Ch. 1471..1480

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1471-Rob sneered icily even as he watched Frank walk confidently toward his fully-armed soldiers.

He had served in the military for years-even if he had met many martial artists whose abilities the average Joe could not hope to reach, he had never met anyone who did not fear guns and bullets until now.

That applied even to his commanding officer, General Jan Lionheart, which was why he quickly presumed that martial artists were no different from the average person.

They were just better in a fight at best, aside from the tricks they used to deceive the masses.

He simply was not aware that starting at Ascendant ranks, martial artists could cast protective pure vigor to repel physical attacks.

And guns and bullets were no threat to martial artists with abundant pure vigor-in fact, it was pointless against Ascendant ranks.

Even if Frank had yet to reach Ascendant rank now, he could cast a dense protective pure vigor around himself with Five-Peat Archaeus.

Forget guns and bullets-even explosives could not pierce it.

And seeing Frank confidently stride toward his men, Rob did not hesitate to raise his arm and bark, "Take aim!"

The Turnbulls all turned shocked as the soldiers all trained their rifles at Frank, and Glen was on his feet right then, snapping, "Rob! We are here to discuss what we are doing against the South Sea Crow, not to argue among ourselves!"

Rob completely ignored him, even laughing coolly. "Dad, forget the fact that he's conspiring against the South Sea Crow-the way he boasted earlier is repulsive. Well, we shall see how he's going to stop my men's bullets, and he can't blame anyone for dying for his lies!" "But…"

"Don't worry, Mr. Turnbull," Frank said quietly in turn. "I'm standing here, and that means I'm confident in proving that guns and bullets are pointless against real martial elites-and it serves as a reminder to your family too."

With that, he spread his arms in the face of the many barrels. "Shoot!"

"On my order!" Rob sneered savagely, seeing that Frank was so suicidal.

Frank narrowed his eyes right then when he saw that sneer, more or less sensing something unusual about the guy.

Still, even as the air in the room tensed and most of the Turnbulls were moving out of harm's way, a flustered Turnbull sentry ran inside, exclaiming, "Mr. Turnbull! Mr. Turnbull! It's terrible… They're fighting!"

"They're fighting?!"

Glen's eyes widened, and he slammed his hand on the table. "Has the South Sea Crow come?!"

Rob was at once at attention and smashed the wine glass he was holding.

"Shoulder arms!" he barked at his men right then, leaving Frank and leading his men out of the ballroom. "Don't waste your bullets. We're going to eliminate the South Sea Crow!"

"The boy is simply inspiring!"

"In the end, us Turnbulls have to count on him. He's just so cool!"

"As expected of the next head of the Turnbull family!"

The other Turnbulls were on their feet and applauding, shouting in approval of Rob's fearless response. "N-No! That's not it!"

That was when the Turnbull sentry wiped the sweat off his face and quickly explained, "It's not the South Sea Crow it's the martial elites and specialists that we've invited! Than are fighting, and Ballroom Three is now in chaos!"

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1472-"Many others are getting caught in the fight too!" The Turnbull sentry then finished.

"What?!"

All the Turnbulls present were frowning at the report, each of them annoyed.

If they had known those rogues were so unmanageable, they would not have called for them at all.

After all, Rob was here, with hundreds of soldiers all armed to the teeth.

With these trained military men, getting rid of the South Sea Crow was as good as done.

In contrast, the martial artists were not necessary, and each day they stayed added further problems for the Turnbulls-like they were doing now, fighting among themselves, with many Turnbull servants getting caught in it. What a waste of time and resources.

Rob spoke up then, saying, "Dad, those trash would only cause further disharmony in this house, while being totally useless. I'll chase them all away right now, so that the family's reputation won't be tarnished." With that, he rallied his men to head to Ballroom Three, when Frank stood up.

"Rob Turnbull," he said. "Those men are unruly, but they aren't useless. We just have to find out what's causing the confrontation and make the troublemakers leave, instead of chasing them away. Their skill would definitely prove useful in the future." "Useful, my ass!"

Rob snapped at Frank right then, giving up all pretenses of civility. "I am the next head of the Turnbull family! Who do you think you are, telling me what to do and obstructing me at every turn?! I said I can handle this myself, and I will!"

"As for you…" He glared at Frank pointedly from head to toe, growling coldly, "You're as insolent as you are self-important. Once I'm done with that trash, you're next!"

With that, he put on his beret and strode off with his men without looking back.

"Darling…"

Vicky appeared out of nowhere, tugging on Frank's hand, worried that he would get upset since he was here to help.

If anything, Rob was behaving like an ingrate.

"I'm fine," Frank said, nodding.

Glen came up to keep the peace too. "Please don't take offense, Frank. The boy never believed in martial arts since a child, and he's always been so stubborn. I'm sure he'll change his mind once he sees the true strength of martial artists."

Frank, however, disagreed-from where he was standing, Rob clearly never came back to eliminate the South Sea Crow.

And he knew that there were many powerful martial artists in the military, such as Hans Schnee, base commander of the East Coast, and Frank's own father, the Lord of the Southern Woods. On the other hand, Rob clearly had beef with Frank and those martial artists, which made Frank suspect his motives.

"Come on, let's go see," Frank said, squeezing Vicky's hand.

Glen beckoned for the Turnbull sentries to follow as well, and everyone rushed out of the central ballroom straight to ballroom three.

Earlier in Ballroom Three, where all the martial elites invited by the Turnbulls were gathered, it was a rowdy affair with every type of martial elite present-proud apprentices of various sect, elderly men with dark looks on their faces, fearsome burly brawlers, and even elegantly dressed ladies.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1473-The martial artists were mingling, playing drinking games, and recounting the old days, while others drunkenly headed to open spaces to spar. Many were cheering them on, and while it was a restless sight, there was no sign of quarrel, let alone destruction of property.

If anything, it was within the accepted limit.

However, just as they were busy playing around, the doors to the ballroom were kicked open, and a man in an ink-green military coat strode in.

The commotion left the hall silent, as everyone turned to look at the military man.

However, even before any of the martial artists could ask where he came from, he chuckled coolly and ruthlessly mocked everyone on the spot. "Heh. What a bunch of trash." Bang!

Kain Loom the Wild Blade slammed his hand on the table, springing to his feet.

He might have conceded to Frank days earlier, but that did not mean that just anyone was allowed to insult him!

Shoving away the people in his way, he strode up to the military man, cracking his neck audibly while brandishing his machete.

"Why don't you take a look at this before you repeat that?" He sneered viciously.

In fact, everyone else in the ballroom was glaring coolly at the military man, but he simply smiled and continued without a care. "You want me to repeat that? Alright, have it your way." The man placed a cigarette between his lips, and his man quickly brought out a lighter and lit it up.

He took a light puff at Kain's face and sneered. "I said you're all trash."

"Shit, you asked for it!"

Kain certainly could not abide with such an insult, and he raised his machete, swinging it down on the military man's head.

He was so quick that most of the other martial artists did not even see him move.

"Hmph. He's really asking for it, insulting Kain Loom in his face. He almost seems important, but regrettably for him, Kain wouldn't care!"

"Tut, tut. What a shame that such a handsome man like him is going to die."

"Hah! So be it. He's paying the price for his insult."

Just as all the martial artists were convinced the military man was going to die, he snorted and moved, catching Kain's horrific machete at lightning speed.

"Huh?!"

Kain's eyes widened in disbelief as he saw his machete being caught.

However, he did not give up with a thunderous bellow, his temple veins bulging as he tried to cut the man's hand in two. However, he could not.

Forget cutting through the man's palm-Kain was using all his strength, but even the shockwal.net ensuing from his pure vigor did not budge his machete.

And even as Kain put his entire back into it, the military man did not even appear to be exerting himself, even sneering as Kain's face flushed. "Like I said, you're all trash."

Clang!

The military man snapped Kain's machete in two right then, and while Kain was too stunned to react, he leapt to the air and launched a kick at him.

And the single kick sent Kain screaming as he flew, crashing through several tables as fell unconscious, blood spilling out from his mouth. "What?!"

It was a sight that left all the other martial artists astonished.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1474-"What?!"

It was a sight that left all the other martial artists astonished.

After all, Kain Loom the Wild Blade was the best among them, reaching the middle of Ascendant rank and almost peerless. However, he was still no different from a chick to the military man, and the sheer difference left everyone agape.

"From now on, you are all under my command… Naturally, those who have something to say about it can come forward."

The military man smirked at the martial artists as he breathed out a smoke ring.

Obviously, the martial artists present were not spineless, with an elderly man already glowering as he strode out.

"We're under your command? Who do you think you are?" he demanded.

"Exactly!" A youth who clearly belonged to a sect joined in. "You're strong, but don't you think you're overreaching, telling everyone to serve you?!"

The military man simply smiled at them before whipping out a handgun and shooting the old man between the eyes.

The bullet whistled through the air, catching the man off guard and punching a hole between his brows.

He wobbled before dropping to the floor, dead.

"Uncle!"

The youth who snapped earlier did a double take before lunging at the military man.

The other martial artists could certainly see that the military man was powerful, but they all charged at him with a battlecry after they saw what had happened.

With that, all of Ballroom Three descended into chaos, with one of the Turnbull sentries fleeing without looking back to report it to Glen.

By the time Frank, Vicky, and the others arrived, the entire ballroom was already bathed in blood.

Rob was also kneeling on one knee before the military man, zeal written all over his face as if the military man was his everything.

The military man threw away his blood-soaked white gloves and slowly turned to find Glen utterly flabbergasted.

Glen's pupils dilated even as he recognized the military man. "General Lionheart…?"

"Oh, hello, Mr. Turnbull."

Jan Lionheart smiled. "I've been invited to help the Turnbulls fight against the South Sea Crow, but the mooks ruined my mood as soon as I stepped inside, so I quickly dealt with them. You won't blame me, right?"

Glen certainly could not say anything against him despite his pompous attitude.

All the martial artists present were invited by the Turnbulls' main family and branch families, and it was already clear from a single look that the casualties here were terrible.

Would their respective sects and organizations let it slide if they find out? And the blame would be on the Turnbulls!

But what infuriated Glen even more was his own son Rob-not only was he kneeling to Jan, but his men were scouring the ballroom, shooting dead every martial artist Jan did not kill on the spot. Eventually, almost no martial artists survived the slaughter, save for Proud Sword Sect and Kain Loom, sitting in a corner and clutching his chest.

Glen almost blacked out, as he realized right then that Rob was now Jan's lapdog.

And Jan had come to wipe out all the martial artists invited, in his son's name.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1475-Just from that fact, it was unnecessary to guess why the South Sea Crow returned. "Oh, by the way…"

Jan did not afford Glen time to think, however, flashing a gentle smile as he said, "Mr. Turnbull, I heard you've been exhausted in integrating the Turnbull branch families back to the main family, and your health has been affected.

"Rob had been telling me that for a while, so I was thinking-why don't you take this opportunity to step down? Let Rob here take over as head of the Turnbull family while you enjoy the easy life of retirement."

"How dare you!"

Vicky snapped right then, having had enough just as Jan finished, clenching her knuckles. "This is our family matter, and not up to the Lionhearts to meddle! You leave Turnbull Estate right now!"

"Shut up!"

Rob sprang to his feet right then, glaring at Vicky as he bellowed, "Jan is a brother to me! And as the next head of the Turnbull family, he naturally has the right to speak! You, on the other hand, are a woman who behaves so insolently-how dare you snap at my brother!" Gesturing at his men, he barked, "Go! Give her twenty slaps for her impudence!"

"Yes, sir!" the soldiers replied.

Seeing that the soldiers were ready to hurt Vicky, Glen strode up, glaring at Rob even as he shook with rage. "Vicky is your cousin! Are you hurting your own family for a Lionheart?!" "Hmph."

Rob snorted arrogantly, not worried about his father at all as he looked up and sneered. "Cousin? If not her and that manwhore with her would our family have fallen to this state? If my brother Jan didn't help me would I have been able to keep my position in the military?!"

No longer hiding his contempt, Rob started bellowing at Glen in the face. "He's like my parent, while that bitch repeatedly drives a rift between our family and the Lionhearts' close alliance for that manwhore!

Slandering and shifting.net ve blame just to drive a wedge between us! A witch like her? It's no loss even if she's put to death!"

"Y-You wretch!"

Glen never thought that his son had fallen so far that he would become a traitor for the Lionhearts, and he raised a shaking finger even as he pointed at Rob and demanded, "And what if your brother Jan demanded that you kill me right now?! Are you going to do that too?!"

"If you keep behaving so stubbornly, I don't mind punishing my own family in the name of justice!"

"Well said, well said… Blargh!"

Glen was left seething and suddenly coughed out a mouthful of blood, and his breath weakened right then.

He was clearly given a heart attack by his own son, and Vicky hurried up to catch him while leveling Rob a furious glare. "Are you crazy, Rob Turnbull?! Are you so bent on betraying us for the Lionhearts?!"

There was no hint of remorse on Rob's face, however, as he spoke quietly. "Like my brother Jan said, you and your manwhore are the cause of all our family problems! That's why I've come back to rid โวเ both of you and bring the family back on the right track so that we're friends with the Lionhearts forever! My dad will eventually understand that!"

There was really no saving that man.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1476-Frank stood at a corner, his eyes growing cold as he stared at Rob's conceited expression.

"Frank Lawrence, was it?"

Jan Lionheart strode over, folding his arms before his chest as he sneered at Frank. "I heard you've been messing with my family a lot of late."

"So?" Frank replied as he strode up, shielding Vicky and the others behind him.

"Don't get so nervous. I'm not interested in you… for now."

Jan grinned as he flicked his ink-green military coat. "But you should strut while the Lord of the Southern Woods is still alive… You will pay your debts when he's gone."

Frank's expression stiffened, and he quickly demanded, "Debts? What debts?"

"Heh-I'm not obliged to tell you," Jan shrugged. "If you know what's good for you now, you will take your girl with you and get out of the Turnbull Estate right now. That way, you'd at least live a little longer."

He was not hiding his threat at all, while Frank flashed his teeth in a grin after a brief silence. "Jan Lionheart, was it? Do you really have what it takes to make me leave? The way I see it, you're the one who should be leaving!"

"You bastard! How dare a manwhore like you speak in that manner to General Lionheart! Do you want to die?!"

Even as Rob bellowed once Frank was finished, the dozens of soldiers armed to the teeth trained their guns on Frank as well.

"Frank… Don't fight him…"

Glen rasped feebly as he regained consciousness, "Among the younger Lionhearts, Jan is only next to the Demon of Volsung Sect. He advanced well into Transcendent rank at a young age-you can't beat him! And he has considerable influence in the military on top of that… he can make life very difficult for you once you mess with him!"

Frank remained undaunted despite Glen telling him everything about Glen, and he started straight towards the line of fire of those dozens of guns.

"Advanced well into Transcendent rank? I can't beat him?"

Frank spoke quietly. "I am a son-in-law of the Trunbull family. I won't stand by and watch when the family is in trouble!"

Even as he spoke, Til Tomek flinched as he hid in a corner, hanging his head guilty.

He had yielded to Jan earlier just to stay alive.

Naturally, he already saw through who Jan was, which was why he had no qualms about surrendering.

"Vicky, take your uncle and the others, and go!"

Frank said just then, before turning toward Til, you still have a spine and remember the debt that Proud Sword Sect owes the Turnbulls, then escort Vicky and the others out of here. Don't make me regard you with contempt!"

Til flushed at Frank's words.

After a while-and as his fellow apprentice Kiki looked on-he walked up to Vicky's side, sword in hand, and escorted Vicky and the other Turnbulls away.

As the others cleared out, Frank breathed a sigh of relief as Jan did not try to pursue Vicky and the others.

Whether he was just too proud or convinced that Frank was no threat to him, he allowed Til and the others to leave.

Rob then began, "Brother, just leave that manwhore to me—"

Jan held up a hand, stopping him.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1477-Jan smiled faintly, "He's arrogant, but he's strong. Right now, your objective is to save your strength and subjugate every Turnbull at the central ballroom, and rise as the new head of the Turnbull family. No loose ends." "Yes, sir." Rob Turnbull nodded, saluting Jan in turn before leading his men away.

Before he did, he leveled a cold, murderous look at Frank as if his fate was sealed.

Soon, the doors of ballroom three closed with a loud bang, leaving just Frank and Jan.

And seeing that there was no one else around, Frank looked up and asked, "So, the challenge issued by the South Sea Crow-that was you?"

"Indeed." Jan nodded and grinned. "You need an appropriate excuse if you want to claim control over a big cake like the Turnbulls, don't you agree?"

"Where is she?" Frank demanded, narrowing his eyes.

Glen had told him the challenge was the South Sea Crow's own writing, meaning that it was definitely Ciaran Zobel.

And Jan had her.

"I've dealt with her."

Jan said calmly just then, "Since she no longer holds any worth to us, us Lionhearts have no reason to keep her."

Frank's fury went ablaze right then-so that was why he never heard anything from his fellow apprentice for so long, and why she never rendezvoused with him at Riverton.

The Lionhearts had captured her, once again proving how powerful they were.

"Heh. Did you think us Lionhearts could abide by the existence of any traitors?"

Jan shrugged just then. "We've found out a lot about you after working on her… Donn Lawrence."

"You asked for this!"

Frank's heart skipped a beat when he heard that name, and he no longer held back, his Five-Peat Archaeus erupting resoundingly right then.

His pure vigor unfurled, taking the shape of a warrior wearing silver scale armor, carrying a sharp sword as he lunged toward Jan.

Jan was not surprised that Frank was attacking and smiled as he leapt two paces backward.

At the same time, a black shield materialized in front of him, repelling Frank's sword as he swung his arm.

"Although I can't kill you as per the agreement, no one said we can't dismember your limbs and cripple you!"

At Jan's growl, the black shield that repelled Frank's blow assumed the form of a black lion, over a hundred meters in length and breaking through the roof of ballroom three.

"Dark Lion of Decimation!" Jan roared, and the black lion did the same, breathing black pure vigor that incinerated all of Ballroom Three. "My god… What is that?!"

Even in the distance, Kiki could see the black lion that appeared behind them and turned pale in fear.

"Save your breath. Let's get out of here!"

Til was pale as he certainly saw the black lion too.

It certainly went without saying that it was Jan's martial technique.

nee And to condense pure vigor into form of such a fearsome fist required both mass reserves of pure vigo in the body and a frightening level of control over it.

Til certainly could admit that he would not be able to survive that blow.

If he were Frank and he was up against the black pure vigor that swirled over the skies, he would just be reduced to cinders in justa couple of seconds.

"Death Eater!" Frank bellowed.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1478-With a resounding bellow, Frank's pure vigor projected away from him, condensed and solid, red and black.

It assumed the form of a gigantic arm in the air, seizing the black lion by the neck.

"Die!" Frank growled, and pulverized the black lion with a slap, with the ensuing shockwave of pure vigor destroying the entire ballroom too. "Hehe… So you are at least worth something!"

Jan was laughing amid the buffeting winds.

He threw away his ink-green coat and whipped out a machete gleaming red, then vaulted over the debris as he leapt toward Frank. "That blade…"

Frank could tell immediately that the machete Jan whipped out was not your ordinary blade.

At once wary, he projected a spiraling burst of pure vigor around his hand and punched it.

Clang!

There was a ring clash of metals as the blood machete withstood Frank's punch.

Frank's physicality was now at Ascendant rank, and that meant that the machete was not forged from ordinary metals.

"Hahaha… not bad! It's impressive that you have such strength!"

Jan swung his machete in a circular motion around himself, parrying each of Frank's blows.

One might even argue that he was the toughest opponent Frank had in recent times, just as one expected nothing less of the second best among the younger Lionhearts. However…

"I'm done warming up now. It's time for you to die!" Frank growled, bolstered by his will to avenge his fellow apprentice.

His vigor erupted, and he was suddenly over ten times quicker.

Even as Jan looked on in shock, he shrouded himself in blood-red pure vigor as he descended from on high like a falling star.

His almighty punch seemed to be charged with monumental power from up close, Jan could even see a titanic ape from ancient times, pounding its own chest as it roared.

"What?!"

Frank's punch struck him in the stomach, even he could bring the eerie blood blade in hand to bear.

"Mystic Sky Sect pinnacle technique: Demon Ape Fist!"

Frank certainly put his weight in this punch, and coupled with his Ascendant rank physicality, Jan was screaming even as he was struck.

To no surprise, his protective pure-vigor was shattered, while Frank's knuckle grinded his insides into mush.

Blood and flesh splattered all over, and the very ground of Morehn shook.

Hiss…

Sweltering air unfurled, and Frank slowly stood up from a crater over ten minutes deep.

And at his feet lay a man, whose body was vaporized chest-down, yet the expression of shock was still clear on his face.

Jan was dead… and no one could have expected that!

He was the second strongest Lionheart, only next in potential to the Demon of Volsung Sect.

He was also a young general with a bright future, but he was killed with relative ease here in Turnbull Estate!

Frank did not hold back at all, killing him with a single punch!

"Oof…"

In the distance, Kain Loom-who was hiding beneath a chunk of debris and clutching his stomach-gasped.

With that planet-shaking punch and the sight of Jan lying dead at the bottom of the crater with his eyes wide-open, Kain had witnessed the true depths of Frank's powe He looked at Frank as if he were a monster-the man had just punched dead a martial elite, who was alive and kicking a moment ago… and was also a martial elite who advanced well into Tramet rank!

Whoever could have imagined that would happen?

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1479-"Stop."

Even as Til was about to escort Vicky and the others away, Rob and his men intercepted them.

Vicky scowled even as she stared at the barrels aimed at them from every direction. "Are you really so bent on becoming the next head of the Turnbull family right now?! You'd rather believe the slander someone outside your family tells you and kill your own father for it?!" "Save your breath."

Rob met Glen and Vicky's glare without flinching, even declaring proudly, "Everything I do is for the sake of this family's future! As the head of the Turnbull family, I will integrate the branch families with the main family, and only then do we have a chance to get out of this mess! You're old now, Dad-time to give it up!"

"Rob…"

Glen murmured feebly even as Vicky kept him on his feet. "Do you really think Jan Lionheart is sincerely helping you and our family? Hasn't it crossed your mind that he would turn on us once you unified the family, using you as his puppet to indirectly control our family?" Glen's son's stupidity was literally killing him, but he repressed his rage and exasperation to reason with Rob, in hopes that he would come to his senses.

Rob, however, remained adamant, even laughing coldly. "Don't think you can drive a wedge between me and my brother Jan. The man's loyalty weighs more than gold, and he considers me one of his own-he'd never do that."

Glen could only look up at the ceiling and sigh at that. "What the hell. How did I come to have such a son…"

Still, it soon became clear.

His eldest son did not have the talent for business, not to mention that he was straight-laced, stubborn, and simple-minded.

That was why Glen sent him to the military to train him, only for Rob's naivete to be exploited by the Lionherats.

If anything, Jan must have had a hand in the South Sea Crow's return, not to mention that the Lionhearts' plan here was awfully simple.

Since they were unable to take down the Turnbulls anytime soon, they decided to groom a puppet instead-which obviously was Rob.

After all, the martial artists whom Jan massacred would definitely be asking questions with the Turnbulls after this When that happened, Rob would definitely fumble and fail to keep the peace, and that was where the Lionhearts would come in.

Talk about a well-calculated move!

And if Glen could reach that conclusion, Vicky could too.

In fact, she was leveling a saddened look at Rob and sighed. "The Lionhearts' ambition knows no bounds, and their conspiracy is there for all all to see-and yet here you are, calling them your brothers when you're just a dog to them! See the truth already, Rob!"

"Hah! More of your lies!"

Rob remained unmoved, even gesturing for his men to cock their guns, ready to riddle everyone with bullet holes at his order.

"Til Tomek, was it?"

He turned toward Til and Kiki just then, growling threatening, "You have one chance. Leave Turnbull Estate right this instant-my family don't need your protection. Or you'll be next, right after my brother Jan kills that manwhore!"

"Don't listen to him!" Kiki exclaimed, bracing herself despite her obvious fear towards the guns leveled at them. "Our mentor will be furious if we abandon Mr. Turnbull, and Proud Sword Sect would have to live in shame!" "I'm counting down from three."

Rob held up three fingers, however, and Til immediately hung his head, sweating all over his brow.

To be honest, he had reached the early phase of Ascendant rank. As such, guns and bullets would not hurt him much, and he could even attack and defeat Rob and his men…

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1480-But what came after that?

Jan's little display of power in ballroom three had certainly left Til terrified.

The man did not even flinch as dozens of martial artists attacked him, instead going on to massacre them, bathing the ballroom in blood.

No one could even reach that man, while Til watched as everything unfolded, his morale completely crushed by his fear of the man's power.

After all, Jan had reached a pinnacle in strength Til could not even hope to reach in life, and worse of all was that black lion conjured with pure vigor.

It blocked out the sky and incinerated the ballroom in an instant.

Your average martial artist simply could not hope to reach that level. Til already regretted listening to Frank earlier and fleeing with Glen, Vicky, and the rest.

This was the last chance he was given, and he gave in to his fear after a brief silence.

He quietly backed away, pulling Kiki along and letting Rob take Glen, Vicky, and the other Turnbulls.

Seeing that, Kiki finally showed a look of disappointment to her fellow apprentice.

Their mentor had told them how the Turnbulls once saved Proud Sword Sect in the past-Glen Turnbull himself had loaned them money when they needed it the most, or they would have scattered into the wind otherwise by now. That was why Proud Sword Sect sent everyone here to repay that debt, only for Til to abandon the Turnbulls when it mattered just to save his own skin.

Kiki was certainly disappointed, though she also remembered Frank for some reason just then.

She turned toward Ballroom Three, which had collapsed into ruins, and Frank's fate now unknown.

However, even as Kiki mused to herself that Frank could stand up against adversity, she could retch as she remembered how her fellow apprentice used to strut in front of Frank.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Turnbull."

On the other hand, Til knew that words were meaningless now.

His mentor and the others could not make it in time, and he alone could not stop Jan.

That was why he decided to give up on them for the sake of his survival.

"Hehe… Hehehe…"

Vicky said nothing, but her cool laughter was all she needed to express her contempt for Til.

Rob strode up, ordering his men to flank Glen and Vicky, while telling Glen quietly; "Don't worry, Dad. I won't do anything to you-but I need you to announce that you're stepping down as head of the Tumbull family."

"What about Vicky?" Glen leveled a sharp glare at him, causing Rob to avert his eyes in reflex.

"Her?" Rob laughed coolly. "That woman is a plague to our family she will suffer the same fate as his manwhore! I will punish my own family as justice demands and per family rules!"

Glen closed his eyes in despair.

What misfortune! How did he come to bring such a fool to this world?!

Still, Vicky remained exceedingly calm, clapping her uncle on the shoulder and saying solemnly, "Don't worry. He'll definitely come back for us."
