Ch. 1321..1330
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1321-It was a terrible storm that kept gaining momentum, but things were surprisingly quiet at Lanecorp despite them being the center of attention. According to information Thunder and Bolt had gathered, many factions were extending into Zamri, and the Favonis were no exception.
On the surface, they claimed the duel was just and to eliminate Frank-a disgrace to his fellow martial artists.
In reality, they simply saw the signs of a major reshuffling among the underbelly of Zamri.
As such, they wanted to get their hands on Zamri and get themselves a cut, so Stella's words fell on deaf ears.
Meanwhile, Frank had Winter Lawrence and her best friend Jean Zims move to Zamri, while Mona Fairfax left the East Coast under orders from Haply Hall.
It was just a day before the duel against Jaden, but Frank was leisurely lounging in the renovated mansion, instructing Winter and Jean on Draconian traditional medicine.
It was a profound subject, and even someone as smart as Winter had trouble grasping it despite her own medical knowledge.
She would mediate on the text Frank wrote for her noncommittally, exchanging impressions with Jean to facilitate their learning.
Frank watched them, his thoughts a thousand miles away.
Neither Helen nor Vicky were working.
They were outsourcing personnel for Lanecorp's health and safety department, with both girlbosses personally overseeing the excavation of that rundown project.
Progress was slow since they had no reference for what the spiritron vein actually looked like, but Frank was in no hurry.
He owned the land he could take his time as she searched, and it was really the Bearsons who were getting impatient.
As he pointed out an intersection between several meridians, Blackie entered and announced, "Bossel mean, Mr.
Lawrence-there's this woman who's coming to see you."
"Hmm…?" Winter was immediately staring at Frank warily.
After all, both Vicky and Helen had tasked her with watching Frank in their absence.
For his part, Frank had no words to defend himself.
Rubbing his nose, he chuckled awkwardly and asked Blackie, "Is she beautiful?"
"Nope." Blackie shook his head but thought about it and added doubtfully, "But…
maybe?"
"Frank."
Winter certainly heard that and looked up to level a glare of grief at Frank.
"Ahem."
Frank cleared his throat as he disguised his embarrassment. "It's not what you think. I just wanted to have an idea who it would be."
"You're slick." Winter pouted. "But how would you tell who it is only from how pretty she is?"
"Heh." Frank chuckled confidently.
"Most adies I know are beaut then it's someone so I would be more wary…"
He trailed off, as he saw Winter's look of exasperation and Jean hiding a smile and realized he had misspoken.
He threw his hands up. "Alright, you girls keep studying. I'll go see who it is. You're staying here until all the acupoints on the arm."
learn After pulling rank as their mentor and tapping Winter on her smooth m forehead he left the study .
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1322-Arriving at the drawing room, Frank saw a familiar face that he had just met recently.
"Oh, it's you?"
Stella was seated primly on the couch, scowling even as a servant brought her tea.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?"
Frank asked as he sat down comfortably on the couch, leveling an interested look at the woman who was somehow completely different than when he saw her days ago.
If she had been haughty and endlessly confident about being an heiress of the Favonis, she was now the image of someone beaten.
Her eyes were bloodshot even as she looked up, rasping, "F-Frank Lawrence, I've come to apologize."
"Apologize?"
Frank was left dumbstruck by her words, not expecting Stella to come all this way to apologize.
Still, he shook his head and laughed. "Well, you don't like you're really apologizing! The public really have a lot to say about me these days, about me being a disgrace to all martial artists and whatnot." "It's my family and my brother's excuse."
Stella apologized anxiously, apologizing and quickly leveling Frank a pleading look. "It was all Gerry's fault, and you've avenged yourself after killing him. But I came to apologize for no other reason than to ask that you spare my brother's life…"
"Spare your brother's life?"
Frank snorted and asked coolly, "Why should I? He's getting quite full of himself, bragging to everyone that he would make despicable me pay… And I wonder, even if I let him live, would you do the same to me?"
Frank's retort left Stella flinching, and she bit her own lips so hard that she could bleed.
"Just go." Frank waved her off, feeling a little exasperated. "Your family is bent on taking me down in the name of justice, and so be it. I don't care how others see me anyway, but they must be ready to pay since they are the ones who started down this path."
"N-No!"
Stella sprang to her feet and stopped Frank from leaving.
She struggled with herself and finally told him why she had to stop him.
The Favonis were divided into two factions.
Stella's brother and father were leading the independent faction, which had taken the difficult path of striving to make something for themselves in Draconia.
The other faction-consisting of Stella's uncles and the rest-opted to ally themselves to one of the major sects in the South Sea.
And one such offer came to them from none other than Hundred Bane Sect.
To entice that Favoni faction, Hundred Bane Sect provided them with many Blood Centipede Pills.
The pill enhanced a person's attributes and cultivation, and many Favoni martial artists took it.
But as it turned out, nothing really came for free the Favonis who dissected and studied the pillihm secret found miniscule blood centipede larvae residing in the pill.
Once the pill was consumed, the larva would latch on to the host's meridian nexus.
It would provide substantial pure vigor to the host for a while, helping them ascend but no one could tell what adverse effects it would bring.
As such, the Favonis were now in a dilemma.
If Frank defeated-or worse, killed Jaden the independent faction would fall and the entire famil.net would be reduced to vassals of Hundred Bane Sect.
When that happened…
The very thought gave Stella the creeps. She would rather die tham allow her body to become a breeding place for vermin!
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1323-Frank remained impassive despite Stella's tearful pleas, snorting. "So? What business of mine is your family's troubles?"
He was not about to change his mind… or he could not, to be precise.
The Favonis were determined to kill him, so he could not just play saint just because Stella was begging him through tears and let Jaden kill him.
Moreover, Stella really was not a looker and lacked charm-even if she did, Frank was not about to fall for it.
"You should save your breath for your father and brother," Frank said shortly.
His principles were always simple-he would keep out of anyone's way, as long as they kept out of his.
However, that only left Stella further pained.
She had already told her father and brother a hundred times over that Frank was above them and was not to be messed with, but they were too prideful to listen.
They even believed that Frank bewitched her.
Moreover, some twentyish youth massacred over thirty Favoni martial artists? If word of that got out, they would be laughed at!
And being a family whose main business is outsourcing security personnel, who would ever trust them again after they found out the truth? Let alone hire their martial artists or bodyguards?
They had to maintain their reputation or their family would be in trouble-even if it meant slandering Frank for being a despicable piece of shit.
Stella could see that much, which was why she was here to beg Frank to spare her brother.
Just then, Blackie returned and reported, "Boss-ahem, I mean, Mr. Lawrencetwo other women just arrived!"
"Hmm?" Frank raised a brow.
Before he could ask, Blackie was exclaiming excitedly, "Both of them are beautiful. One's voluptuous, while the other is a feisty maiden."
"Show them in…" Frank waved exasperatedly.
The exchange left Stella doing a double take.
So after all that fuss, Frank turned out to be all about the looks? Was he refusing her because she was not a looker?
"Tut, tut, tut…"
Even as Stella reached up to touch her own cheeks in reflex, someone clicked her tongue audibly before coming to view.
It was a woman in a red dress that ened her stunning figure a long legs, which i in and were covered in fishnets.
As she looked around, shaking her head, another girl who had just come of age but was wearing a school uniform appeared beside her.
She glowered and snapped at Stella as soon as she saw her. "Sis?!"
"Hmm."
Frank was frowning.
Even if the pair were easy on the eyes, he knew right then that then et were onis, given that they e had just called Stella Rubbing his temples, he sighed exasperatedly, "What's going on today? Are the Favonis holding a family conference in my mansion?"
On the other hand, Stella was clearly surprised by their presence. "Chelly? Aunt Tara? What are you doing here?"
'Hehe. Our family would be humiliated if we never came." Tara Sachs gloated and pointed at Stella's sleeve with her hand fan.
Stella looked down, and her face fell when she found the bug on her sleeve button!
"We heard everything you said!"
Chelly Favoni glowered, pointing at Frank and snapping, "What's your relationship with him ?! Why are you betraying our family ?! "
"I-I'm not!" Stella grimaced in pain at her own sister's accusation.
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1324-Stella sighed. "Everything I do is for the family's survival-"
"Survival?!"
Chelly laughed.
It was clear she was short-tempered too, as she suddenly lunged at Frank, bellowing, "Let's see if he can even size up to Jaden!"
Even as Chelly extended her hand as she jumped at Frank, Frank simply stood his ground, his eyes turning cool.
Despite all her hollering, she was just a vigor wielder-if she insisted on attacking Frank, the recoil would cripple her on the spot.
"Stop!" Stella snapped angrily as she strode between Chelly and Frank. "Stop listening to your aunt's poisonous words. You shouldn't be attacking Mr.
Lawrence!" "Mr. Lawrence?!"
Chelly could tell from the title alone how much respect her sister had for Frank, and her rage flared as she swung her palm at her own sister instead.
Pow!
Stella stumbled a couple steps backward as she took the blow for Frank.
"Oh, taking the blow for our enemy? Let's see how you'll explain that to your father, Stella." Tara gloated.
"Shut up!" Stella glared at her before turning to her sister with a look of disappointment. "Calm down, Chelly!" "You're telling me to calm down after you took my blow for our enemy?!" Chelly bellowed back.
"Hmph…"
Frank snorted in annoyance of the three women's squabbling. "Your arm would be broken if not for your sister."
Chelly pointed at Frank and snapped right then, "Shut up, cheater!"
"Cheater?"
Frank laughed despite himself. "Well, this thinion is still this cheater's e belongs to en.swnot turf, and not the Favonis', so take this someplace else!"
Turning toward Blackie, he barked, "Get them out of here!"
Blackie hurried toward them, gesturing at the door. "If you'd please, ladies."
"What?!" Chelly reared her chin fearlessly at Frank. "Getting upsetet because I called you a cheater? What, are we wrong?!"
belongs to "Chelly!"
Stella paled as Chelly was ready to stand her ground and keep snapping Frank getting Frank upset wash joke as he was not that much of a gentleman!
However, even as Stella tried to drag her sister away, Chelly refused ton leave, glaring definitely at Frank in the eyes.
She was bent on showing him the strength of the Favonis, unlike her weak sister.
But while she thought she was showing strength, she was just being tactless in Frank's eyes.
"Heh…"
Frank chuckled darkly, raising a hand, ready to straighten Chelly out.
Blackie was trembling even as he watched!
"Frank? Are you having a fight?"
Just then, Winter poked her head out of the study to look down the hallway.
Seeing her, Frank's killing intent vaporized instantly, since he did not want to hita woman while Winter Was watching.
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1325-Winter came over, tugging on Frank's sleeve and asking, "What happened here?"
"Nothing." Frank shook his head and deliberately made a face. "Didn't I tell you to study? What are you doing here?"
"I-I was worried," Winter murmured guiltily.
Frank patted her head, his grief fading at her docile murmur.
Then, turning back toward Stella and the others, he waved them off. "Alright, you can all go now. We will see the truth come tomorrow."
Chelly, however, still refused. "Hah! I'm not scared of you! My brother will kick your ass tomorrow-he is Skyrank's second and a top martial artist! A loser and a cheater like you can't even hope to touch his sleeve! You should be kneeling and begging me for mercy if you have any brains! I just might ask my brother to spare your life!"
And before Frank could speak, Tara was laughing as she threatened, "Exactly. If you get down on your knees and beg and have your lover surrender her Lanecorp shares, the Favonis just might let you live. You'd better watch yourself, or our forces would instantly wipe out everything-you, your lover, and even Lanecorp! There won't be anything left of any of you!"
"You're… out of line!"
Winter strode up just then, clenching her little knuckles as she snapped at the three Favonis, "Frank never did anything wrong! You're the ones who went to Lanecorp Tower and made a mess, and he had every reason to defend himself!
And now you're threatening to kill us?! You're all lawless thugs!"
"What…"
Winter's retort actually caught Chelly off guard, but she gritted her teeth and shouted back, "He was cheating! He used some dirty move to kill our men!"
"Frank has always been fair and just!" Winter snapped back. "If he's a bad man, he would be taking you three hostage right now, instead of letting you badmouth him!"
"…"
Chelly tried to argue again, but Winter was right-if Frank was a loser and a cheater like her father and brother insisted and bewitched Stella, why was he not taking them hostage?
Why would he stoop to arguing with some girl who was barely an adult?
And seeing that Chelly was stumped, Winter shook her head and sighed. "You started a fight and slandered Frank when you lost. Frank never argued and even played nice, but what did you do? You come to his doorstep and start another fight-who on earth behaves like you?"
Chelly actually felt her conscience gnawing at that, as Winter was so right that she could not argue.
Still, she snorted and snapped
stubbornly, "It doesn't matter. We have a grudge to settle, and mym . C brother Jaden will show him! He will Aswer for the lives of our thirty martial artists!"
With that, Chelly turned and basically fled the mansion.
Stella sighed and followed.
Tara remained, however, narrowing her eyes at Frank as she smiled.
Excuses, excuses … yall that om eux reasoning only works on naive little girls. In the end, there is only one rule whoever carries the bigger stick wins!"
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1326-Tara finished, "I hope you're ready to die."
With that, she turned to leave.
Frank did not stop her but instead remained where he was, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
"They're so despicable!" Winter huffed just then.
Frank smiled. "That is true, but the fact that they came gave me an idea."
"What idea?" Winter asked, turning toward him.
"The Favonis are not completely stiff as a rock. They just might prove useful."
Frank smiled, patting her head. "But that's none of your business. You should be properly studying the medicinal text I gave you and take over as Zamri Hospital's chief sooner."
"Yeah…" Winter nodded, giving him a wistful look before returning to the study.
Still, Frank could soon hear the girls giggling in the room and chuckled exasperatedly.
As for the Favonis, he already had a plan.
Meanwhile, at the Favonis' dojo in Norsedam, over twenty martial artists had a youth surrounded as they attacked him with staffs and machetes.
The youth was even blindfolded, but his chiseled jawline and long hair made his good looks obvious.
He could hear the faintest movement of the martial artists around him, picking out the trail of their movement.
He would then dance around them, instantly dodging the trajectory of their assault.
Anyone looking closely would also see the lead and sandbags tied to his leg.
Carrying such loads would leave the average martial artists wheezing and immobile before long.
And yet, the youth moved swiftly, staying well beyond the reach of the Favoni martial artists.
Naturally, the youth was none other than Jaden Favoni, second of Skyrank.
An hour later, one of the Favoni martial artists finally stopped as he became exhausted, and exclaimed in awe, "Your movement is getting even better.
You've really takent the teachings of the South Sea even Ascendant ranks can't reach you, let alone hurt you!"
The other Favoni martial artists stopped too, genuinely in the further.
e heir to the family Ssed as SWO They even believed that he might not necessarily lose against Ehud Lionheart, Volsung Sect's young genius.
"It's still far from enough," Jaden muttered to himself, pausing for a moment before barking, "Continue!"
"I'm sorry, sir, but we really can't."
'Yeah … We've been doing this for over an hour, but we couldn't even content is on reach you!
The twentyish Favoni martial artists present were all panting sweating buckets as they sat on the floor .
They were the very best of the muscle, and even the Kil.net of them had peaked.
Birthright rank.
That made them true elites anywhere else, but they could not even reach Jaden aftertrying for so long.
"That's it? How incompetent." Jaden scowled in displeasure.
"It's not us, sir, but you're just improving too quickly for us to catch up!"
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1327-"Exactly, Mr. Bearson. You're a genius-don't compare yourself to mooks like us!"
"In a few years, you'll surpass the Demon of Volsung Sect."
"Ya think?"
"And with Mr Bearson leading us, we will claim a place in Morhen and rise as the Fifth Family!"
Even as the Favoni martial artists joked around and flattered Jaden, he snorted, taking off his blindfold and kicking away the sandbags and lead weights on his feet. Still, he was not quite taken by the flattery.
Instead, he looked up towards the sky, determination flaring inside him.
It really seemed that Ehud Lionheart was the only one who could prove a match against him on the East Coast.
However, Volsung Sect had always kept Ehud sheltered no one ever heard from him, let alone saw him.
When they met two years ago, Jaden had been younger and was getting full of himself, as he could not find any worthy opponents.
As such, Ehud could well be a god amongst men when he showed up, crushing Jaden's ego after they exchanged ten blows.
But even though Ehud topped Skyrank like it was an afterthought back then, Jaden was a changed man now-he was no longer the same from two years ago.
And now, he yearned to have a rematch against Ehud.
"Jaden!"
Just then, a tearful Chelly ran up to Jaden and threw herself in Jaden's arms, sobbing, "Daddy scolded me!"
"What? Why?" Jaden always doted on his sister, and he frowned when he found her crying.
"You have to hear me out…"
Chelly immediately enthusiastically told Jaden everything, especially about how their sister Stella begged Frank to go easy on Jaden.
After that, their father still scolded Chelly anyway for putting herself in danger by tailing Stella.
Jaden was left staring at Chelly in disbelief before grabbing her shoulders.
"What did you say?!" he demanded coldly, grabbing Chelly's shoulder "Stella apologized to our enemy, begging him to hold back me?!"
Swainst "Yes!" Chelly exclaimed even as she winced in pain. "You're hurting me, Jaden…"
Jaden realized just then he had grabbed Chelly so hard that he actually left a bruise, even as Chelly continued, "Stella insisted you won't win against him and had to beg so that you won't get killed-"
"That bitch!"
Jaden was left incensed by his sister's words.
He had never considered any of his peers his equal, save for Ehud.
In fact, he could actually almost stay content losing to Ehud, since that man was the successor of Volsung Sect.
But Frank Lawrence?! Some brat who appeared out of nowhere?!
Jaden absolutely could not care less!
Even if Stella repeatedly insisted that Frank slaughtered over thirty o y of their family's martial elites in an instant, he simply presumed that they had fallen for some sort of trap After all, he came second in Skyrank-if anyone had such power, why did they wo challenge him before, or Ehud?
There was only one reason that Frank must have used some dirty move.
Stella was just not able to see it and believed that Frank killed those martial elites.
But tomorrow, Jaden would see through whatever cheap trick Prank was using in their duel!
And Stella would beg Frank for mercy for his sake?!
Hah! Why bother?!
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1328-Jaden almost imploded at the thought-he would be the laughing stock of all martial artists if they heard that his family went begging for his sake! "Where's Stella now?" Jaden leveled a cold look at Chelly.
Seeing that he was really furious, Chelly quickly said, "Dad had her restrained.
She will be whipped fifty times per family rules."
"Hah!" Jaden snorted. "That can wait after tomorrow!"
"What? Why?" Chelly was taken aback-she actually believed fifty lashes was enough for Stella's betrayal!
"I will let Stella watch as I crush that cheating loser under my foot, so she'll suffer her lashes willingly!"
With that, Jaden strode off to meet their father.
Chelly actually zoned out just then.
Having met Frank, she could see how composed Frank was compared to her brother-it was almost unusual. "Could Stella be actually right?" she murmured, but she shook her head as soon as the thought crossed her mind. No way! Her brother was second in Skyrank.
Barring the Martial Alliance and those who stayed in seclusion, was there another youth who could beat her brother? "Wait for me, Jaden…" Chelly called out, chasing after Jaden even as she banished the thought.
As always, Kilian Lionheart was seated on the couch in Troy Bearson's office, still as a statue.
Troy was pacing around endlessly before him, his expression clearly anxious.
"Mr. Lionheart, it's been days…" he muttered. "Don't you think Lanecorp has caught on? They've been keeping all our informants out of the loop too…"
"So what if they did?"
Kilian snorted coldly and nonchalantly. "Do you think the spiritron vein is so easily found? Even Volsung Sect had to ask the old fortune-tellers of Haply Hallfor their help pinpointing it. They'd never find it so soon."
Troy was slightly relieved by Kilian's assurance-Volsung Sect would come after him if someone else reached the spiritron vein before they did.
No one would do a thing to Kilian since he was a sect elder, while Troy himself would be scapegoated dying in one piece would actually be a dream at that point.
Rubbing his hands and smiling, Troy then asked, "By the way can bust ask .. what is the spiritron vein? Why does it sound so … mystical?"
Kilian glared at him coldly right then. "Don't ask questions you shouldn't be asking!"
Troy's heart actually stopped for a beat, and he almost dropped on his rear right then.
"Right, right, of course…" he nodded and bowed apologetically, though he was cursing Kilian inwardly.
He did not have to tell him if he did not want to-did he have to scare him like that?
Moreover, Kilian treated him like a dog, keeping him in the dark of vital information and was clearly denying n' him a cut!
Nonetheless, Kilian scowled and changed the subject, "By the way !!
how are the arrangements for tomorrow?"
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1329-"Hehe. Don't worry…"
Troy sneered savagely. "I won't make a mistake, for the sake of my son and nephew's revenge."
Pausing, he then sighed. "Shame that I lost Thunder, Bolt, Galen, and Blaze to Frank. He's more impressive than I thought."
"Indeed." Kilian nodded as well.
He was sure that Frank had completed Birthright rank at best, but he was now wary after Troy's men and his nephew were all killed.
It was clear that he had underestimated Frank, and in that case, he needed to make some plans.
It just happened that the Favonis were now after Frank, and he just had to throw some fuel to the fire.
He had since found out that Jaden Favoni's father had advanced well into Ascendant rank.
If he was to find out that Frank killed his son with a dirty trick such as poison, he would definitely be going all out for blood.
As the Favonis went after Frank and Lanecorp, all they had to do was wait and gather all the spoils after the dust settled.
Chuckling darkly, Troy said, "I've agreed with the Favonis to receive Jaden Favoni once he arrives. I will then poison him with wine, but the poison is only set to kick in at noon during his duel against Frank. It would look like Frank did it with that timing, and there's no way he can argue his way out of this one-not when the entire public watches Jaden suddenly die of mysterious circumstances!"
Kilian nodded in satisfaction-Troy was really good when it came to conspiracies.
Everything turned out just as Troy had expected.
Early next morning, Jaden and his procession including Chelly and Stella arrived at Zamri by plane.
Troy was waiting at the airport by then, and Kilian naturally did not show up.
"Welcome to Zamri," Troy greeted Jaden as soon as he saw him. "I've put together a banquet at my hotel. It wouldn't be a delay to send the challenge later after you've taken a break there." His smile was so obvious and fawning that Jaden snorted after glancing at him. "May I ask why the Bearsons are so sycophantic to us Favonis now?"
"Uh…"
Troy did a double take, but quickly put on an unhappy scowl. "Well, like I said, we have a common enemy. Even putting aside my son and nephew's grudges, there's something else even more worrying."
"Really?"
Seeing the skeptical look on Jaden's face, Troy sighed wryly. "Frank Lawrence has been ambitious, using e his influence to acquire Zomber Group previously owned by one Zamr's Three Bears-before unifying Zamri's underbelly under one banner.
"I can't say I've been close with Zomber Group myself, but it's my interest to keep the status quo. I'm worried my company will suffer the same fate as Zomber Group, so I'm completely supportive if you can properly punish that villain He quickly added when he saw the look of disdain on Jaden's face, 'm Naturally, if the Favoris are keen to establish a foothold in Zamri, you will have the support of us Bearsons.
Jaden finally smiled faintly at that.
It seemed that Troy really hated Frank and wanted him dead even if it meant involving a third party.
As such, Jaden really believed that Frank really was nothing to brag n about, not to mention that his father forhim with establishing a had tasked him foothold in Zamri's underbelly. Troy's favor was certainly a port in a storm.
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1330-Jaden nodded. "Very well. Now that I'm here, Frank Lawrence will be resting in pieces. I hope you won't forget your end of the bargain, Mr. Bearson."
"Absolutely." Troy nodded and gestured. "In that case, shall we get going?"
"Hehe. Of course it's only right that I accept your goodwill." Jaden smiled.
As everyone got in the car Troy prepared, they could not see the cold, vile smile on his face from within.
"How dare you get insolent with me, brat," he muttered. "You will get it soon enough!"
Soon, the luxury car took them to one of Bearson Group's grandest hotels, and Troy's grin broadened as he watched Jaden defenselessly drink a glass of fine wine that was spiked.
Stella, who had been quietly as she stayed beside Jaden, appeared suspicious as she felt the nagging feeling that something was out of place.
That feeling actually peaked when she watched Troy send his people to deliver a letter of challenge to Frank.
"Heh, finally."
Frank was lounging on the couch, sneering as he glanced at the letter on the coffee table.
"Frank…" Winter was visibly worried.
She was confident about Frank's abilities, but concern had a way of messing with the mind, and she was certainly worried that Frank would get hurt.
Even Vicky and Helen were not working today.
"I should send my people to capture every Favoni!" Vicky sneered, seated opposite Frank and crossing her legs. "I really doubt some measly family from Norsedam would mess with us Turnbulls!" "Calm down, Vicky," Helen reasoned.
"Calm down?"
Vicky appeared speechless. "Who was it who suggested just last night that we should just blow up Zamri Square? You're a lot less calm than I am UMS "I-I was just worried…" Helen muttered, sliding a peek at Frank.
"That's enough," Frank stood up, rolling his eyes at both women. are you I'm d to death? Don't y making this out I you have any confidence in your darling?"
"Nope." Both women shook their heads.
"What…" Frank almost passed out from sheer frustration.
"Look, Vicky looked into Jaden just yesterday, and it proved absolutely horrific."
Helen sighed awkwardly. "I don't know anything about martial arts, but Vicky said he's amazing, something about Skyrank's second … "
"Exactly! He's ranked second among the youths of the east coast!"
Vicky nodded in agreement. "Why don't we just let them take Helen as a hostage, while we bail?"
"Why me?" Helen snapped in annoyance.
"Because you're the board chairwoman of Lanecorp!" Vicky smiled gleefully. "To catch thieves C you must first take out their king!
They won't come up after us if they have you."
"You're the king of thieves here!" Helen retorted.
Frank only felt a migraine as the women suddenly started an argument over nothing.
