Ch. 1751..1760

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1751-Frank was not aware that Cologne Court had been torched, though he did not have the time to worry about it at the moment.

He stood between the bomb and Gavin Lane to save the man from the brunt of the explosion-it was fortunate that his physique was of the Transcendent rank, or he would be left in pieces.

However, being able to stop the shockwave did not mean that Frank could nullify the blast, as it rushed into the air and left a mushroom cloud. Even as Gavin was left stunned by what Frank did, the force of the explosion rocked the building, and it started to crumble.

Still, aside from the finger Horey Lindt cut off, Gavin only sustained some cuts and bruises.

In other words, his injury was not all that serious overall speaking.

"Frank! Frank!" Gavin cried, endlessly anxious as Frank lay in the debris, barely breathing.

He did not expect Frank to stay with him even as the bomb went off, even taking the blow for him so that he came out relatively unscathed.

The sight of Frank covered in only rags and burnt all over left Gavin flustered, at a loss for what to do.

"Help… Help!!!" he yelled across all directions, hoping for someone who would come to Frank's aid.

However, it was late into the night, and the building was long since abandoned, so yelling did not help much… aside from waking Frank up. "Oof…"

Frank gasped, feeling the burning anguish in his belly and piecing together what had happened.

He could not help swearing under his breath-Horey was as cunning as she was brutal! Where could she have gotten a bomb of such yield?

If his physique was not that resilient, the bomb would really have killed him.

He looked up, sighing feebly as he glanced at the rags that were his clothes, as well as the circle of ash around his stomach and the bare flesh exposed.

It did not kill him, but it still maimed him and stopped him from moving.

Even so, his mind remained focused on his top priority: Horey.

He was certainly frustrated, as he did not expect Horey to escape under these circumstances.

With someone as cunning and relentless as Horey, not to mention bearing a serious grudge against Frank, she would cause him endless trouble if he allowed her to flee. The thought left Frank exasperated, but at this point he had to consider other options.

After all, he would never give away the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom, as it was a contingency that his mentor had prepared for him.

"Frank… You're alive?!"

Gavin was as shocked as he was delighted to see Frank open his eyes.

He hurried up, helping Frank to his feet.

Frank was left gritting his teeth as he withstood the pain in his stomach and nodded at Gavin.

"Let's just go home," he then said, surprised how hoarse his own voice was.

"Yes… Yes, yes!"

Gavin was sobbing despite being .ne man in his fifties, and he gently helped Frank out of the rubble and slowly helped him limp outside. "Brother!"

Scarface, who heard the crash, arrived and took the weakened Gavin's hands while Frank swnovel looking at him in surprise,"

Gavin's voice was choking with tears. "You know Frank? He took the bomb to save me…"

He could not be blamed for being a mess, as Gavin knew that Frank was the son of the famous Lord of the Southern Woods!

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1752-Gavin had no idea what to tell Frank just then, as the man had taken a literal bomb for someone as trivial as himself.

And on top of that, he survived, though extensively hurt.

It took Frank great strength to turn toward the tearful man and shake his head. "Please don't. You've helped Helen and myself a lot… I can't just let you die…"

"Thanks, son!" Gavin cried, his tears falling silently as he clapped Frank on the shoulder.

Helen must have had several lifetimes worth of luck to get herself a man with such loyalty!

"Where's Madfist?' Frank turned toward Scarface as he struggled to straighten himself.

"What…? Oh!"

Scarface only came to his senses at Frank's questions, as the way Frank took the bomb alone left him dumbstruck.

"He told me to watch the door on the side of the building," Scarface exclaimed. "He was supposed to watch the entrance… and then I came when I heard the explosion."

"Ah… Sorry about that." Frank sighed.

Regret showed on his face he should have done as Madfist suggested and brought more men to surround this place.

At least Horey would not have been able to flee, and he was overconfident judging from that alone.

Scarface then asked, "What about the woman? Did she die in the explosion?"

Frank sighed and forced a smile. "Nope. She's a slippery one-she gave me the slip."

"I see."

Scarface scratched his head and soon chuckled. "Don't worry-we will get her even if she got away this time And you did save the hostage, didn't you?" "Oof…" Frank gasped as Scarface clapped his hand on the shoulder.

He would have usually been fine with that, but he was hurt all over et and Scarface was a very big man, so the pain left him wincing in pain. "Oh, sorry!" Scarface exclaimed, embarrassed as he came to his senses.

"It's fine," Frank said, shaking his head. "Call up Madfist-we're leaving. We will deal with that woman once I'm better." "Alright." Scarface nodded.

That was when a hunched shadow arrived from a distance, his elderly voice rasping, "You don't have to. I've dealt with her." Scarface was caught by surprise, and laughed when he saw that it was Madfist. "Hahaha! We expect nothing less from you, old man!"

"Oof!"

Frank gasped again and shot a vicious glare at Scarface, as Scarface clapped him on the shoulder again.

Still, Scarface quickly realized it and threw his hands up in apology. "I-I'm sorry! I'm just very thrilled, hahaha…"

Be that as it may, Frank was frowning as he noticed the troubled look on Madfist's face.

It looked like Madfist was not telling him certain details.

For his part, Madfist was a seasoned veteran who saw Frank's concern right away in turn.

Still, he did not explain himself, et instead waving him off and saying, "Let's leave for now. You will hear more from me once you get better."

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1753-Frank's injuries were extensive anyone looking around his abdomen would be creeped out from a single glance, as they would be looking at his innards as well.

No one would usually survive something like this, but Frank was not an average Joe.

Even Madfist was left astounded by his sheer physical fortitude, and he had divine medicinal skills.

In the car, Frank had stopped his bleeding, and he took several Ichor Pills that healed the gaping hole in his abdomen at a visible rate.

Gavin, who was seated in the same car, was absolutely shocked.

They were all trying to send Frank to the hospital for rest and recovery, but he refused as he was worried about Cologne Court, insisting that they return home first.

He was worried ever since he heard over the phone that Huub Droitner would be going there, and since no one could talk him out of it, they drove straight back to Zamri.

And when they arrived, they were all left dumbfounded at the sight of the inferno, still burning away.

Frank's back was hunched as he clutched his stomach, staring blankly at the blazing mansion at the loss of words.

However, as rage soon appeared in his eyes, everyone felt the chill as if a storm was coming.

Scarface strode up to one of the middle-aged women who were watching nonchalantly by the curb, bellowing, "What the hell happened here?!" "What else could have happened?"

The middle-aged woman snorted, clearly gleeful. "Karma, I'm telling you! There used to be a gigolo who lived there, and even the gods had enough of him and destroyed the mansion."

"Exactly! Did he think just anyone gets to be the Lanecorp board chair's sugar baby? Deserved, I say!"

Frank's heart was pounding, as he realized that the neighbors only came to stand there gleefully and watch the fires burning down Cologne Court, not bothered to call for help.

Cologne Court was not only a home to him, but to Helen, Kat, Winter, Carol, and Nash too.

Vicky Turnbull and Noel York had their own rooms here as well, for whenever they dropped by.

It had not been that long, but Frank did grow attached to the place.

Looking up just then, he started toward the fire.

"Hey, hey, hey, what's he doing?!"

"Wait, isn't he Ms. Lane's sugar baby?"

"Haha! He knows he can't afford the damages after the mansion burnt down, so he must be hurting himself to excuse himself from Ms. Lane's wrath!" "Now, now. I really doubt that he'd actually go into the fire."

is The mockery all around left Scarface furious, and he bellowed, "Who are you calling sugar baby?! That not who you think he is… He trailed off, because he had no idea who Frank really was.

After some hesitation, he bellowed, "He's my brother!"

"Brother? Boo…"

"Just look at his scarred face. You can tell right away that he's nothing good, just like the sugar baby."

"Hell, I think he's beneath said sugar baby…"

Jeers and laughs of disdain answered Scarface, whose cheeks flushed red.

"Frank!"

Meanwhile, Gavin rushed up to try to stop Frank from getting into the fire, crying anxiously, "I know it hurts to see your house being burnt down, but you have to calm down!" "I am calm," Frank said very quietly.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1754-Frank never turned as he said quietly, "It doesn't matter if the house is burnt. I need to go in and see if anyone is trapped inside."

Gavin did a double take in realization-Frank was saying that he was checking for bodies.

"But it's already…"

Still, he frowned at the mansion that was devoured by smoke and flames.

He wanted to say that even if there were bodies inside, now was not the time to enter he would not come out unscathed if he rushed into the fire like this.

And Gavin had seen the depths of his strength as well…

"Don't get in his way."

Suddenly, Madfist came up and pulled Gavin aside, speaking quietly, "Let him."

"But he's already hurt…"

"Let him," Madfist said firmly.

Gavin had no choice but to stay silent and watch worriedly as Frank slowly headed into the blazing mansion.

"Shit, the brat's really going in?"

"Wait, isn't he going to die?!"

Bang!

While the bystanders looked on in shock and were busy talking among themselves, an eruption resounded within Cologne Court.

A violent shockwave unfurled away, knocking them off their feet while others backed away in shock.

Some of them were clicking their tongues and sighing.

"Well, I guess he's dead now."

"Yeah. There's no way he survived that."

ne Gavin, Scarface, and Madfist stood at the fore, watching the fire continue to burn, even as they felt Frank's genuine devas love Nheless, a trail of cars soon arrived from a distance, and the bystanders were whispering among themselves when they saw Lanecorp's logo on the side, vel.ne wondering what had taken them so long. "No… No!"

Helen screamed as she rushed out of the car, seeing the blazing mansion just then and not caring about her image as a board chair.

She was even ready to run into the fire, although Terry Cotton and Peter Lane quickly caught her.

"Calm down, Helen!" Peter cried as he tried to pull her back.

"It's all my fault… It's all my fault!"

Helen dropped to her knees, burying her face in her palms as she sobbed and howled.

Gavin saw them just then, and et grabbed Helen by the wrist despite losing a finger, leaning in as he demanded, "Helen! What happened here?" "I-I let Huub Droitner in to search Cologne Court for the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom…"

Helen was on the verge of passing out, forgetting why Gavin was there as all she could see was the burning mansion.

Gavin was thunderstruck, freezing up right then.

"What… You've really done it now, Helen!" He reared his head skyward and groaned.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1755- "What… You've really done it now, Helen!" Gavin reared his head skyward and groaned.

He did not even want to imagine how devastated Frank would be when he heard about that.

Here Frank was, putting his life on the line to save Gavin, only for Helen to allow Huub to burn down Cologne Court!

That was when Terry rubbed his eyes, staring at Scarface in disbelief. "Wait, is that really you boss?! They let you out?!"

However, Scarface strode up, his expression cold as he slapped Terry across the face right then!

Although he knew that Terry was working for Frank, he did not care to celebrate reuniting with his close friend, even though he looked so delighted to see him—not after he found out what had happened here!

"B-Boss?!"

Terry was left clutching his swollen cheek as Scarface's slap floored him, and he stared at Scarface in confusion. "Why did you slap me?"

"Why, you ask?!"

Scarface bellowed as he pointed at the burning mansion, "You're working for Mr. Lawrence, aren't you?! So what were you doing, allowing someone to burn down his house?! You're a useless piece of shit!"

Even as he ranted, Scarface began to clobber Terry.

For his part, Terry did not fight back and clutched his head as he sobbed, "Yes, just beat me up! It's my fault for not protecting Mr. Lawrence's house… I'm a failure…"

"Stop."

Madfist strode over just then, catching Scarface's wrist. "What good could come of this?"

While he spoke with the authority of a man with seniority, he could tell that ce was not relenting, and he knocked Scarface to the ground. "Calm down!" "How am I supposed to calm down, old man?!"

et Scarface struggled and yelled even as he was floored. "Mr. Lawrence was ready to lay down his life to save Gavin Lane, but what did this piece of shit do?! What did any of these pieces of shit do?! Didn't you see the look on Mr. Lawrence's face before?! No, I will kill these mooks right now! Now, I say!!!" His bellows left the scene even more tragic, just as Helen was jolted to her senses.

Staring at Gavin in shock, she blurted, "What… how…"

"Frank saved me."

Gavin sighed, collapsing to the floor and staring at the mansion burning in the distance. "He really put his life on the line to save a geezer like me, holding the bomb and almost dying right then…" "I… I…"

Helen's whole body shuddered at Gavin's words, and she could not speak.

She was thoroughly disappointed in herself, whether it was being cold to Frank or labeling him a thief.

Frank had always stayed true to himself, and Helen remembered what he had said so disappointedly back at the karaoke box.

"In the end, nothing's really changed."

Helen buried her face in her palms and sobbed, finally realizing that she was wrong, not Frank.

"It's just a mansion, isn't it?"

Gina finally spoke up just then, clapping Helen on the shoulder.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1756-There was a troubled look on Gina's face, but she still pursed her lips and continued. "Helen is now the head of Lanecorp. She could just buy another mansion."

Her conscience gnawed at her as she suddenly noticed everyone glaring at her, but she remained stubborn. "What, I'm not wrong, aren't I?" "Shut up, Mom!" Helen bellowed through her tears.

Gina's mouth hung open for a moment, but she eventually stopped herself and sighed, knowing that this had all happened because of their misunderstanding with Frank.

Crash!

The sound of a pillar collapsing suddenly resounded from the burning mansion, and soon, all of Cologne Court collapsed entirely.

Scarface was left stunned at the sight, but he soon scrambled to his feet without another word, ready to charge into the fire to save Frank.

Still, someone beat him to it-Madfist, still in his security guard uniform, moved as swiftly as a lightning bolt as he darted into the flames, punching and shattering the pillar in his way.

"What…"

Everyone from Terry to the bystanders were stunned by the power of the scrawny, elderly security guard.

He soon returned, his beard mostly burnt off but having scooped a figure from the debris.

"What?!"

It was only then that Helen realized that Frank had run into the fire.

Not caring to mope or cry, she shrugged free of Gina's hands and ran straight toward the man, whose face was charred and who was barely conscious.

"Frank… Frank!" Helen cried, her hands burnt just from touching Frank's face.

Frank opened his eyes, almost incoherent as he murmured feebly, "There's no one here… There's no one here… Hehe…"

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry…" Helen had no idea what to say aside from apologizing and was left shocked as Frank smiled in relief before passing out. She clasped a hand over her mouth, as she understood that Frank was relieved and happy that there were no bodies in the ruins of Cologne Court.

Judging from the looks of things, Winter and the others were alive.

Still, it was shocking that Frank was still worried about them in his state.

Even as Helen dropped to her knees, speechless, her tear ducts seemed to break as her teardrops rained on Frank's charred face.

"That's enough. He's alive-no need to cry your tears out."

Madfist, who was probably the calmest on the scene, shot Helena sideways glance before carrying Frank and putting him gently into the backseat of their car. Looking around sharply, he then asked, "Does anyone know of any hospitals nearby?"

"I-I do!" Terry quickly responded, but Peter had already gotten into car. "I get Frank to the hoo the up your men to put out the fire. "Oh, right." Terry spaced out for a moment but soon nodded in realization.

Gavin sighed as he sat down on the ground, staring blankly at the flames raging in the distance while the bystanders continued to chatter.

"The Lane family… really don't deserve him," he murmured.

Helen heard him and shuddered, hanging her head.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1757-Lily the secretary was left shocked by the audible slap.

Did someone really just slap Helen Lane, the CEO of Lanecorp, in her own office in Lanecorp Tower, and while she was sitting on her office armchair?!

But there was no doubt that it had just happened, and the assailant was a furious Vicky Turnbull, who had rushed to Zamri all the way from Morhen. As soon as she heard Frank was hurt and taken to a hospital, she dropped everything and rushed over immediately.

Along the way, she was told everything that had happened and somehow decided to go straight to Lanecorp Tower instead of visiting Frank.

Then, as soon as she arrived at Helen's office, she slapped the other woman without another word.

"Are you going to argue, Helen?" Vicky asked icily through her teeth.

"No," Helen's knuckles clenched under her desk, her whole body shaking as this was the first time she saw Vicky being this furious.

Smack!

Vicky said nothing as she slapped her other cheek.

"Ms. Lane!" Lily exclaimed as she strode up, ready to stop Vicky.

However, Helen held up a hand to stop Lily, shuddering as she breathed, "Let her."

"You said it, not me!"

Vicky gritted her teeth as she slapped Helen again, leaving her fair skin visibly swollen.

Still, as Helen wiped the blood off her cracked lip, she hung her head and murmured, "You can keep going if you're still not satisfied." "Guh…"

Vicky glanced at her palm which was swelling as well, her ample bosom heaving from clear frustration.

She slammed her hand on the table and bellowed right then, "Did you take your meds, Helen?! Is this how you're going to treat him when I leave him with you?! You really disappoint me… No, you do even deserve to call yourself my rival or my friend, you heinous bitch!" Despite Vicky's insults, Helen simply hung her head in silence, as if admitting to her fault.

"Argh!"

Vicky yelled as she kicked down the coat hanger Rearby, "Again, and again… I'm really curious now, Helen Lane! Do you have a heart?! If you do, what is it made of?! Even if it's made of stone, hasn't Frank done enough to warm it up?! I don't get it!" She turned, keeping her back to Helen as she wiped her tears. "What did he do to upset you? What did he owe you that you keep abusing him like this? Don't you know that everything he did is for your safe Who do you think is the reason your stupid company can last until now?! Would you even have reached where you are now without him?!" Even as Vicky pointed at Helen and snapped, Gina, who was listening outside, had enough.

She charged into Helen's office, snapping at Vicky, "Ms. Turnbull! This is Lanecorp, not Turnbull Estate! You don't get to—"

"Get out!" both Vicky and Helen yelled at the same time, leaving Gina at once dumbstruck.

Her mouth hung open, but there was nothing she could say as she quietly closed the door and left.

With the distraction gone, Vicky turned toward Helen again.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1758-The rage on Vicky's face somewhat subsidized, and she appeared weary as she collapsed on the couch, rubbing her brow.

Helen then began, "Vicky, I know—"

"What would you know?!"

Vicky bellowed before she could finish and waved her off impatiently. "I don't want your explanation.

The silence between them resumed for a long while, until Helen said, "I'll leave."

"What?!" Vicky looked up in surprise.

"I said, I'll leave… I don't deserve him," Helen murmured, keeping her head down.

"Wait, are you crazy, Helen?!"

Somehow, Helen's words left Vicky furious again, and she sprang to her feet as she slammed her hand on Helen's desk. "You think you can just leave without a care after what you did? Is that all you can do, Helen, as the great CEO of Lanecorp?!"

"Then what am I supposed to do?!" Helen cried, breaking down in tears as she collapsed on her desk. "I-I don't know what to do… I don't know how I should face him….. It's all my fault…"

Vicky was silent, seeing how much Helen blamed herself.

After a long while, she sat on Helen's desk, sighing as she patted Helen's head. "You silly girl. You're just so gullible…"

"What am I going to do, Vicky?" Helen asked, looking up tearfully at her.

"Just go apologize," Vicky said with a shrug. "I know him. He'd hold grudges against anyone except you. After that, we'll come up with a plan to get Winter and the others back."

"Yeah…"

Tearful, Helen threw herself in Vicky's arms, bawling, "I'm sorry… I promised, but I still…"

"That's enough." Vicky sighed exasperatedly, patting Helen's head as she pursed her lips. "I guess I'm stuck with you, huh? Well, I guess I'm coming back and delegating my own family matters to someone else." "Yeah…"

Helen nodded repeatedly in Vicky's arms.

swn It had been two days since Cologne Court was burned down.

Frank was stuck on a bed in Zamri Hospital's ICU, staring blankly at the white ceiling.

"Ow…"

He had to close his eyes in pain as he raised his arm, his skin burned off while the underneath flared. Comet "Winter… Kat…" he murmured, worried sick about them.

He had already heard from Peter that Winter and the others were taken hostage by Huub, who later sent his people demanding the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom. Huub had also threatened Frank that if he did not make up his mind by today, he would send Winter to Windy Moon Tower.

Frank had no idea what that place was, but he could guess from the name alone.

If Winter was really sent there, she would rather kill herself than be humiliated.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1759- Frank's mood was endlessly somber-not only was Huub's threat weighing down on him, but there was also the physical pain he was enduring. It was even more disappointing that Helen had not visited over the last two days, although he had an idea why.

Even if Helen did agree to let Huub search Cologne Court, Frank did not believe it was her own call, as he knew her well enough to see that she was wet behind her ears.

While she was easily deceived, Helen also had a genuine bond with Winter and the others, and she would not have allowed Huub to attack Winter.

That meant Helen was a victim too, and Huub must have used the fake Bloodcrane Spiritbloom to coerce her, forcing her to let him search Cologne Court for Frank's real Bloodcrane Spiritbloom.

Then, unable to find the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom, a frustrated Huub must have taken everyone in Cologne Court hostage as leverage against Frank while burning down Cologne Court.

While Frank was preoccupied with his thoughts, his phone rang beside him.

It was taxing to reach out and pick it up, and he was not surprised to hear Huub laughing from the other end.

Not only was he personally contacting Frank, but he was also immediately mocking. "Tut, tut. I heard you're bedridden in a hospital, Frank Lawrence… How pathetic."

Frank remained unaffected, as he said quietly, "I'd start worrying about my situation if I were you. Trust me, you'll regret what you did."

"Hahaha…"

Huub was undaunted, even laughing. "You're actually threatening me now, Frank? I still have the hostages I took from Cologne Court. Talk to me like that, and I'll make you regret it right now!"

Frank did not want to back down from Huub's threat, but he had to admit that he was at a disadvantage now and had to stay silent.

"Heh. At least you know your place."

Huub laughed in satisfaction at Frank's silence. "Anyway, I've asked my grandpa, and it turns out that the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom is one of Draconia's treasures, with one unlikely to bloom even across millenia. So, if you want my О el.ne hostages alive, you'll hand it over!" "Hmph…"

Frank snorted coldly. "You won't be able to use it even if you have it."

"Who said I was using it?"

Huub laughed. "My grandpa told me that it's very valuable in the foreign market, and I'm just an intermediary here."

Frank growled as he glowered, clearly holding back his rage. "You're selling it abroad?!"

"Heh. You don't have to worry about that."

Huub chuckled sleazily. "The bottomline is want an answer tonight, though if you refuse, your pretty sister is going to be sold off to Windy Moon Tower. There are already a few guests from abroad staying there, and they're all interested in your sister after checking her out." "You'd dare to do so?!" Frank growled through his teeth.

"Why wouldn't? And you'd better make up your mind soon, or she's going to have to show those men good time. They all have their fetishes, and truth be told, it hurts me to give her up too. Hahaha…" And with that conceited laugh, Huub hung up

Frank listened to the static beeping in silence for a long while and eventually made a call. "Trevor." "Yes, Mr. Lawrence?" Trevor Zurich asked.

The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1760-Frank spoke quietly, "Bring me the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom."

"But, Mr. Lawrence…" Trevor was hesitant. "You told me not to take it out under any circumstances, and-"

"Don't waste my time," Frank snapped.

Noticing the edge in Frank's voice, Trevor hung up right away without another word.

"Phew…"

Frank lay on his bed again, sighing lengthily.

Then, growling through gritted teeth, he forced himself to sit up and pulled out all the tubes attached to him as he got out of bed.

"Frank?! What?!"

Peter rushed in when he heard the commotion inside and immediately found Frank trying to stand up by leaning on the bed handles. He was stunned-Frank could still get out of bed in this condition?!

After all, the doctors here at Zamri Hospital said that Frank had sustained over seventy percent of burns over his body, with his hair completely burned off.

It went without saying that the gaping hole in his stomach ended up even worse, and an infection was kicking in by the time Frank was sent to the hospital.

If anything, it was a miracle that the doctors here could save him.

As such, Peter reasoned, "You should just stay in bed and recover, or you'd make your injuries worse—"

"I know my body better than anyone else."

Frank hacked violently but still held up a hand to stop Peter from helping him stand.

Still, he beckoned at Peter to make a list of medicinal ingredients and told him to bring it over.

Peter was well aware of Frank's knowledge in medicine and did not hesitate to get the ingredients.

Frank watched as Peter put everything on his bed and took a deep breath to muster his pure vigor from his meridian nexus.

Refining everything for a moment, he consumed everything in one go, and his cheeks regained some color once he did.

That was when Trevor arrived with an elegant wooden box.

"Perfect timing," Frank said, wiping the blood off his lips before telling Peter, "If your sister comes, just tell her I don't blame her-I only hope that she would have more faith."

"Wait, where are you going?!"

UMS Tears welled up in Peter's eyes even as he watched Frank limp away.

"I don't have the time to lie around. I need to save them."

Frank then paused and flashed a thumbs-up at Peter. "Thanks."

And with those words, he disappeared down the hallway.

Peter had no idea how he was going to stop Frank as he watched the man leave.

He had been ordered to prevent Frank from leaving, but he could not even start.

The man was just so… tough.

While he spaced out, Helen, Vicky, and the others arrived at the other end of the hallway.

Vicky immediately saw the ICU door wide open, while Helen turned pate in shock when she saw that Frank was not in his bed. "Peter… Where's Frank?" "He said he's going to save the hostages," Peter said calmly.

"I told you to stop him!" Helen exclaimed, grabbing him by the shoulders. "What the hell, Peter?! Can't you even do that much? Where did he go?! How long has he been gone?!" Peter sighed. "Sis… Who could have stopped him?"
