Ch. 16..20: The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride Chapter 16-20
Chapter 16: Act as a wife
Alora cautiously peered into the bedroom, puzzled not to find Magnus inside. "Is His Highness not here?" she whispered to herself in confusion.
Unbeknownst to her, Magnus stood behind her, his head slightly above hers, and he curiously joined in, asking, "What are you searching for?"
Startled, Alora swiftly turned around, her face beaming with excitement. "Your Highness!" she exclaimed, her demeanor suggesting she held joyful news to share with him.
"Yes?" Magnus asked.
"I found a pond with many swans in it," Alora replied.
"So? What's there to be happy about it?" Magnus asked and he walked past her to go inside his bedroom. "Also, how long were you in the garden? I think the pond is quite far," he muttered, recalling the last time he visited it.
"I never saw swans," Alora said and started explaining everything to Magnus.
Magnus was not truly interested in that kind of conversation, but he understood Alora's enthusiasm to talk to him. He removed the long coat and it landed somewhere on the floor.
Alora quickly picked it up and told him not to throw his clothes like that.
"You act like a wife," Magnus remarked and slightly turned to face her to see her reaction. She was definitely bewildered hearing him and knitted her brows close.
"I don't think I can ever be someone's wife," Alora pronounced and folded the coat.
'Why is she naive? Can't she see I'm interested in her?' Magnus thought.
"Soon, you will marry someone," Magnus replied and settled on the mattress. His head rested on the hoverboard as he saw her quietly setting the coat on the surface of the table.
"No one is going to marry me," Alora replied in a low voice. "I have to live alone all my life and then die alone," she murmured.
"Come here," Magnus asked her to join him on the bed.
"I am good here, Your Highness," Alora said.
"Do you wish me to carry you here?" Magnus quipped.
Alora was quick to reach bed and sat near Magnus' feet.
"I can turn you if you wish to live for eternity," Magnus stated, "but the process is going to be painful," he warned her.
"I don't wish to live a long life," Alora answered. "I just pray that in my next life, I get to feel the love of a family, a man, and have kids with him," she asserted while giving out a tiny smile.
"Are you sure you'll find none in this life?" Magnus inquired.
"Yes. I cannot live a life wearing a blindfold with my husband, Your Highness," Alora stated.
'You don't even see that I can be your husband. Strange!' Magnus thought and his face tightened as he felt annoyed. 'She called me a sweet gentleman, but she cannot see me as her husband.'
"Your Highness, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to live with you in the Palace of Velaris. I think I'll not be able to roam as freely as I did here," Alora said. She wished to live in Elmswood, far from the place, where nobody knew her well.
"You should go to your room and have dinner before going to bed. We will leave in the early morning," Magnus suggested to her.
"Does His Highness want to sleep early?" Alora asked.
"No. I wish you to rest well," Magnus answered. "Tomorrow, you've to see a lot of things," he asserted.
"Sure. Your Highness, what about your food? Have you drunk the blood lately?" Alora asked.
"After drinking yours, I didn't. I'll drink after reaching Velaris," Magnus answered.
"Since His Highness has done a lot for me, he can drink from me. His Highness also needs strength," Alora said while being serious.
"I don't wish to drink yours," Magnus stated. "I will surely drink from you when you'll be healthy enough in my eyes," he added. "Now you shall go or do you wish to sleep with me?" He grinned with a teasing glance.
"No!" Alora refused promptly. She bowed to him and ran out of his bedroom.
Magnus chuckled and lay down on the bed.
Alora only stopped upon reaching her bedroom. "The Prince doesn't even think before speaking such things," she mumbled and poured a glass of water for herself.
"Miss Alora, have you put on your blindfold?" Cecilia asked from outside.
"Not yet," Alora said and quickly donned the blindfold. She informed about the same to Cecilia, who finally entered the room.
"Miss Alora, I have an important matter to discuss with you," Cecilia said.
"Yes, sure. Please take a seat," Alora humbly offered.
Cecilia settled on the chair next to the bed and thanked her. "Miss Alora, since we are returning to Velaris, I suggest you convince the prince to drop you at your home instead of taking you to the palace," she asserted.
Alora was puzzled to hear Cecilia. "Why?"
"The palace isn't for the humans. Here, things were different, Miss Alora. However, in the kingdom's chief palace, you'll encounter the whole royal family. Do you think the King and the Queen will let you stay beside their beloved son?" Cecilia made Alora contemplate.
"I understand," Alora answered.
"Miss Alora should also know that she would be a constant attention to many because she's not a normal human. The Prince is merely attracted to you because of your eyes. If you didn't have such destructive eyes, Prince Magnus wouldn't even have looked at you," Cecilia proclaimed.
Whatever Cecilia said was somewhat true. Because Magnus found out about her eyes, he kept Alora before her. 'But my father doesn't want me to be at home? What shall I do?' Alora thought.
"Can you please arrange a carriage for me and send me to the old residence of Elmswood with the servant, who came from my home?" Alora requested.
"I will. After dinner, I'll send Miss Alora to her father's old home with the servant," Cecilia stated.
Alora thanked her and passed a tiny smile. 'I think my disappearance is the best for the others. I am happy I could spend these two days with Prince Magnus,' she thought in her mind.
Chapter 17: Alora's doe eyes and innocent face
Alora delicately dabbed the napkin across her lips, sipping the water before setting the glass on the table.
"Thank you for the food," she expressed her gratitude, then proceeded to don the blindfold. Having already signaled with a bell, the servants entered with Cecilia.
"Miss Alora, the carriage is ready for you," Cecilia informed her after the other servants had departed.
Alora nodded and she walked with Cecilia, who had her securely held her arm. After several minutes, they were out, at the gate, which was hardly used by the prince.
Alora's heart raced as Cecilia's scream echoed, stirring panic within her.
"What happened, Cecilia?" Alora asked anxiously, unable to see and unable to remove her blindfold.
Magnus's voice cut through the tension, "Who do you think you are to go against my decision?" Alora could sense Cecilia's distress as Magnus tightened his grip around her neck, lifting her into the air.
Alora's fear gripped her and she pleaded with Magnus to release Cecilia. "It was my decision to–" Her words faltered upon hearing a thud as if someone had fallen to the floor.
"Did His Highness ki-kill Cecilia?" Alora asked with a trembling voice.
"Yes, I did, and I'll kill everyone who tries to make you leave my life," Magnus declared with a menacing expression, showing the repercussions of going against his order.
Magnus grabbed Alora's arm and dragged her inside the palace and only stopped on reaching his bedroom. In one swift motion, he pulled away her blindfold and cradled her neck.
"Who told you to leave?" Magnus was angry, but he still kept it in control.
"I-I thought if I would head to the palace with Prince Magnus, then he might fall into danger. And I cannot live in my home with my family anymore. So, I decided to head to my father's old residence," Alora said with tears emerging in her eyes.
"You are lucky that I cannot kill you, Alora," Magnus's voice softened. "Any other person at your place would have been dead by now," he asserted, causing Alora to gulp in fear.
"Did His Highness really kill Cecilia? It wasn't her fault." Tears streamed down her cheeks as she somehow felt she again become the reason for someone's death.
Magnus was annoyed for a moment, thinking why Alora had to be so kind to the person who wanted to keep her away from him. "Stop crying for a useless person," he stated.
Alora pursed her lips together as she sniffled and held her tears back.
Magnus pulled his hand back from her neck and turned his back to her. He took deep breaths to calm himself. Alora's doe eyes and innocent face had somehow become his weakness. He was supposed to punish Alora too, but he could not do that.
"You can't leave me no matter what happens. I will let it go this time. But it's the last time you repeated such a mistake," Magnus announced and turned around to check on her.
Alora nodded at him and decided to put on the blindfold. As she brought her hands to her eyes, Magnus held them. "You don't have to wear it," he affirmed and the next moment, he lifted her in his arms.
Alora protested as she urged him to put her down so she could walk with her perfect legs.
"You aren't leaving this room tonight," Magnus stated and took her to his bed. As he settled her on it, he swiftly shifted to her feet. The sandals on her feet were already removed and placed on the ground.
"I cannot sleep here. It will be considered–" She couldn't finish off her remaining sentence as Magnus's index finger pressed on her lips.
"Don't make me angry, Alora. Just sleep here. I'm not going to do anything to you since you do not even consider me a man," Magnus proclaimed.
Alora blinked to hear his statement and lowered her eyes. What did he mean by not considering him a man? Magnus was a full-grown man in her eyes. But Alora didn't wish to infuriate him by speaking this fact.
Gradually, Magnus removed his finger from her lips and a duvet covered her. "Sleep. We need to leave early in the morning," he said and stood up to go to the other side of the bedroom when Alora held his pointer finger.
Magnus lowered his head to glance at her.
"Your Highness, please don't kill anyone because of me. Cecilia should not have died. Also, I apologize for my mistake," she said, feeling terrible.
"You were not the reason behind her death. You think I don't know what she infused in your mind. Cecilia died because she took a wrong decision to send you away," Magnus clarified to her.
Alora let go of his finger. "I understood, Your Highness," she murmured and turned her back to him. Closing her eyes tightly, she cried in the silence not wanting him to hear her.
Magnus was perturbed with the way she had been reacting. Instead of going ahead, he sat beside her. His hand rested on her arm as he tenderly caressed it.
"Alora, look at me," Magnus urged softly.
Alora promptly did that and gazed at him with her teary eyes and face.
"Cecilia wasn't going to send you to the old residence. Instead, she had set a trap to kill you. Don't blame yourself for her death," Magnus revealed the truth to her. Alora was shocked to learn that and she immediately stopped weeping.
"To kill me? But why?" Alora questioned.
"You have special eyes," Magnus answered. "People fear you thinking they may die, doesn't matter if they are humans, vampires, or werewolves. What I did there was right because I don't keep traitors beside me," he explained to her.
Alora was overwhelmed to find out that only Magnus wanted her to live. He didn't even fear her from the moment they both met each other.
"I will never leave His Highness's side. I promise. Until my last breath, I'll stay by his side," Alora pronounced with a firm and determined tone.
Chapter 18: Lower your eyes
Alora looked outside the window as they were finally in the capital, the City of Velaris. She fidgeted with her fingers as she was worried thinking what would happen next.
Magnus, on the other hand, had his eyes on her. He would notice her every reaction and smile within himself. Today, he was going to give Alora the biggest surprise of her life: A surprise that would change her life forever.
Suddenly, the carriage halted, causing Alora to jolt forward. Her hands found Magnus's thighs for support as their eyes locked with each other.
"I'm sorry," Alora quickly shifted back to her seat after apologizing.
That warm touch of Alora's hands on his thighs left Magnus enchanted for a moment. He couldn't believe how her single touch affected his entire body, dissipating its coldness in a moment.
"Are we in the palace?" Alora asked as she peered into his eyes.
Magnus pushed away the curtain on the window and looked outside. "No. We are at your home," Magnus answered and got out of the carriage in a swift moment.
Alora was puzzled thinking if she heard right. What were they doing outside her home? She gulped in fear, pondering what was in Magnus's mind.
Outside, Magnus looked at the front gate of the residence, which was decorated well with flowers. The Wilson Family had been preparing well for their second daughter's marriage.
Tobias stepped up and asked, "Your Highness, did Miss Alora don her blindfold?"
"No," Magnus replied. "Everyone shall lower their eyes. Alora won't wear the blindfold today," Magnus announced.
The guards at the gate trembled to find that Alora returned with the vicious Vampire Prince. One of them ran inside to inform Norman, the lord of the Wilson family.
Magnus extended his hand out for Alora, but he was surprised to see her in the blindfold. He chuckled and brought her outside. The first thing he did was remove her blindfold.
"Your Highness, please," Alora said.
"Let them feel the sufferings you underwent all these years," Magnus affirmed. "Your father challenged me and forced me to be here. You don't have to feel low about your eyes. They are special as I said before," he proclaimed and took a step away from her.
Holding her hand, he walked into the Wilson Residence. Alora kept her eyes down and kept them on their joined hands. 'What does His Highness want?' she thought.
----
Inside the house, Norman agreed to the list of guests who would be present on the day of Venus's marriage. The butler of the house walked away after taking the list while Norman gazed at his mother.
"Everything has turned well," Norman said with a smile.
"I told you once Alora would leave this house, the happiness will return in this house," Madam Aubrey replied. "Now, don't ever let her enter this house. She should not have stayed alive in the first place if you had listened to me that day," she pronounced.
"Mother, I'm sorry for not listening to you all this time," Norman stated.
"Father! Grandma! Look at my dress," Venus excitedly entered the living room of the house. Behind her, her mother Rhea walked in. "How do I look?" she asked, flaunting her wedding gown.
"Oh my goodness! Venus, you look so pretty. May you don't get the evil eyes?" Madam Aubrey complimented her granddaughter's looks. She stood up and walked to Venus, holding her arms gently. "Norman, look at your daughter. She looks no lesser than a princess in this dress." Madam Aubrey didn't have enough words to describe her granddaughter's beauty.
"Indeed, Mother," Norman said with a bright smile.
At that moment, the guard ran into the living room. "Lord Norman! The Vampire Prince is here with Miss Alora," he informed all of them while gasping for air.
Instantly, the smiles vanished from everyone's faces, except Rhea. She was delighted to learn that Alora was back, but why she was with Magnus? That was indeed a matter of concern.
"Magnus Lukeson is here!?" Madam Aubrey remarked with a shocked face.
"Yes, Madam. Also, Miss Alora hasn't worn the blindfold. Prince Magnus has instructed everyone to keep their eyes down. If anyone fails, he will punish us," the guard added the last statement on his own.
"How is it possible for us to keep our eyes low? The Prince must be joking!" Madam Aubrey didn't believe the guard's words.
"Do you wish me to put your eyes down then?" Magnus's deep voice echoed in the living room as he finally entered with Alora.
They all were terrified to hear Magnus's voice and most importantly, to see Alora without the blindfold.
Rhea was so relieved to see her daughter, her eyes welling up with tears.
"Oldie, I may punish you pretty badly if you ever take my name. I hate humans like you. Be happy that I've had to spare your life because of Alora," Magnus warned her.
For the first time in her life, Madam Aubrey felt scared. She apologized to the prince for making him feel disrespected and glanced at Alora, who had her eyes down.
Alora had tightened her hold on Magnus's hand, who turned his head at her. "Let's have a seat and take some rest. The journey was quite long," he stated.
Rhea was surprised to find that her daughter could look into Magnus's eyes. How was that possible?
"Now, everyone shall lower their eyes if they don't wish to die. Don't blame it on Alora then because it will be considered your fault," Magnus pronounced with a stern tone.
"How is that possible, Your Highness?" Norman spoke up. "Alora, cover your eyes," he said while clenching his fists.
In a blink of an eye, Magnus was in front of Norman. His hand was around his neck, the grip wasn't tight though. "Go against my order and I'll kill you. You've already ruined my mood by sending the order from the King," Magnus stated, his eyes turning into a deep shade of red.
"Your Highness, please let my father go," Alora requested in her soft voice.
Instantly, Magnus let Norman go, who faltered a little. "Now, lower your eyes because Alora will have a good look at all of you," Magnus stated.
Norman immediately asked everyone in his family to do so.
Magnus turned to gaze at Alora. "Come here," he asked her.
Alora approached him soon and he made her stand in front of him. Placing his hands on her shoulders, he said, "Take a look at them."
"Can I really do that?" Alora asked.
"Trust me," Magnus said.
Alora lifted her eyes and saw her mother first. Tears formed in her eyes to look at Rhea.
Chapter 19: I intend to marry Alora Wilson
Alora looked at all of them for the very first time. Her eyes stopped at Venus, who was in the wedding gown and looked very beautiful. Alora realized why many nobles were interested in marrying Venus. Just because of Alora, the proposals would not come.
Magnus stepped up again and asked Tobias to give the scroll to him, which Norman had sent as a message to Alora.
Tobias was quick to comply with the order and handed the respective scroll to Magnus. Once the prince grabbed it, he walked to Norman and hit his head with it.
"You sent a message to Alora knowing the fact that she cannot read. You truly don't care whether your daughter lives or dies. Am I right?" Magnus taunted him. Alora intervened and requested him not to treat her father in such a way.
"You don't even know how I treat humans. It's the most decent way I'm treating your father," Magnus stated.
Alora's sharp glare made him step back and he rested on the sofa. "Sit," he asked Alora, gesturing to her. She wanted her family to sit down too.
"Let them stand for some time," Magnus said and extended his hand to grab her wrist. He drew her close and made her sit beside him.
Rhea quickly instructed a servant to serve water to Alora. She then asked Alora if she was fine. "We got the message from Prince Magnus about the attack. You didn't get hurt anywhere, did you?" Rhea's tone seemed worried.
"Nothing happened to me, Mother," Alora answered.
"Well, your daughter could have been dead if I hadn't happened to cross through that path," Magnus pronounced. Alora decided to wear the blindfold when Magnus held her hand, thus stopping her from doing so.
"I am grateful for His Highness's benevolent help to my daughter," Rhea expressed her gratitude. Madam Aubrey too thanked the Prince as she felt it was the right time to lessen his anger toward her.
"Norman, why did you go to my father, the King? You felt that I would stay quiet and do nothing," Magnus said and arched his brow at him.
"According to the rules, the vampires aren't allowed to intervene in the matters of the humans. My second daughter's marriage is near and I couldn't come to Elmswood. That's why I had to go to the palace. I apologize for my mistake," Norman explained while asking for forgiveness.
"I have no intention to forgive you," Magnus said.
The servant served the water to Alora, who kept her eyes down and thanked her. While drinking the water, she heard Magnus's words directed at her father.
"I know I've made a mistake and I'm ready to rectify it," Norman then stated.
"Norman, you are alive because I cannot hurt Alora," Magnus cleared him. Alora's father pursed his lips together as he was now terrified.
Alora put the water glass on the table and leaned back on the sofa. She whispered to Magnus, "Your Highness, I think we should leave."
She held the edge of his long coat's sleeve, urging him to take her away.
Magnus realized it was time to ask for what he decided to leave Elmswood.
"Norman Wilson, I want your eldest daughter's hand in marriage," Magnus pronounced.
Everyone in the living room left astonished. Alora looked straight at his face, wondering if she heard him right.
"I am kind of fancied by your daughter," Magnus continued and turned his head to look into Alora's eyes. "Her eyes are something, which made me fall for her. I intend to marry Alora Wilson and make her my wife," he stated, causing Alora to stop blinking.
"Mrs. Wilson, what do you think of my proposal?" Magnus asked Alora's mother, who was still in shock. "You have such a precious gem in your house. I will keep her like a princess," he stated.
Venus could not help but feel a tinge of jealousy. She couldn't fathom how Alora made a place in Magnus's heart. Most importantly, how could he even look at her?
"Pardon me for intruding like this," Venus said, "but my sister is cursed. The Prince will surely get better proposals than my sister." She didn't refrain from humiliating Alora.
"Apologize to Alora," Magnus said with a stern tone as he directed his sharp gaze at her.
Venus got confused when Madam Aubrey apologized to Alora on Venus's behalf.
"Did you not hear me? Apologize to Alora. If you won't, I will make sure no one ever marries you," Magnus warned Venus this time. "Get on your knees and apologize to my Alora," he affirmed.
Venus gulped and she apologized to Magnus for making him angry. "I'm in my wedding gown, so I cannot–" she couldn't complete her sentence as Magnus's voice roared.
"Get on your knees," Magnus pronounced. "Whoever calls her a curse, I'll make sure to kill that person. So, better watch your tongue before saying anything to the woman I cherish," Magnus clarified to all of them.
Alora couldn't believe her ears. The person, who fell for her was the Vampire Prince, Magnus. He wanted her to be his wife, and the thought of it surged happiness within her.
Venus got on her knees and apologized to Alora.
"Do you forgive your sister?" Magnus asked as he met Alora's eyes, which were intently staring at him.
Promptly, Alora got out of her thoughts. "Yes, I do," she said.
Norman, Rhea, and Madam Aubrey were stunned to see this sight. A vampire was taking a stand for Alora. Rhea knew this was the man, who would never let her daughter fall into danger. He would burn the world for Alora.
"I'm ready to give Alora's hand to Prince Magnus," Rhea said with a smile and took a step forward. "Alora, do you wish to marry the Prince?" Despite that, she once asked for Alora's choice.
"You cannot leave me. You promised me last night," Magnus reminded her by whispering in Alora's ear.
Rhea fiddled with her fingers, hoping for a positive response from Alora. She truly wanted her daughter to live a happy life and she could sense it would be with Magnus only.
"Yes. I would love to marry His Highness Prince Magnus," Alora said with a tiny smile on her lips while gazing into his eyes.
Chapter 20: Our lips were supposed to pucker
"Norman, prepare for your first daughter's marriage. We will get married tomorrow. Also, I keep her here for a day, and I don't wish to hear anything wrong happening to her," Magnus stated. It was a kind of threat to all of them to treat Alora well for the hours she was in the Wilson's house.
"Won't tomorrow be too early, Your Highness?" Norman asked.
"I think the same," Alora stated. She wanted Venus's marriage to happen first.
"Then, shall we marry today?" Magnus arched his eyebrow.
Alora's lips quivered and she pursed them together after thinking of no right response.
"Tomorrow will be fine, Your Highness. However, I have a question. How can my daughter look into your eyes?" Norman agreed to their early marriage before asking a question, which disturbed him for a while.
"Because she is my bride," Magnus answered.
Norman felt that a big burden from his shoulder would get off once Alora was married to the prince. Moreover, it was a rare sight to witness a human's and a vampire's marriage. Definitely, people would see him with more respect.
"Then, we shall make the arrangements for tomorrow. May I know Your Highness where will the marriage happen?" Norman inquired in his humble tone.
"It will happen in the palace. I'll send shortly the details of it," Magnus said. "I'll send the wedding dress for Alora in a while. Old Grandma made sure not to say anything bad to Alora. You have a few more days to live, so live them with comfort. Do you understand?" He asked Madam Aubrey since she was the one, who affected Alora's mental health the most.
Madam Aubrey couldn't even lie about her good feelings toward Alora. She just nodded her head.
"Then, I shall take my leave." Magnus rose to his feet. Alora quickly stood up as well and peered into his eyes.
"Your Highness, I have something to talk with you in private," Alora requested.
"Then, let's go to your room," Magnus said.
"My room?" Alora stopped blinking for a moment.
"Take the prince to your room, Alora," Norman told his daughter.
"Yes, Father," Alora said and asked Magnus to follow her. As soon as they reached Alora's room, Magnus shut the door quickly, causing her to jolt at her place.
"What is it that you wanted to speak with me in private?" Magnus queried with an amusing smirk.
Alora locked her hands behind her back. "Your Highness, I suddenly recalled how you tried to give me signals. Why didn't Your Highness directly tell me you wish to marry me?" She asked.
"I thought you were brainy enough to catch," Magnus remarked, glancing around the room. "Your bed is small," he observed, rushing to it. "The mattress is fluffy," he added.
Alora turned and hurried to her bed. "Your Highness, don't sleep here," she urged, trying to pull him up. However, her efforts were in vain against Magnus's weight.
Magnus relished her attempt to lift him and a mischievous grin crossed his lips. He seized her arm, drawing her down to him, a playful air lingering between them.
Alora's nose almost brushed against his and her lips parted to breathe. She promptly pulled away from him and took a few steps away from him. By now, a tint of red had spread across her cheeks till her ears and she tightly clasped her fingers together.
"Why did His Highness d-do th-that?" Alora was totally flustered by his earlier act.
"What did I do? You were the one, who pulled me and then ended up falling over me. Our lips were supposed to pucker," Magnus said, lingering his eyes on her red, plump lips.
Alora's breath hitched to hear him and she stopped blinking for a few seconds. Magnus noticed every single expression formed on her face. She lowered her eyes and then, turned her back at him, not wanting him to look at her face.
Magnus smiled to see her cute reaction.
"Your Highness, will the King and the Queen allow a human to become your wife?" Alora asked for what she brought Magnus to her room.
"Don't worry about them," Magnus said and he straightened himself on the mattress. "I would not have asked your father and mother to give me your hand in marriage if I had any kind of doubts," he clarified to her.
"Any other questions?" Magnus inquired her.
"No. This was my most important question, Your Highness," Alora replied and pivoted on her sandals to peer at him. "I truly desire to marry, Your Highness. That way my family will be free of my responsibility. I thought to stay true to you," she explained to him.
"Alora, for three hundred years, I have been unmarried. You see, no woman could charm me, but you are special. We will definitely marry tomorrow," Magnus reassured her. His words provided a sense of relief to Alora and she smiled a little.
Magnus appeared before her and leaned close to her ear. "I shall leave now. Take rest. I'll send a wedding outfit for you shortly," he whispered and gradually moved back.
Patting her head, Magnus left her room. Alora smiled brightly and she began dancing in happiness. She lay on the mattress and took a deep breath in. "I will also have a husband and a big family," she murmured.
Outside, Magnus instructed everyone to prepare for tomorrow's marriage. He also told them the marriage would take place in the palace. Once he left, Rhea instructed the servants to start working for Alora's marriage.
"Venus, go to your room and change your dress," Rhea told her.
"I cannot believe Alora can look into Prince Magnus's eyes," Madam Aubrey said and gazed at Norman. "Do you think the royal vampire family will let Alora be their daughter-in-law? Prince Magnus was the only one, who didn't desire to marry for a long time. Alora fancied him. This fact is hard to digest," she raised her doubts.
"Mother, did you not see the affection the Prince carried for Alora? He was the one, who saved Alora and took her to the palace. I think Prince Magnus is Alora's destiny," Rhea opined. She was unable to hide her happiness and continued smiling.
