Ch. 96..100: The Rogue is a Female Alpha chapter 96-100

Back Where 96

He drove the final thrust inside me, and I felt him. His release warming me from within. For a long moment, we didn’t move, just breathing hard, staring at one another, lips inches apart.

He stood there, towering above me while I sat perched on the table, my hands steady on him with his hard length buried inside me.

We had lost each other once again, yet now, here we were right in the council meeting chamber. A place considered sacred, yet neither of us cared. If our lust ever reached its peak in the presence of the Moon Goddess, I wouldn’t hold back, and I was certain he wouldn’t either.

Lycannar finally leaned down to kiss my lips. I gripped him tighter, kissing him back, feeling him Manhood going harder inside me.

“Lycan…” I protested against his lips, but in response, he moved again. I breathed shakily, pulling my head back as he slammed into me with relentless force.

I moaned sharply, thighs trembling, hips quivering. His palm cupped my neck, thrusting harder and harder, and my moans echoed shamelessly throughout the chamber. I couldn’t hold back, even if I wanted

to.

At last, his release came, and I fell against him in exhaustion. He held me tight, kissing my hair, palm tenderly patting my back. For a long time, I stayed in his arms, steadying myself, until he finally pulled out, leaving himself inside me.

“You okay?” His gentle voice came softly. I nodded, sighing against his chest. He pulled back, gazing at me before placing a soft kiss on my lips.

I blinked at him, wondering if he was even real. Why does he love me so much? My eyes fell to his chest, where I had slashed. The wound had healed, but the memory of it pained me. I was the one who had inflicted it, and the one who felt it.

I lowered my gaze, pushing him away, angry that he hadn’t defended himself when I attacked. He didn’t speak, only walked to dress. I got down from the table and began dressing as well.

“Can you give me a ride back home?” I asked, putting on my underwear and raking my fingers through my hair, avoiding his gaze.

“Yes.”

“Thanks.” I murmured, moving toward the exit, but he caught my wrist, holding me fast, eyes fixed on mine.

“Who told you I was betrothed?” he asked, curiosity knitting his brow. I pulled my wrist away, emotions still

raw.

“I went to Hue Pack today to get the date and time I will reject Nyroth,” I murmured, gaze lowered. “There he was, with his lover… and we exchanged words. She told me the man I’m head over heels for has a bride.”

I saw his expression shift, a small frown forming.

“Who is she?”

“Kaela Yadev. The one who hijacked the Blackbridge Pack from Luna Thalia.”

“No. I mean, who is she to my Kingdom?” His tone shifted, genuine confusion, an innocence that warmed my heart.

“She said she met your uncle, Lord Dareth.”

He bowed his head, murmuring to himself, frown/deepening.

“Why would My Uncle Dareth go to her?”

“She said he offered her the task to host your beta’s ascension ceremony.”

He exhaled thoughtfully, recalling details.

“The hostess who oversaw my coronation had the stamped royal words to host every festival in my kingdom, right?”

I nodded. He walked away, muttering under his breath.

“I should have killed him when my brother Hades told me to…

He moved toward the exit.

“Chantel?” I raised an eyebrow as his bodyguard approached, head bowed in respect. Was he about to order a death?

“Lycan,” I called. He turned innocently. “What are you going to do?”

“Have him killed,” he said simply. My heart sank.

“Why?”

“Because he’s the reason you cried,” he stated as if it were ordinary in the shifter empire. I stepped toward him, heart racing.

“No. That’s not how you handle things. He’s your blood.”

He stopped, searching my eyes.

“I thought you were there when I said I won’t spare anyone who comes between us.”

“And you gave me your word you wouldn’t kill anyone for me, Lycan.”

He stared at me, jaw set. My frustration spilled over. He seemed unreal, his logic and priorities far removed from mine.

What exactly he feel for me is beyond reasoning. This isn’t love.

“You won’t kill anyone. Do you understand me?”

“Why?”

R

“Lord Dareth is your uncle, and there are more ways to deal with problems than killing.”

After a few seconds, he nodded, gaze lingering on mine as if recalling my words.

“When are you rejecting him?”

He’s asking about Nyroth. I lowered my gaze.

“On the next full moon.”

His expression flickered, replaced almost immediately by calm.

“You’ll… need anything that night, won’t you?”

“I’m not sure yet. I’ll be weak after I reject him.”

He reached for my hand gently, silence stretching between us.

“Thank you,” I whispered, swallowing the lump in my throat.

“I’ll go say hello to your sisters and meet you at the Royal stable soon,” I added.

“Alright.”

I walked out, heading toward the healing wing to bid farewell to his sisters, who had always been sweet to me. My journey back to Ash Pack was set. By this time tomorrow, I would be in my birthright pack. ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ Find[ɴ]ovel.net

And yet… a nagging thought lingered. I wondered how my Lycan King would react to my departing words, and even more… how he would respond when the truth of my real identity was finally revealed. Would it shatter him, or would he bend the world to stand by me, as he always had?

Back Where 97They bowed as I walked past, their respect palpable. The healing wing was tidy and serene when I arrived, a quiet contrast to the storm in my heart. I made my way toward the hall where I had met Princess Mearez the other day, only for the door to open before I could reach it.

Princess Serena stepped out, flanked by her usual two maids carrying scrolls. They looked urgent and busy, yet the moment she saw me, she froze.

“Zephyrine?” she called, a bright smile lighting her face as she circled her fingers around my wrist. “Have you met my baby brother?”

I smiled at her usual way of referring to Lycannar, the man who had left me breathless, my body aching for him. To Serena, he was the baby brother; to me, he was everything else.

“I came to speak with you and Princess Mearez,” I said softly. Her brow furrowed in curiosity, but without another word, she gently pulled me toward the hall she had just exited, speaking over her shoulder to her maids.

“Go on. I will catch up with you both later.”

“Alright, Princess Serena,” they answered in unison and left.

Inside the hall that opened into a chamber, I found Princess Mearez busy preparing a potion with three of her students, all diligently focused. I paused for a few seconds, watching. These were skills Olivia, Nyroth’s sister, had long failed to acquire despite her efforts in every healing school in the werewolf world.

“Mearez?” her sister called softly, but she held up a hand, buying herself minutes. “It’s Zephyrine.”

Her palm lowered, and she turned to face me fully. The warmth in her gaze immediately stirred something inside me. I crossed the distance and embraced her, a rare gesture on my part. I had thought it would be easy, but now I realized it was far from that.

“Leave us,” Princess Mearez ordered her students, who obeyed and closed the door, leaving just the three of

us.

I stepped back, sighing shakily, their eyes full of curiosity and wonder.

“What’s wrong, love?” Princess Mearez asked, taking my hand tenderly. “Did Lycannar hurt you?”

“No,” I replied.

Both princesses exchanged relieved glances.

“What’s wrong then?” Serena asked softly.

“I… I have the date and time I will be rejecting my mate,” I announced. Relief washed over them; they had been holding their breath in fear and anticipation.

“That’s good news, Zephyrine,” Serena said. “After breaking the bond, you will finally understand Lycannar’s affection fully.”

I nodded, aware that the mate bond still clouded my senses when I was around Nyroth. After the rejection, clarity would return.

“I am going on a trip,” I continued. “I don’t know when I will be back. You both have been so good to me, and I want you to know you will always be in my heart while I am away.”

A tense silence fell. Princess Mearez’s hand went cold as she let it drop. Serena stared at me for a long moment, unblinking. I sighed shakily.

“Without you around him, Lycannar will lose his senses,” Serena said. “Is this about… are you worried he will choose us over you?”

I blinked at her, caught off guard, while Mearez nudged her gently.

“Serena, stay calm.” Nᴇw ɴovel chaptᴇrs are published on find(ɴ)ovel.net

“No,” Serena countered. “She needs to understand what’s at stake if she leaves my baby brother.”

“I am not leaving him,” I replied firmly, determination clear in my voice. “How do you mean he would choose you both over me?”

The two princesses exchanged a look before Mearez explained.

“My father’s death opened the door to freedom for us. We thought all abuse was over and Lycannar free from manipulation, but we were wrong. He wrote a will. Lycannar is betrothed to a woman of his choosing. Failure to comply… we, his sisters, will be enslaved.”

A chill ran through me.

“Lycannar wasn’t worried about it initially because he has a way of solving problems,” Serena added. I froze.

“Not by killing?”

“That depends on their behavior. But for now, Lycannar is informing my brother Hades. The scroll has the Royal seal and everything is authentic. But you have nothing to worry about,” Mearez reassured me. My knees went weak.

I sank into a wooden chair, staring blankly, my thoughts racing. Even in death, Lycannar’s father had a way to taunt and manipulate. The thought of his sisters being at risk for me… my heart clenched.

“Zephyrine?” Mearez called, and I looked up at her, heart heaving. I walked over and hugged her again, then turned to embrace Serena quietly,

“I am going on a trip, as I said, but this isn’t about leaving Lycannar. It’s about returning to my pack. I will be back before the eve of the full moon. Until then… whatever happens, whatever you hear… know this from me. My heart and body belong to Lycannar.”

Back Where 98

He was waiting for me in the royal stables when I arrived, and without hesitation, I went straight into his arms, surprising even him.

I pressed my lips to his, claiming him before anyone present, letting it be known that it was me who held his heart and no one else.

I pulled back at last to stare into his eyes, and he kissed my temple gently before turning toward his horse. The stableman immediately brought a step for me to mount. I paused, glancing at it and then back to Lycannar’s face. A small, knowing smile tugged at his lips; it seemed he could read my thoughts, feel my

energy.

He remained still as I mounted the horse skillfully, using him as my stool. Perfectly, I seated myself, and the stableman swallowed nervously, in awe at my skill.

“The king pampered her,” I heard someone whisper.

“Don’t you see how skillful she is too?”

Lycannar ignored them all, mounting behind me. My back pressed against his chest, his arms secure around

me.

“Ready?” he asked. I leaned back into him.

“Yes.”

He kicked the horse, and in an instant, we were out of the Lycan Kingdom. The ride home was smooth and fast, and before I realized it, the horse stopped before the pack of white.

Neither of us dismounted immediately. I stayed still, letting the overwhelming feelings wash over me, wondering how he would react to the news of my trip.

Would he ask questions? Be suspicious? Wait?

With my heart heavy, I found his fingers on the reins and slowly entwined mine with his. His palm was warm, larger than mine, and his fingers beautiful, adorned with rings on his pinky and forefinger. Pure gold, powerful, commanding.

“Lycan…” I whispered, and he leaned forward, nuzzling my hair. “Lycan… I… I have to tell you.”

“What?” he asked, kissing my hair while lifting it from my neck to place a soft kiss there.

I sighed, my body responding to his touch.

“Uhm… actually… it’s nothing that serious.” I stopped mid–thought.

Why was I scared? Because I feared his anger and I never knew what he was like when mad. Lycannar had never truly been angry at me. How would he be if he were?

“Lycannar… I am going on a trip.”

He stiffened instantly. The warmth behind me seemed to vanish. I expected words, but he dismounted and stepped forward, staring at me as I looked away, swallowing hard.

Silence fell, thick and suffocating. His gaze alone made it worse. Slowly, I dismounted and turned to face him, my heart racing.

“My love…” I reached for him, but he stepped back, eyes unreadable. “Lycan…”

“Where are you going?” he asked, direct, unyielding.

“Lycannar…” I called softly, then swallowed. “It’s… it’s important that I go, and I don’t want to leave without saying goodbye.”

“Goodbye?” he asked again, and I quickly corrected myself.

“I will return before the full moon. This isn’t a final goodbye, my love.”

He stared, his usual frown softening but still present.

“You don’t want to tell me why you have to go or Where you are going,” he said.

I swallowed hard.

“I have no intention of keeping secrets from you, and…” I stepped forward to take his hand. “I have no intention of lying to you.”

“Then tell me where you are going,” he demanded again, but this time his voice was softer, almost pleading.

I looked at him long before replying

“I am going home. I am taking my parents‘ ashes back. They do not belong in the public memorial hall, and I do not truly belong in White Pack.”

A long silence fell, choking me. Finally, he spoke, more as a request than a question. This text is hosted at FιndNovel.net

“I swear on my

“You will think of me?”

“It’s hard not to.”

“No man will touch you?”

I nodded.

“My nakedness is yours, Lycan. No man will ever see me without clothes except you.”

He said nothing further. Swallowing hard, he lowered his gaze, then pulled back to his horse. His movements were unusual, controlled, deliberate. I saw him shift briefly, then regain his normal form.

“Lycan…” I called in concern. He paused, jaw set, before looking up at me. Something was off, but he was still

himself.

“Tell me again that you will come back,” he demanded, his voice deep, edged with the growl of his beast. I nearly cried.

I stepped forward, cupping his face and pressing my lips fully to his.

“Before the full moon, I will return to you. I swear it.” I broke the kiss, breathing shakily. “But I won’t return to be your mistress, Lycannar, nor your concubine, nor your second choice. I will return to claim you.”

It was late at night when I arrived at the memorial hall to retrieve my parents‘ ashes, accompanied by Blue, Dessyn, and Moon. I had already bid farewell to Nathan, Dessyn’s father, and Alpha Auedric half an hour.

ago.

This was where our paths diverged, for the other road led to Ash Pack. I stepped out of the memorial hall, clutching the vessel tightly, and carefully set it down in my carriage. Newest update provided by Find~Novel.net

With a heavy heart, I turned back to Dessyn. She fought hard to hold back her tears, and I understood why. This was the first step toward finding her beloved, my brother. Gently, I took her hand and gazed into her

eyes.

“I will be back before the full moon. Until then, you must be safe and be strong.”

She nodded, swallowing hard.

“You’ll send a letter, won’t you?”

I didn’t respond. Instead, I pulled her into a hug, rubbing her back gently. Stepping back, I turned to Moon, but before I could speak, he pulled me into a tight embrace.

“Take care of yourself, Zephyr,” he said, his voice desperate. I held him tighter, letting the warmth of his presence linger before he finally released me. I sighed softly, turning toward the carriage. Blue lifted my dress carefully, making me comfortable as I settled in.

“Be safe,” Dessyn whispered again, bidding farewell to Blue before taking her place beside me. A Lycan accompanying me to Ash Pack.

The carriage moved swiftly, and I tried to still my emotions, focusing on the path ahead. But as the memorial hall faded behind us, a growing ache filled my chest, unbearable and sharp.

The warmth I had carried all this time felt replaced by something bitter, an emptiness that pressed against my ribs.

“Stop the carriage,” I commanded suddenly, and it was obeyed immediately.

I stepped down, eyes scanning the darkness ahead. And then I saw him.

Lycannar.

He stood at a distance, his silhouette unmistakable. My breath hitched, my heart bleeding with longing. I had expected him to ride forward, to call me back, but it was as if he had come only to witness my departure. No final goodbye. The one we had was already heavy enough.

Before my eyes, he turned his horse and galloped into the night, and my chest tightened as though he had taken my joy, my warmth, and all the parts of me that made me who I was.

I realized then I was no longer the same girl who had left Ash Pack five years ago. I had changed, grown, become more.

I had believed leaving my pack was futile, but I was wrong. I had lost Nyroth, yes, but I had found someone worth it. A king. A true lover.

The sound of Ash Pack’s massive gates opening woke Blue. She had leaned over my shoulder and dozed off, but under the bright morning sun, she opened her eyes to witness greatness before her.

The gates swung wide, and our carriage rode in, passing the long lane, the sacred fountain, and finally stopping before the massive, jaw–dropping building of Ashmere.

Word of my return had spread before I arrived, and I could feel it in the air. Preparations had been made.

I carried the moonstone vessels with care. Jurrek Bane was the first to step forward, extending his palm for me to take as I alighted, standing before warriors, survivors of battles who had endured and prevailed.

All heads bowed, including my aunty’s and Jurrek Bane’s, the great Beta of Ash Pack. Goosebumps prickled my skin as the breeze, the looks, and the respect all felt different. I had been gone for five years, and seeing Ash Pack thriving warmed my heart.

I turned toward the building and headed inside. The hallways stretched endlessly, the walls impenetrable, torches burning along the walls, guards kneeling as I passed.

I took a familiar turn and entered the memorial hall, where the ashes of our greatest warriors rested before their funerals. With my heart thudding, I placed my parents‘ moonstone vessels in their rightful place.

For a long while, I knelt there, letting the emotions surge. Then I rose and walked out, passing through the hall in silence. When I reached my quarters, I paused to swallow. The threshold no man could cross uninvited.

“A dinner will be set for you, my lady. We are celebrating your return, and the elders request a word,” Jurrek said, bowing deeply.

I nodded.

“You and I also will have words. Only you and I,” I replied, and I saw him swallow, understanding my meaning.

“Yes, my lady,” he said, bowing again. I turned away and entered my chamber. The vast, familiar space of the only daughter of a warlord.

My parents had pampered me, given me everything. Varyn had done the same. Their training had been harsh but wise, and I had excelled at every challenge.

Now I stood in the same chamber where I had grown up, and memories flowed back unbidden.

“Milady,” Isolde, head of my maids and court ladies, came forward to bow. “I can’t believe you’re back.”

I let my gaze linger on her for a moment, then turned to the other maids, who stood silently, waiting for my command.

The warning my brother had given came back sharply. No one could be trusted. He had been betrayed on the battlefield, cornered with no chance to retreat. Even retreat was unthinkable for an Ashmere.

I turn to the maids who were speaking silently, and the rest of the words froze on their lips.

“Address the Lycan King with respect if you want to speak about him.” I said quietly and gently turned to beckon at Blue. “She is my personal maid, and she will stay here.”

My maids exchanged glances, and Isolde walked ahead to speak carefully.

“But Milady… there is no chamber left for a new maid, and also… a Lycan in a werewolf pack will need permission to…”

“I will talk to my love about it.” I cut her off with a small smile and added, “Blue will stay here. I mean in my chamber. No need to make a room for her. I will take my bath.”

Isolde stared at me in awe, and I saw her face flush. Gently she nodded and walked to open the bath chamber door wide. Yes, I realized she was faithful. They had truly made preparations.

Slowly I stepped into it. My eyes fell on the large bath pool and the massive symbol of Ashmere right on the wall. Dresses were neatly arranged at the side, and candles burned softly at each angle. Somehow, I could only remember one person. One man.

When the tender fingers of Isolde came to undress me, I could only stare at the water, memories taking me down the path. Lycannar and I had made love in his bath chamber, and he had taken everything I am.

My dress fell down my feet, and I stepped into the water, the soothing softness making me sigh. How much I had missed home. How much I had missed it.

For a long time, I lowered my eyelids to savor the moment, and when I fluttered them open, it was because of Isolde’s hands on me, bathing me. I allowed her. It was her task, but on the other hand, while I missed Blue’s touch, I relaxed in the familiar touch of Isolde too.

An elderly, smart, beautiful woman. With her hair braided just like the rest of the maids, she carried the air of their leader.

“I have bathed you every day for a long time, but after returning after five years… your body has changed.” Her whisper came softly to my ear as she cleaned my breast. “It’s more tender and more swollen. You mentioned the word ‘love‘ a while ago. Milady, do you have a man in your life now?”

That question hung in the air, and I swallowed hard.

“You all will know soon. Before then, you can listen to the rumors.”

“Don’t remove it.” I commanded, my tone harsher than I intended, and she paused, froze. A few seconds later, I regretted it.

Isolde had moved to pull out my ring, the one Lycannar had gifted me, and I snapped.

“It’s the purest gold I have ever seen. But then again, this isn’t among the jewelry an Ashmere must wear, Milady.”

Silence descended immediately in the chamber. Everyone froze, even I, finally said it but before they could recover, I rose from where I sat.

With the court ladies behind me, I headed out of my chamber, but then I paused when I noticed Blue wasn’t coming. I turned to see her in a new dress I had picked for her. Her hair wasn’t braided like the Ashmere maids.

She is a Lycan, and I wouldn’t let her change herself or try to blend in. I wanted it to be known that it is okay to stand out. That she is from another species, another kind, but yet we can coexist.

I beckoned at her with my gaze, and at once she rushed forward, her head now bowed.

“Stay behind me and never leave.” I said softly, and she nodded.

“Yes, My lady.”

I made my way out of my quarter and arrived at the threshold to see Jurrek waiting.

“My lady,” he said softly. “The dinner is ready, and

everyone awaits.” Newest update provided by FindN0vel.net

I nodded my head, and he shifted his gaze to Blue, and without words, he led the way toward the large, long dining hall.

A very long table stood in the middle, chairs around it each occupied by my family and my elders. All stood immediately as I walked in, eyes fixed on me,

My aunty sat ahead, my mother’s younger sister, Kostyra, and beside her was her husband, Lord Yua. Beside Lord Yua, to the end, were a few of my relatives that remained, while across them sat the representative elders from Ash Pack,

The hall was heavily guarded. Warriors like guards stood at each corner in attention. Maids were in attendance, and the table was filled with a lot of different dishes I could ever think of.

I walked ahead toward the chair, and Jurrek pulled it out for me to settle. Only then did everyone sit down. Silence fell after that, and my eyes fell on the meal.

Somehow I found myself swallowing hard. It looked delicious, and the aroma was tempting, but I killed the distraction by looking away just when a voice came through.

“A Lycan in the pack. With you, Zephyrine. Maybe the rumors aren’t false after all.” My aunty’s voice. Kostyra and I slowly looked up at her.

She flashed me a sweet smile, just like she had always done. And before I would have meekly replied in kind, instead I asked curtly,

“What do the rumors say?”

Silence fell at my tone, and I read the room. They had all expected the cheerful woman, but who they met was different.

“They said you are the Lycan King’s mistress,” one of the elders said, and I looked at him in silence. “If you really want to be the first female Alpha, you will have to earn it by being respectful. You can’t lay in bed with anyone.”

I lowered my gaze at his words, and a sigh fell from my lips. His uncle had insulted me once, and Lycannar had retaliated by stabbing a fork in his hand. This elder of mine had just addressed Lycannar as ‘anyone. He needed to pay.

“Jurrek?” I called, and he walked forward, leaning to hear me, but my voice was loud enough for everyone to hear the warning.

“Have him strip off his title and status.”

Clatter!

I heard it immediately my order was given, and Jurrek bowed obediently.

In a twinkle of an eye, the elder who had been unfortunate fell on his knees and crawled over, begging.

“My lady, spare me! I beg you.”

His voice echoed in the chamber, but I looked up toward everyone, ignoring him, for there would be no forgiveness for those who call Lycannar’s name in vain.

“First new rule. Lycannar Blood won’t be disrespected. If his name must be called, it is solely with utmost respect. Second rule. No one should mention Varyn, my brother’s name. He is dead. We will give up every search on him. After five years, it is only my parents‘ ashes I found, and that is enough. And lastly… the wait is over. Bring forth the priestess, prepare the rituals.
