Ch. 31..35: The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife Chapter 31-35

Chapter 31: Chapter 31 – The surprise design

Sabrina knew that should they run into Robin at the party, he might cause trouble for them, especially when he was ecstatic about her relationship with Devin.

To introduce Martin as her new boyfriend, Robin would see her as a slut but then again, she could not bring herself to care about what he thought of her. After all, he was engaged to Zayla.

"Devin will be there with Lizzy and I will just say that we broke up, in case I bump into the devil."

Saying ’devil,’ Martin’s lips curled up a little, knowing that she was referring to Robin. She continued to elucidate, "The media will be there so if they carry the news about you and me, it would be much better."

She smiled shyly before she added, "I mean when the pregnancy begins to show. I hope it will not be a problem?"

Sabrina thought about her father’s words but wanted to operate with an open mind to be able to make a better judgment. She did not know how far Martin could go in protecting her when she did not have anything to offer but it was not wrong to try her luck.

To her amazement, Martin smiled, "Alright. I feel ashamed for worrying so much about you when you seem to have gotten it all together."

He ensured that his gaze did not expose his intentions. They were not vile but he knew it would take time before he got the chance.

Sabrina smiled in return since they understood each other and that was all that mattered to her at the moment. It was not as bad as she thought.

"Yeah, thank you and about that partnership you talked about with my brother? You know that the JC Minerals and JC Clothing line is..."

"I know that going into partnership with your brother makes me an automatic partner with you," Martin politely took the words from her mouth, she nodded her head,

"I would like to know the terms."

Martin straightened up, returning to his professional mode. "I will send the proposed contract to your email."

He stood up and stretched his hand towards Sabrina after adjusting his suit.

"I look forward to it." Sabrina joined her hand to his in a business handshake.

"Thank you, Sabrina, it’s good to see you this morning."

Martin turned around and just as he reached the door, he turned around and winked. Sabrina responded with a puzzled look before two ladies walked in with a very huge bouquet. Sabrina stood up and refused to take them,

"I did not order them."

"The sender’s note is right inside. Congratulations! Miss James," one of the girls announced with a smile.

At the same time, the two ladies quickly dropped the bouquets on her desk before seeing themselves out of her office.

Sabrina quickly pulled out the note attached to the bouquet, her eyes widened at the words, ’I forgot to tell you how beautiful you looked even when you were sad. I hope this brightens your day. Martin.’

Sabrina panicked, picked up her phone, and dialed his number. "Is there a problem?" Martin responded in a casual tone from the end of the line.

"The flowers."

"Do you not like them?" He asked with an innocent-sounding tone. Sabrina sighed at the way he made it feel like it was nothing.

"I do, but I just thought it wasn’t necessary. I can send it back."

"That is the reason I had it delivered after leaving. I sensed that you’ll send it back. Look, I ordered it after the sad look on your face which you went to cover with makeup. I wish there was a way to get your mind off Robin but I know there is none," he said in clear terms.

Sabrina swallowed tightly, fearing that she must have sent the wrong message across during their collaboration. She decided to come clean,

"Martin, there can never be us."

"I know but it does not stop me from treating you as a woman, right? Ask around, Sabrina. These things mean nothing."

Sabrina was a little embarrassed but grateful that they were not facing each other while having this conversation. She also realized how judgmental of him she was because Robin never treated her like this.

For that reason, she felt that Martin was up to something or due to what her father said. She had to find a way to know more about Martin more intelligently but right now was not it.

"Alright, thanks for thinking about me."

***

"Lizzy, why this design?" Devin asked his sister, a frown lining his face. Lizzy maintained her smile while she responded,

"It’s seasonal."

Devin stared at the design more critically. "But it looks incomplete with too much skin exposed." His understanding of elegance meant little to no exposure of a woman’s assets when giving the best they could ask for.

For a woman to be branded sexy without exposing too much skin was what he understood to be sexy, not the other way around.

"I designed it specifically for Sabrina," Lizzy revealed, Martin’s jaws dropped.

"I won’t let her wear this," he blatantly refused. Lizzy’s smile did not waver as she said,

"Let me finish."

"Alright, be fast about it," Devin urged her on. He knew Robin would be there and was waiting to see the look on his face when he saw Sabrina with Martin this time. Devin also wanted to make sure that Sabrina turned heads at the party.

"I was thinking about a better way to market our most expensive jewelry."

Lizzy brought out her phone and showed him, "I designed this especially, and it’s worth 1.5 million. Don’t you think it would match the dress design?"

When the understanding of Lizzy’s concept sank in, Devin’s lips stretched.

"Complete the design then."

"That is if you give me an hour," Lizzy requested with her unwavering smile.

Devin’s phone was ringing before he could respond and when he lifted it to eye level, he smiled and said, "You have an hour. I will be right back."

Chapter 32: Chapter 32 – Devin meets Zayla

Devin stood up abruptly and picked up his coat. There was an excited glee on his face when he matched to the door.

"Where are you going?" Lizzy asked since Devin was never secretive about his movements. He spoke without turning around,

"I will tell you later."

When Devin stepped out, he answered the call. "Tell me you got her."

There was a lot of expectation in his tone which made his detective sigh,

"She is having lunch with her mother at your favorite restaurant. She has been with her parents for a few days now," the detective reported from the end of the line. Devin let out a crooked smile whiles he responded,

"Thanks. Let me know if she makes a move."

Quickly, he reached the underground car park, got into his car, and drove to his favorite restaurant. It was just a five minute drive. As soon as he reached the car park, he received a text message,

’She is headed to the ladies’ room.’

Devin smiled as he changed his direction and went towards the ladies’ room after sending another text message,

’Hack into the cameras and make sure there are no visuals of my presence.’

’Got it,’ the response was prompt.

He checked the ladies’ room, which was quiet. There was nobody there. "Good," he said under his breath before hiding in a corner.

As soon as the familiar silhouette walked in, his hand covered her mouth before he locked the door of the ladies’ room from the inside.

The woman kept struggling but the man behind her was stronger. When her strength failed her, she stopped resisting before the man loosened his hold on her mouth, allowing her to turn around.

Zayla’s eyes widened when she saw the man who seemed to have kidnapped her. Her anger boiled at the audacity of this man to even try to hurt her when she was Robin’s woman.

Robin was the most powerful in New YorkCity, for which reason she had to be feared.

"How dare you?" She lashed out in fury and was surprised when the man’s big palms came into contact with her small face.

’Slap.’

Zayla was seeing stars. Sabrina’s uncouth boyfriend did not show her mercy at all.

A few days ago when Robin told Zayla that he loved her, everything changed. That assurance changed her decision to take down the news about Sabrina. If the news hurts the bitch so much, then she’ll decide to cut ties with Robin by returning the documents to the villa.

As such, Zayla rather opted to spend a few days with her parents, so she would not have to take down the video. Her father has always been there, preventing her from having any serious talk with her mother, who felt that her daughter’s behavior was wrong.

The woman sensed something amidst when the father decided to take her daughter along to the office so she followed, looking for every opportunity to pump some sense into her daughter’s head.

Luckily, there was an important meeting that Zayla’s father could not miss. When he left for the meeting, the woman offered to take her daughter out to eat. She chose a simple and affordable restaurant but since her daughter had one of Robin’s black cards, she insisted on a luxury restaurant whiles she assured her mother that she could afford it.

The woman did not like the idea, for which reason she refrained from making an order and rather asked her daughter, "Tell me Zayla, why did you spread news like that about Robin’s ex-wife?"

Zayla was not surprised but was still upset by her mother’s probing, knowing that the woman would not accept any explanation she would give.

"Mother, you said that you wanted us to eat."

"So, can’t we talk while we eat?" her mother asked in return, making Zayla purse her lips helplessly. After a frustrated sigh, she began to let out,

"Mom, Robin loves me. He told me himself and I’m pregnant for him."

"Are you? I don’t see any signs," her mother said directly, she stiffened a little.

"How can you say that? The doctor confirmed it." Zayla got into a defensive mode while her mother stared at her calmly. She asked the next question she has been wanting to ask,

"So where is that huge diamond? Are you not afraid that the media will question you about not wearing it?"

Zayla frowned a little. She did not want her mother to know that everything was fake and Robin had not proposed to her.

"Mom, I will tell them what I am telling you; it’s expensive and I don’t want to lose it. I will only wear it for special occasions but for now, It’s safely locked up in the penthouse."

"You have his black card. Even if you lose it, you can still purchase another one. After all, Robin works and you spend," her mother taunted. Zayla lowered her head thoughtfully before lifting it again and saying,

"He will think I’m a gold digger. If there is any special event, I will go wear it."

"Stop this life, Zayla. If Robin truly loves you, then you have no point attacking an innocent woman. You destroyed her home and spread such news about her?"

Her mother was not polite about it and Zayla felt ashamed. It was just luck that the restaurant was empty. However, a waiter was headed their way so she lowered her voice and said,

"She was the one who stole Robin from me."

"You never knew Robin until you met her," her mother pointed out. There was no winning with the woman before her so she created an excuse,

"You know what, order your food; I have to use the ladies’ room." The waiter had arrived but the woman did not end the discussion, saying,

"Keep running Zayla, whatever you and your father are up to, you should be careful."

"I will be right back and please order take outs for dad and me. Here is the card," Zayla said, gave her the card and ran off, relieved. If they had not come to such an expensive restaurant, her mother would not have taken the card.

Zayla reached the ladies room, about to text her father to call her mother to come back to the office when a strong hand wrapped around her mouth before locking the door securely. When she regained herself, she saw the familiar face.

Sabrina’s so-called boyfriend. Irritation grew in her heart. "How dare you?" She lashed out when a slap landed on her face.

Zayla’s eyes blurred, as the pain seeped through her head when she glared at the angry-looking man in front of her.

"You have something to say?" Devin asked her, his tone embalmed with fury.

Chapter 33: Chapter 33 – Devin teaches Zayla a lesson

Due to the pain, Zayla could not speak immediately and tears fell from her eyes. The heat from the slap was enough to bring her mind home from wherever it was before.

"What...what do you want from me?"

She held her burning cheek and asked in a tear-filled stammer. Robin glared at her.

From the moment Sabrina cried because of that news, he began to plan his revenge against Zayla. All along, it was difficult to get her since she either stayed with Robin or her parents.

Devin insisted that the spy kept tailing her to update him anytime she was alone and now, here she was, at his mercy.

"My message is simple. I don’t care what happens between you and Robin but if you ever complicate my woman ever again, I will kill you and no one will know about it."

Hearing his words, Zayla wanted to laugh. She knew that if she got out of there, Robin would avenge her but her purpose at the moment was to leave the washroom in one piece. The man already slapped her and only God knew what he would do next.

"Robin will find you out," she threatened him but Devin laughed. Everything was well planned without a trace.

"You think so? How will he find me out really?"

Zayla bit her lower lips in deep thought, as fear slipped through her. She was about to reply when he said again,

"If I deny ever setting eyes on you, it will be your words against mine."

"But there are cameras," Zayla countered. Devin laughed again and revealed,

"There are ways around cameras you see and right now, you are at my mercy so tell me, what is the problem with you and my woman?"

Zayla frowned a little. This man had said before that he could give Sabrina anything she wanted so it would not be hard for him to advise her to leave the villa, right?

"I just want the villa."

"And that you can’t have and if you ever mention her name one more time in the face of the media, I will find you, and I will kill you. As for now, call them and tell them to take down the news," Devin requested.

Zayla paled. After the sacrifice of moving to her parent’s house to keep the news, how could she take it down?

"No." She refused.

Devin was upset. He warned her, "I’m not Robin, bitch. I will kill you and it’s not an ordinary threat."

He already slapped her and she was locked in the ladies’ room with him. Indeed, anything could happen. Perhaps she should do as he says and inform Robin later when she gets the chance.

Gritting her teeth, Zayla took out her phone and dialed the number of the media rep who published the news.

"Please take down my interview with you last week on all channels."

From the end of the line, the media rep was not amused, seeing the publicity the video got in such a short time. It was the hottest and most trending news so far.

"Are you sure about this?" He asked from the end of the line. Zayla glanced at the man in front of her who looked like he was going to cut her body into tiny pieces any moment from now.

"I’m positive. I think my engagement with Robin should be secret for now. I’m sorry to bother you."

"Alright if you say so. Don’t forget to count on me at any time," the rep said.

"Thank you," Zayla responded before hanging up.

Devin had a genuine smile on his face as he said,

"Surprisingly, you can be mature. Have a nice day, Zayla."

Devin walked out before Zayla stepped out of the shock of what he made her do. "You won’t get away with this, Sabrina’s boyfriend," she muttered under her breath, forgetting what she came to do in the ladies’ room.

She stepped out but Devin was nowhere in sight. She saw one of the cleaners and asked, "Did you see a tall man in a brown suit?"

The cleaner looked around innocently before shaking his head,

"No."

"Are you sure, he left like a minute ago," Zayla recalled and said, not believing that the man would just disappear into thin air.

She needed a witness since Devin had threatened to mess with the cameras.

"I’ve been here for at least five minutes but I saw no one," the cleaner maintained his innocent look and responded.

Zayla realized that Devin must have bribed the cleaner, and her shoulders dropped. But her hopes rose again.

At least, Robin would believe her and yes, her cheeks were still red. Also, Robin was rich enough to have an investigation done into the matter.

Reaching her mother at the table, she said hastily,

"Mom, Robin called. He wants to see me in his office."

"Ah, let’s go together," her mother stood up with the take-outs and said, Zayla’s gaze dropped.

"No, mom, please go back with the driver. I will take a cab," Zayla refused. She needed to see Robin alone.

Since she did not want her to come along, her mother gave up.

"No, you are pregnant so you go with the driver while I take the cab."

"Alright mom, thank you," Zayla said and turned to leave when her mother caught sight of the redness on her cheek.

"Zayla, what happened to your cheek?"

"Mom, I don’t know what you are talking about. I will see you. Please take my food to the office. I will meet you there," Zayla said and rushed out.

When she arrived at Robin’s office, she did not bother to greet the secretary, walking past her to the President’s office.

"Miss..." Aria’s words hung in the air when Zayla opened the door.

"Please Mr. President, I can’t take it anymore."

"Shut up and get out!" Robin yelled.

"You are next," he commanded. Zayla froze and forgot to close the door when a naked woman run past her.

Chapter 34: Chapter 34 – Robin was not remorseful

Robin was having a bad day. Zayla refused to take down the news about Sabrina and had left for a few days.

He never went to the penthouse, drowning himself in work. Since Zayla decided not to take down the news and left for a few days, he thought of ways to compensate Sabrina but her mobile number was out of reach.

Then Robin recalled Devin’s words about what he had done with Sabrina, feeling that she deserved it. However, he still could not get over it.

Maybe it was because he was too busy and had not fucked any woman in for days. Since the last time he was unable to have his release, he did not try it again.

Picking the intercom, he said to Aria, "Send me three girls.

"

"Sir?"

Confusion rang louder than Aria’s voice but Robin was immune to it, his tone was impassive,

"Don’t get righteous with me, Aria. Send them now?"

"But sir, the meeting with the CEOs has been moved forward and they will be arriving in three hours. We have not completed the agenda too..."

"Just do as I say," Robin cut her off.

"Yes sir,"

Aria agreed sheepishly and called three of Robin’s whores. Due to excitement, they arrived very early. Robin’s eyes were bloodshot when they walked in. He had not had a good sleep, no good food, and no good sex.

"Get in there and take those fucking clothes off," he purred.

The girls obeyed and reaching out for a box of condoms, he followed suit. Grabbing the first girl after wearing the condom, there was no foreplay and the girl winced when he penetrated deeply from the back after applying some lubricant.

Robin was never merciful with his whores but the girl enjoyed it in the beginning until it became painful since the man had not had his release till it felt like eternity.

A few times, he would stop and use a lubricant but the girl could not take it, and began to beg,

"Please, Mr. Jewel, it hurts."

Robin stopped. He never wanted to feel like he was hurting a woman for something they both would enjoy, ending up getting upset.

"Get out and never come back again!" he yelled like a demon-possessed man.

The girl seemed rather happy with the instruction. If he had continued, she was sure that her pussy would have torn in pieces and she would be admitted to the hospital.

If that happened, then she would not be able to work for days and end up losing more money. Robin paid best but little drops of water would indeed make a mighty ocean.

She put on her clothes and left while Robin changed the condom. The second girl felt victorious, feeling that the first girl was weak. Again, the same pattern repeated until she got tired and began to beg,

"Please Mr. President, I can’t take it anymore."

"Shut up and get out!"

Robin yelled again after pulling out. At least, all hope was not lost and his expectation of the last girl was more.

"You are next," he commanded, looking at the third girl. From her initial reluctance, Robin was beginning to lose hope as his erection was painful. However, the third girl seemed more experienced but did not move.

"Did you hear me?" He snarled, his rage boiling.

"Yes, but you are upset and it will just be like the last two," she lowered her head and spoke.

"Are you educating me?" Robin asked impatiently. The girl feared a little but went on to explain,

"No, but if you can think about the last time you enjoyed it, then the memory would help you."

Robin frowned deeply but began to think through her words and the only image cruising through his mind was his last night with Sabrina. As he thought about it, his erection became unbearable.

"Get up!"

He snarled. The girl obeyed this time and shot up her ass after he wore a new condom. He applied a lubricant at her entrance before plunging in from the back. All along, his mind went to that night with his ex-wife, as he imagined all he did to her in the name of punishment.

The next moment, his release sprang out like a fountain with an exciting groan, as he squeezed the girl’s buttock tightly.

"Tomorrow, same time. You shall be my exclusive."

The girl smiled. Hers did not even take as long as the others and he already had his organism. "Does that mean I get a raise?" She asked with a proud glint.

"Double," Robin assured her.

The girl smiled and put on her clothes while Robin disappeared into the washroom to freshen up. He even changed his clothes and looked more refreshed.

Stepping out of his inner room into the office, he was surprised to see Zayla with tears in her eyes. However, there was no remorse on his face.

A man had needs and when it comes to Robin, not every woman could satisfy him. Zayla was pained, even when she was certain that those girls would not expose it to the media.

The fact remained that Robin did not find her sexually attractive and no matter how she tried to accept his excuses, these little acts of his triggered pain.

"Did you fuck the two of them?" She had only seen two and so she asked. Recalling the first one who had run out naked and Aria had to show her to the washroom to go and wear her clothes.

Zayla felt embarrassed at having introduced herself the last time as Robin’s fiancé. She wondered what Aria would think of her now.

She was even more bitter about the fact that Robin asked the last girl to come back tomorrow.

"Zayla, what brings you here?" Robin sat on his executive swivel chair and asked with unremorsement, Zayla wondered if he was the same man who confessed that he loved her a few days ago.

Chapter 35: Chapter 35 – Robin did not believe her

Robin had wanted to hug her to show that he still cared for her but recalled how photos of their semi-intimate moments ended up on social media. For that record, he did not want to take any such risk again.

Zayla was saddened by the question. Perhaps, leaving for a few days was not a good decision. In the end, she was still forced to take down the video.

"Can’t I come to visit?"

Robin responded quickly to an email while Zayla sat on the visitors’ chair in front of him. It was as if he did not hear the question before but lifting his head, he responded casually,

"Of course you can but you should have called because I have an important meeting in an hour."

Zayla was offended but since he mentioned that he had a meeting, she put on a calm appearance and pouted,

"Darling, I missed you. I’m ready to do it anyhow you want. You have not even shown that you missed me," she stood up and went to sit in front of him.

Robin raised his brows and responded, "Did you think about the good fare of our unborn child?"

Zayla stiffened, "You can be gentle," she said with determination. Robin shook his head before responding,

"No, I can’t. I don’t know how."

"And Sabri..."

"Stop mentioning her name, Zayla. Stop comparing yourself to Sabrina!" Robin ended up yelling at her, as his anger swelled up.

"Her boyfriend slapped me," Zayla said in a teary voice, Robin froze.

"What?"

Did the bastard hit his pregnant girlfriend? Was he insane? As the questions run through Robin’s mind, Zayla was satisfied by his reaction, and continued to explain,

"I went to eat with my mom at a restaurant and I went to use the ladies’ room. He was there waiting for me."

"What did he want?"

Robin gave his full attention, thinking of ways to kill the bastard for laying a finger on the mother of his unborn child.

Zayla knew she had won. Robin was going to avenge her. She felt so victorious, she ended up spewing the truth when she did not intend to.

"He forced me to take down the news about Sabrina."

"Oh,"

Robin’s anger died. At the same time, Zayla lost all hope and her eyes turned glassy again.

"Oh? Won’t you do anything about it?"

Robin leaned on his headrest in deep thought. If Zayla had listened to him, this would not have happened.

"Isn’t it good that he did not press charges?"

"But he slapped me," Zayla’s voice thinned out and Robin frowned instantly. He was about to pull her into his arms but resisted and said,

"For that, he has to pay. Did you get his name?"

The light in Zayla’s eyes dimmed once again. "Uhm, no."

Robin sighed frustratedly. If only he could get the name of the bastard. Swallowing his anger, his attention went back to Zayla.

"Unless we have a name, we can’t do much but I will have someone check the cameras."

Robin picked up his phone and made a few calls. When he was done, his mood felt worse, as he stared at Zayla who had gone back to her seat. His question stunned her.

"Zayla, why are you so paranoid?"

"What are you talking about?"

Zayla wiped a tear and asked. She could not put any form of understanding to Robin’s accusation as he revealed,

"There is no proof to all you have said."

Zayla gritted her teeth. Sabrina’s boyfriend indeed cleared everything but Robin should believe her, right?

"Robin, do you mean I will hit myself? He said that no one will believe me because he could manipulate the cameras," Zayla said helplessly, her heart sinking as Robin continuously shook his head.

"Zayla, even if he manipulated the cameras, no one in the restaurant saw him. Yet, there was footage of you going and coming out of the ladies’ room."

Zayla did not hold back her tears. It was painful for that man to get away with what he did to her. All she could do was continuously plead, hoping that Robin would see through her eyes that she had been unfairly treated.

"Robin, he hit me, I swear it and why would I take down the news when I left the penthouse because of it?"

That information got Robin thinking otherwise since Zayla was indeed adamant to take down the news and had threatened to abort the child if he did. She also left for a few days because of it.

"Sir, the CEOs are waiting in the conference room," Aria announced, jolting Robin from his mental analysis.

"Will you wait? It’s going to be a long meeting," Robin stood up and asked.

"I will go to the penthouse," Zayla said and stood up, while wiping her tears. Robin sighed,

"Let the chef cook something for you to eat. You look tired."

Zayla forced a smile and left the office but did not respond. Robin felt helpless since there was no proof of all that Zayla had said.

***

Devin arrived at the office with glistening exciting eyes. Lizzy was equally excited since her design came out well and said,

"You look excited."

"Have you not seen that news about Sabrina disappearing?"

Devin asked in high spirits. Dealing with Zayla was like accomplishing a great target.

Lizzy took her phone, her eyes glistening with amusement. "How did you do it? I thought..."

"Let it be our little secret Lizzy, not even Sabrina should know," Devin warned seriously, knowing that Sabrina was too modest and might not like what he did to Zayla. He did not regret it though.

Lizzy’s eyes shone as she agreed, "Fine, so tell me."

"I got someone to follow her till I got the news that she was in the restaurant. You know how pregnant women can’t stay away from the washroom," Devin shrugged while removing his coat.

"And she agreed to take down the news just like that?" Lizzy could not believe it.

"No, but after I threatened her when I had already given her a good slap, she did not have a choice."

"What? You slapped Robin’s woman?" Lizzy could not help laughing.

"And it felt so good. I got a call before I got here that he called to check on the surveillance and all."

"And?"

"My tracks were well covered. Now let me see our final design," Devin got serious and requested when he sat back on his executive swivel chair.

Lizzy turned the small board to face him, excited at how his jaw seemed to drop at what he was seeing. "This is amazing."
