Ch. 41..45: The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife Chapter 41-45

Chapter 41: Chapter 41 – The devil and his mistress

"Lizzy, are you sure about this dress?"

Sabrina felt as if she was for sale in the dress her sister designed for her. It was a high-fashion design and the only reason it made her uncomfortable was the amount of skin it forced her to expose.

Sabrina has never been exposed to such an amount of skin all her life, for which reason she was shy.

"I already discussed it with Devin. It’s gorgeous," Lizzy insisted, while she bit on a sausage barbeque for snack. Lizzy was a lover of sausages, for which reason she worked out a lot to burn the calories after.

Sabrina was hoping that Devin would put in a word for her but his silence meant he already agreed with Lizzy and she felt alone for the first time since her return.

Looking at the dress Lizzy wore, an idea popped into her mind and she requested,

"Devin, let me wear her dress instead," she beckoned to the dress Lizzy wore. At the same time, she began to feel nauseous and ran to the bathroom.

"Oh my, the pregnancy side effects are knocking at her door, what do we do now?" Lizzy asked helplessly before following Sabrina.

"Are you alright? Do you want to stay back?" Lizzy asked worriedly.

Sabrina was still pouring out everything she ate and rinsed her mouth. Not wanting to offend her kid sister, she spoke softly,

"I don’t have morning sickness or anything. I can make it to the party for as long as you stop eating the sausages till after the party."

"Oh," guilt flashed in Lizzy’s eyes before she rendered a heartfelt apology and rinsed her mouth with mouthwash before washing her hands.

"I won’t eat it any time we are together."

"Thank you,"

Sabrina said before going back to the bedroom where Devin was sitting on the bed waiting for them anxiously. Seeing that Sabrina was fine, he felt relatively relieved from his worries.

Lizzy overtook Sabrina and discarded her remaining sausages with a sad look but since she was doing it for Sabrina, it seemed to be worth it.

Devin observed his sister’s gorgeous curve in the dress designed by his kid sister and he could not imagine her in any other dress as she had requested.

"Sabrina, you are the deputy CEO of JC Minerals and you will be meeting a lot of businessmen and women today. Don’t you think it’s time to make a good acquaintance and let your appearance tell them what you are into?"

Sabrina did not understand until he brought out the necklace.

"Oh, I did not think about it that way."

Lizzy’s eyes were glistening like a little girl receiving her favorite candy.

"So, we are settled, right? There are four or more pieces of jewelry with me so we have to stick together and remember to not mention any price," Lizzy advised but Sabrina was confused.

This was all new to her, except that her level of determination was extreme.

"What if someone offers to buy it at a lower price?" Sabrina asked curiously.

"Then you don’t have to sell it," Lizzy advised with an air of caution before drawing Sabrina’s attention to something else,

"Remember, the actual price of each of the necklaces is 1.5 million. The rest would be the profit we make from it."

The doorbell rang.

"I think Martin is here," Devin grinned before going to get the door. Martin walked in with another bouquet in his hand. At the sight of Sabrina, so many emotions gathered in his eyes,

"Oh, my God, Sabrina, please let me take a picture for my wallpaper. You look gorgeous,"

he handed over the bouquet to her whiles he spoke and Lizzy rolled her eyes.

"You..."

Sabrina wanted to confirm the part of him using her picture as a wallpaper but Martin had already discerned the error in his words and quickly made a correction.

"How else do we make it believable? I could just drop my phone, pretending like I left it behind. You know how these things work," he winked.

Sabrina did not read any negative meaning into his request after the explanation he gave and agreed to take pictures with him.

It was not a selfie since Devin honored it by being their photographer. After everything, they took group pictures as well, after begging their father to be their photographer.

Sabrina did not recall any time she snapped a picture with Robin after the one they snapped during their wedding day. At the thought, her mood dampened.

After the photographs, they left in two different cars. They arrived earlier than most people and had observed everything until Sabrina’s bladder got full. Martin decided to escort her since most people had not arrived.

Reaching the elevator, they bumped into the devil and his mistress. Sabrina could feel Robin’s heated gaze on her, which made her perturbed.

"If you are not coming out, then we are coming in," she said, since the couple in the elevator had turned into pillars of salt at the sight of her. She had no idea what was going through their minds.

Robin rocked a black suit with a black shirt and tie which gave him a domineering appearance compared to Martin who wore a black suit with a white shirt and black bow tie.

He looked like a handsome young man. Compared to Robin, the latter held an air of superiority over everyone.

Robin gazed at Martin and the latter held his gaze calmly. Instinctively, Martin’s hands reached the small of Sabrina’s back and Robin’s jaw clenched.

"What are you doing here, Sabrina?"

Robin questioned as if he was not expecting to see her. He just did not know what to say and the fact that he could not keep his eyes off her when he had a woman beside him.

"Aside from the fact that I came with my boyfriend, I also sell jewelry," Sabrina smiled boldly and spoke. Hearing her refer to Martin as her boyfriend, Robin felt odd.

Nevertheless, the mention of his ex-wife selling jewelry caught his attention. She never worked in her life and ventured directly into sales? That was bold. Robin’s brows raised into a scrutinizing gaze.

"Since when did you know anything about jewelry and marketing?"

Sabrina smiled but it was a bitter one. If Robin thought that all she was good at was cooking and taking care of his home, then she was ready to surprise him.

Glaring at Zayla who had coiled into her shell from her keeper look, Sabrina analyzed something.

"Like that diamond ring on your fiancé’s finger, it’s fake. She must have been duped and it’s such a shame, isn’t it? Perhaps you could buy this necklace for her, to lift her image."

Robin’s face hardened at the embarrassment Zayla had caused him. Before now, he never thought the ring existed since she had claimed to have borrowed it.

Feeling his disappointed gaze on her, Zayla’s face dropped at the revelation but her eyes lit at the suggestion of the necklace since Robin never bought anything for her directly except food.

"Yes, Robin, I like the necklace," she said with enthusiasm.

Chapter 42: Chapter 42 – Robin’s weird revenge

Robin used the opportunity to stare at Sabrina’s neck after stepping out of the elevator to allow others to go in and come out. The blue diamond was a rare kind and he knew it was expensive.

"How much are you selling it for?"

He asked seriously. Since Sabrina had not taken any money for her alimony, he could buy it for Zayla, so Sabrina would get some commission from it.

"How much do you want to buy?"

Sabrina asked in return, Robin frowned, feeling like she wanted to mock him. Since he had a fair knowledge of jewelry, he decided to test her knowledge and ability.

"500k."

Sabrina laughed and said, "The guy is broke." Then she turned to Martin and said, "Martin, let’s get out of here."

Zayla frowned and Robin was greatly annoyed. His ex-wife, who knew he was a billionaire, called him broke. Before Sabrina took a step with Martin, Robin said,

"2 million."

Making a 500k profit was cool but for someone like Robin who was trying to be stingy, Sabrina decided not to sell it. Wrapping her arm around Martin, she said,

"Martin, what are you waiting for?"

"5 million,"

Zayla yelled before the pair took a step. Sabrina halted and turned around, amazed by Zayla’s stupidity. She smiled and asked,

"Did you say something?"

Zayla was a little nervous, seeing that Robin was upset but this was her chance to prove to Sabrina that she was very important to Robin. Besides, the girl from the ring store had tricked her and she meant to deal with her later.

Right now, she had to cover the shame of the fake diamond ring she was wearing.

"Ehhm...." She stammered before letting out, "My fiancé will buy me the necklace for 5 million."

Sabrina looked around and saw Lizzy with Devin from the distance. She said instantly,

"Lizzy, please package this for her." She turned around and Lizzy came to remove it from her neck to put it back in the jewelry box.

Lizzy turned to Robin, asking, "Mr. Jewel, your card please?"

Robin shook his head before fishing out his card from his suit pocket and giving it to her. Zayla was so happy when the card was swiped successfully. After the jewelry box was handed over to Zayla, she opened it, beckoning Robin to put it on for her.

Robin did so while he cautioned,

"Be careful with bargains next time, Zayla, that necklace is only worth 2 million or less."

Zayla frowned sadly, feeling cheated, whereas Sabrina returned Robin’s card and said,

"You see, Mr. Jewel, the original price of the necklace is 1.5 million but the price you put on it is the value you give to your woman. Do you mean that she isn’t worth it?"

Robin was shaking with anger, whereas Zayla was very embarrassed. Did it mean that she was not worth it?

Sabrina did not wait for an answer before disappearing into the elevator where Lizzy and Martin joined her. Lizzy placed another necklace on her neck, gave her a thumbs up and said,

"Good one there, I knew you had it in you."

After coming back from the washroom, the Borough president had arrived and the atmosphere was exhilarating. The music had changed and a lot more guests had arrived.

When Sabrina walked in with Martin, she indeed captured everyone’s attention.

"Isn’t that Mr. Jewel’s ex-wife, she looks stunning."

"Yes, even more stunning than his new fiancé and she has a new boyfriend too."

"The man is so lucky to have her. God, she’s like a goddess from a mystical book."

As Zayla heard people’s comments concerning Sabrina, she was virtually upset. She was the one with Robin and yet, no one said anything good about her. They kept giving all the compliments to his ex-wife.

"Have you seen that necklace? It must be very expensive."

"Yes, I think her new boyfriend spoils her by buying her expensive things and bringing her out. The dress is also gorgeous. Mr. Jewel never flaunted his ex-wife in public."

As Robin heard the gossips, his eyes darkened imperceptibly. Sabrina was now wearing a red diamond. No matter the color of diamond she wore, it matched her dress perfectly because it was black.

"And now our guest of honor, Mr. Robin Jewel,"

The MC asked Robin to accompany the Borough President and his family to cut the cake. There was a loud applause after the cake cutting was done.

"Thank you, Mr. Jewel for coming. I know you are a very busy man so this means a lot to me." Mr. Bright, the Borough President said.

Daniel had also arrived but seeing that woman he saw the last time with Sabrina’s ex-boyfriend, he tried distancing himself from the woman he brought along and had not gone to see Robin.

"It’s a pleasure, Mr. Bright," Robin smiled and said before the Borough President went on to say,

"My wife is blown away by the necklace your ex-wife is wearing. Can you convince her to sell it? I can see that your mistress is wearing a similar one."

Zayla smiled bitterly to be addressed as a mistress instead of fiancé and she expected Robin to correct the elderly man. To her dismay, he only casually said,

"Sabrina is into the sale of jewelry so there’s no doubt she will sell it. Don’t worry, I will call her over."

Robin left Zayla, walked over to where Sabrina was talking to some businessmen, most probably, trying to sell the necklace and said,

"You are coming with me."

"No, she’s not," Martin refused when Robin said,

"She said it herself that she sells jewelry. Bright wants to buy one for his wife."

Without waiting for any of their responses, he grabbed Sabrina tightly by the arm and began to walk with her as if they were a perfect couple.

Martin’s teeth were grinding badly, he could feel that Robin was trying to get back at him for what he said in front of the media but did not care. After selling the jewelry, he will keep Sabrina from Robin.

As Robin walked with Sabrina, he felt a sense of warmth and comfort like he never felt before. He saw a waitress carrying wine, picked two glasses and offered one to her, saying,

"Here you go, your so-called boyfriend did not bother to get you a drink."

Sabrina tensed instantly. How was she going to refuse without giving herself away?

Chapter 43: Chapter 43 – Forgot she was pregnant?

"Robin, I’m not tasty,"

Sabrina tried to stay calm, as she refused the offer. Robin felt awkward, holding the two glasses of wine. ’Did she refuse because of what I said about her boyfriend?’

Robin pursed his thin lips. Besides, do people drink wine because they were thirsty? "I am offering you wine, not water, Sabrina. Did you lose your head?"

"I don’t like wine," Sabrina refused again, trying her best to maintain her confidence and not give herself away. Perhaps she thought that her ex-husband did not know her well enough but Robin knew a few things about her better than she thought.

"That is a lie. I’ve seen you drink wine so why don’t you want to drink?" His tone this time sounded suspicious and Sabrina was lost for words. She was not really a good liar but had been trying her best so far in the bid to keep away from Robin.

"Because I hate women who drink," Martin responded behind them, Sabrina was very pleased by his intervention but she was damned to think that Robin would so easily give up.

"Then you are a hypocrite, bringing her to a place like this," Robin responded to Martin with a heated gaze. He was still looking for ways to deal with the idiot for the shame he caused him and this seemed to be the perfect opportunity.

"She is here to sell," Martin said to Robin, who raised his brows. For as long as he knew, a saleswoman would try to blend in so that excuse was just too lame.

The more Martin and Sabrina united against the wine, the more Robin felt that something was wrong.

With a little thought, he said, "Well if you go to Rome, do as the Romans do."

He tried to give the wine to Sabrina and paused, his eyes closing into a squint. "See? She’s shivering. A little wine and her confidence will be bolstered."

Robin had no idea of the reason why Sabrina did not want to drink but her shivering form showed that she needed a little wine. Looking at her, so many thoughts run through his head as she spoke in a pleading tone,

"Please Robin, I don’t want to drink wine."

Robin started at her with dismay and suspicion. Lifting one of the wine glasses to his mouth, Zayla walked up to them and said, "Darling, if she doesn’t want it, I’ll drink."

Both Sabrina and Robin stilled. Did Zayla want to kill her child? At that moment, all she thought of doing, was gaining a little attention to herself but not for once did she think about her condition.

Robin’s lips pursed. When he opened it again, his gaze on her was serious, he asked, "Zayla, did you forget that you are pregnant?"

Zayla’s face reddened from so much embarrassment; she could have buried herself should a hole have been dug for her. Her envy towards Sabrina seemed to have wiped her sense of thinking.

"I did not know that it contained alcohol. I want something nonalcoholic," she said awkwardly and Robin turned to another waiter, saying, "Please get her something non-alcoholic."

"Yes Mr. Jewel," the waiter nodded and left. Robin returned his attention to Sabrina, no longer intending to force her due to how she kept shivering. Whereas a thought had formed in his mind concerning this matter.

"Well, if you won’t drink, I’ll just drink it for you," Robin gulped down the drinks in the two wine glasses, one after the other. "Let’s not keep Bright waiting," he held Sabrina’s hand after dropping the two empty glasses on an empty tray one of the waiters held.

Zayla’s fingers were digging in her palms, by the way Robin held his ex-wife. He had not cared for the waiter to return with her drink before leaving. Lucky for her, she was not the only uncomfortable one in this situation. Martin grabbed Sabrina by the other arm.

"What if I take her? She is my girlfriend, you know?"

Zayla was nodding her head in agreement but Robin glared at Martin, feeling that it was time to put him in his place. Robin was quite close to the Borough president due to his amazing charitable deeds.

Those acts earned him the privilege to be among the VIP guests privy to cut the cake with the Borough President. Martin had not reached that level since most of his expenditure had to be approved by his sister.

Robin thought that it was time to put Martin in his place as revenge for the embarrassment he caused in front of the media. "The only reason she is getting this deal is because he saw a similar one on Zayla’s neck so this is my referral and I get a cut from her commission. At least for overbilling me," Robin said before dragging Sabrina away with a smirk on the corner of his lips.

Martin’s hands balled into fists, his gaze darkened, whiles Zayla lowered her head and went to her table. Devin had watched everything unfold from a distance and was incredibly worried. He walked to Martin and whispered, "What happened?"

"I think he’s trying to get back at me," Martin replied in a bittertone. Devin’s gaze darkened but since the swap in who Sabrina’s fake boyfriend should be, his power was limited.

Besides, he did not want to put up any stunt for the media to reveal his identity. That would as well ruin everything. All their plans are to make Robin hate Sabrina, so he won’t suspect when her pregnancy began to show that he was the father of her unborn child.

"I could punch him in the face right now but that would only raise suspicions. Lie low. As soon as the necklace is sold, get her out of there," Devin advised before looking around and signaling his second kid sister,

"Lizzy, you should stay close to Sabrina for payments and more jewelry."

Lizzy nodded her head, following where Robin had taken Sabrina when someone blocked her way.

"Hi, we meet again. can I get your name?" Daniel smiled and asked her. It seemed like the night was destined to be a bad one. At first, it was Robin, and now, it was his best friend.

Chapter 44: Chapter 44 – Grateful for Robin’s help

Lizzy recalled everything Sabrina told her about Daniel including the fact that he was interested in her. Well, Lizzy was not even considering his friendship. Not wanting to be far from Sabrina should in case her assistance for her big sister was needed, she said,

"Sorry, I’m very busy right now. I have to be with my sister."

Oh no, Lizzy regretted it as soon as the word left her mouth. If this guy knew, then Robin was also bound to find out soon and she did not know how to take back her words because Daniel heard it clearly, and asked,

"Sabrina is your sister?"

Lizzy smiled awkwardly before finding the perfect excuse. "A sister from another mother. You know, like best friends?"

Daniel did not believe her but neither did he let it show. There were similarities between the sisters which he was surprised to have noticed before. Perhaps it was because of Lizzy’s makeup the first time he saw her with Sabrina or because they both had blonde hair but now, it was obvious.

’Why is she lying?’ Daniel wondered before quickly asking, by how Lizzy seemed to be in a hurry, "So, what is your name?"

"Sorry I don’t have one," Lizzy said sternly, not wanting to entertain him to give him false hope. Daniel was taken aback by the sudden rudeness but followed when Lizzy began to walk away.

"Hey, don’t be mean,"

Devin pulled Daniel to a stop to keep him from following Lizzy, his voice stern and he said, "Dude, you left your girlfriend and you are chasing another. Have you no respect for women? I suggest you take care of your woman and leave mine alone."

He shoved the woman into his arms, making Daniel frown. When he walked in with a woman, Devin saw it so when he began being a nuisance to Lizzy, Devin merely went to get the woman he came with, and brought her to him. Problem solved.

Whereas, Daniel was pissed to have missed the opportunity to get Lizzy’s name. "Now you got my attention. Did you dump Sabrina or she dumped you? Isn’t it interesting how you both hooked up so quickly? Can anyone explain your relationship with the two women to me? I’m lost here," he accused directly.

Both Devin and Martin were out of ideas on how to get out of the situation but Daniel’s little whore saved the situation when she said to Daniel,

"Dan, let’s go and dance."

"Shut up bitch, I’m busy. If you don’t behave, I won’t pay you!" Daniel snarled with fury lacing his tone, the girl bowed her head in embarrassment. Devin used the opportunity to say,

"You indeed have no respect for women. Excuse us."

Daniel did not stop them since he had spotted Lizzy behind Sabrina. He went to whisper something to one of the highly respected businessmen with the Borough president and smirked.

At the high table, the Borough President, upon seeing Robin approach his table with Sabrina, asked two of his family members to excuse them for a while. Sabrina was given a seat close to Mrs. Bright, the wife of Mr. Bright, while Robin sat opposite Sabrina.

Good choice of a sitting place for him, as he took in her appearance very well, admitting that his ex-wife was extremely beautiful. She was not wearing too much makeup but garnered so much stun.

"Can you tell us, Mrs. Jewel, everything about the necklace you are wearing?" Mr. Bright, the Borough President asked her.

Sabrina was a little startled upon being addressed by her ex-husband’s name. She made the correction, "First of all, the name is Miss Sabrina James and I work as the Deputy CEO of JC Minerals."

Sabrina took the opportunity to sell her father’s company but Mr. Bright and everyone at the high table including Robin, were astonished by the revelation.

"Wow, I thought you were selling it like an individual. In this case, I will like to give you a pool of customers. What do you think about that?" Mr. Bright asked with a soft smile while he glanced at Robin, who nodded his head.

Sabrina was slightly confused, not understanding how things could move so fast at a birthday party. "If I may ask, how are you going to do that sir?" She asked politely.

Mr. Bright chuckled, "You must be new in the business field to ask that question so how did you achieve such a big position?"

Sabrina was embarrassed by the question. If she said the company was her dad’s, then Robin would easily get every information on her and her whole family including her relationship with Devin.

Now she realized that lying was not easy. Moreso, it was very difficult to keep up with. Words failed her this time. "Ehmmm," she forced a smile.

"She’s been hardworking," Robin put in a word for her, seeing her unease. His gaze though, was full of suspicion.

With Robin responding on her behalf, Mr. Bright did not probe further and asked instead, "Before I make the announcement and get business links, how much is the jewelry you are selling?"

"How much do you intend to buy it for?" Sabrina asked in return, everyone at the table frowned.

Seeing the confusion on their faces, Robin put in a word for her again, "My wife has an interesting way of selling her products. What she means is, whatever amount you put on the necklace is the value you give to the woman you are buying it for. For your information, the starting price is 1.5million."

Sabrina smiled with gratitude but could not understand Robin’s reasons for helping her out. It was clear how his words carried power and everyone would immediately accede to it.

"Miss James, due to the relationship I have with your husband, I mean, ex-husband, I would love to give you the audience but since my wife is interested in the one you are wearing, I want to know if you have more," Mr. Bright asked.

Sabrina was surprised at how fast things were moving with Robin helping out.

"Please give me a minute," Sabrina said before calling out, "Lizzy!"

Lizzy went behind her and gave her the remaining three necklaces displayed on a tray, each of them cushioned with small fancy pillows.

The businessman Daniel had whispered something earlier, recalled it at the sight of Lizzy, thereby drawing her attention, "Excuse me, Lizzy, right? Are you her assistant?" He asked.

Lizzy smiled. It was time to sell her brother’s company too. "I’m Lizzy James, deputy CEO of JC Clothing lines. I designed her dress."

Jaws dropped at the revelation and the business man was even more amazed. "Wow, such a talent. Can I have your business card? For future business, I mean."

"Of course," Lizzy said and gave him her business card. Sabrina almost bragged that Lizzy was her sister, except that Robin was there.

Unknown to her, Robin had already taken keen notice of the surnames as well as their resemblance. He also took notice of the name to investigate later. If Sabrina could read minds, then she would have changed her strategy.

Chapter 45: Chapter 45 –Robin stuns the party

Chapter 45 – Robin stuns the party

At the same time, the businessman passed Lizzy’s card to Daniel, who was grinning like a fool? ’Gotcha,’ he smirked while reading the details of the call card. There were so many around getting what he wanted, so long as he did not give up.

"So, Mrs. Jewel, if you are okay, then I will announce your business to all my guests," Mr. Bright proposed. He was doing it all in appreciation for all the help Robin offered him before.

"I am very grateful," Sabrina said politely. Mr. Bright immediately called everyone’s attention by signaling the MC to change the music to a slow one. Those who were dancing before stopped and everyone gave their attention to the high table.

"Everyone, an amazing woman is sitting beside my wife and as you all know, her name is Mrs. Sabrina Jewel, the ex-wife of my good friend, Robin Jewel. You can all attest that she has a very stunning diamond around her neck and she has a unique way of selling it."

He gave the microphone to Sabrina and said, "Your turn."

Sabrina took the microphone, a little awkwardly as she had not prepared a public speech. However, she also knew that most of the things happening would be on the lips of the media the next day, for which reason she could not embarrass herself and her father’s company.

Rising to her feet, she put on a mask of confidence, and her shyness was thrown to the back as she said,

"Thank you for giving me this opportunity, Mr. President. First of all, I go by Sabrina James now and I am the deputy CEO of JC Minerals. So, the rules for buying this jewelry are very simple. The necklace on my neck is 1.5 million but that is only the starting price. I believe a lot of men would want to buy one for their special women so whatever amount you buy it for, is the value you put on the woman you are buying it for."

The guests at the party broke into murmurs before a voice rose above them all. The party was attended by billionaires and millionaires so almost everyone could afford it. The only problem was how much they would put on it or how far they would go to get it.

"I will buy it for 3 million," somebody said from the crowd, and before Sabrina could speak, Mr. Bright spoke through another microphone,

"Sorry guys, I forgot to add that since my wife’s favorite color is red, I will buy the necklace she is wearing for 10 million."

"15 million," somebody said from the crowd when Sabrina said,

"I’m very sorry but this particular one is gone. It’s not for sale anymore, because it’s my gift to the President on his birthday. Since he can’t wear it. It directly goes to his wife."

Removing the necklace from her neck, she clipped it to the neck of Mrs. Bright. Everyone was shocked because she just gave out the necklace for free when someone was ready to pay 15 million for it.

"Thank you," Mrs. Bright grinned, rose, and kissed Sabrina on the cheek, before hugging her. Mr. Bright gazed at Robin and said,

"Your ex-wife is quite generous and how wonderful for my wife to receive my birthday gift on my behalf," he smiled in awe.

Robin had to agree that Sabrina’s strategy was an excellent one. He never expected an amateur woman among old business foxes would use this method. "It’s a birthday gift and your wife deserves it," Robin said with a smile.

Lizzy clipped a green diamond to Sabrina’s neck while she addressed the guests again, "Everyone, the red diamond is gone but this is equally beautiful, and the same rule applies," she said into the microphone.

Her confidence was growing so fast from the way most people were enthused about the necklace.

"15 million," the same billionaire from before said then he added, "My wife’s birthday is in a week and I know she would love it. We have been married for thirty years but I can’t go beyond 15 million though I would have wished to buy it for 30," he said honestly. He was a man of dignity in his late fifties.

Sabrina was moved by his speech but did not know how to address him since she did not have his name.

"Mr...."

"Clark," he quickly added. Sabrina had quieted down the other potential buyers before addressing him politely,

"Mr. Clark, this necklace is yours."

Lizzy quickly unclipped it, placed it into a luxury case, and took it to the man after swiping his card. When she returned, she wore the purple necklace for Sabrina. Devin was watching his sister proudly and Martin was simply amazed. Determination was a strong motivation for a woman like Sabrina and she was handling things tactfully.

"This is the fourth of the JC exclusive collections. Anyone?" Sabrina called out, opening the floor once again for the banter bargain.

"17 million," a billionaire said from the crowd.

"20 million," an elegant-looking woman said. She noticed that the billionaire was about to raise the bid when she added, "Please wait. I’m buying it for my mum as a Mother’s Day present and 20 million is my last. I wish I could go beyond though but that would break my bank account."

Hearing her talk about Mother’s Day, Sabrina missed her mum and her eyes were a little glassy. She beheld the woman with a profound smile and said, "Then it’s yours!"

A tear dropped from the woman’s eyes. She was struggling with what to buy for her mother but purple caught her attention since it was her mother’s favorite color and she knew she had to get it by every means. Lizzy went around her duties again.

When she returned, she wore the yellow diamond for Sabrina and due to her blonde hair, it radiated magically under the fancy lights. Sabrina looked like the star of the night, standing there like that but had no idea.

"25 million," a billionaire said before Sabrina could utter a word.

"30," another billionaire said.

"This is the last piece of our exclusive collections and this design would no longer be produced," Sabina reminded them.

"40 million," the first billionaire raised the margin.

"It’s...." Sabrina was about to say it’s yours when Robin said,

"50 million."

Zayla smiled. Robin was going to buy her another necklace in addition to the first one. Sabrina was unhappy but so were Martin and Devin, they did not plan to let Robin win.
