyes.

Despite his unease, he assured his wife nonetheless, "Don't worry—I have orders from Glen. We don't have to do a thing if the duel goes fairly, but we Home Categories  Search…

  1332/1332  will step up if Jaden Fairfax insists on killing Frank. He'd never dare challenge us Turnbulls."

Susan snorted. "I just don't want my daughter's fiance to die before she gets married."

The worry in her eyes showed despite her sarcasm, and she was even more upset as she watched the crowd below jostling around to make bets.

"It's the fight of the century!" a bookie was shouting. "Taking odds right now, for Jaden Favoni to slay the mysterious martial elite who took down thirty Favoni martial artists in an instant!"

"What the hell?" Susan grumbled. "Forget selling tickets for seats in a public space—they're now taking bets?"

Walter sighed, "The Favonis aren't about to let slip a chance to hype up the fight. If I'm not mistaken, if they, win this duel, their reputation would rise to the next level, and they might even extend their influence into Zamri."

"Why, sir! You certainly have great insight!"

One of the bookies just happened to overhear Walter and could tell right away from his and Susan's tailored clothes that they would not miss the money.

Getting an idea right then, he asked charmingly, "Well, why don't you make a bet too? You'd make a fortune betting on the mysterious martial elite!"

Susan snorted and ignored the bookie.

about it and whipped out a check book from his chest pocket. Writing down two million dollars on it I. n nonchalantly, he passed it to the bookie and said, "I'm betting on the mysterious martial elite."

"What?"

It was not just the bookie—even the spectators sitting around them were shocked.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1333-It was frustrating, but Walter could understand.

Jaden's fame had lasted for quite a while, as he had been a young prodigy who had been fawned over since a child.

As the heir to the Favonis, his innate talent for martial arts had shone, and he was once picked as the chief of the Martial Alliance provisionally.

His fame alone was enough to intimidate anyone-who would ever dare stand against such a man?

If the Ehud Lionheart, the Demon of Volsung Sect, never came to prominence seemingly out of nowhere, Jaden would definitely be the youngest Ascendant rank in Draconia's history.

Anyone privy to such information and aware of Jaden's background would definitely not favor Frank.

Even those around him think it would be forcing it, since Jaden was on a completely different level.

After all, Frank had always kept a low profile and had not much fame to speak of.

And following days of the Favonis and the Bearsons hyping up Jaden while slandering Frank as a cheater, no one was supporting Frank at all.

That was why even the on-site bookies were not offering bets on Frank-it was as humiliating as it was reality.

Even among the three most popular bets, the odds of Frank going down in ten strikes was the lowest, while the odds of him going down in a hundred was the highest. Basically no one was betting that Frank would win.

After some thought, Walter cleared his throat. "Well, since no one is making that bet, I shall be the first. Five million on the mysterious martial elite to win!"

Hearing him, the other spectators and bigwigs turned toward him, staring blankly in shock before whispering among themselves.

"Does he suffer from some sort of brain damage?"

"Yeah… Five million going to waste, just like that."

"Hmph. At least our odds have improved with his bet. It's good for us."

"Yes, yes, exactly."

Susan heard them and threw a punch on her husband's chest in embarrassment. "What are you doing, Walter?! That's not how you waste money even if you have plenty of it!"

Walter pursed his lips and shook his head. "We're with Frank. Who would believe in him if not us? Eve would if he loses and I lose my five mil, gesture to show where I stand."

Susan sighed at his words. "Let's hope that brat understands your sincerity!"

"Hehe… Come on now. What if he wins?"

Walter put a hand around her shoulder. "Wouldn't we be making a killing if Frank wins?"

"Bullshit."

Susan snorted, but it was clear that even they did not expect Frank to win-the money was basically spent as a gesture of loyalty.

"Hmmm? Is that you, Walter Turnbull?"

A balding middle-aged man arrived just then, surrounded by bodyguards and exclaiming in surprise when he saw Walter. "Oh, Mr. Pearce!"

Walter turned and promptly got up to greet the man. "What brings you here?"

"Haha!" Gene laughed. "The whole world knows that someone threw down the gauntlet to my brother from another mother. I have to come show him support!"

Susan and Walter were left trading glances. "Your brother. Do you !!

content is on mean … "

'Hehe. It hasn't been that long since I've met Mr. Lawrence, and relatively speaking you'd both have seniority over me!" Gene joked.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1334-Gene's joke left Walter pursing his lips.

Staring at the streaks of white hair above Gene's sideburns, he threw up his hands. "Surely you're joking, Mr. Pearce? We've yet to repay your grace for establishing ourselves in Riverton."

"Oh, it's really nothing."

Gene smiled, waving him off as he sat down beside Walter. "So, how is Vicky doing? Has she recovered?"

"Yes, she has." Walter quickly nodded.

Gene nodded and sighed in admiration. "Well, Mr. Lawrence really excels in both martial arts and medicine—there's no malady he can't cure. The man even snatched my dying self away from the reaper's grasp."

The bookie nearby seized his opportunity right then, asking, "Sir, may I interest you in a bet? The most favorable odds are how many strikes that mysterious martial elite would last against Jaden Favoni."

The bookie was certainly sharply—knowing that those seated in the front row were all rich or powerful, it was the right choice to ask them to make bets.

They would make a fortune either way!

  1334/1334  However, one of Gene's bodyguards strode up, shoving the peddling bookie backward. "Stand back! Don't you see you're talking to Mr. Gene Pearce?!"

"W-What?!"

The bookie almost wet himself right then—that kindly balding middle-aged man was actually Gene Pearce, the richest man on the East Coast?!

The spectators around them were at once thrilled.

"Shit, even Gene Pearce himself is here to watch the fight!"

"I thought he said in a TV interview that he despised the physical disputes of martial artists and preferred reasoning things out?"

"You're dumb. Did you think he became the richest man on the East Coast by avoiding bloodshed?"

Still, everyone's words did not seem to affect Gene.

He was even beckoning at the bookie, asking interestingly, "What's this about the bets you mentioned?"

"O-Oh! Well, you see, Mr. Pearce…"

The bookie actually flinched in surprise-after all, this was Gene Pearce, the richest man on the East Coast, and a man some people could only dream of meeting!

Stammering a little, he said, "Well, you see, the Favonis are collaborating with our modest enterprise to set up these bets."

"The three most popular ones … | mean, four," the bookie corrected himself as he glanced at Walter .

nearby, "are for Jaden Favoni to win in ten strikes, fifty strikes, or a hundred strikes."

The bookie was so nervous he completely forgot about the fourth bet started by Walter with a whopping five million dollars, even though he just mentioned it.

"Hmm…?"

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1335-As everyone looked on in confusion, Gene snorted, whipped out his checkbook, and wrote a dazzling number.

"Hmph. In that case-I'm betting a hundred million on the mysterious martial elite to win."

Though Gene stated that number very calmly, the bookie dropped on his rear in shock.

But that was Gene Pearce for you-he really went all out from the first stroke.

In fact, the total bets at the moment totaled up to just 500 million, which means Gene bet made up a fifth of it!

Everyone around him gasped, but they soon came to their senses.

"Wait… Which bet did he make?"

"The fourth!"

"What? Has he gone senile?"

"Yeah, how could he believe that Jaden Favoni would lose?"

"You don't get it. The man doesn't care who wins-the money spent is just to flex."

"Flex? Really? Throwing away all that money would only convince everyone that he's stupid."

While everyone kept yapping around him, Gene remained nonchalant as he continued his jovial chat with Walter.

The vibes around them were certainly cheerful.

Backstage, a servant of the Favoni family reported to Titus, "Sir, Gene Pearce has arrived and just made a hundred million bet."

"Gene Pearce? Really?" Jaden appeared surprised and laughed coolly, "Now that's a big bet. So which bet did he take?"

"He, uh…" The servant was actually afraid to answer.

"What? Are you saying he didn't take the ten strikes bet?" Jaden was at once shocked and annoyed. "Hmph. It seems he really has no faith in us!" "Sir, actually…"

"What, are you saying he took the hundred strikes bet?"

Jaden was furious even before the servant could finish, exclaiming in disbelief, "What's Gene Pearce's problem?! This is an insult to us Favonis!"

"No, sir!" the servant quickly butted in, pursing his parched lips as he braced himself and said, "He didn't bet on you… He's betting on the other side!"

"What?!" Jaden's eyes went wide in sheer fury.

He could accept that Gene was not confident about him winning… but this was way worse!

He kicked the stool beside him, reducing it to dust and bellowed even as the servant was trembling, "He thinks I would lose to some mysterious man ?! He's way out of line!"

While Stella sat quietly in a corner, hanging her head, her sister Chelly was scowling just like Jaden Gene Pearce has always been our partner, outsourcing his bodyguards and martial artists from us. Is he making a statement here, that he's cutting us out?"

"Hmph!"

Jaden snorted and barked at the servant, "Go make an announcement-I'm taking a bet too, that I will take down that cheating loser in ten strikes! I will show Gene Pearce that us Favonis won't take insults lying down!"

"How much are you betting, Mr. Favoni?" the servant asked, shuddering.

"500 million!"

"500 million?!" The servant was dumbstruck. That was all the money they brought to establish a foothold in Zamri!

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1336-If they lost all that money and Jaden's father pressed the issue…

Jaden, however, could not care less. He was even sneering darkly, "Don't worry.

Just get it done! I will show the city of Zamri that the Favonis are the strongest martial arts clan on the East Coast!" The servant quickly left, afraid to disobey.

Still, seeing that her brother was getting impulsive, Stella quickly reasoned, "Please calm down for a moment, Jaden. Frank Lawrence really isn't someone to be trifled with! You need to really think about this!" Chelly glared at her in annoyance right then. "Whose side are you on, Stella?! Do you still consider yourself our family?!"

"But…" Stella murmured.

"No buts!"

Jaden stopped Stella coolly, clenching his knuckles as he bellowed, "Everyone on the East Coast believes that I, Jaden Favoni, will win, but my own sister thinks that Frank Lawrence will crush me?! People would be laughing if they knew! Just watch, Stella-I will destroy that prick in ten blows, so you don't get to say anything when we head home, and you suffer your fifty lashes!"

"Exactly!" Chelly chirped. "Jaden is invincible! No youth in Draconia-barring Ehud Lionheart-would beat him!"

"Hmph!"

Jaden snorted at Chelly's words. "No, even the Demon of Volsung Sect would eventually fall to me! And I will top Skyrank once more!"

"Yes! You will definitely succeed!"

While Chelly worshiped Jaden endlessly, Stella quietly left, knowing that Jaden would not listen to a word she said now.

After all, Jaden's ego went frenzy ever since Ehud Lionheart defeated him two years ago.

Since then, he obsessively trained every day in his quest to reclaim the top spot in Skyrank.

And now, the appearance of a mysterious challenger and what he perceived as Gene's insult left him even more obstinate.

All he cared about right now was to defeat Frank in ten moves.

Even so, and even though Stella had no idea how much Jaden had improved, the terror Frank made her felt was ingrained deeply in her bones.

He was a nightmare that none-not even Jaden-would triumph over, and that was Stella's conviction.

In fact, her brother's obstinance was exactly why he did not embody the same indomitable might Frank embodied. If anything, Stella felt that anything Jaden did would be futile in Frank's presence.

There was just no winning against Frank, and Stella could see who among the two men was superior.

That was why she did everything she could to stop this duel, but no one in her family cared to listen, even labeling her a traitor.

Shaking her head, she sighed

bitterly. "can only hope that Frank will hold back … or the Favonis with be reduced to puppets of Hundred Bane Sect."

The only thing she could do now was to pray.

Gong!

The ring of the noontime bell in Zamri Square was long and deafening.

"It's time to rumble!"

The emcee hired by the Bearsons stood in the ring with his mike, announcing to the bustling crowd below. Let's hear it for the man-Jaden Favoni of Norsedam, Skyrank's second and once the favorite to become chief of the Martial Alliance!"

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1337-The emcee breathed his vowels long and hard the way Michael Buffer would hype up his ring announcements. Jaden soon emerged from backstage, his form straight and towering, his expression cold and his glare sharp. He was the image of an heir to a clan of martial artists, his long hair the picture of the graceful martial artists of old.

Many a maiden were screaming in excitement as if seeing their idol, and some even fainted and were quickly carted off to waiting ambulances. "This gentleman of impeccable appearance is the second in Skyrank and the great heir to the illustrious Favoni family of martial artists!"

The emcee was absolutely generous with his praise, and Jaden certainly measured up.

He stood, his expression sharp and his posture elegant, and the spectators could actually feel the palpable sense of superiority he carried himself with.

And when the emcee was done introducing Jaden, he turned to the other side and paused awkwardly. "Um… it seems that Mr. Favoni's challenger has yet to show up. I wonder if he's afraid of Mr. Favoni's mighty presence or his terrific vengeance?"

"Either way, if he doesn't arrive in ten minutes, Mr. Favoni will win by default-and as agreed in the letter of challenge, Lanecorp shall apologize to the Favonis in public and leave the city of Zamri!"

The audience became even more excited at the announcement.

"Hey, don't you think the prick bailed?"

"Ya think? Wouldn't you be running too if you were in his place?"

"If he turns up, he won't be able to pull any dirty tricks with so many people watching. Mr. Bearson would definitely give him a spanking."

"Yeah. Running at least spares him that pain."

Hearing the voices of disapproval, Jaden's look of contempt became even more obvious.

Not only was that brat a cheater, but he was also a coward who would not show up to answer a challenge!

How boring!

At the same time, a youth sitting on a wheelchair at a corner was glowering viciously.

It was none other than Hugh Turnbull himself, who had received word about the duel as well since his immediate family was based in Norsedam.

He had sent his informants out to ask around, who found out that it was none other than Frank who provoked Jaden's wrath!

"Even the gods are on my side! Messing with Jaden Favoni?! Not even Gene Pearce can save you now!"

Hugh laughed savagely. "Why don't you take up Jaden Favoni's challenge and let him beat you into a pulp? That would make the twenty million I bet on your defeat worthwhile!"

On the other hand, Troy Bearson was fidgeting restlessly in his special guest seat.

"Shit! What a coward!" he growled, shifting his weight endlessly as heet as the hands on the giant of Zamri Square kept thinking.

It would be game over for him if Frank did not show up before the appointed time, because he had poisoned Jaden beforehand.

He timed it perfectly so that Jaden would be afflicted during the fight.

If Frank never showed up and Jaden went down because of the poison, everything Troy did was futile.

That was not all either he would have to explain himself to the Favoris and maintain his innocence!

Talk about losing more than what he bargained for… everything he did would be pointless!

That was why right now, Troy was the one person wishing the hardest that Frank would show up.

It would be really troublesome if he was not here to be here to be scapegoated.

"Hmph. He's finally here." The middle-aged man beside Troy chuckled coolly, seemingly star.net into the air above the spectator seats opposite.

Naturally, the man was none other than Kilian Lionheart himself.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1338-"Eh?"

Troy turned to find a figure vaulting over the shoulders of the spectators toward the ring.

"Hahaha! He really came!" he exclaimed in surprise and delighted-more delighted than seeing his own family, in fact.

Thud!

As Frank landed steadily in the ring, everyone turned toward the giant clock in Zamri Square.

Ten minutes as the emcee announced, no more, no less-Frank arrived just in time.

Jaden's eyes narrowed, as he could at least see Frank was skilled.

"What, finally made up your mind? And here I thought you bailed," Jaden said with a scoff.

Frank simply beamed, flashing his bright white teeth. "Heh. Just had to make a detour and wasted some time. Thankfully, I made it." "Hmph!"

Jaden snorted and said nothing else.

Meanwhile, Frank turned towards the emcee and asked quietly, "So, shall we get started?"

"Oh, uh…"

The emcee looked between Frank, Jaden, and the clearly relieved Troy below stage.

Seein Tory nod at him, he said, "Since you're both here, let's get ready to—"

"Wait!"

Frank stopped him, holding up a hand.

On the other end, Jaden had already assumed a fighting stance and lunged at Frank as soon as the emcee called for the duel to start. Frank's sudden interference left his insides churning, and he almost coughed blood right then.

"What now?!" Jaden growled through gritted teeth.

"Well, it's quite important."

Frank waved him off and pointed at a board raised in the middle of the crowd, listing the bets for the fight. "What is that?"

Jaden almost hit Frank for his digression, while the emcee explained patiently, "That's the odds for this fight. At the moment, the odds are lowest for Jaden defeating you in ten blows, so most bets are placed on that…"

"Fuck!"

Below stage, Troy was already cursing at Frank for dragging his feet, spitting in rage, "What is he doing?! Is he dragging this out on purpose?!"

"Dragging this out on purpose?"

Beside him, Kilian considered the possibility, and his heart almost stopped as a foreboding sensation gripped him. "Are you sure you didn't leave any loose ends when you did it, Troy?"

Troy did a double take but laughed

as he clapped his chest and whispered into Kilian's ear, "Don't worry , Mr . Lionheart only my most trusted servant-who has served the longest, I might add-knows about this.

The poison was itself expressly obtained from the black market through personal contacts of my former retainers thunder , Bolt , Galen, and Blaze. Even Ascendant ranks would be brought down by that poison, so unless Frank some how resurrected my four retainers, no one would be the wiser."

Though Kilian nodded in relief after Troy explained everything, he still felt a gnawing sense of foreboding-it was a sixth sense exclusive to Ascendant ranks.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1339-"Hey, that's too much!"

Frank was protesting at the emcee. "Why are all the bets predicting my defeat?

Can't I bet on myself beating Jaden Favoni in ten strikes?"

The emcee was taken aback, as was Jaden despite his impatience.

Still, Jaden soon snorted and stared Frank pointedly from head to toe. "Who do you think you are, brat?! You, defeating me in ten strikes?! I could let you have them for free, and you still wouldn't reach my sleeve!"

"Now, now. That might not prove to be the case." Frank wagged his finger, grinning in amusement.

Then, shouting below the stage, he said, "Anyway, I bet 500 million that I'm winning!"

The hall was sent into a frenzy, even as Frank's bet was shown on the electronic board as he announced it.

Nodding in approval, Frank exclaimed, "Now, that's fairness!"

On the other hand, Jaden had lost all patience watching as Frank kept wasting time and snapped icily, "Are you going to fight or not?!"

"Yeah! Start the fight!"

The spectators were getting upset too-they wanted the thrill of watching fist striking flesh, not Frank's stand-up comedy routine!

"Alright, alright, let's fight. But before that, we need to set the rules, that is…"

Frank kept yapping and glanced sideways at Jaden.

Seeing that the other man was glowering so hard he could bleed, Frank's jovial expression abruptly turned serious. "Well, let's get started." Jaden almost choked and coughed blood as Frank threw yet another curveball, and his rage toward him boiled over just then.

He wheeled on the emcee right then and barked, "Start the fight!"

"Yeah! Start the fucking fight already!" Troy shouted anxiously from below stage.

If Jaden went down even before the fight, his plan would go up in smoke!

"Alright! Ready… fight!" the emcee announced, and he abruptly felt a dark blur shooting past him as he watched.

Naturally, it was none other than Jaden, who had lost all patience.

Pow!

Even so, despite Jaden dishing out. the punch without waiting a Frank caught his fistare econd, palm.

his "Huh?!"

He looked up right then.

He was always confident in his speed, so how did the brat stop his lightningquick blow?!

Outside the ring, however, all the spectators saw were a blur, and they cheered as Jaden was suddenly in front of Frank.

The man's reputation was definitely deserved, as he was so quick that the average Joe could not keep up at all!

Meanwhile, Frank was smiling.

"That's è first strike, Mr. Pa Do you believe me when I say you'd fall by e third?"

His words left Jaden glowering.

Arrogant brat! Getting smug just because he caught his punch? Well, he asked for this!

Vaulting off the floor, Jaden poised his foot for a Hillsplitter!

This kick would strike Frank in the head and keep going.

Even the audience could see that if the blow struck true Frank's head e would burst apart like a watermelon.

"Yes! Yes! Kill him !!! Kill that bastard !!! " Hugh shouted excitedly, almost falling off his wheelchair.

"Watch out!"

Susan clasped a hand over her mouth, while Walter appeared clearly worried too.

Frank, however, simply chuckled. "Heh."

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1340-Frank could certainly block Jaden's kick directly and counter by breaking his leg right then, but he did not do it because he had his plans. Jaden was strong, and Frank could see he was halfway into Ascendant rank.

But that still meant he was no threat to Frank.

Moreover, Frank did not accept the challenge because of Jaden-his real targets were Troy and Kilian with him.

Pow!

As Frank shimmied to the side, Jaden's foot struck the floor, sending half the ring crumbling, making his sheer power all too evident.

"What?!"

Jaden, however, was taken aback.

Was Frank actually that good, easily dodging the signature techniques of his family?!

His scowl soon turned savage, as he was reminded of that fight two years ago when he thought the world of himself.

That was when Ehud Lionheart showed up, and the Demon of Volsung Sect kept dodging his blows like Frank was doing now, treating Jaden as if he amounted to nothing!

"Argh!!! Boulderbreaker!" Jaden bellowed even as he felt humiliated, unleashing a horrific blast of pure vigor from his palm.

The projection quickly manifested into the silhouette of a palm larger than Jaden himself, devouring everything in its way as it shot toward Frank.

While the average Joes were just entertained watching the action unfold, the martial artists were on their feet, gaping at the sight.

Such terrible and concentrated pure vigor was a rarity in the world over.

Even a body of steel would be reduced to dust if struck by that, let alone a human.

"Urgh…"

Frank, however, was merely sighing exasperatedly as the blast of pure vigor streaked toward him.

Seizing the right timing, he charged his palm with Five-Peat Archaeus and met Jaden's strike!

Boom!

The ensuing crack was deafening, and the ring crumbled instantly as the shockwave of pure vigor velvet unfurled into a violent gale, knocking the audience off their feet.

"Shit, that mysterious martial elite is actually that good?"

"Right? He's actually evenly matched against Jaden Favoni! Jaden Favoni!

Second in Skyrank!"

"Shit, that's three strikes. Jaden really might not win in ten now."

"We'll never know. Maybe that's all the other guy can take…"

Even as the audience pushed themselves off the floor with considerable difficulty, they started arguing again.

Still, suffocating silence ensued as no one talked when the dust from the crumbling ring settled.

One could even hear a pin drop.

After all, Jaden, whom everyone believed would defeat Frank in few strikes, was left on one front of Frank! Content belovee in As he coughed blood, shock and disbelief showed on his face, as well as the audiences'.

Just then, Jaden raised a trembling finger at Frank, his mouth hanging open as if to speak. "Blargh!"

However, a jet of dark blood shot out through his mouth and nostrils before he could speak!

"What?! Jaden Favoni lost?!"

"I-Impossible!"

Go! Find out the name of that mysterious martial elite! He's now second in Sky rank! Second, I'm telling you!"

"Skyrank's order shifts again!"

None of them expected Jaden to lose at all!

However, even as the spectators erupted into chaos and confusion Jaden looked up using every last bit of strength he had to bellow into the air, You cheater! You poisoned me.
